Wolf Watch (2014) s02e06 Episode Script

Orphaned

Welcome to Wolf Watch.
I'm your host, Jill Wagner.
Manning the decks is our house DJ, Cole Plante.
- Ooh! - Oh, yeah.
Tonight we're turning our attention to a pair of Teen Wolf mentors, and we've got Scott's mom, Melissa Ponzio.
And returning from beyond the grave, you may remember her as the darach.
But we prefer her as the lovely teacher Ms.
Blake.
Welcome back, Haley Webb.
Thank you, thank you.
And from the new MTV series Finding Carter, let's also welcome Alex Saxon.
Yeah! All right, uh, let's have you all share your wisdom about tonight's episode, shall we? - Yes, of course.
- Let's do it.
Um, I think they just keep getting scarier, don't they? - Yes.
- They do.
- High body count.
- High body count.
- Jeez - Elevated.
- What is wrong with us, huh? - Yes.
Uh, so, well, let's get into Melissa, I want to talk to you a little bit about Scott, who plays your son on the show.
He is relentless in his search for Liam, and this is kind of a kid that he really doesn't know that well.
So what does it say about his character? Like a wolf with a bone, he just will not give it up.
No, I mean, I think he's a really dedicated spirit, a dedicated friend.
Um, he is the kind of kid that believes that nothing will stop him.
And it won't.
Yeah, he's a tenacious kid.
All right.
Hayley, Peter agrees to train Kate, um, as long as he gets his, you know, return of his money and his power back.
Is there anything that he won't do to kind of further his standing in Beacon Hills? No.
And I think that's something that's been proven multiple times in pretty much every season except the time that he was gone.
- Yeah.
- Um, but no.
I think that is his M.
O.
It's, like, why he is around and still alive.
Yeah, he's a bit of a freight train.
Yeah, totally.
His his drive for power is just so great.
I don't think he I wouldn't call him a well, I kinda would call him a sociopath.
Mm, right.
I think that that's where him and Kate are alike.
Oh, absolutely.
Their characters I actually find more similarities in their characters than I do differences, which I hate Does that scare you? - Yeah! - To say that.
I hate to say that.
Um, okay, should we talk about - the money bag - Yes! That Scott finds in Garrett's locker? Yes, Cole.
Lots of - Money.
- Money.
Yes, power.
Alex, what would you do? Would you if you found all of that money, would you give it back? Be honest.
I was thinking about that.
I I don't know.
I know he's going through some struggles with the family and wants to help them out.
I I placed myself in that situation.
I have I have I feel funny about, you know, taking the "give a penny, take a penny.
" I feel a little weird about that.
You do? Nice.
So I'd like to believe that I'd be, like, "no, no, no.
" We gotta put this money in the right hands.
" Oh I just I wouldn't want to get tied up with it.
I wouldn't want wouldn't want my More money, more problems, is that how you feel? Yeah, exactly, exactly.
Plus, you're just a good person.
Yeah, I think he's way better than anyone else.
- What don't you have, Alex? - He's way better than anyone else with a flaw.
We're just flawed.
Just kidding.
Um, Melissa and Haley, you guys are here because you had a role as mentors on the show.
So I wanna know, on the show, what do you think is the best advice that your ch or the best lesson your characters taught another character on the show? I think that Jeff Davis I'll give it up to Jeff Davis every time.
He has pulled from some amazing moments in his life, mother conversations that he's had with his own mother, and he's kind of weaved that into our storyline.
Wow, I didn't know that.
Oh, yeah, that "be your own anchor" was from his mama.
Oh, my God! You know, I hear from friends and fans and our audience Al the time that those speeches really mean a lot to them, and so, give it up to Jeff Davis, y'all.
Jeff Davis.
I love Davis.
Well done.
- And mama Davis! - The whole Davis family.
Well well-played.
You have to be pretty smart to keep track of all the wolf stats from tonight's episode.
But let's see if we can put together an accurate tally, shall we? Okay, we'll start off easy with a disappointing lack of hookups.
Boo! There were two transformations, both done by Kate.
Nice.
You're welcome.
Yes.
All right, two shirtless guys.
Whoo! Brett and Liam.
Whoo! And, as for deaths, there were a lot of anonymous dead assassins and bodies in the wood, but we'll count four main ones.
We got Garrett, Violet, Meredith and the assassin that tells Kate about the orphans.
