The Window

I want to present to you
the greatest player to ever live.
Lionel Andrés Messi.
He's started the trend now.
The greatest player in the world
has come to MLS, and more will follow.
I think any great club
in the world will always go out
and find a player
that did not come through their system.
The transfer window is the massive,
big marketplace.
You basically go abroad
and find the best players there,
with all the clubs in the world and
GMs and sporting directors of the world
trying to buy the players
or sell the players.
Like NBA and NFL, you trade for the best
players already within the league.
We're extremely excited
for Riqui to join our club.
Arguably one of the most significant
signings in the history of the league.
You're looking for that marquee player
that really sets you apart
from the rest of the league.
If you want to be one of those teams,
you need to scout and scout well.
You need to spend.
The good players, you know who they are.
The difficult part is
convincing these players.
And the agent oftentimes
has to be the guy playing hardball.
That's where it gets tricky.
It's not just what you see on the field.
A fucking donkey, man.
This business is cutthroat.
Your future gets set…
Andiamo!
…or it doesn't.
And this is the time
where you can improve the team
or kill the team.
The LAFC desperate for goals,
so they're reportedly in advanced talks
with a man who's made a living
out of scoring them.
LAFC having conversations about
bringing in Olivier Giroud.
Today, with the team
near the top of the MLS standings,
we are here to introduce yet another
member of footballing royalty to the club.
Thank you for your confidence.
Thank you so much.
What about living
in Los Angeles appeals to you?
It's an amazing experience of life.
I spoke to Zlatan.
Which was the wrong part of the city.
We always have looked to the summer window
to make a big transfer in order to
bolster the group to strengthen us
for the run in through MLS Cup.
Olivier Giroud,
France's all-time leading scorer.
- Still getting it done?
- One hundred percent.
The expectation is to win
and to win everything.
Giroud is the real deal.
That's exactly what LAFC need.
Olivier Giroud signing for LAFC,
that's a big-ass deal.
And the reality is, that puts
the rest of the league on notice
that you're not messing around.
Olivier Giroud, LAFC.
All right, let's just start with
the details straight up.
I think that that's gonna give this team
just another dynamic, another dimension,
and it's gonna improve them
across all qualities of play.
Not great. Not great.
- Hey, Will.
- Hey. Have you heard yet?
Yeah, and we're worried.
No, for sure. Me too.
I'll be there in, like, 15 minutes.
We'll find out what's actually going down.
- What's up, boss? How are you? Welcome.
- How are you, bro?
- Everything good?
- Yeah, yeah.
- Excited to be in LA?
- Yeah.
- You know it's the place to be, right?
- Yeah.
The MLS summer transfer window,
it's that final opportunity for clubs
to really bolster their squads
and maybe put you in contention
to compete for a championship.
When I first came to Charlotte,
I didn't have the faintest idea
where Charlotte is.
I left a very comfortable life
living in London.
Leaving Europe, leaving my friends,
my family, my daughters,
it wasn't easy decision.
But I want to be known as a successful GM
and someone that helped build
one of the best clubs in the league.
It's a tough one, you know?
Little bit of stress,
little bit of expectations.
Little bit of everything, you know.
Like, look at this stadium. Amazing.
My name is Zoran Krneta.
I'm the General Manager
and Chief Soccer Officer of Charlotte FC.
You asked for my name, it's this.
This will be the name. "Z."
I've always lived in big cities.
And now, suburban, suburbia life.
It's new for us.
We don't really know
how to live in a house.
We always lived in apartments,
so we're trying to figure out
how to live in a house in North Carolina.
In Charlotte.
I think my previous work
as an agent in England
helped me to understand the business.
I've represented some big superstars.
I've represented Ivanovic, Branislav.
This is the access
that not many people have,
and that's really important,
especially for the job I'm in.
This is the year one.
Charlotte-Atlanta.
That's signed by all the player.
Came here when nothing was here.
It was just incredible ownership who
wanted to kind of build a club from zero.
It's not easy, but you know,
I feel that we created something.
- Vargas finally finds…
- That's a goal!
…his finishing boots!
Now we are in year three.
We have a club that is competing.
Patrick Agyemang!
We have an incredible fan base,
a great stadium, a great training camp.
We are now ready.
And we're going to go now
and get top players
that will help us win the MLS Cup
and be one
of the best clubs in the league.
Being an agent helps you.
