Okay, so you fought back? Oh, yeah, I fought back.
I'm not blaming you for anything.
- No, I fought back because - Let me see, is there any other marks on you? Right here.
Got a little bit of lump there.

I never meant to hurt her.
I'm okay now.
I just want to go to bed.
You're probably gonna take me to jail, whatever, you know Well, you took Why did you get all the knives - out and say? - For myself.
For your protection? No.
Okay, so why'd you get the knives out, is what Is it illegal to have a knife? No, it's not.
I didn't threaten her.
If you didn't do anything wrong and you weren't threatening anybody, why'd you run? You know, I really don't have an answer for that.
Are you-you from Oregon? No, sir.
You look familiar to me.
Hey, sometimes you mess up a little bit.
But I didn't threaten nobody.
I didn't do anything to be arrested.
Well, if you were just hanging out in your backyard Go look at her face-- did I hit her? If you didn't do anything wrong, why did you run? All right, I-I'm sorry, guys.
Just charge me what you're gonna charge me with.
I didn't do nothing.
I was mad.
I didn't threaten her.
I didn't threaten you.
I wasn't gonna hurt anybody, and she knows that, she'll tell you that.
If she don't, she don't, well, whatever.
You know, I'm sorry.
I love her, man.
I love her.
Just like you love your wife.
- I didn't hit her - I never said I was married.
I didn't hit her.
I didn't beat her.
All right, what do you say we get you in the car.
Whatever you want to do.
Get up.
- My underwear.
My pants - You ain't got no underwear.
I know.
You guys So, is she saying I did something? Just have a seat.
Okay, I will, no problem.
Can I get my keys, or? No.
Just pull your pants up, sit down.
Okay, so, tonight you're being charged with a domestic violence for the threats that you made with the knife.
Okay? I didn't make no threats.
I didn't threaten nobody.
And you're also being charged with ru uh, with obstructing because you ran from us.
Okay, but I didn't threaten to stab her.
Well, that's-that's the way the call came in.
There were knives on the ground.
And then when we showed up, you ran.
Okay? Okay.
All right.
You understand all that? Yes, sir, I do.
- Please get me there quick and - We'll do what we can.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
We are responding to the report of a hazard.
Uh evidently there's a, uh, full-sized zebra wandering around the area.
Supposedly it's been in and out of traffic.
We are, uh, running at a traffic break trying to keep all vehicles away from the zebra to keep the zebra safe.
Um, we have other units in front of the zebra attempting to conduct a traffic break for oncoming traffic as well.
We have, uh, several law enforcement officers in the patrol vehicles escorting the zebra, and he's continuing to run down fair oaks boulevard.
Well, we just received an update that this, uh, zebra was recently spooked and scared by, uh, some dogs.
Uh, he's thought to be very feral, uh, possibly would damage property or injure a person, um, so they just want us to keep our distance from it.
The individual in front of us in this next vehicle is the trainer, and he's trying to lasso the, uh, the zebra.
There he is.
Let's get out.
I'm gonna get out over here and try and block these bushes off.
Go, go, go.
At this point, we've, uh, trapped the zebra in the backyard of a residence, and we're giving it some time to relax and chill out.
I'm gonna kind of survey what our fence situation here is.
According to the trainer, the zebra would have no problem going right through a fence.
And he is pretty amped up.
He doesn't want it completely blocked off because he says it'll go through the fence or - over the cars or whatever, so - Uh-oh.
Huy, huy! Well, he got the lasso on.
Hey, Thomas Okay.
It looked like for a moment there, the trainer got the lasso on the head of the zebra, but there was no way he was gonna be able to hold on to it.
That zebra is very strong and very fast.
It looks like the zebra's out front.
This thing is, uh, is getting really excited, and it looks like he might be turning around even.
Psh, psh, psh, psh.
Why don't we bring some cars up-- plug this hole? Okay, everybody block this-- swing all the cars in here! - Uh, we're gonna - Go inside! Now! Go inside! It's a feral zebra! Wild animal! This is gonna be bad if he runs around this corner fast.
This is so bad.
Okay, here it is.
Huy, huy! Hyah! Okay.
