Like, you twirl her, and you're flippin' your dadgum hair.

I definitely am coming into Season 12 with a new energy.
Oh, my gosh! [Laughs.]
Wow! I've had the last two seasons off Yes! made an album, toured the United States, so I feel ready Surprise! to come back here now.
I feel super inspired.
I'm just so excited to be back this season and find some great artists.
I get really emotional because I feel like I'm here for a reason.
And right now, I feel like I'm here to work with you.
Alicia: Gwen has, like, a really cool, diverse variety on her team.
I've done a duet with Adam.
I've done a duet with Blake.
Hello.
Genre boundaries there's no boundaries.
Alicia: Her team, just like herself, mixture of a few awesome eras all kind of put all together.
I've had the longest career out of He used to come to my shows, okay? I did.
[Laughter.]
I did do that.
I'm excited, actually, to fight with Blake right now.
[Laughter.]
Thanks a lot, Brandon.
You're getting me in a fight with my girlfriend.
[Laughs.]
I think the world of Gwen, but I'm here to win this thing make no mistake about it even when my competition is my girlfriend.
And I'm not talking about Adam.
Gwen knows nothing about girls from the South.
Uh, Southern California.
Hello? [Laughs.]
Uh, I pick Gwen.
- Oh, my God! - Yes! Yes! Oh, my God! Yes! Oh, my God! Thank you! Adam: Gwen's on fire, she's killing it.
Season 12 is it's Gwen time.
[Cheers and applause.]
Daly: Gwen wasted no time, winning the first artist to hit the stage this season, 29-year-old single dad and special needs teacher's assistant JChosen.
Ooh Baby Whoa.
I'm hot just like an oven And I need some lovin' Ohh, ohh When I get that feelin' I want sexual healing Sexual healing Oh, baby Makes me feel so fine Helps to relieve my mind Sexual healing Is good for me Sexual healing Is something that's good for me [Cheers and applause.]
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Just thank you.
I'm not really feeling too confident right now.
It don't matter.
You never know.
[Cheers and applause.]
Whoo! Listen, man, we got a lot of work to do, so let's get started.
[Laughter.]
He just healed us sexually.
Marvin Gaye is in heaven like [Applause.]
- Yeah, exactly.
- You know what I'm saying? Gwen: The way you smiled when you were singing that song, and you just seemed, like, really present in the moment and grateful to be here.
And I recognize that you give of yourself working with children with special needs.
Whoever you choose, I'm excited for you.
This is an amazing show, and I'd love to work with you.
I pick Gwen.
- Whoa! - Yeah! What are you talking about? Are you serious?! Oh, my God, really? JChosen like, that was probably the biggest triumph of this whole season for me.
He was so good.
He can do anything with his voice, and he really makes me want to, like, step it up, so he's inspiring me to even be a better coach.
I really think we're gonna learn a lot from each other.
[Chuckling.]
I don't know.
JChosen first, he shocked us with his performance, and then he shocked us about choosing Gwen as his coach.
Now Gwen is a serious, serious threat to win this thing.
That's how good J.
is.
I never in my wildest, wildest dreams thought he would choose me.
Daly: Gwen continued to pull out all the stops, picking up 24-year-old Sammie Zonana.
She showed her unique voice by putting her own spin on "Dangerous Woman.
" Well, something 'bout you Makes me feel like a dangerous woman Gwen, I pick you, no doubt.
Ow! Blake: Whoa! Daly: She also picked up 25-year-old pop rocker Jozy Bernadette Brandon: We're jammin', jammin', jammin', jam on Daly: and Brandon Royal, a 31-year-old firefighter with island roots.
I bet you if someone approached you yesterday To tell you that you would be jammin' You would not believe it Because you never thought that you would be jammin' Oh, whoa, whoa Jammin' until the break of dawn Running into a fire has nothing compared to this stage.
There's something about what you do that it was so natural, so pure.
I started off with this music called "ska.
" But then, through the years, I got to work with Dr.
Dre and Eve and hip-hop, and now I've got to work with country artists.
I feel different kinds of styles in what you do.
I want to work with you so bad.
Brandon, I want to help you hold your hose.
Uh-oh.
[Laughter.]
- Whoa! - Time out.
- That should be - Whoa! Time out, time out.
Brandon, not only should that be grounds for immediate disqualification of that man, but I I'm so happy I get to ask you this in this moment, who do you pick as your coach? [Audience shouting.]
Come on, Brandon! Come on, Brandon! Let's do it! Let's do it! I pick Gwen! Oh! Oh! I'm sorry.
Yay! [Laughs.]
Brandon, he did a Stevie Wonder song.
I mean, that is usually illegal.
No one should try that, but he did a really good job.
I feel like he is just super talented and so rhythmic.
Didn't come out right.
[Laughter.]
It didn't come out right.
Daly: Gwen continued to challenge Blake, securing 16-year-old pop artist from Spring Garden, Alabama, Savannah Leighton.
Savannah: When I was 6 years old, my dad left.
And my mom was working three jobs to support me and my two little brothers.
Music has always kind of been my escape.
Unconditional Unconditionally I will love you Unconditionally So open up your heart and just let it begin Open up your heart and just let it begin Open up your heart and just let it begin Open up your heart [Cheers and applause.]
- Wow.
- Wow.
No! No hugging! No hugging! Why are you crying? Why are you crying? It's intense, right? That was so good.
That is an illegal motion! [Laughter.]
Gwen: This is This is really exciting right now.
Wow.
What did y'all talk about already? We just talked about stuff.
I'm so glad that these two lovebirds, um [Laughter.]
are gonna express their love for you.
- Hi, Savannah.
- Hi! [Laughter.]
Oh, no.
I am willing to get myself in bad trouble here, because I believe in you so much [Cheers and applause.]
What? "Looks like Blake takes the lead, but may be sleeping on the couch tonight.
" [Laughter.]
When you buy a sweater that looks like a barcode, does it freak out the cash register? [Laughter.]
Okay, Savannah.
I can't understand how the girls don't want to go with the girl, and and I don't want to be intimidating, but I want you to know that I have so much to offer you that he can't! I think you're being a little intimidating.
No, I know, but he can't [Laughter.]
Uh, I pick Gwen.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! That's what I wanted.
Like, I want a young girl that needs help.
She knows she can do all this stuff with her voice, and you can tell she's deep and emotional for being 16 years old.
But she just needs a little bit of guidance.
I'm real excited to help her find herself as an artist.
[Cheers and applause.]
Yay! Thank you! Daly: Still to come, we continue to see how our coaches drafted their teams Le-Le-Le-Let it, let it, let it, let it Daly: and a sneak peak at the battles Yeah! including our superstar advisers, who joined our coaches to get the best out of their artists.
You just mentored people.
How does it feel? I'm walkin' on sunshine [Laughs.]
Don't go chasing waterfalls And later, our Season 12 coaches join forces for a special unplugged performance of TLC's "Waterfalls.
" Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to [Laughs.]
Daly: And then, our coaches like you've never seen them.
Shut your pie hole.
Cake hole.
[Laughter.]
This is "The Voice" Welcome back.
This is the Best of the Blind Auditions.
We're catching you up on how our coaches shaped their teams and giving you insight about how they made their decisions.
Next for Team Gwen 31-year-old rocker Johnny Gates, who had some success early on in his career.
Johnny: In 2015, I got a phone call.
