Bears: The Hunt (2025) Movie Script
Beautiful place
- [Humomma] The moment they
arrive, the world tilts,
and suddenly nothing
is about you anymore.
Every breath, every heartbeat,
it all becomes theirs.
We grow faster than we
ever thought we could.
Not just in strength, but in softness
and instinct, in love.
We love them, we teach them.
We worry, we roar.
We roar, we play, we cry.
We hold on, and we let go.
And through it all we try.
Always, always we try.
(gentle music)
- Looking for a fresh start,
a clean forest breeze,
friendly neighbors with strong claws
and even stronger values.
Welcome to Beartopia,
where community, safety
and progress are more than words.
There are claws to success.
Here in Beartopia your cubs can
thrive in inclusive schools,
eco-friendly dens and
fully furnished homes
designed with sustainability in mind.
We believe in giving back.
Our wildlife management initiatives
ensures peaceful coexistence
by managing threats
before they manage us.
(gentle music)
- This is what love is.
(gentle music continues)
We built our homes, we raised our young,
we planted the seeds in our
gardens as we watched them grow.
We sang lullabies to our babies.
Scout over.
As we watch them grow.
And we always trusted in tomorrow.
- You are my everything.
I love you high and low.
I love you more than the flowers
love to blossom, bloom and grow.
I love you more than the trees
love to change with every season.
- Do you hear that?
- Yeah.
- What is that? It's a weird sound.
- Go pack your bag, go.
(ominous music)
Get Mr. Bear, come on.
Come on.
Get the things.
Get some clothes.
Aris, come here.
Baby, we gotta get our shoes.
This is what it is
Glass up in the air
Cheers
So Ima live it how I wanna live
This is what it is
Glass up in the air
Cheers
- Woo-hoo, Janet.
Oh, third morning this week, huh?
- Fourth. I can't believe it.
Those, they're like raccoons
with opposable thumbs.
They were actually nesting
in my prized plumerias.
- Oh no, not your prized plumeria.
The purple ones or the rainbow ones?
- And look, I think they're multiplying.
I heard there's a nest of
them behind the Wilson Shed.
- It's the smell of the compost.
It drives them wild.
Or maybe it's the school zone.
They're attracted to children.
I read that somewhere.
Oh, but don't worry, Cindy,
the mayor's gonna make
his announcement today.
- Oh really? He's making an announcement.
- I think it's gonna make a difference.
I hear that they've given the green light
for population control.
Humane relocation of course.
- Human relocation.
Yeah. That'll be great.
- But if anybody can fix
it, it's Mayor Bearington.
He really cares for Beartopia.
- Yeah. I'll let him govern me anytime.
- Oh. (chuckles)
And you know what else?
I hear they're gonna clear
out all the nasty human homes
down at the end of the block.
- This is from my home town.
Oh, they're like,
they bring them like
they're having a picnic.
What mother does that?
- A disrespectful kind
or a dangerous kind.
We don't have to worry about that until.
You know if it gets any worse,
I'm gonna send my kids to forest school.
I hear the squirrels run a solid program.
- At least the squirrels are
an old, dirty and smelly.
- True. (chuckles)
Oh, here he comes.
- Oh.
- Good morning, ladies.
Looking feral and ferocious as always.
- Hey, Drew, watch your emissions.
You're ruining my hydrangeas.
- Someone's compensating
for his tiny tail.
- Not what your daughter was saying
when we were dating. (chuckles)
- The only thing he hunts is attention.
- That's so true. (chuckles)
You think he takes humans
for rides on that thing?
- I'll take your daughter out for a ride.
- [Cindy] Oh my goodness.
- Oh boy.
- Bring back old times.
- We don't need your type around here.
- Have fun with them andraead.
Whatever.
- [Mayor] My fellow
bears, we must remember
that safety is not a privilege.
It is a right.
And that right begins with responsibility.
It begins with action.
(upbeat music)
This year, Beartopia turns a page.
Together we will reclaim our space,
protect our young and restore balance
to our beautiful wild land suburbs.
Citizens of Beartopia.
Today we stand on the edge of progress,
of safety, of peace, of purpose.
We have all watched this
threat grow together.
We have seen our neighborhoods disrupted,
our trash pilfered, our cubs
frightened, but no more.
Today I am proud to
announce the official launch
of the first phase
of our wildlife management initiative.
A plan built on data, on unity,
and above all, love for our home.
Thank you.
Nanook bless you.
And Nanook bless Beartopia.
- [Audience] Beartopia,
Beartopia, Beartopia.
- You tell 'em.
We all voted for you Mayor B.
- I would've, but I was at the honey pack
getting it on with Ms. Honey.
- Ew, gross, Femur.
- You should have been here.
We're in the presence of greatness.
Stop flexing.
You are dumb.
Your dumb is showing.
Zippers down, boy.
Put that gummy bear away.
- Proceed, Mr. B.
- So that concludes the bulk
of our press conference for today.
But we do have a few minutes
to take a few questions
from our esteemed members of the press.
- I have two questions.
- Ah, we have time for three.
Lunch doesn't start for an out.
Three questions. Not a problem.
It's an election year.
Three questions.
Yes, Bear.
- Mr. Mayor, how do you feel
about all these protestors?
- Oh yes, of course.
These, these are very
passionate individuals
and they do have the right to protest
as we recognize everyone's
right here in Beartopia.
But they need to understand
a great deal of energy
and thought went into this plan.
This is not random.
It's not just something
we cobbled together.
The one thing that I can
promise you and your viewers
is that these hunts will be conducted
in the most ethical way possible.
- Alright. I don't know what
ethical means, but I like him.
- Yes, Bear Bryant from BNN.
- [Bear Bryant] Oh.
- Yeah.
Yes.
- [Bear Bryant] Are they in your pocket?
- The developers?
No, not at all.
Again, this was a very comprehensive study
and we took all aspects
of it into consideration.
We understand it's not the human's fault.
They have nowhere else to go.
But at the end of the day, we
have to consider the safety
and wellbeing, not just
of our fellow bears,
but of our community.
- Did you get all that?
- [Bear Bryant] Yeah.
- Mr. Mayor, these brazen,
cocky humans need containment.
What's the plan?
- There will unfortunately
have to be enforcement.
However, those who conducted the survey,
along with our staff,
I've instructed them all,
there is to be no cruelty.
This will be conducted,
this hunt, ethically
by the book and under strict regulation.
No human that is killed
during these hunts.
And there are specific upper limits.
It will be under strict supervision
and we will make sure
that there is no cruelty,
no excesses carried out by anyone
who has a license issued by
the wild land government.
- And right now, that's
all we can talk about,
so thank you for your questions.
And that's, that's it for right now.
Thank you.
- Okay.
- [Audience] Beartopia,
Beartopia, Beartopia.
- It it video?
- Pictures?
- Yeah.
- Oh boy. (clears throat)
So apparently the mayor sees a
lot of potential in you guys.
You three should stick around.
There may be an opportunity for you.
- Max, stupid.
For real?
Like real mayor business?
- Just, just keep being yourself.
- I don't know what you
just said, but I'll do that.
Mayor.
- Okay. I can't handle.
Okay. Bye-bye.
- Thank you.
Yes.
- (coughs) I'm sorry.
Phase, phase two.
Well, actually we are reserving judgment
to see how phase one goes.
- We discussed phase one.
- Oh, I think we're out of time.
Well, thank you again, all,
for your kind attention.
And as always, bless Beartopia.
Thank you, Cubby.
- Good. Please just dealt with your posse
of people that you wanted me to deal with.
Posse of bears that you wanted me to do.
- Never underestimate-
- Let's get in the car.
Get in the car.
- [Cubby] I'm starting to sweat.
- Alright, alright.
- [Cubby] Sit down right here.
- I'm late for a massage.
You think these people
don't charge by the hour?
- Well, I'm late organizing
this whole entire business for you, okay?
- Alright, fine.
Next time don't park under an airport.
Alright. Thank you so much.
- Ugh, he's unbearable sometimes.
- Hey, good to see you. (chuckles)
- You think.
I'm not walking.
I don't think anybody saw me.
(upbeat music)
- Ooh, baby.
It looks like we got invited
to the big bear table.
- Oh yeah, we did.
That's when we get them
little badges, right?
I've always wanted to be a little deputy.
- Ah, you have no problem
showing up for duty.
- (chuckles) You said duty.
- Femur?
- What?
- Your dumb is showing again.
Come on, boy.
- Dammit.
- Let's show in the store.
- Oh, alright.
- Hi, Andy.
- Okay.
- Oh, I see you're drawing.
What are you drawing?
- Bears and humans just getting along.
- Oh, well, that's awesome.
I have some products
that I would like to buy.
- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.
- Woo. This is what I'm talking about.
Patriotism and possum piss.
(upbeat music)
Smell that?
Smells like the good stuff.
I smell like.
This thing could smell
like it's freedom in here.
- It smells like freedom.
- Think they sell mace in here?
I mean, for personal protection.
- I'm sure they got everything in here.
- Hi there, folks.
So welcome to Walk in the Woods.
Anything I can help you
find, just let me know.
- You work here, man?
- Yeah.
- Obviously you just said you work here.
Listen here.
We're looking for the good stuff.
Family management gear
for the great outdoors.
Carry anything like that?
- (chuckles) Yeah.
- For a, for a camping trip or?
(Femur chuckles)
- Something like that.
- See, we're part of the
mayor's little pilot program.
Wildlife Management.
He's a fan.
- We're faces of the new frontier, man.
Fair country.
- We're taking it back. Woo.
- Oh, I think I heard something
on the radio from the mayor
about a, a hunt.
- That's right. First hunt this weekend.
You better come out, man.
It's community work.
- Yeah.
- Plus you get a free vest
and a sticker that says, I help keep
Beartopia clean.
- Beartopia clean.
Woo. Sounds nice.
It's got a good ring to it, right?
- Yeah.
- What are you guys even hunting?
I mean.
- Oh, just some pest
who don't know how to stay in their lane.
- You ever seen one, kid?
A human?
- No, but I mean,
I think it would be pretty
cool if they were just.
- Serious issues.
- Kid, funny.
- So, so it's what?
About reducing encounters,
about public safety or what?
- Exactly.
It's not about hate but harmony.
You just stay where you're supposed to be
and no one gets snared.
Am I right?
- Yeah.
- Let's say like teddy
bears and peanut butter.
Then they're kinda asking for it.
- Well, I got, I kind
of like peanut butter.
I mean.
- Kid likes peanut butter.
(Femur laughs)
Who doesn't like peanut butter?
- Oh Lord.
- Hey, Delroy.
Don't you think this will
look good on me? (chuckles)
Too bad I'll probably never
get the blood stains out.
You're coming, aren't you?
You're coming out with us.
- Yeah.
- Sir, can you stop?
