Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade (2021) Movie Script

[ "Rockin' Around
the Christmas Tree Plays" ]
Whoa, yeah
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung
where you can see
Every couple try to stop
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas
spirit ring
Later we'll have
some pumpkin pie
And we'll do some caroling
Both: You will get
a sentimental feeling
When you hear
Voices singing,
"Let's be jolly"
"Deck the halls
with boughs of holly"
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's
dancing merrily
In a new
oldfashioned way
Come on!
You will get
a sentimental feeling
When you hear
Voices singing,
"Let's be jolly"
"Deck the halls
with boughs of holly"
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's
dancing merrily
In the new
oldfashioned way
In a new oldfashioned way
Merry Christmas, happy holidays
from the Walt Disney World
Resort in Florida
and Disneyland Resort
in California.
This is "Disney Parks
Magical Christmas Day Parade."
Join us for performances by...
And a special appearance
by Kevin Nealon.
With cohosts Trevor Jackson
and Sherry Cola.
And now please welcome
your hosts,
Derek and Julianne Hough.
Merry Christmas,
everybody.
And welcome to
Walt Disney World Resort,
the most magical place
on Earth.
We are so excited
to be here with you today
because the great
Disney tradition,
the Christmas Day Parade,
is back.
We are also celebrating
the 50th anniversary
of Walt Disney World Resort
in Florida,
and it just feels like
there are so many reasons
to celebrate today.
I know what you mean, sis.
Being here with you
and all of you at home,
it really, really means a lot,
especially this year.
It feels so great to be together
again for the holidays.
We've got some incredible
musical performances,
some surprises,
and, of course,
a frontrow seat to the greatest
Christmas Day tradition ever.
And it's like
a Disney family reunion,
because, from Freeform, we have
Trevor Jackson from "grownish"
and "Good Trouble's"
Sherry Cola
bringing us coverage
of the parade as it happens.
The parade
is starting right now,
so let's head over to
Disneyland Resort in California
and check in with Trevor
and Sherry.
Thanks, Julianne. Aah!
I can't believe I'm here.
I'm so thrilled and honored
to be a part
of this magical tradition
that started over 60 years ago,
the same year Disneyland Resort
in California opened its doors.
That's right,
and even though
this is not my first
Disney Christmas parade,
the excitement is on
another level this year.
It's absolutely electric.
Electric!
Right now,
the Christmas Fantasy Parade,
Disney's longestrunning
holiday parade,
is getting started
with the stuffed bear,
the music box ballerina...
And, of course, one of my
favorites the toy soldiers.
Now, those guys have been
marching in this parade
for decades, and they never
seem to get tired.
I mean, they're based
on the toy soldiers
from Walt Disney's 1961 musical
fantasy "Babes in Toyland,"
which you can catch now
on Disney+.
Wow, Sherry, that was a nice,
shameless plug.
I do what I do,
and I'm good at it.
I've been rehearsing it
all morning.
Here comes Santa's cottage.
Ooh, there goes
the elves.
They really are the glue that
hold Santa's workshop together.
Oh, and there are some
of my buddies
Donald and Chip and Dale.
They never miss a parade.
Perfect attendance.
Never miss a parade.
Fun fact
Chip, Dale, and Donald
all made their debuts
beside another beloved
Disney character.
Can you guess who?
Who?
Pluto...
I knew it.
...who we'll see a little later
in the parade,
so make sure
you guys stay tuned.
And there's Mrs. Claus.
Hi, Mrs. Claus!
Mrs. Claus, over here!
Do you think I can
get a selfie with her?
Or even Santa?
We got to keep it cool,
okay, Sherry?
Oh, okay.
I don't want you to get us
put on the naughty list.
We'll get you your selfie
and a whole lot more.
You're going to see
some of your favorite
Disney princesses today,
our friends from "Toy Story,"
and Santa's entire entourage.
It's just so exciting.
And there's so much
on the way.
Right now, let's head over
to Julianne and Derek,
who are standing by
at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Thanks, you two.
The Christmas Fantasy Parade
has officially started,
and there's no better way
to celebrate
than with a performance
from a music icon.
She never misses an opportunity
to help us ring in the holidays
with her undeniable talent.
She's a multiple Grammy Award
winner and a global superstar.
Performing "Cheer for the Elves,
here's multiplatinum artist
and one of the biggest
Disney fans you'll ever meet
Gwen Stefani.