"Would you guys want to go on the road with Rod Stewart this summer?" Absolute dream come true.
At the moment, the band is on hold.
I'm 31 now.
I can't be chasing this forever.
I really do feel like this is my last big shot.
Oh, Maggie, I couldn't have tried anymo-o-re Oh, you led me away from home Just to save you from being alone You stole my heart, and that's what really hurts Oh All you did was wreck my bed He did it! What are you nervous for? And in the morning, kick me in the heeeeeead So, what's up, guys? Right.
Your energy pops through the whole place, and your tone is outrageous.
And, Adam, you missed it, but as a performer, he is headed towards that Jagger type of stage performer, too.
Alicia: Mm.
Mm! You know what I mean? I'm just surprised you know who Mick Jagger is.
[Laughter.]
He's got the moves like Jagger, right? Moves like Jagger.
Wow.
Your sense of humor is on on point.
[Laughter.]
What I think we have in common is that whole band world, that whole mentality.
I feel like, out of the three choices that you have, it's obvious that It's so obvious.
I mean, it's just so obvious.
It's so obvious, we don't have to even say it, but Yeah.
I feel like us garage-band kids have to stick together, so Aw! What?! What?! What?! I pick Gwen! Yes! [Cheers and applause.]
Gwen: I think what's exciting about Johnny is he is truly rock, and his voice is full of personality, and that's something you don't you just can't teach that.
That's something that's in you that comes out, and people can really connect to that because they're gonna remember him.
[Southern accent.]
A loss for Blake is a win for me [Laughter.]
change for me Daly: Gwen continued to add unique artists to her team, picking up 30-year-old pop rocker new to Nashville Kenny P For me Think of me And you You know that I'd be with you if I could [Cheers and applause.]
I don't really know the Nashville scene, although I have been to about 2 billion Blake Shelton concerts in the last year, which I enjoyed very, very much.
But there's something theatrical about you.
And I understand that.
Daly: 23-year-old YouTube phenomenon Davina Leone Mo-o-o-o-o-o-o-ve mountains and the youngest member of Team Gwen, 14-year-old Aaliyah Rose.
And I'll rise up I'll rise like the day I'll rise up I'll rise unafraid I'll rise up I'll do it a thousand times again - I love you so much.
- You do? Then give me a hug or something.
[Cheers and applause.]
- Aww.
- Aww, 14.
I wanted you.
Daly: Next on Team Gwen is 16-year-old pop singer from San Anselmo, California, Caroline Sky.
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes But will you still love me tomorrow? [Cheers and applause.]
Gwen: Blake has never lived your dream the way that I've lived your dream.
But I want to.
[Laughter.]
I want to know why girls just want to have fun.
[Laughter.]
Daly: Gwen's next artist, 27-year-old Stephanie Rice, channeled her life story during her blind audition.
I remember the first time someone said "lesbian," and I'm like, "What's that?" And they were like, "Oh, it's when a girl likes a girl in the way that girls like should like boys.
" It was like this epiphany.
"[Gasps.]
Oh, that's me.
" But my dad was the pastor of the Baptist church and, ironically, was also preaching that God did not approve.
So, I haven't had a relationship with them in eight or nine years.
I have two little sisters.
I think my biggest fear in life is that I would be a disappointment to them, 'cause I don't know what they think about it.
Piece by piece I fell far from the tree I would never leave her like you left me And she will never have to wonder her worth Because unlike you, I'm gonna put her first And you know he'll never walk away He'll never break her heart He'll take care of things He'll love her Wow.
Piece by piece He'll restore my faith That a man can be kind And a father should be great [Cheers and applause.]
Wow.
You.
[Laughs.]
I pushed it first.
I'm gonna just say something right now.
Wow.
Just 'cause you have on a cowboy belt [Laughs.]
please, I really want to just talk to you for a second before he does.
[Laughter.]
There's a new dynamic on the show with these two going at it, and when they No, that's Don't misunderstand how I said that.
[Laughter.]
So, when they both push sometimes, they're, like, dating, and I don't know what to do.
I'm like the third wheel in this thing.
[Laughter.]
So just pay very close attention to what this lovely, incredible woman has to say to you.
- Thank you.
- Say something good.
Say something good.
Okay.
Watch.
[Laughter.]
I was really moved by you.
I could feel whatever pain is in there.
There is music as an outlet for you.
That's exactly right.
Gwen: So, you can only sing like that as if you've lived it.
Sometimes on this show, I get really emotional because I feel like I'm here for a reason.
And right now, I feel like I'm here to work with you.
I pick Gwen.
[Cheers and applause.]
Gwen: Stephanie Rice is a rarity to get somebody that has so much to offer through her voice and her story.
And she's the real deal as far as, like, a broken girl that picked herself up.
Wow.
Seriously.
Alicia: Stephanie Rice, I was so taken by what she was doing that I forgot that I'm supposed to press Wow.
if I'm wanting to participate, and I didn't, and I was really upset.
[Sighs.]
My bad.
This is "The Voice" Daly: Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
One of Gwen's biggest wins of the season was 32-year-old indie rocker Troy Ramey, who turned to music later in life after losing his father.
There's a piece of my dad with me whenever I perform.
I think he would be incredibly proud today.
If you want to leave, you take good care Hope you have a lot of nice things out there No, no, no, no, no! Just remember, there's a lot of bad everywhere [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, oh Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world Yeah, baby It's hard to get by just upon a smile, girl [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world Yes! That's awesome! I always remember you like a chi-i-i-i-ld [Cheers and applause.]
Kidding me? [Cheers and applause.]
He turned around first.
My mom won't stop talking about your dimples.
[Laughter.]
I'm starin' right at 'em.
The power of the dimples, man.
So, Troy, you sing like a man.
[Laughter.]
I'm talking about, like, he, like, picks up rocks just to break 'em in his hand and and just blow 'em away like that.
Gwen: What I related to, what woke me up was your intention to the lyric of that song.
It was like it was your song.
And my instinct tells me that you're supposed to be on my team, and I'm not just saying that as a joke.
It's so weird.
My instinct tells me the same exact thing.
No, no, I'm not joking.
I'm saying that you moved me you actually moved me today.
I pick Gwen.
[Cheers and applause.]
Oh, my God! Wow! Gwen: Troy Ramey, he just seemed to be really in touch with his own emotions.
You can get lost in his performance.
He's the real deal.
Yay! Thank you! I'm excited about my team because it's really eclectic.
You know, there's all different kinds of personalities, musical styles, different voices.
It's an amazing team, and I have several people on my team I think could win it all.
I'm pretty much here to take home my first win.
[Cheers and applause.]
- My team is full, Blake! - Yeah! [Cheers and applause.]
Daly: But before any of Gwen's artists can win "The Voice," they will have to face off in the battles.
My God! Daly: Gwen will coach her team with the help of 5-time Grammy Award winner with over 200 million albums sold, music legend Céline Dion.
I have the real Céline Dion right here.
I'm so honored to have you here.
Céline: What I like about "The Voice" is that I get to be stunned by amazing talent.
This is the new generation.
Yee-haw! Oh, my man, hi.
Oh, my God.
Hi.
Hi, I'm Céline.
How are you? [Giggles.]
[Laughter.]
It was so special to see Ms.
Céline Dion.
She's one of the greats.
My husband is always with me.
