Hangar 1: The UFO Files (2014) s01e02 Episode Script

Underground Bases

Dulce, New Mexico the location of a controversial incident that many believe may involve a conspiracy of secrecy and a possible murder Events all centered around a government contractor named Phil Schneider.
Phil Schneider was a geologist and a structural engineer.
He worked on many D.
U.
M.
B.
S Deep underground military bases.
In 1979, Schneider was assigned to build a new D.
U.
M.
B.
for the government in the southern end of Dulce near Kirkland air force base.
While drilling into the earth, drill bits repeatedly break, as though striking reinforced material.
Eventually, Schneider is lowered down into the crevice to investigate.
After Phil was lowered into the shaft, he claims he found himself in a preexisting underground structure.
In Phil's own words, "I was lowered down in a cage Think about this.
Phil Schneider drops into a hole, only to find himself in a fully formed underground facility and face-to-face with aliens.
What would you do? He instinctively pulled his sidearm.
He only had a walther ppk, and then he fired.
Schneider goes on to say that he finds himself in a firefight.
Schneider claims the extraterrestrial waved his hand over his chest and emitted a laser-like beam that shot out and burned through Schneider's out-turned hand, splitting apart his chest.
A Delta Force soldier suddenly appeared and sacrificed his life by shoving Phil into a cage that raised him to the surface.
Can you even imagine an underground firefight between aliens and U.
S.
soldiers, and here's Phil Schneider, an engineer, caught in the middle of it, and he has the scars to prove it.
Phil Schneider's story begs the question: could there be secret underground bases that may be concealing alien life and evidence of UFOs? MUFON opens its files right now.
The mutual UFO network, known as MUFON, is an independent organization not bound to any government.
They investigate reports of UFO sightings from around the world.
Over the past five decades, they have collected more than 70,000 files secured at a location known as Hangar 1.
Now, for the first time, MUFON is granting access to their vast archive.
These are the files of Hangar 1.
Examining the files inside Hangar 1, a startling possibility begins to emerge.
While we tend to look up in the sky for evidence of UFOs and extraterrestrial life, perhaps we should also look down, because within the files, there is documentation of secret, underground bases that may be hiding UFOs and alien activity.
Phil Schneider's story may sound like the stuff of science fiction.
And for 15 years, he remained silent.
Phil Schneider's security clearance prohibited him from talking about what he worked on publicly.
He knew that, if he did, he'd be breaking the law and putting his own life at risk.
But he felt this information needed to be shared because, as he said, "I care more about my country than my own life.
" MUFON files reveal that in 1995, soon after Schneider goes public, he suspects that he is being targeted.
He believed that shadow individuals and the government were making attempts on his life, trying to keep him from speaking out on this issue.
One time, his car lost a wheel and flipped over on the highway.
Phil later discovered that someone had sawed one of the lug nuts in half.
And then, on January 17, 1996, Phil Schneider is found dead in his Oregon apartment.
The cause of death is initially ruled a stroke, but, when Schneider's ex-wife is denied access to the body, she begins to suspect foul play and demands a thorough autopsy.
That autopsy would significantly change the coroner's report.
It's revealed that wrapped around Phil's neck was rubber catheter tubing.
The official cause of death was changed to suicide, but many people, including Phil's ex-wife, believe he was murdered.
The official cause of Phil Schneider's death remains a controversy, and some question if his death is connected to his claims of an underground alien presence.
There's a lot of people who say that there's nothing out there, although ground-penetrating radar indicates that there might have been.
-I think Phil Schneider is interesting.
I consider him a bit problematic in terms of some of the things he said.
On the other hand, the man was murdered.
In my opinion, there's no question about it that Phil Schneider was not a suicide.
Why would he be murdered? It doesn't make sense unless he had some credence in his basic story.
In spite of doubt surrounding Phil Schneider's story, there is in fact a long history of deep underground bases that goes back much further.
The capability to have a deep underground base or under-the-ocean-floor base absolutely has existed for a long time.
A history that is said to stretch as far back as world war ii to the heart of Nazi Germany.
It is known that the Germans had a number of underground bunkers.
They actually pioneered the whole idea of deep underground bases.
And it is believed that they may have had an underground research station in the antarctic.
