BAM: Builders of the Ancient Mysteries (2020) Movie Script

I've always asked myself
so many questions?
I was always bored in school,
where all the questions were answered
except the important ones.
I spent my time daydreaming,
thinking about the things
that surround us.
Easter Island,
the Pyramids of Giza,
Machu Picchu.
Legendary places, that
have made us all dream at some point.
You can ask yourself questions,
so many questions.
But asking the right people
is truly an art,
a priceless art
that everyone can afford.
This is how, after many years,
I found myself looking
at our planet's past,
far, far back in time.
And what I discovered changed my view of the past
forever.
I did a lot of reading
before investigating the site.
Many things are highly
improbable, contradictory, and confusing,
which could mislead those who
know nothing about the subject
and convince them that there is
nothing interesting
in the ruins of ancient people on our planet.
However, the perfection found in these ancient buildings
defies the modern mind - so I decided to surround myself
with competent people,
who could enlighten me and thus
avoid any hasty conclusions.
As the investigation progressed,
uncovering new elements along the way,
I saw the look in their eyes change, and so did mine.
I had to put aside
my preconceptions and prejudices.
What the French philosopher Descartes called
"wiping the slate clean".
I had to remember the time
when I looked at the world differently,
in a simpler way.
And that reassured me, inspired me, and gave me hope,
Because perspectives are always brighter than we can imagine.
So let's start quietly then
with one of the most famous ancient sites on Earth,
a small island lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean,
Rapa Nui, Easter Island.
Easter Island is a spot of land in the middle of the Pacific Ocean
located 3,700 kilometers from the coast of Chile
and about 4,000 kilometers from French Polynesia.
In a period of 100 years, the people of Rapa Nui
are thought to have carved about 1,000 volcanic stone giants,
using Moai, stone from a crater, used as a quarry.
Some were erected on platforms called Ahu,
located in various places on the island.
Here are the most important ones:
Tongariki, the largest Moai formation.
Te Pito Kura, the 'Navel of the World',
with the largest Moai
moved from the quarry, lying on its side.
Anakena Bay,
where Moai are crowned with red Pukao.
Tahai, where we restored the white eyes of the Moai.
Vinapu, the oldest Ahu on the island
according to archaeological studies.
And Akavi, the only formation where the Moai look out to sea
and more specifically, to the equinox sun.
Let's quickly review the island's history
before touching on the important questions it raises.
The extraordinary epic of the Rapa Nui people begins there.
In Anakena Bay, where King Hotu Matu'a,
who left Polynesia with his bravest men, first landed.
It is widely believed that they built a prosperous society,
and the most accepted hypothesis
states that Rapa Nui society collapsed
after tribal wars over the centuries,
while deforestation occurred because of the statues.
However, in light of the latest archaeological discoveries,
Perhaps the reality was quite different-
The epidemics brought by the Spanish sailors
at the end of the 18th century,
slave raids at the end of the 19th century,
and their consequences almost wiped out the population
We must remember that the population here
was down to one hundred and ten or one hundred and one people at one time-
The loss of scribes and guardians of Rapa Nui culture
who became forced laborers in Peruvian mines
and subsequent Christian evangelization campaigns
almost destroyed the culture of these people-
Rapa Nui may have originated from Hiva Oa
about 3600 kilometers to the northwest-
At 3600 kilometers,
one does not embark on such a journey lightly-
One must consider food, and especially water-
We're talking about a 30 to 50-day journey in a canoe,
involving a certain level of logistics-
There must be enough supplies for the return trip in case of failure-
One may not fully grasp what this expedition could mean-
One can eat fish, but enough water must be provided,
especially considering the immense effort-
One needs to know in advance
how many days at sea
there are before reaching land-
Hotu Matu'a first sent scouts in various directions,
and by chance, one of them discovered Easter Island,
which would then begin another expedition-
Or did they leave randomly and by luck
discover this spot of land in the Pacific Ocean?
Instead,
perhaps they knew the island's location beforehand,
which raises the question of how they could have known about it-
Linguists cite the similarity of the Rapa Nui language
to the proto-Polynesian language,
the former may have actually evolved during migrations,
which all confirm the oral history of Rapa Nui.
They claim they made this journey
directly from the island of Hiva Oa.
If it's true that they all migrated from this place called Hiva,
linguistic evidence suggests that Rapa Nui
left this group of people first, and came here.
Of course, they all spoke the same language at that time.
We hear all sorts of things about this island,
but it's hard to reconstruct
the true story of the Rapa Nui people,
terribly damaged by multiple invasions.
Recent archaeological studies
contradict the accepted idea of a warrior nation.
According to the American anthropologist Carl Lipp,
mata, obsidian blades long considered weapons,
may actually have been tools for carving and gardening,
suggesting their lack of pointed advice.
There are also no traces of fortifications on the island.
Then there are films that show
little respect for the Rapa Nui people,
to the point that after
filming on the island, an American production company
simply dumped unused Moai into the ocean.
But let's get technical.
The giant Moai of Rano Raraku,
which is 22 meters high
and weighs about 250 tons,
is often displayed.
But we rarely see these Moai
that were carved inside the side walls
and thus complicated their future extraction.
One might think they weren't carved for extraction,
yet, because they're not visible at ground level,
why go to so much trouble?
These Moai weigh between 40 and 60 tons
and are located about 15 kilometers from the quarry,
Where were they quarried from?
Some moai were topped with Pukao,
hats made of red volcanic tuff
quarried here, at Puna Pau,
12 kilometers from the Rano Raraku quarry
in the back of this crater-
Then the Pukao were transported and lifted
and placed on the heads of the moai
sometimes at a height of 8 meters-
How?
Very simply, according to this interpretive sign-
Perhaps someone has a better explanation
but no one thought it would be useful
or important to specify here-
In fact, nobody really knows-
We may have vague hypotheses regarding transport
and we think the moai were erected
to protect the homes they were facing,
although the statues tend to look more at the sky than the ground-
Experiments were set up on flat surfaces
to simulate the transport of 5-ton moai
However, it's impossible to confirm the same process
was possible with an 80-ton moai like this one-
Ahu Vinapu differs from other sites
because of its massive architecture-
I ask myself simple questions-
For example, regarding this ahu
because it's the oldest island
leads to some troubling questions-
Being the oldest and still in place
it shows that this construction method
was the most resistant, and therefore the safest-
It was the best advertisement for this technique-
And true to the idea of constant progress of Homo sapiens,
one would expect later sites to be built in a similar way
or even better-
And the problem is that, in reality,
all the ahu built after this one
were never as big
or as precisely assembled,
and they all ended up collapsing.
But not the ahu of Vinapu.
And so, the questions are:
Of all the builders on
Rapa Nui who followed,
did none of them notice that the only viable method
was the one used for "Ahu Vinapu"?
And if they did, why didn't we reproduce this technique?
So the secret of this structure
is a unique case
lost to history,
or the Rapa Nui people had nothing to do with its construction.
One might notice
a very strong similarity
in style between "Ahu Vinapu"
and the structures attributed
to the Incas, in Peru.
Genetic analyses
of the island's chickens
indicate there were contacts between the two peoples,
but we don't know in which direction.
The destination is Peru, and more specifically Cusco,
the ancient Inca capital, like Rapa Nui,
was referred to as the "navel of the world" by its inhabitants.
Both tribes considered
themselves the center of the world,
or perhaps the Earth has
many navels.
The problem in Peru
is that there is little information
about the time before the arrival
of the Catholics and the destruction of the Inquisition.
This means one might be confused regarding
the history of the buildings and their techniques.
This church was built directly
over an Inca temple in Coricancha,
completely covering it.
However, the Catholic Church wasn't alone in this use
of this somewhat arrogant method, as it was practiced everywhere
by conquerors and settlers.
Like here, this mosque
over the Temple of Luxor in Egypt,
or again, the Temple of Jupiter
in Baalbek, Lebanon,
Where the Romans preferred to build
over existing foundations
Which is understandable, as each block
weighs over 1,000 tons.
Here, the Church sought to destroy the archives of these people
so that everyone would accept the popular image
of the bloodthirsty, barbaric Inca
engaging in human sacrifice.
It's truly sad to see how these 1,000-year-old peoples
and their immense knowledge are hated,
knowledge we're only just beginning
to rediscover, especially in medicine.
And in politics too. Before the Europeans arrived,
the Inca Empire had almost succeeded in unifying all its peoples.
It was important to avoid any further rebellions.
So, they had a radical option:
one that kills the leaders and spreads confusion among
the people, crushing the rebellion.
The method is as old as the world itself.
Well, actually, maybe not.
4,500 years before the Europeans arrived,
life was very different on the Pacific coast of Peru.
And there had been a civilization
there for a long time. The vast city of Caral bears witness to this.
Caral is the oldest American city to date.
This vast city was remarkably organized,
with streets, plazas, housing,
terraces, and pyramid-shaped temples.
It dates back 5,000 years,
which is almost 3,000 years before our time.
According to Egyptologist dating,
this giant mother city was contemporary with the pyramids of Giza.
Archaeological studies indicate the destruction of Caral
around 3,800 years ago
after earthquakes or other climate-related disasters.
The city was a big problem for those who studied it,
as no fortresses or weapons were found,
And so they had to acknowledge the amazing possibility of this city
living in peace for over a thousand years
through trade with its neighbors.
All of this means, how unlikely it seems to modern man
to live in peace for long periods of time.
When one discovers a site like Caral,
the main difficulty for archaeologists is its state,
which makes reconstructing daily life difficult.
One might find small stone blocks, connected to each other by clay cement.
The same technique we might find later in Machu Picchu
or in Ollantaytambo,
which would later evolve towards greater precision.
Perhaps they started building Caral with small stones
and it could have been completed with a precise technique
as we might see in the latest parts of Machu Picchu.
It would be a natural evolution of the technique over time.
Discovered in 1911,
at a time when it was thought that the Incas in Europe were still savages,
this city was unknown to the Spanish
during their occupation of Peru.
It shows great technical expertise,
especially in water management and its distribution system.
