- It's not even done.
- I can't cook them any longer.
- That's not good.
Sam and Kamilly failed to come together The only thing that's missing is the wool, 'cause that's raw.
Ending their journey We'll never forget you! In the MasterChef kitchen.
Tonight Welcome to Ramsayville.
- Go, go, go! The final six Whoa.
Tackle the most intimidating challenge - Those are burnt.
- Move! In MasterChef Junior history.
- That one's missing fish.
- What are you doing? These are Michelin Star dishes Overcooked.
For owners of Michelin Star restaurants.
This is burnt.
I'm only nine years old.
- Ooh! - Ah! JJ.
Oh, man.
All of you, come on down.
I'm so close to that MasterChef Junior title that I can smell it.
I mean, this is the top six of MasterChef Junior, people.
Nobody in the bayou would believe that I made it to the top six.
This is crazy.
Welcome back to the MasterChef kitchen.
Right, Zac, how do you feel? - Good, Chef.
- Excellent.
Avery? - Wowzers! - And our youngest, isn't it your bedtime now? - It's not my bedtime! You guys are the best six home cooks in the entire country, which is a good thing, because if you weren't so skilled, you guys would have absolutely no chance in pulling off the challenge that awaits you.
- Oh.
- In two teams of three, you will all be catering a three-Michelin-Star level VIP lunch for the luminaries of the culinary world.
Three Michelin Star restaurant quality? Three Michelin Stars? You gotta be kidding me.
Do they not stress us enough? That lunch will be happening at someone's house.
Ooh.
Someone who knows good food.
Who demands world-class food.
Any idea who I'm talking about? Gordon Ramsay.
No way! Are you being serious right now? That's rightI'm having a very special lunch.
I've invited 20 friends, and you talented 6 will be cooking all the food.
- Oh, my God.
- Yes! I'm putting my reputation in the hands of Honestly, I think I've lost my mind.
It's going to be an honor to cook at your house.
Thank you, JJ.
Please don't burn it down.
Now, it's time to pick the teams.
Amaya and Addison, since you were both on the winning tag team in your last challenge, you two will be the team captains.
I'm definitely hoping to be on Addison's team because she is a great leader and she's proven that in previous team challenges.
Amaya, heads or tails? Tails.
If it's tails, you have first pick.
If it's heads, Addison, you get first pick.
Yes.
It is so important that I get to pick first.
Because if Addi picks Zac, her team is probably gonna win, so I have to get to him first.
Oh, gosh.
Good job, Amaya.
Tails.
- Oh, my gosh.
- All right, so, Amaya, it's time to pick.
- I'm gonna pick Zac.
- Whoo! - Whoo! Addison, who is gonna be your first pick? Kya.
Okay, Kya, come and grab your apron.
Even though Kya's the youngest one here, she has so much experience and she just cooks up a storm.
Amaya, your final pick will dictate both team's lineup.
I'm choosing Avery.
- Wow.
- Interesting.
Which means, JJ, you're in the Blue Team.
Please come up and pick your apron.
If you ask me, I hit a homerun.
I have JJ, me, and Kya the dream team.
All right, all of you listen carefully.
I'm gonna head home and get ready for my very important guests.
Drive carefully.
See you at home.
All right, guys, you ready to go face the scariest culinary challenge of your entire lives? - Yes, Chef! - Let's go.
This is so cool.
Graham, it's Gordon.
Listen, have a safe journey, and I look forward to seeing you shortly.
King George and I are waiting for you.
Say good-bye, George.
He said your food needs more salt.
This is the life.
I'm driving in a red convertible with Graham going to Gordon's house.
Yeah, no big deal.
Look how beautiful the house is.
Whoa! I think Gordon's house might look like a mansion like the White House.
Guys, we're about to pull up to Gordon's house.
Oh, my God.
George, look who's coming.
Hey.
Hello, Gordon.
I cannot believe that I am at Gordonius Ramsayius's house.
Welcome to Ramsayville, also known as my house.
And let me introduce you to King George.
Say hi.
Hey.