- You better come out, man.
For Beartopia. Woo.
- [Birdie] Beartopia.
- Long live the homeland.
- [Delroy] That's good stuff.
Let's go. Let's go.
It's a brand new day
- We're not paying for that.
- I hate those bears.
- Yeah, they're, they're passionate.
- Yeah, they're passionate
about the wrong things.
It's a brand new day
- Since nobody's here, can I
have control of the radio now?
- No, but what you can do is, can,
can you help me clean all this stuff up?
- What does it look like I'm doing here?
- Thank you.
- Oh, you're welcome.
- [Human] They bulldozed our homes
and they called it progress.
We, we became the pests.
Statistics.
- This is still true here.
I think this might be safe.
Sit together, okay, guys?
Get there.
Right there.
You gotta keep them safe too.
Keep your hand close to mine.
Come.
Come on.
(suspenseful music)
- Mommy's gonna go check it
out, make sure it's safe, okay?
Keep Mr. Bear safe, okay?
(suspenseful music continues)
(birds chirping)
(suspenseful music)
(singer hums)
You can drop Mr. Bear here. It's fine.
You see, guys.
This isn't so bad.
- No, it's not.
- It's dirty.
(slurps) Ooh, I'm not thirsty anymore.
It's so fresh.
What do you think?
(gaps) Whoa.
There's actually a bottle of water.
You smell it? Ugh.
- Smells like water.
- We should probably boil it.
We could like pretend
it's like an epic palace.
We can make it so shiny.
We could like do a makeover.
- Now it's something nice.
You ready to get to work?
Yeah, it's gonna take some
work, but we can do this.
We can make this work.
I love you.
Alright, guys.
Nice find, man.
I know there's gonna be lots
of treasures around here.
We just gotta keep our eyes peeled.
So let's see what we can find.
I'm gonna go this way.
You go that way.
Aris, you stick around here.
Look.
Look.
(gentle music)
First line's not the sun
Wildlife is on the run
I don't know
- Oh cool.
- Yeah.
We could totally pull with this.
Look, shovel.
What else do we need?
Old sky middle of the night
What brought the smoke?
- We can make this work.
You guys could have some fun with this.
I don't belong
And it seems the night is holding me
In places I don't wanna be a hold on
- Careful.
Alright, come on, guys.
You got this.
- Now put it on the shelf.
- Put it on the shelf.
We're gonna clean it up.
- Put it on the shelf.
- You've got it.
The shelf.
That's the thing that holds stuff.
- Right there.
- Remember you used to
have a whole shelf of toys?
- A whole shelf of what?
- Toys.
- Toys.
Gaze upon the hills on grace
Darkness stretches off for days
- Keep this. This is good.
Keep that clean.
Ooh.
Endless glow like fire flies
Hopes and dreams fall from
the skies like old songs
And it seems the night is holding me
In places I don't wanna be a hold on
I'll take the time to be alone
Another song being too long
- I found us cookies.
- Cool.
- I know you've been rubbing that tummy.
Are you ready for some food?
- Yeah.
- Alright.
Here, keep it, keep it together, keep it.
(playful music)
- No, no, no. Of course, Baby bear.
I wanna go on vacation,
but right now it's not.
- Excuse me, sir?
- Excuse me.
Why don't you go run along?
You see I'm on the phone, right?
Thank you.
Oh, you're just an adorable
little bear, aren't you?
Oh my goodness.
I'm surrounded by a bunch
of low functioning bears.
This is just awesome.
Nothing's getting.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
How do you think that's
gonna get down, huh?
Thank you so much.
- Here.
- Can't believe that you
wouldn't even think about
putting that there.
- Wait.
- You need something?
- Where you going?
We gotta get this.
I need those balloons.
- The balloon told me to go this way.
- The balloon speak to you?
- Those are speaking to me.
- Well, that's a pickle.
You are so lucky you're my brother.
- I am not feeling good about.
Where do you think you're going?
- Oh.
- Save some water for
the rest of the people
and go get those boxes
right on over there, okay?
- Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
- (chuckles) I don't know who hired you,
but you need to put a different shirt on.
What a horrible way to run.
- Makeup's good.
And do we need to change the?
This is good?
Alright, great.
(pensive music)
Hello, folks.
We are here live at the
beautiful waterfront home
of our very own Mayor Bearington,
for the first annual human
hunt registration cookout.
Despite the weather, we think it is going
to be a beautiful turnout.
Now we have some local influencers,
some internet personalities,
some celebrities.
It is going to be a lovely time.
So unless you are hibernating,
make sure that you come out today.
Back to you in the studio, Ursula.
- Tom, it was a pleasure to meet you, sir.
- Hello?
- It's a pleasure.
- Yeah, great.
Oh, (chuckles) right.
- It's a beautiful house, Mayor.
I tell you what.
Me and the trio we'll clear
this whole close deck for you
like nothing
- That is exactly the
initiative that we need.
You know, you might just have a future
beyond this little hobby of yours.
- Really, Mayor?
You sure?
Bear influencer.
- Ew.
Oh wait, can I just?
- What?
(camera clicks)
- You are the grossest bear in the world.
- Thank you.
I'm sorry, Mayor. (chuckles)
I usually have better habits than that.
Woo.
That's a good burger though.
Where did that influencer go?
- Far away from here.
- [Director] 30 seconds.
Rain, room tone, take two.
- Can somebody press that flag
or do I have to do that myself?
Anyone of you just standing around.
No takers?
Okay.
Don't move too quick. I'll do it.
- Oh, turn it the sign
facing me so I can see it.
- Yeah.
- Got it, boss.
- How long is this gonna take?
- We are live.
Hello, folks, welcome back.
Here we are at, oh, at Mayor Bearington's
first annual human hunt
registration cookout.
I am here with Carebear,
famed makeup artist
and influencer, fresh
off of her collaboration
with James Snarls.
Carebear, for the folks at home
who may have been hibernating,
how many followers do you have on Insta?
- 2.7 million.
- Very impressive for a cub your age.
And tell us, how do you
feel about the human hunt?
- I support it 100%.
- Just another one of Mayor
Bearington's initiatives
that you support, correct?
- Yes.
- Absolutely fantastic, folks.
A lovely interaction with a
patriotic Beartopia citizen.
Back to you in the studio, Ursula.
- I love my fans.
You guys are awesome.
- Back to you, Ursula.

Pick up your rifle
There's killing to be done
Anytime, anywhere
There'll be no safe
place for the black bear
Way down in Florida, way up in Maine
- Lemme see.
Alright, everything looks good.
I see you're doing the traps as well.
You are approved.
There you go.
How many humans are you going to get, son?
- Two.
- Ah, good, good, good, good, good.
Next, please.
- Ready my friends.
- Wow.
- Oh yeah. That's what I like to see.
Alright, lemme see that there.
Alright, you're doing
bows and traps. Very nice.
- Go ahead
- Baby brother.
- I just don't get it.
I thought we were a team.
We're just like some
backup dancers to him.
I don't feel like we're royalty.
We're just peasants.
- Well, maybe if you weren't
sweating like a sprinkler,
(chuckles) we'd get invited too.
Come here.
- Alright. That's how it's gonna be.
Thank you for being a good big sis.
- I got you.
- Thank you so much. Next, please.
- [Kid] Oh my God.
- Whoa.
Oh yeah, we love to-
- Give it to me.
- Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
We love to see.
I see you're doing
baiting, trapping and bows.
Very nice. Approved.
Here you are, sir.
- Oh my gosh.
Hey, can I please take a picture with you?
- Sure.
- Stop the hunt.
What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
This is wrong. This is murder.
Stop the hunt.
Stop the hunt.
- Look at what we have here.
Get over here.
- [Human] What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
This is wrong. This is murder.
- Go tell them that this
is a registered gathering.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- Use your.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- Delroy is busy, okay?
And you're just, you're
so approachable, alright?
- Whatever.
- You wanna get good with the mayor?
Wipe that smug off your face.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
- Don't worry.
- What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
- Ma'am, you need to please just leave.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- I can't deal with this right now.
It is so hard.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- It's stressing me out.
It is raining.
- What you doing is murder.
- And I'm just going
through a lot of emotions.
I'm asking you for the
love of just everything,
can you just please leave?
- You know what? You know what? Fine.
- Listen, I, I love humans too.
It's just right now
there's a lot going on,
and I'm just trying to get
on the mayor's good side.
And I just hope you understand that.
- What you doing is wrong.
- Approved.
Approved.
Approved.
Approved.
Anyone else?
You, sir, ma'am, are we
participating in the hunt?
- Hunters, you have honored
me with this turnout today.
But due to the inclement
weather, I'd like to invite
all of you into our humble home
for some delicious refreshments.
My wife has laid out a beautiful spread.
And for you sows, I have honey
wine chilled to perfection.
Then to give you bears a
little more fur on your chest,
I've got eight cases of Cubweiser on us.
So please, let's get out of
this wetness and get inside.
Have a good time and enjoy the.

- Oh, baby brother.
I saw you were having a hard
time with those protestors.
I mean, who wouldn't?
She just loves humans.
We just.
- I can't believe they cares so much.
- Right?
- They're humans.
- We gotta do something.
- Oh, I'm excited.
I think, I think I've gotta plan.
- What's the plan?
- I have to get outta here.
- Well, what do you mean
gonna get out of here?
- I have to get out of here.
We talked about this.
You can handle everything.
I made you look nice.
- Cubby, It's an election year.
- Yeah.
- I depend upon you for these things.
- And I'm at your service,
and you know I handle
everything in the back end.
- Alright?
- Ready?
- Go on. Get outta here.
- Are you freaking kidding me?
You are so a.
- The protestors.
Ah.
- Oh my. Ugh.
This can with you sometimes.
- Get up, get up.
- Ah.
- Ladies and gentlemen,
yet another violent unprovoked attack
from the protestors outside.
And yet inside in Mayor
Bearington's home, we are united.
We remain committed to harmony, to unity.
- Yes.
- To Beartopia.
- Beartopia.
- Oh my God, that was so good.
- Really?
- Yeah.
Oh, do you have representation?
We're gonna, yeah.
- You give him the old Delroy treatment?
Did you, boy?
- No, I gave him the Femur treatment.
- Oh, man. Come on.
That ain't exactly a compliment.
What did that do? (chuckles)
- Ask the mayor since you like
to play kissy kissy with him.
- Oh, oh, oh.
Forgive me, Mayor.
My little brother still
hasn't hit poverty yet.
- What about all the
criticisms from Mayor Grizzly
about you using public funds for the hunt?
- Please.
He's just jealous.
He knows I invented Pop Lizza.
That's why I'm the mayor of Beartopia
and he's the mayor of Cubsburg.
And besides those bald
monkeys are gonna go the way
of Christopher Robin.
- And we're gonna make a lot of money.