Its stone complexes integrate harmoniously
into the environment.
However, apart from the significant work
of bringing materials to the site,
it presents no particular difficulty.
But what amazed me was the heart of the site,
built in a completely different style.
Huge andesite blocks, very hard stone,
assembled with precision without any sealing,
meaning stone against stone.
If this stone comes from a quarry
on the other side of the valley,
then one truly wonders
how they could have moved these heavy blocks up a steep slope.
And why this difference in style?
One might not use the same methods for ritual buildings
as for residential buildings, and I can understand that.
But why then are some walls "mixed"?
This could be due to hidden repairs,
but then, the question would be why weren't they repaired similarly?
One can see that the assembly techniques for the large blocks
are older compared to the techniques for the small blocks.
Why?
The small blocks are placed on top of the large blocks.
Here, similar to Ahu Vinapu on Easter Island,
the builders assembled complex polygonal shapes
that don't seem to present any kind of difficulty.
Let's draw some comparisons
that are meaningless according to archaeology,
like the sites we are going to compare
separated by thousands of kilometers
and built thousands of years apart.
Here you can see a wall corner assembly at Machu Picchu
and another from the Valley Temple at Giza in Egypt.
One might notice the same kind of general symmetry of shape
as here, still in the Valley Temple in Egypt
and there, in the heart of Machu Picchu.
At Machu Picchu...
And at the Valley Temple...
One can interpret these parallels
from the fact that faced with the same difficulty,
humans will all find the same solution.
But, apart from the similarities,
what can we learn?
Simply that one does not assemble blocks randomly
and if necessary, they are cut to create these patterns
which gives us an idea of the level of mastery required.
How about this for logic?
One starts by assembling highly resistant constructions
with massive stones
And over time, one builds less resistant structures
with brick-sized stones-
Progress!
Here, these stones have come apart
after one or more earthquakes
Let us understand two things:
First, the work is done with precision on the inner faces,
assembled at their full depth,
then the stone on the left is slightly twisted,
and the block on the right perfectly matches this twist,
duplicated on the right to mirror the left.
Do you realize the difficulty of achieving this?
Practically speaking, this complex work
doesn't seem useful in any way-
If these walls are an evolution of the techniques in Caral
a thousand years earlier,
then where does this style with massive stones come from?
Where is the logic in all this?
It's more obvious at Sacsayhuamn,
the fortress with three enclosures
hanging over Cusco, Peru,
the ancient Inca capital-
Three giant outer walls on three levels,
made of blocks weighing tens of tons,
assembled with extreme precision-
Over 400 meters long,
the stones at the corners weigh over 200 tons,
and others weigh up to 60 tons-
What is the purpose of this fortress?
Three outer walls on this scale where,
militarily speaking, we find many weaknesses-
If this was just a way to show off strength,
perhaps they went a bit too far-
On site, guides are happy to tell us
that the entire site represents the head of a puma,
and that this fortress represents its teeth,
the rest being made up of the outer walls of ancient Cusco-
It's a nice story, one might already recognize the eye,
but how confident can we be about that?
What I've observed is that the builders must have been able to move,
lift, and assemble stones weighing tens of tons,
But how reliable can that be?
What I noticed is that the builders must have been able to move
lift and assemble stones weighing tens of tons
But when repairing damaged stones
or missing
this is what they had to do.
In Ollantaytambo, still in Peru, we find the same thing.
One can see these walls made of small stones,
classic Inca era, and these assemblies there.
Here, traces of the first settlements
date back to 600 to 400 BC.
So they're quite old.
If these were the same builders
then they lost their knowledge along the way
for some unknown reason
they couldn't complete or repair them in the same way.
You can believe what you want.
The style and quality of the stone
and the difficulty of the work are by no means the same.
Since the repairs are in the upper layers of the walls
this means the stones underneath are older.
The builders, here again, started assembling
giant stones with great precision
to finish with smaller stones assembled with less precision?
At the site of Ollantaytambo
my eye was drawn to blocks of black stone carved in a certain way.
I heard a guide say that there's a connection between this site
and the site of Tiwanaku in Bolivia,
that similar techniques were used.
That being said, the sites were not dated from the same period
but there again, that was somewhat unclear.
I decided to head to Tiwanaku
across the Andes
on the other side of the famous Lake Titicaca.
What makes the Tiwanaku plateau interesting is the following:
a wide enclosure of walls and columns,
Unless none of this is original.
It's actually a reconstruction based on an archaeologist's vision.
This is the site as depicted before its 1892 restoration.
On site, nobody tells you anything.
There isn't even a sign telling you it's already been restored.
One could believe it's an original site.
But strangely, the creative archaeologist
didn't find it useful
to take a look at the site of Puma Punku, which is about a kilometer from here.
The pre-Inca builders, it is said,
So, pre-Inca.
And they would have built all this.
What happened there?
Why was this site destroyed?
Is the dispute between shamans mentioned?
If that was indeed the reason,
it would have been wise to avoid angering them at the time
because they would have quickly smashed some of the slabs
weighing a few dozen tons.
I had asked my geologist, Erich Gnther, to come with me
as I wanted his advice on the technical means used.
Erich told me that in India, stone cutters still use the same
or almost the same methods
as those used thousands of centuries ago.
Except for the use of hardened steel, very fine,
which has been replaced by carborundum or other hard alloy tips.
When using hardened steel tools,
stone cutters usually strike 5 or 6 times at most
before sending them off again for cooling.
Erich insisted on the fact
not to underestimate human capabilities.
You need to know that,
as soon as you question the academic version,
others will immediately suspect
that you think everything was built by aliens.
That's what 'not underestimating human capabilities' means -
It suggests we necessarily expect an extraterrestrial solution
to the tool problem.
But to tell you the truth, although I can't explain the methods used,
I don't feel this was something made by beings
capable of traveling the universe.
I advise Eric to wait a bit before making a decision.
The next day, we'll use our profilometer,
a tool that measures surface flatness
thanks to a tiny diamond tip
maneuvered by a computerized arm.
The first measurements on
randomly chosen stones
yield more than acceptable results.
Then, when we start selecting stones,
trying to find some
in better condition than others,
the numbers become more precise.
Then we get to the stone I'd been looking at all morning.
Eric places the profilometer on it.
I'm curious to know the result,
as the block seems particularly smooth.
The graph shows it's very flat.
The difference between the highest
and lowest point on the surface...
Knowing that 1 micron is 0.001 millimeters,
or that you'd need 1,000 microns to get 1 millimeter,
30 microns, 0.03 millimeters.
This surface is ten times smoother than
modern flat concrete.
Already observed by Christopher Dunn,
an aerospace engineer who built his career on precision.
In a hotel room, we cleared a table
that had a glass tabletop.
The glass tabletop was within 7 thousandths of an inch
of being flat.
Out at Pumapunku and taking that musical instrument,
He was talking about copper and scraping.
Believe me when I tell you he chooses his words carefully on camera.
At 300 kilometers,
moving rocks weighing a few tons across the Andes,
and at this distance, it doesn't seem to surprise him much.
Nothing replaces an actual visit.
Although sometimes, from a distance,
we might discover certain things.
One might notice this pattern on a tablet.
A researcher told me this pattern
was also present at another mysterious site in Peru,
over 700 km as the crow flies.
Nazca.
On this arid plateau, enormous lines and depictions of animals
were drawn on the ground by the Nazca people.
The earliest evidence of these people
dates back about 2,300 years.
Except for a few stylized representations of animals,
one can mainly notice straight lines.
This is ten times smoother than modern flat concrete.
Some stretch for several kilometers.
The entire site covers thousands of square kilometers.
We often hear of the Nazca "tracks"...
And some have not hesitated to call them
extraterrestrial landing strips.
How could you seriously think
that people could fly across the universe?
You might need a landing strip drawn on the ground to land,
just like one of our airplanes?
That sounds as silly as the hypothesis
that the geoglyphs were meant to summon gods
to ask for water, which is scarce in the region.
This means considering the elders fools.
At that time, one probably had better things to do
than waste time in a barren area where nothing grows.
Here again, we know nothing.
Although these figures are enormous,
their creation may have been difficult,
but far from impossible.
What matters to me is why -
animal drawings are often displayed?
But the lines are more impressive -
And both overlap strangely in places,
as if we were looking at two different eras and styles.
On the one hand, we have
animal drawings and representations of living beings,
although neither lived at this latitude.
On the other hand, we find enormous, abstract geometric lines.
This doesn't fit with people who are supposed to possess
only primitive technology.
Similar to the H-shaped Puma Punku blocks.
Let's look at what we have.
From the Rapa Nui people to the Inca Empire,
partly due to foreign invasions,
we don't know for sure why and how
of all these constructions?
But we can see that they were usually executed
in hard-to-reach areas,
in the desert, on hilltops,
or on steep mountain slopes.
Every time,
there seem to be at least two different eras
and the older era
seems to have a taste for abstract geometric patterns.
Peru is a vast and fascinating land
like its people.
It is said there are over 1200 listed sites
and one would need a lot of time to see them all.
Sometimes I just trust my intuition
and let myself be guided by the people I meet.
This is how I discovered the next site.
After driving about 30 km on a dirt track,
This site is difficult to access.
A low stone wall covers the back wall.
Another stone wall outside
leads us to believe we are in some kind of enclosure.
So far, nothing unusual except the fact that
for reasons unknown, the other side wall has been cut.
And as we turn, we discover that at the entrance to this cave,
the stones have been entirely carved.
Here again, the feeling you get
is of two different eras in the construction of the structure.
It's strong.
This feeling is confirmed by these external structures
in the same style as a sheepfold.
A final imitation?
The work is clean and the cuts are beautiful.
But wait till you see the next site.
Located far from Peru,
in India, in the Bihar region.
We find 7 fully excavated caves from huge granite blocks,
spread over two main sites.
Four in Barabar
and three in Nagarjuni.
Of these, two are still unfinished.
They are considered the oldest caves in India
and were probably built between the 3rd and 2nd centuries
BC, about 2,300 years ago.
