I do thank you again
for meeting me, Ms. Jones.
I know this could be a lot.
They were my friends.
I just wanna make sure
someone is looking for them.
Of course we are every day.
So um, you weren't with Sandy, Mia
or Lauren that day?
No, I was at work.
They planned it before one
of their girl reset hikes.
Griffin Trails was their go-to spot.
You know about what time they went out?
Mia texted me around 9:45 that morning.
Said they parked and were heading in.
She sent me a photo of them
by the trail head smiling.
That was the last time I
heard from any of them.
Hmm
Well, what can you tell me
about them as individuals?
Um hmm
Sandy was the quiet one.
Love, nature, hated cities.
Mia was the loud one
always on her phone, spontaneous.
And Lauren was
somewhere in the middle, kind of the glue.
She kept the peace between Mia and Sandy
whenever they clash, which happened a lot.
Now, did any of them ever mention
feeling unsafe on the trails?
No. They'd been there
a dozen times before.
But Mia did mention something
weird the week before.
Weird how
She said that there was someone
that kept parking
behind her apartment
building late at night.
Okay.
Dark. SUV tinted
windows. Never saw who it was.
She just assumed it was
someone visiting the neighbors.
Okay. Did any of the women
talk about seeing anyone
unusual on the hikes?
I mean, Mia mentioned once
during a hike months ago
that there was this guy
that passed them
and then circled back like, like he was
lost or stalling.
She brushed it off, said
maybe he was looking
for a different trail head.
Did she describe him?
Black male,
early thirties athletic build gym bag.
Baseball cap hoodie.
She said he smiled like he
knew them like he was waiting
for them to say something.
Did she say if she talked to him?
He said be safe ladies.
Nothing threatening, but,
but the way he said it, it
gave me a weird feeling like
he was trying too hard to be friendly.
Okay.
(folder closed
Well what do you think happened?
I think, I think someone watched them,
waited for just the right
moment and, and took them all.
Now that's kind of odd for someone to
abduct three people with no struggle.
Don't you think?
Not if they trusted
him even for a second.
Okay. Okay.
Well we are gonna find them
and we won't stop until we do.
Alright.
Please do before someone
else disappears too.
Thanks Ms. Jones.

Lisa
Lisa
Lisa wake up.
What did you do to us?
(boom sound)
(dramatic music)
They laugh like fire in the neon sun
dancing shadows when
the nights become,
but whispers crawl behind their bags.
A sharpened smile in unseen cracks.
Blades of trust.
Trust in the rain
slip off in the glare
of every step.
A careful play in a game
with darkness has its say
girls just wanna run through the night
chasing dreams.
Under dangerous light
but the walls around the praise begun
Bitter truth
Where trust weighs none
Our client wants a complete
rebrand by next quarter
That meets fresh concepts,
aggressive marketing,
and no room for errors.
Katrina, where are we
with the presentation?
I finalized the visuals
and data projections.
I'll have the pitch that
published by Friday.
I still think we should
take a more edgy approach.
Traditional branding feels safe,
but safe doesn't sell anymore.
What's your take?
Edgy works for certain demographics,
but our client values trust and longevity.
A drastic shift might alienate them.
Fine. Stick with Katrina's approach.
But I wanna back up concept
something riskier just in case.
Alright, meeting adjourned.
I don't know how you
see it so calm in there.
You'll get used to it.
Hmm
(uptempo music)
Ohhh
oh
oh ohhh
Oh ohhh
She walks in like a thunder clap.
All eyes
On her as the heels tap
Her crown is high.
Her spirit's wild.
She's untamed. Fierce.
No reconcile. Bow down
to the power she holds
Her story's fire
worth more
than gold.
She commands the storm
and rides the light
A blazing star
that sparks the night.
Ohhh oh
Ohhh
Oh
Hey guys, what's up?
It's your girl, Lisa, live
and glowing on your feed.
We are 2 million strong,
y'all. Okay? 2 million.
(birds chirping)
Okay. First of all, I just
wanna say thank you for riding
with me since the beginning, okay?
From that tiny dorm room
to this fly ass condo,
to these crazy mountain views.
If it wasn't for y'all,
there would be no me.
And that's real. So I just
wanna say thank you.
Alright. Alright. I know
y'all been asking. I know.
Lisa, what's the big news?
Lisa, where you been?
Lisa, are you really going
into the Woods? Yes girl.
I am going on this hiking trip
with my college bestie Katrina.
Now y'all already know I am
not the wilderness type. Okay.
Bugs, dirt, no WiFi.
(ugh)
Like your girl needs a
signal to survive. Okay?
But it's a bonding thing.
We haven't seen each other
in years and I miss her.
So we are taking off the
lashes, packing up the bug spray
and praying to the skincare.
Gods, I come back in one piece.
Also, big brand news dropping next week.
Just know your girl is leveling up.
(chuckle)
No, no, not switching up.
Just leveling up. Okay?
We, you know, we stay real
over here, okay? We stay real.
Alright, Alright.
I have to go and prep for
this deal meeting. Okay?
Y'all already know your girl is about
to negotiate like a queen.
So please remember, stay
real, stay loud and stay fly.
Alright, bye.
(uptempo gentle music)
Haaa Haaa
Haaa
Haaa Haaa
Haaa Haaa
Haaa Haaa
ooohh
Welcome to Jimmie's. I've
got some complimentary
goals to get you started.
I'll give you a second
to look over the menu
and I'll come back to take your order.
Thank you. I appreciated that.
I was starting to think
that you would bail on me.
I told you I'd come. Yes,
but you're always way too busy
being a responsible adult.
Feel the bass as it climbs so high.
Welcome ladies. Would you
like a glass of our house wine?
Yes. And keep it coming.
You're Untouchable
alive
And wild
Do you already know
what you'd like or do you
need a minute to look over the menu?
I think we know what, like I will
have the chicken Alfredo.
I'll take the chicken Alfredo
As well.
But please make it spicy.
- Okay? It'll be all shortly.
- Thank
You.
Mmm
Yes.
The skylines calling
mmm
Heaven
- Slow
- Down, Lisa.
I can't. It's too good.
I can see that. So tell me,
how's the influencer
life been treating you?
Lisa, finally,
Brandon,
I've been chasing your
agent for two months.