There's an amazing kitchen set up in the back of the garden, and the actual party itself will be happening here right in front of this beautiful lawn.
Are you guys ready? Yes, Chef! Come with me.
Let's go.
On the menu today are two courses adapted from Gordon's three Michelin star restaurant in London.
For the appetizer, our junior home cooks will be making a pan seared snapper with rainbow chard and a shellfish broth.
For the entree, a venison loin on a bed of bacon and cabbage with gnocchi, chanterelles, and a parsnip puree.
We're going to start the red snapper first.
Into the pan.
That's the noise you want to hear.
We're going to cook that Chard in hot pan, and a little teaspoon of garlic.
So, one pan, two pan, third pan, shellfish.
And what goes in first, the scallops, tentacles, or the razor clams? - Tentacles.
- Why? Because the scallops will cook really quickly.
Well done, Zac.
I'm trying to watch every little thing that Gordon's doing right now.
Now we're gonna start assembling the sauce.
Peppers in.
Sea asparagus.
There is a million ingredients.
This is the most difficult and complicated dish I've ever seen.
Chef, where do the razor clams go? Right after the scallops.
And there we have pan seared snapper with rainbow chard and a delicious shellfish broth.
I'm kind of freaking out right now.
I have to get every single flavor in my head right now.
I mean, this is gonna be really hard, and I'm the team captain.
Okay, good.
To the entrees the most amazing venison.
You got to roll the venison around, 30 seconds each side.
Gordon's menu is very complicated, but I've hunted deer before.
I know everything about them.
It's a very lean meat.
You have to be careful not to overcook it.
I mean, I think out team really has a shot at winning this now.
Lookbaste, baste, baste.
Goes in the oven.
Six minutes.
From there, chanterelles in with the gnocchi.
Look at that.
Wow.
See? There's so many steps.
I don't even think grownups can do this.
Geez, it's precise.
It is precise.
That's what freestyle's all about.
I think Gordon Ramsay's forgotten I'm only nine years old.
This is smoked paprika oil, parsnip chips and there you have it a delicious loin of venison.
Now, you guys will have just 50 minutes to cook that beautiful seafood appetizer.
At the end of that time, all of your appetizers need to be ready to be served to Gordon's guests.
You're going to be cooking 13 plates each, so work it out.
One important thing to note my guests today have no idea that the chefs cooking this extraordinary lunch are all aged between My reputation is at stake, but it's in your hands.
Are you guys ready? Yes, Chef.
Your 50 minutes starts now! Let's go.
- OrganizeAmaya.
- Amaya! Put 'em on high.
Get 'em on high.
As the teams race to set up their stations, out in the garden, Gordon's guests begin to arrive.
Since all 13 appetizers must be ready for service at the same time, it is up to the team captains to quickly devise a plan.
I think you should do the rainbow chard.
Can I do the snapper? You do the fish, you do the fish.
I've asked Zac to do the rainbow chard, Avery to do the red snapper, and I will be doing the seafood.
Oh, gosh, these are slimy.
While Red Team captain Amaya has assigned each team member a different component to cook, Blue Team captain Addison takes another approach.
Put your fish on there.
Don't let it curl.
Yes, Chef.
My team strategy is I want everyone to make their own plates.
Addison, Kya, remember, help each other if we need help.
So, Gordon, you have three cooks each.
How would you divide the labor if that was your team? Three talented cooks in each team, You're going to have to divide and conquer.
Four, four, and five.
So they just focus on four portions each.
- Yeah.
And the one that feels the strongest does five portions.
Did you get your scallops in, Kya? - Not yet.
- Come on, come on, come on.
For me today, the team that loses is the team that's not in sync.
Guys, we got to get going, all right? We're not even, like, talking to each other.
- I know.
- Amaya, you have to we have to talk.
Let's go Red Team, Blue Team.
Are you doing one pan at a time? No, I'm gonna start these other ones.
Oh, gosh.
The Red Team right now we need to get moving.
Red Team, tell me who's doing what.
I'm making the broth and the rainbow chard.
