America's Next Top Model (2003) s21e06 Episode Script

The Girl Who Got Five Frames

Denzel: The life of a model.
( laughs ) Let's get some coffee.
Raelia: I wanna see.
I wanna see photo of the week.
- Yeah! - Aw! - "Werked the Smirk.
" - Ahh! - Raelia: Go, Will.
- Will: Go.
Go, Will.
I got best photo.
( gasping ) I'm so happy.
Will: And it just proves that even though you're in the bottom two one week doesn't mean you can't go all the way to the top.
( squeals ) So happy.
I chose Raelia to come into the Tyra Suite, of course, 'cause she is my best friend in the house.
Twerking on the bed.
Twerking on the bed.
( laughing ) - Will: What you doing, Ben? - Ben: I don't even know what's going on in my head, dude.
What? I was here for two nights? Three nights? - Will: Yeah.
- Now I got to move out.
Ben: You know, I was from a very small town in Iowa, but a year ago I moved out to L.
A.
to pursue modeling, singing, acting.
Gotta start from scratch again.
Ben: But I think Will is my biggest competition.
He's looking the most confident.
To me, that means I have to bring it.
I want to nail this.
What are you thinking about? Just everything.
Yeah.
You can say that again.
Last week at panel Tyra whipped my butt in front of everyone.
She said that my video was the worst in "America's Next Top Model" history.
I don't think you try.
At the next photo shoot that you do, you will only have five frames.
She made it really clear she didn't really want me here.
I think maybe you misunderstood her.
Her point was that if you ever don't try again, you're going to go home.
I am definitely keeping an eye on Lenox.
She actually could win this competition, but I definitely, definitely think that her downfall in this competition will be self-doubt.
I miss people in my life.
Who do you miss the most? - My mom.
- Matthew: Yeah? I mean, my entire family, but, like, my mom.
My dad was only 50.
And during casting week he passed away.
So, winning this competition would mean a lot to my family.
$100,000 would take so much pressure off my mom.
She's worked as a firefighter, but it doesn't pay much.
I know she struggles and I hate that.
- Yeah.
- It's like I'm beating myself up in my head.
I'm not feeling sorry for myself.
Lenox: Five frames is nothing.
I'm not going to get it.
If I do, it's going to be a miracle.
Kari: Because Romeo's gone, we moved from the upstairs room to the downstairs room.
We have two beds pushed together.
And Keith and Kari, they have their beds pushed together.
Mirjana: Ah! - That's what squats will give you.
- Oh, my gosh! Romeo went home because of a physical altercation.
- Mirjana: Chill out.
- So punch me.
I'm not going to punch you because it's an automatic-- - I'm good.
- Mirjana: It's all good.
That's our little lovers' suite.
That's what we call it.
They've got the Tyra Suite, we've got the lovers' suite.
Keith: Kari and I are doing well.
We understand each other.
We understand that we're here for a competition, and we don't really make our private business public.
- ( groans ) - Mirjana: Keith and Kari, they got something going on.
If they tell you they don't, they're so full of --.
Oh, my God.
I think they like each other.
We've seen them kiss.
You ticklish? Are you ticklish? Uh-oh.
Well, I don't know.
Me and Denzel are dating.
Girl, you better stop touching my face before you get in trouble.
- For Tyra we're dating.
- Should I take my beard off? - Yes, please.
- It's fun, it's playful.
I don't know.
We'll see.
It's progressing.
Night night, --.
Wanna be on top? Wanna be on top? You know it's X-X-I, baby Na, na, na, na Na, na, na, na, na, na Na, na, na, na Boys in the house Na, na, na, na Na, na, na, na, na, na Na, na, na, na Boys in the house Wanna be on top? Wanna be on top? 2-1.
Let's go, let's go.
All right, models.
Welcome to Quixote's Studio.
So, today we're going to shoot a gorgeous avant-garde hair editorial.
Both men and women will be given fabulous hair weaves and extensions.
Okay? I know you got a little worried there.
Keith is like, "What am I going to do?" Don't you worry.
Fashion's about illusions, and to be a successful model, you have to pull off many different looks.
We're not only going to photograph you, we're going to capture you whipping your hair in motion.
I'm really excited about the shoot because we actually get to move really fast, but the shot is going to be in slow motion.
Today Massimo is going to be your photographer.
And he's an amazing talent and photographed Tyra many times.
Massimo: Be aware of your movement - because every frame counts.
- Oh, yeah.
- Especially for you, Lenox.
- Lenox: I only have five, so even if I'm not doing too well, that's all I get, period.
So I'm worried.
And let's whip yourself outta here into hair and makeup.
