Hudson and Rex (2019) s03e04 Episode Script

Under Pressure

Oh, hey Rex.
Hey Sarah.
Good morning, Charlie.
Not so good for our victim, I see.
What's his story? Gasses from decomposition lifted the body to the surface.
The current did the rest.
Judging by the state of maceration we're looking at eighteen hours give or take.
Oh, someone's eager to get started.
We've already done our once-over, Rex.
You do your thing.
Alright, partner.
Go to work.
At least the sea lice haven't gotten to him yet.
- We got a name? - Not yet.
We checked with all the dive shops.
But no one has been reported missing.
Well, divers usually travel with a buddy.
If he didn't have a partner, didn't register with a dive shop, he probably didn't want to be found.
Except I'm not sure he was alone.
See that? Severed.
Clean through.
It's likely a knife.
Which makes this officially a murder.
Although, he could have done it to himself, if he was under the effects of nitrogen narcosis.
Narcosis makes you feel more elated, not suicidal.
There's a reason they call it the martini effect.
Looks like you know things.
Well I mean, I am a Dive Master.
Closing in on a thousand dive hours.
I'm in the presence of a Master? So are we talking like higher or lower than a Jedi? What's have you got there, partner? Looks like someone didn't get enough play time.
Rex is on the clock.
So Well, he knows it's not playtime.
And plus it's a strange place for a tennis ball.
Not exactly primo fetch territory.
Maybe it came in with the current? Yeah.
Maybe bag it just in case.
May the force be with us.
Okay, thank you.
Hey Charlie.
Any word on our John Doe? Well, a police sketch has been released to the public.
But nothing yet.
No local divers reported missing.
And nobody recognizes the drawing.
Okay, maybe he's from out of town.
If I haven't heard anything by the end of the day - I'll issue a national.
- We may need to go further than that.
I've just checked the Canada Missing Persons Database.
They don't have anybody matching our victim's age or description.
Maybe Jesse can dig something up something using the CCTV.
He's already on it.
Well, remotely.
Remotely? Yeah.
He's in San Diego, remember? For the police tech conference.
Something about being able to absorb it more in person.
Absorb what? Information or Mission burritos? Speaking of which Hey Jesse! Hi! Hey Rex! Well, I spoke to the bartender at J & J's Marina.
And someone matching our murder victim's description was there three days ago with a brunette female.
How'd you manage to pull that off? Oh, well extreme geeking out and a lot of hotel coffee.
Yeah, allow me to screen-share.
Okay, so based on the trajectory and speed of the currents, the weight of our victim and the approximate time of death, I traced his path 34 km up the coast to this general area here.
Soldier's Cove.
Yeah.
Also home of J & J's Marina.
So I took a shot and gave them a call.
A couple of the staff remember that there was also a woman with him which they all assumed was his girlfriend.
Oh, that's room service.
Got to go! Wow! Maybe we should send him out more often.
He's even better on the road! Not as long as he keeps ordering room service on my dime.
So, Soldier's Cove.
Ready for a road trip, partner? No such luck, my friend.
I didn't get either of their names.
But this is definitely the guy.
Do you remember anything about him? Just that he ordered smelts a sustainable fish.
Bottom feeders are better for the eco-system.
What about the young woman? Age, appearance? She was in her mid-20s.
Brunette.
They got into a bit of an argument.
He took off, and didn't even finish his beer.
Stiffed her on the bill too.
- You mean she paid for the bill? - Yeah, the whole enchilada.
I'm going to need you to dig up that receipt.
Keep the change.
Hey there, buddy! You lost? Lucia Cruz? Detective Hudson.
SJPD.
This is my partner, Rex.
Three days ago you were with your boyfriend at J & J's Marina.
You mean Devon Rudd? And he's not my boyfriend anymore.
Is he in trouble or something? He's dead.
You okay? Lucia, I know this is difficult.
But I need to ask you about the fight you two had at J & J's Marina.
Devon had this crazy idea to hit up some motels and eat our way down the coast.
We barely made it out of town before things went south.
In what way? Devon had a surprise planned.
He pulled over to a secluded place went to the trunk.
I thought he was going to pull out a bottle of wine.
But inside were two sets of scuba gear.
What would give him that idea? I've told him I wanted to try it.
But not in the open water.
And not without a proper instructor.
Do you have any idea where he was going to take you to dive? Just that he had some secret spot.
Any idea why it was special? Was there a view? Or I don't know something particular under water? He shut up pretty quick once he realized I wasn't into it.