During the reign of King Ashoka,
according to the sacred texts carved at the entrance of 3 of the caves.
There are many other caves in India,
but these are unique because of their features.
Here again,
one may notice the same contrast
between the age of the construction
and the sobriety of its geometric shapes.
They were carved in granite rock,
a material harder than reinforced steel?
In these photos, the surfaces look like cement-
However, this is an optical illusion
due to the light and transparent granite crystals
polished to the extreme, giving the impression of a rough surface-
In reality, they are like this, everywhere-
I asked Jean-Louis Poustel,
an experienced stonemason
who has been working granite for over 40 years
without any modern tools, his opinion-
I didn't even have time to tell him
these photos were taken with a highly sensitive camera
that allows us to photograph in the dark
as if in full light-
In fact, with a normal camera,
this is what we got-
However, the age of these caves is no less than 2300 years-
The dating relies solely
on the inscriptions carved at the entrance of 3 of them-
However, looking at these inscriptions in detail,
we can see that the work is far from as clean
as the work produced inside the caves-
In the most complex caves,
the granite has literally become unstable in some parts,
a natural phenomenon
which suggests that these caves might be older than we think-
On this massive stone,
two caves have been carved on this side-
The one on the left is completely finished inside,
and the entrance also appears to be finished-
The one on the right displays a curved portico
in the Buddhist style, corresponding to the reign of King Ashoka,
but the interior is unfinished-
The side with the surface area is more than 3 sides-
but the vault, floor, and dome are still raw-
We don't understand why the cave
with the portico wasn't finished, it's clearly special
Looking closely at the portico,
we can see the work is easy on the eye, so to speak.
But, as beautiful as it looks,
it can't compare to the work done
on the inner walls of the cave.
This portico is off-center and not vertical.
Nothing compared to the precision
in the construction of the caves.
According to some archaeologists,
this unfinished cave could explain in detail
how the other caves were built.
It's difficult, looking at this work,
to imagine it might have looked like this one day.
Even more impossible,
since the blows on the vault go deeper in some areas.
This cave seems to show a failed attempt
perhaps made in a cave that was discovered unfinished.
A king wouldn't take over an already finished cave,
but would likely finish a cave, including some modifications.
Which explains the difference in the floor levels.
And maybe his men didn't succeed.
Of course, this is just speculation on my part.
The contrast between the wall and the surface
and the ceiling seems to confirm the idea of reuse.
We'll need to study this room further
to fully understand the chronological sequence of the work
and either confirm this hypothesis or set it aside.
We measured the surfaces with a roughness meter.
There's an average difference of a few microns.
These surfaces are almost as smooth as glass.
But that was when we took the measurements
that I started to understand.
The tolerance for precision ranges between about 2 and 5 mm.
Taking measurements with a rangefinder
is difficult because the walls are sloped.
What tools were used to achieve such precise work?
Some imperfections in the polishing confirm that
these caves were handmade,
making the need for precision even clearer.
When I say 'handmade',
I'm thinking of very powerful portable tools,
alongside simple chisels and hammers.
But why this precision?
What's the point?
A gap of a few centimeters
would be hard to see with the naked eye in full light.
I was leaving Parabar
with the feeling that these caves had more to offer.
However, we could no longer rely on a profilometer
and a rangefinder; we needed more precise equipment.
From Easter Island to India, via Peru,
we might notice two very different styles.
The older work is also larger,
more precise, and better assembled.
This is the case on Easter Island, in Ollantaytambo,
in Machu Picchu,
in Nuba Ingisa,
and in Egypt.
Why this need for precision?
I was traveling to Egypt with Erik Gnther,
who was becoming more and more embarrassed
by all our discoveries.
Few scholars agree to appear in these kinds of films;
they're afraid of looking like crackpots to their colleagues.
But like me, he wanted to understand.
He and I had no hypothesis.
I was just uncovering facts based on intuition
that I was looking to validate with reason
while he took measurements and data.
The granite used to build the sarcophagi
comes from a quarry in Aswan,
about 900 km from Saqqara.
It's located a kilometer from the Nile,
the distance over which 22 sarcophagi
had to be transported.
However, despite it being an extraordinary feat,
the surfaces are slightly less precise than those observed at Barabar.
How did these 22 sarcophagi
and their lids get moved into such a small space?
Why, again, the need for such precision
for sarcophagi intended for the bull cult
even if these bulls were sacred?
How did they work underground?
How did they get enough light to accomplish this polishing?
What were their tools? How did they breathe?
Have Egyptologists considered these questions in their publications?
If this is the case,
I'm more than curious to know the answers.
Because these are the kinds of tools one talks about
when discussing stone-cutting techniques
in ancient Egypt.
When we look at ancient Egypt
and trace their civilization over 3,000 years,
we're told they used very simple tools
at the beginning of their civilization,
like copper chisels and wooden mallets,
stone chisels and stone hammers.
Then you follow the progress of that civilization
over 3,000 years and it ends up
they're still using the same tools they started with.
That doesn't make sense.
Christopher Dunn presents an engineer's perspective
through all his observations.
Regardless of the techniques,
the thought process is strictly the same over the ages,
especially concerning the complex structure of ancient Egypt.
The tools must have evolved.
We go from one stone to a bound stone to an intermediate
Then, little by little, the tool is perfected.
However, despite the fact that the main pieces were created,
for some unknown reason, perhaps it didn't happen that way.
Especially when you look at what they created,
because the tools they found in the archaeological records
are incapable of creating these artifacts from that period.
Convinced for over 20 years that the Egyptians
are indeed the creators of these structures,
Christopher Dunn has been tracking their tools.
It's clearly more detailed regarding their constructions
and what he details in his work.
Each stone of the outer wall weighs between 200 and 400 tons.
It's completely surreal.
So much so that no one has tried to figure out
how they could have done this.
Then these stones were covered with pieces of granite
from Aswan, as usual.
We notice that all these huge stones have different shapes
that fit together precisely.
I have not heard or read any serious explanation
regarding the construction of this temple,
as if stacking stones weighing 200 to 400 tons
was just child's play.
For some, the builders would have used ramps to lift them.
Others mention cranes.
Get some information regarding
the difficulty of moving such heavy loads,
and you will understand that the mystery
is far from being solved.
Sites that, according to our history, have no common denominator
except for the fact
that they were built by people
who were barely clothed.
The Valley Temple is located below Giza
hundreds of meters from the largest pyramids.
At the 30th parallel, about 4500 years ago,
The Great Pyramid of Giza could have been built-
If we go by Egyptology's dating,
there's no text mentioning its construction.
Nor the construction of the Middle Pyramid,
also known as Khafre's Pyramid,
nor the Small one, also known as Menkaure's Pyramid.
In fact, that's not entirely true.
Papyrus fragments dated to the end of the Fourth Dynasty,
discovered in 2013,
don't mention the transport of limestone blocks from Tura,
those used for the casing of the Great Pyramid,
but nothing else.
No mention of the more than 2 million limestone blocks
that came from other quarries.
Its construction remains a mystery to this day.
The Giza site was built on a limestone plateau,
originally from the hills in the land.
As we see in the Middle Pyramid.
For the Great Pyramid, the builders kept part of the hill,
a kind of giant core about 6 meters high,
around which they built.
First, they paved about 60,000 square meters of surface,
minus the surface of the core,
which allowed them to keep a large part of the blocks
for construction. But these paving blocks,
weighing 1.5 tons on average, are not all identical
and have complex shapes,
making their joining even more complex.
This is made more complex as the ground was carved
to insert these blocks.
It's a giant 3D puzzle.
Once that was done, they built the pyramid's base,
which is almost flat,
as Egyptologist Mark Lehner observed.
He discovered a difference of just a few centimeters
from one end of the paving to the other,
which stretch for 230 meters.
We often wonder how they achieved this accuracy
with the basic tools generally attributed to the Egyptians.
That is, if they were indeed the builders of this site.
Then they assembled over two million limestone blocks
in successive courses to the top.
There again, we can see that the height of the courses is not the same
and the blocks all have different shapes,
meaning they didn't place the blocks randomly.
It was worked with such precision
that the edges of the pyramid remain unbroken to the summit.
Today, the casing blocks
made of limestone from Tura are missing.
The blocks may have fallen following a violent earthquake
in the 14th century.
The casing that we can still see on top of the middle pyramid.
The casing that made the Great Pyramid
perfectly smooth on the outside.
It was oriented with astonishing precision to true north,
with a deviation of only 1/500th of a degree.
An accuracy that would take us
thousands of years to achieve again,
even with our modern equipment.
The first difficulty was establishing
the orientation lines on the ground with such precision.
And the second,
to lift 2 million blocks,
while maintaining that accuracy.
How did they do it?
Nobody knows.
The base of the Great Pyramid
is not perfectly square, but slightly octagonal.
This indentation is visible in these photos
as well as in satellite images.
For unknown reasons, the small pyramid also has this peculiarity,
but not the middle pyramid.
What does that mean?
Besides managing to lift each round of blocks in different sizes,
they also had to deal with this indentation all the way to the top,
making construction extremely difficult.
The Great Pyramid was so smooth
that it made the entrance on the north face impossible to see.
How can we confirm that with such certainty?
Because if that wasn't the case,
in the 9th century, Caliph Al-Ma'mun's men
would not have dug a long tunnel inside the Great Pyramid,
just a few meters below the actual entrance.
This confirms that, still at that time,
there was no visible entrance.
Furthermore, either they were very knowledgeable
or they were extremely lucky
that the tunnel was dug on the exact face of the pyramid
and precisely reached the junction
of the ascending and descending passages.
We note, in passing,
at this entrance, all the inner layers of blocks
are precisely fitted together.
We feel as if we're in a small block of limestone.
It gives an idea of the overall work.
According to Professor Andr Pochan,
a mathematician, physicist, and teacher
at Cairo High School in the 1930s,
this indentation
would have allowed what he calls
the "lightning phenomenon",
precisely indicating the equinoxes,
as shown in this Royal Air Force aerial photograph.
