The Voice US (2011) s04e06 Episode Script

The Blind Auditions, Part 6

1 DALY: Tonight I hope you're somewhere praying DALY: it's the biggest night of the season yet - Whoo! - Yeah! Make it rain DALY: as our coaches complete their teams with some of the greatest voices they've ever heard.
Go big or go home Go big or go home DALY: Adam needs two more artists to fill his team while Alicia, Kelly, and Blake each have one spot left.
- Yeah! - KELLY: I know the battle rounds are coming up, so I'm looking for people that are different and that will elevate the rest of my team.
That was from the soul, like, down here, like, "Watch out!" Your voice sounded like perfection to me.
I am so beyond stunned.
I'm sorry.
I'm totally gonna cry.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
I'll be over here.
[Laughter.]
DALY: Who will get the final spots My team is full! and the opportunity to work with our superstar coaches - in the upcoming battles? - Yes! DALY: Find out right now! Let's see if the first artist of the night has what it takes to fill a team.
I'm Genesis Diaz, I'm 19, and I'm from Miami, Florida.
My parents were born in Cuba, and I was born here, so I'm first-generation Cuban-American.
[Speaking Spanish.]
My parents were both in the same band in Cuba for their whole entire childhood.
And my mom came to America to pursue her singer-songwriter dream.
And then, a few years later, my dad came in a sailboat that he made himself for the same thing.
He risked his life.
He's my hero.
Doing music here is a lot harder than in Cuba, so both my parents, they had to give it all up for us.
So, this is definitely an American dream coming true.
[Speaking Spanish.]
[Singing indistinctly.]
I sang once when I was 6, but I didn't really know I had it in me until, in high school, I joined a band called The Band Sisters.
I was in that band for about a year, and we would play in restaurants, charity events, but I just wanted to explore the soloist world.
After high school, I would just do little gigs around Miami.
"The Voice" is the biggest opportunity I have ever gotten.
I've had the greatest support system [voice breaking.]
any human can ask for, which is my family.
They've given up so much for me so I can be here.
Sorry.
Having a chair turn, just one it would just mean the world to me, and I just want to make them proud.
You almost had me fooled Told me that I was nothing without you And after everything you've done I can thank you for how strong I have become 'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell I had to learn how to fight for myself And we both know all the truth I could tell I'll just say this is I wish you farewell I hope you're somewhere praying Praying I hope your soul is changing Changing I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees, praying Oh, sometimes, I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees Praying Find your peace, praying [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, no! No.
He's disqualified.
[Laughs.]
[Gasps.]
Oh, my God.
You got Adam! What is your name? I'm Genesis Diaz, I'm 19 years old, and I'm from Miami.
Genesis that's my son's name, too.
- Ooh.
- Really? That's incredible.
Genesis, well, you want to be with a leader or a follower? [Laughter.]
I was the spark, and Blake came smoldering after.
So, you should remember that when you're picking your coach.
I think you're tremendous.
What are your biggest influences? Alicia, um, my first song was "If I Ain't Got You," so Oh, my gosh.
it means a lot just being right here in front of you.
Oh, my gosh.
You are so beautiful.
And you are so unique, so I'm so excited for you.
- Thank you for your love back.
- Thank you so much.
- Yes.
- Thank you.
[Applause.]
- Did you say you're from Miami? - Yeah.
The only thing that makes me a little bit nervous is, Adam looks like he works at a resort in Miami right now.
So, I'm afraid there might be some sort of a connection.
Genesis, I have one spot left on my team, and wouldn't be possible for me to be happier for you to be the person who completes Team Blake this season.
[Cheers and applause.]
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you, guys, too.
Yes.
You may be seated.
[Cheering.]
Thank you.
Thank you.
Go ahead, Adam.
I'm sorry.
Go ahead.
You weren't just cranked up to 11 the whole time.
When you were soft, you were soft.
When you were in your false, you were in your false.
I really started thinking about all these ideas and all of these ways in which you can thrive on this show.
You are amazing.
[Applause.]
That is a big song, and you nailed those notes.
Also, something about you is just so captivating.
- Thank you.
- Genesis, who do you pick as your coach? [Audience shouting.]
Come on, Genesis! Come on! Uh I'm gonna have to pick Come on.
- Adam.
