Sanctuary s04e07 Episode Script

Icebreaker

[wind howling.]
[wind howling.]
[Henry.]
: Okay, seriously, guys! I already can't feel my toes! [Declan.]
: We have to get inside! This wind's going to kill us! [Declan.]
: Give it a try.
[Henry.]
: No, not going to happen.
[Declan.]
: AIistair! Could you two just [Henry.]
: What, HAP? In this? Dude, I need these clothes! [AIistair.]
: Maybe just halfway.
With both of us.
[Henry.]
: Yeah? AII right.
[yelps at cold.]
[AIistair.]
: You ready? [Henry.]
: Yeah.
[Henry.]
: Seriously! What the hell was that? One minute it's a nice Ieisurely skidoo ride to an abandoned icebreaker, The next it's minus 50 and a Dr.
Zhivago snowstorm.
[Murray.]
: This is the Barents Sea, Henry.
We're only about 700 miles from the North Pole.
[Henry.]
: Oh, I see.
Does that mean the weather doesn't have to follow the rules? [Terry.]
: We knew the storm was coming.
It just took us Ionger to get here than we'd planned.
[Declan.]
: We hunker down and get as much exploring done as we can until Magnus' plane gets here.
[Henry.]
: In this weather? She's not going to be able to Ieave the ground till tomorrow.
[Declan.]
: Well, then we'II make do with what's here.
[Henry.]
: AII right, well, dibs on the first Tauntaun we find.
[Murray.]
: Well, this isn't so bad, and it's far more intact than it Iooked in the satellite photos.
[Henry.]
: Hey, Murray, how's your Russian? [Murray.]
: Boatswain's Iocker.
[Henry.]
: Whoa.
Dead guy.
[Murray.]
: We've got something.
[Declan.]
: Gunshot wound, close range.
[Henry.]
: Possibly self inflicted.
VIPER G-17.
[Murray.]
: The Iatest and greatest close combat rifle on the market.
[AIistair.]
: What's that kind of weapon doing here? I'm guessing our Russian smugglers were moving something more than just abnormals.
Wow.
Or they were expecting some serious trouble.
[Declan.]
: Let's check out the rest of the ship.
[Henry.]
: Yeah.
[Murray.]
: The bridge should be just up there.
[AIistair.]
: You okay? [Terry.]
: It's not my first dead body, it's just [AIistair.]
: More raw than in the Sanctuary Iabs? I certainly haven't gotten used to it.
[Terry.]
: I don't want you to, AIistair.
That's not why you joined us.
[Declan.]
: Ready? [door creaks open, cocking weapons.]
[Murray.]
: More bodies in here.
[Declan.]
: My God [Henry.]
: This explains why the ship ran aground.
[Declan.]
: Multiple gunshot wounds.
Single bullet here.
Ditto.
Same here.
[Murray.]
: From the pattern of the body falls, I'd say this was a Mexican standoff that ended badly.
[Henry.]
: They killed each other? It Iooks Iike it.
[Murray.]
: My intel says there was a skeleton crew of ten.
They were traveling Iight, just enough to keep this tug moving through the ice 'round the clock.
Nine bodies in a Tarantino dance party, one downstairs in a Iocker.
Yeah, it Iooks Iike he might have killed himself as well.
So, what's the punchline? [Declan.]
: Russian smugglers put a container full of Hollow Earth abnormals [Henry.]
: And a few crates of guns.
[Declan.]
: And a few crates of guns on board an old icebreaker approximately two months ago.
They head out to sea from the Ostrovnoy port? [Murray.]
: Yeah.
Our Sanctuary picks up a Iead on the buyer, we're all set to take them down, but then the ship never turns up.
I tracked every possible route given the original bearings, but there's no sign of it, anywhere.
[Henry.]
: Because why? They fell asleep at the wheel, they crashed the ship, and they're so mad at each other they kill themselves? There's got to be more to it.
What about the abnormals? Right.
Terry, why don't you come with me? We'II go see what's in the cargo hold.
Henry, you and Murray head down below decks, see what state the generators and boiler are in.
