Steampunks (Part 2)

1 [cheerful music.]
# Harvey # # Harvey # # Harvey # Dade: Last time on "Harvey Beaks," there was a Steampunk City.
And okay, well and then it was flying.
And then okay, it started to fall, but okay, this is going a little fast then.
And then Harvey fixed it, which is all good, and then the crystal broke, yeah, yeah.
And then he got kicked out of the city ooh! And then he landed in Reject Town there I am! And then he promised the kids he could help 'em.
Okay, wait.
Okay, slow down! Slow down! What is happening?! [exciting music.]
[music.]
I spy with my little eyes something with - steam.
- Um.
It's that thing.
- You're right! - What do I win? Pride.
[exclaiming.]
We should get to the Power Crystal mountain any minute now.
Fee, this guy's really fun.
Look, he even fixed my head thingy.
[blades whirring.]
[laughing.]
He just needed a little motor oil and vinegar.
I feel brand new.
Whoo-hoo! Wow, I've never seen Foo so happy.
That's the power of friendship.
Are you doing a soft-shoe dance? [piano music.]
Friends make the world a better place Always there to put a smile on your face Hey, dude, watch it.
You're invading my personal space I can tell we're gonna be best friends Maybe after this we can grab a bite - Where's the wrench? - # Order pay-per-view # - # Watch a robot fight # - This is bad.
Now you're back and never leaving my sight - Wait, what? - # I can tell # We're going to be best friends 'Cause you'll never abandon me again; I'll make sure of it.
All I really need's my brother Foo and I Don't need no one between me and this open sky Hey, I made some cookies, want to give 'em a try? Maybe it's not so bad to have things like friends - Cookies! - See? Being supportive and having fun - is what friendship is all about.
- Back up.
So friendship isn't, like, an actual ship? It means I got your back, no matter what.
- No matter what, huh? - Of course.
So you'll help us with the burning trash? Or buy us ointment if we get a rash? Both: # Or help us steal the candy # From the private stash? [chuckles.]
That's against the rules, but you get the idea.
Now I've got a friend, and I'm flying high Feeling like a steam cloud in the sky Wait, wait, are you guys improvising songs? Why didn't anyone tell me?! I can tell we're gonna be best friends We can save the city, side by side Nothing else will ever get between you and I Better brace yourself, we're in for a bumpy ride Both: # I can tell we're gonna be best friends # I can tell we're going to be best friends Both: # I can tell # We're gonna be Best friends Yeah.
One, two, three.
# My name is Dade and I # Hey, look.
We're here.
[dramatic music.]
Whoa.
It's beautiful.
This is what I imagine a girl's closet to look like.
So we could probably jackhammer the entire cavern, sell everything on the black market.
I've got buyers.
Shouldn't we ask for permission? [imitating a motor.]
Um, who would we ask? There's nobody around.
Greetings.
[yells.]
Welcome to the Crystal Cavern of Power, Madness, Majesty, and Chaos Supreme Mountain.
I am Roberts, Keeper of the Crystals.
Namaste.
And you must be the pizza delivery people.
I let your manager know that I don't believe in tipping.
Uh, actually, we just need a Power Crystal to save our city.
Is it okay if we borrow one? Ah, yes, that's disappointing.
I'm very hungry, but please, go ahead and take - any crystal you wish! - Ah, thank you, sir.
See, Fee? You just got to ask nicely.
Whoa! [laughing.]
I lied because I'm evil.
You have awakened the Crystal Princess.
[electricity humming.]
All: Whoa.
Don't look directly at it.
It's horrible.
[crystal clanking.]
Ew, who woke me up? I was dreaming about clothes.
Hello, sweetheart.
Now, only one of the crystals here is the true Power Crystal, but you must choose wisely, because the rest lead to your doom.
[music.]
[cackling.]
- I'm gonna sit on you.
- Guys, we got to find that crystal! [all screaming.]
Hey.
This one gives me a good vibe.
[gasps.]
- Harvey, I found it.
- Harvey, I actually found it, but I'm gonna let Foo think he's right.
[percussive electronic music.]
Fabulous.
Every time we touch the wrong crystal, she grows bigger! We have to be methodical about this.
Got it.
Touch them all.
[thud.]
[grunting.]
Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi.
Yuh-oh.
Maybe I should touch the flashy one, but it knows that it's the flashy one, so maybe I shouldn't touch it, but maybe it knows that I know that it's the flashy one, so maybe I should touch it.
[tinkling keyboard music.]
[gasping.]
[yelling.]
[grunting.]
Is this seat taken? [grunts.]
[laughing.]
That was dumb.
Now it's time to sit.
I'll play some sitting music.
Before we get squished by a crystal butt, I just want you guys to know I'm glad we became friends.
Huh? Friends? - What's that? - Oh, you know.
Friends put a smile on your face and make the world a better place.
Oh, I have those.
See? No, princess.
Real friends are people who always have your back.
There are all types of friends out there.
Friends that share their motor oil, friends who look out for you, and friends who take you on an airship that has a face.