How did he react when you weren't interested? He thought I was hangry.
So he drove us to J & J's for dinner and tried to win me over.
I tore into him for not asking me first about the scuba stuff.
Then he stomped off to the washroom.
And next thing I hear is his car screeching out the driveway.
I was in the middle of nowhere with no way to get home.
I had to call my sister to pick me up.
She drove an hour from the city to get me.
Did she drive you home? That was the plan.
But she saw how upset I was and invited me up for a glass of wine.
We ended up drinking so much I crashed there.
Mmmm.
I never saw Devon again.
Do you know of any friends that Devon might have visited that night? I can't think now.
But I'll let you know if anyone comes to mind.
What about enemies? Devon didn't have enemies.
Everyone loved him.
Abandoning me at the restaurant was totally out of character for him.
One last question.
Do you have anything with Devon's scent on it? I have his hoodie in my car.
Why won't you do that with groceries? Hey, Sarah.
Any news? Unfortunately, yeah.
The tennis ball Rex found was too compromised by salt water to give us any forensic material.
Ah, that's too bad.
Any word on the alibi? According to Donovan, Lucia's alibi checks out.
And her sister confirmed that she spent the night at her apartment.
What about our victim, Devon? His roommates haven't heard from him or spoken to him since Tuesday.
And they confirmed that his grey Sedan is missing.
Well if Jessie's theory is right Devon must have started his dive somewhere near Soldier's Cove.
So his car might still be in the area.
I'll let you know, Sarah.
Okay partner, get the scent.
Track it.
What have you got, pal? Good job, partner.
This is where he went into the water.
And that's where he came in.
Grey Sedan.
Good job, buddy.
Hey! Detective Hudson.
Is this your car? Nope.
Stop! Police! Rex, go! Aghh! Aghh! What part of Stop! Police! Don't you understand? What were you doing near that car? Anything to say? Right.
Well, I'll do the talking.
Barry Lysiak.
Part-time accountant.
Lives alone.
Salary, sixty thousand.
You know, what is a mild- mannered accountant doing rigging a bomb in the car of a murder victim? Hmm? Do you recognize this man? His name is Devon Rudd.
Ever seen him, Barry? Fine.
I know there's something in that car that you don't want us to know about.
Now, we've got you on multiple charges.
If you don't want me to add murder I want to know who it is you're working for and what it is that you're trying to hide.
Just give me a name.
Any name.
If only they made evidence gloves for paws, huh? Mmmm.
So how bad is it? Pretty bad.
This was high-grade C4 explosives.
The contents of that trunk were incinerated.
Along with our case against Barry for Devon Rudd's murder.
Nothing else? We do know something that was inside that trunk even though it was incinerated.
We found traces of xylene and toluene which my chemists were able to reverse engineer to determine its source.
Spray paint.
Specifically, Electric Cherry.
Yeah, and there's only one company that makes this exact shade.
Chromatic Inc.
out of California.
$24 a can.
That's three times the normal price.
Why is it so expensive? Well, it's low-VOC and all natural.
It's the price you pay when you want to go green.
The bartender at J & J's Marina said that Devon made a point of ordering sustainable fish.
- So? - So what if it's not a coincidence? What if our accountant, Barry is also a radical environmentalist? Spray-paint for vandalism.
And then bombs for something more sinister.
There has been an uptick in activism given the state of our oceans.
Well, this is more than activism.
These are potential eco-terrorists.
One of whom was murdered.
Charlie, can you pull up all cases of environmental vandalism in the last six months? Uh yup.
That, yeah, I got this.
There we go.
Yeah, that's vagrancy.
Ah.
Jesse, I am not.
No, you aren't.
Here we go! Anything by the waterfront? Um- Local fisherman, Captain Jack Swift.
He had his boat vandalized.
Look at that.
What? Sprayed in red.
Electric Cherry to be precise.
Any idea who's behind that? No.
Wait, this is odd.
Captain Swift changed his mind.
He suddenly retracted his complaint.
Hmm.
Why would he do that? Because someone gave him reason to keep his mouth shut.
Well I guess we need to give him a better reason to open it up again.
Hey! Where did you come from, buddy? His name is Rex.
And he's on duty.
Detective Hudson.
You're Captain Jack Swift? What can I do for you? Well three months ago, you registered a complaint against some people vandalizing your boat.
I was just wondering if you could help me identify them.
Do you recognize either of these men as the vandal? This younger gentleman has been murdered.