Well, good things come
to those who wait, so
what have you got that's worth the wait?
A full package partnership,
exclusive content.
A branded beauty line.
Organic skincare, of course.
And a podcast co-hosted by a celeb.
You actually posted about
and six figures to start.
Okay, well, looks shiny.
But here's the thing.
I don't do sellout energy.
My followers have been with
me since the beginning.
They know the real me. I post
what I love and what I use.
Now, if I lose that authentic
energy, I lose everything.
And that's exactly why we want you.
You're not just an influencer,
you're a brand with values.
We'll keep your creative
freedom intact with
full say on campaigns, voiceovers,
aesthetics, everything.
Well, now you're speaking my language,
but I need creative control in writing
and a team of my choice.
I don't do assigned photographers.
Done. You'll have
final cut on everything.
All right, let's make this happen.
- Let's do it.
- I've got a hiking trip to survive
and a future to build.
(slams pen)
You know, brands pay me to
travel, eat, wear cute stuff.
So I can't complain.
That sounds exhausting.
Says the woman that lives in a cubicle.
Well, at least I have job
security. And yet you're stressed.
24-7. When was the last
time you did something fun?
There was that function
last week with my coworkers.
We made copies. Well, shit, we can't
All live a life like you.
That's exactly why we're
going on this hiking trip.
You're really serious about
this. Yes. Duh. Come on.
Just you, me. Nature. No
emails, no deadlines. Okay.
Nature. And I have a
complicated relationship.
Come on.
We used to hike all the time in college.
Alright, this will
be good. We need this.
Both of us need this.
The
night flows fast.
Fine.
One weekend.
Let's toast to it. Okay.
To adventure.
I guess
(glasses tap)
And every second
Here you go.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Enjoy your meal.
Woke to the whisper
Of pine in the breeze
Laced up my boots.
Kissed the city. Goodbye please.
Trail stretching. Onward.
Like a story untold.
I'm chasing new skies
where my heart will unfold.
Breathe it in let the
wild take my care.
Each step of rhythm.
A song in the air
Branches a sway
A Choir above
Hiking these woods
Is a dance that I love.
(gentle beat)
So tell me about that
big fancy job of yours.
Yeah, it stressed me out.
That's why I guess it's not bad.
I came out, see, see
the birds and the trees.
See, I told you you needed
This, but I get it.
Influencing can be a little
stressful too sometimes.
So it's nice today I
take a little breather
and just be with my friends.
(birds chirping)
I just can't believe you came.
I mean, oh, and you got this
wildlife glowy thing going on.
Love it.
Don't jinx it.
Well, you'll be fine.
I think if we go up just a little bit
and make a big circle, we
can come right back down.
Easy, right?
Okay. And
then we can get lunch after.
Ooh, yes.
On you.
Uhh, I didn't say all that.
(chuckle)
Well. I had to try.
(birds chirping)
(cracking sound)
Umph
Ahhh
Well, that wasn't part of
the plan, honey.
I'm fine.
Are you okay?
I got it
Fine.
Okay.
Well we're kind of in the
middle of nowhere right now.
It's just spray. I should
be fine. I can walk it off.
Alright. This is why I should
have been the cautious one.
Tell me about it.
Oh,
Hi there. I'm Eddie.
Hi Eddie. I am Lisa.
Nice to meet you.
Katrina.
Need a hand or should I just stand back
and watch you limp around
like an injured deer?
I'm fine.
Sure, sure.
You're just taking a little
forest nap. No big deal.
You know I've got a solid
track record when it comes
to sprained ankles mostly
and helping people get back on their feet.
Literally. I've even got
some first aid supplies
if you're into that kind of thing.
Look, I'm no doctor,
but I can promise you I'm
a lot more useful than
that rock you're heading towards.
Plus, I've been
through this whole sprained
ankle thing myself.
I'm practically a pro.
Come on. There's no
help around for miles
and I can't carry you down the mountain.
Like I said, he's kind of cute.
You should take him up on it.
I don't know.
I can't
Carry you.
Fine. Help me up, Eddie.
But if you keep making dear jokes,
I'll leave you standing there.
Deal. But I gotta warn you, I got a lot
of jokes about limps.
I'll get you to my place.
It's just a short walk.
Don't worry. I've got the
best couch for sprained ankles.
I'll get you back on track. Literally
(uptempo gentle beat)
The lights are low the air is sweet
Your silhouette makes my soul
right this way.
Ladies, welcome. Careful
Careful watch the ankle's.
There you go. And you're
going right this way, right
Nice place.
Thank you. Thank you.
My ankle's almost broke.
There you go. Almost.
There you go.
Yeah. Oh, careful.
Be careful. Here we go.
Alright, here we go. Take a seat. Relax.
You ladies. Look like you've
been through a war zone.
And trust me, I get it.
Nature can be brutal.
Yeah, we're not really built
for this whole wilderness thing.
Well, I'd offer you
some fancy outdoor remedy,
but I'm guessing you
prefer something a bit
less rustic.
(chuckling)
(uptempo gentle beat)
(boom sound)
(door opens)
(bag rattling)
(door shuts)
(Squeaky sound)
(phone rings
Hey chief. Yeah, man.
I was gonna give you a call
a little later, right? Yeah.
I saw the files that you
left on my desk yesterday
about the three women that
disappeared from Griffith Trails.
Yeah, man. Well, I went through the files
and I see that you guys
believe that this is connected
to some type of Colombian gang
that's connected to some type
of sex trafficking ring outta Russia.
Okay? But my thing is this,
Griffith Trails is one
of the most busiest parks
in California, right?
So if women were being snatched
up, thrown into a white van
and then driven off, somebody
would've called that in.
There would've been photos
popping up, videos online,
everything, right?
I mean, because that park
has kids, people just walking
around, just, you get what I'm saying?
It's just a busy park.
So there's no way that some
gang is snatching women up
and throwing 'em into
a van and driving off.
Impossible. So what I believe, I believe
that this is one guy.
One guy, and he's not forcing these women.
He's sweet talking, he's charming them.
He's getting them back to his place,
and then they just vanish
never to be seen again.
That's my theory. Now,
hey, I could be wrong,
but chief, trust me on this one.
Trust me, it's one guy now
who this guy is.
I guess that's something
we gotta figure out.
(boom sound)
Okay? Okay. Yes. We're
in the same wavelength.