AIistair, see if you can get a radio working that will punch through the storm to update Magnus.
I think we're going to be here for some time.
We knew this wasn't going to be a rescue mission.
[Terry.]
: I know, but when those Hollow Earth abnormals asked us for help, I thought we'd won a small victory.
Then these guys grabbed them.
[Declan.]
: Yeah.
[Terry.]
: There it is.
[Terry.]
: Oh, my God.
[.]
[Terry.]
: No evidence of gunfire.
This was a tooth and claw massacre.
It Iooks Iike they turned on each other.
[Henry.]
: What, when they finally ran out of food? [Terry.]
: Most of these boxes are rations.
There's evidence of a fight, but it was short-Iived.
[Henry.]
: So these guys tore each other apart while the crew was in a gunfight up on the bridge.
Any Iuck with the radios? I managed to get the power up, but there's no signal in or out.
I'm sure the antenna have all been crushed by the weight of the ice.
[Henry.]
: We can rig something up for short range, but there's no way it's going to penetrate this storm.
No.
And what about Iight and heat? The main generators run off the engines, but those were badly bruised when this tub rammed its face into the rocks.
We should be able to run an auxiliary without too much trouble, though.
Yeah, there's still a bit of fuel Ieft in the tanks, so I should be able to get one of the boilers going.
Now, everything's shifted off its mounts, but I'm hoping that doesn't prove to be too much of a threat.
[Declan.]
: AII right.
You give her a hand with forensics in here.
I'II see what I can figure out on the bridge.
[Henry.]
: I have a bad feeling about this.
[Declan.]
: It may just turn out to be a huge gravesite.
We'II figure out what we can here for Magnus and get out.
[Henry.]
: Back in the snow? That's not making me feel any happier.
[Declan.]
: Steady on, mate.
[Murray.]
: I could understand how human beings could do it.
I spent eight years in the SAS before I Ieft to work with Declan.
The things I've seen men do to each other I prefer to work with abnormals.
[Henry.]
: And this group knew each other.
I mean, they came up from Hollow Earth together, they survived on the surface together.
Why would they suddenly turn on one another? [Murray.]
: Maybe it was something viral, something in the water or in the air.
You know, Magnus was infected with this thing once.
It started with a whole pod of Mermaids trying to tear themselves apart.
She went down to figure out what happened, and then when the thing got a hold of her, it made her want to kill Will.
Which, you know, I kind of understand.
I've felt Iike that myself a few times, but never because of the water.
[Murray.]
: Could that be what we are up against here? [Henry.]
: Well, that was underwater.
It had a Iot to do with atmospherics and pressure changes.
I don't think that thing could survive in this environment.
[Murray.]
: Yeah, well, if we don't get this working, I'm not sure how much Ionger we can survive in this environment.
Yeah [shutter clicks.]
all the Hollow Earth abnormals that contacted you.
[she sighs nervously.]
What are we supposed to do now, AIistair? I'm cold and I'm frightened.
We should sink this ship and call the mission.
No, I'm afraid we're stuck here until the storm Iets up, my Iove.
And there's the mystery of what happened here.
Aren't you curious? I'm a xenobiologist.
It's my job to be curious.
But in the face of this kind of brutality, I'm afraid I've Iost my taste for it.
[AIistair.]
: Oh, come here.
It'II all be okay.
Suck it, Tesla.
Let there be Iight! [electricity crackles.]
[power surges.]
[Iaughs in triumph.]
[Murray.]
: I am the god of hellfire.
[strikes match.]
SIight gas build-up.
[Henry.]
: Sealed room, two months of Ieakage.
They don't teach you that in Special Soldier school? Instant heat, almost electricity.
This icebreaker is practically back in service.
[circuits sparking.]
[Declan.]
: Nine guys, nine guns all pointing at one another.
[Henry.]
: The math alone is enough to kill you.
[AIistair over walkie.]
: All finished down here.
Just closing up the doors unless there's something else you need.
[crashing outside.]
[cocking weapons.]
Gentlemen.
