Roach Coach

1 The stunts you're about to see were all designed And supervised by trained professionals.
They are extremely dangerous And should not be attempted by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
- It all began ten years ago At the dawn of reality television.
- I hate this! - Audiences had never seen anything like it.
- Just try to stay calm.
- I don't think I can do this.
- Now the legend begins All over again.
- [screams.]
- It's bigger - That's crazy! - Badder.
- [screams.]
- And more intense than ever before.
- It's so hard.
- Welcome back Fear factor.
- Fear factor's back and it's crazier than ever.
All: [cheering.]
- Crazy.
[truck horn blares.]
- [screams.]
- [screams.]
- Oh, damn! - [screams.]
- Grab it and eat it, eat it! - [screams.]
- [cries.]
- [choking.]
- [screams.]
- Four teams.
Three stunts.
One winner.
Fear factor.
- You know, eight years ago I tried out for fear factor.
But I had to drop out to go play some football.
I got picked up by the 49ers.
And I said let's do it.
- We're jersey girls, But we're not like, fist-pumping tool bags.
We're like, cool, down-to-earth girls with great booties.
- Being a jersey girl, you're down for anything.
- Yeah, louis and I were both cheerleaders.
You can't judge a book by its cover.
Not one of us is going to be prissy throughout this thing.
You know, we're going to man up and, uh, we're prepared.
They're not.
- I run my own company.
I party like a wild man.
I'm great at pulling chicks.
And together, we are going to win this thing.
- Hello, hello.
[overlapping greetings.]
- What's up, everybody? How you doing? Welcome.
Nice to meet everybody.
Who's winning this thing? - Whoo! - Right here.
- Everyone? You were the slowest to put your hand up.
Where'd you two freaks meet? - Oh, at work.
[laughs.]
- What about you guys? Where do you guys know each other from? - We actually met in college.
- Yeah, college.
- Yeah, at cheerleading tryouts.
- You guys are cheerleaders? - [laughs.]
- yeah, we're cheerleaders.
We were cheerleaders, like, five years ago.
- For real? - Yeah, yeah.
- So what made you guys decide to be cheerleaders? - Chicks! - The ladies.
Definitely, yeah.
- See, but you know you'll only get the ones That the football players don't get.
- No, no-- - it's actually the opposite Way around, believe it or not.
- What school was this? - What school? Exactly, exactly.
What about you guys? - We met in church when we were kids.
- You met in church when you were kids.
- And now we're together forever.
- Forever, married? - Engaged.
- Going to be.
- Well, if you guys win fear factor, Can we lock down a date? - I think so.
- That's a definite.
- And you guys have a child together? - Yep.
- We do.
- How old's your kid? - He's 13 months.
- Aw - My little man.
- You guys ready for this? All: Yeah! - All right.
You four teams have been brought here From all over the country For one reason-- To stare fear in the eye as you compete for $50,000.
All: [cheering.]
- To win the money, You will have to complete three extreme stunts-- Stunts that will test you not only physically, But mentally as well.
- No problem! - No problem.
- If you are too afraid to attempt a stunt, You'll be eliminated.
You try a stunt but fail to do as well as your opponents, You're gone.
But if you do succeed, you will move on to the next round And be that much closer to the cash.
Here is your first stunt.
One of you will be bound to the walls of that cage And then submerged underwater.
- Whoa! - Oh! - The person in the cage will be holding their breath And experiencing what it feels like to drown.
Your partner will have to dive in and cut you loose.
You will then both have to unscrew those wing nuts To open up the cage door and get free.
You will then both swim over to those flags to stop the clock.
- Wow.
- Right! - The team that does this The slowest today will be eliminated.
Any team that fails to complete this stunt Will also be eliminated.
But the team that does this the fastest Will get to pick tomorrow's order.
We have randomly selected today's order.
Antonella and jenna, you guys are lucky number one.
- Oh, yes.
- Oh, you're up! - It's all right.
We got this.
- You got this? - Yeah.
- No problem? - No problems.
- And you guys are from jersey? - Yeah, represent.
- I'm from jersey too.
Holla! - Yes! - I was born in newark.
You guys ready to do this? - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Come with me, come on.