Hey, guys. Good morning.
I know the soccer players
in the top leagues.
- You guys okay?
- Yeah.
You simply know how to negotiate.
You simply know how the agent thinks.
You simply know how the players think.
I think that's a huge advantage.
Especially during the transfer window,
as we know.
The transfer window happens in summer.
This is where the clubs try to buy or move
and sell the players, trade the players.
If you're a smart operator,
then you suddenly can find yourself
not only in playoffs,
but fighting for the final of MLS Cup.
There was a story about
this famous Serbian basketball coach.
He said, "I don't need a team of dogs.
I need a team of wolves."
They have to fight for everything.
They don't got anything.
They have to find the food,
the water and everything else.
And I said, "This is the team
we wanna create. A team full of wolves."
We're still short a couple of wolves.
The only trouble with wolves…
They're untrainable.
Yeah. That's not my problem. This is…
You're the coach. That's not my problem.
Dean is a well-respected
Premier League coach.
Dean is certainly a name,
which is very, very important.
He is someone that will make
the outside world take notice
and suddenly realize,
"Okay, Dean is a smart guy.
He's a good coach, so if he thinks
Charlotte is good enough for him,
okay, it might be good enough
for some other players to come."
- How's the hamstrankle?
- It's good.
- Yeah? Feel all right?
- Yeah, it's good. Yeah. Not bad.
It's just here, but…
I am Dean Smith,
Head Coach of Charlotte Football Club.
I wasn't looking to come into the MLS,
I must admit.
Right, just gonna review the game
from the other night.
I'd been offered a number of jobs
in the UK,
and I got a call about the Charlotte job.
We wanted to jump and press,
and they played in behind our press.
And if you remember,
you'll see the chances they get.
My initial, you know, answer to
whether I'd be interested was "no".
And then two days later,
I get a phone call saying,
"Zoran won't take 'no' for an answer."
I said, "He might have to."
There was like flat no.
There was zero chance.
I sent him a text message saying,
"Hey, Dean, I understand
that you're not particularly interested,
but I just wanna quickly catch up."
And then after one hour and ten minutes,
he basically said to me, "Let me speak
to Nicola, my wife, and my kids."
They get out and this is the danger zone.
Westy ends up getting dragged forward.
Now they're getting
in front of our back four.
And at that point, I knew I had him.
You know, as an agent,
if you take "no" too many times,
you're not going to last long
in this business.
I keep saying that he's our best finisher,
and we're struggling to score goals.
He just gets caught offside too much.
Be it with the transfer window
coming to the close,
goal-scoring has been our Achilles' heel.
To Vargas!
Diani! Off field!
Charlotte's looking to turn around
their meager goal production.
If we can go and get the right players
in now, and sprinkle a bit of stardust,
I think we can do really well.
We know the targets that we're going for.
I know that you are going to check in
on a couple of these specifically.
We're keeping a few warm as well.
So who do you think would…
I know where we're at
with what the coach is thinking,
but who would you really like to have?
Marco Reus is our target.
Marco would be an ideal number 10 for us.
He's a leader, he's a winner.
He would help us to get goals.
He would be a perfect addition
to this team.
Marco Reus is a World Cup winner,
so to be able to sign a player
like Marco Reus
could make the difference between
making the playoffs or lifting a trophy.
This is what
the summer transfer window is all about.
- So what's the latest update with him?
- They're very interested.
They wanna go to MLS apparently.
So that's good. That's good news.
I'll be going to London.
I'm hoping to meet the agent
and hoping to meet Marco, potentially.
Maybe. Not sure.
For me, to bring someone of this name
and stature and level and quality…
The most important part is,
does he wanna be in Charlotte?
- Is my jacket down there?
- Yep.
LA is an incredible city.
When you move to LA,
you can find a sense of home.
You'll feel comfortable.
All right. Babe, we're leaving.
- Good luck. See you.
- Thank you. See you there.
- Love you, Mom. Bye.
- We'll see you there. I'll come grab you.
John Thorrington.
I'm General Manager and Co-President
of Los Angeles Football Club.
In my opinion
you should sign Jude Bellingham.
- I should sign Jude Bellingham?
- Yeah.
He's not quite attainable for us just yet.
How do you know about him?
I watched TikTok edits.
Right.
It's probably true that however
you find out about a soccer player
define the way that I would never
find out about a soccer player.