Magnus? [Henry.]
: How the hell did you get here? [Will groaning.]
I am never, ever flying with her again! You know what I think? I think she took flying Iessons from Yoda in her time off! The dials are all going Iike this, she's got her eyes closed.
She's got this whole Force thing going on! [Declan.]
: And none of the ice pilots from Longyear were prepared to go out in this, then? I practically had to buy the plane to get the keys out of their hands.
[Will.]
: The tower never gave us clearance to take off, and we almost crashed, twice! The entire crew? [Declan.]
: Yeah, apart from one.
You probably passed him on your way up.
[Murray.]
: AII of them died of close-range gunshot wounds.
[Will.]
: They killed each other? [Henry.]
: The one downstairs killed himself.
And the abnormals? They're all dead, Dr.
Magnus.
They tore each other apart.
I'm so sorry.
[AIistair.]
: How did you two get here? [Henry.]
: Ah, badass pilot.
Not-so-badass passenger, probably screamed Iike a Iittle girl the whole way.
[Will.]
: No.
Not the whole way.
[Murray.]
: I've flown in all kinds of weather, Magnus, and I'd never think of going out in this.
I'm amazed the plane's still intact.
Oh, there's a strut that needs replacing before she'II fly again.
Was there any indication that the abnormals had anything to do with what happened here? Doubtful.
The door to the cargo hold was Iocked from the outside.
AII 31 of them were in there when they died.
Well, that accounts for the Hollow Earth abnormals, but wasn't there some rumor of something more on board? [Henry.]
: They might have been running guns as well.
We found a few crates of military-grade weapons down below.
Didn't these guys have access to some of the Priority Red List abnormals before the Hollow Earthers came along? Yeah, that's what put them on our radar in the first place.
[Declan.]
: They were rumors we couldn't substantiate.
AII right, we've got two sets of bodies in two rooms, and no culprit.
I think it would be prudent to search the entire ship, yes? [Declan.]
: Agreed.
Two teams.
I'II take you, Terry, and Henry below decks.
Murray, take Will and AIistair.
Start topside and work your way down.
Priority Red Listers? Very bad monsters would explain the need for the guns downstairs.
[Magnus.]
: Dear Lord.
Shine your Iight along the side.
They are all identical.
Henry, the thermal scanner.
[scanner pinging.]
Doc, what are they? I have no idea, but they're definitely alive.
[Henry.]
: If we don't know what they are, I don't think we should move them.
[Magnus.]
: Well, we won't be able to figure out what they are until we do, Henry.
[Terry.]
: The uniformity of the ice blocks would suggest that they might be in some sort of hibernation nest.
Yeah, but were they hibernating before or after the showdown on the bridge? Ah, this will do.
We'II set up here.
The way this ship is heating up, they won't stay frozen for Iong.
[Henry.]
: Well, maybe we should shut down the boiler.
Get it cold in here again.
We can't forget, it's '"Priority Red List'" here.
We could just Ieave them out onto the deck.
It's not going to get any warmer out there.
Yeah, unless moving them at all hits their internal '"wake up and kill'" switch.
There's nothing to suggest that these creatures had anything to do with the slaughter, Henry.
I say we bring one up and partially thaw it.
At Ieast far enough to get a biopsy.
I have enough equipment here that Dr.
Magnus and I can figure out what we're dealing with.
[Magnus.]
: I'm not convinced that thawing them here is the best idea.
[Will.]
: You know, once the storm passes, you could '"Crazy-FIy'" them back to the Moscow Sanctuary.
I won't be joining you.
I'II be taking a snowmobile home.
[Terry.]
: But moving them into a populated area before we know what they are? [Will.]
: Yeah, it's risky.
[Magnus.]
: I agree.
AII right, we'II bring one up, do a controlled thaw.
We'II work with what we have.
[crashing.]
[cocking weapons.]
Will and Henry are headed to the hold to cut down one of the blocks of ice.
AIistair, can you assist? [AIistair.]
: Sure.
[Magnus.]
: We're going to try thawing one of them out.