- Yeah! Boo! Genesis is awesome.
Singing any song that's that dramatic requires a big voice, and she had it.
Super, super talented.
You did such a beautiful job.
She did a really great job, but I have a lot of singers that are kind of similar to her, so that's the only reason why I didn't turn.
This is incredible.
I can't believe it.
Ha-ha! [Laughter.]
[Cheers and applause.]
DALY: Coming up, Kelly can't take it anymore.
I'm gonna be real, y'all.
I'm freakin' out.
Alicia, you broke Kelly Clarkson.
I didn't.
DALY: And with only a few spots remaining, the artists give it everything they've got.
Make it rain ALICIA: My team is full! DALY: And then, don't miss an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming battles.
Whoo.
Show me an open door I love that so much.
I got goose bumps.
[Both vocalizing.]
It didn't feel like a battle.
This felt like an incredible Grammy performance.
Yes! This is "The Voice" DALY: Welcome back to the blind auditions.
Let's meet the next artist of the night.
SHARANE: My name is Sharane Calister.
I am 24 years old, and I am from Des Moines, Iowa.
I grew up mainly on gospel music.
My grandma forced me and my twin sister to be in the choir, and then we just grew to love it, and I couldn't sing without her.
My childhood was difficult.
My parents dealt with substance abuse, so me and my sister lived with our grandma from 3 to 6 years old.
But she got really sick, and, um, she just wasn't able to take care of us, so we got placed in foster care.
And at age 10, I was adopted, but my twin sister was not able to live with me, and it hurt.
[Voice breaking.]
Being away from your twin is so hard, you know? Sorry.
[Sniffles.]
Growing up without your siblings, growing up without your parents, was like taking away my life.
But when I got to high school, the best day of my life was the first day in choir class when I see my twin sister there.
[Chuckles.]
SHANICE: For five years, I didn't get to see my sister.
There was times where I didn't want to go home, you know, because that's the only time I got to be with her was at school.
SHARANE: I was pretty happy that we were able to experience music together again.
After high school, I wanted to study music, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to afford it.
Now, I'm a security guard.
They let me perform if I need to take time off.
So, I love my job, but if I could do music full-time, I would be the happiest girl in the world.
I am singing "Make It Rain" by Ed Sheeran.
The song has so much meaning to me.
Make it rain like, make all the pain just come out.
So, I'm gonna release all my pain out on that stage and leave it there.
You only have one left.
One left.
You too, right? Yeah.
Oh, my God.
There she goes.
Oooh-ooh-oo-oo-ooh When the sins of my father Weigh down in my soul And the pain of my mother Will not let me go Shut it out And let the clouds fill with thunderous applause When it's time to make a change Make it rain I'll make it rain Make it rain [Cheering.]
Oh, make it rain Make it rain Oooh Make it rain down - Press the button! - We're not gonna have a chance.
Make it rain Rain Oh, make it rain Make it rain Press the button! Make it rain I'm not gonna win.
Press the button! [Cheers and applause.]
[Alicia laughs.]
Alicia Keys.
She was like, "Kelly!" - [Laughs.]
- What's your name? My name is Sharane Calister.
I am 24 years old, and I am from Des Moines, Iowa.
Yeah.
Oh, my God! Go, twin! I'm gonna tell you, I turned around not because I mean, she was hilarious.
She loves you, obviously.
She yelled at me to turn around.
But it's disrespectful when you don't turn around for someone - with that kind of talent.
- Yes, Adam.
So So, I tur You didn't, either! You didn't, either.
[Applause.]
It took me forever just because I am weary from getting, just, not picked when this girl turns her chair.
[Laughter.]
I didn't read, like, the life-coach book before I came out.
I don't know.
I can obviously tell you're a fan of her.
There you go.
Yep.
I'll be over here.
[Laughter.]
I have never in my life heard someone say things like that before.
- 'Cause I'm broken, y'all.
- Alicia, look what you did, man.
- You broke Kelly Clarkson.
- I'm broke.
You broke me.
I didn't.
Okay, let me tell you something about Kelly Clarkson.
[Cheers and applause.]
ALICIA: Come on.
Tell her.
Tell her about Kelly Clarkson, Adam.
Kelly Clarkson number one is a saint! - That's true.
- She sings like an angel, or like a lion whatever she feels.