John Thorrington, the brass at LAFC,
came in and came with a bang.
BMO Stadium is rocking in Los Angeles.
Our supporters have been there
from day zero
who helped build this together
and really inculcated a culture
and an identity to what we see today.
One of the best fan bases in this league
and one of the best stadiums.
It was a collaborative exercise
with the supporters,
who we would say
are the key stakeholders at LAFC.
Whether it's the stadium,
whether it's the star power,
they have Los Angeles buying in.
They connect with the whole stadium.
They get loud, everybody get loud.
When you talk about successes,
the reigning Western Conference champions,
they've been to back-to-back MLS cups,
winning it in 2022,
as well as winning the double that year
by winning the Supporters' Shield.
What they've done in terms of how many
trophies they've won
in such a short amount of time,
it is incredible.
It's a city of stars,
and certainly you see that
in our amazing owners.
Are you guys ready? Yeah?
You think you can score on me?
Something that LAFC has done well
since inception
is to add that star power.
Olivier Giroud,
wearing the number 9,
comes in for Cristian "KiKe" Olivera.
When the big games come,
that's when Olivier really shows up
and is a player of world-class quality,
I think.
If you're asking me by the end
of the season
which team gets us the best chance
of winning MLS Cup,
it's with Olivier there.
Now the idea is how quickly
we can get him up to speed
so we can get the most out of him
in these big games coming up.
Hey, guys.
We win today?
Of course.
I trust this will not
come across as arrogant.
Since we have joined MLS,
we have done our part to deliver on
that promise
that we want to be the standard-bearer,
not just in our city
but for the league as a whole.
We were talking about something,
he was like,
"Well, I'll just have the guys
from MTV play it back."
I was like, "Excuse me?"
He's like, "Oh, yeah. No, we have it all."
LAFC have started laughing a little bit.
I think there is a lack of respect
for the Galaxy across town.
And look, I would want nothing more
than for LAFC to be the second best team
in MLS, right?
I think that's a great place
for them to be. As long as we're the best.
Welcome to one of the most
iconic sporting venues in the world,
where for a second straight year,
the battle for Los Angeles is on.
The El Tráfico, I think it's electric.
It is a full Rose Bowl.
We kinda lock heads
and take over the city.
Bogusz again.
Kamara!
Big man rises up!
Bouanga to double the lead.
He does!
Then it's over!
LAFC win this one two to one
at the Rose Bowl on July 4th.
The next these two teams play,
both teams are gonna look different.
You never like losing to a rival.
Or your old boss.
LAFC's having the best transfer window
at the moment, right?
It's important that we're
still looking to get better.
I'm hopeful that we'll have
some good options out there.
I think we've got a really good,
really deep group.
But as we get into the stretch run,
the games come pretty quick
on top of each other.
Injuries happen. Fatigue happens.
And I think the more deep we can be,
the better off we are.
- Yeah. Good.
- Good?
- I'm perfect.
- Excellent.
The expectation for 2024 is
we have to bounce back from 2023,
which was a really difficult season.
Last year, the worst year I have ever had.
The injuries hit us
as the year progressed.
Calegari is down.
And he's grabbing the back of his knee.
That's trouble.
They don't have a natural replacement.
Over the course of the season,
we've had a lot of guys
who've taken massive injuries.
And then we lost Riqui.
And that became the thing
that tipped us over the edge.
The guys that were
here last year… We suffered.
Good one touch, Martín.
This year, we had a couple injuries,
and those things start to mount.
Is he injured? What's wrong with him?
I don't know,
he said he felt something here.
In the hamstring.
Everyone leaves and no one comes.
What a mess.
Nobody, at this point, is feeling 100%.
Everybody is feeling something every day.
But, you know, we can't slip.
Yeah.
- Four, five!
- Good, good.
There you go.
We are looking at our roster
and trying to figure out
what moves might make the difference
down the stretch.
I think that's important.
It's imperative really.
He just took off. Here we go!
With a player like Marco Reus,
he can help make us more competitive
for that playoff stretch.
But they're gonna have options.
It's gonna be contentious.
Let's dive into some Apple News story.
Real Salt Lake has permanently transferred
young attacking talent Andrés Gómez,
effective immediately.
Colorado star Moïse Bombito
is linked with a move over to Lyon.
MLS operates in a global transfer market.
That means you can buy players
from anywhere in the world,
and there are gonna be teams
from all over the world
looking to buy your players.