Not enough to get us into trouble, just enough to figure out what we're up against.
[Declan.]
: Good idea.
We haven't found any more, but there's still the keel hold to check.
And it's a Iittle easier to move now that there's some heat down here, but I'm wondering if we should dial back the runaway boiler a bit.
We don't want to thaw ourselves into a Red Iist situation.
[Murray.]
: I'm on it.
We've set up a temporary examination room in the research Iab.
We'II call that home base for now.
I'II finish the sweep and meet you back there, then.
Right.
[scanner warbling.]
[Terry.]
: It Iooks so frail.
[Magnus.]
: Certainly not the kind of thing that could cause this kind of carnage.
AII right, keep the Iamps set at Iow.
Apply the heat packs in a single Iine along the top.
Rotate them every six minutes.
Henry, be ready.
BIoody hell.
[Declan.]
: Magnus, Will, I'm in the keel.
I've found another nest a bigger one.
[deep rumbling.]
That came from below.
[Henry.]
: The boiler.
[Magnus.]
: Keep working! [Henry.]
: Will? Murray? Declan? [Declan.]
: Murray's in the boiler room! [Magnus.]
: I sent Will down there to help him out! [Will coughs.]
I got Declan's call about the other nest, so I made a move for the door, but Murray was still there.
He was working on a gas Iine.
[Magnus.]
: Dear Iord.
[Will coughing and spluttering.]
[Declan.]
: We have to shut this bloody thing down! [flicking switches.]
[Henry.]
: Yeah, I have seen a Iot of things come back to Iife, frozen, drowned, swallowed, electrocuted, which happened to me once, down in Hollow Earth.
You guys probably read that report, huh? Yeah, we were done, man, we were completely flatlined.
The next thing you know, we're reanimated, and we're drinking diaper-flavored milkshakes to stop from becoming zombies.
[he chuckles.]
I know, it's completely unbelievable, right? The point is, guys, I'm not a zombie.
[Terry.]
: Henry, turn that Iamp off.
Help me get these heat bags off.
[Henry.]
: Why, what did you see? [Terry.]
: AIistair, get Dr.
Magnus now.
[Declan.]
: The whole boiler assembly had come off its mountings.
It was Iike [Will.]
: There's really nothing that could have been done.
[Declan.]
: It Iooks Iike the guy didn't stand a chance.
[Magnus.]
: I didn't think you'd be able to get an autopsy until the body had thawed out more.
[Terry.]
: Was I right? [Magnus.]
: They're Migoi.
[Will.]
: What? [Declan.]
: Wait, Migoi? As in Hindu Kush Migoi? The one in the crashed plane that almost killed you and Will three years ago? That type of Migoi? [Henry.]
: As in '"killed by your own nightmares'" Migoi? [Magnus.]
: You've all read our report, so you know what we're up against.
A creature so frail it can only mount a mental attack as a defense.
When it felt threatened, it read our minds and turned us all against one another.
Yeah, we had no idea it was happening until people started dying.
It can assume any form and make everyone in the room see the same thing.
That explains why the crew turned on itself.
[Terry.]
: And the abnormals.
Do you think it tricked him into blowing himself up? I was within sight of him the entire time, right up to the explosion.
It was definitely an accident.
[AIistair.]
: Dr.
Magnus, there was only one of those creatures on the plane with you, wasn't there? And now we're surrounded by nests of them.
[Declan.]
: Right, Iet's not overreact.
They're all still frozen.
We pack this one back on ice, and we're in business.
I noticed something weird about the ice It's fresh water.
The entire block.
Not a trace of salt.
Does it have something to do with their metabolism? [Magnus.]
: Exposure to salt water hyperaccelerates their system.
It makes them too powerful to handle.
It supercharges them? [Will.]
: Great! That-that's great.
[Henry.]
: Every inch of ice around here has salt in it.
[deep rumbling.]
Oh, come on! [Declan.]
: The boiler explosion must have breached the damaged hulls.
[Henry.]
: This room will fill in Iess than an hour.
[AIistair.]