Hangar 1 files contain the story of a U.
S.
naval expedition that battles a UFO, forcing a highly decorated admiral to turn his fleet around.
And another witness comes forward to support Phil Schneider's account of an alien base beneath Dulce, New Mexico.
The more than 70,000 files contained in Hangar 1 have now been opened for the first time.
One file reveals the incredible story of Phil Schneider.
He claimed that he had a violent encounter with extraterrestrials while deep inside a secret, underground base.
In 1996, less than a year after going public, he was found dead.
Is the base that Schneider described an isolated case, or could there be a pattern of underground bases throughout the U.
S.
and around the world? MUFON files reveal that the history of underground bases dates back to the Nazis and World War II.
They actually pioneered the whole idea of deep underground bases.
It is known that the Germans had a number of underground bunkers, and it is believed that they had an underground research station in the antarctic.
1946.
The U.
S.
Navy prepares an expedition to the frigid ice of Antarctica.
There are reports that their secret objective is to investigate the remnants of a Nazi base.
The expedition is named operation Highjump.
Operation Highjump is a U.
S.
Navy program that took place after World War II, involving a number of aircraft carriers, naval vessels, and small twin-engine airplanes that were brought on the naval vessels.
6,000 men were brought to Antarctica.
As the story goes, they were there to ferret out the last factions of the Nazi regime.
- Operation Highjump ia also documented by the KBG.
With the fall of the Soviet union, the kgb released previously classified UFO files.
When these Russian UFO files are declassified in 1991, new information was revealed about a U.
S.
expedition to Antarctica.
- Operation Highjump was organized and led by admiral Richard e.
Byrd, an American naval officer famous for his polar explorations.
Admiral Richard e.
Byrd was a pilot and polar explorer.
He served with the Navy for over 20 years in both world war I and World War II and was even a medal of honor recipient.
Byrd is leading the largest expedition the U.
S.
Has ever assembled to Antarctica, but as the fleet of operation Highjump approaches the German base, they encounter more than just Nazis.
In the declassified file by Soviet spies who were entrenched in operation Highjump, they reported that a UFO came out of the water at a 45-degree angle and flew at such tremendous speed that it was momentarily outside of the 250-mile radius that the radar had.
When it returned, a battle ensued.
In the battle, there were casualties.
And when we retreated, the craft also retreated.
Six weeks into the mission, they canceled it.
They packed up and went back to America.
If we hadn't retreated, the feeling on the ship was that that UFO would've sank our fleet.
The files contain additional information about admiral Byrd and operation Highjump, including reports that the admiral spoke to a south American journalist, reflecting on what he encountered that day.
A newspaper reporter personally interviewed admiral Byrd, and he stated that we would have to face an enemy that could travel from pole to pole at incredible speed.
"It is a bitter reality that, in the case of a new war, the continental United States could be attacked by flying objects which can fly from pole to pole at incredible speeds.
" What did admiral Byrd see when he was there that he could make the claim that there was a saucer-shaped vehicle that could travel from pole to pole at incredible speed? His diary is locked up at the Pentagon.
It's not allowed for anyone to see.
When you look back at this event, it appears that when our fleet got too close to that Nazi base, it was attacked by a UFO.
We can only assume that, for whatever reason, this UFO was defending that Nazi base.
Since World War II, rumors have persisted that Nazi Germany was the first nation to enter into a military extraterrestrial alliance.
If true, could this contact provide the Nazis with a military edge? It is now believed that the Nazis, during World War II, were working with many advanced technologies, including anti-gravity, and some of that technology may have been more advanced than what the Americans had.
They were doing all kinds of biological experiments on human beings, of course, we know.
And they were also doing very unusual types of physics.
Some of this physics appeared to have to do with propulsion technology.
We have stories of something called die glocke, the bell, a device that created a kind of electromagnetic field that seemed to be able to play with gravity and possibly even allow it to levitate.
It is unclear if the UFO and Antarctica is connected to Nazis, but this extraordinary incident is not isolated.
In fact, it mirrors other sightings of UFOs emerging from undersea bases, with one base said to be located very close to home.
There are documented reports indicating an underwater base near Catalina island.
We know that the United States Navy, in the mid-late 1960s, commissioned an artist actually to draw sketches of a hypothetical under-ocean installation, so then under the ocean floor.