This led him to photograph this phenomenon
on March 21, 1934,
using infrared cameras, the peak technology of the time,
to show the temperature differences on the south face,
here in these three photos taken 15 seconds apart.
Thanks to this indentation
when the sun hits the hills at the equinox,
it first illuminates half of the south face for a few seconds,
dividing it into two equal halves,
then goes on to illuminate all of it
leading to what Professor Buthan
called "lightning" -
For some, Buthan is wrong; in their opinion,
the casing of the Great Pyramid had no indentation.
To confirm this, they look at the few casing blocks
visible on the north face of the Great Pyramid.
There again, when you look further,
you'll find these blocks are not the original ones.
You can see them here,
photographed by the Morton brothers.
Despite some damage, these blocks are in excellent condition
compared to the blocks behind them,
which have not been exposed to the air since the 14th century.
Here you can see them a century later, completely eroded.
Let's think logically.
Why would these builders have greatly complicated their work
by managing to raise indented faces
with blocks of different sizes
in order to
create flat casing blocks to fill these indentations?
Could Professor Buthan be right?
Imagine how complex both the design and execution were here.
Let's move on to the internal structure,
considered by many a construction site in itself.
It consists of two main corridors.
The descending corridor crosses the foundation
and then goes down into the limestone plateau,
angled at 18.26 degrees.
Please remember this figure.
It leads to an unfinished subterranean chamber.
The ascending corridor leads to the middle chamber
Then to the upper chamber, passing the Grand Gallery-
It also has a slope of 18.26 degrees-
This internal structure defies all logic.
We go from a 1-meter by 1-meter corridor
to a chamber 8.5 meters high and over 50 meters long,
whose purpose, if any, remains completely unknown-
The middle chamber is built entirely of limestone-
It has a chevron ceiling and a strange, off-center niche-
And finally, the upper chamber-
This chamber is made exclusively of granite slabs-
It's the only place in the pyramid where they are found,
granite from Aswan, 900 km from Giza-
These slabs weigh between 12 and 70 tons.
They were quarried here,
perhaps transported via the Nile,
lifted 40 meters onto the Giza plateau,
then another 50 meters into the pyramid,
to be precisely prepared to ensure
the horizontality and verticality of the chamber.
Just this, in itself, defies all reason.
They needed to manage this construction site at the same time as the site
where the limestone blocks were quarried. Why?
The sarcophagus, for example, is too big to pass through the opening.
So it had to be placed inside
before the side walls were erected.
One could talk for a long time about how to maneuver
and precisely adjust these heavy blocks.
But let's talk about Egyptology and what it should teach us.
Someone would have had to employ about 15,000 men
over 20 years to build the Great Pyramid.
We know nothing about the tools
and can at best speculate about the methods.
We know nothing more about the complex management
of building such a site.
Getting them to eat, sleep, and be healed if necessary,
given that these workers lacked gloves or any kind of foot safety-
This great undertaking was reportedly done
to deliver the monument to King Khufu upon his death,
meaning it was used during a ceremony
to allow the king's soul to ascend to heaven.
Once the rituals were finished,
the pyramid would be sealed
and the mummy moved elsewhere.
There's no inscription anywhere, no giant statue, no signature.
The only thing left of this megalomaniac king
is a 7cm statue.
And Herodotus' account, sometimes crazy,
over 2,000 years later,
which forms, in large part, the basis of all Egyptology theses.
Whatever happened, 20 or even 30 years to build the Great Pyramid
seems absolutely impossible
regarding the following example.
Here's the entrance to the Temple of Karnak,
about 110 meters long,
an average of 40 meters high and 15 meters wide.
Its construction would take 17 years.
From 7 years for the basement and 10 years for the rest of the building.
And it could have been built much later than the Great Pyramid.
But let's go back to Puma Punku,
because I haven't told you everything about this site.
It was during an interview one of our team members
had the intuition to measure the H-shaped blocks,
which we did immediately.
This gap was set at exactly 22 cm
on another block, 9.21 cm.
Or a difference of 1 mm.
Measured 9.21 cm on a third.
Again, a difference of 1 mm.
In the middle of the site are two H-shaped blocks
in excellent condition.
On the back of the blocks,
you can see a cross pattern
So we decided to go and measure.
The H-blocks are 1 meter high.
The width of the crosses is 30 cm.
This gap here, 22 cm.
We're in the metric system.
I told you Eric was a brave man.
The meter at a pre-Inca site
is not very easy to integrate into
an accepted chronology.
But why is it so disturbing?
Because first of all,
the meter is based on the Earth's measurements.
So we cannot date it if
no one has measured the Earth.
And secondly, because the Earth was measured
and the meter was set in 1795.
So unless one believes strongly in coincidence,
logically, we should not find this unit before this date.
What's even more disturbing is finding it on blocks
with such special shapes,
which if they were in wood
would look unremarkable in an IKEA store.
This must be appreciated
because it's reproduced similarly
at an altitude of 4,000 meters
in the middle of nowhere,
measured in meters.
We measured three H-blocks
because the others were either too deteriorated
or inaccessible.
They were more easily available
in 1892
when they were also measured
using the metric system.
So here's the problem.
Because the meter is linked to the Earth's measurement,
if the pre-Incas built this site,
then there aren't many possibilities.
Either by chance
or the pre-Incas measured the Earth,
or this knowledge was given to them.
Whether intentional or not, this meter was found elsewhere.
Let's go back to Egypt.
This inscription was carved
at the entrance to Plato's Academy
but it could also have been carved
at the entrance to the Great Pyramid.
The Egyptians took measurements in cubits,
and the original dimensions of the Great Pyramid,
including the casing, the dimensions everyone agrees on,
are 440 cubits at the base,
and 280 cubits in height.
In 1859, the Englishman John Taylor
noticed that this dimension here, divided by that, would give Pi.
Egyptologists testify that the Egyptians
had only a very basic knowledge of mathematics
and that they knew nothing about Pi
nor about the golden ratio.
However, the upper chamber is built on a double square,
which leads us to the geometry of the golden ratio.
I know numbers and mathematics don't impress many people,
but if I, who slept during math class, could understand,
it can't be as difficult as it seems.
To begin with, let's quickly introduce the golden ratio
to those of you who don't know it.
You'll actually find many videos online
that will explain it in detail.
It's the Italian Leonardo Pisano who published
in the 13th century, the Fibonacci sequence,
where each number divided by the previous one
yields a number gradually approaching 1.618.
It's a number, or more precisely a ratio between two numbers,
that is infinite, just like Pi.
But with amazing mathematical properties.
No need to remember all that.
All you need to know is the logic.
Because it's a ratio system,
we'll use its various forms, even the square root
which equals 1.272.
If it's called the 'divine proportion',
it's precisely because we can observe it
statistically or on average, almost everywhere around us.
In minerals, through their angles,
in plants, through the geometry of their leaves,
the distribution of seeds
among animals and humans, as Da Vinci showed us,
or again in the arts, where it represents harmony.
Building using the geometry of the golden ratio
means trying to imitate nature,
or reproduce what we might perceive.
Don't take these numbers into account
because they'll cross our path again.
To take measurements, one needs a reference:
the meter, or the yard, for example.
In Egypt, they used the cubit,
which actually varies, according to some.
But in the Great Pyramid, its value can be obtained with great certainty
since the upper chamber is made of precisely assembled granite.
The value obtained from the measurements of this chamber
ranges between 0.5235 and 0.5236,
or 52 cm and 3 or 5 to 6 tenths of a millimeter.
It's the royal cubit used in the Great Pyramid.
But then, even though these 'builders knew nothing about the meter',
their cubits are miraculously linked to it.
As the Frenchman Funk Ellet explained in 1956,
it can be easily obtained through geometry.
This dimension is 1. There's no unit, just 1.
The circumference of the circle is this 'dimension multiplied by Pi'.
So we have Pi.
We divide the circle into 6 parts.
Each part equals 0.5236.
And what remains for us equals 2618,
which is the square of the golden ratio.
These three numbers are linked to this circle,
whose diameter is 1.
I went and spoke to a man in the field
who had been working with old measurements for decades.
If I wanted to measure this circle, I would need a unit of measure.
Let's take the yard.
So this dimension equals 1 yard
and this here is 0.5236 yards.
It doesn't correspond to anything in particular.
On the other hand, if we choose the meter
then this dimension equals 0.5236 meters,
which is the value of the Royal Cubit of the Great Pyramid.
This could just be a huge coincidence, given that the meter was adopted in 1795
after measuring the Earth.
Absolute luck added to absolute luck
with simple shapes, our builders
also got the geometry of the golden ratio
without even seeing it.
Let's now take the measurements of the Great Pyramid in meters.
Thanks to its proportions, if we divide this by that
whatever unit of measure we chose to use,
the result will be pi.
But if we choose the meter,
this dimension divided by that equals pi.
But this dimension minus that equals pi x 100,
which only works with the meter.
Same dimensions, division and subtraction.
Regarding the upper chamber,
of all the possible choices for shapes,
they coincidentally chose a double square
opening the door to geometry
they weren't supposed to know about.
The geometry of the golden ratio.
Then, to build this chamber
out of all the possible choices in dimensions,
the builders chose 10 by 20 cubits.
This dimension here is pi times 10 meters,
and that's only possible with meters.
This dimension here plus 2618 meters equals this dimension.
This dimension plus 2618 meters equals this dimension.
Plus 2618, this is the dimension.
This can only happen because the room is 10 by 20 cubits.
If it were 9 by 18, or 11 by 22,
we would get the golden ratio or 'phi' proportionally,
but not in meters.
None of this makes sense, because, as I told you,
the meter was set in 1795.
Something's not right.
Need a break?
In a book about the golden ratio, we learn that in the Middle Ages
church and cathedral builders also used the cubit
which belongs to a system of measurement called the kion.
Meaning it's proportional to the golden ratio.
See how brilliantly everything is arranged around the pentagon.
Dear French colleagues.
Of all these different medieval cubits,
one is very special.
The royal cubit, and it has the same value as the cubit
of the Great Pyramid.
But where did the medieval cubit come from?