: The passageway, half an hour after that.
[Will.]
: The stern hold's filling, too.
[AIistair.]
: Can't we Ieave? Do a proper salvage with more people? [Magnus.]
: Even if we made it through the storm, we'd be Ieaving a time bomb behind.
If those nests even touch the salt water, this ship will become a breeding ground for a Migoi army.
We can't go anywhere.
[Magnus.]
: Henry, whatever tools you have.
Will, rope, and something to skid the blocks on.
Terry and I will move our partially thawed friend.
[Henry.]
: Oh, Doc Guns! [Henry.]
: It was frozen, right? [Terry.]
: There's no way it could have thawed far enough for it to get out on its own.
Does that mean there's more than one? [Will.]
: That's its way of getting into our heads.
It could be making us think it's free, when it's still thawing there on the table.
[Henry.]
: You guys seeing what I'm seeing? [Magnus.]
: Henry, radio Declan and AIistair and have them rejoin us immediately.
Tell them not to Iose sight of each other on the way up.
This doesn't change our plan.
It just makes it more dangerous.
[Will.]
: It's important we keep eyes open and on each other at all times.
When you're alone, you can't trust anything you see, hear, or feel.
The Iess we use our eyes, the more we see.
They're on their way.
Doc, they weren't together when I called.
Declan was in the hold, AIistair was on his way with the first ice block.
Damn.
[cocking weapons.]
Whoa Easy, it's me.
It's me.
M-Me too.
It's impossible to tell who's real and who's not.
It's Iike the blood test on the plane.
They can make us see whatever they want.
[Magnus.]
: We've Iearned a few things since our initial encounter on the mountain.
The Migoi react very badly when they feel threatened.
That's when they try to defend themselves.
And by '"badly,'" you mean by making us try to kill each other.
[Terry.]
: So we don't threaten them, and they Ieave us alone? That's hard to do in close quarters.
[Magnus.]
: Well, until this storm subsides or we're completely overwhelmed with water, we need to keep moving the Migoi up onto the deck.
I'II take Declan down to the stern hold.
Will, AIistair, you take the keel.
Henry, Terry, move the blocks of ice as we cut them topside.
Remember, it's the Iittle things that will give them away.
[AIistair.]
: How do you think these Migoi got here? I don't know.
The Russians must have either bought them or captured them.
[AIistair.]
: No, I mean in here, frozen, Iike.
These ice blocks Iook really uniform.
[yelps in shock.]
Aw, cripes, it's cold.
I can't imagine it's a trick of their physiology to be able to flash-freeze themselves into ice cubes, and with fresh water, no Iess.
[Will.]
: The smugglers must have put them on ice somewhere else, and this is how they were transporting them.
It seems a safe way to move something that can get inside your mind.
Yeah, but then who killed everyone on board? If the crew killed each other, maybe one of them got free? No, I think we should get out of here-- AIistair, we're going to be fine, okay? [Declan.]
: Maybe we should have a plan B! [Magnus.]
: The Migoi are extremely rare.
This could be the Iast of their kind.
We need to move as many as-- [Henry, over walkie.]
: Magnus! Oh, my God [AIistair, walkie crackling.]
: We're up on-- It's Terry! [Declan.]
: Henry! Terry, AIistair! [Henry.]
: You killed her, you bastard! [AIistair.]
: How could you do that? My god, how could you do it? [Will.]
: Put the guns down! Both of you! [AIistair.]
: He killed her! I saw him do it! [Henry.]
: I was at the stairs! I turned around and he was changing back! He tore her apart, Doc! [Magnus.]
: Put your guns down, now! [Declan.]
: Put them down, both of you! [Henry.]
: You were coming up on deck.
She said she'd figured something out! You were just going over there to talk! [AIistair.]
: You're a bloody Iiar! I came up here, and she was already down in the snow! You turned into the beast and killed her! [Henry.]
: No! [shouting angrily.]
[Magnus.]
: Get them inside now! [shouting and struggling.]
[Henry.]
: Son of a-- [Declan.]
: Calm down! [AIistair.]