So do you guys normally take that at
that hiking trail I saw you guys at?
No, it was our first time.
Probably our last
Oh, last.
Really? I mean, it's
a, it is a nice trail.
You guys should go
there more often, right?
Alright ladies,
Here we go.
Drink up. You'll feel better in no time.
Thanks. I could use a strong one.
Umm
Feel free to flip through the channels.
I have cable streaming, whatever you want.
I'll take a look. Thanks.
You ladies hungry. I
can whip something up.
Umm
How about a smothered? Deer
meat, I've got a fresh batch.
I've been slow cooking all day.
Smothered. Deer meat..
I know it's not the most common dish,
but it's a family recipe.
Trust me, it's good.
Umm
Thanks. Just the drinks. Yeah,
No food.
Got it. No one turns on my deer meat,
but I'll respect the request.
You know, you ladies are pretty brave.
Most people wouldn't trust a guy
that he's met in the middle of nowhere.
But you did.
You don't look like the type of guy
that would cause trouble.
Oh, I'm the opposite of trouble.
Trouble's just a bad habit, right?
Oh, I don't know.
Trouble's. Kind of fun.
Oh, well if trouble's your thing,
I think we can find some adventure here.
Okay, Eddie, don't
throw me with a good time.
(suspenseful music)
Just a little longer.
I am starting to feel a little off.
Yeah, you didn't tell us
how strong these drinks were.
You both seem like
you're having a good time.
What did you do to us?
Umm
I just gave you a little something
to make you feel more comfortable.
Relax, Katrina. You've had a long day.
I'm starting to feel kind of
Floaty.
Well, that's the thing with adventure.
It doesn't always follow the
rules. I'm not a bad guy.
Katrina. Really? Just little hospitality.
Relax, take a rest.
Everything's under control.
What are you gonna do to us?
What am I gonna do?
I'm gonna help you guys. Relax.
Katrina, where are we
with the presentation?
I finalized the visuals
and data projections.
I'll have the pitch deck
published by Friday.
I still think we should
take a more edgy approach.
Traditional branding feels safe,

Edgy works for certain demographics,
but our client values,
trust and longevity.
A drastic shift might alienate them.
Fine. Stick with Katrina's approach.
But I want a backup concept.
Something riskier just in
case, alright meeting adjourned.
I don't know how you stayed so calmly.
You'll get used to it.
(boom sound)
(suspenseful music)
(dramatic music)
Jacobs, we definitely need to talk.
Well, it must be pretty important
'cause no one ever meets me down here.
It's more than important.
Another hiker came
forward early this morning.
New witness
Said a day ago.
She saw a black male early to mid thirties
helping two female hikers off a trail.
And Griffith, one of them look
like she twisted her ankle.
Did we get a description?
Black T-shirt, gray backpack, blue jeans,
average height fit built matches.
The description that Lisa Barnes gave me
a day ago, and now we're
just hearing about this.
She didn't think anything was wrong.
Said he seemed like a
nice guy. Real charming.
Said the woman even laughed
at something. He said
Laughing while sizing them up.
Yeah, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Hmm. Yeah.
Any name, license, plates, anything?
No, no car.
Just that he carried himself
real casual, confident.
A few days ago I got a call from Officer
Malone and he had a hunch.
Got me really thinking.
We've been looking in the wrong
direction the entire time.
Thinking of some sort of
Columbia gang involved
in sex trafficking.
That's why we landed at a dead end.
It's only one guy that's
doing this, not a crew.
Hmm
This case is starting
to make more sense now.
Total of three women missing
with a possibility of two more.
Same area, no bodies, no ransom notes.
This guys a fucking mastermind.
It's like we chasing a fucking ghost.
Not if we smoke 'em out.
(chuckles)
How?
Plain clothes,
weekends cover the trails.
Hikers, runners, couples blend in
Eyes everywhere.
Well, chief, it's not that simple.
This guy, a see us coming, then
he'll go dormant for years.
For these ladies sake. I sure hope not.
'Cause that's gonna give his entire
case to a screeching halt.
- Hmm.
- This guy is 10 times smarter than the
zodiac killer ever was.
True. But
Eventually he'll get too comfortable
and sloppy just like the rest of them.
That's when we'll nail his ass.
Yeah. Well, the thing about that,
if he leaves Los Angeles
and go to a new city
and start a new life, he'll just be a
born against serial killer.
Well, Jacobs, it's
just the facts of life.
You can go fishing all day,
but it doesn't guarantee
you'll catch a damn thing.
But if I hear anything
else, I'll let you know.
Thank you. Thank you, chief.
(suspenseful music)
I told you you'll be fine, but
you didn't listen.
What did you do to us?
It's just a little nap Katrina,
nothing to worry about.
I told you this was
about relaxation, right?
And trust me, it's all gonna be fine.
But the thing is, Katrina, some people
just need a little more
time to relax than others.
We didn't do anything to you. You
Freak.
You didn't do anything
wrong. You just trusted me.
That's all.
You're fucking sick.
The thing is, Katrina,
once people trust you,
they let their guards down
and that's when the real fun starts.
Sick fuck.
(boom sound)
Hey guys, what's up?
It's your girl, Lisa, live
and glowing on your feed.
We are 2 million strong,
y'all. Okay? 2 million.
She commands the storm

(boom sound)
Mmm
Katrina. What's going on?
Oh, to get up, you're awake.
Oh, we're just having a little
chat. Nothing to worry about.
(suspenseful music)
You know, I have to admit,
you two are different than I thought.
I expected a little more
resistance. You know what they say?
Trust is a fragile thing.
And you two are gonna have to trust me
or things are gonna get messy.
You're both so strong
but not strong enough.
Now that's more like it.
Oh, you think that's
gonna stop me, a gun?
Really?
- You're fucking
- Insane.
You've got guts, Katrina.
I'll give you that but
you should know. I'm not
Afraid of you.
Don't take another step.
You think you're the first one
to think they have power over me.
I have a lot more up my sleeve
than just physical force.
Katrina don't
Come on Lisa. It's the only way out.
See Katrina you'll always hesitate.
'Cause you'll always worry about her.
Just stay calm. We'll figure
this out. How Lisa?
- No heroes here. Katrina, not
- Tonight.