- Come on.
- Why is everybody so excited?
They're hunting moms.
- Well, they say it's for safety.
- Did that look safe?
Does this feel safe?
Does any of it feel safe?
- Just do what we have to.
Hi.
- Looking snug in those pants, Daddy Bear.
- Thank you.
- Let me guess.
You're the protect the forest type.
- Oh, just just trying to
keep my community safe.
- Oh, I bet you're good
at keeping things warm.
- Wow.
I, I, I can keep things warm.
- I just wrote, these are goldfish
- Snack that smiles back goldfish
- Do bears eat fish?
We love fish.
- We love fish, yep
- And that's it.
- I feel like it's a project.
I thing every time you're
like, and here's where we go.
It's 30 minutes from my house.
- Once. It was one time.
- Multiple times.
- Once.
And what?
- Hey, can we go back inside?
Like, you know, it's getting hot out.
I kinda wanna go back
and watch that premiere.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can go. We can go.
(phone buzzes)
- Oh, hang on. I'll right back.
- Oh.
- Hey?
- Hey, Delroy.
Let me just go abandon my daughter,
so I can play paramilitary wildlife.
- Yeah. I'm glad you
called back. Thank you.
- Paramilitary Wildlife.
- No, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm in, I'm in.
What?
I'm in.
I'm there.
You are looking at an official
neighborhood safety liaison.
- Is that a thing?
- Yeah, it is now.
- You're, you're really into this, huh?
- Yes.
- You're really into this.
You're really into this.
- Yeah. Like, yes.
Oh, man.
It just, I, it's hard to explain.
There's just, there's
something about them.
- There's just something
about being so gross
and smelling like all the time.
- Not all of them.
Just Delroy, Birdie, Femur.
- Oh, Birdie for sure. Really?
- Yeah. There's just, they've
got this fire, you know,
like they just believe in
something bigger than themselves.
- Yeah, like barbecue and bear flag.
- Come on, come on.
No, no, no, there's more than that.
It's more than that. They care.
- Really?
- Yes.
They're, they're not, they're
not afraid to act, okay?
Like, it's like, I, I felt disconnected
to something in so long.
You know, it's like I finally,
I finally found where I belong.
You know, for the first
time in a long time
I'm not just watching things happen.
I'm a part of something.
I'm, I'm helping keep this place safe
for you, for everybody.
- You sure it's about safety
or is it about being saved?
- Hey, I don't know.
Maybe it's both.
- What Simon says.
- Hey, mom, I'm gonna
go to the well, right?
(upbeat music)
- We're going.
- No.
- [Humomma] No you are not.
Turn around right now.
- We're going.
- [Humomma] I'm not joking.
Turn around right now, please.
- Okay.
- Good boys.
Thank you for listening.
It's important that we listen.
It's how we're gonna stay
safe in the world these days.
- Hey.
- Okay?
- I'm just going to die in this.
- They're crying.
(somber music)
How do I know?
- Yeah, we got.
- Three months felt like three winters.
We built the shelter from scraps.
We played pretend.
Just so they forget to cry.
- Okay, we'll keep the er.
- Alright, you can have a bowl.
You want this bowl?
Okay. Which spoon do you like?
- I like this.
- You like this?
- Tiny, tiny spoon for tiny guy.
Do you want a spatula or?
Alright, you guys sing a song for mommy
while I get the soups.
- I love you. I love you. I love you.
I love you.
- I love you too.
- I want my one.
- It's not poison.
Mm. We're gonna like that one.
Get a little sip.
- Mm.
- You wanna try?
Are you sure you wanna open lentil
with this one being so yummy?
Yeah, I think we stick with this one.
We don't even need that.
Who needs that?
Alright, you guys enjoy.
- No, mom.
- Well, look, that bowl or
that spoon is so perfect.
It'll be so perfect in me.
No? Okay.
I have this little spo or
this little bowl for you.
What if we do halfsies for
yous and halfsies for yous?
And mom will smell your
breath when we're done, okay?
- Hey, here, have some.
- No, I want you to eat it.
It's important.
- Here. Why do you have this again?
- I'm okay. I'm not hungry.
- [Aris] I don't want this.
- These are the same.
- Let's get some water, guys.
We gotta stay hydrated.
Alright, are you guys ready?
- Yeah.
- I'm so glad we were able to grab this.
- Yeah.
- I love you more and more.
Do you wanna read the first page?
- Sure.
But you're not gonna leave?
- You are my everything.
I love you.
- Me?
Me?
- Yes, you, high and low.
- My mommy.
- I love you more than flowers
love to blossom, bloom and grow.
- I love you more than the trees
love to change every season.
- Do you wanna do the next page, Aris?
- I don't know how to read.
- I love you more than anything.
- I love you more than anything.
I cannot name just one reason.
- I love you more than the waterfalls
love to splash on me and you.
- I love you more than fish
love to swirl in rivers blue.
- I love you more than the mountains
love the clouds breezing by.
- I love you more than stars
love to sparkle in the sky.
You are beautiful in all you do
and in all the words you say.
I love you my babies more and
more with every precious day.
(lively music)
Yeah
Yeah
I'm ready to go
I'm ready to go
Don't stop for
I am the danger
I am the boogeyman
I am a stranger
If there is a miracle
I'm the pain
A break in the spirit
Let's go
There is no savior
Just me and you
The back you whip later
This word is so evil
It's changing my nature
You thought I couldn't get at you
It's looking bleak, there's
blood in the streets
A treat for the freaks
It's been weeks at least
Increase the heat
I wanna watch it burn
Come on
Burn it down
Burn, burn
You with me?
Burn it down
I wanna watch it burn
I don't back down from anyone
I don't back down from anything
- So tell me what brings you
out tonight for the human hunt?
- Oh, well, you know it's civic duty.
You know you gotta do your duty as a bear
for all of Beartopia, for all of bearkind.
You need to be here and
you need to go ahead
and clean house.
- Absolutely.
- Yes, yes.
- And I know this is the
first official human hunt,
but it seems like you have a
little bit of prior experience.
- And dry clean only.
And the blood it just stick kind of just-
- Washes right off.
- Seeps right off, if
you know what I mean?
Officially speaking.
- I've been calling Delroy all damn day.
Just phone, text, just doesn't answer.
- I called him earlier. Nothing.
Oh baby bear misses his big brother.
- No, I mean I just, I brought the vest.
I mean, just look at the detail.
I mean it says The Trio.
- A real seamstress of
the revolution. (chuckles)
- Hey, it's badass.
I mean it's just badass.
I mean we're just gonna
roll in like the kings.
- Yeah, baby.
(upbeat music)
On the banks of the river
Stood Running Bear standing proud
On the other side of the river
Stood his lovely girlfriend south
Little White Tail was her name
Such a lovely sight to see
But their tribes fight each other
So their love will never be
Hey Running Bear
Run Little White Tail
With a love reaches the sky
Hey Running Bear
Run Little White Tail
'Cause your love we'll soon to die
Yee-haw.
(majestic music)
(majestic music continues)
- Wait.
Is that?
What?
What the hell?
- Damn, Delroy.
Out here playing chess.
No, no, no. Don't worry.
He's out here making moves.
He wants more power.
That's the nature of the game.
- I'm just such a chump.
Just like look at the vest.
- Hey, hey.
- I just brought it.
- Looks like I'm in charge tonight.
- Ready?
I'm ready.
I'm ready.
I'm part of the group.
Keep community safe.
Keep the community safe.
Keep the community safe for Andy.
For Andy.
- That boy looks so good.
Makes me wanna commit sins
with my boots still on.
- Rose.
- You're welcome.
- Just I know you won't be on me.
(dramatic music)
Hey. Ayo, Kevin.
(dramatic music continues)
Really?
- Tonight we reclaim the harmony
that is rightfully ours.
This is not merely a hunt.
This is history.
(audience applauds and cheers)
To our hunters, brave
citizens of Beartopia,
may your sights stay steady
and your cause stay pure.
(audience applauds and cheers)
Go forth.
(dramatic music)
- For Beartopia.
(gun bangs)
- It's a beautiful night
as we are gearing up
to begin the first annual human hunt.
We are incredibly excited
to see the citizens
of our great city of Beartopia
display their civic pride
and commitment to the
safety of all bearkind.
Now tell me, how did you
prepare for the hunt this year?
- Well, you know, to prepare,
you've gotta like, you know,
you gotta go shopping,
you gotta do a little
of the graham crampers, crackers.
You gotta get a little bit of the honey.
You gotta smother that around
and then pretty much just,
you know, go straight into it.
And I gotta carb up sometimes, you know?
- Absolutely.
Now the graham crackers
and honey, is that for you
or are you using that for bait?
- (chuckles) Yeah.
That's a trade secret,
if you know what I mean?
- I do, I do.
- That's why the count's
so high sometimes you know?
- You see that?
There's something under there.
- Under where?
- Shh.
- See, Delroy's gonna
be sad he missed out.
This is where the real hunting starts.
(suspenseful music)
You gotta be more excited.
You see that?
Juice box.
It means we're close.
It means we're very, very close.
- Well, I bet the mom's around.
She never leaves her cubs.
- I will take the little one first.
(ominous music)
- You've got to take care of him.
You know how to keep him safe, okay, baby?
You've gotta to, okay?
Please precious, I love so much.
And mommy will always,
always be watching, okay?
I'm gonna distract them away.
Keep going.
I love you guys so much.
- Could you open it up now?
- Okay.
(ominous music)
(Femur speaks in foreign language)
(energetic music)
The girls with their nails done
(energetic music continues)
- Hey, guys, it's Carebear.
And you know, like tonight
we're hunting and whatever
and you know, I'm gonna try
to film it all for you guys
'cause I love you guys
so, so, so, so much,
and I want you guys to be
on this journey with me.
But of course my phone is about to die
and somebody forgot to bring
my portable charger and my charging cord.
So even if I were to find
a power outlet in one
of these houses, you know I
can't even plug my phone in.
Maybe...
What? (gasps)
- Who's there?
Who is it?
(singer singing in foreign language)
(upbeat music)
- [Mayor] Two? Those two.
Those two.
- [Cubby] Ugh.
- So that brings the kill count to 12.
Just stop that nonsense.
- You know how expensive these pants are?
- Embrace your animal side. Come on.
- Got bugs all over my fur.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We'll call Delroy, have
him drag those corpses.
- Are you okay?
- I'm fine, I'm fine.
- I mean you can't even
walk over the walk over.
- I'll be fine. I'll be fine.
- You have a-
- I grew up in these woods.
We're fine. Stop, stop, stop there, man.
You're so worried all the time.
Alright, come on.
- You better d-
- I wanna get in. I wanna
go back to the cart.
I wanna go back to the cart, alright?
- Alright.
- [Mayor] I wanna go back to the cart.
