1 - Vamos! - Whoo! - Come on! - The new couples had mixed results.
- Oh! - Ooh! [mule brays.]
- whoo! - But derek was gunning For his third win in a row This time with his new partner erica.
- Aah! Announcer: Oops! He broke his toe.
- I knew something was bad.
[siren wails.]
- This allowed new partners ben and samantha To race to the finish line first.
- You guys are off to the oasis.
- [kissing sound.]
- There, ben tried his best To form a connection with samantha.
- The oasis is the perfect place to really [cork pops.]
- whoo! - But when samantha and ben visited the cabins, Samantha reconnected with her true flame, mike.
Too bad ben wasn't as smooth with brandee.
- You're stupid.
- Which is why At the couples' choice ceremony - I'd like to switch back to brandee.
- I'm gonna decline.
- She shot ben down.
What a shocker.
- You're gonna have to step to our unmatched area.
- All of the other couples got back together, And with derek officially out of the competition, He returned to say one final good-bye to jess - I do care about you.
I really do.
- Leaving her without a partner, So she was forced to join ben and brandee In the unmatched area.
In the end, it all came down to ben.
He had one last chance to win brandee back.
- I'm gonna ask brandee to stay And see if we can figure this out.

- Bring out the voodoo masks, Because steele wants to break His performance curse once and for all.
- Steele is just in this zone.
- But it will be no easy task [mask breaks.]
Because the remaining couples Will be pushing the limits Like never before.

- Watch as couples ride, Slide, and zip their way - Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! - To a couples' choice ceremony That takes drama - What? - To unbelievable new heights.

- After the last adventure, we had the mandatory switch, Where we all had to separate, And then at the couples' choice ceremony, Everybody just kind of paired up back With who they were with.
- Whoo! - I sure as hell was glad that I got back with heather.
I was like I was pumped.
I was really excited that it worked out.
I have a lot of feelings for heather.
For me, she's just like the total package.
- Home, sweet home.
- Movin' back in.
- Movin' in.
- I was fortunate enough to get back together with sam.
You know, she's smart, she's beautiful, She's funny.
Did you miss me? - Shut up.
Maybe a little.
- Yes! She's basically found her way into my heart.
- Whoa-oh! Holy crap.
- What? - The armadillo's out here.
That's a big-ass armadillo.
[laughs.]
- I care for steele.
The bottom line is I just enjoy The time that I spend with steele More than anything.
- There's definitely potential for me and erica To have a relationship in the future.
We definitely had a lot of fun together, And it's kind of the building blocks for a relationship.
- Oh, benny-boo.
- [scoffs.]
Benny-boo got denied tonight.
- I think ben's ego took a huge hit this evening.
I really like ben, But I want somebody that I know Wants to be with me.
I want somebody who's proud to be with me.
It's obvious that the other guys Are interested in the other girls.
It's not obvious that you're interested in me.
- I like brandee a lot.
She's a great girl, And any guy would be lucky to have a girl like that.
But I'm definitely not A "talk about my emotions," "show my emotions" kind of guy at all.
I apologize for making you feel like that, So all I can do is try to not make you feel like that And work on it.
- Okay.
I guess you could call this a probation period for ben.
I just need for ben to prove to me That there's something there at least.
And we'll see if anything changes.

All right, everybody, welcome to rancho margot.
It's an expansive area In the middle of the wilderness in costa rica.
And this is the starting point for your next adventure.
How are we all feeling? - Great.
- Incredible.
- Good.
My guess is You all have a different approach to finding love, Just like you may have a different approach To completing today's adventure.
And here's how it's gonna work.
There are five stone carved masks Hidden in very different, distant locations.
Your job is to track them down And collect all five of them.
There's one at a boulder, There's one in a fichus tree, There's one at a pile of rocks, One at a waterfall, And one at a guava grove.
First couple to collect all five masks And find me at the finish line Gets sent off for a night Getting treated like a british royal At the oasis.
As well as that, there's a bonus reward, Zip-lining across This magnificent jungle canopy.
- Nice.
- So whoever wins this one Is gonna be having a great time tomorrow.
As well as that, You'll have a guaranteed switch At the couples' choice ceremony And will be safe from elimination.
Now, before we start this adventure, I'm gonna come over And let you all draw a map.
Now, all the maps are the same on the inside.
What is different is the first location, Which will be on the front of the map.
Theresa.
Lucky last.
There you go.
Do not open your maps at this point.
Just take note of the first location, And that's where you must head To get your first mask.
After that point, it's completely up to you How you tackle the rest of the locations.
As you can see behind me, there are a number of signposts Pointing to those different locations.
One by one, where are you off to? - First, we're going to the large rock pile.
- We're going to the fichus tree.
- The guava grove.
- Boulder.
- Behind the waterfall.
- Okay, we're getting down To the nitty-gritty, guys.
And you're all pairing up quite nicely, So the position you come in these adventures Is really gonna play a part At the couples' choice ceremony, So race hard.
You'll have to cover a lot of ground, So make sure you pace yourselves.
Ready to go? [all answer.]
- Okay, on my mark, Three, two, one, Vamos.
- Okay.
Here, now.
- Right down here.
- "large rock pile.

