1 - [footsteps thudding.]
- [loud roaring.]
- [dramatic music playing.]
- [panting.]
[chittering.]
Trust me, I'm your friend.
[grunting.]
[Chatter.]
Bawk! Run for your lives! [sirens blaring.]
Finger five on it! [roaring.]
[grunting.]
[growling.]
[roaring.]
[Kong roaring.]
[monkeys screeching.]
[roaring.]
- [giggling and exclaiming.]
- [grunts.]
[grunting happily.]
[Kong cooing.]
[hooting.]
[kisses.]
[screeching.]
[Panchi gasps.]
- I wonder what set them off.
- I'm not sure.
Whatever it was got those monkeys looking pretty spooked.
Lukas, do you think it might have been Kong? [grunts softly.]
Maybe.
But at least it helped us get a glimpse of some species everyone thought were extinct.
- [com-unit beeping.]
- [chuckling nervously.]
I guess I'm a little nervous.
It's my tia.
She's probably wondering what's taking us so long to find Kong and come home.
[speaking Spanish.]
Is everyone all right? It's all over the news! Why wouldn't we be? What news? Hello! Scientists are monitoring a volcano right where you are.
Everyone is afraid it's going to erupt any second! Don't worry.
I don't think we're near the volcano.
- [rumbling.]
- [exclaiming.]
Not near it.
We're on it.
[Anita sighing.]
I'm so upset, I've been stress-baking all day.
- Bawk! All for me! Bawk! - [grunting.]
We're fine.
It's just taking a little longer to find Kong than we hoped.
But the good news is, we've seen signs that there's a small troop of gorillas left in the wild living somewhere close.
Which is probably where we'll find Kong.
- Hi, Anita! - [growling.]
[speaking Spanish.]
[in English.]
What is that growling? [Panchi.]
Um that's just Danny's stomach grumbling after seeing all the treats you baked.
[chuckling.]
No joke.
Now I really can't wait to find Kong and get home.
- [growling.]
- [Panchi gasps.]
Make sure Lucky and Chatter save some treats for Kong and us.
Uh gotta go now.
Adiós, Tia Anita! Huh Anita's right.
It's all over the news.
Volcanic activity has definitely increased.
Let's move.
I gotta admit, I'm torn between wanting to bring Kong home and hoping the big guy found the ape family he's been hoping for.
Yeah, me too, Danny.
But, either way, Kong needs to know this volcano could blow any minute.
Right.
So maybe I can see something if I get over these trees.
[shouting.]
Stop, Danny! Our jetpacks are nearly out of power! Huh? Uh-oh.
Too late! [Danny screaming.]
Danny, activate the emergency backup! Don't need to! [laughing and hooting.]
Kong taught me how to swing like an apeman! - [vine snapping.]
- Whoa! [groans.]
[woman.]
The cameras and sensors I've positioned around the volcano - confirm it - Should blow any minute! All right, what a story! It's a vital ecosystem and many lives are at stake.
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Human and precious animals.
But I'll be able to write my own ticket after this.
- [both exclaiming.]
- Whoa! - Hang on.
- [sighing.]
Thanks, Lukas.
I sure hope Amy and Jonesy's mission is going easier than ours.
Heck, all they need to do is cure a bunch of robosquito-bitten zombie police.
How tough can that be? Hmm, we'll see.
I spoke to Jonesy earlier.
He and Amy should be back in San Francisco any minute now.
That's great, but I don't understand how they're going to be able to find everyone who was bitten by Richard's robosquitos.
It's actually pretty cool if it works the way Jonesy and Amy hope.
[all.]
Must destroy Kong.
Destroy Kong! Destroy! [Lukas.]
Jonesy reprogrammed the bionobug to detect the unique pheromone signature of anyone infected by Richard's robosquitos.
Then it will sting them, administering the antidote that Amy created, which should cure everyone just like it did me.
Ow! Something bit Uh hey what are we doing out here? [Lukas.]
Jonesy and Amy believe it will put an end to Richard's latest diabolical scheme.
[groaning.]
I can't believe this! It's not fair! I've lost control over my zombie police force! While that is tragic I am sure, I intercepted a transmission that you might find very interesting.
Ooh, do tell, partner.
According to their communication, Lukas and the two teens still have not located Kong.
Really? Well, hurry up and tell me everything you know.
Negative.
If I did, your entire head might explode since your brain is not equipped to hold that much information.
[laughing.]