He said something "You cannot be good all the time.
You have to be good when it's time.
" Mm! Just let completely loose.
All through thick and thin Our love just won't end Gwen: The battle rounds are where we can really see what our teams can do.
'Cause I love my baby Love my baby And this is the part of the competition Yeeeeeeaaah where we really get to start coaching our artists.
I want to go to the next level so we can just see you play and work the room and use your body language a little more.
You can do this.
And at one point, you can do this.
Okay.
Come back.
Intimidate the crowd.
Okay.
Even if this mountain tumbles Yeah! If this whole world crumbles By her side, I'll still be standing there Whoa! - We're doing your song.
- Wow.
Isn't that crazy? So, let me hear it.
Johnny G.
: It's a nerve-racking thing.
You're singing in front of Céline Dion.
Taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide This fever for you is just burning me up inside And not only that, you're singing her song.
I drove all night to get to you I loved what you guys did with it, but work the room a little bit.
Yeah.
2, 3, 4! 3, 4! Oh-oh, oh Oh-oh, oh, I drove all night It's so original.
I'm really, really thrilled.
I drove all night Oh-oh, oh Wow.
Oh-oh, oh, I drove all night Oh, my God! Wow! That was incredible! Yay! That was awesome.
That was cool.
- That was fun.
- Bye-bye! Céline has left the building.
Baby, I'll try to love again But I know Baby, I'll try to love again But I know Wow, that was so Céline, whoo! Can we leave now? [Laughter.]
So good.
Thank God you're here.
The first cut is the deepest Try to love again Try to love again Try to love again [Cheers and applause.]
This is "The Voice" Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
This season, Coach Adam Levine was more determined than ever to bring home another win.
[Cheers and applause.]
Three-time "Voice" champion Adam Levine is back.
Yay! Adam: I love being a coach on the show.
It never ceases to be really exhilarating, and it's pushed me to do better in my own life and career.
And to know that we could really alter someone's course just by pushing is a really cool kind of responsibility.
It's the best job ever.
[Cheers and applause.]
Oh, that's what I'm talking about.
Thanks, man.
I love her to death, but I must destroy her for these purposes.
[Laughter.]
Adam, he's impossible.
I hate you.
He is so passionate.
Unh! And he will not stop until he gets an artist.
She's beautiful, and she's talented, and she's also taken.
You know, she's she's Blake's girlfriend, so Oh, please.
[Laughs.]
Blake: That's what makes him great, you know, the fact that he won't take "no" for an answer.
That's Adam, and I love him for that.
So, who do you pick as your coach? Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Don't say that.
No, no, no.
Why do you No, no, no, no, no.
Why do you always try to get the last word in? Don't be playing shenanigans! Team Adam has shaped up really nicely.
- Adam.
- Adam.
I pick Adam.
Yeah, that's right.
Mm! I have not seen Adam have so much swag, ever.
Hey, if people don't want to, like, have success and win, then they shouldn't pick me.
Pick you.
Daly: The first artist to join Team Adam this season was Johnny Hayes, who returned to "The Voice" after failing to get a button push in Season 11.
Last season, as disappointing as it was, the coaches didn't feel me.
So this song is true to who I am.
Oh, you won't regret it No, no If you try, try a little tenderness All you got to do, man Is hold her if you want her Got to squeeze her Don't tease her Never leave her Got to, got to try Try a little tenderness You got to know how to love her, man You got to hold her Squeeze her Never leave her Got to try and na, na, na Try a little tenderness [Cheers and applause.]
Whoo! Ahh! Okay.
Okay, time out.
Whoa.
Time out! [Laughter.]
Wait a minute, so, one, two.
You did not push, correct, neither one of you.
Oh, my God.
[Laughter.]
Did you not feel the energy? [Cheers and applause.]
Thank you so much.
Johnny Hayes came back, murdered Otis Redding.
Damn, like, this kid is so good.
I can't deal with not having you.
Hello.
I didn't miss you last season, did I? I would really love to work with you.
And I want to fight Adam, too.
Oh! It really just comes down to what you want to do and who you want to work with and where your heart's at.
I choose Adam.
[Cheers and applause.]
Yes.
You watch out for Johnny Hayes.
Johnny is gonna go far.
- Thank you so much.
- Dude, yes! Daly: Adam also added country singer Sheena Brook.
Love your baby g-i-i-i-i-i-rl I still love you more than anything in the world Blake: Adam's dream is to beat me with a country artist, and she may very well be the kind of singer that can do it.
[Applause.]
I pick Adam.
Yay! Daly: Adam continued to build his team of impressive singers, adding 17-year-old pop artist Nala Price 34-year-old soul singer Jesse Larson I didn't mean to hurt you, no And I'm so sorry I made you cry The way you sing and the way you play, it's one of the coolest things I've ever heard in my life.
Thank you very much.
Daly: and 21-year-old blues vocalist Julien Martinez.
Well, I love my lady like the finest wine Stick with her until the end of time She's my sweet little thing She's my pride and joy Well, she's my sweet little, sweet little Sweet little baby And I'm her lover boy Whoa Yeah! Yeah! [Cheers and applause.]
Looks like a classic old-school match-up over here.
[Laughs.]
Gwen: I can't wait.
First of all, congratulations on not being like, a giant, like, biker.
[Laughter.]
I swear to God.
That last note sounded like the birth of Satan or something.
[Laughter.]
I was afraid.
I was like, "He's gonna kill me.
" [Laughs.]
I need you to be on my team, man.
You have the greatest scream in the music industry.
I stand by it.
[Chuckling.]
Oh! It used to be David Lee Roth now it's you.
I think it might be time for you to pick a coach, Julien.
[Laughs.]
[Audience shouting.]
I'm gonna have to pick Adam.
Yeah! Alicia: Wow! Julien's awesome.
Unh! When he let that devil's roar out, we, like, had to press.
It was pretty crazy.
I'm sorry for whatever old lady Adam stole that sweater from that's in here.
[Laughter.]
Stop it.
Leave Adam alone.
Nope.
I got a job to do, and that's to piss off Adam.
[Laughter.]
Daly: Another big win for Adam was 30-year-old R&B singer Kawan DeBose.
Kawan: Where I'm from, it's the inner city, so my grandmother enrolled me into a performing arts school.
It just opened my eyes, and I realized, I can be a singer if I wanted to.
I've been really tryin', baby Tryin' to hold back this feelin' for so long Whoa! And if you feel like I feel, baby Then come on Whoo, come on Let's get it on Ooh Hey! Ha! Don't you know how sweet and wonderful That life can be Wow! That life can be, ooh Kawan is ridiculously amazing.
You've rendered me speechless, which is very hard to do.
Thank God.
[Laughter.]
The only man that can do the kind of falsetto with the same kind of ease and the same kind of range is Prince.
Thank you.
I can't even believe that you can do that.
Alicia: Right.
You are truly one in a billion.
I've rocked with this dude since "Songs About Jane" [Cheers and applause.]
I pick Adam.
Blake: Kawan's definitely a great singer and great entertainer.
Come on! Come home! He's got horrible taste in coaches, but, you know, you can't hold that against somebody.
I think he's gonna be around for a while, no doubt about it.
This is "The Voice" Daly: Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
One of Adam's biggest wins of the season was four-chair turn, 17-year-old alternative rocker Josh West.
Josh: I am in a band with my dad.
