Heartland (CA) s10e12 Episode Script

Sound of Silence

1 Amy: Previously on "Heartland" I think I might actually like Clay.
I know, yuck.
- We're engaged! - All: Ohhhh! Who's this? He's so handsome! This is Morgan, this is your horse for the clinic.
Okay, I need to find a new stable for the out of town rodeo horses.
I'll see what I can do to find you another barn.
Vern Caldwell, yeah, old friend of mine.
He owed me a favor.
Casey: I'm glad you guys are here, I could use a hand.
All the out of towners are coming.
Georgie: What's Morgan doing here, he's not in the rodeo.
Tim: I bought the horses you guys used.
Georgie: No way! (Laughs) I know, it's crazy, I don't even have room for 'em.
It's a good thing Vern said I could board 'em here for a bit.
(Flames crackle, sirens wail) (Water splashes) Firefighter: Get back! (Splintering, crashing) (Flames crackle) (Firefighters shout) (Water sprays) (People chatter) No one told him it was anything bad, so he just kept going.
Jade: Make way, make way! Oop! Sorry.
Okay, I'll bite What are those? These are our tickets to rodeo immortality.
We got permits to compete in the pros.
Clay: Yeah, we're running with the big dogs this weekend.
Finally gonna make some real money.
Gear down hot shot, you have to beat me first.
That's old news to me.
(Sighs) Whatever, you are so going down.
(Alarm beeps) Uh, be right back.
Oh hey! You forgot your insulin.
Insulin? Like, for diabetes? Man on Radio: Chance of showers again on Monday, and then back to seasonal conditions, much warmer temperatures coming up to the mid and end of next week.
(News bulletin music) (Amy groans) Woman on Radio: We have a breaking news story.
A barn fire took place near Hudson, Alberta last night.
Ah! Ow! Ow! Woman on Radio: Early reports suggest there could've been up to 25 horses in the facility at the time.
Ally: Firefighters arrived on the scene just after midnight to find the barn engulfed in flames.
- What's going on? - We don't know yet, I couldn't get the volume up fast enough.
Hopefully they say it again.
Ally: They were able to contain the fire, and save other structures on the property, but were not able to salvage the barn itself.
It's yet to be confirmed how many horses made it out.
Tim: Jack? - Yeah, we're in here.
Ally: But given the scale of the fire Tim: Hey, I'm gonna need some help - with the rodeo this weekend.
- Dad, Dad, shh, please! What, what, what's this? It was a barn fire, it's really bad.
Ally: An absolutely devastating reality that will affect so many horse owners from Alberta, B.
C.
, and Montana.
The owner of the barn, Vern Caldwell, has not been available for comment - Vern Caldwell?! - Yeah, you know him? Yeah.
Yeah, he-he's the guy, that's where Casey's rodeo horses are stabled.
Those were my barrel horses! Woman on TV: Thanks, Ally.
In case you're just joining us, That was CSNS's Ally Swanson Caldwell Stables, that's where all of Tim's horses are boarded! - And Casey's.
- Oh my God Morgan.
(Breathes heavily) (Buttons beep) Ally: Do you know how many were in there? (People murmur, water splashes) (Truck rumbles up) Oh! (Sobs) Oh, honey.
I got the call from Vern this morning.
It's all over the news.
The horses, what happened? Did-did any of them? How many? Only one got out.
(Sobs) Where is it? (Morgan whinnies) (Snorting, whinnies) Morgan! That's That's my horse! Morgan! S10E12 Sound of Silence And at the break of day You sank into the dream You dreamer Oh oh oh oh You dreamer You dreamer (Nervous snorting) (Nervous huffing) Amy, Amy! No, no, no! No, you let me do that.
Easy, easy.
Easy easy now.
(Morgan snorts nervously) Okay, that's it, that's it, that's a boy that's a good boy.
(Morgan snorts) That's it whoa! (Morgan whinnies loudly) Oh! Oh! Amy: Dad! Dad please, just get out of there.