Meaning this cubit was imposed by kings,
more than 3,500 years
after the Great Pyramid was built,
coincidentally,
working in the same unit of measurement.
An amazing choice we can't explain.
Exactly 20 centimeters,
which is surprising, since the fathom was established widely
before the meter.
By the way, how was the meter created?
It was in 1795,
in relation to the circumference of our planet's meridian,
meaning relative to the circle
that goes around the Earth, through the poles.
This circle was divided
into 40 million parts,
or 40 million meters
which then gave us the meter as we know it today.
If, instead of 40 million,
the circle had been divided
into 50 million parts,
the meter would have been about 20 cm shorter.
Then I wondered,
"But why was it divided
into 40 million parts?"
Why not 36 million, which would have made sense
since we divide the circle into 360 degrees?
I found no answer.
What surprised me is that this choice of 40 million
has astonishing consequences.
But before we discuss that,
let's talk to the Frenchman Quentin Leplat
who wanted to statistically verify the existence of the meter
by measuring all the church doors in a given area.
Obviously, some would say that these medieval builders
"didn't think in "meters"
but in "spans"
and that we should read not one meter but 5 spans.
Perhaps, but when we rearrange all these facts,
we realize what history usually asks us to adhere to.
The fact that the builders of the Great Pyramid
may have, by chance and without knowing it,
discovered the value of the royal cubit,
linked to pi,
the golden ratio, and then, the meter.
This, in the Middle Ages, on the initiative of kings,
medieval builders, by sheer luck, perhaps implemented
the same royal cubit as the builders of the Great Pyramid.
This, centuries later, by chance,
someone decided to divide the Earth's circumference
into 40 million parts,
which would have given, still by chance,
a meter equal to 5 spans,
and a royal cubit equal to pi divided by 6.
And when we chose the meter,
No one realized that 5 spans
were exactly 1 meter.
Coincidence.
I don't know about you, but for me, it's not just coincidence.
Unless one is an unconditional believer in coincidence...
Doesn't it make sense to imagine
that the person who proposed dividing
the Earth's circumference into 40 million parts
actually knew what he was doing?
And that, though it may seem surprising,
was a separate, long, multi-millennial transmission chain?
Because, what we also see
is that the choice to divide the Earth's circumference
into 40 million parts
means that our planet's diameter
is approximately the square root of the golden ratio.
In any case, based on the facts,
the royal cubit, pi, the golden ratio, and the meter
are all connected.
Everyone is free to verify it, or believe what they want.
Because what we believe affects what we see.
This is the case when faced with certain surprising things from the past.
At this site, about 4,500 years ago,
one might find these marble basins.
And this second model is slightly different.
We are told that these tanks were used during sacrifices
to collect the blood of the victims.
They look more like filling holes than draining holes,
given their origin, but why?
These strange objects lead us to believe
that they might have had a more artistic function
and not a religious or ritualistic one.
This green schist disc
is about 60 cm in diameter.
It was discovered in 1937 in the tomb of a prince
who lived about 5,000 years ago.
We know this was precious to him
since he decided to be buried with it.
Yet, 80 years after its discovery,
we still don't know what its use might have been.
So it was put away in the general box
of "religious or decorative items,"
along with all the other items we don't understand.
However, given the precision of its shape,
we feel there's more to it.
Its central axis also seems intended for rotation.
But there's no evidence it had an artistic function.
On the other hand, there is no doubt whatsoever
about the nature of the object that follows.
It represents, at least after 2,000 years,
the mechanical expression of human genius.
In the 1950s, a new doctor discovered
at the Athens Museum, this misunderstood piece
coming from a shipwreck that sank about 20 centuries ago.
Convinced of its importance,
he spent the rest of his life studying it,
but died 20 years before technology confirmed his intuition
when the object was scanned slice by slice
in its depth.
This represents the sky at a given time
or to determine a date from a particular pattern in the sky.
It represents all the movements of the visible planets,
of the sun and moon and with one movement,
a crank turn,
one will rotate the sky to where one wants to be.
It's a perpetual mechanism.
It holds at least 300 gears and toothed parts.
To design it,
the inventors necessarily needed to know that the Earth is a sphere
and that the stars revolve around the Sun.
They knew precisely the cycles of each of the planets,
including the issue of compensation
between lunar and solar calendars
as defined by the Greek Meton.
A calculation that could be refined
a century later, by Callippus of Cyzicus.
At the initiative of Mathias Petsche,
the Huibelt Society decided to reproduce this device.
But the first time Mathias heard of it,
he thought it was a joke.
As for the level of mathematics required,
it's astonishing.
The Antikythera mechanism also includes
complex differential movements.
The Moon's orbit around the Earth is not circular,
but elliptical, which gives it, from Earth,
a variable speed.
This is complex to reproduce,
since gears generate constant circular motions.
To this knowledge,
you have to add the ingenuity in manufacturing the gears.
What they might not dare to say on camera,
for fear of angering some archaeologists,
is the level of mathematics required to design such a mechanism
is far beyond what is usually attributed to the ancient Greeks.
Otherwise, they would have needed thousands of prototypes
to arrive at this precise result.
Yes, because in practice,
it's a much more complex method than it appears.
Let's take the main wheel with 223 teeth.
How do you easily divide a circle into 223 equal parts?
Now, knowing this device,
some Greek sacred texts look different.
If one needed proof
that tools or machines have not stood the test of time,
this mechanism gives us something to think about.
That was only 2,000 years ago.
Egypt 5,000 years ago.
And the device still works, if it hadn't been submerged.
How can a major turning point in human engineering history
be lost to our history?
That the device was lost is one thing.
But that the idea of its existence was lost
is more astonishing than this discovery,
which archaeology has almost entirely overlooked.
Just before leaving Athens, go to the Acropolis.
I wasn't even surprised to see these walls.
Coincidence is indeed a lasting thing.
If the Antikythera mechanism forces us
to reconsider the evolution of human science and technology,
a single archaeological site
completely disrupts the timeline of settlements.
Its discovery is a live bomb.
You'll see the problem.
The site of Gbekli Tepe was discovered in the 1990s
by shepherds in Turkey.
In the heart of the enclosures, there are central pillars.
And here the problem begins.
According to history, this is before civilization.
Something is not right. But it goes further.
I've been trying for months to interview
one of the world's foremost researchers on this matter,
author of Fingerprints of the Gods,
carefully documented and sourced,
which has opened the way for many people.
Graham Hancock came at the right time.
He would give me the keys I had lost.
Here we have a giant stone site
much larger than Stonehenge, for example,
which is 11,500 years old,
which suddenly appears in a society that, apparently,
are hunter-gatherers.
Where did they learn the skills to do this?
We don't see them practicing.
The oldest material at Gbekli Tepe is the best.
Did they wake up one morning
with some kind of magical inspiration
that enabled them to cut stones
to create the world's first
perfectly aligned north-south building,
which requires astronomy?
As we wonder about the true purpose of the site,
one of its pillars raises the subject of agriculture.
In the normal timeline,
nomads settle in one place
by becoming farmers and herders,
then specialize, and then become
capable of building temples. In the meantime, all this happened in reverse.
Agriculture suddenly appears,
at the same moment that Gbekli Tepe appears.
In fact, when I spoke to the late Klaus Schmidt,
he found that Gbekli Tepe
served as a center of innovation in this field.
It was a place where people were drawn to and learned skills
and that raises a question in my mind:
Who taught them the skills?
Because what I think we're looking at, at Gbekli Tepe,
is the sudden appearance of megalithic architecture,
the sudden appearance of sophisticated agricultural knowledge,
seems to me to be technology transfer.
It seems to me that people came to that region
who already knew how to do megalithic architecture,
who knew agriculture already,
and who knew how to mobilize and organize labor.
And they put that infrastructure in place there
and transferred their skills in stone building
and in agriculture
to the local hunter-gatherers who settled between.
So who were these people?
One can see on the pillars
patterns similar to other patterns around the planet.
I don't know how much we should make of these connections.
But it's interesting to note, for example,
that the megaliths of Gbekli Tepe are tall pillars
sometimes weighing up to 20 tons,
with a sort of T-shape.
The T-shape on top of the pillar
represents a human head.
We can say that for sure
because many pillars have arms carved into the side,
and the hands meet in front of the belly.
The positioning of the hands of the Gbekli Tepe figures
is an exact match for the positioning of the hands
on the statues of Easter Island.
On this belt is carved a letter,
a sign that we recognize as the letter H.
And strangely,
the exact same H-shape, you know,
appears in the H-blocks at Tiwanaku.
There are certain creatures and animals
that are cut on the megaliths of Gbekli Tepe
that are produced exactly in structures in Peru.
I went into this in depth in my book
"Gods of the Gods."
Baskets can be seen on one of the pillars.
And this is also what caught Graham Hancock's attention,
given that there are similar types of baskets
in representations of the Mesopotamian god Enki,
who was said to have brought civilization
to this part of the world.
An idea we also find in Central America
in the hand of a god, who would later be called Quetzalcoatl.
Also a bringer of civilization.
What we see a lot in these similarities
is what we would expect to see
if one culture on one side of the world
and another culture on the other side of the world
both received a legacy from the same third culture.
Otherwise, how can one explain these parallels?
And what about the sudden appearance
of this temple and agriculture 12,000 years ago?
It's interesting to note
that Gbekli Tepe means, curiously, 'Navel Hill' -
another one.
As Klaus Schmidt discovered,
this navel was deliberately buried,
allowing it to be accurately dated
to 11,600 years ago,
with a margin of error of about 150 years.
But why go to the extra effort to build this site
only to bury it later?
Could it be for preservation?
We can think of it as a message left for future generations.
We've noted these 11,600 years
coincide with the brutal end of the time
of extreme terrestrial changes called the Younger Dryas.
While the Earth was warming
and gradually coming out of the last Ice Age,
the temperature brutally dropped by 7 degrees.
This Younger Dryas period
has long puzzled geologists.
We know it happened,
but they didn't know why.
About 1,300 years later,
the temperature brutally rose again by 10 degrees.