[Laughter.]
And by the way, she is absolutely incredible.
Don't you love Kelly Clarkson? [Laughs.]
I do love Kelly.
I'm a big fan of you, so - Okay.
Thank you.
- I love your voice.
So, you're sayin' there's a chance.
[Laughter.]
That was so powerful.
Your voice sounded like perfection to me.
The low notes were so passionate and genuine, and then when you went high, it was like bangin'.
Whatever your journey has been has absolutely led you to be able to share that type of performance.
Can you tell me a little bit about your story? I'm adopted.
Me and my twin sister got separated.
I wasn't able to grow up with my family.
I wasn't able to grow up with a mom or a dad.
I was finally able to actually see my twin sister and actually be with her at the age of 18, so I just put all of that that pain into my music.
Okay.
You go, twin! I'm sorry.
I'm totally gonna cry.
- But I'm not.
- I'm gonna cry.
But that was a really remarkable story.
That's what makes great artists having all those hurdles and just see what you're gonna do with those cards, and I-I'm curious.
- Does your sister sing? - She sure does.
Wait! Will you be on my team?! Yes! I sure will! [Laughter.]
Okay.
For God sakes, who do you pick as your coach? Please.
I-I-I need you.
I would love to have you on my team.
[Audience shouting.]
Oh, my gosh.
Go, twin! You're amazing, incredible.
I love you, Kelly but I have to go with Alicia.
- That's my girl.
- Yeah! Sharane her voice was so ridiculous.
- Oh, my God.
- You are so magnificent.
She had this emotion, this feeling.
And I can't wait to see what we'll explore with that kind of combination.
By the way, my team is full! My team is full! Whoo-hoo! - Thank you so much.
- Congratulations.
What was your pelvic-thrust thing, there? [Laughter.]
[Indistinct shouting.]
Yeah! I told you! You're full.
- I'm full, yes.
- Yes.
We have a chance.
I'm so happy.
[Both laugh.]
I hope the most badass singer comes out here and you're so sad about it.
This is "The Voice" DALY: Welcome back to the final night of the blind auditions.
Hi.
[Laughs.]
This is crazy.
This is, like, a dream come true.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm Dallas Caroline.
I'm 17 years old, and I'm from Santa Rosa, California.
TARA: Dallas was actually named after a country song Alan Jackson's song "Dallas.
" It's kind of funny because now Dallas wants to be a country artist.
DALLAS: So, I started singing when I was 8, and I started playing guitar when I was 12.
In eighth grade, I started homeschooling because I wanted to be able to really devote to my singing.
She would, you know, stay up late and play guitar and write music, and it would just seem to be the only thing she wanted to do.
This is in her heart.
This is in her soul.
We wanted to support her all the way.
DALLAS: Last summer, I took the high-school proficiency exam and I passed, so I'm a high-school graduate.
Last June, I was able to play CMA Fest in Nashville.
To be around country-music superstars and play the same festival as them was such a dream come true for me.
Last October, my hometown was hit with the second-biggest wildfire in California history.
There was a lot of lives lost.
I have so many friends who've lost everything, and while it's so devastating, it's also beautiful to see the community come together and help each other.
I'm singing "Always On My Mind" by Willie Nelson to represent my community and just be able to say, "You're always on my mind.
" ADAM: Try to fill it up.
Try to fill it up I'm getting ready.
And they better pick me.
Or you.
Anyone but Blake.
ALICIA: Yes.
[Sighs.]
Maybe I didn't love you Willie Nelson! Quite as often as I could have Maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have If I made you feel second-best [Cheers and applause.]
Boy, I'm sorry I was blind Yes! You were always on my mind You were always on my mind Little things I should have said and done, oh I just never took the time You were always on my mind You were always on my mind [Cheers and applause.]
Yes! Whoo! Yeah! Whoo-hoo! - Wow.
- Yes.
Singin' some country! - What is your name? - I'm Dallas Caroline.
I'm 17 years old, and I'm from Santa Rosa, California.
The boots, the song, the Blake, the Kelly, the me.
I don't know about how this looks for me, but you are so great and I believe that Were you nervous? - Yes.
[Chuckles.]
A little bit.
- You were nervous, 'cause you were literally shaking in your boots.
[Laughs.]
But the core of of who you are as a singer is there.