A face, you guys.
A face! [bones rattling.]
Hmm.
You know, if you want, you could be our friend.
[all whispering.]
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Really? You You mean it? Oh, my cogs! I mean, if you can handle this much zazz, - then, yeah, I guess.
- "Zazz" what friends are for.
Maybe you could help us find the Power Crystal.
- Oh, okay, it's just right here.
- Princess, wait! Don't show them the oh, oh, I can't say no to you.
There, now I'm, like, the best friend ever.
[gasps.]
Now we can fix the city! [both cheering.]
Yep, appreciate it.
Whoa, look at the time.
We better skedaddle.
[whispering.]
Go, go, go, go, go.
Wait, no, I'm coming too.
Daddy, I'm moving out.
Give me credit cards! [crying.]
My little girl is all grown up.
Um, the thing is, I don't think you're gonna fit on my ship.
Okay, rude.
[electricity humming.]
There are crumbs in this pocket.
They're mine now.
I'm not sharing.
[munching.]
[dramatic music.]
Yeah, we got the crystals.
[all cheering.]
I was thinking we'd have to just blow up that mountain, but I guess you were right, Harvey.
This friendship thing really does make some things better.
I'm steering the ship with my body.
Now that we have the Power Crystal, we'll just stop and pick up our friends in Reject Town.
[somber music.]
[people screaming.]
Ah-bazap, ah-bazap, ah-bazap! Flower bazap.
[crying.]
Not the flowers, no! [people screaming.]
What's going on? Why is everything on fire? Hello, Harvey.
Mayor Moff? You like my cool hologram technology? Well, I can afford it, because I have a credit card with a $500 limit.
Jealous much? My friends and I found a Power Crystal that can save the city.
You're not saving doodley-squat.
Get him, boys.
What? [laughing.]
Now we have the Power Crystal, and you have a two-day-old baguette.
Joke's on you, sucker.
Wait.
Stop! Looks like your dumb little plans are ruined, gear boy, and I'll let you in on a little secret.
It was me.
I sabotaged the crystal and blamed you, and it worked.
- So it wasn't my fault? - Ooh, this is getting juicy.
[cackling.]
Oh, jeez, sorry.
I didn't know you were in the bathroom.
Get out! I'm not done! I I ate a lot of steam wings.
You won't get away with this.
We'll expose your plan! But how will you get here if you don't have a ship? [whispering.]
Fredd Bots, blow up the ship.
What? [music.]
All: Ah-bazap! [explosion.]
No! My ship.
Have fun living in your dump town.
Good-bye.
I hate you.
[stammering.]
[groans.]
But [yells.]
Nooo! [somber music.]
- Flowers, flowers, flowers.
- Aww.
I didn't think it was possible, but Reject Town just got worse.
- What are we gonna do now? - Nothing.
[all gasp.]
This is all my fault.
I lost the Power Crystal.
I lost your chance for a better home.
I even lost your current home.
I lost it all.
That's a steaming pile of steam dookie.
You think you've lost it all, but you haven't lost the most important thing: us.
# Ships come and go # Get zapped up and will blow up Into flames sometimes But you think that was my only ship? Oh, no.
# We still have # The friendship kind [guitar strumming.]
It supports you like your mother It makes our poor hearts sing We won't give up on each other 'Cause friendship Can do anything It can lift you up When ya stumble Heed the call when you ring Feed you empanadas When your tummy rumbles All: # 'Cause friendship can do # Anything That Moff guy's a big jerk with power like a king But, Harvey, we've something only friendship can bring Do you know why? 'Cause friendship Can do anything We're going to Steamberg, and nothing's gonna stop us! Everybody to the ship! [all cheering.]
Oh, yeah It's too bad we can't just make another ship out of all this garbage.
Both: Or can we? Can we? All: # Desert you it will never # But fly us like wings It will carry us forever 'Cause friendship Can do anything Friendship Can do anything [laughing.]
Irving.
Can we use my new crystal? Are you ready? Yep, all set, buddy.
Toss it here.
[stammering.]
Ooh, man, that could've been really bad.
[crystal humming.]
[metal clanking.]
[steam hissing.]
The city's floating away! We need more power.
[metal squeaking.]
Just set her down over there, Fee.
Nice and easy.
Easy, easy, easy.
[crash.]
Ah, this is the life.
The city is running smooth, and us buddies have all the time in the world - just to hang.
- I still can't help feeling bad about what happened to my apprentice.
I mean, I'm not really sure why, but he kind of felt like a son to me.
Irving, I told you never to mention that boy in my presence again! I mean, it's all very sad, but the boy's gone forever.
Attention, citizens of Steamberg.
What?! Attention, please, um, up here.
[groans.]
It's the boy! I spotted it with my bigoggulars.
Mayor Moff has been involved in questionable activities.
[all gasp.]
Is he stealing newspapers? Because someone keeps stealing my newspaper.
Uh, no, but he intentionally sabotaged Steamberg and caused it to crash.
Plus, he attacked all my friends in Reject Town.
