We are poor, little lambs Who have lost our way Baa, baa, baa Baa Baa Black Sheep S01E09 - Up for Grabs S01E09 - Up for Grabs Morale runs high in the war against Japan.
As Supreme Commander of the South West Pacific, four-star General Douglas MacArthur, visits our fighting men with a new philosophy of warfare.
My strategic concept for the Pacific theater contemplates massive strikes against only main, strategic objectives.
Utilizing surprise and air-ground striking power, supported by the fleet, key points must, of course, be taken.
But a wise choice of such will obviate the need for storming the mass of islands now in enemy possession.
Island-hopping with extravagant losses and slow progress is not my idea of how to win a war as soon and as cheaply as possible.
You require new and imaginative weapons.
Wars are never won in the past.
Promising fewer losses for greater victories, MacArthur has announced his intention to visit personally every American unit in the Pacific theater until he is assured that the fighting spirit of all our brave young men remains undaunted as we press to victory against Japan.
There it is.
All right.
Why? T.

Go ahead.
Boyington? Yes, sir.
Uh, do you have a pilot in trouble, Greg? We're picking up a distress.
Negative, sir.
Major, bring out your men.
The courier plane will be here in 20 minutes.
All of us are to line up on the runway.
Greg.
That's an order, French.
Pull your shirt out.
C'mon.
Some more.
Do you wanna take any? Come on.
Hurry up.
Let's go.
You men will form two lines! Two lines! Made another deal, didn't you, Greg? That's right.
You saved my butt.
You want my opinion? No.
I ain't goin' through with this.
I don't care about getting killed to stop it.
Listen to me, Jim.
We're to jump 'em at the airfield.
You take half and try for the jungle.
The rest of us will try and keep these guys occupied.
When I make a move for the jungle, you guys follow.
Attention.
Pappy! Let's get out of here.
Guess we showed 'em, huh, Pappy? Yeah, we did.
We got our butts out of the fire.
They still have the airfield and the plane.
You guys with grenades, cover us! Hold it! I surrender.
Mind if we take these prisoners off your hands, Major? Hey, much obliged.
What happened to General MacArthur? We diverted his flight.
Your pilot, Lt.
Casey, was picked up by Air-Sea Rescue.
When he explained the situation to us, we brought in this unit from Rendova.
Thanks, Skipper.
Thanks a lot, huh? Hey! Everybody made it okay, huh? Yeah.