Huy, huy! Psh, psh! Huy, huy! Oy-hyah! Hyah! Most interesting day of your job? So, it looks like we've been able to keep him confined in this back section.
Go into the pool.
Good boy.
There you go! The gate's just to your right.
There you go.
Go left.
Go right.
Go right in there.
At this point, my partner is trying to coax him into the pool area.
Go on! Go on! That way! You know, I-I think we should just try to stop trying to rope him, uh, because that-that horse is just gonna drag him, and it's one thing to get drug on dirt.
- It's another thing to get drug on the concrete by a - True.
By a feral zebra.
A feral, upset zebra.
Yes.
Oh.
He already tried to take me out, like, three times.
- Man, he's got you - Into the water! Good girl! Shh.
Good girl! Okay, guys, back off.
Back off.
Good girl! Get her, get her! You're in now, baby.
There ain't no way out.
We're over here.
You got it? Want to go this way? No, no, no, no.
Come over here, come over here.
We want to keep her away from that wood.
She's gonna clear it, isn't she? What have we done now, guys? She'll be able to clear the fence, guys, so just watch it.
- Uh, I don't know - Oh! was such a good idea.
She's gonna swim down to the low end.
Is he all right? Yeah.
They can swim.
She's getting to the stairs.
She's gonna get out of it.
Stay there, it's a hot day.
She's just gonna swim around for a little bit.
She needed that.
You're not gonna be able to get in there and save her.
- He's not gonna be able to pull her out by the - No.
Do you want me to pull the car up to the gate right over here and anchor the end of this thing at the gate so we don't lose the end, or? I don't know what you guys want to do; it's your choice.
Why don't you tie it off that metal post? Who's the trailer driver? Would you, uh, get prepared to bring in? Mm.
Come on, come on! Come on, girl.
Give her a little slack.
Let her catch her breath.
Let her catch her breath.
Give her slack.
Give her a little slack.
Give it to her.
She's going to trip.
There we go, there we go! Oh, baby.
Let's just let her catch her breath.
Perfect.
We got the trailers in now.
Do you want to walk her down to the trailer or get the trailer over here? No, no, no.
We want to get the trailer close.
Back off the rope a little bit.
Watch yourself.
Shh! Hold on, hold on! Hang on! - Take the slack.
- Okay.
You got the slack? You got it? You got it? Oh.
No! Keep going that way, sweetheart.
That way! Whoa.
That way, sweetheart.
They kick.
- Watch the rear end.
- Careful.
All in all, successful, though.
We got it-- we didn't hurt him, none of our people got hurt.
Um, yeah, we used a little bit of resources, but it is what it is.
That's, uh, kind of the name of the game.
You never know what's gonna happen when you show up for work.
I've been a Portland police officer altogether for about nine years now.
On my off time, I like to play rugby.
I'm on a men's team here in the Portland area.
I find that it really helps me get away from the job, and go out and run around and have fun.
Reporting a guy trying to throw rocks at him.
An Asian male, mid-20s, heavyset, black t-shirt and dark shorts The guy with the rock.
We're heading to a disturbance call right up the street here.
It sounds like there's a guy chasing a female and a male around with a rock.
And it sounds like one of the guys was hiding in the yard around here.
There you go.
He's outrunning 'em.
Is that him running? - Yeah - He just threw something.
Did he? - That guy - Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Yep.
Oh, yeah.
Stop.
What's he, what are you chasing for? Put that down.
Put that down, right now.
What's going on? Go sit on the curb.
Go sit on the curb.
with him above 205.
Get, sit down on the curb.
What's the problem today? He beat up my brother.
He beat up your brother? Why did he beat up your brother? I don't know.
What's that? I don't know.
- You want to go talk to him? - Yep.
All right, man, what's going on? I was going down the street and he threw the soda at me.
I don't know where the soda's at.
Let's not worry about the soda.
What's going on between you two? Nothing.
He seems to know you.
No, I live at that house.
He came back at you again.
I live at that house.
- Okay.
- I was trying to go home.
You've never seen that guy before? I think he lives across the street.
Okay.
There's like a gang of them over there.
Do you know his brother or anything like that? - No, I don't - Okay, do you have anything on you? Any weapons like that? - No.