We believe he was targeted while he was scuba diving near Soldier's Cove on Thursday around mid-day.
Yeah well I was fishing Clay Point at that time.
That's nowhere near there.
I didn't ask you where you were.
My partner is trained to source out trouble.
Anything I should be worried about on your boat? The crew likes to smoke a little bit of ganja.
I'm not going to lie.
Why did you withdraw your complaint against the vandals? I had a change of heart.
Not because they had something on you? Look.
I don't want any trouble, Detective.
Okay, I'm just an honest fisherman trying to make an honest day's work.
And whoever targeted your boat could tell us who killed Devon Rudd.
I don't know who they are.
These people like to stay hidden.
They only care about their message.
Which is? That the ghost nets that are breaking free in storms are killing the oceans.
That's why I've cleaned up my act.
No more illegal drift netting.
No more lying about my by-catch numbers.
So you expect me to believe that the reason you withdrew your complaint is because you agree with their message? I think you know more about these people than you're letting on.
Well, we'll just continue to chase them.
And if we discover from another source that you do know who they are then I guess we'll just charge you for impeding a murder investigation.
I don't know their names.
But I do know the name of their group.
The Deep Water Defenders.
According to CSIS they are a notorious underground eco-terrorist entity from Vancouver, BC.
They were responsible for the bombing last year of the Canada Pipeline which successfully resulted in a 12-month delay of the project.
Thank God.
Uh that we're finally going after these hoodlums.
So we're assuming Barry Lysiak is a member? Yeah, he's originally from Langley, BC where he minored in environmental studies which fits the profile.
The question is is Devon Rudd a member too? And if so, how does this all tie into his murder? Yeah, I don't know.
But maybe Jesse's done a deep dive on the dark web.
I can give Jesse a call.
Hi! - Find anything? - Perfect timing.
I've been monitoring this chat room on the dark web that might be tied to the Deep Water Defenders.
Sort of like a WhatsApp for eco-terrorists, if you will.
The talk is mostly cryptic and vague.
But check out what I've just found.
The deal was for photos only.
What you're asking for is a step too far.
Yeah, check out Rainbow6's response.
The ocean is more important than any single life.
Even yours.
You have been warned.
That sounds a lot like a threat.
If we can link this conversation to Devon and Barry we could get Barry Lysiak on intent to murder.
That's good work, Jesse.
You've earned yourself some sightseeing.
But Sarah needs photographic evidence.
Well actually it's raining.
Some I'm just going to hang in.
But how often do you get to be in San Diego? That's true too.
But I just I'm very busy this afternoon.
Wait.
I thought you just said you were hanging in.
And shouldn't your conference be over for today? Yeah, it is.
But me and some of my cop techie buddies are going hit a few craft brew pubs.
There's a pomegranate sour that I'm super excited about.
I'm telling you, he's a millennial.
- I can't figure them out.
- Okay.
How are we going to link this threat Jesse just found back to Barry? Yeah and how are we going to find someone who's willing to point the finger at this guy? We might not need to look too far.
I'm sorry.
Have another look.
Please.
Please.
I've never seen this man before.
Certainly not with Devon.
Is he someone important? Well, we believe he's an operative for an eco-terrorist group called the Deep Water Defenders.
We also believe that he was working with Devon.
Devon was no eco-terrorist.
Well, people can be deceptive.
That's why I prefer dogs.
Devon had a hard time putting a hook in a worm when we fished.
He'd never hurt another living creature.
There's no way he'd join a group like that.
Okay.
Well Lucia, thank you for coming down.
I appreciate it.
Oh, before I forget.
I was doing some social media reminiscing on Devon when I came across couple of his college friends.
I seem to remember he was planning on calling them.
Do you think you could write their names down for me? - Yeah.
- Thank you.
Any luck, Charlie? Another dead end.
All these names Lucia gave me Connor Lucas Kiernan Rowett, and Lance Diamond all live out of province.
And Jared Gladwell is sequestered for jury duty.
Yeah, well that's not good enough.
We need something that connects Barry Lysiak to our murder victim.
There's got to be something we're missing.
You see something? Wait wait.
Look at names Lucia wrote down.
Do you notice something? Now, take a look at the graffiti on Captain Jack's boat.
The rounded Ds.
The dotted Is.
Yeah.
That's a perfect match.
Devon Rudd might not be a member of the Deep Water Defenders.
But I'm betting Lucia Cruz is.
I didn't kill Devon.
I loved him.
Obstruction of justice is the least of your worries right now.
