Tangled: The Series (2017) s02e08 Episode Script

King Pascal

1 (theme song playing) I got the wind in my hair and a fire within 'Cause there's something beginning I got a mystery to solve and excitement to spare That beautiful breeze blowing through I'm ready to follow it who knows where I'll get there, I swear With the wind in my hair (screeches) Pascal, is there anything better than the sun on your face and the wind blowing through your hair? - (squeaks) - Well, blowing through your scales? You know, I gotta admit, when I saw the Black Rock trail was leading us across the water, I had my doubts about converting the caravan into a boat.
- (thunder crashes) - And as it turns out, those doubts were not completely unfounded.
(thunder cracking) (squeaking) (loud clanging) Storm! - (grunting) - Don't worry! According to my calculations, we should just miss it.
RAPUNZEL: Whoa! When will you people learn to ignore the things I say? (thunder crashes) Listen up! The most important thing is to remain calm Really? I would've thought the most important thing to do would be to not drown! (yelling, shrieking) RAPUNZEL: Eugene, Lance, grab the helm.
We need to hit those waves at a 45-degree angle.
Cass, Foot, empty the bilge.
Max and Fidella, help me get everything on deck tied down.
- And Pascal? - (squeaks) Um, you'd better get below deck and ride this out.
(whimpers) (thunder crashes) (grunting) (screaming) (thunder crashes) (coins clinking) (Pascal groaning) (screeches) (squawks) Pascal! Oh, you're okay.
You scared me.
You should have never tried to fix that jib on your own.
Well, gang, I've got bad news and really bad news.
We strayed from the Black Rock path and our caravan is now kaput.
Wait.
So we're stuck here? I don't wanna be stuck here.
No one wants to be stuck here.
Where is here? Tirapai Island, an agricultural port known for its bountiful fruit.
The waning of the moon sharpens the sweetness of the crop, making the new moon an optimal time to harvest.
A cargo ferry arrives to bring the island's fruit to the mainland each new moon.
How do you possibly know all that? I know things.
Plus, it says it on that plaque over there.
EUGENE: Ah, plaque, yes.
Sounds like all we got to do is wait to catch the ferry at the next new moon.
Ugh.
This is horrible.
We could be here for days or months or even Look, I know it's not ideal, but if we have to be stranded, at least it's in a beautiful place like this.
And if we are stuck here, we're gonna need to make shelter.
What do you say we have a little, uh, shelter building contest, right? Cass and I versus you guys? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
There's four of us and two of you.
I mean, is that really fair? For the record, it is not two against four.
- (squeaks) - We've also got Max.
And he's as strong as a a horse.
(grumbles) EUGENE: All right, boys, first rule of shelter building: location, location, location! (hoarsely) Oh! There.
Now we're beach-ready.
(chuckles) You look so cute in your teeny-tiny, adorable, little grass skirt.
Yes, you do! Oh, wait, wait, wait Yes! (laughs) Doesn't he look so cute? Mm, cute's not really my thing.
But I gotta admit that's insanely cute! (neighing) All right, guys, let's build us a shelter! (neighs) RAPUNZEL: So, what do you think? CASSANDRA: Huh.
It'll be perfect when we add a door to protect us from all these insects.
No matter how big your appetite is, little guy, you can't eat all these bugs.
Come on.
Let's go collect some bamboo.
(sighs) We'll catch up, Max.
(grunting) (grunting) Don't worry, Pascal.
We'll find something for you to do.
Oh, gosh.
I still can't get over how cute that skirt is.
I just wanna boop your little belly all day.
- Boop, boop, boop! - (grumbles) - (leaves rustling) - (growling) Hold on.
I think we've got company.
- (growling) - (gasps) (growling) - Attack! - (gasps) Run! (screaming) (growling) (whinnies) (whinnying) (grunts) Quick! In here! (sighs) It looks like we lost them.
What is this place? Huh.
These drawings look a little bit like you, Pascal.
(growling) (muttering) Huh? ALFONS: You know we can still see you, right? Ha! You found us.