- What are you doing?
Get in, get in, you wanna drive, right?
- Oh there's the-
- I don't even know why
I am letting you drive.
- Somebody.
That damn Delroy.
- Is that his name? Delroy?
I thought it was Dipshit?
Huh.
Learned something new every day.
- Get in the car.
- It's our sign for dipshit.
- Get in the car.
Get in the car.
- I can't get in.
Hold this thing here.
Oh.
- This thing is.
- You're making things too difficult.
You know where he got to?
He was here a minute ago.
He's around here somewhere.
Have him get those two bodies.
Tag them, bag them.
So we get the credit
and we're gonna move on.
Alright, we're moving on.
Is this thing good?
- Hold on. My gun is kind of good.
- Nevermind your gun.
- Hold on, hold on.
- With your gun here.
- Can you not put it in drive?
Put it in drive.
- I'm trying to put it in drive.
I'm trying. I can't talk to you.
You're worse than my ex-wife I tell you.
Holy smoke.
- Fire.
- [Cubby] Who is that?
- Oh God.
- [Cubby] Why does he yell like that?
- [Mayor] Because his
parents are first cousins.
- Don't, don't turn around for him.
I guess we have to.
Who's gotta clean up the bodies?
(suspenseful music)
- Leave a message after the beep.
Birdie, I'm so fricking lost.
Where are you?
(suspenseful music continues)
(suspenseful music continues)
- Boys?
I'm gonna take good care of you.
I found you.
- [Aris] Mommy.
(baby crying)
(ominous music)
(baby crying)
Shadows are calling
The curtain is drawn
How far have you fallen
Out in the dark
Live in the violence
Die by the sword
Deep in the fire
That's where darkness is born
Hide from my dreams
(baby crying)
- Where are you going?
Wait, wait, wait.
Shh.
Right past that.
- [Human] No, wait, no, no, no, no.
(gun bangs)
- That felt good.
That's 13.
You know what that means?
Mayor needs a top count,
and I say bag it and tag it.
- Woo.
- I gotta pee.
- You gotta pee?
- Yeah.
- You gotta pee?
- I've gotta pee like sea biscuit.
- Kids?
Kids?
Mommy's back.
Kids, mommy's back.
(gentle music)
(singers hums)
Come on.
Kids?
Kids?
Kids, mommy's back.
Kids? (sobs)
Kids?
(dog barks)
- Oh wow.
Okay, now you wanna respond?
I got no time for you right now.
I'm enjoying myself.
You think I care about you?
I don't.
- I've been holding it for the last hour.
Come on, come on, come on,
'cause you gotta watch.
I need you to be my eyes.
Hold my mask.
- Yeah.
- Gimme, gimme.
- Hold this.
- Just, I gotta go.
Just, I can only hold one bear at a time.
You take that thing, I'll get this thing.
Oh gosh.
- It's kind of an idiot.
- That is better than breakfast in Monaco.
- I don't need a run by run of
what you're doing over there.
- Oh, you don't have to worry about it.
I am just replenishing the aquifer.
Ooh, wow.
- [Cubby] Alright, alright.
- Man, oh man.
- [Cubby] I hear you.
I hear you.
- I could run a hydroponics lab right now.
Oh. (chuckles)
You know what the most
hilarious thing is, Cubby?
- No, sir. What?
- It's that all it took
to get this little town
to commit blood sport was a few speeches
and a couple of I care eyes. (laughs)
We gave them nothing and they
have given us everything.
Now that, that (chuckles) is hilarious.
- You're getting sloppy, Mayor.
- Nah.
- Put this thing.
- Would you just try to
enjoy tonight's show, Cub?
After all, that is what
tonight's for, isn't it?
- I'm enjoying it just fine, alright?
You're just becoming a liability now.
Use this.
Savages.
Use it.
- Ah.
Just speak for yourself.
- Shall we?
Get it. Oh, you are.
Yeah.
- [Cubby] There we go.
- [Mayor] I know.
- You look good.
You are good.
- Ready for my closeup.
- Ready?
- Mr. Demelle. (laughs)
(somber music)
(ominous music)
Waves in the ocean
Moth in the wind
(dog barks)
Snake in the garden
Runs through your head
Rain on the window
Cracks in the snow
Head on a pillow
Sleep in your hole
Take me with you now
Wherever you roam
(dogs barking)
Arms around your shoulder
Wherever you call
Kiss on the lips now
The day's getting colder
Wherever you come down
(dogs barking)
Waves in the ocean
Moth in the wind
Snake in the garden
Runs through your head
Rain on the window
Cracks in the snow
Head on a pillow
Sleep in your hole
(upbeat music)
(fire crackling)
- So (chuckles) what happened, track star?
She outrun you or something?
What happened?
- Dude, she was a damn risk girl, man.
She was just quick, man.
I don't know how fast you can
run, but I thought I was fast.
But she's, man, you gotta
see her. She's a runner.
- You sure it wasn't that
four bratwursts you had
at the mayor's house earlier?
Boy, you know that food slows you down.
- Well, I don't think so.
I mean, I can tell you what.
I haven't really ate much today,
but that doesn't define the gravity.
That girl got some legs on her.
- Ah.
Need to be more like your sister
is what you need to be like.
Look at her.
Look at her.
(intense music)
Playing with a little disgusting human.
Birdie girl, you having fun?
- You know they're not that
bad once you see 'em up close.
They're kind of cute actually.
- [Femur] Little smelly too.
- I like that.
- I don't know.
There's something for the little wrong.
- Did you know that human moms
can hear their babies crying
up to like 70 miles away.
- Femur, that's it.
(suspenseful music)
- Tom?
Tom, Tom, yeah, yeah, it's me.
It's me. It's Kevin.
She's, she's here.
Yeah, she's here in my yard.
The, the human, yeah, with,
with, with my daughter.
Listen, I, I, I don't care
what you're doing, Tom.
Bring them here.
The, the trio, please.
- Yeah.
Oh, thank you so much. Yes.
Hey, guys, I got some great news.
We got her.
- We got her?
- We got her.
It's Kevin.
- Kevin, this Delroy.
Got her?
The prize her outside your house?
(fire crackling)
- Hurry.
- [Delroy] Oh, we're on the way.
We're on the way.
(suspenseful music)
You ready to suit up?
- I don't know, man.
Something really does
not feel right with me.
- Boy, what you talking about?
Poppy's been preparing us for
the hunt since we were kids,
little cubs.
- Man, don't talk about Pop.
Pop wouldn't hunt like this.
That's wrong.
- Excuse me?
This is what it's been all about.
- They're really not
that different from us.
- Look at her.
She's beautiful.
- Yeah, I think, I think I
might have made a mistake.
- You're just gonna sit here.
Do you know what, boy?
I'ma go handle this myself.
This is your big chance.
Oh, boy.
If Pops was here right
now, he'd be beared off.
(suspenseful music)
- [Birdie] Go ahead.
Scream for your mom.
- [Aris] Mommy.
- Femur.
Need big brother to do everything for him.
Well, let's show him what
Bear Ruth looks like.
I know she's dumb to come on in.
I know she smells the blood
because I smell his blood.
(tense music)
(Delroy laughs)
Dumb human.
I'm gonna get me a mama, babe.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm gonna get a mama.
- Kevin?
- What?
- What are you doing?
Go inside.
- What are you doing?
- You shouldn't be here.
- What? Are you trying
to betray your own kind?
- [Kevin] It's not what you think.
- What do you mean it's not what I think?
That's what we're supposed to do.
- Listen, we're not, I'm not here
to help you kill a mother
in front of her own kids.
- But that's what we're
supposed to do, Kevin.
We gotta wipe 'em out.
- No, we don't.
- What do you mean no, we don't?
We don't have a choice, Kevin.
- We always have a choice.
(suspenseful music)
(lively music)
- No. (sobs)
(somber music)
(Humomma crying)
- I'm scared.
- Me too.
- What?
Why are you scared?
Why are you scared?
- Because sometimes...
Sometimes doing the right thing is scary.
But in the morning,
in the morning we can go on because,
'cause we chose something different.
- She didn't get to choose, did she?
She didn't get to choose anything.
We took that away from her.
It's not fair.
It, it's not fair.
- I didn't know, okay?
I'm sorry.
- Don't touch me.
(intense music)
- [Delroy] We don't have a choice, Kevin.
- [Kevin] We always have choice.
(lively music)
(Humomma crying)
- Okay, enough of this sob story.
We got a broadcast to run
and a blood quota to hits.
Time to wrap things up, sweetheart.
Tom Bearclaw, get the live feed running.
Places, everyone.
I want her lit perfectly.
Who wants to take the final shot?
(lively music continues)
- Hey, baby brother,
you wanna do the honors?
- [Delroy] Femur?
- [Birdie] Guess it's my lucky night.
- Looks like it's your
time to shine, sweetheart.
- A moment of unity.
A message sent a threat neutralized.
Here in Beartopia, we celebrate success,
we celebrate unity, we
celebrate a successful hunt.
(gentle music)
- [Narrator] They're mothers, teachers.
They're the sentinels of our forests.
They raise their young with tenderness.
They play for joy.
They stare at sunsets.
They pass on wisdom.
Bears are peaceful, brilliant.
They're mostly vegetarian.
They self-regulate.
They don't take more than they need.
And yet we call them a threat.
But when we destroy the
bear, we destroy the forest.
And when we destroy the
forest, we destroy ourselves.
They're not a menace.
They're a mirror, a gift.
And they are begging us to listen.
Barely breathing, don't let go
Hear the whispers, listen close
I know you've never
strayed from the fold
But that's how freedom begins
Bended knees and broken bones
A bleeding heart never bleeds
- Oh man.
- Now that my friends was an
impressive show of strength.
You have have proven that
you're ready for more.
- More what?
We gonna teach classes or something?
Human management 101.
- I think we've done enough.
- Tomorrow, my office.
This hunt, it wasn't the end.
It was the test.
- Let's just say that
tonight's headlines were good,
but what comes next?
That's legacy.
- Legacy of what?
- The new Beartopia not built on laws.
Built on loyalty.
(glasses clink)
And when we are done,
no one will even remember
what came before.
(everyone cheers)
- Time to party.
You hear that, boy?
Phase two.
Bended knee and broken bones
A bleeding heart never bleeds alone
I am one of many cries
We are far from the ashes
Rise up
Break the cage
Be the lion
Be the storm
Be the strength of the lightning
Rise with the dawn
Raise like the sun
This is what we came for
Revolution
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Rise up
Break the cage
Be the lion
Be the storm
Be the strength of the lightning
Rise with the dawn
Raise like the sun
This is what we came for
Revolution
Rise up
Break the cage
Be the lion
Be the storm
Be the strength of the lightning
Rise with the dawn
Raise like the sun
This is what we came for
Revolution
- [Humomma] The moment they
arrive, the world tilts,
and suddenly nothing
is about you anymore.