There was a second episode of catastrophe,
a second episode of global flooding.
Geologists call it Meltwater Pulse 1B.
According to several scientific studies,
these two events may have been caused by comet impacts
that struck the Earth twice, 1,300 years apart,
creating catastrophes that our ancestors may have witnessed.
Every account I've learned of
comes from a previous human civilization
that caused a catastrophe.
No exceptions.
If our planet was hit
by major debris, one can understand why people might have been under the impression
they were enduring some divine retribution.
The 'impact hypothesis' is being considered
as a serious possibility by science,
which just published a full article on it in Nature magazine.
In the geological layer corresponding
to the start of the Younger Dryas period,
we found huge amounts of platinum
associated with nanodiamonds and carbon spherules.
The metals melted at 2000 degrees,
and huge amounts of ash from fires.
This may confirm the 'impact hypothesis',
when nothing else can explain the Younger Dryas.
We can date it
to between 12,800 and 11,600 years ago.
Again, as Graham Hancock mentioned,
we have records.
Solon told Plato that Atlantis sank
9,000 years before his visit to Egypt,
in 600 BC,
or 11,600 years ago,
which coincides with the end of the Younger Dryas.
We shouldn't take all myths literally,
but we shouldn't dismiss them all either.
Let's talk about the mythical city of Kumari Kandam
of the Tamil people of Southern India.
This highly advanced civilization
may have occupied a vast area of land
with huge libraries and universities.
However, 11,600 years ago,
the date of the end of the Younger Dryas,
Kumari Kandam disappeared completely in a catastrophe.
Sea levels rose 120 meters.
Over 27 million square kilometers of land
which is almost Europe and China combined
was above water
during the last Ice Age, and is now underwater.
I would suggest that the civilization
we are dealing with was a maritime, seafaring civilization,
that occupied the best lands available
in the Ice Age world.
And the best of those lands, as today,
were the coastal lands, the lands near the sea.
Those were the lands
that were submerged by the sea level rise at the end of the Ice Age.
Local fishermen have long complained
of underwater debris that their nets got caught in,
but nobody believed them.
They told Graham Hancock,
who decided to go diving with them.
We went out and dived in Mahabalipuram
with local fishermen in 2002,
and everything they said was true.
There is a city underwater there.
And what's more, it extends more than five kilometers from the shore,
down to depths of over 30 meters.
But during the 2004 tsunami, when the ocean retreated,
the bay was exposed for about 30 minutes.
And many people saw the ruins.
Since then, the site has been studied,
but not satisfactorily investigated.
They are still working in the intertidal zone,
down to a depth of 5 meters.
You need to be 5 kilometers offshore and 30 meters down
to see what is lying there.
Because it has the potential to rewrite history,
because we know from sea level studies that that area
It's been underwater for about 11,500 years.
Just like the story of Kumari Kandam.
Over time,
tales are often embellished, distorted, or lost.
Is this why the Egyptian priests
carved the history of Egypt onto temple walls?
- As my friend John Anthony West said,
the ancient Egyptians tell us very clearly
that their civilization was not an evolution-
It was a legacy-
It was a legacy from the first
and the first time that the survivors brought
a lost civilization to Egypt, about 12,800 years ago-
And this story, in fact,
is told in full detail in the Edfu temple inscription.
The priests at that time, around 330 BC,
had inherited archives
from earlier temples.
Among these archives,
written on animal skins, falling to pieces,
was the story of the time when the gods came to Egypt
after the destruction of their former homeland,
which was an island.
They came to Egypt and brought the gifts of civilization,
and the priests decided to copy
those decaying, damaged, ancient texts
and make them permanent on the walls of the Edfu temple.
- This is the story that was told to Solon,
who came to Egypt to learn,
like almost all the brilliant Greek sages
who then passed it on to Plato.
For some, it's just a tale, but it would be arrogant
to forget how famous Solon was,
a member of the Seven Sages.
Like Plato,
he's accused nowadays of being senile or a deceiver,
What he says doesn't match what we believe
or what we'd like to hear.
However, it's what's written on the walls of this temple.
Kumari Kandam, or the Antikythera mechanism.
reminded us to remain cautious.
One or two generations
are enough to erase the memory of an entire population.
How many other things or texts
could have been lost in the same way?
We knew that, 13,000 years ago
our planet underwent a major climatic shift.
The ice caps in the northern regions melted.
Mass extinctions occurred.
The ocean level rose by more than 100 meters.
The cold returned and lasted for 1,300 years.
Yet, we cannot explain the savage reason for all this.
We also know that our ancestors lived through this event,
that it led to the migrations of entire populations
but we thought they were still just hunter-gatherers.
Gbekli Tepe reveals that this was not the case.
From there, it's only a small step
to portraying the level of civilization's development
as greater than we thought.
We shouldn't expect the remains of that civilization
to be like ours.
They would be very different and perhaps unrecognizable.
As we have built over the entire planet,
mining and digging underground in many places,
our civilization has left remains everywhere.
But what if this civilization evolved differently?
Although some believe that all the common features between
these particular sites have a divine origin,
I personally cannot imagine they were built by a god.
Unless that god was small enough
to walk through the Great Pyramid's corridor.
Others, on the contrary, state that all these common features
is linked to the fact that Homo sapiens,
having settled everywhere on this planet,
found the same solutions to the same problems.
And indeed, we can ironically appreciate the fact
that humankind began with precisely modified huge stones
to end up with small blocks and cement.
But there is another connection that challenges this hypothesis,
in both time and history.
In 1965, French ethnologist Francis Mazire
spoke of a connection between Easter Island and Peru and Egypt,
pointing out that all three are located, according to him,
on a sort of "magnetic equator" of the Earth.
In 1997, the American "Jim Allison"
baptized the "Great Circle"
a great circle that was invisible
before the entire Earth was mapped,
which is, as you will see, a big problem.
Let's go from Easter Island,
take a bearing of 30 degrees,
and draw a 100-kilometer-wide band.
The strip passes through Nazca in Peru,
then Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuamn,
Cusco, and Nauba Iglesia.
It crosses the Atlantic Ocean to go over the sacred caves
in Tassili n'Ajjer in Algeria.
Then across the Siwa Oasis,
next to the Giza pyramids in Egypt,
over Petra in Jordan,
Ur in Iraq,
Persepolis in Iran,
Mohenjo-daro in Pakistan,
Khajuraho in India,
Bagan in Burma, Sukhothai in Thailand,
Angkor Wat and Preah Vihear in Cambodia,
very likely connected long ago.
Then it moves on to the unknown Anitium Islands
In New Caledonia-
In this alignment,
we're not looking at
the history of the structures,
where some spread over
centuries,
or millennia.
But we're looking instead at their locations,
most built and rebuilt
over the ruins of ancient temples.
Let's first look at the distance ratio
between some of these sites.
Let's look at the Earth from above.
The red circle surrounding them is our great circle.
The distance between Angkor Wat and Nazca
equals the distance between Mohenjo-daro and Easter Island.
The distance between Angkor
Wat and Mohenjo-daro
equals the distance from Mohenjo-daro to Giza
and also the distance between
Nazca and Easter Island.
I think at this stage of the investigation,
no one will be surprised to see the golden ratio appear again.
The distance from Angkor Wat to Giza
multiplied by the golden ratio
equals the distance between Giza and Nazca.
And the distance between Giza and Nazca
multiplied by the golden ratio
equals the distance between
Nazca and Angkor Wat.
Using the metric system,
in the same way we did with the Great Pyramid,
let's measure the distance between Easter Island and Giza.
10,000 times the golden ratio. Or again,
a quarter of the way around the Earth multiplied by the golden ratio.
This is where Jim Allison stopped.
Like many other Anglo-Saxon researchers,
he measured distances in miles, not meters.
Until 2012,
Google Earth gave 16,179 km between the two sites.
Today it's 16,168 km.
The calculation method has changed.
So, depending on the method used, the result can vary.
But let's be serious.
Even with a difference of about 20 km,
to find an island centered on this oblique equator
is nothing short of a miracle.
Once this distance was checked on the site
using smartphone maps,
and taking the coordinates of the Great Pyramid of Giza via GPS
as a starting point,
we were able to validate a "new" discovery by Jim Allison.
The point that accurately indicates 16,180 km
is located in the center of the triangle
formed by 3 great sites on this island,
the two highest peaks, Terevaka and Poike,
and the center of the crater
Rano Kau.
And this triangle
is even more remarkable.
Both sides are identical
and have an angle of 108 degrees.
This is part of the golden pentagon of the ancients,
linked by the golden ratios.
How is that possible?
It's obvious the volcanoes weren't "built"
and how to explain these 16,180 km between the sites
without relying on sheer luck again?
It's actually very simple.
The builders of Giza had to place this site
relative to Easter Island,
which they must have known,
using the same metric system.
A geologist who sought no recognition
shared his amazing observations with me,
modestly thinking he couldn't draw conclusions alone.
First, he found Easter Island
was located on a terrestrial hotspot,
Points that have the surprising characteristic of remaining fixed
while the Earth's crust moves.
Meaning that millions of years ago,
there was no certainty that Easter Island
was located over this hot spot.
Then he realized that the alignment of the sites
on this great circle lies on what we call
crustal discontinuity zones.
Which means, simply,
the equivalent of the intersection of two rock masses.
If it shakes, that's where it's going to break.
Obviously, there are other zones of discontinuity
on the Earth's crust,
but the important fact is that each site on this great circle
lies exactly over a discontinuity.
This geologist can't explain
why one could build temples in some places
where they were more prone to collapse,
when just a few kilometers away, it was safer.
Worse still, when the discontinuity is in the sea,
then the site is built as close to land as possible,
which is the case for Nazca,
where the oceans and the Andean land formations
didn't leave many choices regarding its location.
Why does he give such importance to these discontinuities?
Placing sites around the world
at specific longitudinal distances from each other,
and all these longitudes are part
of an ancient numerical system
that we find in myths and traditions worldwide.
And this number system is created
by the precession of the Earth's axis.