There's a redhead one.
Give me the redhead wig.
- This is Soy.
- Hi.
- She's got her wig on.
- She ready to go.
She's going to whip it.
Look.
Whip it.
You have a glow about you.
What's going on with you? Nothing.
I'm excited.
I'm happy.
I'm doing good.
- Mm-hmm.
- What does that mean? - ( laughing ) - I think somebody else is keeping you happy.
Denzel is fun.
I like Denzel a whole lot.
I don't think I've ever been this happy being with somebody.
But I still have not had the chance to break up with my boyfriend, so I'm probably just going to write a letter.
Denzel: She has a boyfriend; that's my safety net.
Apparently, you're her boyfriend.
First of all, I didn't even get the memo we was dating.
Mirjana is falling in love with Denzel.
He needs to think about her emotions and feelings after this competition.
- You better stay away from me-- - I'll come to the wedding.
I want to be there.
Come to the wed-- wait, wait.
Mirjana and I are, you know-- we're real cool.
But truth be told, at the end of the day, Mirjana still currently has a boyfriend, so May I give the French bulldog a French kiss? No, I don't want to have long hair.
We added hair to every single one of the models today.
- Ugh.
- The hair just throws me off.
Today's like any other challenge in a photo shoot.
You have to know how to wear what's given to you.
- Are you ready for the-- - ( barking ) All right, harness that energy.
Hold it back! Really just getting into my inner crazy rocker dude.
Action.
You're making a weird face, Adam.
- ( growls ) - Massimo: Cut, cut.
So, you wanna feel the wind and you wanna flip.
You know, Adam is one of-- my problem child.
Massimo: And flip.
But your mouth is doing this.
Yu Tsai: But I will tell you one thing about Adam today-- he listened.
- Adam is slowly improving.
- And flip.
This photo shoot I really have to do something to impress Kelly.
I've gotten a six every time from Kelly.
- Action.
- Adam: I keep getting the message that, "You're just a frat boy, you're not a model.
" I gave up grad school to be here.
You think I'm treating my life like a joke? - You did good, man.
- Thanks.
- Hello, Ben.
- Hey.
- I see you're practicing.
- Yes.
Keep going.
All right, so you got lots of long hair to work with today.
Ben: I don't feel as confident as I have in the past.
Well, that's a challenge of modeling, right? - Right, right.
- Your job's to sell this look.
- Awesome.
- Work hard.
Cool.
Will do.
I don't know if I totally am 100% confident with my hair, but I'm a quadruple threat.
I can dance, I can sing, act, model.
I have a lot to prove.
That means I have to stay focused.
You won best picture before, so you know what it takes to get it.
And whip it.
( chuckles ) One, two, three.
Why are you so fast? Let me show you.
That's how you're modeling.
I get very frustrated with Ben because he looks like a model, he kind of acts like a model, but the camera doesn't believe he's a model.
- He has weird hair.
- Yu Tsai: He has to figure out how to make sure the camera loves him, 'cause right now mmm, it's definitely a tug-of-war.
- Every frame - Counts.
Yu Tsai: Nice! All right, that's take 22! Got a go-go girl dancer coming out.
- Massimo: And whip it! - Yu Tsai: Let's go, take 15.
Stay chin up! Thank you very much.
Next.
Yes! You wanna be on top? I love it, I love it, I love it.
You don't have that much frames, so make it count, okay? Yu Tsai: Ready? Lenox: Tyra says I only have five frames, but since this is going to be a hair video, it's only going to be five takes.
I'm really nervous.
I need to do well on this.
- All right, Lenox.
- Mirjana: I think she's very nervous.
We all get, like, 30 maybe, and she only has five, so that sucks.
You can't really do much.
You can't really get into it.
I'll be very surprised if she does pull it off.
Take number one.
- Massimo: Cut! - Swing again.
Action! Yu Tsai: Okay, stop.
Flip again.
- Keep moving.
Keep modeling through.
- Keep moving, Lenox.
Lenox: I don't think I'm going to get this shot in five frames.
- Here we go.
- Camera, roll, please.
Lenox: I think my nerves just really got to me.
I walk off set and I was just kicking myself the entire time, like, "You look so stupid right now.
" Are you okay? ( crying ) I can't do this.
Are you okay? ( crying ) I can't do this.
Lenox: I'm so broken.
I'm just in a horrible place and I got scared.
Whenever I get really, really scared, I just burst into tears.
- It's so hard.
- Hard.
I know, it's natural.
It's natural to break down in this situation.
Out of everyone here, if there's anyone that can get it done like that, it's you.
Lenox: I don't like to cry.
It just feels like I'm showing others that I'm not handling it well.