- You mind if I check? Put 'em back.
Put them on top of your head.
Tip of your feet.
Okay.
And that's your girlfriend right there? Yeah.
Okay, so you've never seen this guy before? No.
You're sure? I think he lives across the street.
There's just a bunch of islanders living on that street.
Okay.
That's it.
And so what everything happened today? I came out the house, I walked over here, and he came at me.
So I started running.
I ran over there.
Those guys can tell you.
I ran into the yard to hide from him, you know? I don't want any problems with him.
Then you were coming back, and then he saw you again? Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I started running that way.
I saw you.
You didn't see me? I did.
Yeah, I don't want any conflict with him.
I don't want problems with him, man.
I already know that he's crazy.
So did he beat up your brother so bad that you needed to chase him with a stick and a rock down the street? Yeah.
Yeah? What were you gonna do if you caught him? - I wasn't gonna beat him up - You weren't So you were just gonna, like, catch him with that big rock and the stick in your hand, and then not do anything to him? No, I was just trying to scare him.
Just trying to scare him? What's going on? - So apparently - Ma'am, can you just have a seat right there? I'll talk to you in a second.
Apparently this guy beat up his brother a couple nights ago.
I guess he wanted some revenge today.
And this guy's telling me he doesn't even know who this guy is.
He "thinks" he might live in the apartment over there, but he's never seen him before.
Okay.
When you first saw this guy, where was it? We're walking this way, he's walking this way, and he had a can, and a some shit in his hands, and he threw the can at us.
Okay.
And he took off running.
I took off the other way, and he kept following me "Where the fuck is he? Where the fuck is he? I'm gonna kill him.
I'm gonna kill you, too, bitch.
" Then he just kept following me.
I just walked around the block.
Okay.
- And he just kept - Where did you see the rock that you told me about? I don't know.
I just looked back and he had a rock, and he had a bunch - of shit in his hands - He did have a rock? He had a rock, and he had other shit in his hands.
All right.
Hang tight.
Hello.
You called? Did you see everything that was happening? Yeah, I'm washing the car in the lot, um, younger guy came running in the lot, he said, "hey, there's a guy with a rock, he's gonna hit me with it.
" I was like, uh he's like, "I just need to hide in your lot.
" Uh, he's like, "just let me hide, let me hide.
" The he dipped behind one of the trucks there, and came walking in with a rock and that, like I said, he was like, "where is he? Where is he?" No one's here, man.
I was like, get, get, get, get.
- So he went taking off and - And you called police? - Yeah, and then my boss called the cops and - Okay.
- You guys showed up.
- Well right on.
Thanks.
Hang tight, okay? Come here.
Come talk to me.
You know that fella down there? Who? The one sitting down far with, like, the brown shirt? Yeah.
Who is he to you? Did you get in a fight with him within the last two weeks? Did that, ask him if that guy down there beat him up a couple of weeks ago? Yeah? What happened? Punched my face.
Okay.
All right.
Sit tight.
Let's, let's cuff him.
I think it's discon and menacing if they want to be victims.
And just write in the report that this came about because that fella punched him a couple weeks ago.
What they're telling me, these guys that are coming up, they're saying that you did get in a fight.
You punched him.
What?! A couple of weeks ago.
Not a couple days ago, a couple weeks ago.
Couple weeks ago? - Okay, hey - I live right across the street, man.
I'm getting four people telling me now, okay? Dude, I mean, those are his buddies.
- I'm not saying that makes it right - You know? I'm not saying it makes it right for what he did today, but I'm telling you is We talked to them separately, and that's what they said.
All right? I want to let you know.
They might have mistaken me for somebody else.
Okay, well, that's four people mistaking you for the wrong person then.
Man, those are his buddies.
- We didn't - If my buddies came up, I'm pretty sure they'd say the same thing, too.
I mean, I don't know.
All right.
Have a seat.
Watch your head.
Careful here.
All right, man.
You're being charged with disorderly conduct, and menacing.
You understand that? All right.
This could do some damage.
Yeah.
Yeah, there was definitely no question of who our suspect was, running down the street in the middle of Prescott, here.
He said he wasn't gonna do anything to them when he caught them.
He was just trying to scare them.