It's a numerical system based on the number 72,
and there are an amazing number
of monuments around the world
that are precisely separated from each other
in terms of longitude, by this number system.
So these sites are on a great circle,
but not just any circle.
The North Pole of this great circle is in Canada,
in northwestern British Columbia.
And that's where the magnetic pole wobbles.
The pole indicated by the compass
is what enables life on Earth.
It also generates a magnetic field that filters solar radiation,
enabling life and also allowing us to produce electricity.
Is this why Francis Mazier spoke
of the "magnetic equator," referring to ancient esoteric tradition?
Like any group of humans,
the esoteric world is not without ideological bias,
but that's no reason to dismiss information,
especially when it resonates with modern science.
This late discovery
regarding the existence of Earth's magnetic field
was made by the Englishman William Gilbert in the 17th century.
Like another researcher, and this allowed me
to better understand the construction of these ancient sites.
Ian S. Stewart from Plymouth University
wondered why the ancient Greeks decided to build temples
specifically on sites prone to seismic activity.
Journalists jokingly asked
if the Greeks worshipped some kind of earthquake cult,
you know, sects, gods,
all the folklore of our semi-naked ancestors.
For this researcher,
the reasons could be spiritual and perhaps medical,
since he realized these sites had pure water sources.
I don't think any of this has anything to do with some ritualistic ceremony,
at least not in the way we think of them.
Ask a civil engineer.
A polygonal assembly, so it's non-periodic,
stands up better against earthquakes than our modern walls
Made from the same size bricks-
Here again, in earthquake-prone areas,
they built earthquake-resistant structures-
This is what I actually saw on the Acropolis in Athens-
And on Easter Island, at the site of Te Pito Kura,
the navel of the world, this egg-shaped stone which is magnetic-
Many of the stones are magnetized.
You can check it with a compass-
But how did they know about it without a compass?
Is it a coincidence again that this sacred stone
is specifically magnetic
and placed at a fault line in the Earth's crust,
and what's more, at a hot spot?
The same thing in Giza,
where the Great Pyramid is located
over a fascinating point of the Earth's crust,
where they built the King's Chamber with granite slabs
that they had to quarry from about 900 kilometers away-
One can keep thinking
the only reason for this structure's existence
was to glorify God and his earthly representative,
a tyrannical, megalomaniacal pharaoh-
You can think whatever you want-
What can we learn from all this?
That these sites are built
in the most seismically sensitive areas
regarding the geological activity of our planet-
That they belong to the Great Circle,
our magnetic equator,
which may be linked to our planet's magnetic activity-
That specific stones were carefully placed
at specific locations on Earth-
- separated by degrees of longitude
between Giza and Angkor, 72-
- which is another way of talking about the ratio
between these Great Circle sites-
But after discovering the golden ratio and the metric system,
we go to degrees.
Unless this is by chance, again,
that we encounter whole numbers when measuring the degrees
between Giza and Angkor Wat.
Nothing in common at first glance, is there?
But are you sure you've seen everything?
Take this, for example.
A polygonal shape of stones.
The shape of the paving stones.
A specific system for anchoring the stones.
And even the symmetries.
The stones are not particularly large,
and their work is very similar to European cathedrals.
If Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm or Bayon
really date back to the Middle Ages,
they seem to be inspired by the same style
as Peru, Easter Island or Egypt.
The question is more about their location,
where these temples were built on the ruins of an ancient complex.
And spread over nearly 250 square kilometers.
Even the name "Angkor" has a meaning
in ancient Egyptian.
"Angkor means "Life to Horus."
Archaeologists say it's a coincidence, but I wonder
if there's something deeper going on.
A deeper game.
They all share this common DNA,
this common heritage that goes back to the beginning.
Graham Hancock and John Grigsby claimed in 1998
that the entire site
was also laid out according to the stars,
to the constellation of the Dragon.
This is another common point
for all the archaeological sites of our past
to reflect a specific position of the sky at a certain time.
Gobekli Tepe encodes the winter solstice
12,800 years ago.
Giza encodes the equinox
8,000 to 12,000 years ago.
The three pyramids on the ground,
the Sphinx, the constellation Leo,
Orion, the Milky Way - they're all part of the picture.
Matthieu Lafon and Georges Vermard
also became interested in the connection
between the Giza site and the constellation Orion,
like Robert Bauval.
10,500 years before our time,
or 12,500 years ago,
a relatively short time before the start
of the Younger Dryas period.
Graham Hancock mentioned an astronomical cycle for Earth
called the precession of the equinoxes.
The reason for mentioning
the equinoxes and the constellations,
as Matthieu Lafon explained regarding Giza,
these constellations, once projected onto the ground,
will act as time stamps.
But what is the precession of the equinoxes?
In fact, concerning Earth,
the stars are not fixed over time.
The sky seems to move by one degree every 72 years
and will need about 26,000 years for a full circle.
One cycle of the celestial wheel.
It's called the Zodiac.
To find our way in this zodiac,
we connect the stars together, creating shapes,
which then allow us to easily recognize
these periods in the sky.
This is a giant astronomical clock.
This never happens.
According to Plato, a round
Plato managed
to get such a close estimate, 2,500 years ago.
It's a mystery that doesn't seem to interest anyone.
Let's give him credit
and take the figure of 25,920 years,
which represents a "Great Year," divided into 12 months, or ages,
each lasting about 2,160 years.
Speaking of the modern age,
it's probably the Age of Pisces,
which began about 2,000 years ago.
See our famous fishermen in Catholicism.
Each age
is carefully represented in ancient sites.
There's no doubt the ancients cared about these.
During the Age of Taurus, the bull
was the primary symbol in ancient Egypt
and ancient Mesopotamia.
As we move into the Age of Aries,
suddenly rams became the primary symbol.
Just look at this ram-headed sphinx column
at Karnak, for example.
As we move again into the Age of Pisces,
suddenly, it's the fish.
Early Christians used the fish as their symbol.
So ancient cultures were aware
that these broad changes in the heavens
seemed to be accompanied by broad changes on Earth.
According to the myths and ancient beliefs of various peoples,
the Earth fits into cycles.
The most famous are the Mayan calendars
or those of the four ages of the Earth.
According to esoteric doctrine, the science of Hermes,
which, although bearing the name of a Greek god,
actually dates back to ancient Egypt.
So it's a question of cycles or periods of time.
Throughout history,
The end of time is often mentioned-
But more in reference to "the end of time"-
The end of a pre-cataclysmic era-
Is this what the French writer Andr Malraux was referring to when he said?
"The 21st century will be spiritual, or it will not be at all"?
But what is the significance of the precession of the equinoxes?
For us, I don't know, but for them, it was important -
They were convinced that the planets,
The gods often represented these planets,
Had an influence on the destiny of mankind -
The idea of the planet of the gods is found in ancient Greece,
Where the Antikythera mechanism,
Which allows us to determine with amazing precision
The position of our stars,
Could it have a new meaning?
But if Aries and Taurus indeed correctly mark
The corresponding astronomical ages,
What about the statue of the Sphinx of Giza, connected to Leo?
The pre-Leo era began about 13,000 years ago
Just before the start of the Younger Dryas period -
It was at that time
When I was wondering about the meaning of all this
That the results came from Barbar -
We had already decided to go back there for a very short time
Using a 3D scanner and someone to operate it -
A sound level meter for acoustic studies,
A laser level to measure horizontality and verticality
And to check the regularity of the curves -
The images you are about to see are the result of 3D scans
Done by a dual-beam laser rotating around the surfaces -
They are the equivalent of an MRI -
The laser effects define millions of points
Allowing later reconstruction of volumes with millimeter precision
And to obtain 3D images
Which I will show you in their raw form, untouched -
Let's start with the unfinished caves -
Then to the completed caves.
We can see the logical evolution of the shapes.
The first is a barrel-vaulted cave
with a domed ceiling,
an entrance on its width.
The second is barrel-vaulted with a domed ceiling,
an entrance on its length.
The third is fully domed, with an entrance on its width
and the back wall is curved.
The fourth is barrel-vaulted with a domed ceiling,
an entrance on its length,
curved at each of its ends.
The fifth is the most complex,
barrel-vaulted with a domed ceiling,
a hemisphere on top of a cylinder, cut at one end.
This is what was achieved in granite about 2300 years ago,
in India.
These caves are the oldest of their kind in India
and for some unknown reason
all those built in the centuries that followed were not managed
with the same level of precision and finish once created.
Using materials harder than reinforced steel,
complex shapes were built with a precision
ranging from 2 to 8 millimeters
over a length often exceeding 13 meters.
This is more than just work "good enough for the eye".
These caves are the most vertically symmetrical,
a real achievement, given the means available at the time.
Let's set aside the question of the tools
that enabled the construction of the caves
under these conditions and discuss the geometry of the shapes.
Phayia,
Karan Chopar,
Gopika,
and the Sudama chamber has trapezoidal sections.
In fact, the vertical walls are slightly inclined
at a constant angle of less than three degrees.
In these rooms with trapezoidal sections,
we place parts of cylinders in the shape of arches
whose central axis height varies from one cave to another.
In the Vapiaka,
the axis is about 13 cm above the ground.
In the Karan Chopar,
the axis is at a height of about 1.20 meters above the floor.
In the room in Sudama,
the axis is at a height of about 1.10 meters above the floor.
But it's more complex in Gopika,
where the axis is about 47 cm below ground.
Building an arch whose axis is 47 cm below ground
greatly complicates measurements during construction.
a condition for checking the proper curvature.
Nothing states that the arches must be made of parts of cylinders
unless explicitly required.
And everything is done with a glass-like finish.
Let's simplify things.
We don't aim for such precision for no reason.
In the case of the caves,
it must have been a necessary part of the architectural specifications.
Construction plans with these precise dimensions had a specific reason,
all of which informs us about the knowledge and skills
required to implement them,
requiring at least one engineer
and several highly skilled workers during construction.
Something that seems very advanced
regarding the knowledge
and technical means available during Ashoka's period,
refers to the quality in achieving the veranda
and the carvings on some of the caves.