(gunshot)
(uptempo gentle beat)
Hm.
(phone rings)
Hm. Melissa. Hey Melissa. What's up?
Yeah, well, you know where I'm at.
Same place I'm at every night. Yeah.
Still working on this case.
Right now we are at a dead end.
Only thing we know. Black
shirt, gray backpack,
and some blue jeans.
That's it. No plates,
no car, nothing else.
But I promise you this,
once this case is over,
I'm taking a super long vacation.
I'm talking about, I don't
want to see this office
for at least two weeks.
Hmm. Yeah.
And I know you feel like
I've been neglecting you lately,
but I promise you I haven't.
It's just this case, you know?
It's like the whole office
is flipped upside down.
The chief is up. Everybody's
ass about finding this guy.
But like I said, we're at a dead end.
So what you been up to? Yeah.
Thinking about me? I
bet. Well, you know what?
What are you doing Friday night? Perfect.
So let's say around eight
o'clock I come pick you up,
we go out to your favorite restaurant
and then from there we catch a movie
and then we got hit the park.
You know, hold hands, be very romantic,
you know, and just reminisce
over good times how about that.
(chuckles)
What comes after?
I mean, we can go back
to my place or your place.
I can give you a good massage
and you know, we'll see
what else happens, right?
Yeah. Oh yeah.
But that's pretty much how
my life's been going lately.
Anything new in your life?
Hmm
Yeah.
(email notification)
Wait a minute.
Oh, what is this?
Hey Melissa, I'm gonna give
you a call back, okay? Yeah.
Something just came across my desk that I
definitely gotta take care of.
Alright? But I promise
I'll give you a call back.
What? In the hell?
Is this. This is him.
Ahh
Thank you God, it's him.
(phone rings)
Hey Chief, I got the same email.
Mmm hmm
It's our guy. It is our guy.
What shooting? Wait,
what apartments Chief.
Those apartments are
not far from the trail.
You think it's him?
I'm gonna head over there now.
Okay? Alright. Yeah. I'll
keep you posted. All right.
(boom sound)
Ayee
Oh,
(suspenseful music)
You actually shot me.
You dirty bitch. I can't
Believe it.
You actually grew a conscience.
Awe
Okay, I'll get you. Oh, it's not over yet.
You think you can just leave?
Ah, I'm down right now.
I'm not out.
Come on Lisa
Yeah, You think you can just
leave? Get back here.
Awe
- I'm coming for you.
- Get back here.
You think you can get away from me?
That ain't happening.
Awe
(suspenseful music)
(gunshot)
Lisa
Lisa
Lisa
Lisa
(door opens)
Help me. Please, please. The
man he's shot my friend.
He's still there. He's armed and
he's dangerous.
Okay, ma'am?
He tried to shoot me.
Okay. He got my friend,
Ma'am.
- Staying calm.
- Okay, check it out. But stay here. Okay.
Stay here.
(boom sound)
So tell me about that
big fancy job of yours.
Yeah, it's stressing me out.
That's why I guess it's not bad.
I came out. See, you see
the birds and the trees.
See, I told you you
needed this, but I get it.
Influencing can be a little
stressful too sometimes.
So it's nice to take a little breather
and just be with my friends.
(birds chirping)
I just can't believe you came.
I mean, oh, and you got this
wildlife glowy thing going on.
Love it.
Don't jinx it.
Well, you'll be fine.
I think if we go up just a little bit
and make a big circle,
we can come right back down. Easy, right?
Okay. And then we can
get lunch after. Ooh,
Yes.
- On you.
- I didn't say all that
(chuckles)
Well.
I had to try.
(birds chirping)
(cracking sound)
Oh,
Ugh
that wasn't part of the plan, honey.
I'm fine.
Oh, no are you okay?
I got it.
Fine.
Okay.
Well, we're kind
of in the middle of nowhere right now.
Ugh.
It's just a sprain. I should
be fine. I can walk it off.
Alright. This is why I should
have been the cautious one.
Tell me about it.
Oh,
hi there. I'm Eddie.
(boom sound)
(phone rings)
Hello. This is Katrina. Huh?
Huh?
I can see you now
Hello?
Huh?
I'm so close to you
Wait what?
(phone slams)
(gagging and choking sounds)
(trash bag rattling)
(punching sounds)
(coughing and choking sounds)
(uptempo beat)
Hi. Excuse me.
Hi. Hello. Excuse me. Excuse me. Hi.
Yeah, hi. Umm You've been on
the machine for a while now
and I've been waiting for like 15 minutes.
I don't wanna be rude,
but it's the only chance
person between in the gym
and it's, you know, I
have other things to do.
Day.
No worries. You're totally right.
I guess I was just lost in the zone.
Hmm
Right?
All yours.
Right. Thanks. Appreciate it
(suspenseful music)
(Bam)
(woman screams)
They say the woods are peaceful.
A place to disconnect, to heal,
to escape the noise of the world.
But sometimes people go into
the forest and never come out.
Every year, thousands
of hikers vanished without
a trace in national parks
and wilderness trails across the country.
No footprints, no calls
for help. Just silence.
In 1981,
14-year-old Katherine Van Alst
wandered off while hiking
with her family in Arkansas.
When she was found six days later,
miles from where she
disappeared, she was calm,
distant, wearing no shoes.
When asked what happened, she
simply said, I don't know.
Then there's Kenny Veach, a seasoned hiker
and adventurer who set out
into the Nevada desert in 2014
to find a mysterious cave.
He claimed made his body
vibrate. He never returned.
Only his cell phone was found lying
by an abandoned mine shaft.
And in 2021, Justin Richardson,
an experienced backpacker
went hiking alone in the
forest of northern California,
he text his girlfriend a photo
of the summit then vanished.
No body, no gear,
nothing but not all.
Disappearances are accidents.
Some trails are marked in blood.
Campers have stumbled
across shallow graves,
hikers found buried by rocks.
Victim stripped of their gear
and left to rot beneath the pines.
Sometimes the forest doesn't
take you someone in it does.
No suspects, no convictions.
Just the growing legend of trails.
You should never walk alone.
These woods remember everything,
every scream, every secret.
And once you're deep enough
in, they decide who comes out.
(boom sound)
(dramatic music)
(suspenseful music)
(water splashing)
(knife tapping)
(water splashing)
(water splashing)
(knife tapping)
(water splashing)
I do thank you again
for meeting me, Ms. Jones.