: Terry [Declan.]
: Just get inside.
[AIistair.]
: Terry! [banging on door.]
[Magnus.]
: She was definitely killed by a HAP.
It could be either one of them.
[banging and shouting.]
[AIistair.]
: Let me out! [Declan.]
: You're putting them in the same room? What would you have me do? It's true one of them could be a Migoi, or they could just be under the influence of one.
Remember the Migoi's tactic on the plane was to separate us.
They're not strong enough to attack two people at once.
[Will.]
: Henry can take care of himself.
So can AIistair.
[Henry.]
: Magnus! Let me out of this room right now! [Magnus.]
: We're running out of time.
[pounding and roaring.]
[Henry.]
: Why? [rushing water.]
[Declan.]
: No, no, no! Magnus! [Will.]
: AIistair! [Magnus.]
: Henry! [Henry.]
: I tried talking to him, asking him how he could just kill her Iike that.
He didn't answer.
[Magnus.]
: Henry He had me, Doc, he had me by the throat.
I couldn't breathe.
I started slashing away at anything I could, and then it was over.
No AIistair, no HAP.
Just this Iittle guy bleeding on the ground.
[Declan.]
: He hasn't got a scratch on him.
[Magnus.]
: That's because none of it was real.
It had you killing yourself, Henry.
[Henry.]
: It was so real.
We found AIistair's body in the keel.
[metal groaning and creaking.]
[Magnus.]
: We have Iess than 30 minutes until that water reaches the Iowest of the ice blocks in the keel hold.
There are seven more to move.
[Magnus.]
: Right.
We'II get them topside away from the immediate threat of the salt water.
We'II move them to the plane before the ship goes down.
And what about our dead? I've Iost three of my team here today, Magnus.
There will be time to grieve once the threat has been minimized.
[Henry.]
: I'd Iike to see AIistair.
[groaning with effort.]
[Henry.]
: They were going to get married, you know? He spent his whole Iife Iocked up in an institution, and finally gets out to see what the world has to offer.
Aw, man [Will.]
: You think it's your fault that AIistair died? Because you told him to join the London Sanctuary? [Henry.]
: I did it because I was selfish, Will.
I just wanted somebody with my skill set on the other end of the Iine.
[Will.]
: Come on [Will.]
: Aw, my radio-- [Henry.]
: No, don't.
Stay dry.
There's no reason for both of us to freeze to death in here.
[shuddering.]
[Will.]
: Without you, AIistair would have been stuck in that institution for his entire Iife.
You showed him that turning into a wolf and howling at the moon was the coolest thing ever.
[Henry.]
: Yeah, you know we don't do that, Will.
[Will.]
: You gave him a gift.
You gave him the ability to Iive a Iife of his own choosing, and he chose to join that Sanctuary.
If I have a boy, I'm going to name him AIistair, Will.
William AIistair Henry Foss, son of two HAPs.
Nobody would ever make fun of him for that.
[Henry chuckles.]
[wind howling.]
[Declan.]
: Well, that's our Iot.
I'II go and help Will and Henry.
[Magnus.]
: I'II see what I can do about preparing Terry's body for transport.
[Declan.]
: Thanks, Magnus.
Let's get this done! [Declan.]
: What were you doing back there, mate? BIoody hell.
[Henry.]
: Seriously? [Magnus.]
: It appears we have another thawed Migoi on our hands.
[Declan.]
: This is Iarger than a single block.
Maybe it's more than one.
[Will.]
: Or one very big one.
[Declan.]
: Do you still think Murray was killed by accident? [Will.]
: I don't know what I think anymore.
I mean, I know what I saw, but that doesn't seem to matter with the Migoi, so-- [metal creaking and groaning.]
This ship isn't going to stay afloat much Ionger.
How many more are still to move? Four.
[Henry.]
: They're off the wall.
They just have to be moved to the deck.
AII right, Declan, you go with Henry, move them up as quickly as you can.
Once they're clear, move AIistair's body.
Will and I will take Murray up right now and start moving the Migoi off the ship.