Chalk up a point for you, but do continue, please.
Your enemies are already high in the mountains, where the last of the wild apes were believed to have gone extinct decades ago.
Who cares about Wait! "Were believed"? Are you saying Not me.
Your brother.
Listen.
[in Lukas' voice.]
But the good news is we've seen signs that there's a small troop of gorillas left in the wild living somewhere close.
Time to activate the bionobots, Botila! - We are going on a safari.
- [growling.]
[Anita humming.]
My babies will be hungry when they finally come home.
[Chatter.]
Bawk! Who's your baby now? [stomach growling.]
Oh, man, did you hear that? This time, it really was my stomach growling.
I'm starved.
I warned you not to eat all your rations at once.
- [monkeys chittering.]
- But here's Hey! Uh-oh, monkey plus laser-net equals major trouble! [grunting.]
We've got to get that back! [chittering.]
Right.
Follow those monkeys! I've always wanted to say that.
[all chittering.]
Can you do your "animal whisperer" thing with them? I'm trying, but they're just laughing at me and calling me names.
[chittering.]
[grunting.]
Whaddya mean "goofy-looking, clumsy, no-tail-monkey with a bad haircut"? [chittering.]
[grunting.]
That is totally wrong.
You're not clumsy.
[grunting and groaning.]
[laughing.]
I take that back.
[rumbling.]
[exclaiming.]
- [chittering.]
- [Lukas grunting.]
We're wasting time! [Panchi.]
Ooh! I have an idea.
How about a trade? Wow.
That was easy.
You had bananas? Don't hold out on me! I could starve! [scoffing.]
You just ate, like, an hour ago.
Hey, I'm a growing boy.
Cute.
Hey, maybe you should ask the monkeys if they've seen Kong.
Good idea, Panchi.
It's definitely worth a shot.
Hey, hairball! Have you seen our buddy? Thirty feet tall? Roar like thunder? [chittering.]
He says that the biggest gorilla they've ever seen was here a little while ago, but he won't tell me which way he went unless [chittering.]
Oh, you little cheat.
[Danny grunting.]
[hooting.]
- [sighing.]
Oh, no.
- Sorry.
[gasping.]
They say Kong went thataway.
Great! Let's go.
[chittering.]
Huh, what? What are they telling you, Danny? To stay away from there, from the river of fire.
If that's the way Kong went, that's where I'm going.
[chittering.]
[grunting.]
[groans.]
Man.
This is getting old.
[laughing.]
Danny! You just stumbled onto Kong's trail! [gorillas growling.]
[grunting and roaring.]
[gasping.]
And unfortunately theirs, too.
[Panchi.]
Oh, what do we do, Lukas? - [chittering.]
- [growling.]
Danny, can you whisper them out of attacking us? I want to, but they're really angry for some reason.
Uh, better net them just to be safe.
- [cocking.]
- [roars.]
- [clicking.]
- Or not.
Monkeys must have busted it.
[grunting.]
[Kong grunting.]
- All right! - Woohoo! Kong! [hooting.]
I'm so sorry for the way I treated you.
It's okay now.
I'm back to normal.
You know I love you, right? [grunting.]
[grunting.]
[roaring.]
[roaring.]
[whimpering.]
Okay, that just melts my heart.
[chuckling.]
No argument.
You found your peeps, bro! Oh, I'm so happy for you! [grunting.]
Kong's telling them that we're his friends, his other troop so they can trust us.
[hooting.]
Danny, you need to make sure Kong understands we all need get to off this volcano right away.
Whether or not Kong decides to stay with his new family [grunting.]
or return with us.
[hooting.]
I know.
It's a tough one, Kong.
But whatever you choose, we love you.
I thought I'd lost you So now, no matter what, we'll always be able to keep in touch.
Jonesy made this special com-unit for you.
- Hold out your arm.
- [grunting.]
Don't worry, I promise it won't hurt you.
He designed it to fit right in here.
See? [grunting.]
I know, right? How does Jonesy come up with this stuff? Testing, testing.
[Danny over com-unit.]
Testing, testing.
Now you talk into yours.
[grunting.]
- [Kong grunting over com-unit.]
- Whoa! It's definitely working! So now, we'll always be able to communicate.
No matter where you decide you want to live.
- [rumbling.]
- [Lukas gasping.]
Okay, let's move out! Things are heating up! You got that right, and not just because of the volcano.
Look! [screeching.]
Kong, incoming! [grunting.]
