So, you set me up,

Answer me this, Judith.
What made you think I killed Joe?
I just knew.
- A mother knows.
- Bullshit.
Well?
Did you kill him?
You knew because I had a motive.
Right?
Joe killed my sister.
- That's nonsense.
- [Maya] Joe killed Claire.
- You might not want to face that, Neil.
- I don't have to listen to this shit.
Joe killed Claire and your mother knew.
- Don't listen to her.
- [Neil] No.
- Claire knew about your corruption.
- Claire stole from us.
That woman was poison.
It runs in the family.
She was trying to destroy our business.
Because she discovered
that you've been falsifying trial results,
putting dangerous drugs on the market,
making people more unwell.
But Joe stopped her,
tortured her,
murdered her.
[shudders, gasps]
[Maya] Can you imagine
what Claire's kids went through?
Her husband?
What I went through? All to protect
your dangerous, corrupt company.
[Judith] Joe panicked, Caroline.
Claire wouldn't tell him what he needed
to know, wouldn't give stolen documents.
Your sister started this.
She attacked this family.
And you should know better than anyone,
when an enemy attacks
you have the right to defend yourself.
- She was my sister, you evil fuck!
- All right, that's enough.
- [Maya] Is it, Neil?
- Yes.
Is it? Because I don't think
it's nearly enough.
You don't get it, do you?
Joe killed people.
It wasn't just Claire.
There were others.
Christopher Swain told me
all about Theo Mora, at his school.
- Mama
- There's no proof of that.
Also Tommy Dark.
Oh, and let's not forget
his own brother.
[ominous sting]
Andrew?
Andrew committed suicide.
- [Maya] Lies! Lies!
- As you well know.
[Maya] That's what Claire found out.
That's why Joe had to kill her.
Joe pushed Andrew
off the yacht to save himself.
That is not true!
Those are lies. Vicious lies.
Christopher Swain told me,
after Theo's death,
Andrew couldn't handle it.
[scoffs]
He wanted to hand himself in.
He told the others on the yacht,
but Joe wouldn't allow it.
That's nonsense.
It's complete fiction. Andrew jumped.
Joe killed Andrew and killed Claire.
How many more, Judith?
You raised a murderer.
And you married one, then killed him.
Shot him dead in cold blood,
like you were back
in that godforsaken country.
- Admit it.
- Yes!
I killed Joe.
- [ominous music plays]
- I killed the man that killed my sister.
I wasn't going to let
that monster bring up my child.
[Judith] Well, now it's all
going to come out, isn't it?
- Three witnesses?
- [tense music plays]
I'll be happy to see you spend
the rest of your life behind bars.
Well, that's fine.
Because you know what else will come out?
Your lies.
Your drug trials. And then all this
will be gone.
It's over, Judith.
Nobody will believe you.
Oh, trust me, the world's finding out.
You're finished.
- What proof?
- She's lying.
- What proof?
- You think money protects you.
You think money makes everything go away,
and this bubble that you live in,
where you just click your fingers,
and you get what you want.
Maya, you want justice for your sister.
Okay.
You've got it.
Joe is dead. Nothing else to be done.
You don't want to go to prison.
We don't want to be
tarnished by scandal. So
why don't we make an agreement?
An agreement?
We blame Joe.
We put the problems
of the drug trial on Joe,
and then suggest
that that's what led to his murder.
Clean slate.
Nobody needs to know the truth.
And maybe, Maya
maybe there are times
that I question my parenting.
The way I I brought him up
to be superior, but
Joe's gone now, and Andrew.
There's no sense in ruining more lives.
Think of Lily.
[music softens]
It's the logical solution to all this.
Don't you think?
No.
It's too late.
[Neil] She's right.
Much too late for deals.
She broke into our house, admitted killing
our brother, and threatened to kill us.
You heard her. We're in fear of our lives.
- You killed my brother.
- [chuckles]
- You're nothing. You won't destroy us.