Every breath, every heartbeat,
it all becomes theirs.
We grow faster than we
ever thought we could.
Not just in strength, but in softness
and instinct, in love.
We love them, we teach them.
We worry, we roar.
We roar, we play, we cry.
We hold on, and we let go.
And through it all we try.
Always, always we try.
(gentle music)
- Looking for a fresh start,
a clean forest breeze,
friendly neighbors with strong claws
and even stronger values.
Welcome to Beartopia,
where community, safety
and progress are more than words.
There are claws to success.
Here in Beartopia your cubs can
thrive in inclusive schools,
eco-friendly dens and
fully furnished homes
designed with sustainability in mind.
We believe in giving back.
Our wildlife management initiatives
ensures peaceful coexistence
by managing threats
before they manage us.
(gentle music)
- This is what love is.
(gentle music continues)
We built our homes, we raised our young,
we planted the seeds in our
gardens as we watched them grow.
We sang lullabies to our babies.
Scout over.
As we watch them grow.
And we always trusted in tomorrow.
- You are my everything.
I love you high and low.
I love you more than the flowers
love to blossom, bloom and grow.
I love you more than the trees
love to change with every season.
- Do you hear that?
- Yeah.
- What is that? It's a weird sound.
- Go pack your bag, go.
(ominous music)
Get Mr. Bear, come on.
Come on.
Get the things.
Get some clothes.
Aris, come here.
Baby, we gotta get our shoes.
This is what it is
Glass up in the air
Cheers
So Ima live it how I wanna live
This is what it is
Glass up in the air
Cheers
- Woo-hoo, Janet.
Oh, third morning this week, huh?
- Fourth. I can't believe it.
Those, they're like raccoons
with opposable thumbs.
They were actually nesting
in my prized plumerias.
- Oh no, not your prized plumeria.
The purple ones or the rainbow ones?
- And look, I think they're multiplying.
I heard there's a nest of
them behind the Wilson Shed.
- It's the smell of the compost.
It drives them wild.
Or maybe it's the school zone.
They're attracted to children.
I read that somewhere.
Oh, but don't worry, Cindy,
the mayor's gonna make
his announcement today.
- Oh really? He's making an announcement.
- I think it's gonna make a difference.
I hear that they've given the green light
for population control.
Humane relocation of course.
- Human relocation.
Yeah. That'll be great.
- But if anybody can fix
it, it's Mayor Bearington.
He really cares for Beartopia.
- Yeah. I'll let him govern me anytime.
- Oh. (chuckles)
And you know what else?
I hear they're gonna clear
out all the nasty human homes
down at the end of the block.
- This is from my home town.
Oh, they're like,
they bring them like
they're having a picnic.
What mother does that?
- A disrespectful kind
or a dangerous kind.
We don't have to worry about that until.
You know if it gets any worse,
I'm gonna send my kids to forest school.
I hear the squirrels run a solid program.
- At least the squirrels are
an old, dirty and smelly.
- True. (chuckles)
Oh, here he comes.
- Oh.
- Good morning, ladies.
Looking feral and ferocious as always.
- Hey, Drew, watch your emissions.
You're ruining my hydrangeas.
- Someone's compensating
for his tiny tail.
- Not what your daughter was saying
when we were dating. (chuckles)
- The only thing he hunts is attention.
- That's so true. (chuckles)
You think he takes humans
for rides on that thing?
- I'll take your daughter out for a ride.
- [Cindy] Oh my goodness.
- Oh boy.
- Bring back old times.
- We don't need your type around here.
- Have fun with them andraead.
Whatever.
- [Mayor] My fellow
bears, we must remember
that safety is not a privilege.
It is a right.
And that right begins with responsibility.
It begins with action.
(upbeat music)
This year, Beartopia turns a page.
Together we will reclaim our space,
protect our young and restore balance
to our beautiful wild land suburbs.
Citizens of Beartopia.
Today we stand on the edge of progress,
of safety, of peace, of purpose.
We have all watched this
threat grow together.
We have seen our neighborhoods disrupted,
our trash pilfered, our cubs
frightened, but no more.
Today I am proud to
announce the official launch
of the first phase
of our wildlife management initiative.
A plan built on data, on unity,
and above all, love for our home.
Thank you.
Nanook bless you.
And Nanook bless Beartopia.
- [Audience] Beartopia,
Beartopia, Beartopia.
- You tell 'em.
We all voted for you Mayor B.
- I would've, but I was at the honey pack
getting it on with Ms. Honey.
- Ew, gross, Femur.
- You should have been here.
We're in the presence of greatness.
Stop flexing.
You are dumb.
Your dumb is showing.
Zippers down, boy.
Put that gummy bear away.
- Proceed, Mr. B.
- So that concludes the bulk
of our press conference for today.
But we do have a few minutes
to take a few questions
from our esteemed members of the press.
- I have two questions.
- Ah, we have time for three.
Lunch doesn't start for an out.
Three questions. Not a problem.
It's an election year.
Three questions.
Yes, Bear.
- Mr. Mayor, how do you feel
about all these protestors?
- Oh yes, of course.
These, these are very
passionate individuals
and they do have the right to protest
as we recognize everyone's
right here in Beartopia.
But they need to understand
a great deal of energy
and thought went into this plan.
This is not random.
It's not just something
we cobbled together.
The one thing that I can
promise you and your viewers
is that these hunts will be conducted
in the most ethical way possible.
- Alright. I don't know what
ethical means, but I like him.
- Yes, Bear Bryant from BNN.
- [Bear Bryant] Oh.
- Yeah.
Yes.
- [Bear Bryant] Are they in your pocket?
- The developers?
No, not at all.
Again, this was a very comprehensive study
and we took all aspects
of it into consideration.
We understand it's not the human's fault.
They have nowhere else to go.
But at the end of the day, we
have to consider the safety
and wellbeing, not just
of our fellow bears,
but of our community.
- Did you get all that?
- [Bear Bryant] Yeah.
- Mr. Mayor, these brazen,
cocky humans need containment.
What's the plan?
- There will unfortunately
have to be enforcement.
However, those who conducted the survey,
along with our staff,
I've instructed them all,
there is to be no cruelty.
This will be conducted,
this hunt, ethically
by the book and under strict regulation.
No human that is killed
during these hunts.
And there are specific upper limits.
It will be under strict supervision
and we will make sure
that there is no cruelty,
no excesses carried out by anyone
who has a license issued by
the wild land government.
- And right now, that's
all we can talk about,
so thank you for your questions.
And that's, that's it for right now.
Thank you.
- Okay.
- [Audience] Beartopia,
Beartopia, Beartopia.
- It it video?
- Pictures?
- Yeah.
- Oh boy. (clears throat)
So apparently the mayor sees a
lot of potential in you guys.
You three should stick around.
There may be an opportunity for you.
- Max, stupid.
For real?
Like real mayor business?
- Just, just keep being yourself.
- I don't know what you
just said, but I'll do that.
Mayor.
- Okay. I can't handle.
Okay. Bye-bye.
- Thank you.
Yes.
- (coughs) I'm sorry.
Phase, phase two.
Well, actually we are reserving judgment
to see how phase one goes.
- We discussed phase one.
- Oh, I think we're out of time.
Well, thank you again, all,
for your kind attention.
And as always, bless Beartopia.
Thank you, Cubby.
- Good. Please just dealt with your posse
of people that you wanted me to deal with.
Posse of bears that you wanted me to do.
- Never underestimate-
- Let's get in the car.
Get in the car.
- [Cubby] I'm starting to sweat.
- Alright, alright.
- [Cubby] Sit down right here.
- I'm late for a massage.
You think these people
don't charge by the hour?
- Well, I'm late organizing
this whole entire business for you, okay?
- Alright, fine.
Next time don't park under an airport.
Alright. Thank you so much.
- Ugh, he's unbearable sometimes.
- Hey, good to see you. (chuckles)
- You think.
I'm not walking.
I don't think anybody saw me.
(upbeat music)
- Ooh, baby.
It looks like we got invited
to the big bear table.
- Oh yeah, we did.
That's when we get them
little badges, right?
I've always wanted to be a little deputy.
- Ah, you have no problem
showing up for duty.
- (chuckles) You said duty.
- Femur?
- What?
- Your dumb is showing again.
Come on, boy.
- Dammit.
- Let's show in the store.
- Oh, alright.
- Hi, Andy.
- Okay.
- Oh, I see you're drawing.
What are you drawing?
- Bears and humans just getting along.
- Oh, well, that's awesome.
I have some products
that I would like to buy.
- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.
- Woo. This is what I'm talking about.
Patriotism and possum piss.
(upbeat music)
Smell that?
Smells like the good stuff.
I smell like.
This thing could smell
like it's freedom in here.
- It smells like freedom.
- Think they sell mace in here?
I mean, for personal protection.
- I'm sure they got everything in here.
- Hi there, folks.
So welcome to Walk in the Woods.
Anything I can help you
find, just let me know.
- You work here, man?
- Yeah.
- Obviously you just said you work here.
Listen here.
We're looking for the good stuff.
Family management gear
for the great outdoors.
Carry anything like that?
- (chuckles) Yeah.
- For a, for a camping trip or?
(Femur chuckles)
- Something like that.
- See, we're part of the
mayor's little pilot program.
Wildlife Management.
He's a fan.
- We're faces of the new frontier, man.
Fair country.
- We're taking it back. Woo.
- Oh, I think I heard something
on the radio from the mayor
about a, a hunt.
- That's right. First hunt this weekend.
You better come out, man.
It's community work.
- Yeah.
- Plus you get a free vest
and a sticker that says, I help keep
Beartopia clean.
- Beartopia clean.
Woo. Sounds nice.
It's got a good ring to it, right?
- Yeah.
- What are you guys even hunting?
I mean.
- Oh, just some pest
who don't know how to stay in their lane.
- You ever seen one, kid?
A human?
- No, but I mean,
I think it would be pretty
cool if they were just.
- Serious issues.
- Kid, funny.
- So, so it's what?
About reducing encounters,
about public safety or what?
- Exactly.
It's not about hate but harmony.
You just stay where you're supposed to be
and no one gets snared.
Am I right?
- Yeah.
- Let's say like teddy
bears and peanut butter.
Then they're kinda asking for it.
- Well, I got, I kind
of like peanut butter.
I mean.
- Kid likes peanut butter.
(Femur laughs)
Who doesn't like peanut butter?
- Oh Lord.
- Hey, Delroy.
Don't you think this will
look good on me? (chuckles)
Too bad I'll probably never
get the blood stains out.
You're coming, aren't you?
You're coming out with us.
- Yeah.
- Sir, can you stop?
- You better come out, man.
For Beartopia. Woo.
