Austin and Ally s02e24 Episode Script

Real Life & Reel Life

Guess who just had the best team Austin and Ally meeting.
Uh, weren't you forgetting something? No, we had snacks.
So what'd you guys talk about? Just the greatest idea of all time.
We're gonna make our very own Austin and Ally movie! The record label thinks it'll be great publicity for your career.
And it can be my big break as a Director.
We're gonna make a rock-umentary.
You know, like that Katy Perry movie.
That movie's awesome! Or at least that's what I heard a girl say when I was at the theater watching A manly action movie.
Oh, did you see the manly action movie after we saw the Katy Perry movie? Dez.
Well, the Austin and Ally movie will be even better.
We're gonna recreate the biggest moments of your career.
When you met, when you first got signed When we told you we're doing a rock-umentary.
When wait, I should be filming this right now.
Ally, how do you feel about this? Um well, I Cut! Pfft! Amateur.
It's not too late to cast me in the Ally role.
It's like looking in a mirror.
Hey, if we're recasting, I want Ryan Gosling to play me.
No, you guys are both playing yourselves.
But not your normal, boring selves.
We're gonna combine different movie styles.
This rock-umentary is gonna have the excitement of a thriller, The laughs of a comedy, and the blood and guts of a horror film! We should do a scene like an action movie.
- Perfect! - Ooh, and one like a musical.
Love it! Ooh, and one as a historical drama set in 17th century France.
Yeah, we're not doing that one.
When the crowd wants more, I bring on the thunder.
'Cause you've got my back, and I'm not going under.
You're my point, you're my guard.
You're the perfect chord.
And I see our names together on every billboard.
We're headed for the top, we've got it on lock.
We'll make 'em say "hey!" And we'll keep rockin'.
Oh, there's no way I could make it without ya.
Do it without ya, be here without ya.
It's no fun when you're doing it solo.
With you it's like, "whoa".
Yeah, and I know.
I own this dream.
'Cause I got you with me.
There's no way I could make it without ya.
Do it without ya, be here without ya.
Austin, this is the scene where you first meet Ally.
This is the most important moment in your career.
Without her, you're just a wasted talent.
- A wannabe, a nobody - Got it.
Okay, places! We're losing sunlight, people.
And action.
Excuse me, do you not see the "please do not play the drums" sign? It's okay, I'm an awesome drummer.
What you just said has nothing to do with what I just said.
Are those corn dogs? No.
They're weapons in a well-trained hand.
Look out! Ninjas! They must be here to steal my songbook.
The name is Moon.
Austin Moon.
I believe this belongs to you.
Thanks.
And don't touch my book.
And cut! Woo! That was awesome! I understand you want to make our lives seem more exciting, but are you sure this is believable? You're right.
We need more explosions.
I'll add in special effects later.
So what scene are we shooting next? Well, after you guys became partners, the next big moment in your career was Austin's first Webcast.
Actually, I wrote a scene that comes before that Something that highlights the importance of my role in the Austin and Ally story.
Because without me, you'd both be wasted talents, wannabes, nobodies Okay, we get it.
All right, Ally.
Trish wrote the scene as a soap opera, so I need you to amp up the drama.
Trish, just be yourself.
Camera! Lights! Music.
And action.
Ally, did you finish the song for Austin's first Webcast? But Trisha, you weren't supposed to be back from the gala till This evening.
It ended early.
My evil twin Francesca Woke from her coma and drove her car into my stepfather's mansion.
Again? What happened to the grand piano Austin gave you? It's Missing! Ah! Psst.
Oh.
I sent it back.
I can't be Austin's partner.
I can no longer bear the thought of writing songs for him.
But you two make such beautiful music together.
You write; He rocks.
I know.
It's just I'm having second Thoughts.
Cut! Do we really need this scene? Wait.
Did that actually happen? You wanted to end our partnership? Oh! No.
Trish just wanted to create drama for her soap opera.
No, Ally, everything in this scene happened for real.
Well, except for the part about my evil twin Francesca.
But the rest, pretty much.
Wow, I didn't know you didn't want to be my partner.
Why not? Well It looked like you had stolen my song, you embarrassed me on live TV and Honestly, I thought you might be a one-hit wonder.
One-hit wonder?! I I said "wonder".
As in "wonderful!" I can't believe this! Oh, come on.
We were so different.
Of course I had doubts about being your partner.
Man, Ally, I thought you believed in me.