And I like for people to say, "She's tough.
" I want to be tough.
This is hard and I don't want people to see me cry.
Look, Lenox, it's okay.
- I've cried so many times.
- A tear doesn't mean you're weak.
You're so concerned about crying-- you should channel that concern to perform - the best on set.
- I'm trying.
And if you need a good cry, have a good cry.
Sometimes you just need to let it out.
Lenox needs to understand tears are not a sign of weakness.
I am such a strong supporter of you.
I think you have something really special.
So what are we going to do? I'm going to get this makeup fixed.
It is okay to cry.
It's okay to be frustrated.
Just learn how to channel it and hold it all in when you need it.
We already did three flips in there, believe it or not.
- Yeah.
- You get two more flips.
So this time, I want you to just flip once and model through.
- You forgot to model.
- One, two, three action.
Ben: Lenox is the type of girl that doesn't want to draw too much attention on herself or make a scene.
But Lenox definitely came back and collected herself.
Go crazy.
This is the last flip right there.
This is your last frame.
Don't flip anymore! That's it.
- Cut! - Lenox: I hope I got a good shot.
I really did try.
I really want to be here.
I just wish I hadn't cried so much.
One, two, three, go! No, flick it back this way.
- Massimo: Whip it good! - Yu Tsai: Look at that! - Hold it, hold it, hold it! - Oh, I like the smize.
She smized at you! - That's better.
- Massimo: Beautiful.
Denzel, Denzel, Denzel's up.
Let's do it! I have literally never worked with a wig in my life.
Nor have I ever put on manliner.
So these were two firsts that I was very nervous about having to rock.
- Yu Tsai: I love it.
- Massimo: Okay, one - Both: two, three.
- Go.
Go! - Bam.
- Massimo: The male models, they're not used to have long hair like girls.
Denzel was the only one that looks like a natural.
- I kind of love it.
- Oh! ( laughs ) I just took off his-- - I just took it off.
- For real? Shei: Mirjana and Denzel's relationship-- sometimes it can be just too extra.
Not everyone cares what y'all do.
I'm gonna-- wait till we get home.
What you mean, "Wait till we get home?" 'Cause, like, Keith and Kari, they have a little thing going, but when they're on set, it's just professional.
They kind of do their own thing.
Okay, let's do this.
Will: Mirjana's definitely being affected by her little romance with Denzel.
I think it's made her too comfortable in the competition and it's not pushing her over the edge to be a better model.
Massimo: Go.
See? She's like a shrimp being fried.
Like - Massimo: Keep moving.
Keep modeling.
- Yu Tsai: Keep moving.
- Yes.
- Don't forget that's your light.
Yu Tsai: Let the wind-- no, no, no! Don't touch it! Mirjana: I am a little worried about the hair.
I do have the biggest wig out of everyone in the group.
I'm definitely worried that the wig will kind of over-shine me a little bit.
- Massimo: Cut! Done.
- Yu Tsai: Done.
Thank you, Mirjana.
Can you just shake your head? I want to see how the hair moves.
Both: Yeah.
Flick it back straight like a rock star.
You know, everybody think Keith is so pretty.
And Keith think himself is so pretty as well.
And again.
Go.
Yu Tsai: And that's a problem, 'cause all he gives every single week is that pretty Keith face.
Massimo: two, three, go.
Shei: Keith was struggling a little bit.
I think the whole factor of having hair-- he didn't know what to do.
- No.
- It's not cute.
Massimo: It's not cute.
You don't work this hair out.
Keith: As an ex-football player, I'm used to being very aggressive and hard.
But with modeling, it's a different kind of intensity.
- Massimo: Whoa! Where are you going? - Keith: I was nervous.
You just gotta pray and see what happens.
Massimo: Oh, my God.
Well done.
I don't really know if I got a good shot.
I hope I did, but honestly, I'm not so confident.
- So I have no idea.
- Thank you.
- ( cheering ) - Yu Tsai: Good job, you guys.
But we'll see when I get to panel.
- Denzel: Add it up.
- Mirjana: No.
- Denzel: Why? - Mirjana: Boo! - ( screams ) - Keep going, boo.
Keep going, keep going.
I'm gonna give y'all a hotel room.
Stop! Stop! Oh, my God, boo! Denzel: Where you going? Where you going? Mirjana: Stop.
Denzel.
Oh, my God! - Ah! - ( laughing ) Shei: I feel like Mirjana might be a little focused on Denzel rather than the modeling competition.
Shei: Enough of this husband and wife --.
- I'm tired of hearing y'all.
- I just walked in here.
We've been hearing you yell all day.
Shei: I think Denzel is more focused on the modeling.