When I see cowboy boots, I usually run for the hills, but I don't care I'm gonna fight for you, Dallas, because you're awesome, and you should be on my team - 'cause it will be different.
- Thank you so much.
[Applause.]
The only reason I didn't push this would have definitely been four chairs is because my team is full.
But you had a beautiful, beautiful performance.
I can't wait to see what you do on the show.
- Congratulations.
- Thank you so much.
[Laughs.]
ALICIA: Yes.
[Applause.]
We only have one more person available on each of our teams, so that says something about your talent, so there you go.
- Thank you.
- That's awesome.
This is a nerve-racking situation.
I've been you.
But I will say, you have a beautiful quality that is missing in country music.
I know you got boots on.
I've been to his shows.
I've sang with him onstage.
I see all the girls like, "Oh, my God, Blake.
" Well, I love country music, too.
I've sang with Reba.
- I've sang with Jason Aldean.
- Hey, by the way, I'm Adam.
I'm Adam.
I just want to let you know I-I, uh I pushed my button, too.
[Laughter.]
I'm gonna give you a number, Blake 7,476.
What do you think that number is? If you say it's how many words I just said, - I'm gonna kick you.
- It is! [Laughter.]
[Cheers and applause.]
You know what? You talk just as much as me! For God sakes, can I talk to Dallas? Can I talk to Dallas? Can I talk to Dallas? - Shut up.
- Can I talk to Dallas? You should be an auctioneer.
[Imitates auctioneer.]
Sold to Blake Shelton! [Laughter.]
Hi, Dallas.
When I see somebody young like you performing "You Were Always On My Mind" I mean, that's one of the most sacred country songs of all time.
And I can go, "Wow, there's our next LeAnn Rimes.
- There's our next Tanya Tucker.
" - Thank you.
Oh, my gosh.
"There's our next hero in country music.
" That's why I want to be your coach on this show.
Let's do this, Dallas.
Thank you.
Who do you pick to be your coach? Oh, my gosh.
ADAM: Please.
[Audience shouting.]
Come on, Dallas.
Thank you all so much for turning around.
This is crazy, and a dream come true for me to even be standing here, and thank you all so much.
[Dramatic music plays.]
I pick Blake.
- Can you take me away? - Yes! Dallas! Now this girl is Wait a minute, wait a minute.
Wait a minute, wait a minute.
Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Thank you, Dallas, because now my team is full! Take me away Dallas has a very pure, sweet-sounding voice.
Thank you.
You know, I had a great team already.
Dallas was the icing on the cake.
I hope that someone country comes along 'Cause they're gonna have to pick me or Adam - Ha! Ha! - Not Blake Shelton - Ha! Ha! Ha! - Hey, hey! Biggest laugh is gonna be let's hold hands the biggest laugh, y'all, of this entire thing will be when a country artist comes on next and your team is full.
- Yeah! - And we're gonna get them! - Yeah! Yeah! - We're gonna get them.
- What do you think about that? - Hoo! I hope you're somewhere praying DALY: Stream tonight's blind audition songs only on Apple Music Make it rain DALY: or buy them on iTunes.
I'll make it rain This is "The Voice" DALY: Welcome back.
While the artists nervously wait, the next singer is ready to take the stage.
PRIDE: I chose the name Pride because it's the way you live your life that you should really take pride in and that will really, like, create results for you.
I'm Allen Pride Bowser.
I'm 24, and I'm from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
My parents divorced when I was 8, so we moved back to my grandmom's.
My grandmom was, like, everything for me.
She taught me how to read.
She taught me how to write.
She taught me how to cook.
My mom was like his third parent, and she gave him a keyboard and said, "Learn this, and stop getting in trouble.
" That was his outlet to really express hisself.
I started singing at my grandmom's church, and I really loved it, but as I matured, I did hit a low point in my life.
When I was 17, I got into an altercation trying to protect one of my friends.
I got sent to this disciplinary high school.
My grandmom really wanted me to become a person that was able to deal with these things without lashing out at school.
So, I started taking pride in who I am and got, like, straight A's.
I was able to graduate early, and I performed at my graduation.
So, I think my grandmom is proud of me.
She was always there for me i-in various ways.
Um Hold up, hold up.
Wait.