And the stakes are just really high.
There's huge amounts of pressure
to get it right.
Like, can you get the most out
of this moment?
Because if you don't, if you fail,
it's really hard to climb
out of that hole.
- Good morning.
- Good morning, good morning.
- Welcome.
- Thank you. Thanks a lot.
- Stamford Bridge, please. Thank you.
- Okay. Thank you.
Everything happens in London.
Especially during the transfer window.
It's kind of an epicenter
of the soccer meetings.
And, let's face it, some of the best
players in the world are playing here,
so if you really wanna, kind of,
get the talent, you have to be around.
All the agents, all the big clubs,
all the big moves are in London.
We're looking for Marco
to be our big star.
We need to do it. It's not like
we want to do it. We need to do it.
- Hey, Mariela. How are you?
- How are you?
Every sporting director
wants to kind of be better than the other,
trying to outsmart him,
and trying to get the deal done.
Hello.
In an ideal world,
you wanna be a win-win situation.
But in this world,
there is no win-win situation.
There's always someone winning
and someone losing.
Hey, Z. You okay?
Yeah, I'm good. How are you?
Yeah, good. Ta, mate. How was the journey?
It's good. It's good.
I set up the meeting
with Marco Reus's agent, Dirk.
He's in London.
I'm meeting him tomorrow as well.
So we'll go through
a few things about Marco.
- Yeah.
- So, we'll see what the agent says.
As you know, we have a battle
with a few other clubs in MLS,
so it'll be interesting
to see what happens.
Yeah, I know. It would be, definitely.
Lucrative contracts. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The thing is, it's gonna be
about lifestyle for him, isn't it?
Let's see what happens.
Let's see how that goes.
Well, keep the plates spinning.
That's the big thing, isn't it?
We'll see. We'll get it.
We'll get the striker.
We'll get the striker we want.
All right. Cheers, Z.
There is big pressure
on the GM to bring the targets in.
The dream is to go and bring
that high-level, big-name player
that just grabs the attention
of everybody.
A bit like what Messi has done with Miami.
My drive and ambitions at this club
is to see this stadium full,
every game we play.
It fucking sucks that we lost,
but we had chances.
We need results right now.
Playoffs is knocking at our door.
Year three, we should at least
have a system and a core.
To do that you have to go and win things.
You have to be successful,
but you have to bring the right people in,
as well, to do that.
The transfer window
can bring a lot of uncertainty.
As a player,
a lot of it's out of your hands.
We're the last to find out.
We find out when the player's
arriving through the door.
It can affect the mood around the camp.
Let's go, then. Yes!
Hurry, hurry. And again.
He's passed to you.
First time finish.
We've got some players here now,
they know they could lose their jobs.
So it's stressful.
It's a stressful period.
Some really good runs,
but when you don't get the ball,
don't throw your arms up.
- Me, every time, run around…
- I know.
- …no pass.
- But don't throw your arms up.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
It's very distracting.
You start losing concentration
of your own game
and worrying about what's gonna happen.
Jere, here.
Hit it.
Okay, okay. Get up. Behind!
Yes, George, send that in.
Safe.
I was almost ten years
in the Premier League,
and I've not come here
to be on the journey out.
I've come here to win something.
Get it, Adi! Oh, Adi.
But I do think we need a few more pieces
to the puzzle.
That's down to Zoran to do his job.
Fuck me.
You want these young men to be hungry
for success, hungry for money.
Nothing wrong with that.
But they're going to get it
if they deserve that.
You deserve, you get a new contract.
You don't, you leave the club.
In that respect, I think I'm ruthless.
You know them all, don't you?
You can name all the states?
- Fifty nifty. Nifty fifty.
- Nifty fifty.
- Fifty nifty.
- Is it the Fifty Nifty?
Yeah. Everyone knows it in school.
I don't know it.
For me, coming here,
I didn't even know where Charlotte was,
I'll be honest.
Didn't have a clue where it was.
I've played nearly 300 games
in the Premier League.
I love the American culture,
but being from Europe,
you only look at New York, Miami, LA.
I spoke to Zoran.
There was a pitch. He was…
Zoran was phenomenal.
What a save!
Yes!
I'll openly admit, I've got people asking,
"Would you come back?"
And for me, it's not a question. No.
That's the athlete right there.