But now I know you had no faith in me at all.
Now that's how you do a soap opera.
Austin, you're being ridiculous.
All this happened a long time ago.
You've gotta get over it.
Yeah, buddy.
I know you're upset.
But we've got a big musical number coming up.
So put a smile on your face, slap some twinkle in your toes, and put some jazz in your hands.
Fine.
Close.
It's more like this.
Austin lost his voice.
He's lost his voice.
What will he do? What will he do? Did the operation work? I really hope he's able.
If he gets his voice back he can sign with Jimmy's label.
This is a moment he's dreamed of his whole life.
Did it work? Did it work? Did it work? Yes.
It worked, it worked, it worked.
Yay, this is so great.
Let's celebrate, my dream's come true.
I couldn't have done it without you.
Oh-oh! Our hard work paid off.
We're on our way.
Nothing can stop us now.
Hooray.
Hooray.
Cut! Cut cut cut! Austin, that was Terrible.
What part of "jazz hands" don't you understand? The "jazz" part or the "hands" part? Are you really gonna be mad at me in every scene we shoot? - No.
I'll let it go.
- Good! The next scene we're shooting is where Ally overcomes her stage fright at Jimmy Starr's Halloween party.
She was wearing a mask! It's not like she overcame her stage fright for real.
That's the spirit! And music! And And Action! Captain Moon, the enemy's fleet to starboard! You'll never take me ship! Fire! This song be called "don't look down".
It was written by me partner Ally Dawson.
Or did you not wanna be my partner at this point? I can't remember.
Stick to the script.
Austin, it's me, Ally.
Taylor Swift got hurt and I'm pretending to be her.
What about your stage fright? That's why I'm hiding behind this eye patch.
Aye! Great disguise! So argh Ye ready to sing? Actually, I'm a little nervous.
What should I do? Jump.
Um You mean like jump into the performance and don't think about it? No.
Jump off the plank into the water.
I think there are sharks down there.
Cut cut cut! Cut.
You won the division final.
You won state.
We're this close to getting Austin to play Times Square on New Year's Eve.
But Coach, our star quarterback tore his ACL in the first quarter.
And we're down 3,000 miles from New York.
Cut! Do we really think me playing Times Square works as a sports movie? Yes! Keep going.
I don't wanna hear excuses! You can't win if you don't play.
Now get out there and give me 110%! It's mathematically impossible to give more than 100%.
But I'll do my best, Coach.
Guys, this whole scene just seems a little forced.
Cut! What's forced about it? Me and Ally being on the same team.
Clearly, she's not sure she wants to play football with me.
Austin, come on.
If you don't let this thing go between you and Ally, we're never gonna finish the film.
Sorry.
I wish it didn't bother me so much.
But I can't get over that she kept such a big secret from me.
What's the big deal?! You kept a bigger secret from her.
You did? What secret did you keep from me? Uh uh that he feeds his vegetables to his dog under his table.
He doesn't have a dog.
He kept that from you too? When will the secrets end?! I'm so sorry.
Dez, knock it off.
Spill it, Austin.
Okay.
After you got over your stage fright, and your career was taking off I met with another songwriter.
What? Why would you do that? Because you were busy and I needed a song.
I can't believe you, Austin.
You were mad at me, and you had a secret this whole time.
It's no big deal.
I just wanted to make sure I had a songwriter when I needed one.
How can you say it's no big deal? I just had a little doubt.
You were thinking about replacing me.
Yeah, Austin! You were only worried about yourself! It's all about you! You know, not everyone's that self-centered.
Dez, did you get this on film? I'm gonna look great in this movie! Good morning, actors! Nothing like a good night's sleep to help you forget all the reasons why you're mad at someone.
I haven't forgotten.
I'm still mad at him for meeting with another songwriter.
And I'm still mad at her for not wanting to be my partner.
Hmm.
So what I'm hearing is that you both didn't get enough sleep.
You guys better snap out of this.
I promised Jimmy Starr a rock-umentary, not a "you both are acting like spoiled brats"-umentary.
Yeah, how am I gonna fit that on the poster? Let's just rehearse.
We're gonna read through the next scene and then shoot it.
Fade in.
Ally's charity event is about to be a total bust when Austin rushes in to save the day.
Ally hurries over with gratitude in her eyes.
And action, Ally.
Thank you for saving me, Austin.
Thank you, thank you Thank you.
Do we really need dialogue here? Sometimes a look says all the words for you.