You're doing all the rainbow chard and all the broth? - Yes, Chef.
- What are you doing, Amaya? I'm doing the razor clams with the For how many portions? Right now, these are two plates.
- Avery, what are you doing? - I'm doing the fish, Chef.
How many portions have you got in? I've got three portions in so far.
Red Team, Red Team, look, come here.
Come here, come here.
All of you, two seconds.
- Yeah.
- Come here.
This isn't working.
You're cooking two portions.
You're cooking three portions.
How many portions are you cooking? - Three, Chef.
- How many have I asked for? - 13.
- 13.
You can't just cook three portions of fish.
I haven't done a lot of team leading in my life.
I'm just a ten-year-old girl in fourth grade.
I mean, this is really hard.
I don't know what we're gonna do.
We are on course for a disaster.
We are on course for a disaster.
You're cooking two portions.
You're cooking three portions.
How many portions are you cooking? - Three, Chef.
- How many have I asked for? - 13.
- 13.
Let's work this out.
Can you cook four fish on your own? - Yes, Chef.
- Rainbow chard on your own? - Yes, Chef.
- Can you? - Yes, Chef.
- Four portions on your own.
Four portions on your own, and five portions.
- Yes, Chef.
- What does that make? - 13.
- 13.
Come on then, guys.
Please, let's go.
Zac, step up, please.
For today's challenge, our junior home cooks must prepare a three-Michelin Star-quality lunch.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
The pressure is on as both teams scramble to complete the highly technical appetizer course A pan seared red snapper with rainbow chard and a shellfish broth.
Flip 'em over and leave 'em on their skin side until you're ready to go.
These are the most complicated dishes that I've ever had to cook in my entire life.
We have to get on our A-game.
I do not want to go back home right now.
I mean, I want to go to the finale.
I just can't help but ask myself have we given them too difficult of a job? Yeah, no.
Honestly, I think these six are definitely strong enough to pull this off.
And garlic and shallots to your rainbow chard.
The stakes couldn't be higher.
Gordon Ramsay's reputation is on the line.
Out in the garden, anticipation is building as 20 of Gordon's friends and business associates gather for this special occasion.
They have no idea that their lunch is being prepared by cooks between the ages of 8 and 12.
Gordon knows how to throw an excellent party.
All the attention to detail.
I mean, he knows how to do it.
He does it big, and he does it beautiful.
- How's everyone doing? - We are doing great.
Every party I've ever been to in the past has been nothing but top-notch, so I'm expecting a great meal.
Come on.
We got guests to serve, guys.
We have all of the environment.
We have a great table set up, so everything should be 9 1/2, Guys, this fish is burnt.
Kya, get it out.
Kya.
Sorry.
Kya, you gotta make sure that doesn't burn.
Yes, Chef.
Timing is everything in this challenge.
There's no room for mistakes.
We can't serve burnt red snapper.
I mean, that's the main protein of the dish.
Come on, Kya.
Get your fish in.
- Okay, yes, Chef! - Ten minutes, guys.
Start plating, please.
Okay, somebody start plating these.
Avery, lay out the plates first, lay them out.
Finally, the Red Team got their act together.
That's good news.
- They're starting to gel.
Amaya stepped up and she's getting organized, and she's communicating properly.
- Good, good.
- How's the Blue Team doing? Very rocky.
Addison really, for me, is the only one that I see stepping up in the Blue Team.
Kya and JJ keep looking around when something goes wrong to their captain, like, "Fix this problem for me.
" Which one do I deglaze with white wine? Addison, which one do I deglaze with white wine? Right there.
Hurry.
The key to getting these appetizers out is staying on the same page, and I look at JJ, and he's in a different book.
JJ, where's your sauce? You got your broth there, yes? - Uh, yeah, sure.
- Where's your peppers? - Right here.
- I gotright here, or - JJ, look at me, young man.
- Yes, Chef? There's your sauce there.
Come on.
- Come on, come on.
- Look, you just go like that.
And go in there like that.
- All right.
And then mix it up, and then you serve that, right? - Yes, Chef.