How you feelin' today? - Good.
Mike and I, we want to be here For as long as we can together.
- What's rule number one? - Positive.
So I'm excited for us to be back together, And I hope we can rock it.
- Hold on.
We had to go to the guava grove first, And that involved just crossing the river right off the bat.
Me and erica are really starting to hit it off, And the oasis would be pretty phenomenal.
- Got it? - Yeah.
I'm almost dead last every time, so I'm gonna do what it takes to win, And I'm gonna push erica as hard as she needs to be pushed, Because I'm fired up to win now.
Keep it movin'.
We're in good shape here.
- Steele was just in this zone, And it's a zone I've never even seen before.
Got one.
All right, there's one at the large rock pile.
He was in that mindset, that winning mindset.
I think that's hot.
I'm like your little pinball today I'm just trusting you.
Scary.
- Hey, hey, hey, watch out behind, brandee.
Holy cow.
To get to the waterfall, you must take horses.
Ho, ho, untie the other one for me at least.
Me and brandee, we bicker, But I'm not tryin' to make her feel bad about herself.
- Oh, my helmet's comin' off.
Can you tighten it? - Oh, come on.
How do you tighten this thing? - It's gonna fall off.
- I don't know where to tighten it at.
Just get up there, brandee.
We can mess with it in a second.
- Oh, [bleep.]

- Going into this adventure, I feel more pressure than usual, Because last time, he and samantha came in first place, So I'm feeling like now I've got to come in first To prove to him that I am a good partner.
This is not gonna work with my helmet.
- Hold on.

- I'm just hoping that he is gonna be more supportive, So that I can perform better.
On that last adventure, The mule that we had had gas.
- Come on, brandee, let's go! - Coming up - Stop! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! I've never been so scared.
I was freaking out.
- Whoo! Oh, god.
- And later - Brandee was 130 pounds of dead weight.
- Oh, my god.
Ben? Jaw literally dropped.
Hey steve, you got the remote? On this adventure, we have to go to five different locations And collect a mask from each of the locations.
This doesn't look like we have too far to go, huh? - No, this might be good.
- On our first adventure, it was a lot of The puppy dogs and ice cream stuff, But now it's more like, "let's win," Because I want to spend more time with heather.
There they are.
- Where? Oh.

- We got the first mask real quick, Which is good, because at this point, Really you want to be in the top half Or you could very easily end up going home.

- Yes.
[horse neighs.]
[grunts.]

Look for a horse with a nice ass.

- What does his butt look like? I se this, like, stud of a horse.
[grunts.]
- We're going up there.

Ben and brandee, they're, like, halfway up the hill already.
Their horse took off.

We get off the horses and head for the waterfall.
And at this point, I just started getting very annoyed.
Every time I stop and look back, She's 30 feet behind me.
You gotta push yourself right here.

- I'm trying to wait on you.
I'm trying to go as slow as I can.
- His competitive nature just takes over.
I mean, all he's focused on is winning.
Oh, wow.
- Once we get to the waterfall, We're in a mad rush at this point.
I just wanted to get the mask and go.
You know, that water's coming, like, 80 feet above, So it felt like a bunch of rocks Were hitting my head.
They had us climbing a steep ladder, And I was just trying to move my [bleep.]
Up that ladder as fast as possible.

- [bleep.]

- Come on! But brandee is basically 130 pounds of dead weight.

