- How's it going? Excuse me? How are you? How you doing? Are you doctor or something inquiring about my health? It's a figure of speech.
We're smart enough to know you don't want to ask the question.
We just say good morning.
- Or I could just say go fuck yourself.
- Yeah you could do that, if you're a kid.
Morning.
- How you doing? - You mean like, physically? [GUNSHOT FIRES.]

[CHATTERING.]
[CONLEY.]
Sorry, sorry.
No, I didn't see anything.
What a fucking real mess.
- Yeah, I know.
- What the hell happened? The shooter was positioned at the window over there.
He was gone when Conley got there.
- One person? - [CONLEY.]
Casings in just one window.
[KARIN.]
All from the same weapon? 762 by 39.
- Is this L.
H.
? - I don't know, but I can tell by your face you were about to tell me something else I don't know.
[SIGHS.]
There's was another policeman shot and killed this morning.
Fuck.
If this is L.
H.
, this whole thing is about to break wide open.
And if it isn't, we need to contain it before they start looking a lot closer to what's been going on here.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
Fuck.
There's something you need to see.
Hm? [CAMERAS CLICKING.]
[SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.]
[CONLEY.]
Someone translate please? I've been injured and hurt and wrongfully terminated.
My life has been taken and my livelihood destroyed.
All that mattered to me, all who loved me have turned against me through no fault of my own.
Now other people will be injured.
Other people will suffer.
Other lives and livelihoods will be destroyed.
No one will be exempt from my grief.
You acted unjust so justice will be served.
I've been at war with myself for some time but now I bring this war to you.
Signed, it's my turn.
It's my turn.
It's like he's not done.
Where did this come from? It was posted on the message board of the CID website exactly 14 minutes ago.
Who has access to that site? Police officers, but I guess most anyone who would care to could hack into it.
I've been tracking the IP address of the origin of that post and it traces back to an address in Enskede.
[CONLEY.]
So it could be a cop.
[EKLUND.]
No, that's too easy.
Yeah, it's too easy.
Kills a cop this morning, walks away from it unseen.
Shoots three of our guys a couple of hours later at police headquarters, now in two minutes we find his home address? I tell you this, wouldn't want to be the first person walking through that door.
Call the bomb squad and send them to that address in Enskede.
[OMINOUS INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.]
[SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.]
[CONLEY.]
I fucking knew it.
[EXPLOSION BOOMS.]
Let's go.
[OMINOUS MUSIC.]
Look at this.
His family.
Check this out.
[EKLUND.]
Look at that, he's a cop.
Looks like he was a damn good one.
I don't get it.
What type of guy leaves all this laying around and plans to blow it up? Someone who lost it all.
[KNOCKING.]
[PHONE RINGING.]
This is Martin Lindstrom's profile.
He graduated from the police skola, the academy, in January 2006.
In June of 2010 Lindstrom and his partner, Daniel Baldur Cop who was shot at dawn this morning? Yeah, they were assigned to the homicide unit.
Uhm, there was an incident involving a mentally ill suspect who was injured during an arrest and Lindstrom claimed that Baldur kicked the suspect three times while he was handcuffed and laying on the ground.
The suspect had bruises on his head and his back and suffered a concussion but he had no memories of which of the cops actually kicked him.
Lindstrom said it Baldur and Baldur said it was Lindstrom.
The CU investigated and sided with Baldur so Lindstrom was terminated.
Any relation to the former Commissioner Baldur? His nephew.
- His nephew? - Yes.
So Lindstrom was railroaded.
He was set up.
- Well, yeah, possibly.
- Possibly? I need to know if this involves L.
H.
and the other killings.
I need to know what to tell the press.
Now if Lindstrom is just a disappointed cop who believes his job was taken away, I can deal with that.
But if L.
H.
is coordinating killers to go after cops, we're fucked.
Yeah.
What's on his computer? We're analyzing it now.
- So far nothing ties into L.
H.
- Okay.
- I'm sorry for interrupting.
- Yeah? [JOSEPHINE.]
There's been another posting.
This is what he writes.
Self preservation is no longer important to me.
I do not fear death.
I died a long time ago when I was stripped of my integrity and pride.
What I want is an acknowledgement of the truth.
My demands are simple.
I want my family to receive my back pay for the last three years since I was unjustly terminated.
Have you got anything on his wife? Three residences, three different schools since she divorced Lindstrom.
Two months ago he lost his visitation rights and no registered telephone, cell or otherwise.
No utility bills or credit cards in her name.
And I want a public apology from the Stockholm Police Department for what they did to me.
Every passing day that I don't receive it more police officers will die.
Signed, Criminal Inspector Martin Lindstrom.
Criminal Inspector, it's like he's still on the job.
One way or the other we're gonna have to work out a way to apologize to him.
- Like hell we will.
- I think we should consider apologizing just as a way to speak to him directly.
Exactly.
What if it's connected to L.
H.
? What good would an apology do? No good, but we don't know that yet.
Find out, tell me what I'm dealing with.
[CONLEY.]
Well, one way or the other you're dealing with someone who's not gonna stop until you admit that he's been wronged.
You give him one thing, he'll ask for something else, and I'm not going to be the one saying that even if you've been wronged, even unjustly terminated, that it's okay to go out and shoot police officers.
That's exactly what we're not gonna do.
We're not gonna give him a voice in the media like the Americans do.
Great speech, lots of gusto, very sexy.
- Hey.
- What are you gonna tell the family of the next cop that gets killed? Because from now on, it's random.