I know this could be a lot.
They were my friends.
I just wanna make sure
someone is looking for them.
Of course we are every day.
So um, you weren't with Sandy, Mia
or Lauren that day?
No, I was at work.
They planned it before one
of their girl reset hikes.
Griffin Trails was their go-to spot.
You know about what time they went out?
Mia texted me around 9:45 that morning.
Said they parked and were heading in.
She sent me a photo of them
by the trail head smiling.
That was the last time I
heard from any of them.
Hmm
Well, what can you tell me
about them as individuals?
Um hmm
Sandy was the quiet one.
Love, nature, hated cities.
Mia was the loud one
always on her phone, spontaneous.
And Lauren was
somewhere in the middle, kind of the glue.
She kept the peace between Mia and Sandy
whenever they clash, which happened a lot.
Now, did any of them ever mention
feeling unsafe on the trails?
No. They'd been there
a dozen times before.
But Mia did mention something
weird the week before.
Weird how
She said that there was someone
that kept parking
behind her apartment
building late at night.
Okay.
Dark. SUV tinted
windows. Never saw who it was.
She just assumed it was
someone visiting the neighbors.
Okay. Did any of the women
talk about seeing anyone
unusual on the hikes?
I mean, Mia mentioned once
during a hike months ago
that there was this guy
that passed them
and then circled back like, like he was
lost or stalling.
She brushed it off, said
maybe he was looking
for a different trail head.
Did she describe him?
Black male,
early thirties athletic build gym bag.
Baseball cap hoodie.
She said he smiled like he
knew them like he was waiting
for them to say something.
Did she say if she talked to him?
He said be safe ladies.
Nothing threatening, but,
but the way he said it, it
gave me a weird feeling like
he was trying too hard to be friendly.
Okay.
(folder closed
Well what do you think happened?
I think, I think someone watched them,
waited for just the right
moment and, and took them all.
Now that's kind of odd for someone to
abduct three people with no struggle.
Don't you think?
Not if they trusted
him even for a second.
Okay. Okay.
Well we are gonna find them
and we won't stop until we do.
Alright.
Please do before someone
else disappears too.
Thanks Ms. Jones.
(boom sound)
(suspenseful music)
(boom sound)
Lisa
Lisa
Lisa wake up.
What did you do to us?
(boom sound)
(dramatic music)
They laugh like fire in the neon sun
dancing shadows when
the nights become,
but whispers crawl behind their bags.
A sharpened smile in unseen cracks.
Blades of trust.
Trust in the rain
slip off in the glare
of every step.
A careful play in a game
with darkness has its say
girls just wanna run through the night
chasing dreams.
Under dangerous light
but the walls around the praise begun
Bitter truth
Where trust weighs none
Our client wants a complete
rebrand by next quarter
That meets fresh concepts,
aggressive marketing,
and no room for errors.
Katrina, where are we
with the presentation?
I finalized the visuals
and data projections.
I'll have the pitch that
published by Friday.
I still think we should
take a more edgy approach.
Traditional branding feels safe,
but safe doesn't sell anymore.
What's your take?
Edgy works for certain demographics,
but our client values trust and longevity.
A drastic shift might alienate them.
Fine. Stick with Katrina's approach.
But I wanna back up concept
something riskier just in case.
Alright, meeting adjourned.
I don't know how you
see it so calm in there.
You'll get used to it.
Hmm
(uptempo music)
Ohhh
oh
oh ohhh
Oh ohhh
She walks in like a thunder clap.
All eyes
On her as the heels tap
Her crown is high.
Her spirit's wild.
She's untamed. Fierce.
No reconcile. Bow down
to the power she holds
Her story's fire
worth more
than gold.
She commands the storm
and rides the light
A blazing star
that sparks the night.
Ohhh oh
Ohhh
Oh
Hey guys, what's up?
It's your girl, Lisa, live
and glowing on your feed.
We are 2 million strong,
y'all. Okay? 2 million.
(birds chirping)
Okay. First of all, I just
wanna say thank you for riding
with me since the beginning, okay?
From that tiny dorm room
to this fly ass condo,
to these crazy mountain views.
If it wasn't for y'all,
there would be no me.
And that's real. So I just
wanna say thank you.
Alright. Alright. I know
y'all been asking. I know.
Lisa, what's the big news?
Lisa, where you been?
Lisa, are you really going
into the Woods? Yes girl.
I am going on this hiking trip
with my college bestie Katrina.
Now y'all already know I am
not the wilderness type. Okay.
Bugs, dirt, no WiFi.
(ugh)
Like your girl needs a
signal to survive. Okay?
But it's a bonding thing.
We haven't seen each other
in years and I miss her.
So we are taking off the
lashes, packing up the bug spray
and praying to the skincare.
Gods, I come back in one piece.
Also, big brand news dropping next week.
Just know your girl is leveling up.
(chuckle)
No, no, not switching up.
Just leveling up. Okay?
We, you know, we stay real
over here, okay? We stay real.
Alright, Alright.
I have to go and prep for
this deal meeting. Okay?
Y'all already know your girl is about
to negotiate like a queen.
So please remember, stay
real, stay loud and stay fly.
Alright, bye.
(uptempo gentle music)
Haaa Haaa
Haaa
Haaa Haaa
Haaa Haaa
Haaa Haaa
ooohh
Welcome to Jimmie's. I've
got some complimentary
goals to get you started.
I'll give you a second
to look over the menu
and I'll come back to take your order.
Thank you. I appreciated that.
I was starting to think
that you would bail on me.
I told you I'd come. Yes,
but you're always way too busy
being a responsible adult.
Feel the bass as it climbs so high.
Welcome ladies. Would you
like a glass of our house wine?
Yes. And keep it coming.
You're Untouchable
alive
And wild
Do you already know
what you'd like or do you
need a minute to look over the menu?
I think we know what, like I will
have the chicken Alfredo.
I'll take the chicken Alfredo
As well.
But please make it spicy.
- Okay? It'll be all shortly.
- Thank
You.
Mmm
Yes.
The skylines calling
mmm
Heaven
- Slow
- Down, Lisa.
I can't. It's too good.
I can see that. So tell me,
how's the influencer
life been treating you?