I'm the singer and the bass player, and he plays guitar.
My dad has coached me to the best of his ability.
But now I need a coach on "The Voice" who can help me take it to the next level.
I won't cry for yesterday There's an ordinary world Somehow I have to find And as I try to make my way To the ordinary world I will learn to survive Adam: Josh West dude, that guy is so good.
I would love to see Josh break through and and be a big success on "The Voice.
" Every one Whoa! Alicia: Everybody loved Josh.
Wow, what a voice like, really crazy, not natural.
[Chuckles.]
[Cheers and applause.]
Mnh! First of all, you have the hair I always wanted to have.
[Laughter.]
Super, like, early '90s Eddie Vedder hair.
My favorite '90s band is Soundgarden.
Yes! Oh, my God, you would kill that.
Oh, "Superunknown" is the best album ever.
"Badmotorfinger.
" Soundgarden.
Whoo! Are we in a record shop right now? What are we doing? What? [Laughter.]
I also love the '90s.
[Laughter.]
Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McEntire.
Diamond Rio, Brooks and Dunn.
Yeah.
Thanks for y'all's support.
[Laughter.]
I pick Adam! Yeah, that's right! Unh! I'm so pumped, dude.
The dude is so good.
It was literally like talking to a 17-year-old me with better hair and a better voice.
I'm so pumped.
Bye.
Daly: Malik Davage performed with someone specifically in mind during his blind audition.
Malik: My daughter is the most special thing to me.
Um [Voice breaking.]
But I just want I just want to do better for her.
If you be the cash, I'll be the rubber band You be the match, I will be the fuse Boom Painter, baby, you can be the muse I'm the reporter, baby, you can be the news Yeah We can do it, baby Ohh, whoa, ohh, whoa, ohh, whoa Let me tell you something.
Let me tell you something really quickly.
Woman: Aww! Yeah, man.
[Cheers and applause.]
Yeah.
Malik was an emotional guy, and and that's cool.
You know, I think you should be.
I think that he was just so caught up in the moment and so overwhelmed that he just lost it.
Hey Sit in my chair.
Just go sit in my chair.
[Laughter.]
Throw your feet up on there.
Come on.
Look, look, look.
[Laughter.]
I'm just a a young guy from Washington, D.
C.
, just trying to do what's best for my daughter.
He blew me away.

The second I turned around, you started smiling and you kind of, maybe, a little bit, forgot about the fact that you're still singing.
[Laughter.]
But then, you really got it back together.
And by the end, I thought you were doing the best stuff you were doing the entire performance.
I pick Adam.

Daly: Next is 19-year-old pop singer and college student Mark Isaiah from Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.
Mark: I remember actually being into music at a really young age, but I was always nervous.
I was overweight, and it was just a really hard time for me.
Once I got to college, I lost 40 pounds.
Losing weight definitely made me feel more confident.
And now this is a chance to show that I'm a new person.
I'm saying, baby, please have mercy on me Take it easy on my heart Even though you don't mean to hurt me You keep tearing me apart Adam: That kid, Mark, man Consuming all the air inside my lungs he's a ringer, that kid.
Literally, you give that kid a great song and a record deal, he'll be on the radio tomorrow.
Ripping all the skin from off my bones I think people are gonna be surprised to see how far he goes, and girls are gonna lose their minds over this kid.
I would gladly do it twice I'm prepared to sacrifice my life Wow.
I would gladly do it twice So, please have mercy on me I'm a puppet on your string You know how many little boys are gonna be, like, "I want to be like that guy.

I need you on my team, oh, my God! Mark, it's so obvious that you belong in the current landscape of pop music.
Every single person in here probably felt like it was an awards show or something like that.
Thank you so much.
I still think that the right choice is the less-attractive version right here.
[Laughter.]
I'm gonna have to pick Adam.
Yeah! [Cheers and applause.]
I just think that Mark is one of those guys that is so wonderfully sweet as a person, and he's also an excellent singer Oh.
so I'm very excited to have Mark on my team.
Here we go! [Grunts.]
Team Adam is dynamic, spectacular, and will win.
I have a great team.
My team is full! [Cheers and applause.]
Every artist is different and all have different stories, and they're all here for different reasons, but at the end of the day, they are all here to do one thing, and they share the common goal of wanting to win "The Voice.
" Yes! - You're amazing.
- Oh, I'm so excited.
- You're so good.
- Thank you.
I definitely have a couple people I think can win.
Team Adam is the best team.
Daly: Now let's take an exclusive look as Adam brings in Grammy and Oscar winner John Legend to help prepare his team for next week's heated battles.
I'm so happy that I get to do this with my buddy.
Yeah, we're gonna have fun.
[Gasps.]
[Laughter.]
They're not gonna even come in here.
- Wow.
- [Chuckling.]
Man.
John Legend is kind of a legend, dude.
Like, he's amazing.
A Grammy Award-winning, Oscar Award-winning dude.
I want to be that one day.
Whoa, yeah, yeah Hey Adam: Battle round is a time where the juices start flowing now, and the best chemistry, I believe, comes from how inspired we are by each other.
Let's make the most of every moment tonight Getting advice from John Legend on his own song was great.
It made me feel like I'm still dreaming 'cause I still can't believe it's happening.
This is your opportunity.
You have to decide whether you want to be the best you can be for your future.
And I know it'll kill me when it's over I don't wanna think about it Say it I just wanna love you now It's all [clicks tongue.]

I want you to try to sing this song better than you've ever done in your entire lives right now - Mm-hmm.

Daly: And later, our coaches sing an unexpected song.
This song started as a dare.
[Laughs.]
I bet y'all ain't gonna do "Waterfalls.
" [Laughs.]
This is "The Voice" Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
This season, 15-time Grammy Award-winning coach Alicia Keys returned to the show and held nothing back as she tried to build the best team possible.
Alicia Keys is more determined than ever to snag her first win.
Whoo, child.
All right.
I have a season under my belt.
It was an incredible experience, and I'm not stopping now.
RJ, right before you came out, I said You just said my name! I did.
Oh.
[Laughter.]
Whoo! Say it loud, say it proud.
I pick Alicia! [Cheers and applause.]
Yeah! My inner competitive nature is alive and well.
Mm-mm! I don't know what it is with me and Alicia this year.
I do know how to get somebody to the winner's circle.
Alicia has become pretty dedicated at trying to get under my skin.
Well, seeing as he's been here since, like, he was 40 and now he's 80 [Laughter.]
I'm so happy.
I love when I don't have to do it.
I love Alicia.
She's so much fun to do this with.
"Please pick me.
Please.
" [Laughter.]
It's really she's a blast.
Bah bah bah bah bah bah Oh, God.
Alicia will pretty much do anything to get an artist.
I mean, she literally will stand up and write a song right to somebody's face.
If you would pick me as your coach She is fearless.
We got to stick together! Whoo-hoo! I'm hoping to hear things that move me.
I think that's the that's the way I operate.
That's they way I write songs.
That's the way that I sing.
And those that catch me with that emotion are gonna catch me.
[Laughs.]
Daly: First for Alicia was 16-year-old Anatalia Villaranda, who surprised everyone with her big voice.
[Grunts, laughs.]
I'm a very petite person.
Being 4'9", a lot of people, like, pick on me because of my size, but good things come in small packages, so here's me.
[Laughs.]
[Siren wailing.]