Does an undersea base exist off the coast of California? Hangar 1 files reveal what may be hidden there.
And is there another secret underground base hidden in plain sight beneath the Denver international airport? MUFON files reveal a pattern of possible underground bases across the globe, including what some say was a Nazi base in Antarctica.
But some of the most extraordinary reports are right here in America, with one underwater base said to be just off the coast of Southern California.
There are some very good documented reports indicating that there may, in point of fact, be an underwater base near Catalina island.
We know that the united states Navy, in the mid-late 1960s, commissioned an artist actually to draw sketches of a hypothetical under-ocean installation, so then under the ocean floor.
And whether they built this or not, we don't know, but the fact is that they didn't really see that this was an outrageous proposition.
The cost was well within their means.
The capability was there.
Really, the only issues that you have to have a permanent, undersea, clandestine base is oxygen and energy.
And the oxygen's no big deal.
We know how to extract oxygen from the water.
We've been able to do that for the last 50 years.
That's how nuclear submarines can stay under the water for months at a time.
And then the other thing is energy.
Well, if you have either a small nuclear source of energy, there you go.
Or if you can get a geothermal source of energy from the earth, you're all set.
We've got reports of scuba divers and people on the coast of Catalina island who've seen flying saucers pop out of the ocean, hover there for 60 seconds, and then fly away at a high rate of speed.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing craft emerge from the ocean, hover just above the waves, and then launch smaller flying saucers, and then 60 seconds later, the whole thing submerges.
And there's a long history of uso cases within the Catalina island area.
It goes back years.
This one witness tells a story of driving along the coast when he sees a large, glowing cylindrical object.
He watches it, and it suddenly takes a nose dive into the water.
It doesn't make any sound, doesn't make any splash, and as it goes below the surface, it leaves a green, luminescent trail.
Mysterious UFO sightings continue to fuel rumors of an undersea base near Catalina.
But some underground bases are not secret at all, although their purpose may not be so clear.
The best-known underground base in the U.
S.
is housed within Cheyenne mountain in Wyoming.
Cheyenne mountain complex is a nuclear bunker that was created during the cold war.
It was excavated out of a granite mountain designed to withstand a 30-megaton nuclear explosion and extends over five acres tunneled inside the mountain.
When you enter Cheyenne mountain, you will be greeted by a long road.
Further down that road, you'll be greeted by a very thick steel door, blast plates connected Embedded withinside that door, hardened steel pins that could take a nuclear strike directly on the mountain itself.
We're told by many, many sources it's just gargantuan, clearly with their own infrastructure.
The main chambers create a rectangular grid with multiple buildings, each three stories high, and these are connected by massive tunnels.
I know absolutely that they can maintain a small city for a few months, at least 300 people can live there for three months.
Cheyenne mountain was originally constructed as one of several underground bunkers designed to secure our government in the event of a nuclear catastrophe.
Right even after the end of the second world war, the United States military was actively planning and developing some significant deep underground bases at that time to defend against a nuclear attack.
Cheyenne mountain was later adapted into a NORAD facility to detect all objects entering U.
S.
airspace, but many questions remain as to what really goes on there.
This facility could actually be perfect for monitoring UFO activity.
They're set up to track incoming ballistic missiles, which means they're naturally equipped to detect other threats coming from space.
Cheyenne mountain is just one of many known underground bases, but rumors and eyewitness accounts raise speculation on the existence of even more top-secret bases.
There was a cessna 172 pilot who had stated that he saw the vegetation and ground of the nearby area open up like a zipper.
Hangar 1 files uncover more patterns that suggest a network of underground bases throughout the U.
S.
And the astounding lengths the government will take to keep these bases and the secrets they contain hidden.
Within Hangar 1 are files that suggest there may actually be a network of secret underground bases throughout the united states.
In fact, the U.
S.
military acknowledges that underground bases, such as Cheyenne mountain, were built to defend America in the event of a catastrophic war.
But are there also underground bases hidden from the public? And are the methods for hiding these bases greater than anything imaginable? Right around 1972, there was a cessna 172 pilot who was flying not too far from aberdeen proving ground.