- But too much broth in there, and there's no olive oil in there.
- Uh, I forgot, Chef.
- Put olive oil.
- Are you okay? - Yes, Chef.
Good.
Let's go.
- Making these Michelin Star dishes sounds easier than it really is, but this is the top six of MasterChef Junior.
We cannot expect it to be easy.
please, let's go.
Yes, Chef! This is crunch time.
Go, go, go.
All systems arego.
We're out of scallops.
Make some more scallops.
Make some more scallops.
JJ, what are you doing? We're out of scallops, Chef.
How many scallops are you short of? Uh, one, two eight, Chef.
One, two, eight? Come on, guys, please? My team's a complete mess.
- Any regrets so far? - Yes.
Let's go, let's go! Expectations are high.
Let's go.
Where's a piece of fish? I need a piece of fish.
Service, please.
That one's missing fish.
Well, I am not keeping all my guests waiting now because you guys are one portion short.
- Where? - Check for the table, JJ.
Ten, nine, eight JJ, where's another piece of fish? - Seven, six, five, four - Come on, you guys, faster.
Three, two The waiters are here.
- We're done.
Done.
- Done.
I can't believe we're missing a red snapper right now.
This couldn't go any worse.
Blue Team, leave the plate at the end with no fish on there.
I'll pick that up.
Let's go.
We're missing a red snapper.
I mean, that's the main protein of the dish.
As the team captain, that's just embarrassing.
Amaya, great job.
So that's for me, right? That's for me at my own dinner party.
Guys.
Tch.
Oh, dear.
If his venison isn't perfect, two of us are going home.
I know.
Service has begun for the first course of Gordon's three-Michelin Star lunch.
In attendance at Gordon's house are 20 of his closest friends and business associates from the culinary world.
- Hi, guys, ladies.
Welcome.
Hi.
Great to see you guys.
Thank you so much for joining us on this very special day.
Please.
Ready for an exciting lunch? Yes.
Cheers.
To MasterChef.
To MasterChef.
And dig in, please.
For the appetizer, both teams have prepared a red snapper with rainbow chard in a seafood broth.
Each of Gordon's guests, along with Graham and Christina, will taste only one team's dish, and their feedback will play a crucial role in helping Gordon determine a winner.
Look at that compared to that right there.
Yep.
But your scallop's got color.
- Yeah.
- My scallop looks boiled.
How are you enjoying your red snapper from the Red Team? I like it, I like it.
The skin's nice and crisp and the fish is nice and soft.
So, Brian, you've got the red snapper from the Blue Team.
- Yes, I do.
- How is that? I'm gonna say that the searing maybe another 30 seconds.
But other than that, I thought it was a home run.
Unfortunately, the Blue Team was somewhat lagging, and they've forgotten my fish.
Would you like some of my fish from the Red Team? I'm fine, thank you, darling.
Thank you.
Loved the sear that was on the snapper itself.
Nice and crispy.
I loved it.
And the broth was great.
Right, Red Team, Blue Team, listen up, please.
My guests enjoyed their delicious appetizer.
Now, keep that momentum up.
Yes, Chef! Your 60 minutes to nail that delicious venison dish starts now.
Let's go, guys.
- JJ, you're on that side.
Season it all.
Both teams now race to complete Gordon's Michelin starred entree of venison loin on a bed of bacon and cabbage with gnocchi, chanterelles, and a parsnip puree.
However, Addison is worried about her Blue Team's morale.
This is it.
Top four is just around the corner.
I am definitely feeling the pressure, because I don't know if we can pull this off.
Addison, 30 seconds.
Come here.
Yes, Chef.
Now, listen, what do you do in a softball game when you're losing and you need your team to pull together? - You help them.
- Come on.
Do you want to leave this competition? - No, Chef.
- We had a slow start.
If there's ever a time now that you need to step up, JJ, everything in your pan.
Don't just do one at a time.
Everything, everything cooking.
We have two pans done.
Good, Addison, well done.
I want more of that.
Let's go.
Come on, guys.