(Tim grunts, Morgan whinnies) (Whinnies) He's probably so traumatized.
I can't imagine how terrifying that would've been, in there with all those horses.
It's okay.
Anxiety like that though, that can be dangerous, right? It could cause him to colic.
Jack: Well, we oughta get him outta there.
The smoke and the smell Let's take him to Heartland, and I can work with him there.
How? I can't even get near him, he (Sighs) Dad, let me try.
- No, Amy! - Please! - I'll take it slow, I - It's okay, Tim, I got her.
(Gate clank open) - It's okay.
- Jack.
(Morgan whinnies) (Gate shuts) (People chatter, water splashes) Camelot.
(Bit jingles) I've been trying to get a hold of you! I was at Caldwell's.
I know, the fire.
- Is Morgan - Yeah, he's okay.
I just dropped him off at the ranch.
Oh my God, I was so worried! He's pretty edgy though.
Amy's gonna work with him.
Okay, and the other horses, they're Well, Morgan made it, and uh You mean the rest of them were (Sighs tearfully) I'm-I'm coming home right now! Yeah, you go, I'll cover for you.
Thank you.
(Door opens and shuts) Oh come on, seriously? You gotta know something by now.
Tim, you gotta let them do their jobs.
I just want some answers! I just wanna know how it started! That's all I want! Come on, dammit! You know it's gonna take some time.
So what do we tell everybody, huh? Everybody that lost their horses and their livelihoods.
Believe me, I'm sick about it.
What about you? I mean, you lost your new horses.
Oh, there's no time for that, Casey.
We gotta get to work on your rodeo.
My rodeo? I'm gonna to cancel it, obviously No, we're pushing forward.
After everything that happened?! We can't leave it just like this! We've gotta do something for these people.
I gotta do something for these people.
(Sighs heavily) (Panicked whinnies) (Snorting, whinnying) (Truck rumbles) (Panicked whinnies) Georgie, please be careful, he's not himself! (Morgan snorts) Oh, good boy.
Hey! (Morgan huffs) Whew.
Is that the syrup for his lungs? It should help open them up.
Hey, Georgie? He's having trouble breathing.
Maybe you could hold him and keep him calm, while grandpa gives him some medicine? Yeah, I'll do whatever you want, um (Sighs) Is there anything else we can do? Anything to help keep him calm, soothe him.
You know, maybe some light brushing, you could walk him around on foot.
We just need to bring his anxiety down.
Okay.
(Sighs heavily) I can't believe this happened.
Yeah, I know.
I know.
(Sighs) Caleb: It's not a bad looking horse, but Yeah.
Whether or not it has any roping experience.
Well, you gotta find out.
- Morning.
- Hi.
I don't mean to be insensitive, but I hope you didn't call us here to tell us the rodeo's cancelled.
- No, no, it's on.
- Good.
Since you need cash so badly though, I was hopin' that maybe you'll work with Jade and Clay and get 'em rodeo ready.
Me? Huh! Hell yeah.
Okay.
I'm gonna need you to take a hit though this weekend.
What's that mean? Well, it's for the horse owners.
Casey and I have started this fund.
She's gonna work on getting sponsors, and I'm asking everyone to donate part of their winnings.
(Sighs heavily) - Okay.
- Good.
Me and my brother are up from Montana, He's one of those owners.
Lost a roping horse at Caldwell's.
Yeah.
Well I'm sorry to hear that.
I guess you can appreciate what we're trying to do here.
Oh I see exactly what's happening here.
Huh! You had some nerve.
You expect everybody else to make up for your mistake? What?! You boarded those horses there to save a few bucks, - it's your fault! - Whoa, gentlemen! Let's just all calm down a second.
You're not gonna see a cent from us.
This is all on you.
Your breathing's getting better.
Does that syrup taste okay? Hey.
- How's he doing? - He's all right, I guess.
Pretty stressed.
How about you? (Sighs) I'm okay.
He's doing a lot better, but I'm worried about him.