Can I just get a moment, here? So, right now, she's, um she she has stage-four cancer.
It went to her brain.
So, she just completed radiation yesterday.
She really wanted to be here.
Even though my grandmom can't be here, I know she's home praying for me, so I hope I'm making my grandmom proud.
Right now, I really just want to get on the stage and perform.
I'm ready to go.
I feel like this is my opportunity to really make it happen.
He looks amazing.
I guess you wonder where I've been [Cheering.]
I searched to find a love within Yeah Now I came back to let you know I got a thing for you, and I can't let go Now, some people go around the world for love La, la, la, la, yeah And they may never find what they dreamin' of What you won't do, whoop, do for love Whoop.
You try everything, but you won't give up, yeah In my world Only you Make me do for love what I would not do I would not do [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, my God.
It ended.
- What's your name? - My name is Allen Pride Bowser.
ADAM: The first thing I want to tell you is "Thank you.
" 'Cause that's just a song that works for all of us, you know? [Cheers and applause.]
And that vocal is like I find myself married to that song the way I know it for all these years, and so, it it messes with my head.
That's not fair, but sometimes, it does do that.
So, just to let you know you're fantastic.
[Cheers and applause.]
I love your voice.
I kept looking at him, going, "Okay, I'm just waiting for the next level.
I just want you to do something, like, a little higher or head voice or, you know [vocalizes.]
I was just looking for a little more variety.
That's the only reason why I didn't turn around.
But I think that you're a great singer.
[Cheers and applause.]
Whoo! Allen's voice was good, but for my last spot, I'm just trying to be inspired.
This is "The Voice" DALY: Welcome back.
Let's see if this next artist has what it takes to fill out a team.
I'm from right outside Philadelphia.
- Have you ever been to Philly? - Yep.
- Have you had a cheesesteak there? - Yeah.
They're great.
JACKIE: If you go to Philly and not try the cheesesteaks, you're not doing it right.
Now, it's making me hungry.
Hey, I'm Jackie Verna.
I am 22 years old, and I'm from West Chester, Pennsylvania.
[Laughs.]
I am a country-pop artist.
I was the little girl who would jam out to Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson in my bedroom.
My biggest goal is to be an Alabama cheerleader.
I applied to the University of Alabama, and I got in.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go just because I got in a car accident.
I just remember waking up on the floor of the passenger's seat, hanging half out of the car.
And the next thing I remember, I'm getting put into an ambulance and I wake up the next morning in a hospital.
I just see the entire left side of my face in these bandages and I'm just wondering what's underneath.
[Sniffles.]
The muscle tissue was ripped apart.
My nose was broken.
I also had a head injury that left me with short-term memory loss.
I didn't know if I would ever do music again, and it wasn't because I couldn't sing, but it was because I was so scared of what people were gonna be looking at.
The head injury it took about two years to recover from.
My aunt, one day, came and brought me a keyboard.
I saw a sparkle in her eye when she put her fingers on the keyboard.
From that day on, she didn't stop playing.
Just getting that confidence back, it was a long time coming.
But music is what I've loved my whole entire life.
It's like, literally, music therapy.
- And it's what gave me - Wow, that's so powerful.
the drive to just keep going.
Right.
To get a chair turn would bring me full circle because I've struggled so much with self-image.
So, for that to happen, would be so cool and so awesome.
There she is.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
The smile, the charm, the words, the spark Everything, you had it I guess I had a naive heart 'Cause, boy, I let you have it And you said I was your only Never thought you'd leave me lonely You're just a lost boy - [Cheering.]
- With your head up in the clouds You're just a lost boy Never keep your feet on the ground And you're always gonna fly away Just because you know you can Never gonna learn there's no such place as Neverland You don't understand You'll never grow up You're never gonna be a man Peter Pan Always gonna fly away Just because you know you can Never gonna learn there's no such place as Neverland You don't understand You'll never grow up You're never gonna be a man You'll never gonna grow up - Never gonna be a man - Whoa! Peter Pan [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
- Yes! - Yes! Come here.
Hi.
Oh, my Lord.
What is happening? Wow.
Y'all, I just feel so much pressure.
- I mean, we bo - "Pressure"?! That is the best country singing I've heard, and I don't care what any of those guys say.
Oh, my Lord! What's your name? My name is Jackie Verna.