We always say the most important thing is how you finish, so what do you think that each of these teams has learned from doing that appetizer? I mean, each team understands that communication is pivotal, because time is of the essence.
- Yeah.
Just watch these like a hawk.
Searing that venison has gotta be done gently.
You gotta cook that with love.
Almost more delicately than you do with a filet mignon.
There's no fat on there, so if they sear it too heavy, it's dry on the outside.
And then baste.
Baste, baste, baste.
Remember, it's gonna cook a little bit while you're basting it especially, 'cause that butter is very hot.
Ah! Hot.
Okay, they gotta start going in the oven.
Yes, Chef! If you don't cook it properly the first time around, you could really get yourself into trouble after you serve it.
All right, get it in.
Six minutes.
While Addison gets her Blue Team refocused Break apart the cabbage before you put it in, okay? Whoa.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
On the Red Team, Amaya is feeling the pressure of cooking the complex entree course.
I think these are just about done.
- Wait, is it 450 degrees? - 350.
No, 'cause then it's not six minutes.
- It's 350, Amaya, 6 minutes.
- No, it's not 6 minutes! The venison has to be cooked perfectly, but Amaya doesn't know what she's doing.
And that's really bad because she's the team captain.
Amaya, these areAmaya.
Those are burnt.
Oh, my Gosh! Amaya, what's going on with you? Oh, gosh.
I don't even think we even have time for this.
Amaya, it doesn't matter.
Justjust get it done.
I'm super worried, 'cause Amaya's crumbling like a piece of paper.
Is everything okay, Amaya? I've never seen you like this before.
You burned your cabbage.
What's going on? I don't know.
It burnt.
This is when you dig deep, show your team that you've got this.
That you know how to turn it around, and that you guys are going to make the best venison dishes those guests have ever seen.
- Yes, Chef.
Right? You're the leader.
It says "Team Captain" on here.
Right now, I gotta get back in the game.
We cannot lose this challenge.
I cannot go home.
Amaya, how you looking? You back in? It's almost done.
Oh, and I never got out.
Youoh, ho, you never got out of the game! That's my girl.
Let's go Red Team, Blue Team, let's go.
The venison should be out on your tray resting.
Hey, how much more time on your guys' venison? I hope you're watching.
- 30 seconds.
Ooh! It's super heavy.
One pan at a time.
It's gonna continue to cook, so you need to rest it and get it on a rack.
Shoo.
Where do I put it? Just leave it on here.
You make it so difficult for yourselves.
Look.
Put it downput it down there.
Put it down.
Ah! Ah! - JJ.
Are you okay? Ay-yi-yi.
Ah! Are you okay, Chef? You make it so difficult for yourselves.
Look.
Put it downput it down there.
Put it down.
Ah! Ah! - JJ.
Are you okay? Ay-yi-yi.
Ah! Put the tray down, put it down.
Just put it down, put it down.
Are you okay, Chef? Sorry, Chef.
I just spilled hot venison and scorching hot butter on the greatest chef in the world's foot.
Don't worry, don't worry, don't worry.
Close the oven door, please.
Thank yousafety first.
Two more portions of venison on, please.
Let's go.
- Yes, Chef.
Gordon Ramsay, he took his foot out of his shoe.
He's kind of hopping around.
He really got hurt.
- Are you okay? - Yeah, it's fine.
It's just I can't do my laces up tight.
I mean, honestly, right now JJ's served more venison on my feet than he has on the plate.
We got 20 minutes, guys, and we have to speed up.
Start plating, please.
- Come on, come on, come on, come on.
- Yes, Chef.
As both teams begin the very detailed task of plating the entrees, on the Red Team, Gordon spots a serious problem with Amaya's venison.
Can I get two more pans, please? Amaya, look.
Oh.
- Red Team.
- Yes, Chef? This is resting, and look.
Overcooked.
Well, just touch it, guys.
- You can feel it.
- We can't serve that.
Mm-mm.
This is definitely going to put Red in a bad spot.
- Who's cooking this? - Me.
This is overcooked as well.