- Good luck! - See you! - Good luck! - So, ladies, this doesn't freak you out at all? - I mean, a little bit, But that's part of the rush, you know? - Well, who's going to do what, And how did you guys decide? - Well, we strategized that I might be the one Who will panic less while tied up And she's just, bam, going to go rip it apart.
- Yeah? - Yeah, no, I'm not scared.
I think it's gonna be pretty-- - Now, I know you guys have good lungs 'cause you're singers, right? - Yeah.
- You operate a singing telegram business? - Exactly-- honestly-- - Do you guys have a song for this? - Five, six, seven-- Both: if your mother, sister, brother's feeling blue or you wanna tell somebody I love you there's only one thing you can do call in the jingle bells to sing a snazzy tune - I didn't hear any fear factor in that.
- Day two.
- How do we know you're gonna be here for day two? - Come on, that's not a question.
- We know.
- Good luck to you.
- Thank you, sir.
- High five.
- Thanks.
- Muchas gracias.
- [laughs.]
- All right, these girls are super confident.
Maybe overconfident.
- First I was like, all right, these girls are pretty tiny.
They've probably got the lung capacity of like a chipmunk, You know--then I find out they're singers, so - Yeah, the lungs can only help them so much.
They still have to cut the rope.
They still have to take the wing nuts off.
- How you feel? - Ready.
- [exhales.]
[tense music.]
- Antonella is locked up.
She's in the cage.
- Here we go, here we go.
- Now I'm scared.
[laughs.]
- And jenna is ready to dive in and rescue her.
All right, jenna, you ready? - I'm ready.
- Antonella, you ready? - Ready! - In three TwoOne, go! - [cheering.]
- All right, it's lowering.
- Oh, man.
- There it goes.
- No breath, no breath.
- She's underneath, she's struggling.
- Yeah, she's struggling, she's struggling.
- Antonella's gonna run out of breath.
She's under! She needs to take another breath.
That was quick.
That was only a few seconds.
- Oh, man.
- She's having trouble.
Looks like antonella's Gonna have to hold her breath for a long time.
- Antonella's under! - She still doesn't have one cut.
She doesn't even have one cut! She came up again.
Go, go, go, go, go! Get under there! Get it! - Losing the goggles.
- Antonella's holding her breath And she keeps coming up for air.
She keeps coming up-- what are you doing? Oh, she's quitting.
She quits.
- Oh, that's too bad.
- Oh, my goodness.
- She lost? - 45 seconds, she quit.
- She lost it.
- Jenna quit.
- I tried.
I couldn't get it.
- Panic! - Yeah.
- It's real! - That makes me a little bit more nervous Than I was just about ten seconds ago.
- Wow.
- Should we do, like, a farewell cheer? Like, good job? Like, good try? - I thought you were gonna come back down.
I had plenty of breath left.
- I just couldn't keep my goggles on.
I co-- every time I went in-- - I thought you were gonna ditch them And then go with your eyes open.
How come you didn't come back down? - Sorry, dude.
- That sucks.
- Jenna! What happened? Why'd you quit? - I--I was scared for my friend.
- Are you disappointed in her at all? - I'm disappointed that that happened, yeah.
- Do you wish that you had switched positions? - I kinda do.
- [laughing.]
- all right.
Well, it was very nice meeting you girls.
- Take care.
Bye-bye.
- Good job.
- Later.
Take care! - See ya.
All: Bye! - It really is disappointing to walk away Knowing that you could have done it.
- It sucked to walk away, But they got really great shots of our booties, So what is there to complain about? - Zuleika and raman, you guys are next.
What did you learn from watching these ladies? - Not to quit? [laughs.]
- How are you guys gonna work it out? Is the male gonna rescue the female? Is that how you're gonna do it? - No.
- She's rescuing me.
- Really? - Yeah.
- Why'd you decide that? - She grew up in the ocean.
- Do you guys have relationships Outside of this friendship? - Yeah.
- Yeah.
- You have a girlfriend? You have a boyfriend? - I don't have a boyfriend-- - I have multiple girlfriends.
- Oh, snap! Someone's a partier, someone's a player! - Big player, that's why he's in the cage.
