I Am Georgina (2022) s02e01 Episode Script

Nada es perfecto

1
[theme music playing]
[Georgina] Life has given me a lot,
in a short time.
The Latin Grammy goes to
- Look how lovely. Look how beautiful.
- Oh, yes!
[Georgina] This year, I experienced
the best and worst moments of my life.
DEATH OF OUR SON
[Georgina] A piece of my heart broke. And
[voice breaks] I don't know.
[pop music playing]
I wondered how I'd move on.
The answer came quickly.
Sooner than I thought.
[kiss]
My precious love.
I looked into my kids' eyes.
And I saw that the only way
we could move on
was by standing together.
I'm still me, but different.
[cameras clicking]
[Georgina] I have
over 40 million followers.
- How are you?
- [Georgina] I'm great!
You know, I always watch your show.
I love it.
[Georgina] But no one knows how I feel.
That's why I'm here to tell you all.
No hashtags, no filters.
I'm a mother, a sister,
a friend, a woman.
I Am Georgina.
I AM GEORGINA
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND
[funky music playing]
We arrived in Manchester.
Helen was with me.
I said, "Let's go to IKEA."
She said, "Gio, your belly's really flat."
And I said, "Really? Because
when I was pregnant with Alana,
I had a really flat belly."
And she gave me a look.
And I said, "Oh, I'm late."
But it was just two days
so I didn't think it was a big deal.
And I said,
"Oh, I should take a pregnancy test."
[whimsical music playing]
[Georgina] I remember I took it
as soon as I got home.
And there was a cross.
The cross meant positive,
but the vertical line wasn't clear.
And I said, "No way, Helen.
The line isn't clear."
"Let's take another one."
And so I took another one.
And Helen said, "A cross means
it's positive. It's positive."
And I said, "No, that can't be right."
So I went to the clinic,
and there was a Brazilian doctor there.
And she said,
"You're definitely pregnant."
- And she froze.
- [violin slide]
And she said, "It's two babies."
And I yelled, "What?"
I went crazy. I was shaking, crying.
I got the kids from school.
I went home. Cris saw my expression.
And he knew something was up.
He was lying down, channel surfing.
We'd just moved in
and he didn't know how to use the remote.
So he's messing with it,
and I said, "I'm pregnant."
He looked at me and said,
"Is everything okay?"
And I said, "Yes, yes, it's all good."
"They have They have heartbeats."
He looks at me and says,
"That's great." He tries to hug me.
"It's twins."
Bam! He fell on the floor.
Don't ask me how,
but suddenly he was sitting up and
IMPATIEN
so excited.
"Gio, let's take
better care of ourselves."
"We'll rest more,
eat better. Don't stress out"
Don't worry about the kids,
the move is done. Step by step."
And well, that was it.
That's how it started.
[both giggling]
[upbeat rhythmic music playing]
3 MONTHS BEFORE DELIVERY
[indistinct chatter]
You're so smart, Eva.
Because of the plane. The plane.
[Mateo] It doesn't smell, Eva.
It doesn't smell.
[chuckling]
[music continues]
- [Cristiano] I'm gonna throw you.
- [Mateo] No!
[Cristiano chuckles]
These days, I'm a difficult person
to surprise.
High up, aren't we sweetie? Look.
[Georgina] I've been to Dubai a lot,
but I'd never been to watch the sunset,
which people do a lot, right?
Look how the sun's going down.
So he said, "It's your birthday."
"I want to take you to the city center
and watch the sunset."
So that's where it all started.
Let me see? You look so pretty.
Jeez. Jeez, that's amazing.
- [Georgina] How cool.
- [waitress] Good evening.
[Georgina] Hello.
[Alana] Your birthday.
I was really excited
to spend my birthday there.
With my kids, with Cris.
Plus it was the premiere of I Am Georgina.
[Georgina laughs] Oh!
I really wanted to watch
the I Am Georgina premiere
on the beach with a projector.
So, Cris heard me and said,
"What are you arranging?"