(Spartan snorts softly) It seems like he's found a friend.
Yeah, Spartan keeps coming to say hi.
It's like he can tell he's hurting.
Well, I have to admit the more I hang out with you, the more I believe that kind of stuff.
Um Can we talk about what happened at Maggie's with the insulin Actually, I think I should get going.
I just wanted to swing by to see how you were doing.
Okay.
Okay I'll call you later.
All right.
(Diners chatter) (Country music plays softly) Hey, you're that reporter from the news.
- Ally Swanson, right? - That's me.
You're covering the fire.
Yeah, not the most uplifting story I've ever followed.
Yeah, it's devastating.
But the rodeo's still moving forward.
So maybe that'll help everyone move past this.
Hey, have you heard about that female bronc rider? Really? Yeah, this is her first pro rodeo.
Hmm, cool.
- What's her name? - Jade.
Jade Virani.
(Laughs) Hey, good timing, you can help me bring Morgan in.
Bring him in? Yeah, I thought we'd put him in the barn tonight.
No, Amy! The last time that he was in a we can't just throw him in a stall right now.
I get where you're coming from, but if we take this nice and slow No! I said no.
He's gotta stay outside.
I'm sorry.
At least for now.
Okay.
(Sighs heavily) Oh (Laptop plays a song and chimes) Ty: Hey, how's it going? - Hey It's been a really long day.
Yeah? You look pretty bagged.
(Laughs) Thanks.
Was the baby kicking up a storm last night? Yeah, it's a pretty amazing feeling, but it's hard to get any sleep.
And then this morning Ty, something happened.
What do you mean? Is everything okay? No.
Well, what happened, Amy? (Sighs) There was a fire in a barn near here, and it was full of horses.
I can't talk about it, I'll probably lose it.
I just miss you so much! - That's it, I'm coming home.
- What?! I said I'd be back at the first sign of trouble.
No Ty, please, don't just hop on a plane.
I'll be okay, I just I need to get my mind off this, what's goin' on with you? (Sighs) Uh Well it's kinda been "Sleepless in Mongolia.
" Sympathy baby kicks? No, try a roommate that sleepwalks and sleep talks.
What, seriously? Yeah, Bob is up all hours of the night, talking about the animals at the reserve, checking on them, and then he'll walk over to the door, and I have to lead him back to his bed.
- Really? - Yeah.
And the best part is, he doesn't remember any of it.
He just sleeps right through it.
What a lucky guy.
(Both laugh) - Hey.
- Hey.
So how many sponsors have you got? Really, you wanna get straight to the money talk? Sorry.
You look nice.
- I-I'm - Hey.
It's okay.
Most of them have been pretty generous.
I'm sorry, I'm just I've been talking about this all day, I'm exhausted.
You must be too.
Yeah well I'm gettin' through it.
(Grunts with effort) Ally: On the heels of a devastating barn fire that has left the town of Hudson reeling, we have received new information that Caldwell stables is not the facility where out of town competitors have boarded their horses in the past.
The decision to change venues was made just last week, by a local rodeo legend named Tim Fleming.
Some are suggesting his attempt to cut costs That's ridiculous.
She doesn't know what the hell she's talking about.
(Man scoffs) (Tim sighs heavily) Hey.
Hey.
I guess you heard the rodeo's on.
Yeah, I did, I heard that.
Don't plan on missing that little ceremony.
Because Casey still wants you introduced as the newest member of the hall of fame.
Yeah, yeah, that'll be fine.
I was expecting to see you at the ranch this morning, I thought you'd be coming by to check on Morgan.
Yeah, later, I'm busy.
Well, that's good.
It's good to stay busy it keeps your mind off of things.
You saw the news report? Yeah, I did.
I hope you're not taking that b.
s.
seriously.
What? That everybody thinks that I'm responsible for the death of 20 horses? Not everybody.
And those that are, they're they're not being fair.
Not that any of this is fair, I guess.