- Let's get the fastest time here and pick tomorrow's order.
- Ye-yah! - Sounds perfect.
- Get out there and go get some.
- Good luck, guys.
- Go get 'em.
- Go get some.
All right, what do you think? - Now, do you think these guys have an advantage? - Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make it though.
- Yeah, their time might affect them.
- It's a difficult stunt.
- We could have some serious failure here today.
- Yeah, absolutely.
- This is tough.
- Mind starts playing tricks on you.
- Bye.
- Oh, and it's up.
- All right, here we go.
Raman, how you feeling up there man? - I feel fantastic, never felt better.
- In three TwoOne, go! - Oh, she dove in that water easy.
She can swim.
- Yeah, look at that.
- You can tell that girl can swim.
He's under.
Note how much longer she's staying down Than that other girl.
- Yep.
- Oh, boy.
- She's having a little trouble with the cable cutters.
Big deep breaths.
The cage is fully submerged.
- She hasn't even got the first one yet.
- Raman is holding his breath this whole time.
- That's it.
- She's really struggling.
I don't know how much longer He's gonna be able to hold his breath.
- [muffled speech.]
- Oh, wow.
Zuleika, remember you have to dive in there, Cut him free, then you both have to unscrew the wing nuts And swim over to the flags to stop the clock.
The cage is fully submerged.
- She hasn't even gotten the first one yet.
- Raman is holding his breath this whole time.
- She's really struggling.
I don't know how much longer He's gonna be able to hold his breath.
- [muffled speech.]
- Oh, he quit, raman quit! - [gasping.]
- they quit! - Uh-oh, uh-oh, somebody might get fired.
- Oh, wow.
- Ah, why'd you quit? - Oh, my god.
I was out of air.
- Oh, raman, I hate you right now! - [gasping.]
- Zuleika, raman - It's not easy.
- Nice try, guys.
- What happened, guys? What happened? - I was cutting through the rope, So while I'm doing that, that's when he gave up.
So if he would have held his breath for just Not even a second more, I would have stopped and he would have-- - It was probably about one or two more seconds And we would have been fine.
- He gave up on me.
- Wow, you gave up on her, dude.
This is the end of the line.
Take care.
Adios.
- Bye, guys.
- Are we gonna have a full failure day today? - No, absolutely not.
- What's going on, boys? - No? You sure? - I'm not in his mind, So I don't know what he was feeling, But it's just such a shame That I was halfway through the rope.
I'm so disappointed.
- Now, louis and james, you guys are next.
- We're gonna bring it.
- What did you guys learn Watching two teams in a row fail? - Just no excuses.
- Don't quit! - Did you learn that becoming a national champion cheerleader? - Yeah, definitely.
- I learned that from you, joe rogan.
- Really? - [laughs.]
- Are you gonna show america What male cheerleaders are really all about? - Absolutely.
- Absolutely, yeah.
- We need to represent the male cheerleader status quo.
- Good luck.
Good luck.
Fastest time picks tomorrow's order.
- So what do you think our strategy is here, man? - Pure athleticism, you know what I mean? Just jump in there, we got muscles.
Girls don't, so let's get in there.
I'll be able to cut the cord and let you free.
As far as the wing nuts, you know You start off on top, I'll start bottom? - For sure, louie.
Yo, let's do this.
- You're a fan fear factor.
You were actually gonna be on it way back in the day.
- Yeah, I was.
Back in '03, I tried out.
But then another opportunity presented itself To go play some football.
- Where were you playing football for? - I got picked up by the 49ers.
- Okay, cool.
All right, gentlemen, are you ready? - Yeah! - We'll see.
- In three TwoOne, go! And he's under Now he's working it.
He cut the rope already.
That was fast! With that arm free, he can stand up and get more air Before it submerges.
He got the second one quick.
They're already on the wing nuts.
In a moment, that cage is gonna fully submerge.
Now this is a gut check.
James came up for air, but louis can't Because he's trapped in that cage.
Louie's been holding his breath a long time.
I don't think he can hold on much longer.
They've got it.
Now they gotta swim over to the flags And stop the clock.
- Hell yeah! - One, one more, get up there! Time! - [cheers.]
- 1:18, guys.