I want to help build a history
with this football club,
and this year
it's about going to the playoffs.
We've got a chance here.
We're a good team.
I wanted to come here and leave a legacy,
that was my biggest thing, and hopefully
take this club to the next level.
It's about making a run
towards the back end of the season.
Hitting form at the right time.
- Yum.
- Thank you.
You're welcome.
And we're very close to it.
Marco Reus is our target.
I'm meeting with the agent.
I'm trying to persuade the agent and Marco
to kind of take Charlotte
as a final destination.
Dirk, finally…
- How are you doing?
- …we meet. Very good. How are you?
Yeah, I'm very good.
The thing with agents, you let them talk.
Sometimes you find out
that the most important thing
for the agent is not the player.
It might be the agent himself.
So you need to let the agent talk first.
I'm looking after Marco Reus, as you know.
Yeah, of course.
Marco is, you know,
one of my longest clients.
I think the profile of Marco
and his level of player and quality
coming to Major League Soccer
would be another milestone for the league,
after Messi, Busquets, Alba…
those kinds of guys.
The bottom line,
he would be a perfect fit for us
because we need another marquee player.
We have a marquee coach.
We have, this year,
the best defensive unit.
What we need is a striker and a number 10.
It's a great moment for the club
if we can bring him.
I think he would be
the best player in the league.
I think he would help us win.
How much?
But for that to happen,
you make a serious, competitive…
very competitive offer.
Okay. Very interesting.
I think the MLS
has a good chance with Marco.
I really love the conversation.
I hope we can start a relationship
for the future.
Thank you very much for your time.
Thank you. Thanks for coming.
Thanks for the time.
I came here to make this club
one of the powerhouses,
and all I want to do is make sure
that they trust in me.
I will win trophies.
Hi. I'll get an espresso, please.
LA is a great experience of life.
You feel like holiday every single day,
you know?
But I'm not there on vacation.
Me, I'm there to compete and to win.
It was a great opportunity to come over
and get to know the challenge here in MLS.
Wait. Giroud!
- Oh, my God! What the fuck?
- Hi.
Can we take a picture?
- Yes. Sure.
- Can we take a picture?
- Can I take a selfie?
- Yeah.
When I walk on the street,
and people recognize me straightaway…
- Yes, please. Thank you so much.
- Let's do it.
…Yeah, you feel the love,
you feel the passion.
And that's what I need,
that's what I want in football.
- Piccy?
- Yes. Like, piccy.
I love the life in LA, the club.
I'm happy.
I think we made the best decision.
Tell you what, guys, if we could add
Marco Reus to this team, we'd be…
We're pretty good.
There he is! Yes, love that pass.
I think Marco is unique, right?
Yeah, his combination
of experience, his leadership.
Only a few months ago he played
in the Champions League final.
Also, probably helps take some
of the pressure off of Riqui too.
I don't know if Riqui's looking
to have less spotlight, but that'd be…
- Yeah, champagne problems.
- Yeah.
Champagne problems.
Marco's a priority for us
because he fits really specific ideals
you can only get by being
a really experienced senior player
at the World Cup games,
the international games,
the Champions League final.
With all due respect
to the rest of our guys,
nobody has that on their résumé.
He'd be great.
Is that a real possibility?
What did he say?
About what you'd expect.
Very, very agent-y.
I don't know, man. We'll see.
If he's still talking to us,
I think we're in the game.
- That's great.
- Yeah.
We knew that getting Marco
at the numbers that we were talking about
was going to raise a lot of eyebrows.
None the least of which in Charlotte.
Charlotte told me
that they were interested
and Zoran was like,
"No, we're not gonna let him go,"
you know, sort of, "over my dead body."
He started with a price
that was absolutely exorbitant.
I don't think we can afford him,
but I'm hopeful that we can get there
in the end.
I think, you know, you never wanna be
too fixated on one player
because that can lead you
into some bad scenarios,
and you never wanna let your internal
competitiveness get the best of you
'cause that can also lead you
down a path that's no good.
But if you have the chance
to add somebody like Marco Reus,
yeah, you have to take advantage of it.
Just get to a juicy one, Tom.
Marco Reus, Major League Soccer.
Anything for us here?
Yeah.
It's believed that if Marco Reus
was gonna take a bigger payday,
that would come in the Middle East.
There's been links
with Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
He's also got some links with
Turkish clubs and Europe.