And for our bonus stat, two is the number of cassette tapes we saw, and they might be the last two cassettes left on the planet.
All right, now here's where we stand with the numbers for the season overall.
All right, we have to take our first break, but there's a lot more about this episode we need to talk about, people.
And we'll name our next Wolf Crush of the Week Cole, can we get some music? Thank you so much, sir.
Welcome back to Wolf Watch.
Jill Wagner and DJ Cole Plante here with two Teen Wolf mentors.
Mama McCall, Melissa Ponzio, and Ms.
Blake, Haley Webb.
Plus Alex Saxon here from the new hit series Finding Carter.
Oh, yeah.
All right, Alex, I wanna talk to you a little bit about your show Finding Carter 'Cause I think it's interesting.
The premise is a high school girl finds out that the woman who she thought was her mother was actually abducted her from her real mother.
- Yeah.
- So it's it's a really interesting, um, story.
What did you feel the first time you heard about the show? Oh, just "that is a fantastic premise.
" I mean, you'd heard about heard about people, like, being raised, you know, by their parents, who they you know, they thought they were their siblings or something.
But to find out that your whole world is not what you knew it to be.
Just really sit back and think about that.
They betrayed you and they were kind of Yeah.
And your biological family's been looking for you your entire life.
I mean, it's not like it's not like you went away and everything was cool.
Right, yeah.
A lot of confusion, a lot of confusion.
Can you tell us about the next episode? Oh, the next episode.
Well, it's it's always gonna bring the drama.
We find out more about Carter's friends from this new life that she's setting up.
Um, you know, there's lots of opportunity for betrayal there.
Nice! Everybody check it out.
- Finding Carter.
- Yeah, yeah.
- With Alex.
- Tune in tomorrow night.
All right, now let's jump back into some Teen Wolf.
So, Melissa.
We learn that satomi is a werewolf that was bitten - Yes.
- Not born.
- Correct.
- Okay, can you explain to everyone who may not know this what the difference between a bitten werewolf versus a born werewolf is? It all boils down to control.
People that are bitten have to learn control when they turn and also with, um, their urges.
And so it's it's a learning curve if you're bit.
You gotta learn fast how to control that stuff, 'cause you can't just be wolfin' out in all the crazy places.
Absolutely, control.
Control yourselves, kids.
Okay, um, Derek enlists Malia - to help find Brett's pack.
- Yes.
I think it's interesting because when you were there, Haley, Derek was much more of a loner.
So how do you feel about his new kind of ability to join the pack? I think it's a wonderful evolution of the character of Derek.
I think he always wanted to but never felt that he could.
And so now he is finding it, um, easier through experience and experiencing a lot of, uh, heartbreak and mistrust.
I think he is learning that lesson: To sort of trust people.
And he has a good group of people around him to sort of help him.
Okay, Alex.
I wanna talk about the screaming that we heard.
Meredith: We heard her scream really, really loudly.
- That was intense.
- Oh, yeah.
And apparently, it makes people's ears bleed.
Did you think that anybody could actually scream louder than Lydia? 'Cause we've heard her scream so many times.
That's just dangerous for your larynx there.
- She gives her all.
- I think Holland actually did hurt her voice by screaming so much.
Yeah, I'll bet, I'll bet.
I'll bet.
You You don't ever have to scream on your show, do you? I will never tell.
You have to find out.
On the next Screaming Carter.
Yeah.
That's your spin-off show: Screaming Carter.
Could you imagine if they screamed at the same time, though Like by their powers - Why would you do that to me? - Combined? - That would create a wormhole.
- What would happen? Okay, so let's change topics and get to our Wolf Crush of the Week.
And this week, we really are crushing on a wolf, by the way.
And it's the newest wolf in Scott's pack: Liam.
Things were looking pretty grim when he was trapped in that well, but he proved that he wouldn't give up, and it's that fighting spirit that earned him this honor.
Although checkin' out all that hotness on Deaton's table certainly didn't hurt either, now did it? All right, so congratulations, Liam, our Wolf Crush of the Week.
Go, Liam.
Oh, yeah.
All right, Scott may be Liam's Alpha, but to us, Tyler Posey is our Wolf Watch correspondent, and it's time to check out his weekly antics.
Oh, no.
Hi.
Tyler Posey here.
So Kate transformed Derek back into his tender high school self so she could take advantage of his You know, trust.
So I asked my Teen Wolf cast mates and Wolf Watch guests what age they'd like to go back to in this edition of Posey's poll.