Lots of people are struggling, Like you must be, you had horses there too.
Jack, I don't have time for this, I told you, I got a lot on my plate.
Yet, here you are, by yourself, cleaning tack.
Is that from the fire? I gotta get to work.
What are they doing here?! She thinks I'm an interesting story.
I wonder who planted that bug.
Caleb: All right, well, I don't want them to be a distraction.
Tim put me in charge of you two because he knew I could handle it.
I want you to block them out completely.
It happens to coincide with today's lesson.
And what exactly is that supposed to be? Visualization techniques.
Uh, Tim would never make us do that.
You're right, he wouldn't.
He's old school.
So think of me as new school.
I want you to close your eyes, take a nice, long, deep breath through your nose.
(Inhales deeply) And a deep, relaxing exhale out your mouth.
(Sighs deeply) Now picture yourself.
You're at the rodeo, you're in the chute, and you're getting dialed in.
You hear that roar of the crowd.
And you just block 'em out.
You're here for one reason and one reason only, and that is the thousand pounds of fury sitting right beneath you.
What side of eight seconds are you gonna be on? Can you do this? Well, can you? Guys? (Jade and Clay laugh) (Slapping) (Both laugh) (Ally laughs) I can't believe we have to work with Caleb again tomorrow.
It's only one more practice.
He's just trying too hard to make the transition into coaching.
He's feeling his age, I get it.
He must almost be 30.
Hell, I feel the same way, and I just turned 20.
You did? When? Today, actually.
Shut up! Why didn't you say anything? I don't like a big hoopla made over me.
Yeah, right.
I'm just trying to keep my mind on this rodeo.
But maybe I should do a little something to celebrate.
Care to join me for a frosty? Come on it's my birthday.
Fine, but no chugging this time.
Okay.
You still worried about Morgan? Yeah, but I think he's starting to calm down a bit.
I'm really sorry about all this.
You seem pretty stressed.
Yeah, maybe I should take some Valerian.
- It's the herb Amy's using.
- I know what it is.
It's a perennial flowering plant.
Extracts were used for perfume in the 16th Century, but now it's sometimes put in different types - of sleep aids.
- Right um, I'm not just stressed out about Morgan.
Can we talk about what happened at Maggie's? When I mentioned your insulin in front of Jade And Clay.
So you are upset.
It wasn't that big of a deal, and they didn't think so either.
But now they're gonna look at me differently.
- No they're not! - Yes, they are.
Because it does make me different.
Yeah, it makes you different, the way you deal with your diabetes, the way you don't let it rule your life.
It makes you one of the strongest people I know.
So it shouldn't have to be a secret.
Well, thanks, but that's up to me.
So in the future just don't say anything to anybody, okay? Okay.
Clay: This was a good idea.
Thanks for twisting my arm.
More like the other way around.
You ready for another? I think we should stick to one.
- We are in training.
- Yeah.
Although I wonder if we're making too much of this rodeo.
What?! This is it, this is the pros.
Yeah Doesn't it feel a bit wrong, after what happened to all those horses? I mean Maybe it should've been called off.
- Oh my God.
- What? - You're scared.
- No, I'm not! I get it, 20 isn't exactly young for a bronc rider - who just got his permit.
- Whatever.
And there's tons of guys your age who are already winning in the pros.
- Who says I won't win? - Your first time out? My uncle Hank did.
Oh yeah, your uncle, I forgot.
He was a legend.
And you're worried you won't live up to him.
That's enough! Hey, ease off, I'm just saying, it's-it's probably not easy being a McMurtry.
You're trying to get inside my head.
God, why does everything have to be a competition between us? I don't know, but I keep winning.
No, you don't.
I was the first one to get a sponsor, I was the first one to win a buckle in the amateurs, and now I'm the first one to have a big news story on me.
What have you done first? Well, what? - I can see what you're doing.
- Oh! Don't scare me like that, please.
I didn't think you'd miss a couple pieces of leftover chicken.
That's not what I'm talking about, and you know it.