- [Birdie] Beartopia.
- Long live the homeland.
- [Delroy] That's good stuff.
Let's go. Let's go.
It's a brand new day
- We're not paying for that.
- I hate those bears.
- Yeah, they're, they're passionate.
- Yeah, they're passionate
about the wrong things.
It's a brand new day
- Since nobody's here, can I
have control of the radio now?
- No, but what you can do is, can,
can you help me clean all this stuff up?
- What does it look like I'm doing here?
- Thank you.
- Oh, you're welcome.
- [Human] They bulldozed our homes
and they called it progress.
We, we became the pests.
Statistics.
- This is still true here.
I think this might be safe.
Sit together, okay, guys?
Get there.
Right there.
You gotta keep them safe too.
Keep your hand close to mine.
Come.
Come on.
(suspenseful music)
- Mommy's gonna go check it
out, make sure it's safe, okay?
Keep Mr. Bear safe, okay?
(suspenseful music continues)
(birds chirping)
(suspenseful music)
(singer hums)
You can drop Mr. Bear here. It's fine.
You see, guys.
This isn't so bad.
- No, it's not.
- It's dirty.
(slurps) Ooh, I'm not thirsty anymore.
It's so fresh.
What do you think?
(gaps) Whoa.
There's actually a bottle of water.
You smell it? Ugh.
- Smells like water.
- We should probably boil it.
We could like pretend
it's like an epic palace.
We can make it so shiny.
We could like do a makeover.
- Now it's something nice.
You ready to get to work?
Yeah, it's gonna take some
work, but we can do this.
We can make this work.
I love you.
Alright, guys.
Nice find, man.
I know there's gonna be lots
of treasures around here.
We just gotta keep our eyes peeled.
So let's see what we can find.
I'm gonna go this way.
You go that way.
Aris, you stick around here.
Look.
Look.
(gentle music)
First line's not the sun
Wildlife is on the run
I don't know
- Oh cool.
- Yeah.
We could totally pull with this.
Look, shovel.
What else do we need?
Old sky middle of the night
What brought the smoke?
- We can make this work.
You guys could have some fun with this.
I don't belong
And it seems the night is holding me
In places I don't wanna be a hold on
- Careful.
Alright, come on, guys.
You got this.
- Now put it on the shelf.
- Put it on the shelf.
We're gonna clean it up.
- Put it on the shelf.
- You've got it.
The shelf.
That's the thing that holds stuff.
- Right there.
- Remember you used to
have a whole shelf of toys?
- A whole shelf of what?
- Toys.
- Toys.
Gaze upon the hills on grace
Darkness stretches off for days
- Keep this. This is good.
Keep that clean.
Ooh.
Endless glow like fire flies
Hopes and dreams fall from
the skies like old songs
And it seems the night is holding me
In places I don't wanna be a hold on
I'll take the time to be alone
Another song being too long
- I found us cookies.
- Cool.
- I know you've been rubbing that tummy.
Are you ready for some food?
- Yeah.
- Alright.
Here, keep it, keep it together, keep it.
(playful music)
- No, no, no. Of course, Baby bear.
I wanna go on vacation,
but right now it's not.
- Excuse me, sir?
- Excuse me.
Why don't you go run along?
You see I'm on the phone, right?
Thank you.
Oh, you're just an adorable
little bear, aren't you?
Oh my goodness.
I'm surrounded by a bunch
of low functioning bears.
This is just awesome.
Nothing's getting.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
How do you think that's
gonna get down, huh?
Thank you so much.
- Here.
- Can't believe that you
wouldn't even think about
putting that there.
- Wait.
- You need something?
- Where you going?
We gotta get this.
I need those balloons.
- The balloon told me to go this way.
- The balloon speak to you?
- Those are speaking to me.
- Well, that's a pickle.
You are so lucky you're my brother.
- I am not feeling good about.
Where do you think you're going?
- Oh.
- Save some water for
the rest of the people
and go get those boxes
right on over there, okay?
- Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
- (chuckles) I don't know who hired you,
but you need to put a different shirt on.
What a horrible way to run.
- Makeup's good.
And do we need to change the?
This is good?
Alright, great.
(pensive music)
Hello, folks.
We are here live at the
beautiful waterfront home
of our very own Mayor Bearington,
for the first annual human
hunt registration cookout.
Despite the weather, we think it is going
to be a beautiful turnout.
Now we have some local influencers,
some internet personalities,
some celebrities.
It is going to be a lovely time.
So unless you are hibernating,
make sure that you come out today.
Back to you in the studio, Ursula.
- Tom, it was a pleasure to meet you, sir.
- Hello?
- It's a pleasure.
- Yeah, great.
Oh, (chuckles) right.
- It's a beautiful house, Mayor.
I tell you what.
Me and the trio we'll clear
this whole close deck for you
like nothing
- That is exactly the
initiative that we need.
You know, you might just have a future
beyond this little hobby of yours.
- Really, Mayor?
You sure?
Bear influencer.
- Ew.
Oh wait, can I just?
- What?
(camera clicks)
- You are the grossest bear in the world.
- Thank you.
I'm sorry, Mayor. (chuckles)
I usually have better habits than that.
Woo.
That's a good burger though.
Where did that influencer go?
- Far away from here.
- [Director] 30 seconds.
Rain, room tone, take two.
- Can somebody press that flag
or do I have to do that myself?
Anyone of you just standing around.
No takers?
Okay.
Don't move too quick. I'll do it.
- Oh, turn it the sign
facing me so I can see it.
- Yeah.
- Got it, boss.
- How long is this gonna take?
- We are live.
Hello, folks, welcome back.
Here we are at, oh, at Mayor Bearington's
first annual human hunt
registration cookout.
I am here with Carebear,
famed makeup artist
and influencer, fresh
off of her collaboration
with James Snarls.
Carebear, for the folks at home
who may have been hibernating,
how many followers do you have on Insta?
- 2.7 million.
- Very impressive for a cub your age.
And tell us, how do you
feel about the human hunt?
- I support it 100%.
- Just another one of Mayor
Bearington's initiatives
that you support, correct?
- Yes.
- Absolutely fantastic, folks.
A lovely interaction with a
patriotic Beartopia citizen.
Back to you in the studio, Ursula.
- I love my fans.
You guys are awesome.
- Back to you, Ursula.

Pick up your rifle
There's killing to be done
Anytime, anywhere
There'll be no safe
place for the black bear
Way down in Florida, way up in Maine
- Lemme see.
Alright, everything looks good.
I see you're doing the traps as well.
You are approved.
There you go.
How many humans are you going to get, son?
- Two.
- Ah, good, good, good, good, good.
Next, please.
- Ready my friends.
- Wow.
- Oh yeah. That's what I like to see.
Alright, lemme see that there.
Alright, you're doing
bows and traps. Very nice.
- Go ahead
- Baby brother.
- I just don't get it.
I thought we were a team.
We're just like some
backup dancers to him.
I don't feel like we're royalty.
We're just peasants.
- Well, maybe if you weren't
sweating like a sprinkler,
(chuckles) we'd get invited too.
Come here.
- Alright. That's how it's gonna be.
Thank you for being a good big sis.
- I got you.
- Thank you so much. Next, please.
- [Kid] Oh my God.
- Whoa.
Oh yeah, we love to-
- Give it to me.
- Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
We love to see.
I see you're doing
baiting, trapping and bows.
Very nice. Approved.
Here you are, sir.
- Oh my gosh.
Hey, can I please take a picture with you?
- Sure.
- Stop the hunt.
What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
This is wrong. This is murder.
Stop the hunt.
Stop the hunt.
- Look at what we have here.
Get over here.
- [Human] What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
This is wrong. This is murder.
- Go tell them that this
is a registered gathering.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- Use your.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- Delroy is busy, okay?
And you're just, you're
so approachable, alright?
- Whatever.
- You wanna get good with the mayor?
Wipe that smug off your face.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
- Don't worry.
- What are we doing?
Humans have rights too.
- Ma'am, you need to please just leave.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- I can't deal with this right now.
It is so hard.
- [Human] Stop the hunt.
- It's stressing me out.
It is raining.
- What you doing is murder.
- And I'm just going
through a lot of emotions.
I'm asking you for the
love of just everything,
can you just please leave?
- You know what? You know what? Fine.
- Listen, I, I love humans too.
It's just right now
there's a lot going on,
and I'm just trying to get
on the mayor's good side.
And I just hope you understand that.
- What you doing is wrong.
- Approved.
Approved.
Approved.
Approved.
Anyone else?
You, sir, ma'am, are we
participating in the hunt?
- Hunters, you have honored
me with this turnout today.
But due to the inclement
weather, I'd like to invite
all of you into our humble home
for some delicious refreshments.
My wife has laid out a beautiful spread.
And for you sows, I have honey
wine chilled to perfection.
Then to give you bears a
little more fur on your chest,
I've got eight cases of Cubweiser on us.
So please, let's get out of
this wetness and get inside.
Have a good time and enjoy the.

- Oh, baby brother.
I saw you were having a hard
time with those protestors.
I mean, who wouldn't?
She just loves humans.
We just.
- I can't believe they cares so much.
- Right?
- They're humans.
- We gotta do something.
- Oh, I'm excited.
I think, I think I've gotta plan.
- What's the plan?
- I have to get outta here.
- Well, what do you mean
gonna get out of here?
- I have to get out of here.
We talked about this.
You can handle everything.
I made you look nice.
- Cubby, It's an election year.
- Yeah.
- I depend upon you for these things.
- And I'm at your service,
and you know I handle
everything in the back end.
- Alright?
- Ready?
- Go on. Get outta here.
- Are you freaking kidding me?
You are so a.
- The protestors.
Ah.
- Oh my. Ugh.
This can with you sometimes.
- Get up, get up.
- Ah.
- Ladies and gentlemen,
yet another violent unprovoked attack
from the protestors outside.
And yet inside in Mayor
Bearington's home, we are united.
We remain committed to harmony, to unity.
- Yes.
- To Beartopia.
- Beartopia.
- Oh my God, that was so good.
- Really?
- Yeah.
Oh, do you have representation?
We're gonna, yeah.
- You give him the old Delroy treatment?
Did you, boy?
- No, I gave him the Femur treatment.
- Oh, man. Come on.
That ain't exactly a compliment.
What did that do? (chuckles)
- Ask the mayor since you like
to play kissy kissy with him.
- Oh, oh, oh.
Forgive me, Mayor.
My little brother still
hasn't hit poverty yet.
- What about all the
criticisms from Mayor Grizzly
about you using public funds for the hunt?
- Please.
He's just jealous.
He knows I invented Pop Lizza.
That's why I'm the mayor of Beartopia
and he's the mayor of Cubsburg.
And besides those bald
monkeys are gonna go the way
of Christopher Robin.
- And we're gonna make a lot of money.