[ Cheers and applause ]

They got good hearts
With the burning desire
to work hard
They don't even get tired
Never try to take a taste
of the spotlight
No, they only wanna
make Santa shine bright
Oh
Oh
In the workshop
Making cookies and candy
with Mrs. Claus
While Santa's sippin' brandy
And they don't even mind
that it's so cold
'Cause they love living life
in the North Pole
Oh
Oh
Whoo!
Let's give a cheer
for the elves
They do like nobody else
Workin' all day
and all night
To make your wish come alive
Makin' dolls, makin' trains,
makin' model airplanes
Helping Santa with a smile
on their face

Let's give a cheer
for the elves

In the mailroom
They read every letter
that was sent through
And no matter the weather
They always make sure
Santa gets out
And he gets every single
last gift out

[ Cheers and applause ]
Happy holidays!
Hey, there!
My name is Kevin Winterbean.
And I work at the Christmas Day
info desk.
[ Ding! ]
Just to be clear, I don't work
at the Christmas desk.
That's the other guy.
We have totally different jobs.
He answers questions
that have to do
with all the days
leading up to Christmas.
I am strictly
Christmas Day only.
So your aunt brought over
her annual fruitcake,
but you're using the one
she gave you from last year
as a doorstop.
Alright, here's my suggestion.
Tell her that it's just
a fruitcakeshaped doorstop
and you can't wait
to dig into the new one.
The best part is you have
two door stoppers now.
I haven't been
Employee of the Month yet,
but I'm hoping I will
eventually,
since I'm the only employee.
20 minutes per pound
at 325 degrees.
Yeah, with occasional basting,
so it doesn't dry out.
[ Squeaking ]
Oh.
That's a stress toy.
I mean,
that's my training, so...
If you really want
to go traditional,
you should serve
a figgy pudding.
No, Christmas caroling
is not the same as Halloween.
They don't give out candy.
Not finger pudding,
figgy pudding.
I think we have
a bad connection.
I've only been here
a little over 400 years,
so I guess technically
I'm still the new guy.
[ Squeaking ]
Still a stress toy, yeah.
Santa thought
this would be the perfect fit.
And you know what?
I think he was right.
Fish sticks and tartar sauce
on Christmas?
That dinner doesn't sound
too bad to me.
I love my job.
I mean, you wouldn't
know it to look at me,
but I am super jolly.
We've got more performances
from Kristin Chenoweth
and Chance the Rapper.
Merry Christmas, Disney!
Plus, your favorite
Disney characters
parade down Main Street,
U. S. A., in Disneyland.
[ Sewing machine clicking ]
[ Rumbling ]
The holidays are for
spending time with family.
Eating delicious meals.
Listening to music.
And our new movie "Encanto"
has all those things, too.
Happy holidays from
Disney's "Encanto,"
now streaming on Disney+.
[ Cheers and applause ]
Welcome back!
This is the most wonderful time
of the year,
and to be honest,
as soon as fall begins,
so does my countdown
to Christmas Day.
I can't believe
it's finally here
and that I get to spend it
at Walt Disney World
with all of you...
enjoying the sights
and sounds of the season.
Our next performer is definitely
on Santa's nice list,
because she's one of the
sweetest people I have ever met.
And there are no limitations
to her talents.
Her presence
is truly a gift.
Here's the Emmy
and Tony Awardwinning
Kristin Chenoweth.
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ "Have Yourself a Merry
Little Christmas" plays ]
Christmas future
Is far away, yeah
Christmas past
Is past
Christmas present
is here today
Bringing joy that will last
Hmm
Have yourself
a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on
Your troubles
will be out of sight
I promise you that.
Have yourself
a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on
Your troubles
will be miles away
Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends
who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years
we all will be together
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star
Upon the highest bough
And have yourself
A merry little Christmas now
Hmm
Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends
who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years
we all will be together
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star
Upon the highest bough
And have yourself

And have yourself

[ Cheers and applause ]
Merry Christmas, y'all.
I love you!
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ Song ends ]
Give it up
for Kristin Chenoweth!
[ Laughs ]
Come here.
Literally, you are
so incredible.
I wish that I could
just listen to you
when I wake up in the morning,
when I go to sleep at night,
when I brush my teeth.
You just have such a
Do you want me
to come over every morning
and just be there?
Yes, please. Yes, please.
I will.
Can we be best friends?
We already are.
I know!
BFFs forever.
I love it.
Well, what is one of the things
that you're looking forward to
the most this year,
specifically?