And I said, "Well, we have to watch
I Am Georgina somewhere."
- [Eva] I burned myself.
- [Georgina] No, not that.
- [waiter 1] Good evening.
- [waiter 2] Hello.
- He said, "Sure, I guess we could."
- [comic fade]
So I was really annoyed.
I spent, like, four days
feeling kind of mad at Cris, like,
"Jeez, how could he say he doesn't want
to watch I Am Georgina on the beach
with everyone, and how big
I Am Georgina is going to be?"
But, of course,
he had everything planned out.
[captivating music playing]
He hired one of the best restaurants
just for me.
Then he organized a top-class buffet.
With views of Burj Khalifa,
from the third floor.
We sat down
and a magician started doing tricks.
And then suddenly,
I heard the I Am Georgina theme song,
and I thought, "No way."
[woman] Oh my God!
["Mamacita" by Ms Triniti playing]
I tried not to cry
'cause when I cry, it scares my kids.
I AM GEORGINA
[captivating music playing]
[Georgina] I tried not to cry,
but between that
and the hormones, the happiness,
the compliments I'd received
from so many people
[music continues]
Let's take a picture with Mom.
- A picture, a picture.
- Alana, stand here.
Quick, quick.
It was a really emotional day for me.
Well, was and still is because,
in the end, those moments
and experiences, when they're positive,
they stay with you forever.
And day to day,
they're like a buzz, or a spark
that that keep you happy.
And active and alive.
- [Cristiano] All good?
- Great.
- Thank you.
- [Junior] What a surprise.
[Alana] Yay!
It was amazing. Really very thoughtful.
He's really good to me.
[camera clicks]
THE END TO AN EXCITING DAY.
NO WORDS. THANK YOU.
LAPLAND
[festive music playing]
We looked forward to
the Lapland trip for months.
A magical trip
that every kid dreams of taking.
[music continues]
I was pregnant when we went.
We had such a great time.
[all giggling]
[music continues]
- [Georgina] Wow.
- [Elena] Wow.
[Georgina] Over here, kids.
[Eva coos contentedly]
[Georgina laughs]
[Georgina laughs]
- [Alana] Kids!
- [Mateo] I dropped it!
Yellow card!
[Elena] Yes.
- [Eva] Helen!
- [Elena] What is it?
[Eva screams]
- [sobbing] It's wet!
- [Elena] Ah!
My gloves hurt!
Move your fingers inside
the gloves, Mateo.
[crying]
[Georgina] I thought
snow would relax them.
- [Elena] Good or not good?
- [Georgina] Keeps on going.
It was too cold for the kids, at first.
You could see it on their faces
and they didn't like the heavy coats.
But then, when they saw the snow and
how beautiful it was, it didn't matter.
It was worth it.
[all laughing]
- [Georgina] Jump!
- [Eva] Quickly!
Okay, let's walk for a bit too, yeah?
[music continues]
How do I manage to travel
with so many kids?
Honestly, to this day,
I don't really know.
It's like, I get so excited
that I don't get tired,
but once we get home,
I'm exhausted and I need,
like, three days to recover.
With two babies on the way,
what can I do to make sure
they don't get jealous?
I need to make time for everything,
and time for myself.
[festive music continues]
[music intensifies, fades]
[Eva babbles]
[Sofía] We saw the Northern Lights.
That was so lucky.
Yeah, I got really emotional
at the airport when we arrived,
and I saw the night sky in the distance
and realized how close we were.
On the plane I kept saying,
"Girls, it's the Northern Lights!"
- My heart started racing. Totally.
- [Sofía] So lucky, right?
- It was moving, huh?
- It really moved me.
So when we landed that night
boom, boom, boom,
a green plane against the dark sky
So we called it the "Northern Plane."
[chuckles]
If I get to see it
Imagine we get to see it tomorrow,
I'm going to cry like crazy.
[Sofía] How long
have you wanted to see them?
Years. Ever since I was younger,
when I learned about it in high school.
They should do Northern Lights
simulations here, like they do fake snow.