Well, looky here, looky here Oh, what do we have? Another pretty thing ready for me to grab But little does he know that I'm a wolf in sheep's clothing 'Cause at the end of the night It is him I'll be holding Whoo! I love you so That's what you'll say You tell me baby, baby, please don't go away But when I play I never stay To every guy that I meet, hey, this is what I say Run, run, run away Run away, baby Before I put my spell on you You better get, get, get away Get away, darling 'Cause everything you heard is true Your poor little heart will end up alone 'Cause Lord knows I'm a rolling stone So you better run, run, run away Run away, baby Anatalia was next level.
I was, like, "This is crazy.
" "This is crazy.
" Ru-u-u-u-u-u-n Before I put my spell on you You better get, get, get away Get away, darling 'Cause everything you heard is true Your poor little heart will end up alone 'Cause Lord knows I'm a rolling stone Run, run, run away, baby [Cheers and applause.]
Thank you.
Thank you.
Whoo! [Sobs.]
- Hey! Hey! - Yeah! - Hey! - I'm so hyper! Whoo! That is a big voice.
The greatness that you have is something you can't teach.
You're just adding to this incredible, raw ability [Crickets chirping.]
Are those actual crickets I just heard? The things that you are saying are so boring [Laughter.]
Oh, man.
[Applause.]
This is more than just a voice.
This is a whole, entire package.
This is an artist.
I would like you to look in your heart and see how important it is for you to be on my team.
I'm gonna have to pick Alicia Keys.
[Screams.]
Anatalia was just a ball of energy.
This voice was so mature and so, like, full of so much growl, it was amazing.
So I'm looking forward to to working with her.
Hey, wait a minute.
I want to see this.
I want to see this.
Stand next to me.
If I take off my heels, I'm like right here.
How's that How's that look? [Mock crying.]
I'm still a little bit upset with Anatalia for not choosing me as her coach.
All right.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Because by her not choosing me as her coach means there's less chance for me to win.
That's how much I believe in that kid.
Hey! What?! [Cheers and applause.]
Don't let me, don't let me, don't let me down D-D-Don't let me down Don't let me down Daly: Another win for Alicia was R&B vocalist Vanessa Ferguson Oh, my God.
You're real.
along with pop singer Missy Robertson.
Alicia's next artist is worship leader Jack Cassidy, who comes from a famous family.
My uncles are David and Shaun Cassidy.
They were both teen icons and pop stars.
So happy for you.
Jack: My grandma is Shirley Jones, and she was best known for her role in "The Partridge Family" as the mom of America.
If God had a name What would it be And would you call it to his face? I was definitely just lost in his performance.
I felt so much from it.
Daly: Nurse Felicia Temple came to "The Voice" after recovering from cancer.
I'm free and clear now.
Last year, I did not know what was gonna happen to me, so it's so beautiful for things to turn around.
I was losing The man that I loved And all I could do Was cry-y-y-y-y-y-y-y Oh, my God! I knew it! [Cheers and applause.]
My name was Felicia Keys 'cause I played all her songs at the talent shows.
Felicia Keys.
Should we just turn back around? Yeah.
I-I'm not giving up.
I'm not giving up.
[Cheers and applause.]
I think I want to hear Alicia Keys and Felicia Keys do a duet together.
Yeah! [Cheers and applause.]
Yes! Yes! Go! Go! Yes! I keep on fallin' In and out Of love with you Adam: Felicia and Alicia, that was amazing.
That was one of my favorite moments of the entire show.
So cool.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh I never loved someone The way that I love you [Cheers and applause.]
She inspired me so much, I had to get up there and sing with her.
We had a lot to connect on.
Thank you so much.
It was super good, and I do think she's a real contender for this show.
Felicia, who who do you pick as your coach? [Laughter.]
Say it loud, say it proud.
I pick Alicia! [Cheers and applause.]

That was so fun.

Up, up, up.
Extend, extend, extend, extend.
Daly: Autumn Turner, a 25-year-old ice skating coach from Montclair, New Jersey, earned a four-chair turn with a charismatic take on a classic dance song.
I've been coaching ice skating for about nine years.
But I can actually take time for myself again and do something that I love to do.
I could finally focus on my music.
This might be my last chance to change my life.
Oh, I need you By me, beside me, to guide me To hold me, to scold me 'Cause when I'm bad, I'm so, so bad So, come on, baby Let's dance tonight Autumn was really exciting when she came out.
She was definitely stellar, and it kept getting better and better.
She was, like, really a shocker.
Ahh [Cheers and applause.]
The presence and the grace and the soul Alicia: Mm.
and everything about you rarely comes around ever.
You could easily win this show, no problem.
[Cheers and applause.]
You're probably one of those women that are just good at everything.
[Laughter.]
Like, who's a figure skater and an incredible [Clears throat.]
[Laughter.]
Apparently, Blake is.
I'd pay good money to see that happen.
[Laughter.]
That's a show.
All right, we don't want to see Blake.
We want to see Autumn.
I just would love for you to have an amazing time, living your dream, and being present in the moment [Sighs.]
and allowing yourself to just be free of anything else in your head.
I would love to be your coach.
I pick Alicia.
All right! [Cheers and applause.]
Four-chair turn.
[Sighs.]
Fought for her.
Come over here! I wanted her to know how much I believe in her.
I think she felt me.
Mm! Daly: Hunter Plake from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, gave a bold performance of a chart-topping hit.
If you're lost and alone or you're sinking like a stone Carry on Hunter really had a clear tone and really has a beautiful style.
May your past be the sound of your feet upon the ground Carry on I feel like you have your own thing, and I feel like there's songs we can explore with your voice that's, like, anywhere you want to go, you can sing.
And so, I would love for you to join Team Alicia.

How old are you? I'm 13.
- Whoa! - 13? - I felt it.
- We've never had someone 13.
Oh, my gosh! [Laughs.]
Hi! And I see all this energy inside of you and all this light.
And that voice has a really, really powerful innocent fluid thing, 'cause you're not only in your head, you know what I mean? - Yes, ma'am.
- You're just in your heart.
And I felt your heart.
I feel like I can help to show you how to sing with even more intention and purpose.
She's so right.
You taught me how to spell bananas.
There you go.
[Laughter.]
Listen to me.
You can be on Team Gwen, and I can teach you how to spell everything.
[Laughter, cheers and applause.]
I pick Alicia.
[Cheers and applause.]
Alicia: Quizz, he sang with so much effortlessness Look at you.
and he was just, like, hitting all of these runs and these notes.
Super little Michael Jackson style.
Oh! I cannot wait to get my hands on him.
I can't wait.
Jaida: Oh, my God! "Why would they pick me if they could pick you?" I don't know.
They wouldn't that's my point.
"I really like my sweater.
" Daly: Still to come never-before-seen footage of our coaches.
And stay tuned for the broadcast premiere of our Season 12 coach performance.
A lonely mother gazing out of her window Staring at a son that she just can't touch Yeah.
This is "The Voice" Daly: Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
Another standout performance from Team Alicia was 26-year-old waitress Lilli Passero.
So I sit down, sit down And think the thing over Is it something I've done? I look at the flowers No! In fullest bloom I should be happy Alicia: Lilli was totally in her own lane.
But I'm filled with gloom There's nobody like her on this show that kind of '50s, little '60s kind of style.