He plays the game both ways.
I kind of feel bad for Mirjana, because I don't know if she sees it.
Okay? Raelia: They're really comfortable with just being sexually open and we're all a little uncomfortable.
That's not class.
Let's talk about class.
You don't have it at all.
There's just been too much going on.
- I have no idea what you're talking about.
- I know.
Kari: You know exactly what we're talking about.
I don't know what-- can I just make my cheese dip? ( guitar music playing ) Ben: This is so out of tune, dude.
The flow-- That can be the lead-in.
The flow don't stop till we something something.
Singing is another passion of mine.
Then you can-- you can start the rap.
The next line.
So, yeah.
Ben: Adam and I have prepared a song for panel.
It's just about being on top, "Top Model," the whole competition.
"Top Model" story and this is how it goes.
And then you can start, Yo, my name is Adam.
I want to sing this for Tyra.
In the back of my mind, to be honest, the hair shoot kind of threw me for a loop.
And then last week I was in the bottom three.
And so I need to really show the judges that I'm here to win it.
I just don't want to go home this week.
( dance music blaring ) Yu Tsai: Come on down, everyone! It's a party! ( laughing ) - ( music continues ) - Yu Tsai: Yes, yes.
Come on, Nina.
Go, go, go.
Shei: We come downstairs, Nina Burns is there from last cycle.
She's a little hula hooper.
Super cute, super sweet, so it was exciting to see her.
Hello, models! First of all, let me introduce you to beautiful Nina from cycle 2.
0.
- Hi! - ( cheering ) We're having a little party because there's a guest of honor here.
- Of course, twist.
- Mm-hmm.
Oh, my gosh, what's about to happen? I want you all to meet Come on, who is it? Who is it? Who is it? ( screaming, cheering ) There's a guest of honor here.
I want you all to meet Nick Cannon.
( cheering ) Nick: Yo! What up? I'm star-struck.
The Nick Cannon.
I mean, Nick Jr.
Nick Cannon, "Wild 'N Out" Nick Cannon.
I mean, married to Mariah Carey Nick Cannon.
Mirjana: Nick Cannon is hot.
Mariah Carey's definitely lucky.
She's definitely lucky.
What's up, guys? Now, we may be having a party, but today I'm putting you to work for your next challenge.
Here's what you're going to do.
You're going to be creating an ad campaign for my incredible headphones powered by Monster.
With these headphones anywhere can be a private party.
Watch, plug in.
Ooh, ooh, kill 'em.
What is going down? See? Now that's nice.
It's a private party.
You're going to create a panoramic ad using Nick's rocking headphones.
Nick: Now, the team that makes the best photo actually gets to use their photo in my new headphone campaign.
- Really? - ( cheering ) We're about to shoot a campaign for Nick Cannon's new headphone line.
And we get to pick the wardrobe and direct it.
I mean, everything is in our hands.
And we're like, "All right, let's do it.
" Now, we're going to divide you guys into three groups.
- Ben.
- ( cheering ) - Let's go.
- Ben: Yu Tsai tells us that myself, Adam, and Lenox are all team captains - ( laughing ) - Raelia: Own it, Lenox.
- You look nervous.
- Yu Tsai: She always looks nervous.
because we're in the bottom three and we have a lot to prove.
Now you get to pick your team.
- I choose Matt.
- Lenox: I got Matt because he was going to be able to produce things really well.
And Kari has this amazing, gorgeous look, and I snatched her up as quickly as I could.
- Let's go with Denzel.
- I assembled a killer, killer team.
Killer squad-- unbelievable looks, unbelievable intelligence, - and I'm feeling great.
- I'm going to go with Shei.
Ben: First person I picked on my team was Shei.
I love her look.
Will because he has a great fashion sense.
And Keith.
The ladies love him.
- I have a very strong team.
- Get going! - Have fun! - Damn! Kari: The time constraint is an hour, and it's definitely sitting in the back of our mind the whole time.
Adam: Everyone take five minutes, brainstorm.
What I'm thinking-- Denzel's in the middle, between y'all on the bar.
You two are in some really cool pose.
Our concept is to turn the house into a high fashion party.
And we're going to somehow get Mirjana and Raelia into two separate areas of the same photo.
I'm so confident.
Yeah, we got this.
Good, I like the story that you're telling.
- Cool, man.
- Cool.
- Will, I trust your judgment on wardrobe.
- Will: Yes, sir! - So whatever you think-- - Captain, sir.
- Ben, he was very passive as a leader.
- I don't know.
Okay, let's do, like, the loungey, beach-type theme.
- In a cabana.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He let us dictate what we wanted and he just went along with it.