This year, I get to be
in Oklahoma with my family,
and my mom's gonna cook,
and I get to hug
all my relatives
and I get to be with my love
right there, Josh Bryant.
And just hang out.
You know what?
No gift is better than being
with the people that you love.
Nothing.
And on that note,
thank you so much, Kristin,
for being here,
for sharing your beautiful joy.
And happy holidays
to you and your family.
Thank you.
You too, Julianne.
Love you.
Love you.
[ Cheers and applause ]
There's a lot of work
that goes into creating
the Disney Parks
magical experience
that we all know and love.
The cast members and Imagineers
are constantly thinking
of new ways
to bring you attractions
that amaze, astonish,
and immerse you into
the wonderful world of Disney.
And this being the
50thanniversary celebration
of Walt Disney World Resort,
there's a special transformation
that's happening at EPCOT.
Here's an exciting
behindthescenes look.
My name is Kartika Rodriguez,
and I'm the vice president
of EPCOT.
Morning, folks.
Good morning!
Have a great day.
Seeing the smiles
and faces on our guests
and seeing them have
a great time is just magical.
At the front of our park,
the first thing you come in
is you see our fountain,
and then, of course, we have
our iconic Spaceship Earth.
And at night, it'll transformed
into a beacon of magic.
We have several
new dining experiences.
One of those
is called Space 220.
And when you arrive, you get
the opportunity to eat and dine
and be able to see all of Earth
in front of you.
One of the things that our
guests can look forward to
in summer 2022 is Guardians
of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
They will be on a space chase
they will never forget.
We wanted to make sure that when
our guests came for our 50th,
they were wowed,
they were surprised,
and that we would
create memories
that will last a lifetime.
Our cast truly
are the heart of the park.
Words can't express
the gratitude
and the pride that I have
in how well this team
has come together
to deliver an outstanding
experience for our guests.
The celebration continues
with a performance
by Chance the Rapper.
You guys feeling pretty good?
[ Crowd cheers ]
And we'll get a sneak peek
at Disney's newest cruise ship,
the Disney Wish.
Announcer:
The magic is calling you
to a celebration
50 years in the making.
Feel the magic everywhere.
Share the wonder of new,
unbelievable sights.
Share the light all around you.
And see the world you love
shine like never before.
Join us for
the Walt Disney World
50thanniversary celebration.
Why is this the most
magical time of year?
Because it's the one time
of year
when everyone can set aside
their differences and believe
in Santa, in peace on Earth,
and even in talking frogs.
That's magic.
Happy holidays and a very happy
New Year from the Muppets.
Yay!
Trevor:
Okay, Sherry, remember I told
you to keep it cool earlier?
Sherry:
Yes. Yes, yes. Okay.
Well, it's time
to let that go.
Let it go
Let it go
Don't serenade me.
Oh, you mean Winter Wonderland
is here?
Yes. Yes, the Winter Wonderland
is here.
That's exactly
what I mean.
And you know
it's a Winter Wonderland
when you see all the snow people
and the snowflakes.
...merry and full
of Yuletide cheer
Oh, here comes "Frozen's"
Anna and Elsa.
Now, they made their Christmas
Fantasy Parade debut in 2014
and have been a part of
the annual tradition ever since.
And it's no wonder why.
These two are the definition
of girl power.
You know, Sherry,
I can't think
of a better way
to spend Christmas Day.
Couldn't agree more, Trevor.
The feeling is mutual.
It's so nice to be able
to come together again
and watch the magic of Disney
come to life
right in front
of our eyes.
And we are just getting started,
so pace yourself, Sherry,
alright, because we've got
gingerbread women and men...
Okay.
...Disney princesses,
and the man himself, Santa,
coming right up.
Santa? Where?
Oh, yeah. Here he is.
Santa?
I'm just kidding.
He's not here yet.
You!
Alright, let's kick it over
to Derek and Julianne
at Walt Disney World.
Thanks, Trevor.
That is one
of my favorite floats
and a reminder
that Christmas at Disney Parks
is truly a family affair.
I mean, just ask my sister.
That's right.
This tradition is all about
sharing the holidays
with family, friends,
and loved ones.
And amazing music.
Right now, we have a very
special performance for you
coming from EPCOT.
With his song
"Who's to Say,"
here's the threetime
Grammy Awardwinning
Chance the Rapper.
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ "Who's to Say" plays ]
What up, Disney?