Well, I'm only 15, gonna be 16 this year, so I'd probably want to go back to maybe 5 or 6.
You know, a lot of embarrassing stuff happened to me when I was 11, so maybe I would go back and, like, do it all over again.
I would probably just go back to being 21.
I was Miss California when I was 21.
Being 21, that's when you can drink, you can go out to the clubs.
I think four.
I just think being able to play house again would be great.
Like, eight, nine, ten.
Just those are the good old days.
I wish I could go back to those days.
I would probably go back to maybe seven, and I would eat a lot of candy.
I would have gone back in time and told my gym teacher, "I'm not gonna run the mile, and you can't make me, and it doesn't matter what you say.
I will still graduate.
" All right, uh, we have to take another break, but coming up, we'll find out if our guests know the difference between lines from the show And lines from one of the most iconic actors of our generation.
And we'll give you a preview of next week's episode presented by AT&T.
It's music time, Cole.
Yes.
I'm Jill Wagner, with DJ Cole Plante at my side.
And on the couch we have Melissa Ponzio, Haley Webb And Alex Saxon.
And you know what word sounds a lot like "Beacon"? "Bacon.
" Yeah.
- Bacon.
- It does.
- Bacon.
That's smart.
- And that inspired today's game.
We pulled a bunch of quotes from Teen Wolf and a bunch of quotes that Kevin Bacon has said in his movies.
And after I read each one, you have to tell me if you think it comes from Beacon or Bacon.
- The Beacon wars.
- Okay, are you guys ready? - Yes.
- Yes, always.
Let's play Beacon or Bacon.
"Okay, sweetheart, what nuthouse did you escape from?" - I'm gonna go Bacon.
- Oh, God.
I'm gonna head out the gate with Bacon.
Haley is the only one that got it right.
And it's from season three, episode 23, Insatiable.
- Well done.
- Thank you, guys.
- Good for you.
- Next quote: "Like trying to drive a toaster through a car wash.
" I'm gonna go with Bacon.
Oh, that was the whole thing? Oh, Bacon.
Bacon.
Bacon, yes! Can I just go with Bacon on all of them? Next quote: "I'm carrying a lethal weapon.
If I want curly fries, I will have the curly fries.
" Oh, man.
You're all right.
It's Beacon.
That's from Stilinski, season one, episode episode eight, Lunatic.
All right, next quote: "I just can't stand seeing some little freshman come in and steal the glory after you've worked your tushy off.
" I got it.
You're all right again.
Beacon.
Oh! - Yes! - You're so good.
That was from stiles, season four, episode three, Muted.
When's the last time you said "tushy"? - Uh, 1954.
- Right.
And you just dated yourself.
Thank you.
"Well, it's just I get the feeling you've been kissed a lot, and I'm afraid I'd suffer by comparison.
" Oh, man.
I'm just throwin' it up there.
I'm not 100% on it.
Oh.
- J'accuse.
- All right, it was Bacon.
Footloose.
Haley and Alex, you got it right.
- She's running away with this! - Alex, you are so close.
- I know it.
- We have one more.
She had to turn her paddle again.
No, it's fine.
Next quote: "I need to be forgiven, but you can't be forgiven, not for that.
" Kinda regretted this - You're winning! - Wow.
You all got it wrong.
It's from The Following.
Ooh.
Take that, Bacon.
Although I'm not I'm not unhappy that Haley - Yes! - is the winner of Beacon or Bacon I'm not.
It was well-deserved.
- Thanks, guys.
- Yeah, you earned it.
Haley, aren't you so excited? - Wow! - We have this amazing Oh, my gosh! Get out of here.
Beacon Hills jersey for ya.
- Thank you.
- And sunglasses.
They are so cool.
They say Wolf Watch.
And, by the way, the coolest part of 'em - They fold in.
- Oh, I love those so much.
They're transformers! More than meets the eye.
And, Haley, I'm not done with you.
Oh, my God.
This is the best day.
This time you get a golden mug That says "Wolf Watch Winner.
" I believe you got a "loser" last time.
- I did.
I actually yes.
- Well, that's changed.
- That's changed.
- May I? - Yes, you may.
- 'Cause I was so angry Thank you! Don't hold it for long, though.
Because I gotta give you something too.
- Oh, yay! - For each one of you, a "Wolf Watch Loser" mug.
- Fantastic.
- Yeah.
- Good for you.