(Sighs) Here we go.
Hustling around trying to take care of everyone else, You're hoping it'll somehow make up for this.
It won't, I already know that.
Well, how about what you lost here? That bridle you were trying to clean today, that's from one of your horses, isn't it? I just bought the horses, Jack, it's not like we had some bond.
I don't believe that, not for a minute.
(Sniffs) One of mine survived.
I'm the only one.
How ironic is that? I'm the one that made the deal with Caldwell, and and everybody else lost everything.
(Door slams) Is everything okay? Yeah, I was just checking up on Morgan.
Yeah, um, he's with the other horses in the barn.
He's inside the barn? Amy, he'll be terrified in there! No Dad, he's not.
He's bonded with Spartan, and that's why I put him in the barn in the first place.
They're stalled beside each other, and he seems totally fine.
Well, you should've asked me first! Oh come on Tim, you're being overprotective.
You know horses need to be with other horses.
Exactly, Morgan lost his family, so here's a chance for us to give him another one.
I hope you're okay with that.
There's not a whole hell of a lot I can do about it now, is there?! (Door slams) (Birds chirp) Georgie: Here they come, here's Spartan.
Okay, Spartan, you go say hi.
Georgie: Good boy, come on.
(Spartan snorts, Georgie laughs) - Should I let him out now? - Yeah.
We'll just take it nice and slow.
Okay.
Come on, Morgan.
(Gate clanks open) (Clicks tongue) (Morgan snorts) All right.
Come on, bud, time to meet some new friends.
Hi.
(Morgan whinnies softly) Good boy.
(Both horses snort) This'll give them a chance to get used to Morgan.
You know, horses are a lot like people.
You put them in a small space, and they're forced to get to know each other.
(Laughs) Jack: Especially when there's food involved.
(Chuckles) (Amy and Jack laugh) So do you think you can get me a list of all the broncs so we can have it, it'll be ready to go? - Mhmm.
- Tim Fleming, right? - Yeah.
- I'm Ally Swanson.
Yeah, I know who you are.
We'll-I'll get back to you.
Man: Okay, Tim.
So? What, you're here to get my side of the story? Oh, that.
Well, I was just reporting what people were saying.
Whether it's true or not? You think I like covering stories like this?! Well, you're here, so do you wanna get me on camera trying to defend myself? I'm doing a story on Jade.
I want to interview her coach.
We don't have to talk about the fire at all.
Yeah well, you've already said enough, pointing fingers, making accusations, not even thinking about how it affects people - in this community.
- Hey! If there was any way I could make this better Right, how about you just stop making it worse.
I have work to do.
(Competitors murmur) Clay: Glad you're up for another post practice bevy.
Yeah, I think we should talk about what happened yesterday.
- Oh - And a beer might help.
I don't know if there's much to talk about.
I mean, actions speak louder than words.
I think we may have got swept up in the moment.
I think we both know there's more to it than just that.
The truth is, I've always wanted a girl who was my equal.
Isn't that setting the bar kind of low? (Laughs) Colt: Whoa! Didn't anybody ever tell you not to get so friendly with the competition? I'm just messing with you.
- I'm Colt.
- Clay.
- And this is Jade.
- Jade, yeah.
Yeah, we heard all about her.
Both of you, actually.
Real up n' comers.
Well, let us be the first to welcome you to the pros.
Care to do a shot? Uh, actually I think we're okay with beer.
Leave that for the amateurs, come on.
Come on, one shot.
All right! It's okay, Adam, you're only like five minutes late.
Yeah.
Okay, see you soon.
Bye.
- Hey, Georgie.
- Hey.
Cup of Joe? Are you excited for your wedding? Yes, I am.
You know what they say, second time's a charm.
Isn't the saying, third time's a charm? No well yeah, but not in my case, hopefully.
(Cell phone rings) Yo.
Whoa, whoa! Just slow down, Clay.
What do you mean, Jade's sick? She drank what?! (Sighs heavily) Hold tight, I'll be right there.