- Or no socks and the shoes.
- Okay, yeah, no socks.
Ben: I took charge, but I do think two heads are better than one.
And four heads is even better.
Keith: I'm going to tuck this in so that you can see the belt, you know? I believe it is a good thing that we all had a say-so 'cause I really need to win this for my own sake in this competition.
What do we got planned so far? Well, we're going to try and get as many photos as possible - and have variety.
- The most difficult thing for the models would have to be utilizing the tablet and doing this for an ad.
I mean, the stakes are high.
I want to use this as a bedroom set.
Move this trash.
Exactly what we did.
I don't think we have time for that.
That's too much.
We have to-- To move this stuff is too much? I have really good ideas, but Lenox doesn't want to hear them.
( laughs ) I-- ugh.
What do you want to do? Just use this blank and have me move.
But Lenox is captain.
She was in the bottom, not me.
It's her deal.
So would you rather do that than Matt's, or what? Whichever one you think is going to work better.
I don't-- I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know what I want to do.
But I don't want to go home.
I really want to stay.
So it's crucial that I do well at this.
- Lenox, you're team captain.
It's your decision.
- Matthew: Yeah.
All right, I'll move the bed, you guys start at the bottom.
Start messing with it.
Lenox: Matt seems to be every once in a while trying to take over things, but I really need to be the one in control of things.
Not necessarily 'cause I want it, but because I need to show I can take control.
All right, ready? Go.
Kari: We find out that you can actually move within the tablet's photo.
So once we figured that out, we were, like, running with this idea.
- We need to have somebody else-- - I do like this.
I feel like that looks good, but we need to have somebody in the middle.
We had Kari from the get-go being the one on camera, not me, but I thought in my dark hair and big eyes that I can be in the middle.
I can show that I can do it.
I don't have to be bossy.
I can just help control which ideas are being used and which aren't.
And that was a good spot for me to be in.
- ( laughing ) - Yes! Yes! So these --, these shoes.
Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
Don't think, react.
With modeling and football, it's all reaction.
It's how you handle a situation.
I'm definitely feeling the time crunch.
Keith: Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Oh, my God.
Will: Ben gets this frazzled, crazy Ben face and is running around trying to do everything.
- No, grab that table, doofus.
- Oh, yes, perfect, perfect.
Everyone is just kind of like, "What do we do?" Ben: Aw, somebody didn't put panorama.
- Will: Someone? That's you.
- It starts to become a hot mess.
- Both sides.
- Just so you get a heads-up-- - you don't have much time.
- I know.
We took too long on wardrobe, too long on makeup.
I knew that we wouldn't have enough time to get the best shot.
'Cause you can't run in front of the lens, okay? How are we gonna do that-- all that in heels? We don't have that much time.
Adam, five-minute warning.
( grunts ) Okay.
So the concept for our team's photo is me and Raelia, we're like super bored, nothing to do.
We see a guy, which is Denzel, and he has the NCredibles.
We sit next to him, and it's all three connected.
So we go from bored to having fun.
We got it.
We got it.
We got it.
That's a wrap.
Lenox, Matthew, I might disqualify you.
- Get down here! - Oh, crap, come on.
Crop it, crop it while you're walking.
Crop it while you're walking.
I have to start off by saying everyone did a very good job.
Adam, your group-- the thing that I loved was you told a story.
Ladies were kind of bored.
Panned over, ladies were magically there with the headphones on.
The only thing-- once the ladies had the headphones on, they seemed just as bored.
Other than that, you guys actually incorporated people in the party as well.
It felt like a party.
Ben, you guys had fun.
It was definitely a party.
I was loving being by the pool, but this could've been an ad for anything.
It was so wide, a lot of other things popped other than the headphones.
But you guys had more fun than anyone.
Finally, Lenox.
I feel out of everyone your team probably had the most unique approach to this.
It kind of just oozed style.
Obviously, you guys both have this amazing, unique look, and the product was the focal point.
The downfall-- I didn't know where you guys were.
And the whole vibe was supposed to be you're at a party.
- Yeah.
- The winner of this challenge is - Lenox and - ( cheering ) Mirjana: I don't feel like Lenox deserves to be here.
She's a very small-town, quiet girl.
She can't be sexy, she can't do this, she can't do that.
- She's just there.
- Nick: Lenox did outstanding.
She swung it all the way home-- the execution from the style to her use of the models - to her use of herself.
- Yay, Lennie! - Matthew: Cycle 21! - ( cheering ) Hey, everybody, our challenge scores are up.
Mirjana: Challenge scores! I'm excited about this nine.
- Hell, yeah.