Oh, man.
- Amaya.
- Guys.
- Oh, Gosh.
- Have we got any more venison? - Just two.
Oh, no.
Okay, get them in a pan.
How are these? - Um - Nice, nice.
- Thank you, Chef.
How long were they in the oven for? Nice.
- They were six minutes exactly.
- Nice, nice, nice, nice.
- Zac? - Yes, Chef? - Two seconds, please, quickly.
- Yes, Chef.
- Is Amaya okay? - I don't know.
She's not talking to us.
I've tried to help her.
You're 12 years old.
You understand pressure.
- Yes, Chef.
Based on the tennis background.
I need you to dig deep and get this team to victory.
- Yes, Chef.
I will, Chef.
- Get a meeting and get them in the game.
Let's go.
- Yes, Chef.
- Quickly.
- Avery, you cook that.
And, Amaya, you help me with this, all right? Zac's smarthe's at least helping delegate.
- Yes - If Amaya can't cook venison properly, at least assign it to someone like Avery who can.
Addison, check the venison, please.
Make sure you've got Yes, Chef.
And, um Blue Team, come here a minute.
Come here.
Come here.
One serious question.
I asked for what? Two more portions of venison.
Where are they? - Nowhere.
- JJ, he told you, "JJ, cook two more pieces of venison.
" We dropped a pan of venison.
I turned around and said, "Stop what you're doing," and do what? You told me to to get two more venison.
Right.
So just stay there, because I've just spotted this, and we're about to plate andhold your hands out.
Our venison is raw.
- Yes, Chef.
And I don't think we're working as well as we can.
I don't think the Blue Team wants to win this, and I think all three of you are ready to go home.
kids: No, Chef.
Now, would like you to go back in the car, and I'll finish this, and I'll do the whole table myself because I'm really sorry.
- No, Chef.
Nobody's got each other's back.
Do you want me to do this and you guys go home? kids: No, Chef! Can we step up then, please? kids: Yes, Chef! - Let's go.
JJ, cook the venison now.
Hurry.
I cannot believe this right now.
We're running out of time.
We're running out of energy.
But I'm not gonna let this team fall apart on my watch.
Ten minutes, guys, before we start serving these entrees, let's go.
Come on, JJ, you better be cooking that fast.
It's in the oven, guys.
JJ, you are gonna cut and put the meat on, okay? Go, go.
JJ, if you mess up that venison, it's all on you right now.
I feel like I let my team down, and I'm gonna turn this around right now.
I've hunted venison.
I know how to cut the venison.
And I'm good.
Someone slices.
Avery, can you slice? I'll slice it.
Avery's doing stuff.
- I'll do it.
- Zac, if you need to, you gotta relinquish the slicing duty.
All right, very thin.
See how small that is, okay? And then you need five pieces, so about there.
See, look, like that, okay? It has to be thin.
It's gotta be perfect, guys.
This isn't like chopping onions.
Where's the puree? Slicing the meat right is really crucial because it's a three-Michelin Star dish.
Two minutes, guys.
Let's go.
Red Team, Blue Team, please.
I just really hope that Amaya knows what she's doing, or we're pretty much doomed.
We might as well just pack it up.
Two minutes, guys.
Let's go.
Red Team, Blue Team, please.
Amaya, that's way too thin.
Look how thin that is.
- Zac, I need your help.
Avery, Amaya's not slicing the meat right.
I am the oldest, and I have to step up to the plate I'm gonna try for the parsnip.
Otherwise we're not gonna win this challenge, and two of us are gonna go home.
- How's the Red Team? - Good.
They're looking good.
Incredible.
I'm impressed with Zac.
He seems to be composed and calm.
He's a multitasker, that's for sure.
He's strong enough of a cook to make a mistake and be able to recover.
Guys, I have one more piece of venison to slice.
Like, perfect.
- Let's go Red Team, Blue Team.
Just under 90 seconds to go.
We got this, guys.
- How's Blue Team? Blue Team are finishing strong.
Finesse, finesse.