- That's how we do it! - Yeah! Oh, yeah! Who brings the party? - We bring the party! - [laughing.]
who brings the party? - We bring the party! - And when we bring the party-- Both: We bring it all the way down! - Is that a cheer? - We just made that up.
- Yeah, we just made it up.
- You might wanna rewrite it.
- [laughs.]
- Once I cut the ropes-- - mm-hmm.
- I'm gonna come up, take a breath, And I'm coming down for the bottom nuts.
You worry about the top nuts.
- Okay.
- Hopefully we'll have Enough time to where you can get your breath While I'm working the nuts down on the bottom.
- Okay.
- We gotta beat 'em.
I love you.
- Let's go, baby.
- Gentlemen, nicely done.
Very nicely done.
- Thank you, joe.
- Give me a prediction.
Are these guys gonna be able to do this? - Look at them--of course they're gonna be able to do it.
- [laughs.]
that guy is extremely fit.
She just had a kid like 12 months ago And she's like--pfft! - She has-- - Rock solid? - Rock solid, dude.
They got all the confidence in the world.
- We got it.
You're my beast.
- [laughs.]
- come on, baby.
- I got you.
Got your back, babe.
- All right, here we go.
The crane is moving her into position.
Bobby is waiting on the edge of the water.
All right, bobby and tia, are you ready? - Yes! - I'm gonna count you down! In three.
TwoOne, go! He knows how to swim.
Yep, his goggles came off.
- He's gotta put those back on, he's not gonna be able-- - He's already at the cage.
Oh, he freed her before he went under.
Bobby's fast.
- She's already turning.
- Aw - She's already turning! Smart strategy--he cut her! - Oh, they might-- they might have us! - They might have our time.
- You got it, tia.
- She's under.
Okay, the cage is fully submerged.
- Look at bobby, man.
- Bobby--stud.
- Intensity.
- Oh, no.
- They've gotta turn those wing nuts faster.
She's been holding her breath for a long time.
- They're taking time.
- She's gotta stay calm here.
She's in that cage.
There's three down there.
It's gonna take some time.
They left the bottom one for the end.
Not a good strategy.
She has been under for a minute.
She's gotta be struggling for her breath.
Whoa, he's up and she's still in there! She's up! - There's no way they beat our time.
- It's a race to the flag! Hurry up, hurry up! Time! - Whoo! - Nice.
- Whoo! - Whoo! I knew it.
- Come on over here, guys.
Welcome back in, bobby and tia.
- That's what I'm talking about.
- Nice, man, nice.
- Bobby, way to go, man.
- Your time to beat was 1:18.
You guys got 1:24, so - Yeah! - [cheers.]
- That's all right, that's okay.
- But the good news is it is now down to just two teams Competing for $50,000.
Louis and james, because you guys did the best today, You will get to pick the order in the next stunt.
- Yeah! All right, all right! - Congratulations to you two guys.
You proved that this was very doable But very difficult.
- Yeah! - Let's get out of here And see what we have in the next stunt for you.
- Let's do it.
[tense music.]
- Not only are we cheerleaders, But we're also kind of frat guys growing up.
We've been in the trenches doing weird stuff.
And bobby and tia, they're physically fit, But you can tell either of them Haven't eaten anything in a month.
So we're prepared, they're not.
- I think louie and james, they're nice guys, But we're here to destroy.
They're gonna be defeated.
- The guys, they have a hard challenge just against us.
Not even the stunt that's gonna be prepared for them, But going against us-- They're gonna have a tough day today.
- Oh, wow.
- Oh, no.
[tires screeching.]
- No.
- No! [overlapping comments.]
- No.
All: [groaning.]
- Here we go.

- Two to go, please.
All: [laugh.]
- Since there are only two teams left, No one is going to be eliminated today.

- They need to eat the roaches.
- The roaches.
- The roaches.
- A little more juice popping out of those roaches.
You know, grasshoppers seem a little more dry.
- Thanks, guys.
- There's a good possibility The roach might be pregnant too and you know, Carrying all those eggs or something.
- Just shoot out.
- One day you're gonna look back on this, And you're gonna laugh.
But not today! Today there'll be no laughing.