- Keith: What the --? Ben: It sucks knowing we're at the bottom of the pack with an eight instead of a nine.
But I'm not letting it get to me.
I know the other people in my group aren't letting it get to them.
We're just anxiously waiting for panel.
I have to learn to take the frustration I get out of losing, 'cause with football, I could take that anger and just go knock somebody's head off.
- Hell, yeah! - Uh-huh! Even though I did well in the challenge, the challenge isn't what they look at; they look at the pictures.
But I only had five frames.
I don't know how the videos look.
- Every frame counts? - Lenox: I don't want to go home.
I really want to stay.
I need to make money, help my mom out.
She's struggling.
She's paying for my college.
So I'm going to do my best.
That's all I can do.
- Tyra: Well, hello, my models.
- ( overlapping hellos ) - How are we doing? - Models: Good.
I can't help but see that Ben has something.
- An ol' "ghee-tar.
" - Why do you have a "ghee-tar"? Well, Adam and I wrote a song, and we would like - to share it with you all.
- ( laughter ) Okay.
Share it.
( guitar playing ) Main stage rage cage Do you even pose? My grandmamma outraged 'cause I ain't wearin' no clothes He's butt naked Bu-buzz cut bros And flow-mingos "Top Model" story, girl Yeah, this is how it goes - Take it, Adam.
- Dolphin sex, Adonis diapers Kelly Cutrone, please no more sixes Throw your boy a bone I just want to say Got a sick runway walk all thanks to Miss J.
- Thought Lenox was gone - Hey - She's quiet as a mouse - Hey But forget that noise, we all still in the house! ( cheering ) I wanna be on top - Top, top, top - Everybody! I wanna be on top Top, top I wanna be on top Top, top, top.
( cheering ) I wanna put you in a record studio and record it or something.
- All right, thank you.
- Ben: Thank you.
Let's introduce the lovely Kelly Cutrone, P.
R.
fashion maven.
Miss J.
Alexander, runway diva coach extraordinaire.
And you know our prizes-- the first is a spread in "Nylon" magazine.
You will have the opportunity to be represented by Next Model Management.
And a $100,000 prize from Guess.
So, this week y'all met crazy, fun Nick Cannon.
- Models: Yes.
- And the winners of that challenge were Miss Lenox, Kari, and Matthew.
- Congratulations! - Thank you.
This week's photo shoot was all about whipping and flipping.
And do you see how the teaches continue? Because do you remember that? With the making love to the camera? For the girls it's the boom to the boom, to the boom, to the boom.
Tyra: It all interconnects.
- First up is Adam.
- All right.
How was it being a man having to wear a mane? Cut all my hair off and then give it back.
- We teased you! - Yeah, it felt great to have it back on, though.
Okay, and here you are.
Whip that flip! Bitch better work.
- J.
Alexander: Interesting.
- Well, we finally are losing the cabana boy at the Hawaiian Tropic contest.
This shocked me as the first time I could even consider thinking of you as a model at all.
I love the angles from the upper left to the lower right.
- I think it's brilliant.
- Tyra: And here is a comment.
"Adam's picture is great.
His eyes match the outfit, and he is selling not only the clothes, but also the accessories.
" - I give him an eight.
- I give you an eight.
Good job this week.
I think you are working it.
You have versatility.
- I give you an eight.
- Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Next is Ben.
- Beautiful song, Ben.
- Thank you.
Whip the flip.
Incomplete whip.
Did you see that? You stopped it.
You went like this.
You went You should have kept that head going.
- Should be continuing to go back.
- Ben: Oh.
- Tyra: You stopped short.
- You look like a drag bar owner in the "Flintstones" in the shot.
It's painful.
It's pre-historically horrible for me to even look at.
The hair is wearing you; you're not wearing the hair.
Let's see a video.
Hey, Ben, this is for you.
I just wanted to let you know that I'm wearing a cheap wig, and I'm still pulling this video better than your photo shoot went.
So, take that.
- I give you a six.
- I give you a five.
So, Ben, I give you a 10 for your song.
This photo, to me, is a six.
- Thank you, you guys.
Thank you.
- Tyra: Kari.
Ice princess.
Let's see if your flip is a winner.
Kelly: I'm not a fan of this, Kari.
To me, you just don't read like a model in this shot.
J.
Alexander: That I like, that I like.
- Tyra: Your gorgeous moment is there.
- J.
Alexander: Yes, yep.
Tyra: And I'll explain that to you.
That is why that was not chosen.
So, whatever the product is gets the preferential treatment.
- Right.
- So that client's like, "I don't care if she don't look that pretty.
- I'm trying to sell shampoo.
" - Kari: Right.