I'm 22 years old, and I'm from West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Jackie, that was so good, so beautiful.
Whoo! Only reason why Blake and I didn't turn, our teams are full.
I've never been more excited about a one-chair turn in my life.
[Laughter.]
I am so beyond stunned right now.
I know.
I know.
I'm gonna be real, y'all.
I'm freakin' out, 'cause this is my first time doing this show.
You were obviously really good.
I have one seat left, and there's this one thing that I really I feel you, Kelly.
I know.
in particular looking for, and I'm saying, I'm so glad that you're a country artist not on Blake's team.
[Laughter.]
- I love you, Blake.
- I love you, too.
- Congratulations, first of all.
- Thank you.
And I was right there, going, "Kelly, what are you doing? This poor kid's gonna get stuck with Adam.
" [Laughter.]
Anyway, that's lovely.
Thanks a lot, Blake.
Welcome to my team! I'm invincible - I'm unbreakable - Yes! You are so awesome.
ADAM: Jackie was a revelation to me.
Got my little pop-country superstar.
Very excited about her.
She's amazing.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm pleased to announce my team is full! I'm invincible I'm unbreakable KELLY: Everyone was shocked I didn't pick Jackie.
But I have one more spot on my team, and I'm nervous about it.
I want to pick the right person, you know? 'Cause this is my first team here on "The Voice.
" I'm unstoppable - Yeah! - Yay! JACKIE: I feel beautiful and awesome, and I cannot believe I just made the last spot on Adam's team.
ADAM: She's really good.
She was kind of Cassadee Pope-ish.
I do not understand how I just got away with that one.
'Cause there's there's no way I'm getting her if she turns.
DALY: Coming up, an explosive ending to the blind auditions.
My team is full! [Cheers and applause.]
This is "The Voice" DALY: Welcome back.
This is an intense amount of just, like 'cause I'm the only one.
You just take your time, sister.
[Laughs.]
DALY: While Kelly tries to keep it together, let's see if this next artist 35-year-old Amber Sauer has what she's looking for.
Growing up, I was moved by all of the big divas the Arethas, the Chakas, the Whitneys, the Mariahs.
And I grew up in Paradise, California super small, country town.
I knew that there was something bigger out there for me, so in August of 2009, I packed up everything I could and moved to Los Angeles.
Within my first week of being in L.
A.
, I got my first gig, which was with Natalie Cole, which led me to sing background vocals for Angie Stone, Kelly Price.
One thing just led to another.
I'm constantly amazed when she calls and goes, "Dad, I'm on tour," and it's like, "Wow.
" She has moved forward despite all the challenges.
I've always known I was adopted, and I have two of the most loving adoptive parents.
But I struggled with wondering where I came from and how that contributed to the person that I am today.
I knew I had a sister same mother, same father.
And of course, I struggled with why our birth mother kept her and gave me up for adoption.
[Voice breaking.]
I always felt like there was something wrong with me.
Maybe I wasn't good enough? In 2009, I met my biological family for the first time.
It was the most nerve-racking and happiest moments of my life.
MOLLY: Getting to know her and being able to see her follow her dreams is pretty amazing.
- I'm so proud of you.
- Thank you.
I've never fully stepped out as a complete solo artist.
"The Voice" is my chance to prove that I'm good enough.
I'm going to make sure that those coaches hear my strength and, most of all, I want them to hear my fight.
The club isn't the best place to find a lover So the bar is where I go Me and my friends at the table Doing shots, drinking fast, and then we talk slow You come over and start up a conversation with just me And trust me, I'll give it a chance now Take my hand, stop, put Van the Man on the jukebox Then we start to dance I'm singing like "Boy, you know I want your love Your love was handmade for somebody like me Come on, now follow my lead I may be crazy, don't mind me" Say, "Boy, let's not talk too much Grab on my waist and put that body on me Come on, now follow my lead Come on, now follow my lead Oh, I, oh, I, oh, I, oh, I I'm in love Oh, I, oh, I, oh, I, oh, I I'm in love I'm in love with the shape of you We push and pull like a magnet do And though my heart is falling, too I'm in love with your body Last night, you were in my room And now my bedsheets smell like Every day discovering something new I'm in love Said, I'm in love Yeah! Yeah! I'm in love with the shape of you [Cheers and applause.]