- Come on.
- Why is everybody so excited?
They're hunting moms.
- Well, they say it's for safety.
- Did that look safe?
Does this feel safe?
Does any of it feel safe?
- Just do what we have to.
Hi.
- Looking snug in those pants, Daddy Bear.
- Thank you.
- Let me guess.
You're the protect the forest type.
- Oh, just just trying to
keep my community safe.
- Oh, I bet you're good
at keeping things warm.
- Wow.
I, I, I can keep things warm.
- I just wrote, these are goldfish
- Snack that smiles back goldfish
- Do bears eat fish?
We love fish.
- We love fish, yep
- And that's it.
- I feel like it's a project.
I thing every time you're
like, and here's where we go.
It's 30 minutes from my house.
- Once. It was one time.
- Multiple times.
- Once.
And what?
- Hey, can we go back inside?
Like, you know, it's getting hot out.
I kinda wanna go back
and watch that premiere.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can go. We can go.
(phone buzzes)
- Oh, hang on. I'll right back.
- Oh.
- Hey?
- Hey, Delroy.
Let me just go abandon my daughter,
so I can play paramilitary wildlife.
- Yeah. I'm glad you
called back. Thank you.
- Paramilitary Wildlife.
- No, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm in, I'm in.
What?
I'm in.
I'm there.
You are looking at an official
neighborhood safety liaison.
- Is that a thing?
- Yeah, it is now.
- You're, you're really into this, huh?
- Yes.
- You're really into this.
You're really into this.
- Yeah. Like, yes.
Oh, man.
It just, I, it's hard to explain.
There's just, there's
something about them.
- There's just something
about being so gross
and smelling like all the time.
- Not all of them.
Just Delroy, Birdie, Femur.
- Oh, Birdie for sure. Really?
- Yeah. There's just, they've
got this fire, you know,
like they just believe in
something bigger than themselves.
- Yeah, like barbecue and bear flag.
- Come on, come on.
No, no, no, there's more than that.
It's more than that. They care.
- Really?
- Yes.
They're, they're not, they're
not afraid to act, okay?
Like, it's like, I, I felt disconnected
to something in so long.
You know, it's like I finally,
I finally found where I belong.
You know, for the first
time in a long time
I'm not just watching things happen.
I'm a part of something.
I'm, I'm helping keep this place safe
for you, for everybody.
- You sure it's about safety
or is it about being saved?
- Hey, I don't know.
Maybe it's both.
- What Simon says.
- Hey, mom, I'm gonna
go to the well, right?
(upbeat music)
- We're going.
- No.
- [Humomma] No you are not.
Turn around right now.
- We're going.
- [Humomma] I'm not joking.
Turn around right now, please.
- Okay.
- Good boys.
Thank you for listening.
It's important that we listen.
It's how we're gonna stay
safe in the world these days.
- Hey.
- Okay?
- I'm just going to die in this.
- They're crying.
(somber music)
How do I know?
- Yeah, we got.
- Three months felt like three winters.
We built the shelter from scraps.
We played pretend.
Just so they forget to cry.
- Okay, we'll keep the er.
- Alright, you can have a bowl.
You want this bowl?
Okay. Which spoon do you like?
- I like this.
- You like this?
- Tiny, tiny spoon for tiny guy.
Do you want a spatula or?
Alright, you guys sing a song for mommy
while I get the soups.
- I love you. I love you. I love you.
I love you.
- I love you too.
- I want my one.
- It's not poison.
Mm. We're gonna like that one.
Get a little sip.
- Mm.
- You wanna try?
Are you sure you wanna open lentil
with this one being so yummy?
Yeah, I think we stick with this one.
We don't even need that.
Who needs that?
Alright, you guys enjoy.
- No, mom.
- Well, look, that bowl or
that spoon is so perfect.
It'll be so perfect in me.
No? Okay.
I have this little spo or
this little bowl for you.
What if we do halfsies for
yous and halfsies for yous?
And mom will smell your
breath when we're done, okay?
- Hey, here, have some.
- No, I want you to eat it.
It's important.
- Here. Why do you have this again?
- I'm okay. I'm not hungry.
- [Aris] I don't want this.
- These are the same.
- Let's get some water, guys.
We gotta stay hydrated.
Alright, are you guys ready?
- Yeah.
- I'm so glad we were able to grab this.
- Yeah.
- I love you more and more.
Do you wanna read the first page?
- Sure.
But you're not gonna leave?
- You are my everything.
I love you.
- Me?
Me?
- Yes, you, high and low.
- My mommy.
- I love you more than flowers
love to blossom, bloom and grow.
- I love you more than the trees
love to change every season.
- Do you wanna do the next page, Aris?
- I don't know how to read.
- I love you more than anything.
- I love you more than anything.
I cannot name just one reason.
- I love you more than the waterfalls
love to splash on me and you.
- I love you more than fish
love to swirl in rivers blue.
- I love you more than the mountains
love the clouds breezing by.
- I love you more than stars
love to sparkle in the sky.
You are beautiful in all you do
and in all the words you say.
I love you my babies more and
more with every precious day.
(lively music)
Yeah
Yeah
I'm ready to go
I'm ready to go
Don't stop for
I am the danger
I am the boogeyman
I am a stranger
If there is a miracle
I'm the pain
A break in the spirit
Let's go
There is no savior
Just me and you
The back you whip later
This word is so evil
It's changing my nature
You thought I couldn't get at you
It's looking bleak, there's
blood in the streets
A treat for the freaks
It's been weeks at least
Increase the heat
I wanna watch it burn
Come on
Burn it down
Burn, burn
You with me?
Burn it down
I wanna watch it burn
I don't back down from anyone
I don't back down from anything
- So tell me what brings you
out tonight for the human hunt?
- Oh, well, you know it's civic duty.
You know you gotta do your duty as a bear
for all of Beartopia, for all of bearkind.
You need to be here and
you need to go ahead
and clean house.
- Absolutely.
- Yes, yes.
- And I know this is the
first official human hunt,
but it seems like you have a
little bit of prior experience.
- And dry clean only.
And the blood it just stick kind of just-
- Washes right off.
- Seeps right off, if
you know what I mean?
Officially speaking.
- I've been calling Delroy all damn day.
Just phone, text, just doesn't answer.
- I called him earlier. Nothing.
Oh baby bear misses his big brother.
- No, I mean I just, I brought the vest.
I mean, just look at the detail.
I mean it says The Trio.
- A real seamstress of
the revolution. (chuckles)
- Hey, it's badass.
I mean it's just badass.
I mean we're just gonna
roll in like the kings.
- Yeah, baby.
(upbeat music)
On the banks of the river
Stood Running Bear standing proud
On the other side of the river
Stood his lovely girlfriend south
Little White Tail was her name
Such a lovely sight to see
But their tribes fight each other
So their love will never be
Hey Running Bear
Run Little White Tail
With a love reaches the sky
Hey Running Bear
Run Little White Tail
'Cause your love we'll soon to die
Yee-haw.
(majestic music)
(majestic music continues)
- Wait.
Is that?
What?
What the hell?
- Damn, Delroy.
Out here playing chess.
No, no, no. Don't worry.
He's out here making moves.
He wants more power.
That's the nature of the game.
- I'm just such a chump.
Just like look at the vest.
- Hey, hey.
- I just brought it.
- Looks like I'm in charge tonight.
- Ready?
I'm ready.
I'm ready.
I'm part of the group.
Keep community safe.
Keep the community safe.
Keep the community safe for Andy.
For Andy.
- That boy looks so good.
Makes me wanna commit sins
with my boots still on.
- Rose.
- You're welcome.
- Just I know you won't be on me.
(dramatic music)
Hey. Ayo, Kevin.
(dramatic music continues)
Really?
- Tonight we reclaim the harmony
that is rightfully ours.
This is not merely a hunt.
This is history.
(audience applauds and cheers)
To our hunters, brave
citizens of Beartopia,
may your sights stay steady
and your cause stay pure.
(audience applauds and cheers)
Go forth.
(dramatic music)
- For Beartopia.
(gun bangs)
- It's a beautiful night
as we are gearing up
to begin the first annual human hunt.
We are incredibly excited
to see the citizens
of our great city of Beartopia
display their civic pride
and commitment to the
safety of all bearkind.
Now tell me, how did you
prepare for the hunt this year?
- Well, you know, to prepare,
you've gotta like, you know,
you gotta go shopping,
you gotta do a little
of the graham crampers, crackers.
You gotta get a little bit of the honey.
You gotta smother that around
and then pretty much just,
you know, go straight into it.
And I gotta carb up sometimes, you know?
- Absolutely.
Now the graham crackers
and honey, is that for you
or are you using that for bait?
- (chuckles) Yeah.
That's a trade secret,
if you know what I mean?
- I do, I do.
- That's why the count's
so high sometimes you know?
- You see that?
There's something under there.
- Under where?
- Shh.
- See, Delroy's gonna
be sad he missed out.
This is where the real hunting starts.
(suspenseful music)
You gotta be more excited.
You see that?
Juice box.
It means we're close.
It means we're very, very close.
- Well, I bet the mom's around.
She never leaves her cubs.
- I will take the little one first.
(ominous music)
- You've got to take care of him.
You know how to keep him safe, okay, baby?
You've gotta to, okay?
Please precious, I love so much.
And mommy will always,
always be watching, okay?
I'm gonna distract them away.
Keep going.
I love you guys so much.
- Could you open it up now?
- Okay.
(ominous music)
(Femur speaks in foreign language)
(energetic music)
The girls with their nails done
(energetic music continues)
- Hey, guys, it's Carebear.
And you know, like tonight
we're hunting and whatever
and you know, I'm gonna try
to film it all for you guys
'cause I love you guys
so, so, so, so much,
and I want you guys to be
on this journey with me.
But of course my phone is about to die
and somebody forgot to bring
my portable charger and my charging cord.
So even if I were to find
a power outlet in one
of these houses, you know I
can't even plug my phone in.
Maybe...
What? (gasps)
- Who's there?
Who is it?
(singer singing in foreign language)
(upbeat music)
- [Mayor] Two? Those two.
Those two.
- [Cubby] Ugh.
- So that brings the kill count to 12.
Just stop that nonsense.
- You know how expensive these pants are?
- Embrace your animal side. Come on.
- Got bugs all over my fur.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We'll call Delroy, have
him drag those corpses.
- Are you okay?
- I'm fine, I'm fine.
- I mean you can't even
walk over the walk over.
- I'll be fine. I'll be fine.
- You have a-
- I grew up in these woods.
We're fine. Stop, stop, stop there, man.
You're so worried all the time.
Alright, come on.
- You better d-
- I wanna get in. I wanna
go back to the cart.
I wanna go back to the cart, alright?
- Alright.
- [Mayor] I wanna go back to the cart.