Okay, but why build such distinctive rooms?
The amazing thing about the caves is the sound,
and the way it propagates due to the slight inclination of the walls,
which suppresses echo
for acoustic resonance.
If it wasn't an exceptional coincidence,
which is likely when faced with the evidence,
then where could the initial experiments
leading to this level of expertise be found?
Again, as with the Antikythera mechanism,
it was necessary to experiment, to conceptualize prototypes.
Caves of such precision could not be conceived without prior testing.
However, no prototype has been found anywhere
other than these two unfinished caves.
And the work in later centuries in India
would never equal, or even approach, the level of these masterpieces.
These spaces behave like resonance chambers.
Tests were conducted in Sudama Cave
showed that when one is placed in the center of the dome,
certain frequencies make precise parts of the body vibrate.
But let's be more realistic - analyzing the data using a sonometer
yielded amazing results for three of the caves.
The measurements taken in the latter two
are not sufficient at present and will need further completion.
Let's start with Karan Chopar.
This cave resonates at a frequency of 200 Hz
and also at multiples of this frequency:
400 Hz, 800 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 1200 Hz.
Gopika resonates at 200 Hz,
400 Hz, 800 Hz, and 1200 Hz.
And Vadathika resonates at 200 Hz and 1000 Hz.
Are you aware of the implications?
Those who conceived and built these three caves
with their specific shapes and dimensions
knew they would resonate at these frequencies.
Can we attribute this to mere chance?
Precise frequency calculations, from 2300 years ago.
Since these three shapes resonate at precise frequencies,
how did they know them before making them?
How did they calculate their dimensions?
Regarding the Sudama,
the circular diameter on the room floor
measures 6 meters to the millimeter.
On this complex shape
of a truncated cone, they placed a hemisphere
with a diameter of about 3 meters.
With a 5 cm difference this time,
its center is one meter above the ground,
give or take 1 cm.
No, I won't sell you the meter
on other units of measurement.
But recurring luck or
a hint from the builders,
the diameter of this circle
is about 6 meters
or Pi in royal cubits in diameter.
Divided by 6,
the arc equals Pi in meters.
What if I told you these granite caves also
are a "ver" discontinuity in the Earth's crust?
It's up to each of you
to deduce what you want
regarding these masterpieces.
That with chisels and good faith
the builders might have achieved
this useless miracle.
Or perhaps we are facing
an illustration of a science completely unknown to us.
Ritualistic or religious reason?
Or the remains of a misunderstood and forgotten science?
I think we've been very wrong
about the true function
of these sacred temples
from our past.
If one expends so much energy
maneuvering such massive stones,
We still have much to learn from
Barabara and Giza-
I'm sure-
Before placing the final,
necessary piece of this puzzle
I will rephrase what
we have found as follows-
Mysterious ancient sites
Built using similar techniques
Everywhere on the planet,
which means knowledge transfer-
No records or explanations
About the means and techniques used-
Special care in selecting rocks-
Incomplete elements-
Sophisticated design coupled with precise construction
Contrary to the simple knowledge and means
Presumed to have been used at the time-
Astronomical orientation of major sites
Referencing the start of the equinoxes-
An archaeological site that eliminates certainty
From the beginnings of human settlement
To the start of the last ice age
Harsh climate changes on
our planet, around 13,000 years ago-
An archaeological site involving
the use of sonic frequencies
For reasons still unknown-
Presence of golden ratio geometry
Contradicting the knowledge commonly attributed
to that time
A link between the Great Pyramid's cubit,
The royal cubit and the meter-
Indicating knowledge of the Earth's dimensions
Before it was measured in 1795
And its transmission through the ages-
And the positioning of ancient sites within a planetary geometric framework
Linked to the golden ratio, the foot
And the metric system-
The location of sites at the intersection of points
Of Earth's crustal discontinuity
And the magnetic equator-
Sacred texts, myths, or scriptures mentioning one
Or advanced civilizations vanish
Confirmed in various places
by the discovery of remains-
Faced with all these
facts and connections,
I propose that rather than chance, I choose
what seems to be the most rational
explanation-
The existence of a very advanced civilization in the past
that would disappear after a catastrophe-
I wondered how they could
transmit their knowledge
through a unique way
of seeing the world-
Not knowing if it could be
understood by other civilizations after them-
And it occurred to me, in all its splendor-
"So, "genius builders
or "the fruit of our imagination"?
In the Book of Revelation, according to
Saint John,
the prophetic text that concludes the New Testament for Christians,
mentions the end of a certain era-
One might read this somewhat ambiguous sentence-
On a Marseille Tarot card, Plate 21, called "The World",
one might find these three animals
as well as the man represented by an angel-
We are told about the zodiac signs-
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, which was the Eagle,
and Aquarius, the Angel formerly-
Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares, and Fomalhaut-
The fixed cross of the wise-
Imprinted in a double square on the Tarot card-
Opening a double square to the geometry
of the golden ratio-
Contrary to popular belief,
Apocalypse in Greek "apokalypsis"
does not mean "end of the world",
but "disclosure of knowledge"-
"A religious book, a Tarot card, structures"
Multiple means of communication
transmit the same invisible knowledge
to those who do not
know how to read it,
but it will continue to
play and tell stories
because that is the human way-
In the animal kingdom we belong to,
play has always been the best teaching tool.
Like the stories we were told,
they sometimes teach us, even without seeming to.
This kind of transmission
would have a better chance of hiding from the various powers
that inevitably arose on our planet,
with the annoying habit of trying to rewrite the past,
to better justify their authoritarian position.
But they would always let people play and tell tales.
Even the Almighty Church
with the tetramorph that is supposed to represent the four evangelists,
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Wouldn't see anything.
Otherwise, why would the lion and the bull reflect?
Perhaps it was placed before our eyes
everywhere, all the time, and since the beginning.
Methods of transmission over millennia
of information impossible to understand
before reaching a certain level of evolution.
What extraordinary wise work these builders did.
And what an extraordinary lesson of humility
and self-sacrifice from these humble people
who discreetly transmitted this precious information
over time
for the time when we would be able to understand it again.
Given what we can see regarding these complex structures,
it seems we are still very far
from reaching their level of knowledge
and simplicity of expression,
which I find truly ingenious.
Making it impossible to understand for the eyes of those
who see without looking and have no other choice but to laugh,
with the Parabar caves,
the sound and science of frequencies
enter into play through the single front door,
Open, but incomprehensible.
The King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid of Giza,
also made of granite,
seems to be a concentration of all our ancestors' knowledge.
This magnificent high chamber
is protected by an ineffective security system.
Given their high technical mastery,
we can only consider it symbolic.
A system that would lead one to expect a precious treasure,
but there's nothing more than a solid granite trunk
too large to pass through the door and corridors.
Why?
A ritual or religious explanation
prevents further thought.
But after all we've seen,
its importance is self-evident.
This chamber contains the ultimate treasure.
The treasure of knowledge.
It's a sublime mathematical symphony.
The true music of the spheres,
written in the universal language of numbers,
creating the invisible framework of our world.
From the few experiments I was able to conduct in this hall,
sound seems to play an important role.
Spectral acoustic analysis
of the audio recording data in this chamber
reveals a set of frequencies reasonably equivalent
to those in the first three of the Barabar Caves.
It's possible that it's composed, as in Barabar,
of ancient musical skill, based on 432 Hz.
But everything requires further analysis
with more advanced materials.
But what if I suspect it proves
astonishing viewpoints?
This virtuosity in technical prowess
was achieved all over our planet,
at specific sites that can only be identified with certainty
with the help of sophisticated scientific knowledge,
all these clues were left everywhere around us
representing, in my eyes,
the undeniable trace of these builders-
These builders you remember
seem lost to memory,
but their footprints, left in stone, are eloquent-
These traces, we also find them in the holy books-
To the readers of the Quran,
I wish to dedicate this sentence-
And to those who read the Bible, this-
The site of Gbekli Tepe doesn't just whisper-
It screams- and it's not the only one.
If we exclude the disruptive elements from the equations,
then one won't find what they're looking for-
It's the same with an archaeologist
who doesn't believe in the existence
of advanced mechanical tools in the past
sees no point in measuring a surface
with a roughness meter or a 3D scan-
If they are already convinced
that it's a byproduct of basic tools
then why bother checking?
This goes against the true scientific approach
which, since Descartes,
requires a clean slate
of assumptions and prejudices-
At the end of the 18th century,
a brilliant scientist like Lavoisier
smiled at the fact
that stones could fall from the sky-
a few decades before the existence of meteorites was proven-
So be careful-
because tomorrow's science will likely
shatter today's convictions-
The hypothesis of a lost civilization is destructive.
Most of the time, he who defends this theory is mocked
and, as dangerous as it may be, it's ignored,
which prevents us from discussing their arguments.
However learned one may be,
no one is exempt from their passions and emotions.
Otherwise, how can we explain that such a hypothesis
can disturb us so much?
For this reason, I wanted to honor all those researchers
who fight silently, far from all the media frenzy
and the mockery of their peers,
because in the end, only facts count.
In short, what I'm trying to say
is that we'll probably need to change our way of thinking
if we want to understand the science
of these ancient world builders.
I know it's not easy to reconsider
the foundational principles of our society,
upon which we've built our current worldview.
Nevertheless, all these kings, emperors, and dictators,
political leaders, and religious figures
throughout our history, every time they arranged the stories,
erased the records of the losers,
and erased the past or rewrote it, certainly,
to legitimize their power.
But the structures from the past speak to us
if we deign to listen to them.
The city of Caral shows it's possible
to live a long time in the right period without any conflict.
Ancient Egypt too, where no expansionist wars began.
The Inca Empire again, which showed us that
if all people are not integrated properly
regarding their identity,
and not by force, sooner or later conflict will result.
Our Earth too, perhaps it speaks to us.
Our magnetic pole has accelerated its pace in the last 30 years
And one would have to be blind
not to see that our climate is disrupted.
The Earth often rages, and loudly.
We still have so much to discover.
It's up to you now to go and see these places.
Wake up.