- Loser.
You don't go away empty-handed here on Wolf Watch.
- I'm a loser! - It gets better.
All right, moving on, I got a special bonus scene from next week's episode of Teen Wolf.
And, unfortunately, Kevin Bacon isn't in it, but I thought you would all like to take a look at it anyway.
Let's do it.
Here we go.
Everybody stay in your seats.
I'll, um, be back in a minute.
Nobody leaves the room.
Oh! Get back! No! Do not come in here! Get back outside! Back to your seats.
Now.
Please.
I need the number of the CDC.
Yes, the centers for disease control.
All right, we need to take our final break, but stick around for a sneak peek of next week's episode.
And we'll meet an Alpha of the Week that puts the "T" in Teen Wolf.
Cole, hit it.
Welcome back to Wolf Watch.
I'm here with Melissa Ponzio Haley Webb, Alex Saxon, and DJ Cole Plante.
And we're about to talk to our Alpha of the Week I'm so excited because this woman does something that I'm pretty sure is unusual among the Teen Wolf fans.
She actually blends flavors of tea based on the show.
Hmm.
Let's take a look at her work right now, shall we? - Yes.
- Oh, nice.
"Sugar Puppy.
" - Sugar Puppy? - How cute.
- It's adorable.
- "On call.
" - We know who that is.
- Classic.
Wonderful.
- "Codebreaker" - Nice.
Well, I like that.
- I like me as a comic.
- I do too.
- I know, you look great.
- Nice.
All right, well, we've got her on chat right now.
- Good.
- So we can say hello to her.
Let's welcome Meg.
Meg, how are you doing? Welcome to Wolf Watch.
Thank you so much.
It's great to be here.
First of all, let me just say, that your teas are awesome.
That's such a unique idea.
And I know that you really love the show.
I just wanna know what you love about the show.
Uh, one of the things I love the most about Teen Wolf, is that you have these teenagers, and they're going through these, you know, catastrophic supernatural events, and it's just terrible, but despite all of that, they try to put other people first.
They just wanna do the right thing.
And I just I love that a lot.
I think it's great.
So tell me about some of the flavors, and tell me what your favorite is.
My favorite definitely is Scott's blend.
Um, Scott's my favorite character, so that works out, but, um, Sugar Puppy's my favorite.
It's just very naturally sweet.
All right.
Well, you know, Meg, I have some really great guests with me tonight.
Do you wanna ask them anything? If you could write any storyline for your character into the show, what would it be? Um, you know, I would like to see us explore our family tree, like, our relatives a little bit more.
Like, my mother, our grandparents.
- That would be fun.
- Right, okay.
Haley? I think I would have liked to know more - about my fellow druids - Oh, yeah.
That also got killed Um, whom I'm sort of avenging in the show.
So I think I would have loved to know more about my place among them, and who they were, and, you know, all that.
So I would have, like, loved to see that.
Uh, before we leave, I wanna I wanna try - some of this tea.
- Yes.
I gonna do a little taste test right now.
- Let's do it.
- Meg, I'm gonna do a little taste test of your tea.
- Should I stir it first? - I will tell you if it's good or bad or not, all right? - Okay.
- I'm not gonna hold back - Please do, please do.
- With you, Meg.
Meg, that's good.
Yay.
Cheers to Meg.
- Yay, Meg.
Whoo! - Cheers to Meg.
All right, thank you, uh, so much, Meg, for being on the show.
- Good-bye.
- Thank you so much.
Congrats again to Meg, our Alpha of the Week.
And, uh, we've reached the halfway point of the season, and the action is really starting to ramp up.
And if you don't believe me, here's proof.
Here's a preview of next week's episode.
Next, on Teen Wolf They were infected.
He killed them all.
What's happening to us? I can't see anything.
- Is someone in there gonna die? - Yes.
Scott, can you hear me? Scott! All right, as always, it's gonna deliver.
All right, I wanna thank our guests, Melissa Ponzio, Haley Webb, and Alex Saxon.
And, as always, thank you so much to my DJ Cole Plante.
Don't miss the after after show on MTV.
com, and the MTV app.
And next week on wolf watch, we'll get a visit from the current Beacon Hills power couple Stiles and Malia: Dylan O'Brien and Shelley Hennig.
And until then, I'm Jill Wagner reminding you to watch your back.
You never know what creatures are lurking out there in the dark.
All right, Cole, let's wrap this thing up.
High five, high five.