- What are you doing?
Get in, get in, you wanna drive, right?
- Oh there's the-
- I don't even know why
I am letting you drive.
- Somebody.
That damn Delroy.
- Is that his name? Delroy?
I thought it was Dipshit?
Huh.
Learned something new every day.
- Get in the car.
- It's our sign for dipshit.
- Get in the car.
Get in the car.
- I can't get in.
Hold this thing here.
Oh.
- This thing is.
- You're making things too difficult.
You know where he got to?
He was here a minute ago.
He's around here somewhere.
Have him get those two bodies.
Tag them, bag them.
So we get the credit
and we're gonna move on.
Alright, we're moving on.
Is this thing good?
- Hold on. My gun is kind of good.
- Nevermind your gun.
- Hold on, hold on.
- With your gun here.
- Can you not put it in drive?
Put it in drive.
- I'm trying to put it in drive.
I'm trying. I can't talk to you.
You're worse than my ex-wife I tell you.
Holy smoke.
- Fire.
- [Cubby] Who is that?
- Oh God.
- [Cubby] Why does he yell like that?
- [Mayor] Because his
parents are first cousins.
- Don't, don't turn around for him.
I guess we have to.
Who's gotta clean up the bodies?
(suspenseful music)
- Leave a message after the beep.
Birdie, I'm so fricking lost.
Where are you?
(suspenseful music continues)
(suspenseful music continues)
- Boys?
I'm gonna take good care of you.
I found you.
- [Aris] Mommy.
(baby crying)
(ominous music)
(baby crying)
Shadows are calling
The curtain is drawn
How far have you fallen
Out in the dark
Live in the violence
Die by the sword
Deep in the fire
That's where darkness is born
Hide from my dreams
(baby crying)
- Where are you going?
Wait, wait, wait.
Shh.
Right past that.
- [Human] No, wait, no, no, no, no.
(gun bangs)
- That felt good.
That's 13.
You know what that means?
Mayor needs a top count,
and I say bag it and tag it.
- Woo.
- I gotta pee.
- You gotta pee?
- Yeah.
- You gotta pee?
- I've gotta pee like sea biscuit.
- Kids?
Kids?
Mommy's back.
Kids, mommy's back.
(gentle music)
(singers hums)
Come on.
Kids?
Kids?
Kids, mommy's back.
Kids? (sobs)
Kids?
(dog barks)
- Oh wow.
Okay, now you wanna respond?
I got no time for you right now.
I'm enjoying myself.
You think I care about you?
I don't.
- I've been holding it for the last hour.
Come on, come on, come on,
'cause you gotta watch.
I need you to be my eyes.
Hold my mask.
- Yeah.
- Gimme, gimme.
- Hold this.
- Just, I gotta go.
Just, I can only hold one bear at a time.
You take that thing, I'll get this thing.
Oh gosh.
- It's kind of an idiot.
- That is better than breakfast in Monaco.
- I don't need a run by run of
what you're doing over there.
- Oh, you don't have to worry about it.
I am just replenishing the aquifer.
Ooh, wow.
- [Cubby] Alright, alright.
- Man, oh man.
- [Cubby] I hear you.
I hear you.
- I could run a hydroponics lab right now.
Oh. (chuckles)
You know what the most
hilarious thing is, Cubby?
- No, sir. What?
- It's that all it took
to get this little town
to commit blood sport was a few speeches
and a couple of I care eyes. (laughs)
We gave them nothing and they
have given us everything.
Now that, that (chuckles) is hilarious.
- You're getting sloppy, Mayor.
- Nah.
- Put this thing.
- Would you just try to
enjoy tonight's show, Cub?
After all, that is what
tonight's for, isn't it?
- I'm enjoying it just fine, alright?
You're just becoming a liability now.
Use this.
Savages.
Use it.
- Ah.
Just speak for yourself.
- Shall we?
Get it. Oh, you are.
Yeah.
- [Cubby] There we go.
- [Mayor] I know.
- You look good.
You are good.
- Ready for my closeup.
- Ready?
- Mr. Demelle. (laughs)
(somber music)
(ominous music)
Waves in the ocean
Moth in the wind
(dog barks)
Snake in the garden
Runs through your head
Rain on the window
Cracks in the snow
Head on a pillow
Sleep in your hole
Take me with you now
Wherever you roam
(dogs barking)
Arms around your shoulder
Wherever you call
Kiss on the lips now
The day's getting colder
Wherever you come down
(dogs barking)
Waves in the ocean
Moth in the wind
Snake in the garden
Runs through your head
Rain on the window
Cracks in the snow
Head on a pillow
Sleep in your hole
(upbeat music)
(fire crackling)
- So (chuckles) what happened, track star?
She outrun you or something?
What happened?
- Dude, she was a damn risk girl, man.
She was just quick, man.
I don't know how fast you can
run, but I thought I was fast.
But she's, man, you gotta
see her. She's a runner.
- You sure it wasn't that
four bratwursts you had
at the mayor's house earlier?
Boy, you know that food slows you down.
- Well, I don't think so.
I mean, I can tell you what.
I haven't really ate much today,
but that doesn't define the gravity.
That girl got some legs on her.
- Ah.
Need to be more like your sister
is what you need to be like.
Look at her.
Look at her.
(intense music)
Playing with a little disgusting human.
Birdie girl, you having fun?
- You know they're not that
bad once you see 'em up close.
They're kind of cute actually.
- [Femur] Little smelly too.
- I like that.
- I don't know.
There's something for the little wrong.
- Did you know that human moms
can hear their babies crying
up to like 70 miles away.
- Femur, that's it.
(suspenseful music)
- Tom?
Tom, Tom, yeah, yeah, it's me.
It's me. It's Kevin.
She's, she's here.
Yeah, she's here in my yard.
The, the human, yeah, with,
with, with my daughter.
Listen, I, I, I don't care
what you're doing, Tom.
Bring them here.
The, the trio, please.
- Yeah.
Oh, thank you so much. Yes.
Hey, guys, I got some great news.
We got her.
- We got her?
- We got her.
It's Kevin.
- Kevin, this Delroy.
Got her?
The prize her outside your house?
(fire crackling)
- Hurry.
- [Delroy] Oh, we're on the way.
We're on the way.
(suspenseful music)
You ready to suit up?
- I don't know, man.
Something really does
not feel right with me.
- Boy, what you talking about?
Poppy's been preparing us for
the hunt since we were kids,
little cubs.
- Man, don't talk about Pop.
Pop wouldn't hunt like this.
That's wrong.
- Excuse me?
This is what it's been all about.
- They're really not
that different from us.
- Look at her.
She's beautiful.
- Yeah, I think, I think I
might have made a mistake.
- You're just gonna sit here.
Do you know what, boy?
I'ma go handle this myself.
This is your big chance.
Oh, boy.
If Pops was here right
now, he'd be beared off.
(suspenseful music)
- [Birdie] Go ahead.
Scream for your mom.
- [Aris] Mommy.
- Femur.
Need big brother to do everything for him.
Well, let's show him what
Bear Ruth looks like.
I know she's dumb to come on in.
I know she smells the blood
because I smell his blood.
(tense music)
(Delroy laughs)
Dumb human.
I'm gonna get me a mama, babe.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm gonna get a mama.
- Kevin?
- What?
- What are you doing?
Go inside.
- What are you doing?
- You shouldn't be here.
- What? Are you trying
to betray your own kind?
- [Kevin] It's not what you think.
- What do you mean it's not what I think?
That's what we're supposed to do.
- Listen, we're not, I'm not here
to help you kill a mother
in front of her own kids.
- But that's what we're
supposed to do, Kevin.
We gotta wipe 'em out.
- No, we don't.
- What do you mean no, we don't?
We don't have a choice, Kevin.
- We always have a choice.
(suspenseful music)
(lively music)
- No. (sobs)
(somber music)
(Humomma crying)
- I'm scared.
- Me too.
- What?
Why are you scared?
Why are you scared?
- Because sometimes...
Sometimes doing the right thing is scary.
But in the morning,
in the morning we can go on because,
'cause we chose something different.
- She didn't get to choose, did she?
She didn't get to choose anything.
We took that away from her.
It's not fair.
It, it's not fair.
- I didn't know, okay?
I'm sorry.
- Don't touch me.
(intense music)
- [Delroy] We don't have a choice, Kevin.
- [Kevin] We always have choice.
(lively music)
(Humomma crying)
- Okay, enough of this sob story.
We got a broadcast to run
and a blood quota to hits.
Time to wrap things up, sweetheart.
Tom Bearclaw, get the live feed running.
Places, everyone.
I want her lit perfectly.
Who wants to take the final shot?
(lively music continues)
- Hey, baby brother,
you wanna do the honors?
- [Delroy] Femur?
- [Birdie] Guess it's my lucky night.
- Looks like it's your
time to shine, sweetheart.
- A moment of unity.
A message sent a threat neutralized.
Here in Beartopia, we celebrate success,
we celebrate unity, we
celebrate a successful hunt.
(gentle music)
- [Narrator] They're mothers, teachers.
They're the sentinels of our forests.
They raise their young with tenderness.
They play for joy.
They stare at sunsets.
They pass on wisdom.
Bears are peaceful, brilliant.
They're mostly vegetarian.
They self-regulate.
They don't take more than they need.
And yet we call them a threat.
But when we destroy the
bear, we destroy the forest.
And when we destroy the
forest, we destroy ourselves.
They're not a menace.
They're a mirror, a gift.
And they are begging us to listen.
Barely breathing, don't let go
Hear the whispers, listen close
I know you've never
strayed from the fold
But that's how freedom begins
Bended knees and broken bones
A bleeding heart never bleeds
- Oh man.
- Now that my friends was an
impressive show of strength.
You have have proven that
you're ready for more.
- More what?
We gonna teach classes or something?
Human management 101.
- I think we've done enough.
- Tomorrow, my office.
This hunt, it wasn't the end.
It was the test.
- Let's just say that
tonight's headlines were good,
but what comes next?
That's legacy.
- Legacy of what?
- The new Beartopia not built on laws.
Built on loyalty.
(glasses clink)
And when we are done,
no one will even remember
what came before.
(everyone cheers)
- Time to party.
You hear that, boy?
Phase two.
Bended knee and broken bones
A bleeding heart never bleeds alone
I am one of many cries
We are far from the ashes
Rise up
Break the cage
Be the lion
Be the storm
Be the strength of the lightning
Rise with the dawn
Raise like the sun
This is what we came for
Revolution
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Rise up
Break the cage
Be the lion
Be the storm
Be the strength of the lightning
Rise with the dawn
Raise like the sun
This is what we came for
Revolution
Rise up
Break the cage
Be the lion
Be the storm
Be the strength of the lightning
Rise with the dawn
Raise like the sun
This is what we came for
Revolution