I'm going to ask you a few questions.
And I need the truth this time.
You understand? Are you a member of the Deep Water Defenders? - Yes.
- Was Devon? He was under consideration.
Pending what? Completion of our mission.
So that's what your trip was all about? It was a mission? The original plan was to capture underwater footage of illegal drift netting.
But the plans were altered at the last minute.
And by alter, you mean setting a bomb- to blow up a fishing boat.
We were promised no casualties.
It was supposed to explode after everyone got off.
So it would be captured by security footage and go viral.
Mm-hmm.
Who's your boss? Is this him? Is Barry Lysiak Rainbow6? Lucia, I know that this is stressful.
You think that's why I'm crying? Because I'm stressed? The love of my life died fighting for a cause he believed in.
And you expect me to set his cause back by ratting out his allies? I'm not looking for his allies.
I'm looking for his murderer.
Hmm? I found that in Devon Rudd's car.
Any idea what it is? Mmm.
We have Lucia Cruz in custody.
In Lucia's statement she said that you met with her and Devon Rudd in an abandoned parking lot the morning of the day that Devon was murdered.
You stuffed his trunk full of scuba gear, details about their target.
What you didn't mention was the explosives.
Because that was Lucia's job to sell Devon on the idea at dinner at J & J's Marina, at which point they got in a fight and Devon drove off.
Is this sounding familiar to you? Octopi change colour when they dream.
Did you know that? They're also one of the only other species besides us that know how to use tools.
And you're telling me this why? Because a million get trapped in ghost nets each year, abandoned by fishermen using illegal drift nets.
I share your passion for the oceans.
I don't share your passion for murder.
I didn't kill Devon.
I have severe asthma.
I'm not allowed to dive.
Well your new recruit Devon, is allowed to dive.
Now he's dead.
He must've tried to go on the original mission by himself.
If what you're saying is true, then Devon's target had a motive to kill him.
So I need a name.
Hello again, Captain Jack Swift.
Yeah.
At the time of Devon's murder the Coast Guard recorded his GPS here, heading east.
You're getting pretty good at that.
Yeah, who needs Jesse? Soldier's Cove.
This is where Jesse determined that Devon had been killed.
But, when he was with Rex and me, Captain Swift said that he was at Clay Point, which is right here, 16 nautical miles away.
That's nearly two hours by boat.
Yeah, so why lie? I have a theory.
Can you make that part bigger? Yeah, no problem.
Um Uh, wait.
What's this about Who needs Jesse? Ah, very funny.
Okay, so last summer I tagged along with some colleagues, on a fishing trip, right near there.
And you can see how it's by a thermocline.
Oh am I expected to know what that means? It's where currents, with violently different temperatures meet due to the different depths.
Apparently it makes a feeding frenzy for cod.
Well Captain Swift is a shrimp boat captain.
Do you think that he's doing illegal deep-net cod fishing? Well he's up to something fishy alright.
For most shrimp boats average revenue is down 40%.
Yet Swift's have quadrupled.
That sounds like more than cod.
You think he might be smuggling? Well that's not uncommon for fishermen during these tough economic times.
Which means this is less about the state of our oceans and more about the the state of Captain Swift's wallet.
What're you thinking, Charlie? I'm checking the fishing logs from last Thursday.
Something I want to see.
Here we go.
Yeah, s, according to this Captain Jack left the marina with four men, including himself.
But then, this is the photo that Jesse got from J & J's Marina the same morning.
Oh, there's six men on that boat.
Yeah, two extra.
Our smugglers? Can you sharpen that image? Nope.
That is above my pay grade.
Well send that file to Jesse.
And let him know that his workation is over.
We need to find out who those men are and what is they're peddling.
You know, I think Rex might already know.
He was really interested in Captain Swift's boat.
He might be smuggling drugs.
Marine warrants, they take forever, Charlie.
Who needs a warrant when you have a Rex? You lied to me, Captain.
You lied about being in the waters near Clay Point.
Why? Fishing can be pretty competitive, Detective.
You don't want to reveal your hand when you're scoping out new terrain.
Look I've got nothing to hide.
You go ahead.
Search my boat.
Well, I don't think it's the boat he wants to check out.
It's your truck.
We haul bait with that truck.
That must be what he's smelling.
Okay, partner.
Thanks for your time, Captain.
What is it? I don't know.
But Rex sensed something in the back of that truck.
That's all I could find.
We think our captain's been smuggling.