- And I really thought she was gonna Kind of like break down on me.

I was really surprised.

This is seriously awesome, though, If you think about it, these adventures.
I mean, me and skip.
We're pretty much, like, inseparable at this point.
You know, we love being around each other, And I know, like, if we came in last, We could go home, And neither one of us want to go home.
We want to make it to the next adventure.
Oh, this is awesome! So our goal at that point Was just try to make up time somehow.
I hear water over there.

- My horse is smelling your horse's ass.

This is amazing.
- So we start taking off, like, up this huge hill On the way to the waterfall.
Oh, my god.
Oh, my god.
Whoa.
And my horse starts walking too fast, And I have no feet in the stirrups, And I've never been so scared.
I was freaking out.
Whoa! Stop.
I'm [bleep.]
bounced around Like a [bleep.]
rag doll right now.
- Just hang on tight, baby.

fly off this horse.
- Use one hand to guide, and just stay on your hands.
- My feet are falling out of the stirrups.

He's such a strong person, And I admire him so much, Um, that I definitely think he is becoming my rock.

I'm just hoping and praying to not die.
- What's the first thing you're gonna do when you get home? Erica seems like she's being a little too serious A little too fast.
- What? - She surprises again, huh? - Wow.

- On this adventure, You've got five stone masks That we're supposed to pick up.

I wanted to make sure that we got the win.
You know, I wanted to go back to the oasis.
- [panting.]

- I think erica was really struggling, And I was kind of worried Because I really wanted to win it.

So we're all fighting to not be last.

- I look back, and I thought we were way ahead Of skip and theresa, But they were literally probably only, like, 30 second behind us, So I know we have to push it.

- We're headed toward the finish line.
A lot of pressure to keep moving, But we weren't prepared For what we discovered once we got there.

- Whoo! Whoo-hoo-hoo! I jump on, and that thing shoots me down the jungle Like a cannon.

- I was so excited for us To be able to go back to the oasis, Because mike and I have come such a long way Since the first time we were there.
And so it was definitely like a triumphant moment For both of us.
- Hey, you know the best bit About coming first on this one, Zip-lining, guys.
- I'm excited for that.
- Awesome.
- That is the coolest thing you can do In costa rica.
It is totally amazing.

- I definitely did not come to costa rica To be treated like this.

- It felt good, because it was so important for us To not come in last place, And we definitely want to make it to the end So that we can spend more time with each other.

I mean, it's in those competitions I just-- I get so pissed off.
- You know, you still got The couples' choice ceremony tomorrow.

The way he yells, it's very degrading to me, And it's just hard to push through that.

It was just not a good situation at all.

I know it's not necessarily a good thing.

I like brandee a lot, And I know I'm very tough and very demanding on her, So I'll have to work on that If I'm gonna continue to hang out.

Heather's definitely special, And I definitely care about her a lot And would like to see what can possibly happen After we're done here in costa rica.

- Miles is somebody I could fall in love with.
We're still being lighthearted, And that seems to be working for us.
And if we do fall in love, Then it happens.
- Is it just as pretty as you remember? - No, it's much, much prettier, 'cause I had to work harder for this.
- It feels like everything has progressed naturally, Between mike and I, so coming back here We're just, like, celebrating the fact That, like, we're still here together.
- Second time at the oasis But not the last time.
I haven't seen anything like you before.
I didn't envision having anybody Until I was in a relationship For, like, a couple years, honestly.
- Coming into this whole experience, I really never considered the possibility That there would actually be someone here That I could have feelings for.
Definitely did not expect the connection I've had with mike.
- Sitting in bed with you with my arm around you, I wanted to put that moment In a bottle and carry it with me For the rest of my life And remember it.
I want to have that forever.
I've never felt this way about anybody so quickly.
I can't remember the last time I was this happy.

I've never really been In a really serious relationship, But right now, that's kind of something That is worrying me.

- Ben sits down and kind of tells us About his adventure, And my jaw literally dropped With some of the comments he was saying.

- Well, I just wanted to, like, check in And make sure everything was okay.
I feel like if I was in her position, I would be hurt by some of the words that were used.
I hope that his words don't affect you.
- Well, they do.
I need positive reinforcement.
I just need to be encouraged.
- Well, I just tried to give her a pep talk.
I think we all are really close here, And the last thing we want to see Is somebody hurting.
I don't want to see you put in a situation Where you're feeling down about yourself.