He claimed that he had to make an emergency landing near one of these dirt roads, and just before touchdown, he stated that he saw the vegetation and ground of the nearby area open up like a zipper, so the actual ground was moving and it was coming apart, and he saw some type of a camouflaged underground base opening.
He looked inside.
He didn't say he saw flying saucers, but there was definitely an underground facility there.
What this pilot saw with his own eyes cannot be denied.
I mean, can you imagine seeing the ground open up like a zipper and reveal an underground base? You're not gonna forget a thing like that, and it makes you wonder, what's going on down there? Think about the utility of having a clandestine, deep underground base.
You've got total security from prying eyes.
MUFON files suggest that these underground bases also contain an intricate system of giant tunnels that connect multiple facilities across America.
This comes from a retired general electric engineer with decades of experience.
He claimed that he was part of this underground program that towed a b-52 in an underground tunnel from plant 42 to Edwards north base complex, but the interesting point is, as they were going through this tunnel, he said that there were four connecting shafts to the one that he was in, and he said that two of those shafts were twice as big as the one that he was in.
You could put two b-52s side by side and still have six feet on each wing tip, and this was back in 1992.
In addition to massive tunnels, the files contain reports of advanced underground transportation systems which travel at extraordinarily high speeds.
Other reports indicate that there is a interconnecting, high-speed Maglev train system using not only electrogravitics, but something that has recently been proposed where they're taking air out, turning it into a vacuum, getting very high speeds over 600, 700 miles per hour.
I have a good friend, tom Keller, who is a UFO researcher, who met an aerospace engineer in palmdale, California, where he lives.
This gentleman used to work in El Segundo, and every day, he would go down an elevator to a tunnel and be whisked off to Nevada to work and then return that evening to the same office as if he had never left El Segundo, California.
So we should ask ourselves, "why are we flying airliners going 400, 500 miles an hour?" Where they can be completely independent of the weather going perhaps over 700 miles an hour.
And this has been going on for decades.
Could this secret world exist right below our feet? MUFON files reveal that one rumored underground base may actually be hidden in plain sight beneath the Denver international airport.
The Denver international airport is a treasure trove for conspiracy theorists.
There's definitely rumors circulating that there might be an underground intelligence base/alien holding area or I don't know.
Could Denver international airport be the site of a top-secret underground base? When we return.
Deep inside MUFON's Hangar 1 are files that contain information claiming that a network of underground bases connected by massive tunnels and transportation systems exists throughout the united states.
The files also indicate that not every base is in a remote military location.
One long-rumored underground base is even said to be hidden in plain sight beneath the busy Denver international airport.
Denver international airport is an interesting case that contains plenty of red flags for researchers, with unusual construction protocols that created enormous, inaccessible underground facilities.
I mean, it really makes you stop and ask if there's more here than meets the eye.
I've heard a creepy story of a guy got on a elevator, and he needed to use the restroom.
And he pushed a button And he felt like he was in the elevator for a very long time.
Finally, when the doors opened up, he came to this foyer, this grand walkway.
He couldn't see anybody.
He didn't hear anything, but he saw a restroom sign.
When he went into it, these urinals were massive.
I mean, it was like a men's restroom, but they were huge, and they were too high enough for him to make aim.
So he figured that this was designed for, you know, something a lot more bigger than a human, and it terrified him.
And he got back on that elevator and went back up.
There's definitely rumors circulating that there might be an underground intelligence base/alien holding area or The Denver international airport is a treasure trove for conspiracy theorists.
That airport was millions of dollars over budget.
It was years late.
It's out in the middle of nowhere.
It's not accessible to downtown Denver, so why would that be the case? There are rumors to indicate that Denver international airport is a cover for a deep underground facility, which is ongoing to this day.
What I've heard about the Denver international airport is that construction workers that were working on the site were only hired to do a certain job, and then they were laid off, and another person would come in.
So nobody really knew what was going on.
I would say that there's definitely a base that's under there.
We have information about a long runway and five separate buildings that were connected by miles of tunnels, and they were abandoned because of architectural problems.
These structures are all buried beneath the ground.
They're inaccessible to airport personnel.
Why? The reason they gave was biohazard or a fungal outbreak.
They're still inaccessible today.