[Declan.]
: Aren't we better staying together, considering that-- Our best bet is to move the remaining ice blocks first.
Once they're clear of the salt water, we can deal with our friend here.
We won't Ieave until we track him down.
I don't fancy getting on another plane with a Ioose Migoi.
[scoffs.]
Seconded.
[Magnus.]
: No one Ioses sight of their partner.
If you are approached by any one of us individually, shoot to kill without engaging.
I'm tired of Iosing our people.
[gasping from the cold.]
[Henry.]
: I'm frozen, on a sinking ship full of dead people, taking the body of my friend out into a snowstorm, and I don't know if the guy standing next to me wants to kill me or not! [Declan.]
: No offense, mate, but I'm in exactly the same position, except the guy standing next to me that might want to kill me is a werewolf! [Henry.]
: What? How can you say that? I just killed one of them! [Declan.]
: I'm standing up to my chest in salt water! [Henry.]
: What is your point? [Declan.]
: Well, I'm just saying there doesn't seem to be anything supercharged about either one of us.
[Henry.]
: Okay, so it's neither of us, then.
-Will! -Will! [Henry.]
: Will! No! [struggling with the door.]
[Declan.]
: Magnus! Will just Iocked us in the hold! [Henry.]
: She was with him.
[Declan.]
: Magnus! [Henry.]
: Do you think he got her already? [roaring with effort.]
I don't get it! If we're the Iast ones Ieft, why not just kill us? You don't think this is going to kill us? If we don't freeze to death, we're going to be underwater in about 15 minutes.
Well, can't you just HAP? Through a steel door? I'm a werewolf, not Superman.
We need stunners to blast through that.
Which are in the hallway with our warm, dry clothes.
[Declan.]
: Wait a second.
What do you see when you Iook at my hand? I see your hand on the wheel that we can't turn.
So what's that? [Henry.]
: Uh [Declan.]
: I blew this door open when I came in here.
It's insane! They trick you into dying in a room you can walk out of.
[Henry.]
: It's insanely scary.
[Declan.]
: Magnus! [Henry.]
: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Doc, it's us! [Henry.]
: How do we know it's her? [Magnus.]
: I've been trying to raise you on the radio.
Will's missing! [Declan.]
: He found us and he Iocked us in the hold! It's not him, Magnus! [Henry.]
: He pulled a Jedi mind-trick on us, Doc.
He made us think the door was Iocked and Ieft us to die in the water.
[Magnus.]
: We should never have split up.
We need to find the real Will.
[Declan.]
: And the Migoi.
It's too dangerous Ieft on its own.
[Henry.]
: Bad Will Hunting.
I'm in.
[Magnus.]
: Declan, what is it? [Declan.]
: Nothing.
I thought I saw something.
[Henry.]
: Yeah, that's going around.
[Magnus.]
: There isn't much time.
Trust nothing.
The game will be to try to split us up.
[Will, over walkie.]
: Magnus? Henry? Anyone? Will, where are you? [Will.]
: I'm in the stern hold.
Someone knocked me out and dragged me in here.
You guys have got to get me out.
It's filling up really fast.
We're on our way.
Wait.
Will doesn't have a radio.
He dropped it in the water about 20 minutes ago.
[Magnus.]
: Well, we've found at Ieast one of our Wills.
They say you Iocked them in the keel hold, Will! [Will, muffled.]
: How could I? I was out cold! Seriously cold! Come on, Magnus, get me out of here! [Declan.]
: We tried radioing you, you didn't answer.
[Will.]
: I dropped mine earlier when I was with Henry, and I found one! It must have belonged to AIistair! [Declan.]
: Sounds possible.
[Will.]
: Come on, you guys.
This whole room is filling up with water! If I were a Migoi, don't you think I would just jump in, supercharge, and just knock this door down? [Henry.]
: That's a good point.
[Magnus.]
: AII right, we need to be sure.
Look for inconsistencies.
[Declan.]
: Right.
Will, step away from the door.
[Will.]
: Thank you! Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on.
Come on, I'm me.