We have company.
[grunting.]
Could this day get any better? This is Dr.
Richard Remy.
For your own safety, leave this area at once.
We are in the process of apprehending internationally wanted and extremely dangerous criminals.
Forget it, Doctor.
This is the story of a lifetime.
Wrong answer.
If you won't listen to reason, then you'll have to listen to an EMP pulse generator.
[grunting.]
We've been hit! Power's cut! We're going down! Help them, Kong! The giant, Kong, saved our lives! [baby gorilla hooting.]
The baby! No! [hooting.]
[roaring.]
Keep baiting the big dumb ape towards the rim so my bionobots can finish him.
I'll take care of my brother.
This way! Run! [grunting.]
He's got us pinned down! What can we do? [monkeys chittering.]
What in the Ugh! [chittering.]
[groaning.]
Oh, I hope that was mud.
[Richard groaning.]
[crashing.]
Thank you! I owe you guys a million bananas! [chittering.]
[grunting.]
[grunting.]
Gorilla is not one of my 6,500 language programs, but I will venture a guess.
You want the baby back.
[cackling.]
Hmm still not quite right.
Catch! [grunting.]
[roaring.]
[Kong grunting over com-unit.]
- Kong's getting hammered! - I've got to help him! But your jetpack's almost out of power! [grunting.]
[Kong grunts.]
Kong-vator, now! [grunting.]
Got him! Okay, bro.
You are free to kick dino butt! [Kong roars.]
Here you go.
Now, run! Hide! [grunting.]
[grunts.]
[grunting.]
[roaring.]
[chittering.]
[roaring.]
Hold that pose.
Kong! Look out! [grunting.]
[gasping.]
[whimpering.]
[cackling.]
- Kong! - Please, no! I'm going up! Stay here! - [Danny.]
Kong needs our help! - Let's go! I just hope we have enough juice to make it! Uh-oh! [screaming.]
[Panchi grunts.]
Got you! [both grunting.]
[Lukas sighs.]
He's gone.
Once again, we are broadcasting live around the world, and have just witnessed the destruction of the monster ape, Kong! [sobbing.]
[sadly.]
Bawk! Bawk! Kong! Bawk! Bawk! Bawk! [Lukas sighing.]
I'm going down there to see if Kong is still alive.
- Let's do it! - No, Danny.
I want you to contact Jonesy and tell him and Amy to return here immediately to fly you home.
- Lukas, we - Please, don't argue.
This is hard enough.
I need to know you two are safe.
I hate this.
But we'll do what you want.
I'm calling Jonesy now.
I'm so freaked, I can hardly hold my phone.
[rumbling.]
[cell phone beeping.]
[breathing shakily.]
Anita? Oh, sorry, I meant to call Never mind.
Just tell Amy and Jonesy that we need [all screaming.]
No! You're always so concerned about your filthy ape so join him! [screaming.]
[all yelping.]
[screaming.]
[groaning.]
My jetpack's dead! [gasping.]
Mine, too! [Lukas.]
I've got you! - But we are too heavy! - We can't fly up! [reporter.]
From what we've witnessed here, it's clear that Richard Remy is the real criminal, and Kong the hero.
It appears we've judged him wrong all along.
Sadly, it's too late for Kong and his friends.
- [both gasping.]
- [sobbing.]
No! It cannot end like this.
[sniffling.]
They will find a way.
- It's starting to clear.
- I'm almost afraid to look.
Oh, you're gonna want to see this! [gasping.]
Unreal.
They're real, all right! Real live dinosaurs! [pterodactyls screeching.]
I finally got rid of Kong and now I'm going to make sure he's gone forever! Hmm.
I've heard that one before.
Shall I replay the last dozen times you have This cannot fail.
It's the perfect combination of science and nature.
The volcano is already unstable.
A simple series of laser explosions should cause a full-scale eruption.
That will destroy every village within 100 miles.
[Richard.]
Collateral damage.
My remaining bionobots should be sufficient to do the blasting.
[growling.]
Once Kong is eliminated, I'll be free to begin creating my new world order, making an army of next-generation bionobot AIs that will render all the others obsolete.
Meaning me.
Two sustained blasts at 90 degrees will weaken the walls enough to Richard, you may be a genius, but you're not very smart.
We will leave nature to take its own course, while I will give yours a little push.
What are you babbling [grunts.]
[screaming.]
[continues screaming.]
[upbeat music playing.]