I cannot get over how Kya, eight years old, and Addison, nine years old, are putting together these dishes.
We got this, we got this, we got this.
Guys, I cannot put all these chips on.
Ten, nine, eight, seven - Wait! - Six, five, four, three, two - Come on, come on, come on.
Hands in the air.
Well done.
Good job.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Please be careful, please.
Thank you.
Please be careful with the chips.
Thank you.
I know that I probably wasn't the best leader, but I know that I sure tried the best that I could, and I think that we're going to win this challenge.
So, Gordon, at this point do you think any of your guests have guessed that their meal's prepared by kids? No.
They got no idea that these guys are aged between 8 and 12.
No idea.
- That looks awesome! - They look stunning.
I mean, literally stunning.
- Looks great, guys.
- Wow.
Thank you, Chef.
Enjoy.
Even though in the beginning we were kinda losing and not communicating, but in the end, our entrees were perfect, and it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
With entree service complete, the fate of our junior home cooks now lies in the hands of the judges.
Bon appetit, guys.
The winner will be decided based on taste, presentation, and overall team performance.
The winning team will move on to the semifinals, while the losing team will see at least two junior home cooks go home.
And Michael, you got the venison from the Blue kitchen.
- Yes, I do.
- How is it, sir? It's very well-seasoned.
Perfect texture.
Cooked perfectly.
Visually, I have to say the plate was stunning.
It looked like a piece of art.
I love it.
Exceeded my expectation.
Nice and tender.
We did great.
We did great.
Win or lose, we did our best.
We won't lose.
So, Casey, how's the cook on your venison? It's wonderful.
You know, when it first hit the table, I thought it was beautiful.
If I had one constructive criticism, the Blue Team's venison was slightly overcooked.
It definitely looks like it's over from there.
Damn, damn, damn, damn.
Ernie, how's the cook on the venison? Well, mine looks like it's medium rare.
Quite tender, prepared perfectly.
I have the best of both worlds.
Red Team's presentation for me was incredible.
I felt that the cabbage needed a touch more seasoning.
Blue Team's was done beautifully as well.
Season on point, really good indeed.
Very tough call.
Can I just say a big thank you.
Well done.
Thank you.
Salud.
Brilliant.
What a lovely lunch.
Would you like to meet our phenomenal chefs? Yes.
Please.
Let me introduce you to six phenomenal amateur chefs.
Oh! Let me introduce you, ladies and gentlemen, to six talented MasterChef Junior phenomenons.
All of these VIP just ate our food.
I am so proud of our team.
That's a nice surprise.
That's a nice surprise.
That was the hardest challenge ever.
But to cook for Gordon Ramsay's friends, it's a dream come true.
What is your guys' training? What's the background? Kya, how did you start cooking? How I started cooking is back then in Hong Kong Back then, like eight years ago.
What is your date of birth again, please? August, 2006.
I haven't seen the passport yet, so I do not believe her.
Did everGordon yell at you? both: Yes.
Are you kidding me? All the time.
Me? Right.
Listen, Red Team, Blue Team.
You both did a phenomenal job, but you know this is a competition, and sadly, there can only be one winning team.
We have deliberated.
We've tasted everything you've cooked today, and we've watched how you all performed as a team, and we decided - Oh, God.
That this is way too important to decide now.
We're gonna sleep on it, and we'll see you back in the MasterChef kitchen.
Graham, Christina, please have a safe trip back.
I'll see you tomorrow back in the MasterChef kitchen.
Well done, guys.
Thank you.
Thank you, guys.
Bye! Thank you so much for liking our food.
Bye! Come on down, guys.
Nice to see you all.
I am a nervous wreck.
I know we had our ups and downs.
Maybe the appetizer was not our best, but the entree was beautiful.
All this that I fought for, I am going to the semifinals.
I really hope that we win this challenge.
Yesterday, I invited all of you to my house to cook at a very important lunch.
All of you, you did an amazing job.
Well done.
kids: Thank you, Chef.
Amaya, let's start with you.
How do you think you did? I don't think that I was perfect.