- The girls were very supportive, But, then again, if I make it through the elimination, I don't know what's gonna happen between ben and I, Because the communication problems are a concern.

- Theresa and I, we know how Each of us feel about each other, Because we just show it.

And I think that's what makes good couples.
- I just think about skip, And I, like, have a smile on my face.

I think we're both kind of blown away With how much we like each other.

- So is this anything Like you thought it was gonna be? - Not really.

- We're about three months into a relationship.

- Right? - As much as you guys might even be Further along in the relationship, How far are your girls along in that relationship? You think you're like, "oh, I'm 30 days in.
" She's thinkin' you're, like, a year in.
- I was kind of worried about, You know, what's gonna happen when we all get home? And, truth be told, I actually don't know what's gonna happen.
I really, really like erica.
I personally have, uh, a lot of feelings for her.
- I mean, is she gonna ask me to marry her? - Yep.
It's true.
- Right now, erica might feel more strongly for me Than I do her, So I'm kind of torn as to what to do here.
I decided to go back to the cabins And see what everyone else was doing.
I want you to take one of those oranges over there And bite into it.
- Ohh! - So miles and heather and I decided Let's play a game And dare each other to do stupid things.

- Ohh! - If you want to be in, you gotta be initiated.
- Skip shows up, and he was a good sport.
- Let's see it, like Yeah, that's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
- They have these, like, weird plants here.
They look like a big orange microphone.
And one of the dares was Just don't say anything to steele, Just go in and whack him on the head with it and walk out.
- [whispers.]
somebody's sleepin'.
- Mike kind of walks in, And I kind of go stand in the door, 'cause I gotta see this.
- [moans.]
- Steel, like, goes, "unh!" - [laughing.]
That thing is super juicy.
- Was he pretty bad on the challenge yesterday? - He's just really competitive.
I knew from the beginning we didn't work well together.
- Everyone should go through these before marriage.
Just go through, like, ten of these adventures.
Yeah, yeah.
See what happens.
Then decide if you want to get married or not.
Going into tonight's couples' choice ceremony, I'm kind of having a hard time about what to do here, Because I don't want to lead erica on in any way.
- I'm a good sport.
Like, I have good sportsmanship.
He doesn't at all.
We're total opposites.
- Ben and brandee aren't getting along at all.
Actually started to feel kind of bad for her.
- I just got really down on myself here really quick.
- Mmm.
- And lost all my confidence.
- Why'd you lose confidence? - I guess when I realized That none of the guys were interested in me, Except for ben.
- That's not true.
- No, I don't think that's true.
I actually haven't had a chance To spend a ton of time with brandee, But from the few conversations we have, I think she might be a really fun girl To maybe get to know a little bit better.
- Basketball and volleyball.
- What position did you play in basketball? - Point.
- Are you a tall point? - Yeah.
- Yeah? - 5'9".
- When steele was talking to brandee, I'm not gonna lie, I was a little insecure.
She's got a great personality, But I'm pretty confident That steele would still pick me tonight.
[monkeys screeching.]
- You excited for zip-lining today? - Yep.
- Do you think we'll see a sloth or a toucan? - Maybe a toucan.
That'd be fun.
- A one-can or a toucan? - [forced laugh.]
Jokester mike.
[laughs.]
- The prize for winning first place In this last adventure was to go zip-lining Here through the jungles of costa rica.
I had never been zip-lining before.
It was one of the main things I really wanted to do, So I was real excited to win that prize.
- Whoo! Oh, my god! Let's go! - Oh, god.
- Whoo-hoo-hoo! I've never seen anything like this before.
And the fact that I was getting to experience that With sam was something special.
Oh, here she comes.
Yeah, sam! She is a very special person to me right now.
Whoo-hoo! - Whoo! - Going through that zip line together Was the coolest experience of the day.
- Whoo! Whoo-hoo! Whoo! - [laughs.]
He makes me a better person at the end of the day, And he's who I want to go home to.
I feel lucky to have him for sure.
- Yay.
- You're sexy when you zip-line.
- And sweaty.
- Let's get some food.
- I'm starving.
- In my mind, I was picturing This being like a fun adventure-type stuff.
Not, like, exhausting.
- Skip and theresa went way faster than you.
- At the last couples' choice ceremony, I was done with ben, And then he asked me three times To give him another chance.
- I wish you would have been this mad On those steps yesterday.
- Not a whole lot has changed In the way ben's been treating me.
It doesn't make me want to keep going When somebody is yelling at me the way you do.
- Repeat something I said.
What? Really? You're the one talking about it.
- I'd like to see anybody else Go through all those things like I did with you.
- Well, I had fun with you no matter what.
- I cannot say the same.