- [Elena] Right.
- It's true.
[Elena] No tourist goes home
without seeing them.
[Sofía] That's true.
So, yes, I still want to see The aurora.
Dear Northern Lights, when will I see you?
I'd like cookies, without strawberry.
- [enunciates] Without strawberry.
- [Sofía laughs]
And they haven't started
my English lessons yet.
Next, you'll see me doing BBC interviews.
- [chuckles]
- [Elena] Don't get carried away.
[festive music playing]
[Georgina] I love snow.
It brings me peace.
Makes me feel like a child.
My mother always took us
up to the mountains on the weekends.
It was magical. And, every time I go,
I turn back into a little girl again.
[music continues]
So you don't get cold.
Watch out for the horns, kids.
- [playful music playing]
- [kids giggling]
[Sofía] Look, look.
Mateo. Watch out for the horns.
- [Eva] Mom.
- Watch out for the horns, Eva.
- It'll headbutt you.
- [Sofía] Come on, let's go this way.
[bodyguard] So, are we ready
or what, guys?
[playful music continues]
[soft trundling]
Hey, hey! [whistling]
I had a bad time
because we were on the sleigh
and kept tipping over to the side.
[playful music continues]
Hey, you're going to
tip us over. Hey, hey!
Imagine tipping over
in a wooden sleigh with toddlers.
[laughs] I got mad real quick.
[whistling]
[laughing] He's lost his mind!
[wood creaking]
- We made it.
- [bodyguard] We survived.
This one's a little crazy, isn't he?
["You And Me And Santa Claus"
by Bob Saker & Bill Connor playing]
My best childhood Christmas memory
was when we decorated the house.
We didn't have much money,
so my mom took my sister and I
to La Cantera,
which is a little walk in Jaca.
And we'd collect chestnuts,
moss, leaves, pine cones
And then we'd make a Nativity scene.
I want to give you
your first Christmas present in here.
[Georgina] Having Christmas now,
with a big family,
I start getting ready, like,
four months in advance
so the presents, the decorations,
the menu, the food are all ready.
Some companies rent out decorations.
You pick them out,
and then their team puts them up
and takes them down.
It's much better, to be honest.
It's really convenient.
[camera clicks]
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND
[Georgina] One, two and
- [balloons pop]
- [Georgina cheering]
It's a boy!
No, it's a girl!
- [Georgina] Yay!
- [Alana] It's a girl!
[Junior] Yay!
- [Junior] A boy!
- [Alana] Yay!
- [Alana] A boy!
- [Junior] A boy!
[Georgina chuckles]
- [Georgina] Yay!
- [Junior] A boy!
2 AND A HALF MONTHS BEFORE DELIVERY
The Darlings are coming to Manchester
for a really special weekend.
[Ivana] What you gonna do
when you get to Manchester?
Eat, snack
- Eat like a lady.
- Have a second dinner.
Just like Georgi,
we love having two dinners.
It was an emotional trip for everyone,
and it was Iván's first time on the jet.
This millionaire lifestyle
really works for me. It's perfect.
We went as a team to cheer my sister up
during her pregnancy.
We came with a powerful,
refreshing energy, you know?
We're here!
The Darlings are like her extended family.
We get together as often as possible.
Yeah, we try to meet
because we miss each other. A lot.
- [knocking]
- [Iván] Darling!
Darling!
The Darlings are so special.
We talk every day,
all the time, about everything.
[Elena] Hello!
- [Iván] Hey, darling! Hey!
- [Elena] How are you?
You could say, to my sister,
the Darlings are just a fun friend group.
But no.
I mean, yes, but I feel
we're more of a necessity.
- [Georgina] Welcome.
- Look at those babies.
- [Elena] Leave your coats here.
- [Iván] Great.
[Sofia] Hey there.
They're here to help me
set up my babies' nursery.
Take off your shoes.
We have a new carpet down.
[Iván] Because of the carpet, right?
I wanted to do something special and
what better way than with my best friends?
You look so gorgeous, kids, my goodness.