Lisa, finally,
Brandon,
I've been chasing your
agent for two months.
Well, good things come
to those who wait, so
what have you got that's worth the wait?
A full package partnership,
exclusive content.
A branded beauty line.
Organic skincare, of course.
And a podcast co-hosted by a celeb.
You actually posted about
and six figures to start.
Okay, well, looks shiny.
But here's the thing.
I don't do sellout energy.
My followers have been with
me since the beginning.
They know the real me. I post
what I love and what I use.
Now, if I lose that authentic
energy, I lose everything.
And that's exactly why we want you.
You're not just an influencer,
you're a brand with values.
We'll keep your creative
freedom intact with
full say on campaigns, voiceovers,
aesthetics, everything.
Well, now you're speaking my language,
but I need creative control in writing
and a team of my choice.
I don't do assigned photographers.
Done. You'll have
final cut on everything.
All right, let's make this happen.
- Let's do it.
- I've got a hiking trip to survive
and a future to build.
(slams pen)
You know, brands pay me to
travel, eat, wear cute stuff.
So I can't complain.
That sounds exhausting.
Says the woman that lives in a cubicle.
Well, at least I have job
security. And yet you're stressed.
24-7. When was the last
time you did something fun?
There was that function
last week with my coworkers.
We made copies. Well, shit, we can't
All live a life like you.
That's exactly why we're
going on this hiking trip.
You're really serious about
this. Yes. Duh. Come on.
Just you, me. Nature. No
emails, no deadlines. Okay.
Nature. And I have a
complicated relationship.
Come on.
We used to hike all the time in college.
Alright, this will
be good. We need this.
Both of us need this.
The
night flows fast.
Fine.
One weekend.
Let's toast to it. Okay.
To adventure.
I guess
(glasses tap)
And every second
Here you go.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Enjoy your meal.
Woke to the whisper
Of pine in the breeze
Laced up my boots.
Kissed the city. Goodbye please.
Trail stretching. Onward.
Like a story untold.
I'm chasing new skies
where my heart will unfold.
Breathe it in let the
wild take my care.
Each step of rhythm.
A song in the air
Branches a sway
A Choir above
Hiking these woods
Is a dance that I love.
(gentle beat)
So tell me about that
big fancy job of yours.
Yeah, it stressed me out.
That's why I guess it's not bad.
I came out, see, see
the birds and the trees.
See, I told you you needed
This, but I get it.
Influencing can be a little
stressful too sometimes.
So it's nice today I
take a little breather
and just be with my friends.
(birds chirping)
I just can't believe you came.
I mean, oh, and you got this
wildlife glowy thing going on.
Love it.
Don't jinx it.
Well, you'll be fine.
I think if we go up just a little bit
and make a big circle, we
can come right back down.
Easy, right?
Okay. And
then we can get lunch after.
Ooh, yes.
On you.
Uhh, I didn't say all that.
(chuckle)
Well. I had to try.
(birds chirping)
(cracking sound)
Umph
Ahhh
Well, that wasn't part of
the plan, honey.
I'm fine.
Are you okay?
I got it
Fine.
Okay.
Well we're kind of in the
middle of nowhere right now.
It's just spray. I should
be fine. I can walk it off.
Alright. This is why I should
have been the cautious one.
Tell me about it.
Oh,
Hi there. I'm Eddie.
Hi Eddie. I am Lisa.
Nice to meet you.
Katrina.
Need a hand or should I just stand back
and watch you limp around
like an injured deer?
I'm fine.
Sure, sure.
You're just taking a little
forest nap. No big deal.
You know I've got a solid
track record when it comes
to sprained ankles mostly
and helping people get back on their feet.
Literally. I've even got
some first aid supplies
if you're into that kind of thing.
Look, I'm no doctor,
but I can promise you I'm
a lot more useful than
that rock you're heading towards.
Plus, I've been
through this whole sprained
ankle thing myself.
I'm practically a pro.
Come on. There's no
help around for miles
and I can't carry you down the mountain.
Like I said, he's kind of cute.
You should take him up on it.
I don't know.
I can't
Carry you.
Fine. Help me up, Eddie.
But if you keep making dear jokes,
I'll leave you standing there.
Deal. But I gotta warn you, I got a lot
of jokes about limps.
I'll get you to my place.
It's just a short walk.
Don't worry. I've got the
best couch for sprained ankles.
I'll get you back on track. Literally
(uptempo gentle beat)
The lights are low the air is sweet
Your silhouette makes my soul
right this way.
Ladies, welcome. Careful
Careful watch the ankle's.
There you go. And you're
going right this way, right
Nice place.
Thank you. Thank you.
My ankle's almost broke.
There you go. Almost.
There you go.
Yeah. Oh, careful.
Be careful. Here we go.
Alright, here we go. Take a seat. Relax.
You ladies. Look like you've
been through a war zone.
And trust me, I get it.
Nature can be brutal.
Yeah, we're not really built
for this whole wilderness thing.
Well, I'd offer you
some fancy outdoor remedy,
but I'm guessing you
prefer something a bit
less rustic.
(chuckling)
(uptempo gentle beat)
(boom sound)
(door opens)
(bag rattling)
(door shuts)
(Squeaky sound)
(phone rings
Hey chief. Yeah, man.
I was gonna give you a call
a little later, right? Yeah.
I saw the files that you
left on my desk yesterday
about the three women that
disappeared from Griffith Trails.
Yeah, man. Well, I went through the files
and I see that you guys
believe that this is connected
to some type of Colombian gang
that's connected to some type
of sex trafficking ring outta Russia.
Okay? But my thing is this,
Griffith Trails is one
of the most busiest parks
in California, right?
So if women were being snatched
up, thrown into a white van
and then driven off, somebody
would've called that in.
There would've been photos
popping up, videos online,
everything, right?
I mean, because that park
has kids, people just walking
around, just, you get what I'm saying?
It's just a busy park.
So there's no way that some
gang is snatching women up
and throwing 'em into
a van and driving off.
Impossible. So what I believe, I believe
that this is one guy.
One guy, and he's not forcing these women.
He's sweet talking, he's charming them.
He's getting them back to his place,
and then they just vanish
never to be seen again.
That's my theory. Now,
hey, I could be wrong,
but chief, trust me on this one.
Trust me, it's one guy now
who this guy is.