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ Rapping ]
Love is a casualty of war
My little cousin thought
that I ain't love him anymore
Nothin' could be farther
from the truth
Here, take this Fronto
and a Swisher as a truce
I was just mad
'cause you stole
I was mad, but it's old
We gon' talk about it
facetoface
Forgiveness is the answer,
and Auntie's is the place
Sunday,
we goin' to the house
Someone got a problem,
they gon' have to kick us out
But if you come,
I hope you decide to stay
Just know your big cousin
love ya either way
'Cause who's to say?
Who's to say?
Who's to say?
Who's to say?
I loooove you still,
still
I loooooooove
Loooooooove
Loooooooove you
Love is forgiveness
at its core
My cousin thought her grandma
didn't love her anymore
Nothin' could be farther
from the truth
Take the pictures of
your daughter on her
wall as the truth
I think she was just mad
nobody told her
She thought
that you was too young
But your daughter
gettin' older
I think y'all should
talk about it facetoface
Forgiveness is the topic, and
her house is still the place
Sunday,
we back up at the house
Someone got a issue,
they gon' have to drag us out
I know they probably
feel some type of way
Someone always
got somethin' to say
But who's to say?
Who's to say?
Who's to say?
Who's to say?
She looooves you still,
still
She looooooooves
Loves yooooooooou
People that was always
quick to judge
People that would
always do too much
We love, love, love
Listen
Love is not the sanitized,
romanticized soliloquy
That smiles and tries
to reconcile
Without accountability
'Cause justice is the motive
And that's the thing
that's missin'
That's the sickness
of the culture
The system
that was keepin' us
From lovin'
how we supposed to
The secrets that we keep
That keep us comfortable
and closer
The silence in the church
When it was violence
they would know of
It made us feel like Christ
He didn't like us,
didn't know us
But this is the biggest lie
the enemy done ever told us
I know he was the shoulder
I could hold on like a toga
When others did me vulgar
I'm just lookin' for closure
I know that love
is righteous
Love is what is happenin'
when someone apologizes
Love is the day that
the Grinch's heart
grew three sizes
Love is priceless,
love is passion
God is loving on you, God is
good, and God is happenin'
God still love ya,
don't believe me, ask him
'Cause who's to say?
Who's to say?
Who's to say?
Who's to say?
He loves you still
You still
[ Cheers and applause ]
I have something really exciting
to tell you all about.
There is a new member of
the Disney Cruise Line family,
the Disney Wish.
Like all the other amazing
Disney cruise ships,
It took skilled Imagineers
thousands of hours
to design and build
and is now ready
to set sail this summer.
Take a look.
My name is Philip Gennotte.
I'm the portfolio
project management executive
with Walt Disney
Imagineering Germany.
We are looking at our
Disney Wish nearing completion.
There is an enormous
amount of work
going on outside and inside,
really getting her ready
to set sail very soon.
The Disney Wish is very big.
She's more than 1,100 feet long.
That's more than three
football fields long
and longer
than the Eiffel Tower is tall.
The shipyards builds
in socalled blocks,
and it all starts
with the key layin.
Our Disney Wish
has about 100 blocks.
When the ship is completed,
she will float up
for the first time.
The Disney Wish
will be so beautiful.
She'll be elegant.
She'll have the great colors,
the shapes.
The looks of the ship
are going to be incredible.
And then, of course,
all of these special spaces
that we are creating
inside the ship,
oh, my goodness,
I can't wait for it.
There's more magical
performances on the way
from Pentatonix,
Norah Jones, and Darren Criss.
Merry Christmas, everybody.
Plus more from
the Christmas Day Guy.
Announcer: Life gets a lot more
magical when you dream.
And for decades,
Disney Cruise Line
has given families dreams
to wake up excited about,
dreams with beloved stories,
a private island paradise,
and knowing your family
will be cared for
the moment you step aboard,
because here,
dreams really do come true.
This holiday season,
I am grateful for my family.
I am so incredibly grateful
for their health
and their happiness
and their smiles
and all being under one roof
this Christmas.
I think we all just have to be
together and be ourselves
and be loving and grateful
and keep it simple.
Now, that's what Christmas
is all about.
Absolutely.
Oh, by the way, Jules,
I've been practicing my pose
for our family's
annual Christmas photo
because I don't want
to look too stiff.
Oh, well, great.
Let's Let's see it.
Okay.
Wow.
So natural.
Is that good?
Oh, wonderful, Derek.
Thank you.
[ Laughs ]
These next performers
love celebrating Christmas
with music so much,
they just released
their sixth Christmas album.