Don't worry.
Most of us survived.
I can't believe an elected official did something corrupt.
Is everything he said true? So I framed a child for a crime.
- [chuckles.]
We've all done it.
- I can't believe it.
My apprentice was innocent this whole time.
I'm sorry, Moff, but I I can't hang out with you anymore.
[gasps.]
But, no, Irving, please! Come back.
We can get through this.
Oh, Harvey, I'm so sorry we flung you out of the city.
I still hope you would consider being my apprentice.
I'd love to.
All: Aww.
That's nice.
Okay, now I'm upset.
Fredd Bots, assemble! [dramatic music.]
[panicked murmuring.]
I want every rotten child thrown out of my city immediately! Fredd Bots, initiate synchronized tactical attack removal.
All: Bazap, bazap, bazap.
[all screaming.]
Come on, guys.
We deserve to be here as much as anyone, and we're not leaving! [all yelling.]
[music.]
Hiyah, hiyah, hiyah! [lasers firing.]
A'ight, tin-girl.
Let's do this.
[yelling.]
Yah, yah, yah! [lasers firing.]
- That was for the flowers.
- Wow.
[grunting.]
Uh-oh.
[laser fires.]
[crystal humming.]
[gears grinding.]
[all screaming.]
Not again.
[people skidding on floor.]
Harvey, we have to do something fast.
Get to the control panel.
Here, take this gear.
You fixed it before.
- This is a washer.
- There's no time! Shut up.
- Go, go, go! - Oh, I don't think so.
[dramatic music.]
Ha! Yeah, that's right.
My tower expands and whatnot.
Super cool, huh? That is cool, but I'm not gonna let it stop me.
Hey, dum-dums, over here.
[yells.]
Oh, yeah, as if.
[roars.]
You guys can't even handle my hot body.
[grunting.]
Wow, now, that's something you don't see every day.
- What?! - [grunts.]
It won't fit.
[metal clanking.]
Stop right there! - You're not playing hero again.
- Please.
You have to help me fix this machine, or the whole city's doomed! I don't give a darn about this city.
There's only one thing I cared about, and you ruined him.
Now face the wrath of my steam sword! What What does the steam do? It doesn't do anything.
It just looks cool.
That's the whole point of steampunk.
It's not practical! [grunts.]
- The gear.
- You are super annoying.
[metal clanking.]
Your gears are annoying.
[metal clanking.]
And worst of all, you stole my best friend.
[grunting, metal clanking.]
Perfect.
Wait.
Before you destroy me, I just want to say I'm sorry.
- I'm sorry for being a distraction.
- Distraction? What are you distracting me Ow! Do what you got to do, dude.
[music.]
[all screaming.]
[metal clanking.]
[people screaming.]
[grunting.]
[crystal humming.]
[groaning.]
Hey, everybody.
Harvey saved the city again.
[all cheering.]
Whoo-hoo-hoo! That's my apprentice.
That's right, you guys live with me now, so don't act like you're not excited.
[crowd cheering.]
Good job, kid.
[somber music.]
Did you come to rub it in my face how you're better than me? Congratulations.
I just don't understand why you did all this.
I mean, why did you act like kind of a jerk? I don't expect you to understand.
It's so easy for you.
You have so many friends, but but I don't have anyone now.
Oh, maybe I'm just not meant to have friends.
Anyway, take care of Irving for me.
Crowd: Harvey, Harvey, Harvey.
Wait, Moff, come back! Crowd: Harvey, Harvey, Harvey, Harvey, Harvey.
What? Steam? [coughing.]
Harvey, Harvey, Harvey.
- Harvey? - [groans.]
Steamberg, Dreamberg Huh? Where am I? You spent the day at Moff's, remember? I did? Oh, yeah.
I guess it was all a dream.
Wait a minute.
[gasps.]
Hold on, Dad, I have to do something really quick! Irving, you're back! I saw you standing outside and started standing by the door, just in case you - oh, it's just you.
- Hey, Moff.
I know you've been feeling bummed out lately, but I, uh I thought maybe this would cheer you up.
It's steampunk, right? Uh, yes, gears are very steampunk.
This one oh, this one's kind of extra steamy-punky, actually.
- [chuckling.]
Well, thank you.
- Come on, kiddo.
We should probably be getting home soon.
Actually, Dad, why don't you stay at Moff's for a bit? I've got a bunch of kid stuff to do, anyway.
Well, it looks like I can hang out today after all.
This'll be fun, huh, buddy? You and me, just like old times.
Uh, yes, just the just the two of us.
[music.]
- Hey, kid! - Huh? - Here.
- What was that? [grunts.]
Oh, jeez, I'm sorry.
You were supposed to catch that.
- [chuckles.]
It's okay.
- Look, I, um I was thinking.
Why why don't you, you know, stay and we can all hang out? You know, sort of together.
Really? Can Fee and Foo come too? Both: Can we? [eyeglass shatters.]
[forced.]
Sure.
[both laughing.]
[cheerful music.]
Hey, Irving, that's cheating!