- What's wrong with Jade? - She's an idiot.
Drank some seriously strong stuff, and now she's puking her guts out.
Wait, I'm coming with you.
I'll text Adam.
(Approaching footsteps thud) (Horse whinnies softly) (Amy sighs) He seems relaxed.
Morgan's a whole different horse since we brought him in the barn.
Don't gloat.
I'm just saying I think the other horses have really helped bring his anxiety level down.
As a matter of fact, Georgie thought that she should ride Morgan in the rodeo.
Not gonna happen.
Dad Amy, we don't even know how much smoke he's inhaled.
I know, and that's why I told her it was a bad idea, and I already shot it down.
Okay, good.
So why are we talking about it? Because I know that you're looking for something to help everyone move on.
And I think that Morgan should be a part of the rodeo.
He needs to be a part of it.
And you know what that something is? (Chuckles) I just think that seeing Morgan is the one thing that's gonna move everyone past this.
(Sighs) (Morgan snorts) (Both sigh) Hey, come on! You're-you're late! What-I've gotta get all this stuff over to the chutes! I was havin' coffee.
Seriously? That's your excuse?! With the Fire Marshall.
They found the cause of the fire.
Turns out they were doing some lighting upgrades over there recently, and whoever the electrician was, well he made a mistake.
- That's what he said? - That's what he knows.
Faulty wiring.
It wasn't Vern's fault, and it sure as hell wasn't yours! (Sighs heavily) (Rodeo contestants chatter) (Sighs, groans) (Takes a deep breath) Georgie: Whoa! Whoa, you look way worse than yesterday.
Thank you.
Do you even remember Caleb and I taking you home? Yeah sort of.
You reek, too.
You can't ride like this.
I'm not gonna let some little hangover get in the way, I've worked way too hard for that.
Little hangover?! You're completely out of it! You could get killed, what were you thinking? I didn't know how strong that stuff was, okay? Neither did Clay, we were just hanging out, having a beer, and then ugh, those guys showed up with stuff that was stronger than paint remover.
Wait a second.
You were hanging out with Clay? Is there something going on between you two, or Girls.
Hey, come on, this rodeo's startin' up! Wow, have Have you been drinking?! No not today.
I can't believe this.
What, don't be all hypocritical.
I remember plenty of morning afters, where I shouldn'tve even gotten on a horse.
But you did, didn't you? The last time I rode with a hangover, I got racked up.
It turned my life upside down, I lost everything! You wanna say I'm a hypocrite, that's fine.
I'm being called a lot worse than that lately.
I'm pulling you from the event.
I can't believe you, Jade! I can't believe it! (Sighs) What were you trying to pull?! I'm sorry, it's not something I Yeah, right! Were you in on it with those guys, trying to get Jade sick so she couldn't compete today? What? Of course not.
Georgie, please calm down, I feel terrible about this.
I don't wanna to hear it.
(Sighs) Adam: Hey.
Hey.
- What was that about? - Oh, nothing.
Just wishing him luck today.
Really? I thought you didn't even like that guy.
It-it's not important.
Um could I get you to video Morgan and I today? On my iPad? - Yeah, of course.
- Thank you.
(Horses whinny) Announcer: Ladies and gentleman, please direct your attention to our infield.
We're gonna kick this thing off by congratulating the newest member of the Foothills Cowboy Hall of Fame, Hudson's very own, Jack Bartlett.
(Crowd applauds and cheers) Thank you.
Thank you very much.
I've gotta say I didn't expect that the first time I spoke as a hall of famer would be under these circumstances.
(Morgan snorts) I'd like to take this opportunity to offer my condolences to all the fine people who lost so much in that fire.
And we've asked the owners of those horses to join us in the arena today.
(Crowd applauds) Horses are like family to rodeo people.
And rodeo people are like one big family.
So in a sense we've all shared in this loss.
All the owners, please.
(Crowd murmurs and whispers) Together let's join in a moment of silence, to commemorate the lives of these horses.