And, you know, so they can learn
a little bit about what it's like
to prep for a motherhood.
- [Ivana] For when they're three months.
- [Alana] I'm a baby!
- [Georgina] Look.
- [Julia] Eva!
- [Sofía] What's your name?
- Oh, how lovely.
- [Mamen] That's perfect, honey!
- [Elena] Gucci!
[Ivana] I've brought some stuff from Deva.
- Some small things. A little used
- [Georgina] It doesn't matter.
We had a good, relaxing time together,
and we made a special memory
out of my babies' nursery.
They kept me company in Manchester,
because I hadn't been
living there for long,
and I didn't know many people.
So, I brought
fortune cookies for us to open
so we can see what the future holds.
[Ivana] A fortune. How cool.
Come on, you first.
[Eva] Mommy.
- [Iván] Open and enjoy your good fortune.
- It smells like communion bread.
- [Iván] Eva, here.
- [Georgina] Like in church, right?
[Sofía, laughing] Body of Christ.
- When you take communion.
- [Iván] Let's see.
[Georgina, eating] Mine says,
"Patience is the key to success."
How lovely. Well, you know,
you need patience. You need it.
[Georgina] But I've become
much more patient, right?
Babe, you could use more patience.
I think it's funny
I drew a "patience" fortune
because I'm a very patient person,
especially when it comes
to raising my kids.
But, when I want something,
I'm really impatient.
I want it, like, yesterday.
We want fate to bring you blessings in,
well, friendship, but also for you,
your family, and your future.
And so, as your Darlings,
we have something for you.
It's to do with our friend group,
but you'll see.
All right.
Even though your fortune
said something else.
Did you guys write down all your wishes?
So I could read them?
[paper rustling]
[Georgina] Oh, how beautiful.
- So lovely.
- [Mamen] Isn't it lovely?
Finding the bracelet was a pain.
It's really hard to get her a present
because she already has everything.
And while she really likes jewelry,
we had to find jewelry she'd like
within our budget which is not very easy.
- So, it's a bracelet.
- A gift for Mommy.
- There are six hearts for your six kids.
- Two names are missing.
Two names still need to be engraved.
And each name has a little diamond.
And then that small heart right there,
with a little diamond,
that's us sweethearts.
I love that.
So cool, I love it.
They wanted to reflect
my "heart vision" on my wrist.
It was made especially for you,
and we Darlings designed it.
- Is it yellow gold?
- [Iván] It's yellow gold.
And once you have
a name for the two babies
- Right, when
- Then you can engrave them.
[Georgina]
What I'm going to do is hold onto it
until the other names are engraved,
and then you can make it a little bigger.
I don't think my wrist has gotten
much bigger though.
- [Sofía] Bigger?
- [Iván] Did we get the measurement right?
- From the Chopard shoot?
- Eugenia gave it to us.
Right, but Eugenia had the measurement
from when I was in Italy and I weighed
[Sofía] Oh!
- ten kilos less.
- It's different, then.
The heart bracelet was a really special
touch that I wasn't expecting at all.
Plus, all those hearts,
because I see hearts everywhere.
I'm eating a piece
of bread, I see a heart.
I'm eating a piece of chorizo,
I see a heart.
In my coffee, I see a heart.
You may have diamonds,
emeralds, rubies, and everything,
- but this is really special.
- [Georgina] Yeah.
- It's gorgeous.
- [Iván] Darlings, we did good.
- [Ivana] Great!
- [Sofía] Did we do good?
[party music playing]
- No sweets for you?
- No.
It's just, sugar doesn't agree with me
when I'm pregnant.
- Do you need to go poop too?
- Yes.
- Millionaires poop too?
- [Julia] Big time poopers.
- A lot.
- Jeez, really?
- I'm the constipated type, like Sofi.
- Wow.
- [Sofía] The constipated type?
- [Julia] "The constipated type"
Well, I'm the "open type."
[all chortling]
People are shy
when it comes to talking about farts
and poo and stuff.
It's normal, we should talk about it.