I guess that's something
we gotta figure out.
(boom sound)
Okay? Okay. Yes. We're
in the same wavelength.
So do you guys normally take that at
that hiking trail I saw you guys at?
No, it was our first time.
Probably our last
Oh, last.
Really? I mean, it's
a, it is a nice trail.
You guys should go
there more often, right?
Alright ladies,
Here we go.
Drink up. You'll feel better in no time.
Thanks. I could use a strong one.
Umm
Feel free to flip through the channels.
I have cable streaming, whatever you want.
I'll take a look. Thanks.
You ladies hungry. I
can whip something up.
Umm
How about a smothered? Deer
meat, I've got a fresh batch.
I've been slow cooking all day.
Smothered. Deer meat..
I know it's not the most common dish,
but it's a family recipe.
Trust me, it's good.
Umm
Thanks. Just the drinks. Yeah,
No food.
Got it. No one turns on my deer meat,
but I'll respect the request.
You know, you ladies are pretty brave.
Most people wouldn't trust a guy
that he's met in the middle of nowhere.
But you did.
You don't look like the type of guy
that would cause trouble.
Oh, I'm the opposite of trouble.
Trouble's just a bad habit, right?
Oh, I don't know.
Trouble's. Kind of fun.
Oh, well if trouble's your thing,
I think we can find some adventure here.
Okay, Eddie, don't
throw me with a good time.
(suspenseful music)
Just a little longer.
I am starting to feel a little off.
Yeah, you didn't tell us
how strong these drinks were.
You both seem like
you're having a good time.
What did you do to us?
Umm
I just gave you a little something
to make you feel more comfortable.
Relax, Katrina. You've had a long day.
I'm starting to feel kind of
Floaty.
Well, that's the thing with adventure.
It doesn't always follow the
rules. I'm not a bad guy.
Katrina. Really? Just little hospitality.
Relax, take a rest.
Everything's under control.
What are you gonna do to us?
What am I gonna do?
I'm gonna help you guys. Relax.
Katrina, where are we
with the presentation?
I finalized the visuals
and data projections.
I'll have the pitch deck
published by Friday.
I still think we should
take a more edgy approach.
Traditional branding feels safe,
but safe doesn't sell anymore.

Edgy works for certain demographics,
but our client values,
trust and longevity.
A drastic shift might alienate them.
Fine. Stick with Katrina's approach.
But I want a backup concept.
Something riskier just in
case, alright meeting adjourned.
I don't know how you stayed so calmly.
You'll get used to it.
(boom sound)
(suspenseful music)
(dramatic music)
Jacobs, we definitely need to talk.
Well, it must be pretty important
'cause no one ever meets me down here.
It's more than important.
Another hiker came
forward early this morning.
New witness
Said a day ago.
She saw a black male early to mid thirties
helping two female hikers off a trail.
And Griffith, one of them look
like she twisted her ankle.
Did we get a description?
Black T-shirt, gray backpack, blue jeans,
average height fit built matches.
The description that Lisa Barnes gave me
a day ago, and now we're
just hearing about this.
She didn't think anything was wrong.
Said he seemed like a
nice guy. Real charming.
Said the woman even laughed
at something. He said
Laughing while sizing them up.
Yeah, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Hmm. Yeah.
Any name, license, plates, anything?
No, no car.
Just that he carried himself
real casual, confident.
A few days ago I got a call from Officer
Malone and he had a hunch.
Got me really thinking.
We've been looking in the wrong
direction the entire time.
Thinking of some sort of
Columbia gang involved
in sex trafficking.
That's why we landed at a dead end.
It's only one guy that's
doing this, not a crew.
Hmm
This case is starting
to make more sense now.
Total of three women missing
with a possibility of two more.
Same area, no bodies, no ransom notes.
This guys a fucking mastermind.
It's like we chasing a fucking ghost.
Not if we smoke 'em out.
(chuckles)
How?
Plain clothes,
weekends cover the trails.
Hikers, runners, couples blend in
Eyes everywhere.
Well, chief, it's not that simple.
This guy, a see us coming, then
he'll go dormant for years.
For these ladies sake. I sure hope not.
'Cause that's gonna give his entire
case to a screeching halt.
- Hmm.
- This guy is 10 times smarter than the
zodiac killer ever was.
True. But
Eventually he'll get too comfortable
and sloppy just like the rest of them.
That's when we'll nail his ass.
Yeah. Well, the thing about that,
if he leaves Los Angeles
and go to a new city
and start a new life, he'll just be a
born against serial killer.
Well, Jacobs, it's
just the facts of life.
You can go fishing all day,
but it doesn't guarantee
you'll catch a damn thing.
But if I hear anything
else, I'll let you know.
Thank you. Thank you, chief.
(suspenseful music)
I told you you'll be fine, but
you didn't listen.
What did you do to us?
It's just a little nap Katrina,
nothing to worry about.
I told you this was
about relaxation, right?
And trust me, it's all gonna be fine.
But the thing is, Katrina, some people
just need a little more
time to relax than others.
We didn't do anything to you. You
Freak.
You didn't do anything
wrong. You just trusted me.
That's all.
You're fucking sick.
The thing is, Katrina,
once people trust you,
they let their guards down
and that's when the real fun starts.
Sick fuck.
(boom sound)
Hey guys, what's up?
It's your girl, Lisa, live
and glowing on your feed.
We are 2 million strong,
y'all. Okay? 2 million.
She commands the storm

(boom sound)
Mmm
Katrina. What's going on?
Oh, to get up, you're awake.
Oh, we're just having a little
chat. Nothing to worry about.
(suspenseful music)
You know, I have to admit,
you two are different than I thought.
I expected a little more
resistance. You know what they say?
Trust is a fragile thing.
And you two are gonna have to trust me
or things are gonna get messy.
You're both so strong
but not strong enough.
Now that's more like it.
Oh, you think that's
gonna stop me, a gun?
Really?
- You're fucking
- Insane.
You've got guts, Katrina.
I'll give you that but
you should know. I'm not
Afraid of you.
Don't take another step.
You think you're the first one
to think they have power over me.
I have a lot more up my sleeve
than just physical force.
Katrina don't
Come on Lisa. It's the only way out.
See Katrina you'll always hesitate.
'Cause you'll always worry about her.