Some kind of drug paraphernalia? Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
So see if you can check it for trace narcotics? Yeah, I'm on it.
By the way, I did a little digging into thermoclines.
- Oh! - Well with Jesse AWOL-, I guess somebody needed to wear the geek hat.
It's an important role.
I mean how else would you learn facts like extreme temperature differentials in the currents of thermoclines can actually make an area sonar reflecting? Sonar reflecting? Looks like Jesse better watch his back.
So the thermoclines prevent any smuggling activity from being detected by satellite.
Which means we can forget about Google Search to help us.
I spoke to Drugs.
And there's been no uptick in narcotics.
What if it was something else? I checked that rubber fragment.
No narcotics.
But I did find traces of gunpowder.
And the rubber matched the tennis ball Rex found earlier.
The one that came up empty? Empty of forensic material.
But I didn't check for ballistics.
So I had a second look.
There were stiplings deeply imbedded in the rubber.
Undischarged grains of gunpowder.
Tennis balls are used as silencers.
This isn't about drugs.
It's about something much worse.
It's about guns.
I just spoke with Border Services.
There's been a huge uptick in guns and gun violence over the past, well specifically, a new generation of Tec-9's.
And up until now, no one knows how they've been coming in.
That could explain Captain Jack Swift's growing bank account.
Maybe this'll help.
This is from Jesse.
He sharpened the images on that security footage and ran it through a facial recognition database.
John Dryden and Keith Dunhill.
First one had priors, including armed robbery.
But he's fled the province.
The second not so lucky.
He was found at Middle Cove with a 9mm in his brain.
9mm.
That's the same calibre bullet as the Tec-9s.
Yeah, so if Swift is behind this, he's good at tying up loose ends.
Probably going to silence everyone around him.
Well not those that we have in custody.
We're holding on to the last guy who potentially spoke to our murder victim.
Barry Lysiak? No, he's not going to say anything.
I've already spoken to him twice.
Well speak to him again.
I think it's time for a new tactic.
Hey, buddy.
Yeah.
You know, you can tell a lot about a person by how they treat an animal.
We have to keep you in custody for the explosion and eco-terrorism threats.
But we're no longer making you for the murder of Devon Rudd.
It's my fault Devon's gone.
I should have never put him in a position to need to prove himself.
You know what makes a good operative? Hope.
A lot of people think it's too late for us to save the planet.
Devon was different.
He believed in the capacity to change.
He believed in humanity.
That's a rarity.
Then help us find his killer.
I have nothing concrete.
I need your help.
Barry, if you know anything at all Devon had a camera.
We didn't find a camera with the victim.
Each scuba suit came with a mesh gear bag, that held an extra pony bottle of air and an underwater camera.
Not only does the camera withstand depths of a thousand feet, it comes with a GPS tracker.
Wait.
So if Devon had caught a picture of the cargo, the killer probably took the camera.
Find the camera-find the killer.
Do you still have that tracker? This camera is quite something.
4K video capability.
Fish eye autofocus? But seriously, if I ever go full eco-terrorist, I am so working for Barry.
Huh.
Did you get that GPS to work? Yeah.
There's goo, news, bad news, and really bad news.
The good news is I did manage to get a signal.
The bad news? Bad news is the signal is weak.
Really bad news is it's not coming from Captain Swift.
It's coming from the bottom of the ocean.
There's got to be another way to break this guy.
Just the man I was coming to see.
I was desperate.
A man called.
And he offered me enough money to compensate my crew for the winter.
I listened.
How's the operation working? Sellers on the US side drop the guns into the ocean with a tracking device.
I home in on the signal We use a diver to retrieve the package.
And the buyers? Well they pose as fishermen.
They would test out the product on my boat, using tennis ball silencers.
It was airtight.
Why are you coming clean now? It was supposed to be a one-time deal.
But then I got pushed into a second drop and a third.
Now all I can think about is all the innocent people who might die because of this.
Why didn't you just say no? I tried.
My handlers started threatening my crew and my family.
And I know his threats are good.
He took out one of his own buyers and that poor diver of yours.
And I only know him by his first name, Zane.
He'd call me once a week on an encrypted cell phone.
He would use a modulator to hide his voice.
I just want this to be behind me, but I'm out of moves.
Luckily, we're not.
Hello? Hey.
Zane, is that you? There's another drop.
4 PM tomorrow.
Can you handle it? This guy's a pro.
His voice is untraceable.
And the signal is bouncing off multiple cell towers.
Good.
You know the arrangement.