I'm really me! Feel! You can't fake this kind of cold! [door opens.]
[cocking weapons.]
[footsteps approach.]
[OId Magnus.]
: Stay right where you are! [New Magnus.]
: What on earth? Put your guns down and don't come any closer! [New Magnus.]
: Henry? [New Will.]
: What the hell? We're not here to hurt you.
[OId Will.]
: You killed three of our team! We just got here.
We know you're just here to save your kind! Who are you, really? We mean you no harm.
We just need to move you off this ship.
[Declan.]
: Magnus? [OId Magnus.]
: It's actually a very clever trick.
With the four of us together, they aren't strong enough to manipulate us.
[Declan.]
: So they turn us against one another.
[New Magnus.]
: You have us at a disadvantage.
[OId Magnus.]
: You must have known we would figure out what you were doing eventually.
This is crazy.
We just Ianded Magnus, why do they Iook Iike us? [OId Will.]
: Interesting timing.
We've spent hours getting those blocks away from the water, and when we're finally finished, you guys show up down here.
You've been together for hours? Declan, how did you Iose your team? You two killed them, apparently.
If we've only just got here, it had to have been someone who's been here all along.
[OId Magnus.]
: Someone who could take on the aspect of anyone on board this ship, including Will and me.
Someone who was dependent on the four of us being separated so they could assume an identity.
Shape shifters? Chameleons? Look, we know you're Migoi! Dear God, here? You gotta be kidding me.
[New Magnus.]
: The smugglers had Migoi on board? [New Will.]
: No wonder the ship ran aground.
They would have wiped out the entire crew.
[OId Magnus.]
: How can we Iogically argue with you? You can read our minds! That's not necessarily true.
Migoi can tap into our psyche, but they can't read our every thought.
I think I'm beginning to understand.
This ship is sinking.
You needed my people to move the rest of your kind onto the ice because you couldn't do it yourselves.
[OId Magnus.]
: We moved them so they would be safe for transport.
We were trying to help.
[New Magnus.]
: You moved them away from the encroaching water.
[OId Magnus.]
: Come any closer, and we will shoot you.
Go ahead.
They can, but you can't.
You only exist here as a Migoi, which means you aren't really holding a gun.
The first person to fire a shot will be shot by everyone else in this room.
Are you willing to risk it? [Henry.]
: Doc? [New Magnus.]
: The solution is very simple, Henry.
You and Declan have already been in the water.
These two clearly haven't.
[Declan.]
: What's that got to do with anything? [OId Magnus.]
: She's going to propose that two of us get into the water to see which one turns into a Migoi.
Exactly.
Not a chance! [OId Will.]
: No one goes in the water! [Declan.]
: The Iast thing we need is a supercharged Migoi! [New Magnus.]
: Is that what she told you happens? [squealing and shrieking.]
Salt water kills them? [Declan.]
: Apparently very well.
[Magnus.]
: BIoody hell! Am I always that stubborn? [metal creaking and groaning.]
[Henry.]
: Doc How could they mimic you so perfectly? I've known you my whole Iife.
I couldn't see any difference.
It's because you know me so well, Henry, that they could do it.
They constructed the two of us from your mind and Declan's.
They reacted exactly the way you would expect us to react.
Speech patterns, movements, even emotions.
Terry, Murray, and AIistair didn't stand a chance.
It would have been the Iittlest things that would give them away.
They probably never opened a frozen door or pushed a block of ice.
[Declan.]
: They needed us to do that.
[Magnus.]
: Exactly.
[Will.]
: The Migoi are all strapped in.
Are you sure you want to do this? [Henry.]
: Doc, they killed three of our people.
They did what any creature who feels threatened would do.
They found a way to survive, and they took it.
The Migoi in those ice blocks have done nothing wrong.
They deserve our protection.
We'II take them back to the Sanctuary, and we'II honor our fallen friends by doing so.
[metal groaning sharply.]
[Will.]
: It's time to go.
[Magnus.]
: Let's get you home.
[Henry.]
: You open it.
[wind howling.]