You guys must be really good at hide-and-seek.
(gasping) It's Lizardus! (nickers, neighs) Lizardus, it is you.
Lizardus? Indeed, we Lorbs have been awaiting the sacred Lizardus Rex for centuries! For he is our Kloopenhogun! Our king! But that's just Pascal.
No.
He is Lizardus, we are the Lorbs, and you are the freinfloofers.
But you are so cute! I just want to pinch you two on your schmoovenvizens! Lizardus, you must return with us to Lorbwalda, so that the others can honor you.
That sounds terrific! Oh, show us the way! Uh-uh.
We were not talking to you.
We were talking to Lizardus.
(chanting) Lizardus! Yeah, as long as it's just for a little while.
Right, Pascal? Yes, come, freinfloofers.
Come! Come, Come! Come now! What does "freinfloofer" mean? CASSANDRA: I'm pretty sure it means we're pets.
RAPUNZEL: Oh, I don't think (rocks clattering) I think we did a pretty good job.
Guys, I can't stress this enough: location is everything.
Unless that location is on an anthill.
(grumbles) (Lorbs chanting) Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Behold, Lizardus, your kingdom of Lorbwalla! (gasps) This is amazing.
Cass, oh, my lanterns! (gasps) My birthday lanterns! Can you believe it? Guess they had to land somewhere.
No! These sacred sun symbols fell from the heavens! They are gifts from the Kloopenhogun himself! See? (laughs) Kloopenhogun.
- JORN: Blood-hungry sky beasts! - (Lorbs screaming) (screaming) (cheering) Oh, Kloopenhogun, you are a master with the bug hunting! You must tackle the Firefly! I bet your attack form is uncanny.
(squeaking) Oh, great Lizardus! Perhaps you can help us with another problem.
Come with me.
Here is our most prized crop, the pompoen fruit.
Unfortunately, we lost it all in the blaze started by the evil Firefly! We face starvation! But the Kloopenhogun has arrived in the nick of time! (laughs) Kloopenhogun! They think a firefly did this? I don't think they know how fireflies work.
(shrieking) (chanting) Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Master, with your power, we can rid our village of this crop-eating vermin! We shall mark the occasion with the Feast of Lizardus Rex! (chanting) Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! Keep fanning! Ach! Harder! No, no, no, that's too much! (gasps) Freinfloofers are so hard to train! JORN: What an accurate representation of the hairy freinfloofer, with with plow plopper.
Excuse me, my nose does not look like that.
Why does my statue have fangs? Can we be done collecting mud yet? You've been giving him a facial for two hours.
We waited, and we hoped.
And we waited some more.
And then we waited a teeny bit more.
But, finally, our Kloopenhogun is here.
Aw.
And he will save us! But first, we feast! (cheering) (groans) Look, Raps, this has been fun, but in all honesty, no, it hasn't! Granted, this is not the best-looking I don't know, is this soup? It's slop.
It's hog slop.
(sighs) But if you'd stop looking at only the negative side of things, you would see that there's all this delicious, exotic fruit right in front us.
You know what? I'm gonna go talk to him.
Oh.
Oh, wow.
Oh, this fruit is kinda (moans) Kinda what, Raps? (moans) Nothin'.
It's, um it's just, uh - Uh - I'm sorry.
Just, what? It's, uh it's delicious.
- Really? - Mmm! Then, here.
Maybe you'd like to try some more delicious, exotic fruit.
(screams) (screaming) (grunts, groans) These are some really silly freinfloofers you adopted.
Ah, wow.
These stinky weeds are refreshing.
Pascal, this has to stop.
Tell them we're not your pets.
Tell them we're your friends.
Surely, Lizardus would never consider such boorish creatures friends? Pascal, this isn't you.
Huh? Where's my generous, kindhearted little buddy? Little? (laughs) Oh, funny joke! Lizardus Rex is anything but little! Lizardus possesses mighty power! These pets are the pits! Send these freinfloofers away, and come with us! We have prepared many giftings for you! It is he who is large and you who are puny! So that's why you've been acting Oh.