- I want to be around people That love and support me, And that think that I'm worth something.

There are five stone carved masks Hidden in very different, distant locations.
Your job is to track them down And collect all five of them.
There's one at a boulder, There's one in a fichus tree, There's one at a pile of rocks, One at a waterfall, And one at a guava grove.
First couple to collect all five masks And find me at the finish line Gets sent off for a night Getting treated like a british royal At the oasis.
As well as that, there's a bonus reward, Zip-lining across This magnificent jungle canopy.

- So whoever wins this one Is gonna be having a great time tomorrow.
As well as that, You'll have a guaranteed switch At the couples' choice ceremony And will be safe from elimination.

- Right now, erica might feel more strongly for me Than I do her, So I'm kind of torn as to what to do here.

- Mike kind of walks in, And I kind of go stand in the door, 'cause I gotta see this.
- [moans.]
- Steel, like, goes, "unh!" - [laughing.]
That thing is super juicy.
- Was he pretty bad on the challenge yesterday? - He's just really competitive.
I knew from the beginning we didn't work well together.
- Everyone should go through these before marriage.
Just go through, like, ten of these adventures.

Going into tonight's couples' choice ceremony, I'm kind of having a hard time about what to do here, Because I don't want to lead erica on in any way.
- I'm a good sport.
Like, I have good sportsmanship.
He doesn't at all.
We're total opposites.
- Ben and brandee aren't getting along at all.
Actually started to feel kind of bad for her.
- I just got really down on myself here really quick.

- And lost all my confidence.
- Why'd you lose confidence? - I guess when I realized That none of the guys were interested in me, Except for ben.

I actually haven't had a chance To spend a ton of time with brandee, But from the few conversations we have, I think she might be a really fun girl To maybe get to know a little bit better.

- What position did you play in basketball? - Point.
- Are you a tall point? - Yeah.
- Yeah? - 5'9".
- When steele was talking to brandee, I'm not gonna lie, I was a little insecure.
She's got a great personality, But I'm pretty confident That steele would still pick me tonight.

- You excited for zip-lining today? - Yep.
- Do you think we'll see a sloth or a toucan? - Maybe a toucan.
That'd be fun.
- A one-can or a toucan? - [forced laugh.]

- The prize for winning first place In this last adventure was to go zip-lining Here through the jungles of costa rica.
I had never been zip-lining before.
It was one of the main things I really wanted to do, So I was real excited to win that prize.
- Whoo! Oh, my god! Let's go! - Oh, god.
- Whoo-hoo-hoo! I've never seen anything like this before.
And the fact that I was getting to experience that With sam was something special.
Oh, here she comes.
Yeah, sam! She is a very special person to me right now.
Whoo-hoo! - Whoo! - Going through that zip line together Was the coolest experience of the day.
- Whoo! Whoo-hoo! Whoo! - [laughs.]
He makes me a better person at the end of the day, And he's who I want to go home to.
I feel lucky to have him for sure.

- In my mind, I was picturing This being like a fun adventure-type stuff.
Not, like, exhausting.

- Not a whole lot has changed In the way ben's been treating me.

- I made the decision to pick brandee Basically because I just didn't want to Take it further with erica.
Me and erica were both getting attached to each other.
I was definitely enjoying my time with her, But, uh, I've been the situation before Where I've kind of hurt girls, And I didn't want to do that to erica.
This has been a very unique experience, And I will cherish this for, I mean, The rest of my life.
- My ego is definitely bruised.
It was on-the-spot rejection.
I think steele's scared of commitment.
I liked steele.
We had a blast together, But then again, I don't want to be here with someone Who doesn't want to be here with me.
There are so many different elements That I can take away from this.
And I'm just excited to offer what I've learned here In a new relationship And start something new.
