" Last night was the first of our semifinals.
It was a roller coaster of a night.
We had illness.
We had an act get three x's and we had a couple of kids turn the table on Piers Morgan.
At stake a place in the top ten.
Now, tonight five acts will make it through.
So let's go to the greenroom and see how they're holding up.

And between all of the results action, we have three incredible guests, the amazing Jimmy Fallon will be here.
One of the biggest acts from last season, recycled percussion is in the building.

We've also got three of the most famous judges in the world.

There's something about the act which is incredibly fresh and original, so I think you're one of the best ones we've had tonight.

I mean, it wasn't even trying to be convincing, is it? It is about imagining and letting go.

My mom heard about an impression contest on the radio and she had me enter.
So what I thought I could do is maybe tonight I'd like to do what I did for that contest, if that's all right with you guys.

In terms of ability to create a Vegas act, he would have been my choice.
Having said that, I know why I'm looking at these two acts.
Because America, I think, has slightly fallen in love with both of you.
Connor, we know you've overcome disability to be here.
I've watched you grow with every round.
You as a person, you've gained confidence.
You've become a bit of a showman, and what you do when you get it right is incredibly special.
Christina and Ali, I don't think we've ever had contestants who have your story.
It is completely heartbreaking to everyone who knows it.
You never asked for any sympathy or pity.
You always come on here smiling and you show great grace and manners, and you have got good voices, not great voices, good voices.
The combination of good voices and incredible personalities is going to make me lean towards you two tonight, Christina and Ali.

And you know what? The thing is you both inspire us.
I have to tell you what I love about this show is unlike any other show where there's singers and there's dancers is I kind of embrace the variety.