Tyra: So I'm going to choose this hair shot.
And that's why that was chosen.
Every single moment has to be amazing if you want to be represented as your best.
- Kari, I give you a seven.
- I give you a six.
Kari, I give you a nine.
- Thank you, Kari.
Matthew.
- Thanks.
Tyra: You don't look like you're whipping it.
And you know that the whip needs to be good.
You look like, "Let me get this up off my face.
" Not fashionable.
Just fine-ass Matthew just standing there.
Kelly: You have a beautiful face, and, for me, that saved you a little bit this week in the shot.
- I give you an eight.
- And I'm giving you an eight basically for good looks.
Good looks, schmook looks.
Yeah, your mommy and daddy created a beautiful Matthew, but this performance is sucky, and I give you a six.
I don't care how fine you are.
Get your little fine ass back over there.
Keith.
And here's a video.
Whip that flip! Kelly: It doesn't look like an editorial model shot to me.
There's nothing amazing about it.
You just look like a tough dude.
And the question that I have about you is are you a one-trick pony? Kelly calls you a one-trick pony.
I think this is a horse that many people would want to ride.
- ( Kelly laughs ) - ( laughs ) - You get a seven.
- A seven.
I like Keith's picture and I like the control.
I like the hard manliness with this hair whip.
- I give you a nine.
- All right, thank you.
Okay, Mirjana.
Whip that flip! Ooh, girl.
Look at that control.
- Face control.
- Kelly: I love this shot of you 'cause I think it's totally fierce.
Sure, you use Smize shampoo.
( laughing ) And it doesn't burn the eyes, obviously.
Okay, here is a video.
"Marjaina"-- I think that's her name-- has the best picture.
She workin' the hair, she workin' the makeup, she workin' the smize.
She just workin', baby.
You was workin', honey.
- Get it right.
- My real name is Mirjana.
- Not Marjana.
- Not Marjana.
But you can call me what you want.
Kelly: I love the way your mouth is open a little bit.
Your neck is fierce.
I give you a nine.
- A Marjana nine.
- This is Beyoncé as a fashion model.
- This is amazing.
- Thank you.
Miss Mirjana M-Marjana, a nine as well.
- Thank you.
Thank you.
- Tyra: All right, girl.
Next is Denzel.
This beard texture looks wonderful.
- It does.
I like it.
- We should've had Denzel whip the beard.
- Oh, I'm glad you didn't.
- It was so straight last week he could've.
- ( laughing ) - Tyra: Here's your flip.
- J.
Alexander: Hey, girl.
- Kelly: It's very Fabio.
Tyra: You have real control of your face and movement.
You naturally work like you got some hair coming out your scalp.
I-- ( groans ) I'm not loving this.
To me, it doesn't look like a fashion shoot.
It looks like an audition for a rock band in Detroit.
I think you're wearing the hair, as crazy as it looks.
- I think you're really wearing it.
- Denzel: Thank you.
- I give you a seven.
- Eight.
- Nine.
- Thank you.
Shei.
Let's see Shei whipping that flip.
Such a warrior.
Kelly: Finally, I like a shot of you, Shei.
I really love this.
To me, there's a balance in your face and there's a really nice intensity.
Yes, strong, powerful, warritress.
- Warritress? - Warritress.
- Is that a female warrior? - There you go.
- Shei, I give you an eight.
- Eight.
- I give you an eight.
- Thank you.
Tyra: Okay.
Thank you.
- Raelia.
- Hello.
- ( Tyra whooping ) - J.
Alexander: See? Tyra: Girl, work, work, work, work.
Hair commercial.
Hair commercial, girl.
Hair commercial.
Kelly: You look absolutely gorgeous.
The movement, your arms.
I love everything about it.
Here is a comment for you to read.
"Raelia's giving it with her body, but nothing with her face at all.
If you're going to do that pose, you need to get some kind of emotion other than looking bored.
" - I give you a nine.
- I give you an eight, boo.
I think you look fine.
I'm giving you a nine.
- Thank you.
Thank you so much.
- And, Raelia, one thing, because sometimes you speak too fast and I'm trying to follow you.
- Okay.
- The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain.
- Try that.
- The brain in Splain falls mainly in the plain.
- Blain in the Splain.
- Both: Blain in the Splain! The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain.
The rain in Spain - falls mainly in the plain.
- That was really good.
Okay.
Will, your turn.
What a pain.
Tyra: Whip that flip.
Uh-oh.
Fierce fantasy head roll! You're hunching a little too much for me.
It's the hunchy-do.
This was one of the best flips, but you went into that and lost your power.
I love your angles here.
I love your eyes, I love your mouth.