The family members we all just lost.
(Crowd murmurs) (Rustling) (Sobs) Thank you.
(Crowd murmurs) You probably all know that there was one brave horse that managed to survive this tragedy, and I'd like to introduce you all to him right now.
Please welcome Morgan! (All applaud and cheer) (Loud cheering) Girl: Woo-hoo, Morgan! (Applause and cheering) Boy: Yeah, Morgan, go! (Crowd applauds and cheers) (Loud cheering) Hey, at least you got to right.
I know, I just I wanted to beat those guys so bad for how they duped us.
Caleb: (Laughs) Well, that was your first try at the big leagues.
What'd you expect? I mean, you didn't seriously think you were gonna beat me, did you? I would've settled for anywhere in the money.
Huh.
- Ally: Jade! - Uh-oh.
This is not gonna be good.
Why didn't you ride? You're the one who sold me on doing this news piece, and now I don't even have one! Yeah, you do.
Why don't you tell your viewers how these rodeo people rallied back from a tragedy? I know, and I'm going to, because it's an important story to tell Good, it'll make up for the mess - you made in the first place.
- Look, I'm sorry.
And I am going to set the record straight.
I just wish I didn't spend all that time covering a courageous female bronc rider, who just ended up dropping out! - Wait - No, you wait.
She's right, come here.
Things have to change around here and quick.
This time it really wasn't my fault.
I don't wanna hear it Jade, no excuses.
I'm sorry that I wasn't there for the past few days, but that's not an excuse.
Next time you wanna keep up with the big boys, do it in that arena.
- You got it? - Yeah.
Good.
(Sighs) Adam: Hey! Oh, here Georgie, I'll load him.
Oh, thanks.
So, did you get it? Yeah, it was pretty amazing, I'm really proud of you.
Thanks, I'm glad to hear that.
Um so you're not still mad at me for slipping up, are you? No, I'm not.
You were probably right.
I shouldn't keep my diabetes a secret.
You shouldn't, and maybe you'll be happier now that it isn't.
So is this where I say thank you? You're welcome.
Um give me a sec.
(Message chimes) (Keys click, message chimes) (Message chimes) (Message chimes) (Sighs) So why'd you stand me up at Maggie's yesterday? Oh, it-it's a long story, I don't really feel like getting into it, is that okay? Yeah, of course.
But I wanna make it up to you, so can we head to Maggie's tonight? You know I think I'm gonna get going.
I'll see you later.
Yeah, sure.
I heard about that little stunt you pulled with my riders.
You want a piece of me, I'm right here.
Here.
That's half of what everybody won.
I hope it helps.
What Bartlett said, he's right.
We need to stick together.
(Gasps) Thank you.
(Amy sighs) Okay, bud.
(Clicks tongue) (Whinnies) Georgie: You were right about Morgan.
He needs a family.
And now he has one again.
(Sighs) (Horses whinny) Thank you for helping me.
Put everything together.
You never lost focus, even with everything you were going through.
I think you're the strongest man I've ever met.
Ugh! I was crying like a baby out there during that moment of silence.
Especially because of that.
So the rodeo went well? That's great.
You still look a little down though, Amy.
Yeah Yeah, I'm feeling better about things.
I just it's really tough without you here.
I get it.
I mean, Bob isn't the only thing keeping me up at night.
I wanna be home with you.
Put my hands on your belly, and feel our baby kicking.
I lay awake every night thinking about these things.
You know, uh you know that shirt of yours, my favorite? Um oh, the blue plaid one? You took it with you?! It's the only thing that helps me sleep.
(Both laugh) Ty, I have been looking everywhere for that shirt.
Well, it's not like it would fit you right now anyways.
Man: Hey Ty, we need you.
That is probably true.
(Laughs) I gotta go, Amy.
I love you.
I love you, too.
Whenever it's dark Well, somewhere it's light Is anything right Is anything wrong The longer the night The sweeter the dawn