'Cause I want to know I really thought she was special.
Why can't I find a love Of my own? Oooh Lilli, will you please pick me? Maybe.
[Chuckles.]
- Please, or - She's an honest girl.
She said, "Maybe.
" Okay.
That's what you're always supposed to tell a boy.
[Laughter.]
Keep them on the hook.
Yeah.
Lilli was so good.
I loved hearing her sing.
Bah-bah, bah bah bah bah bah bah Oh, God.
I really wanted to just get her on my team.
If you would pick me as your coach [Cheers and applause.]
Whoo! I could show you I could tell you How to put your feelings on your sleeve Tell everybody just what you mean [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, Lilli Oh, Lilli [Cheers and applause.]
Daly: After his fiancée's tragic illness, Chris Blue pushed himself to audition for "The Voice.
" My fiancée she had an operation on her brain.
[Voice breaking.]
And And she flatlined.
I thought I lost her.
I didn't want to waste another moment.
I made two promises to God I would make this woman my wife, and I would try out for "The Voice.
" Take a good look at my face You'll see my smile looks out of place If you look closer, it's easy to trace Yay! The tracks of my tears Now, outside, I'm masquerading [Both screaming.]
Inside, you know, you know I'm fading I'm just a clown Since you put me down My smile is my makeup I wear since my breakup with you [Cheers and applause.]

[Laughs.]
I knew you could do it! Oh, my God! Wow! Is that all that was back there? It sounded like there was a city back there.
Is this them, too? [Laughs.]
This is it.
Wow.
Chris, the man I waited for.
He was so in control of every note he sang and every twist he did and every turn.
And it was, like, pretty crazy impressive.
This my fiancée, Stephanie.
[Voice breaking.]
She just recently recovered from bone bone marrow cancer.
And I begged God to bring her back, and He did.
[Cheers and applause.]
Wow.
You could tell that he was a beautiful human being.
I'm so excited he's on my team.
If that's not the most beautiful, gorgeous story Just It's making my whole day.
- Wow.
- And I'm so, so proud to say my team is full! [Cheers and applause.]
You would've been a four button.
You would have been four button for sure.
My team is fresh, really.
I think there's a fresh sound.
There's a fresh energy.
There's a lot of young people on my team.
They are ready to take over.
There's no holding back.
My team is about to be crazy unleashed, like, boom, boom, boom, boom, busting through.
I'm here to take home my first win.
Daly: Now Alicia prepares her team for the battles with the help of Grammy-nominated, triple platinum-selling producer, rapper, and king of Snapchat, DJ Khaled.
DJ Khaled.
Nice to meet you.
Thank you.
- What? - How's it going? [Laughs.]
What's up, man? You're the best, man.
No, we we When I saw DJ Khaled, I about lost my mind.
Wow! He's an amazing Grammy-nominated producer.
He's worked with Jay Z, Kanye.
He's all over the radio.
Let Hey! It reminds me, like, early '90s R&B, New Edition and Jodeci.
you know, and Jodeci and Whoa.
I'm just being honest, you know? However that goes at the end there with all the knives and guns y'all wanna bring out, that's fine.
[Laughs.]
But that first one got to be right.
Le-Le-Le-Let it, let it, let it, let it dress you down Know that I adore you Know that I adore you I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose Fire away, fire away It's just little pieces in the song, I feel like it could be stronger because I hear such great, strong parts.
I'm, like, "Man, I want them parts to be over here, too.
" Y'all have to work harder than ever to identify what does this song mean to you.
I am titaniuuuum And I'm still tippin' on it See, I'm not walkin' on it Or trying to run around it This ain't no acrobatics When you hit that stage, explode.
Some people talk about you like they know all about you When you get down, they doubt you And when you tipping on the scene What you talk about it? T-T-Talkin' about it When you get elevated, they love it or they hate it Alicia: I love my team.
My team for this battle round is amazing.

Team Alicia are winners, killers.
[Cheers and applause.]
Whoo! This is "The Voice" [Cheers and applause.]
Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
Now, before we head into the battles, let's look at how Coach Blake Shelton built his team of talented artists this season.
Season 11 winner Blake Shelton is back and hungry for his sixth win.
Oh, no, I didn't Oh, no, I didn't You know, I don't want to brag, but I did win Season 11 of "The Voice.
" I do know how to get somebody to the winner's circle.
That's five.
That's a lot.
Oh, yeah.
You like that? You like that? So, Blake won last season, so I'm sure that he's gonna be bragging that he won the show five times.
I've done it more than all three of those put together.
Pbht! [Laughs.]
Hopefully if you choose me, we'll get you in the finale, because I truly think you could be standing in the winner's circle.
I really do.
Wow.
It's so hard to go against Blake.
I want to beat him so bad.
I pick Blake.
- Blake.
- Blake.
Yes! Aaah! I pick Blake, too.
[Laughs.]
It's Season 12, and I still love this because every season presents itself with a fresh start.
Yes! That's why I love being a coach on this show.
[Laughs.]
Daly: Blake's first artist was 25-year-old country pop singer Lauren Duski, who broke from family tradition to follow her own path.
Lauren: I come from a family of dentists.
Other than me, there's really no one in my family who sings.
We're most certainly not singing dentists.
[Laughter.]
If I can make a team today, it would be a validation to know that I made the right decision in choosing music instead of dental school.
I hear the clock It's 6:00 a.
m.
I feel so far from where I've been Wipe the spots up off the mirror Don't leave the keys in the door I never put wet towels on the floor anymore Come on! What did that take? Five seconds? Whoo! All right! Thank you! Dreams last for so long Oh, my God! Even after you're gone And I know that you love me And soon, you will see You were meant for me Hey! And I was meant for you Wow.
Blake: Lauren is definitely one of those artists that you just know there's something special about 'em.
They just have a star quality.
You were meant for me And I was meant for you [Cheers and applause.]
Yeah! Ay-yi-yi.
Yes, sir! What I was so blown away by was, there's not a lot of singers that use every single part of their voice.
You were singing in your head voice, your chest voice.
I don't feel like I get to hear that very often.
Thank you, Gwen.
[Applause.]
What do you want to do? I always consider myself a country singer, but I love to sing anything that moves me.
Music.
Exactly, music, genre-less, beautiful music that suits you best.
Yeah.
If you can find me one of those good genre-less radio stations that they're gonna play you on, I can't wait to crank it up.
You're somebody who clearly can win this thing.
I pick Blake.
Yeah! Oh, man! Yes! Ah! Oh, I'm every woman It's all in me Daly: Another one for Blake was 24-year-old pop R&B singer Micah Tryba from Wheaton, Illinois.
Anything you want done, baby I'm every woman! [Laughs.]
One of Blake's biggest wins of the season was 32-year-old folk artist Valerie Ponzio.
I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down, down, down And those flames, they went higher Valerie is unique.
And it burns, burns, burns She's got a very earthy, very different quality about her sound.
The ring of fire The ring of fire I love that kind of Americana, storyteller kind of voice like she has.
The ring of fire [Cheers and applause.]
You got four! You got four! [Cheers and applause.]
Wow.
Gwen, I idolized you growing up.
Oh, son of a Like, I just was so obsessed with you and I just thought you were the so amazing.
That's crazy, 'cause I'm actually obsessed with you now, and I would love.
.
[Laughter and applause.]
I would love to work with you.