Adding to this intrigue, MUFON files also contain theories about artwork within the airport that may contain graphic warnings of an uncertain future.
The strange murals that are inside Denver international airport just raise more questions than answers.
Shows, like, the ultimate doom and gloom of World War III.
You see this Darth Vader guy having a sword, and he's stabbin' a dove.
I mean, every time I walk by it, I go, "wtf?" We've got killer aliens, abducted children.
It's very easy to interpret this as a warning message about this horrible plan for aliens to take over our world.
This controversial artwork has since been removed, but many questions remain.
If these secret underground bases do exist and might be hiding evidence of UFOs and extraterrestrials, then perhaps Phil Schneider's story of his firefight with aliens is not so improbable.
Phil Schneider drops into a hole only to find himself in a fully formed underground facility and face-to-face with aliens.
MUFON files contain the account of yet another eyewitness, Thomas Castello, who also claims to have evidence of an underground alien base.
And like Phil Schneider's story, it too is located in Dulce, New Mexico.
Castello took photos of the underground base.
And the files reveal what may be the most controversial information yet.
A joint operation between the government and extraterrestrials.
Hangar 1's vast archive of files reveals a pattern that suggests a network of deep underground bases may exist And within some of these locations, maybe UFOs and extraterrestials.
The files include reports from a number of firsthand witnesses in addition to Phil Schneider.
One year after Schneider went public, he's found dead in his apartment.
While some questioned Phil Schneider's story, he isn't the only witness who claims to have been inside a secret underground base beneath Dulce.
1979, the same year Phil Schneider claims he is in an underground firefight, another government contractor, Thomas Castello, says he also has information about Dulce's network of underground bases.
Thomas Castello began his career in the military.
In 1971, he was offered a high-level security position with the rand corporation.
The rand corporation, as they had done since World War II, was involved in developing underground bases for the military.
Castello's story goes on to say that he is working at an underground base in Dulce, New Mexico.
As a security expert with ultra-high clearance, Castello had access to multiple levels within the Dulce underground base.
What Castello claims is there shocks him.
There were various experiments being conducted "Auraic" energy fields of humans, astral or spirit body voyaging and manipulation, advanced mind control analysis and application, human brain memory recognition, acquisition and transfer, matter manipulation, human-alien embryonic cloning What he reportedly finds convinces Castello to go public.
The most horrifying level, nightmare hall, supposedly housed humans kept in cages.
Castello was told that this was to help people with mental disorders, but when he recognized somebody from his hometown who had disappeared without any explanation, he knew it was time to blow the whistle.
Is there any evidence this is actually happening? Castello took photos of the underground base and then used his knowledge of the security systems to escape with his evidence But Castello believes he was betrayed by one of his coworkers.
Government agents were already waiting for him at his home.
When Castello showed up, they told him he would never see his family again unless he gave them the documents that he had stolen.
Castello had no choice but to comply.
Thomas Castello has since disappeared, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.
But he left behind a compilation of his story known as the Dulce papers.
The Dulce papers make a startling claim that the U.
S.
Government is actually working in collaboration with extraterrestrials.
According to Castello, this was a joint U.
S.
-alien command base, and the relationship was tenuous from the start.
And he believed that the more advanced e.
T.
S were the ones in charge.
Aliens and the U.
S.
government are working together, and we may not even be in charge? Think about the implications of this.
What does this mean if our government knows and is involved in these kinds of experiments? Phil Schneider, reportedly murdered; Thomas Castello, disappeared without a trace.
Are these coincidences? Or is there a government campaign to bury these secrets hidden beneath our feet? One of the reasons Phil believed he was in the military's crosshairs is because he was openly discussing his belief that the military not only knew about extraterrestrials, but had been working with them for decades.
Meanwhile, proof of the existence of a base in Dulce, New Mexico has not materialized.
To date, there is no authorized official statement regarding the existence of a underground facility at Dulce, New Mexico.
However, there are multiple eyewitnesses describing black helicopters and other strange vehicles within the local area.
MUFON files documenting underground and undersea bases might seem outrageous.
And yet, witness testimonies and declassified documents suggest that incredible events may be taking place beneath our feet.
At the very least, these case files raise the possibility that there may be underground secrets as mysterious as the UFOs that fly above us.