At the beginning, we were not really communicating, but at the end, I think that we got ourselves together pretty well.
Addison, how do you think you did? I think we did a great job.
It was very challenging to pull it back together, but I think in the end, our final product was amazing.
You guys know this is a competition, and you know we had to make a very difficult decision.
It's so hard to figure out which one of your teams did just a little better, but in this challenge, there can only be one winning team.
The losing team will be facing elimination, where at least two young home cooks will be going home.
The team that goes through to the semifinals is The team that goes through to the semifinals Congratulations - Red Team.
- Yes! Oh, my Gosh.
Oh, my Gosh.
Red Team, well done.
When things went wrong, you picked one another up.
You rallied around one another, and you succeeded.
You kept those three-Michelin Star dishes at the level that we expected and the level that we demanded.
Please head up to the galley.
Good job, guys.
I'm, like, this is, like, amazing and sad all at the same time.
I mean, good thing we won and nobody goes home on our team, but what about the Blue Team? Those people are really my friends, and I don't want to see them go.
Addison, 9 years old from Illinois, JJ, 12, from Texas, and Kya, just 8 years old from California.
Two of you will see your MasterChef journey end here.
Trust me, it's been a very difficult decision to make.
Probably the hardest one we've ever had to make so far in this competition.
The young cook that we are going to be saving, the one who will join Zac, Amaya, and Avery on the balcony and move into the semifinals of MasterChef Junior, that person is Addison.
Oh, my God.
Addison, when your team got in the trenches, you hung in there, you motivated, but more importantly, you maintained the standards.
Great job.
How are you feeling? I'm very proud of myself to get to the semifinals, but also I'm very disappointed to see Kya and JJ go.
Please say good-bye to JJ and Kya and head upstairs.
Kya.
Bye, guys.
- Bye.
Keep cooking.
Oh, dear, Kya and JJ, this doesn't get easy for any of us.
Kya, from your sous vide poached chicken breast and red wine to some of the most amazing dishes, you have literally blown us away.
How are you feeling, my darling? Even though I'm a little disappointed that I got eliminated, but I'm happy that I made it this far.
JJ, I can see you having an amazing Texas steakhouse.
And when you get that open, call me.
- Yes, Chef.
- I'll be there first.
Yes, Chef.
Both of you come up and say good-bye.
Take care, my darling.
Oh, man.
Come here, "Mr.
Hunter.
" Good to see you, bud.
- Great job.
- I'm gonna miss you.
Right, JJ, four left.
You know them inside out.
In your mind, who's gonna become America's next MasterChef Junior? - Zac.
- Wow, interesting.
Kya? I think Addison's going to become the next MasterChef Junior.
Guys, safe trip home.
Take care.
- Bye.
- Bye, guys.
- Bye, guys.
- Bye, JJ.
I'm only 12 years old, but I did my best, and I'm going back to Texas a much stronger cook than I was ever before.
So much soul in the flavor of that enchilada sauce.
That is delicious.
Even though I didn't win the MasterChef Junior trophy, I still feel really proud of myself.
Whether you like it or not, at eight years of age, you are a freak.
And I'll never, ever forget when I get to put the marshmallow bomb, andboom! Marshmallows! My journey in the MasterChef Junior kitchen was amazing.
I'll never forget it.
All right, JJ.
It is the leaning tower of croque-en-bouche.
Gordon, sorry for burning your leg.
- Ah! - Are you okay? But thank you for giving a chance to a small town kid from Texas.
- Well done.
The one thing I learned in the MasterChef kitchen is you just got to feel happy and proud of yourself for everything you did.
It's not the end, it's just the beginning.
I can't imagine what I'm going to do when I'm 18.
Next week This is the semifinals of MasterChef Junior.
The final four compete for a spot in the finale.
Bake, bake, bake.
Only two will rise and earn the chance of winning $100,000 Holy guacamole.
And the title of America's MasterChef Junior.
- Go, go, go, go, go.
- You are the four best left in this competition.
This is the most intense thing Ever! - This is gonna be a hard one.
- Very hard.