Just stay calm. We'll figure
this out. How Lisa?
- No heroes here. Katrina, not
- Tonight.
(gunshot)
(uptempo gentle beat)
Hm.
(phone rings)
Hm. Melissa. Hey Melissa. What's up?
Yeah, well, you know where I'm at.
Same place I'm at every night. Yeah.
Still working on this case.
Right now we are at a dead end.
Only thing we know. Black
shirt, gray backpack,
and some blue jeans.
That's it. No plates,
no car, nothing else.
But I promise you this,
once this case is over,
I'm taking a super long vacation.
I'm talking about, I don't
want to see this office
for at least two weeks.
Hmm. Yeah.
And I know you feel like
I've been neglecting you lately,
but I promise you I haven't.
It's just this case, you know?
It's like the whole office
is flipped upside down.
The chief is up. Everybody's
ass about finding this guy.
But like I said, we're at a dead end.
So what you been up to? Yeah.
Thinking about me? I
bet. Well, you know what?
What are you doing Friday night? Perfect.
So let's say around eight
o'clock I come pick you up,
we go out to your favorite restaurant
and then from there we catch a movie
and then we got hit the park.
You know, hold hands, be very romantic,
you know, and just reminisce
over good times how about that.
(chuckles)
What comes after?
I mean, we can go back
to my place or your place.
I can give you a good massage
and you know, we'll see
what else happens, right?
Yeah. Oh yeah.
But that's pretty much how
my life's been going lately.
Anything new in your life?
Hmm
Yeah.
(email notification)
Wait a minute.
Oh, what is this?
Hey Melissa, I'm gonna give
you a call back, okay? Yeah.
Something just came across my desk that I
definitely gotta take care of.
Alright? But I promise
I'll give you a call back.
What? In the hell?
Is this. This is him.
Ahh
Thank you God, it's him.
(phone rings)
Hey Chief, I got the same email.
Mmm hmm
It's our guy. It is our guy.
What shooting? Wait,
what apartments Chief.
Those apartments are
not far from the trail.
You think it's him?
I'm gonna head over there now.
Okay? Alright. Yeah. I'll
keep you posted. All right.
(boom sound)
Ayee
Oh,
(suspenseful music)
You actually shot me.
You dirty bitch. I can't
Believe it.
You actually grew a conscience.
Awe
Okay, I'll get you. Oh, it's not over yet.
You think you can just leave?
Ah, I'm down right now.
I'm not out.
Come on Lisa
Yeah, You think you can just
leave? Get back here.
Awe
- I'm coming for you.
- Get back here.
You think you can get away from me?
That ain't happening.
Awe
(suspenseful music)
(gunshot)
Lisa
Lisa
Lisa
Lisa
(door opens)
Help me. Please, please. The
man he's shot my friend.
He's still there. He's armed and
he's dangerous.
Okay, ma'am?
He tried to shoot me.
Okay. He got my friend,
Ma'am.
- Staying calm.
- Okay, check it out. But stay here. Okay.
Stay here.
(boom sound)
So tell me about that
big fancy job of yours.
Yeah, it's stressing me out.
That's why I guess it's not bad.
I came out. See, you see
the birds and the trees.
See, I told you you
needed this, but I get it.
Influencing can be a little
stressful too sometimes.
So it's nice to take a little breather
and just be with my friends.
(birds chirping)
I just can't believe you came.
I mean, oh, and you got this
wildlife glowy thing going on.
Love it.
Don't jinx it.
Well, you'll be fine.
I think if we go up just a little bit
and make a big circle,
we can come right back down. Easy, right?
Okay. And then we can
get lunch after. Ooh,
Yes.
- On you.
- I didn't say all that
(chuckles)
Well.
I had to try.
(birds chirping)
(cracking sound)
Oh,
Ugh
that wasn't part of the plan, honey.
I'm fine.
Oh, no are you okay?
I got it.
Fine.
Okay.
Well, we're kind
of in the middle of nowhere right now.
Ugh.
It's just a sprain. I should
be fine. I can walk it off.
Alright. This is why I should
have been the cautious one.
Tell me about it.
Oh,
hi there. I'm Eddie.
(boom sound)
(phone rings)
Hello. This is Katrina. Huh?
Huh?
I can see you now
Hello?
Huh?
I'm so close to you
Wait what?
(phone slams)
(gagging and choking sounds)
(trash bag rattling)
(punching sounds)
(coughing and choking sounds)
(uptempo beat)
Hi. Excuse me.
Hi. Hello. Excuse me. Excuse me. Hi.
Yeah, hi. Umm You've been on
the machine for a while now
and I've been waiting for like 15 minutes.
I don't wanna be rude,
but it's the only chance
person between in the gym
and it's, you know, I
have other things to do.
Day.
No worries. You're totally right.
I guess I was just lost in the zone.
Hmm
Right?
All yours.
Right. Thanks. Appreciate it
(suspenseful music)
(Bam)
(woman screams)
They say the woods are peaceful.
A place to disconnect, to heal,
to escape the noise of the world.
But sometimes people go into
the forest and never come out.
Every year, thousands
of hikers vanished without
a trace in national parks
and wilderness trails across the country.
No footprints, no calls
for help. Just silence.
In 1981,
14-year-old Katherine Van Alst
wandered off while hiking
with her family in Arkansas.
When she was found six days later,
miles from where she
disappeared, she was calm,
distant, wearing no shoes.
When asked what happened, she
simply said, I don't know.
Then there's Kenny Veach, a seasoned hiker
and adventurer who set out
into the Nevada desert in 2014
to find a mysterious cave.
He claimed made his body
vibrate. He never returned.
Only his cell phone was found lying
by an abandoned mine shaft.
And in 2021, Justin Richardson,
an experienced backpacker
went hiking alone in the
forest of northern California,
he text his girlfriend a photo
of the summit then vanished.
No body, no gear,
nothing but not all.
Disappearances are accidents.
Some trails are marked in blood.
Campers have stumbled
across shallow graves,
hikers found buried by rocks.
Victim stripped of their gear
and left to rot beneath the pines.
Sometimes the forest doesn't
take you someone in it does.
No suspects, no convictions.
Just the growing legend of trails.
You should never walk alone.
These woods remember everything,
every scream, every secret.
And once you're deep enough
in, they decide who comes out.