I've been treating him like he was Wait, Pascal, I get it! EUGENE: Looks good.
But I'm thinking, if we really wanted to avoid the anthills, we should've built a tree house.
Oh, well, I'll be! Oh, come on, guys! What have we discussed about Shorty and tools? SHORTY: Tree, meet house.
And now, our hero, Lizardus Rex, will defeat our enemy, the Firefly.
(cheering) We bestow unto you the Mighty Staff of Cupon.
And decorate you with the stinky weeds of Lorbwalla.
(Lorbs chanting) Lizardus! Lizardus! Lizardus! I can't believe I couldn't see it before.
We were making him feel left out.
I was making him feel left out.
I was treating him like he was this big.
In your defense, he is that big.
Not to me.
(sighs) I have to go apologize.
(buzzing) Uh, Cass? I think that's the Firefly.
- (buzzing) - No way! Yeah! We have to warn Pascal! - (Lorb screams) - You will warn him of nothing! FLORINA: We will finally have a fruitful pompoen season without the Firefly ruining it! Oh! We have never been this close, but with you, Master, we have no fear.
ALFONS: Behold! The Firefly! It is time! Morph into your attack form! Use your fearsome machtshovel! Is he stretching? What is this? (yelling) Is this a joke? - (Lorbs screaming) - Yeah! You really think this cute little net is gonna restrain us and a 1,200-pound horse? Come on! We have to save Pascal before he gets hurt by the Firefly.
Look at this place! High ceilings, open spaces, my favorite selling point, no terrifying insects.
And the best part is, I just found this place! Just sitting here! Lance, this is the girls' place, isn't it? Yes, and I found it.
Just sitting here.
(screaming) (shrieks) Pascal! Oh, I'm so glad to see you! I am sorry if I made you feel small and unneeded.
Uh, guys! Flying monster, remember? Master, what is the problem? Pascal is not a warrior king.
He doesn't have an attack form.
He is a chameleon.
And he would've told you sooner, but he just he got carried away with all of the attention.
Which he wouldn't have needed, if his real friends had been giving him the credit that he deserves.
Well, we can't say we fully understand, but we can definitely say, this is incredibly bad timing on your part, you crazy freinfloofer! So, uh, where are the ladies, anyway? EUGENE: I think I know where they are.
Cass! Max! Let's lure him away from the village! RAPUNZEL: Hey! Over here! (Lorbs screaming) Okay, let's take inventory.
Giant bug monster, check.
Little leafy people and Pascal in a cape.
Double check.
(chuckles) I cannot wait to hear this story.
Hey, whoa! (Lorbs screaming) Yah! Hey, Blondie! Looks like you made some new friends! You know me, never met a stranger.
(yelling) Aah.
Aah! (hisses) (grunting) (growls) (grunts) Rapunzel! What are we gonna do? There's no stopping this thing! Peppers.
Mouth on fire.
(gasps) Wait! It's not evil! It's just eating too many peppers! That's some really bad indigestion.
We just have to feed it these stinky weeds! Okay! I don't know what that means, but let's do it! Pascal! No! (growls) (roaring) Pascal? (squeaks) Pascal! Oh! You are, by far, the bravest chameleon I have ever met, and I will never, ever, ever overlook your inner strength and courage.
Or your quick thinking.
(Lorbs cheering) ALFONS: Yes! He is brilliant! The Firefly only had an upset tum-tum from the peppers! All we must do is supply him with those stinky weeds and our harvest is saved! We have lost a king, but we have gained a friend.
Well, as far as the shelter building contest goes, I think you ladies win.
What's wrong with your shelter? Well, let's just say that it kinda got away from us.
(theme music playing) Now I got my eyes open and wide My heart burnin' like fire Feels like I'm so alive I'm never goin' back Whatever I want now, I'm gonna chase Who I am, I can't contain it I'm not gonna hold it in 'Cause there's more of me to give Oh yeah There's more of me to give