Find the signal.
Come on, Captain.
Keep stalling.
You're doing great.
There is one problem.
My crew.
They want more money this time.
Thirty thousand.
That's double what we agreed to.
The risk is getting higher.
The risks go both ways.
More money means more potential exposure.
Almost home! And might I remind you what happened to the last buyer who talked too much? Yeah, I- Tell me you got that, Jesse.
No.
No, everything was working.
He just didn't give us enough time.
It's okay, Jesse.
It was a good try.
Go have some craft beers on us.
Thanks.
I'm sorry.
It was Keep me posted.
Let's hope Zane isn't on to us.
Yeah.
We can't play that card again.
We're going to need a new play.
There is that camera.
We picked up the signal on Devon's camera.
It's at the bottom of the ocean.
No idea what's on it.
But it might contain evidence.
Evidence? What evidence? Devon could have caught a photo of the guns.
And possibly even the killer.
It's a long shot.
But it's a shot.
Okay.
Well if he did, I'm going along with you guys this time.
I think we're going to need a Dive Master.
For the record, it is one above Jedi.
Come on, Rex.
Whoah! Go that way! 60 feet.
Current's pretty strong.
You sure you want to do this? We need to find this camera! Might be our last chance to figure out who murdered Devon Rudd! Well why don't we stick with ten-minute bottom time? If the current pushes me too far I'll resurface and we'll start again.
Joe.
How's our signal? Yeah, we're practically there.
You're good to go, Charlie! I'll be back.
Currents are stronger than I thought.
It's making it hard to track where Charlie's diving.
The dog seems worried! He's going to be back in five, four, three, two, one.
I think he's behind the boat! Not according to my metres.
He should be about 20 yards ahead! Charlie could be in trouble! Charlie is a Dive Master! I'm pretty sure he'll be perfectly fine! I'm telling you, he's behind us! You're going to take a dog's word over mine? Rex!! Alright, come on! Just leave him! We'll double back and get him! We've got to save Charlie! Let's go! There's Charlie now! Come on Charlie! Don't you quit on me! Come on! Ahhh! Thank God! Thanks for saving my life.
It was all Rex.
I think you owe somebody a trip to the butcher shop, to get him a T-bone.
I owe you one, pal.
Yeah.
First send the cavalry to J & J's Marina.
I know who Zane is.
You ever been trapped underwater- unable to breathe? Yeah.
It's a swirl of panic and chaos.
Now you have a story to tell.
Consider it a gift.
You know, when you left me to die down there it was indescribable fear.
Worst way to die.
Only thing worse would be knowing I was going to be behind bars, for the rest of my life, because my plans were ruined by a dog.
But at least you've got a story to tell.
Consider it a gift.
Come on, pal.
- Hey! - Hey! Just the guy I was looking for! I'm glad to see you alive.
Well you can thank Rex for that, with an assist from Joe.
You know, it's too bad Jesse's not here to record it.
Speaking of Jesse, I figured out why he was so desperate to go to San Diego in person.
The police tech conference Well it was only one of the events happening there.
Turns out Jesse did take it online, freeing him up for the event he really wanted to go to.
Comic Con! I think he'd rather keep that from Donovan.
My lips are sealed.
Although we still get to rub in how much fun the case he missed turned out to be.
And for me, kind of inspiring.
I'm thinking a bit about the Deep Water Defenders.
And while I don't-you know- approve of their methods- I am behind their message.
You're not the only one.
Great.
Because Captain Swift, Barry Lysiak, and Lucia Cruz, they're all doing community service as part of their sentencing.
And you think that we can shape how that looks? Well, it's already happening.
We're using the captain's boat for a very special cleanup project.
Now, we are missing one piece.
But luckily, it involves your unique skill set.
Hmm.
I need to hear the magic words.
So It involves your unique skill set Mister Dive Master.
You're bad.
Really? That is a lot of nets you pulled in from the ocean, Charlie.
I'm not sure whether to pump my fist or cry.
Pump your fist.

You ready? Next time on Hedson & Rex So what have you got? The victim's name is Briane Peters.
Briane Peters? She's the president of World Healing! She was drinking her morning coffee when she collapsed.
Was she the only victim? Yeah.
Suggesting she was targeted.
Can you think of anyone who might want to hurt you? Trolls.
So who could have slipped the drug into her coffee? An email did stand out- from Dana Mulvey.
World Healing promised to bring supplies- and they never arrived.
Rex and I have someone else we need to talk to.