We won't know where it's coming from or who it'll be.
Well then I suggest that you get up off your ass, find out where Lindstrom is, if he's connected to L.
H.
and fucking stop him.
I've got an address on Mrs.
Lindstrom.
[OMINOUS MUSIC.]
Let me ask you a question.
It's a difficult one.
He got violent, right? [WHIMPERS.]
That's why he lost his visitation rights? We're not trying to pry.
We need your help to find him before anyone else gets killed, so that we can help him.
He use the internet a lot? Yeah, 'cause he was searching for ways to get his job back, and it drove him crazy.
He was so angry all the time and yeah, finally he took it out on us and then I knew I couldn't do it anymore 'cause I had to protect my child.
[SOBBING.]
I don't want to talk to you.
You have no right to be here.
I want you to leave, now.
Go! [PHONE RINGING.]
[SNIFFING.]
[SOBBING.]
[SOBBING.]
- [GUNSHOTS FIRING.]
- [GROANS.]
[PEOPLE SHOUTING IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE.]
[ENGINE RUMBLING.]
[MONITOR BEEPING.]
[RAPID BEEPING.]
[SLOW INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.]
[RADIO CHATTER IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE.]
[PHONE BEEPS.]
[GENTLE PIANO MUSIC.]
[SHOWER TRICKLING.]
[PHONE BUZZING.]
Now is the time, please.
[CLATTERING.]
- [EASEL CLATTERING.]
- [CANVAS TEARING.]
[DOOR BANGS.]
And then after he shot him the suspect took his radio and went off in the hijacked car.
Have you been tracking the radio? [OFFICER.]
There's no signal.
He must have removed the battery.
Call Josephine and tell her to track this.
Jo, Conley.
Lindstrom's hooked up to the police central frequency.
Get a ping on his location.
Jo.
Fuck it.
All right, got it.
We tracked the radio to the Galleria Shopping Center.
Jo's sending the whole crew over.
Usual bullshit, it's a waste of time.
Lindstrom was a cop.
He thinks like a cop.
You don't think he knows we use radio and GPS locators? Well we have to go anyway.
- We can't ignore this.
- Yeah, Lindstrom know that too.
He knows we're gonna send the whole crew over to the Galleria Shopping Center and he's gonna be somewhere else.
We have to figure out where that will be.
He's not done.
He could be anywhere, so let's go search his house again.
[OMINOUS MUSIC.]
- Anything? - No.
Found something.
Swedish ain't my strong suit but it looks like it's from a storage facility.
[EKLUND.]
It is, 30 minutes away.
- 15 with me driving.
- [ENGINE RUMBLING.]
[BREATHING HEAVILY.]
[WOMAN WHIMPERING.]
[WOMAN SHRIEKING.]
[GRUNTING.]
[SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.]
444 straight ahead.
[TIRES SCREECHING.]
[WOMAN WHIMPERING.]
From the shoot out this morning.
Must have forgot to give it back.
You'll remember to give it back when this is done? Was just about to suggest that.
There, 444.
I see it.
You take the gate.
[CONLEY.]
Why do I have to take the gate? You're a tough Yankee cop, come on.
Now come on.
All right, all right.
[DOOR CLANGS.]
Clear.
Holy shit.
[TIRES SCREECHING.]
What the fuck? [ENGINE REVVING.]
Get down! - [TIRES SCREECHING.]
- [GUNSHOTS FIRING.]
[GLASS SHATTERING.]
Come on, come on, come on! [TIRES SCREECHING.]
[SIREN BLARING.]
[TIRES SCREECHING.]
[ENGINE RUMBLING.]
[SIREN BLARING.]
Not exactly trying to lose us, is he? [LIGHT TECHNO MUSIC.]
[SIRENS BLARING.]
[SIREN BLARING.]
[SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.]
Put your hands above your head, now! [CONLEY.]
He's rigged the whole car.
I will open the door.
Don't, don't you fucking move.
There are two people inside.
Do you want to see them or not? Slowly.
[WOMAN WHIMPERING.]
[MAN GRUNTING.]
Now you put your guns down! Or they die too! Hey listen, let me talk to you, okay? Those cops that you killed? They deserved it for what the department did to you.
- [GROANS.]
- We know you were set up.
But those people, they're not cops! - [GROANING.]
- [WHIMPERING.]
They're just people! [GRUNTING.]
You kill those people no one's ever gonna believe you're innocent, ever.
You kill those people, you lose your soul.
It doesn't fucking matter anymore! What about your wife and your kid? They're not important? Look, you're not gonna win, all right? Either he shoots you between the eyes or you hit that detonator and the whole place goes up.
Either way, you die.
Either way, your kid never gets to see his dad, never gets to be proud of his dad again.
Drop your fucking guns! - All right, all right.
- All right, all right.
We're gonna put our guns down.
We're gonna put 'em down, okay? We're gonna do it, okay? Slowly, over here all right? - I'm watching you! - Okay, you can watch.
I'm gonna put it down.
Okay.
[GUNSHOT FIRES.]
- [WOMAN SCREAMS.]
- [MAN GRUNTING.]
[OMINOUS MUSIC.]
[CAMERAS CLICKING.]
We have completed the diagnostics on Lindstrom's computer.
He was on a lot of chat rooms but they were all regarding civil employees who seemed to be wrongfully convicted.
None of them referring to L.
H.
or the deep web.
Here are the printouts.
[SIGHS.]
Andersson is gone.