Let's not goof around with this, sis.
Adam: Uh-huh, yeah.
Let's Let's say that every time.
[Laughter.]
I say it every time, and I've got seasons-worth Yep.
of relationships with country artists Yes.
that you can turn on the radio and listen to right now.
Yes, we all know.
I, um I pick Blake.
Yes! [Cheers and applause.]
I'm mad.
That's one that got away.
Ugh! I was a little bit heartbroken.
I would have loved to work with her.
I wanted her! Daly: 23-year-old Ashley Levin's priority was caring for her ailing father.
I need a little bit of help.
All right, let's go.
To see somebody like that not getting to be themselves anymore, you know, it's just hard.
[Sniffles.]
Daly: But with her family's support, she was able to follow her dreams.
Ashley: I feel a huge weight on my shoulders.
But I can't wait to make my dad proud.
Let him Fly Yeah! Yeah! [Cheers and applause.]
Where are you from? I am from Miami, Florida.
But I recently moved to Nashville.
Yee-haw! It's super frustrating because Blake's here, and It is.
It doesn't matter what genre you're in.
That's so true.
He's gonna try to tell you, "I'm gonna give you a whole career afterward.
" But the truth is Which is true.
It It might be true, but the good news is, if we make it to the finale, I got the hookup.
[Laughter.]
That's so inappropriate to talk about us hooking up on TV.
That's not what she said.
Yes, that's what I heard.
I just did a country song with Blake Shelton.
Quit dropping my name.
Oh, my God.
We get it.
You love him.
But, seriously, like, who cares about genre? Okay, Ashley, who do you pick as your coach? Ashley: I've listened to you my whole life.
I pick Blake.
Yes! [Cheers and applause.]
- Attagirl! - Whoo! Gwen: I don't blame her.
Oh, I thought they talked you out of it for a minute.
Blake: Ashley chose me, and I'm so happy about it, because I was afraid the other coaches were gonna get in her head, and I really love the notes that she chooses You're awesome.
because I can't think of any other country artist that does that.
Hate you.
All I ask is If this is my last night with you Daly: Blake also added 25-year-old pop R&B singer Enid Ortiz.
Yee-haw! Yee-haw! Yeah! Daly: Next is one of the youngest members of Team Blake, 15-year-old high-school sophomore Aliyah Moulden from La Habra, California.
You ain't nothin' but a hound dog Been snoopin' round my door You ain't nothin' but a hound dog Round my door [Cheering.]
What?! How can that be you? Wow! How can that be you? There's no way.
Yeah, that was me.
You are the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.
Thanks.
I love what you brought to it.
I think by the end of this show, you're gonna be blossoming in a way that you never even imagined, and I would love to help you do that so that you don't make the wrong choices sometimes.
She's right about making wrong choices.
[Whistles.]
[Laughter.]
And you have so much energy and power in your vocals.
Thanks! And to be that calm in this setting at 15 years old, that's who I want on my team.
I want you on my team.
[Cheers and applause.]
I pick Blake.
- Whoo! - Yes! Blake: I do think Aliyah is special.
And the fact that she chose me nobody's more surprised than I am.
You picked me! She's somebody that can go deep into this competition with the right songs.
He always gets the young girls! [Laughs.]
This is "The Voice" Daly: Welcome back to the Best of the Blind Auditions.
TSoul, a 29-year-old soul singer from Richmond, Virginia, won Blake over with his big, classic sound.
TSoul: My real name is Terry.
Soul is just what I've heard all my life.
Everybody always told me, "You got a soulful voice.
It's so soulful.
" Take note And so I put "T" and "soul" together.
Hold me Love me Please me Tease me [Cheers and applause.]
Until I can't take no more [Cheers and applause.]
Yeah! I don't know why I love you like I do After all the changes That you put me through Stole my money My cigarettes And I ain't seen the worst of it yet I gotta know Can somebody tell me Am I here to stay? Hey, hey Take me to the river And wash me down Blake: TSoul, I mean, this guy he's got vocal cords that sound like vocal chains.
I mean, it's just a big, manly sounding voice, and I love that.
I have TSoul! Aaah! TSoul! - Yes! - Wow! You've got to be kidding me.
TSoul broke my heart.
What happened, man? Whoo! Too bad, he went to Team Blake, and he's not a country singer, so I don't understand why.
Man, Blake's like, [Imitates Blake.]
"So, I heard you're into singin' the R&B.
" [Laughter.]
He's like, "My favorite R&B is 'Ghostbusters II.
' You know, I've heard that soundtrack.
They got that Bobby Brown song.
" [Laughter.]
[Laughing.]
Oh, my God! Baby, even though you don't need me You don't need me, no, no Daly: Blake continued to build his team of talented artists, adding Nashville country pop singer Andrea Thomas.
Yay! Wow, what a beautiful, angelic voice you have.
Thank you.
Blake: Andrea is somebody that the other coaches are gonna learn the hard way that is somebody they need to watch out for.
Daly: Blake also picked up 17-year-old pop vocalist Dawson Coyle Thank you so much.
Girl, I feel so out of place and 40-year-old soul singer Josh Hoyer.
Ohhhhhh, yeah Pain will double if you leave me now 'Cause I don't know where to look for love Josh just has that weathered-sounding voice that just sounds so good.
[Cheers and applause.]
Daly: Blake's next artist is one of the youngest members in the competition, 14-year-old country singer Brennley Brown.
I am a huge fan of "The Voice," so to be here today, like, I can't I'm so, so excited.
She never even knew she had a choice That's what happens when the only voice she hears Is telling her she can't You stupid boy Come on, come on, come on, come on! You always had to be right And now you lost the only thing That ever made you feel alive Just the same old Same old stupid boy Blake: Yeah! [Cheers and applause.]
Oh, my God! Yes! Whoo! Oh, my gosh.
I'm so excited.
So, who is your inspiration? I grew up with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, the Highwaymen, Faith Hill.
Uh-oh.
Mm.
Holy moly.
[Laughter.]
Now we're talkin'.
Those are my roots.
None of that was good news for you, Alicia, but that is not that is not insurmountable, okay? Kick it.
[Cheers and applause.]
Okay.
I just did, if you recall, the ACMs with Cam honoring Little Big Town.
- Yes.
- So, real music transcends boxes.
Brennley, I would like to say that I have never been a guest artist at a at a country concert because I am the country concert.
[Cheers and applause.]
Wait a minute.
You don't want most people as possible to hear your message? Like, that's not a limit Yeah, sure, I do, but they're gonna have to turn it to a country station to hear it, though.
[Laughter.]
I pick Blake.
Yes! Whoo.
I'm so excited! Brennley! Blake: I love the potential that I have with somebody like Brennley.
The fact that Brennley is 14 years old, I think this girl can go a long way [Laughs.]
How about this right here? Oh, yeah.
You like that? You like that? Do you like that? Guys, somebody call the paramedic.
[Laughter.]
Blake's having a stroke.
Somebody Whoo, child.
Daly: Another big win for Blake was four-chair turn Casi Joy, a 26-year-old country singer from Nashville.
Blue Wow.
Oh, so lonesome for you Why can't you be blue Wow! Nice! Two seconds.
Over me? Whoo! Blue Oh, so lonesome for you Why can't you be blue over me? Casi Joy is one of those artists that comes along, and when you get 'em on your team, you go, "Oh, my gosh, I truly have a chance to win this thing this year.