I just remembered something.
Did you talk to the attorney?
- What attorney?
- The a-turd-y hanging out of my ass.
[all laughing]
[Georgina] I love spending time
at home with my people,
there's nothing like it.
And when people leave and say,
"Wow, what a great home,
what a wonderful family."
I love it. It's like an energy boost.
- [Georgina] What are you up to?
- [Sofía] I have a ton of weddings.
Can I borrow something?
- Anything you like.
- This place is like a store.
[captivating music playing]
[Georgina] The truth about women
is we love to gossip,
and we're obsessed with
what other women have in their closets.
The boots I told you about
the other day that don't fit?
- Which ones?
- [Georgina] The white ones.
[Sofía] These right here?
Wait, don't bend down.
Which one didn't fit?
- The right one fits. The left one doesn't.
- [Sofía] The left one doesn't?
Yes, I think it's because it's new,
you know, sometimes
- It's hard.
- [Georgina] Exactly.
- Oh, they fit me.
- [Georgina] Yeah.
- [Mamen] Like that.
- I need you to stretch them a little.
The boots were new and, because
I was pregnant, my feet were so swollen
they wouldn't fit inside.
It was a mess.
Put them on, wear them for dinner.
So they warm up, stretch.
It's good for the leather.
- Are they leather or faux leather?
- [Mamen] Leather.
Leather, right?
Sure, I'll wear them for a bit.
They're fabulous.
Yes, lovely.
I can wear them now. I wore them recently
to go to the massage therapist.
Mm-hmm.
[Sofía] Your dressing room is amazing.
- It's lovely.
- [Mamen] It turned out amazing, right?
You can see everything.
[Georgina] I got this at IKEA
for the sneakers.
And the drawers are from IKEA too.
I love them because they're really light,
and when you have them custom-made
they're really expensive and weigh a ton.
This way, you save money and kilos, right?
The good thing is that it's all tidy.
So I have clothes in drawers
and on clothes racks.
So, if I have to leave, I move
the clothes racks, move the dressers,
pack up the bags,
wrap them up, and that way,
I'm always ready to leave in a hurry.
- Alright, I'll take them.
- Come on, Sofi.
- Tame the beasts.
- [laughing]
- Yep, I'll tame them.
- [Mamen] Let's go eat, come on.
I'm a great hostess.
I love it when people come
to my place, people I've invited.
I want them to feel at home
and for them to leave
feeling good, with a good vibe.
[Iván] Hey, Georgi,
you're in Madrid this week, right?
We're going on Tuesday.
[Iván] Why are you going to Madrid?
To the gynecologist. On the 24th.
- [Sofía] Mm. Great.
- [Julia] Great.
- For an ultrasound?
- [Mamen] To see how far you are?
- [Iván] Great.
- [Sofía] Are you going for anything else?
- [Georgina] I'm going to see the build.
- [Iván] The build at the big house?
Yep. To see the stonework and pick it out.
I've pretty much decided.
[Iván] The one you're choosing
to cover the facade?
- Yeah.
- What else are you changing?
The facade, spa, pool, everything.
So you're changing everything?
Everything. You'll see when we go.
You're going to be amazed at how it looks.
- [Sofía] How cool.
- Yes.
We had a great time,
for sure. I love them like crazy.
Give me one more piece,
and don't let me have any more.
It was lovely, very emotional.
[suspenseful music playing]
[jet engines whirring]
- [indistinct chat]
- [engine whirring]
MADRID, SPAIN
FAMILY HOME
2 MONTHS BEFORE THE BIRTH
[Georgina] I decided
to refurbish the family home
because it wasn't really designed
for our family,
I mean, the size of our family.
In terms of
what I said about the fireplace,
we can leave it here
and have this as a snug area.
- [designer] It's a really big space.
- [Georgina] Exactly.
[designer] So it's better
to differentiate the fireplace area
- and the living area.
- [Georgina] That's how I'd do it.
Some things just can't be delegated
because they turn out a mess.
- A big change in Junior's room, right?
