Hello?
[Viima] Hi. Hey, Sakke said
he couldn't get a hold of you,
so I thought if I tried
This face-off crap
and dumbass joke videos.
The whole club
and coming back to Finland
has all been a big fucking mistake.
That's a little dramatic.
What about Drastic? Is that a mistake too?
- Aren't you doing all of this for that?
- All wasted if Ranta isn't there.
She will be.
Ranta gets so much shit
since the HIDF's so out of touch.
And the club and, um, dance battle
are the opposite.
HIDF's mission is
to promote dance culture in a wider sense,
so you guys are exactly what they need.
I can't lose this, Viima.
It's everything.
Maybe losing would be
something good for you.
You're fucking clueless.
[gasping for breath]
[agitated, distressing music builds]
[gasp echoing]
Roni?
Are you all right?
Roni?
[high-pitched ringing]
Roni, hey, breathe.
Try to relax and breathe.
Roni?
Remember when we were
at the street dance camp in the north?
[calming music builds]
I imagine lying there in the snow
and watching the snow fall,
and I just breathe.
In and out.
In and out.
[breathing shakily]
Would you like me to come over?
[Roni] No.
[line disconnects]
You're welcome.

- Mmm, hey, Karo Karo isn't here.
- [Angelo] Hi.
Oh, right.
Okay.
[Angelo] It's gonna be a big night.
How are you feeling?
Are you scared?
Well, yeah.
Roni's missing. I can't reach him.
I'm getting a bit anxious here.
- Okay.
- Go ahead and have a beer, if you want.
[Angelo clears throat]
Has Karo said anything to you?
Is there
trouble in paradise?
No, no. I was just wondering.
Hey, it's totally normal you're nervous.
You wanna win.
I don't even think
competition and dancing mix well,
and this whole situation,
it it feels wrong,
because nothing good has ever come from
me and Roni
fighting or competing over anything.
So fuck the competition, right?
People vote however they want anyway,
so why worry?
It's about fun.
[Angelo grunts]
Good point.
And knowing Karo,
you just have to put on a good show,
and she'll open up.
[Angelo chuckles]
[whistles]
[Doris] Are you ready?
Yeah!
[audience whooping]
Whoo!
Who's gonna win?
Fire or Ice?
Blue thumbs up for Ice, AKA Roni!
And red hearts for Fire,
AKA Sakari!
Okay, brothers and sisters,
let the battle begin.
[Finnish rap song playing]
[Roni] Hey, okay, okay!
You're mid.

Fire!
[crowd cheering]

Hey, there you are.
If Sakke hadn't goofed around,
you would've easily won.
- Viima, I don't need you to console me.
- Okay. Should I tell Ranta the same thing?
What did she say?
That, um, at least there is
something of interest around here.
What What else did she say?
She's coming to rehearsal Monday.
And hey, before that, I suggest
that you practice being less of a dick.
So, this choreography
that you're offering up
isn't relevant to the Fire-Ice concept?
It's much more ambitious.
Fire vs. Ice was nonsense.
Exposition is Drastic's premiere work,
composed of three dancers.
Totally different dynamic.
And, no offense, Viima,
you're one of the best,
but if I've been sold Fire vs. Ice,
then what are you, exactly?
Well, I guess, a lukewarm puddle
or something like that.
So So are you only considering
a duet for HIDF, or
Or, hey, what what if we just perform
what we've been rehearsing?
Right? Yeah.
[Ranta] This demo of yours
was quite clever.
But where does it go from there?
[Roni] I have a clear vision, and
[Ranta] Let Sakari tell me.
I'm confident I can answer any question.
I'm interested in other's thoughts,
so please, Sakari, how would you proceed?
Well, this does have the themes
of coming together and empathy,
and so I think it would be cool
if the audience would have
a chance to dance as well.
Yeah, that's audience participation.
[Sakari] Yeah, like creating a safe space
where each of them can be themselves.
- [Viima] Yeah.
- [Roni] No.
I thought it a rather intriguing idea.
Worth a try. Still, the choreography,
even technique, suggest inexperience.
And yet, there was something special
between the two of you.
But I was still left missing something
from yesterday, that electricity,
so something was amiss here.
[sweeping music builds]
I'll give you a spot in the program.
Not because of this demo,
but because Fest's board
is breathing down my neck
to reach a younger audience.
I believe you can sell tickets.

to work like hell to polish this turd
into a gold nugget worthy of HIDF.

That possibly it's a little uneven.
No.
Our partnership is