" [Cheers and applause.]
[Whistling.]
Whoo! Wow! [Cheers and applause continue.]
You are so good! I would literally try to leap over the moon and back for you.
But I have been beaten down so many times by hearing a voice like yours, which clearly is rooted in that traditional country thing.
So I'm not gonna get my hopes up because I am too exhausted.
[Laughter.]
But I have sang in all genres, so I'm not just country.
I'd like to retract some of my previous statements.
[Laughter.]
Those were the rantings of a madman.
I [Laughter.]
I, uh I've changed.
I've changed, Casi.
Can I just clear the air? I am not tired.
I-I feel like I'm just in my prime.
[Cheers and applause.]
I am not giving up until Casi is on my team because this is meant to freakin' be.
I pick Blake.
Yes! [Cheers and applause.]
I was getting worried for a minute.
I couldn't be happier right now 'cause I do think we've only barely seen the tip of the iceberg with what Casi's capable of doing as a vocalist.
Wow! Wow! [Laughs.]
I'm very happy with the team that I was able to put together.
My team is full! [Cheers and applause.]
I want to win this season as badly as I wanted to win Season 1.
I really think that I have the winner on my team.
I can't wait to start the battles so I can get in there and start working with my team.
Whoo! Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo! Daly: Here is a sneak peek at Blake and his battle adviser, chart-topping country-music superstar Luke Bryan.
Finally.
12 seasons to get you here.
Yes, I missed you, buddy.
I'm glad you're here, buddy.
I love you.
Give me a kiss.
I missed you, sugar.
Luke Bryan may be the most popular artist in country music today.
- Oh! - Oh! How are y'all? I don't want to get hurt.
I thought my heart rate was under control.
Same! Thank you.
First of all, it's crazy to be working with Blake Shelton and then, like, Luke Bryan's sitting right next to him.
I was, like, "Is this happening right now?" I know I'm probably better off on my own Luke: I think "The Voice" is an amazing opportunity.
You're advising people that are gonna take your words and use 'em the rest of their lives.
And I just miss you And I just wish you were a better man Luke: And at the end of the day, watching stars be born, I don't think that ever gets old.
And I just miss you and I just wish you were a better man That's nice.
[Cheers and applause.]
How blue How blue Can you make me? Boy, that's perfection.
How long till I heal Casi: It's super special that it's Luke Bryan as our adviser because he is country.
I feel like this is probably my toughest battle.
Like, just toe to toe just Hey, you did this to yourself.
I know.
I know.
You did it to yourself, yes, you did.
Just makes me so mad.
Just the way you're bending harmonies, I was like [growls.]
- That's awesome.
- Yeah.
I'm walking on sunshine Whoa, oh-oh, oh! And don't it feel good? Hey, all right, now This performance is really good, but you're getting tripped up a little.
You're staring at the page still.
Like, you twirl her, and you're flipping your dadgum hair, and y'all are, like Yeah How'd I do? You just mentored people.
How does it feel? I'm walking on sunshine Whoa, oh-oh, oh! I'm walking on sunshine Whoa, oh-oh, oh! Don't it feel good? Hey! All right now And don't it feel good? Wow! [Cheers and applause.]
Yeah! 'Cause he loves me, and I love him.
[Laughs.]
Daly: Next, never-before-seen footage of our coaches.
Isn't that weird Which part? that you guys are, like, together, and you're, like, on the show? It's crazy.

[Laughs.]
Is it true? It's true.
I was so embarrassed that I was so [Laughter.]
What are you doing? [Laughter.]
Tell me what I have to say to you to get you to be on my team.
This is like picking cake.
Oh, my gosh.
I have cake.
I have cake.
I got tons of cake backstage.
You offered her cake backstage.
[Laughter.]
She said, "I want cake.
" She said, "I want cake.
" This is literally like seventh grade.
Even though Adam and Blake fight all the time, deep down, they love each other.
Let's talk about desperate You're like You're like, "I think they should name a day after you, Anatalia Day.
" [Laughter.]
That's desperate? Sometimes, Adam makes it a little too easy for me to make fun of him, and even though it is a little too easy, I'm still gonna do it.
Shut your pie hole.
Cake hole.
It's a cake hole.
[Laughter.]
Isn't that weird Which part? that you guys are, like, together, and you're, like, on the show? It's crazy.
Whoa, are you serious right now? Isn't that amazing? Are you really going there? Blake, it's interesting to see him with Gwen.
It's It's a whole new dynamic.
Hi, Blake.
Hi, pretty girl.
Ew.
Gross.
Adam: You know, he hasn't been making time for me lately.
I'm maybe a little jealous.
Ohh! [Laughter.]
I just miss my friend, you know? Makes me super sad.
[Laughs.]
Like, yeah.
And he just came over, and he goes Hey, give me five.
he goes, "She wanted" Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Excuse me, excuse me! Other hand.
[Laughter.]
Man: Whoo! But I just seriously It's not her fault.
He's dressed like a mime.
I don't wanna talk about it.
[Slurps.]
"Why would they pick me if they could pick you?" I don't know.
They wouldn't that's my point.
"Waah!" [Smooches.]
"I really like my sweater.
" [Laughs.]
I've been gone for a while, but things are still crazy here.
Blake: Hey, you know what? You need a hug.
You need a hug.
[Laughter.]
You know how girls just turn their back on boys, you know? That's what girls do.
[Laughter.]
'Cause he loves me, and I love him.
[Laughs.]
Adam: Dah dah dah Dah dah dah dah Blake: Let's get back to slammin' each other.
[Southern accent.]
Doesn't even matter what I say As long as it sounds country It's so weird, like, you gotta move your whole head.
[Laughter.]
I'm done laughing for the rest of the night.
That's it.
I'm done.
[Record needle scratching.]
Daly: And now, for the first time ever, our coaches come together for a special, unplugged, intimate performance.
Here's their take on TLC's "Waterfalls.
" A lonely mother gazing out of her window Staring at a son that she just can't touch Yeah.
If, at any time, he's in a jam She'll be by his side But he doesn't realize he hurts her so much But all the praying just ain't helping at all 'Cause he can't seem to keep himself out of trouble So he goes out and he makes his money The best way he knows how Another body lying cold in the gutter Listen to me Whoo! Don't go chasing waterfalls Please stick to the rivers and the lakes That you're used to I know that you're gonna have it your way Or nothing at all But I think you're moving too fast Alicia: Oh, here go my part.
Unh, unh.
I seen a rainbow yesterday But too many storms have come and gone Leavin' a trace of not one God-given ray Is it because my life is ten shades of gray? I pray all ten fade away Seldom praise Him for the rainy days And like His promise is true Only my faith can undo The many chances I blew To bring my life to anew Dreams are hopeless, aspirations A hope of comin' true Believe in yourself The rest is up to me and you 3, 4! Don't go chasing waterfalls Please stick to the rivers and the lakes That you're used to I know that you're gonna have it your way Or nothing at all But I think you're moving too fast Ooooh Yeah Don't go chasing waterfalls Please stick to the rivers and the lakes That you're used to I know that you're gonna have it your way Or nothing at all But I think you're moving too fast Alicia: Hey Blake: Ooh [Laughs.]
Adam: I love that.
That was it.
Wow.
I thought that, whatever that was, that was awesome.
Wow.
Wow.