- Hmm.
- Yeah, it turned out really well.
- [Georgina] Yeah, it's gorgeous.
And if you delegate everything
to one person,
all your houses turn out the same.
You see someone else's house
and it's the same as yours.
- So, bed here, TV there
- [designer] And that's it.
I think every house should be personal,
and right now,
the house doesn't fit our family.
[camera clicking]
[Georgina] Let's take a look.
- The sinks are side by side, right?
- Side by side.
- In all of them?
- In all of them. They're all the same.
I want a bidet in my bathroom.
For a top and tail wash. Wash, wash, wash.
[interviewer] What's a top and tail wash?
Crotch, butt, pits, wash, wash.
[both laugh]
[designer] So, are you happy
with everything?
- Yes, it's great.
- So, there it is.
We lead very busy lives.
During the week, Cristiano is training
with colleagues and traveling,
and the stadiums are
so intense and draining.
And I travel a lot for work too,
so I know how it feels.
So, our home is like our temple.
It's where we recuperate, eat, rest,
have family time,
so we spend a lot of time there.
That part of the facade, plus there,
will all be in the same type of stone.
All the same, and the same size.
And I can see that one in a bigger size?
Yes, we'll get a sample.
- Then we'll have a look beforehand.
- Great.
Truth is, it has every little detail
and I think it's our dream home.
- [María José] Hello.
- Mariajo!
- [María José] Look who's here.
- Jeez.
[María José chuckling]
- [Maria José] What do you think?
- This is a surprise.
- How are you?
- Nice to meet you.
- Well, I gave you a kiss.
- You too.
She loves natural stone.
So
[Georgina] This is so lovely.
- I hadn't seen it before.
- Yes, they're semi-precious stones.
[María José] All semi-precious.
[Georgina] Stone is really important to me
because it brings me peace
and a lot of energy when I have it
close by, it fills me with energy.
[man] Right, Georgina,
I'll show you a digital image.
So you can see some of the colors.
So, I'm thrilled
to have you here today because
Well, we were
We missed being neighbors
by about a year. And
I live in Francisco Remiro now.
- Really?
- [man] Yes, yes, yes.
People in the development
still talk about you.
Francisco Remiro. Is that
where we used to throw out trash
- or the other place with the two doors?
- I'm near the trash one.
- Oh, near mine.
- Yeah.
[giggles]
- Are you able to say what you're having?
- A boy and a girl.
That's so lucky, right?
Did you live
in Francisco Remiro a long time?
Yes, I was there for two years? Three?
- [man] And that's when you met?
- Cris, yes.
Okay, so when I moved there,
one of my neighbors,
a friend, told me
that you'd lived there too.
And he showed me your Instagram
and I pointed out the pool, like,
- "Look! It's the same pool!"
- Yeah.
So I took some pictures
trying to copy you.

LAZY AFTERNOONS
8 WEEKS BEFORE THE BIRTH
- [doctor] Hello, Gio.
- Good morning.
As soon as I found out I was pregnant,
I stopped working.
I stopped everything.
I wanted to take it easy,
enjoy the pregnancy.
And I wanted to share it with my kids too.
[nurse] There's at least one boy.
- Yeah.
- [doctor laughs]
[Ivana] Oh, Mateo.
- There's a boy.
- [Georgina] There's a boy.
- I want a girl and a boy.
- I want a girl and a boy.
- I want a girl and a boy.
- [Georgina] What about you, Junior?
- A boy and a girl.
- [Georgina] Oh.
The girl is called Bella and
and the other boy is called Rubén.
[Georgina] I think my body needed a break.
After all, I was carrying twins.
Carrying two babies
isn't the same as having one.
So, how are you?
That's what I need to know.
Good, I feel good.
The first few months were horrible.
I was vomiting all the time.
- [Alana] Are you going to throw up?
- No, I'm not going to throw up.
[laughs]
I was really sleepy.
So I spent the whole morning asleep,
the kids were at school
and Cris was training.
How are the kids?
What do they say about all this?