Yeah, that look says a lot of words that I can't put in the movie.
It's a family film.
Since you guys clearly can't get your acts together, we're gonna have to take extreme measures.
I love love! 'Sup? No one's gonna believe you're us.
People believe anything in movies.
You think cars can actually talk? My Mom's car does.
It even gives us directions to places.
Turn left in 200 feet.
What scene are you gonna do? We're gonna shoot the scene where you guys have one day to write a song.
- You mean for the "Helen show"? - No.
You mean for Austin's first performance in the Mall? No.
You mean for the "hot summer jam" contest? - No.
- You mean for the time when Man, there were a lot of times you guys had one day to write a song.
Yeah, when this movie's over, we really need to work on your time management.
Okay.
Can we shoot this thing? And action! Hey, Austin.
Hey, Ally.
We only have 24 hours to write a song, or the evil Dr.
Starr will destroy the Earth.
This looks like a job for Rocker Boy and Writer Girl! What do you think of this chord? I hate it.
Well, what's your brilliant idea? I've got this great lyric.
Boom.
Holy rotten song lyric, Rocker Boy! That stinks.
We've got nothing.
The Earth is doomed.
To the song-mobile! That's awful.
Yeah, it's hard watching yourselves fight, huh? No, it's awful watching you guys pretend to be us.
Yeah, well, I think it's awful watching you guys act this way.
I'm gonna say something to you that I've heard from every one of my bosses.
"Quit sleeping on the job! You're being unprofessional!" Only the second part applies to you.
Fine.
I can be professional.
I don't know about him.
I can be more professional than she can.
So there.
Very mature.
I think you just proved I'm more professional than you.
- But - And I got the last word! La la la la la la You can't say "la la la" forever! But I can! La la la la la la la I have a strange feeling they're not gonna be professional.
I'm really worried about this movie.
I'm really worried about Austin and Ally.
They've never been this mad at each other before.
What if they never make up? Then our movie's gonna have a really sad ending.
Okay, we need to come up with a plan to remind them why they're partners and friends to begin with.
I got it! We should shoot the scene where Austin helps Ally overcome her stage fright.
Yeah! There's no way they can sing that duet and still be mad at each other.
La la la la la la la La la la la la la la Okay, guys, you ready? Okay, remember, we're shooting this scene in the style of a teen Vampire movie.
And don't forget, this is one of the happiest moments in the Austin and Ally story.
This should be really easy for you guys to get through.
I'm not worried about it.
I'm more not worried about it.
Okay, that's almost what we're looking for.
Let's shoot this, Dez.
Austin, you're a Vampire.
And all you wanna do is protect her.
And you're not a Vampire.
But you wanna be one.
But sometimes you wanna be a Werewolf.
But forget that.
You're into the Vampire.
Lights! And And Action! Austin.
I don't know if can perform.
There's so many People.
Will you be there to protect me? Always.
And I mean like always always.
Because I'm a Vampire and I live forever.
When you're on your own drowning alone.
And you need a rope that can pull you in.
Someone will throw it.
And when you're afraid that you're gonna break.
And you need a way to feel strong again.
Someone will know it.
And even when it hurts the most, try to have a little hope.
That someone's gonna be there when you don't.
When you don't.
If you wanna cry I'll be your shoulder.
If you wanna laugh I'll be your smile.
If you wanna fly I will be your sky.
Anything you need that's what I'll be.
You can come to me.
You can come to me.
Yeah-ah.
I did it.
I conquered my stage fright.
I always knew you could do it.
I feel like I can do anything.
I know I can do anything As long as I'm with you.
Perfect! We got it.
Cut! I said cut! Okay, you can stop kissing now.
Well, I guess our plan worked.
They don't seem mad at each other anymore.
They don't, do they? Ally, I'm so sorry I met with another songwriter.
I knew your career was taking off, and I thought you'd leave me.
Aw.
Austin I'll always be here for you.
I'm sorry I ever doubted our partnership.
It's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
So we're good? Yeah.
Sorry to interrupt your moment, but what the heck was that kiss about? Uh It's called acting.
Yeah, that looked like a lot more than just Acting.
I told you we could be professional.
It was for the movie man.
Yeah.
Just for the movie, man.
You're a really good actor, Austin.
You too, Ally.
- Well, bye.
- See ya.
I don't know, Trish.
We shot dozens of scenes already.
Trust me, neither one of them is that good of an actor.