I love the way your hair is in this shot.
- I'm going to give you a nine.
- An eight.
Because you're so hunchy, seven.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
- Lenox.
So, Miss Lenox - Hi.
You went from the bottom, bottom, bottom, and if Romeo didn't have that act of violence last week - you would've gone home.
- Mm-hmm.
But I gave a penalty and said that you only had five hair whips.
Here is your best shot.
- J.
Alexander: Bam! - Tyra: Look at the eye intensity, Lenox, boring through, even as the hair stopped being whipped.
J.
Alexander: I'm gonna give you a one already.
- You're gonna give her a one? - Yeah, 'cause see, when Tyra gave her a one, you see what happened? Kelly: I like that there's a freakiness that I want to see from you in this shot.
It's still a little eerie and fashion for me.
I love your eyes and the intensity, and I think the hair is super fierce.
Here's a comment for you to read.
"Lenox, by far my favorite this season.
As always, I am blown away.
The flip of the hair and your eyes make this the perfect shot.
You are staring into my soul.
" - Lenox, I give you an eight.
- A nine.
So, Lenox, talk about that pressure.
It was a lot of pressure.
It was really terrifying.
I was, like, shaking.
Yeah, a supermodel like you could do it, but I couldn't.
- Maybe, maybe not.
- Lenox: So I was just-- You never know what can happen.
Like, a wind tunnel of weirdness can happen at that moment that gets in your mouth.
So, last week I gave you a one.
That commercial was so bad.
And I think you have come really, really far.
So far, that I give you a 10.
- Lenox: Thank you.
- Whoa! I appreciate it.
Now it is time to add up your challenge score, your judging score, and your social media score.
And that will determine who stays and who must leave the competition.
but I only have 10 photos in my hands.
And these photos represent the beauties that are still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
We have added in your challenge scores, the judging scores, and social media scores.
And the results are in.
The first name I'm going to call is best photo and will have keys to the Tyra Suite.
Lenox.
Interesting.
Your name was called first.
A journey is not always up, up, up, up, up, up.
It's up, down, and it's about who can get the hell up.
- Especially when they only have five frames.
- Mm-hmm.
Congratulations.
You're still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
- Thank you.
- Welcome.
The next name I'm going to call is runner-up for best photo.
Mirjana.
- Congratulations.
- Thank you.
Raelia.
- Raelia: Thank you.
- Three girls called first.
The men were killing it week after week after week.
The next name I'm going to call is Shei.
Boys, boys, boys.
What is going on? Will.
Adam.
Matthew.
You cannot rest on the beauty.
It is the beauty, but beauty is not the enough, yes? Denzel.
The next name I'm going to call is Kari.
Congratulations.
You're still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
- Thank you.
- Tyra: Welcome.
Will Ben and Keith please step forward? Two beautiful models stand before me, but I have one photo in my hands.
And this photo represents the beauty that's still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
I will only call one name.
The name I do not call must immediately return to your home here in Los Angeles, pack your bags, and go home.
So, it is a sad state of affairs that Keith and Ben stand before me because both of you have had best photo.
So let's start with you, Keith.
I think you have one of the strongest faces here, but the judges are bored.
They feel like they've seen it, and your fans at home are starting to yawn.
And then we have Ben.
So much personality, wrote that amazing song, but your photo this week was off-key.
So who stays in this competition? I'm going home.
Congratulations, Keith.
You're still in the running towards becoming - America's Next Top Model.
- Thank you.
So - this sucks.
- Yep.
You have a talent that I saw today.
Not only are you a model, but you can sing and you can play the guitar.
You're still in this competition in terms of being able to be eligible to come back.
- Yes.
- So you're going to do every single photo shoot, and hopefully you will get voted to come back into this competition.
- Yep.
- At the same time, I don't want you to stop playing that guitar and writing music, - because I saw something very special.
- Okay.
- Good luck.
- Thank you so much.
- Be on top, top, top.
- Much love, guys.
- I'm gonna be on top - Coming into this competition with very little modeling experience, and being a small-town guy, I'm just so proud of myself.
Tyra said that there is a chance that I could come back.
So right now I'm going to focus on coming back.
I'm going to focus on my poses.
I'm excited to keep going, and I'm not going to relax.
- Top, top.
- See you guys.
Be coming back.
( music playing ) Tyra: Next time on "Top Model" I want a dude to win, but I don't want it to be Will.
I came out here to get beat by a dude who wears heels? It's an ignorant comment.
Keeping my cool with Mirjana is a daily struggle.
- I'm your competition, though.
- Bitch, you ain't gon' win! - Okay, we'll see.
- I'm hoping that one of them clocks the other.