If he was going to do that,
he would've done that already.
I think we deserve a drink, you and I now.
- Well, we've had a long day.
- A long day.
- Incredible long day.
- Yeah.
What we need is a goal scorer.
One hundred percent agree. Yes, good.
- Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund.
- Yeah.
German international, German legend.
Yeah, of course you know him.
We made an amazing offer for him.
We talked to his agent.
Thank you. Thanks a lot. Thank you.
- Steve.
- Cheers. Here's to success…
- Yeah, success.
- …after another busy day.
Yeah, very busy day. Today was crazy.
Hold on a second.
Interesting.
It's, LA Galaxy general manager.
We have a little… We have a dispute,
so he's calling me.
Hello. How's it going?
Hey, how are you?
- Good. How are you?
- Yeah. Good.
You're in London?
Yeah, I'm in London, yeah.
Just finished a couple of meetings.
I don't know if you saw,
I sent you a note yesterday.
Will called me.
They tried to persuade Marco Reus
to come to Los Angeles.
I think this player is way more worth
than that.
He was very clear
that Marco has made his mind.
He's not particularly interested
and keen in joining Charlotte.
A disappointment.
Very, very big fish eats small fish.
…really just to try
and figure something out.
Yeah.
He opts to go to Galaxy
for way less money than we offered.
I think this is…
You're getting a marquee player.
You're getting an incredible player.
But I'm not happy that he's not going
to play for Charlotte FC.
That's good timing.
- What was that for?
- LA Galaxy came up behind us.
They basically changed the player's mind.
But I think it's a-- It was very simple.
He wants to go to LA. He wanted
to probably mingle with the stars.
So, nothing we can do about it.
Nothing. We just move on.
So you did offer him more money?
Absolutely.
- My man.
- Finally.
- How you been? I'm good.
- How are you?
- Flight okay?
- Yeah.
Yeah? Long.
- Well, 11 hours.
- That's all right.
- Welcome. First time in the US, huh?
- Yeah.
I don't see this as a shade to Charlotte,
but, like, he didn't want to be
in Charlotte, right?
He wanted to be with the Galaxy.
Zoran, as I understand it,
is not super pleased about it,
but it's a crazy business, you know?
You're always kinda standing on quicksand.
Leave this like that.
Sign here.
Fucking about time. About fucking time.
Ready. One, two.
To come over to a different country,
everything is completely new for us,
for my family, for my kids.
So now we're going to walk down
to the field.
- And we'll film your announcement video.
- Okay. Okay.
Here you combine good club
with a good city, good weather.
It makes it even easier for us.
- How are you? Great to see you.
- Good. Great to see you too.
- I'm excited.
- Yeah, me too.
If you need anything from me,
you let me know.
- Thank you. Appreciate it.
- All right? Great to see you.
- Welcome.
- Thank you.
Marco has been, you know,
in Germany his whole life
and really at basically one club
for the last 10 or 12 years.
So it is a big next step.
But it's also something
we're really proud about.
That he's taking this leap with us.
The most important thing is that we have
players who win games, right?
And the rest kinda takes care of itself.
With the secondary transfer window
now closed,
who lost the summer transfer window?
Charlotte. Left at the altar a little bit.
Biggest transfer window winner?
LA Galaxy.
Marco Reus is going to elevate
an already incredible attack
to previously unforeseen levels.
I want to say it's frustrating,
'cause if we want to go and win
Supporters' Shield and win MLS Cup,
you need good players.
And Marco Reus was kind of
that kind of level player.
We made all the right moves,
and we were not particularly happy
about some other approaches
by some other clubs.
This is the world we are in, and this is
what happens around the transfer market.
Too many sharks. It's tough.
Newly signed
US Men's National Team defender
and former Prem player
Tim Ream returns to America.
He will be suiting up for Charlotte FC.
Tim Ream, he brings ponytail.
You know, we don't have anybody
with ponytail from what I remember.
Yes, Bill, tight. Bill, tight.
Westy, stay.
He's a fantastic player.
He's going to strengthen the back line.
Okay. It's okay. Clean it up!
We always wanted to have a left-footed
central defender, and now we got it.
We are not the finalized wolf pack,
but these players don't fear anybody.
And I hope we play Galaxy in the final.
So Charlotte went
into this transfer window,
they said, "Hey, we need an attacker."
They got a defender.
And honestly,
that's the transfer window for you.