Fresh off their soldout
Evergreen Christmas Tour,
coming to us from
It's a Small World
in Disneyland Resort,
here is threetime
Grammy Awardwinning
a cappella sensation
Pentatonix.
[ Cheers and applause ]

Whoo. Whoo!
Make some noise for these guys.
You guys
are so amazing, man.
You guys be singing!
Love it.
What are you guys
most grateful for
this holiday season,
would you say?
I'm grateful for so much
my family, my friends.
I'm grateful for everyone
that supports our music,
and I'm grateful
to be singing together
with the rest
of Pentatonix.
Yes, I'm sure you guys have
become a tightknit family,
you know, writing songs,
singing songs.
Okay, now that we're able
to get together
with family and friends,
what are you looking
forward to the most?
Is it the tree?
Eating, 100%
Eating.
Food.
Food is a big part of it.
Food is a good one.
Well, happy holidays
to you guys.
I hope Santa is good
to all of you.
[ Cheers and applause ]
Mmm. That Pluto,
he's such a good boy.
He's such a good boy.
Merry Christmas. You're on
with the Christmas Day Guy.
Woody, you want to make sure
that all the new toys
that get opened on Christmas Day
feel welcome?
Okay, I'm gonna go out
on a limb here, Woody,
and suggest
that you get them a toy.
One time I got a call
from Snow White,
and she was wondering
why she wasn't more part
of the Christmas scene,
you know, because of her name,
Snow White.
No, II don't want
an extended warranty on my car.
You got to stop calling me.
Okay, okay, calm down.
Did I call you,
or did you call me?
Are you sure there's nothing
in your stocking?
What do I want for Christmas?
Huh.
No one's ever
asked me that before.
[ Telephone ringing ]
Oh, there goes the Santa phone.
Hello, sir.
Merry Christmas.
How can I help?
Okay, the elves are throwing
their yearly
Christmas Day party,
and you don't know what to wear.
You know what?
You can
CCan you put on Mrs. Claus
for a second?
Hi, Mrs. Claus.
You remember
that red velvet tuxedo
Santa wore to my 300th birthday?
Do you still have that?
Great. I mean, I think
that's the perfect outfit
for the elf party.
Oh, II love
the vest you got me.
I'm wearing it now.
Alright, merry Christmas
to you and Santa, too.
Such a great couple.
[ Ding! ]
I am so excited.
We are at the most
magical place on Earth
on the most wonderful day
of the year,
celebrating the 50th anniversary
of Walt Disney World Resort.
Ooh!
I love the holidays.
I hear you, Jules.
[ Laughs ]
And one of the things
I love most about the holidays
is that they bring out
the very best in all of us,
and you're about to meet
a young man
who embodies the spirit
of Christmas
every day of the year.
At 17 years old, Luke Barry is
a bright light in his community,
and he brings joy
to everyone who meets him.
We can all take
a lesson from Luke.
But right now,
we're about to give him
the surprise of his life.
[ Drum playing ]
We'll need two flutes
and two piccolos.
[ Trombone playing ]
Clarinets, cornets, trumpets.
Jill: Luke loves music.
He has easily collected
30 or more instruments
since he's been about 2.
Each year for Luke's birthday,
he has a parade
with his family and friends.
That's his favorite thing to do
in the world
is play in a marching band.
I'm twirling.
I love marching bands.
[ Trumpet plays ]
Jill: Luke was diagnosed
with autism when he was 2.
Well, it was scary and unknown.
Mwah!
I love you.
I love you.
He has so many gifts.
He's nothing but love.
He's the friendliest person
that you'll ever come across.
Everybody's here, right?
Everybody's here.
It's amazing watching him
from where he was.
Hey, Bridget.
Hey, Hannah.
Unable to speak,
unable to just be in a room
because noises
would really bother him.
So just watching him now,
it's amazing.
It really is.
He's a ray of sunshine.
Diane: He is a joy.
He's fun to be around.
[ Drums playing ]
He loves the drums.
He's in the school band now.
He hasn't taken any lessons,
but he just knows how to play.
Jill: Today he thinks
that everybody is coming
for a practice
for his birthday parade,
and he has no idea that Disney's
gonna surprise him.
Let's have a parade!
[ Whistle blows ]
[ Marching band plays ]
Jill: We're
We're not very musical.
We're here to celebrate Luke.
We're here to be happy.
Joe: The neighbors
cheer us on sometimes.
Sometimes they don't.
It's not a pretty noise,
but it's great.
[ All cheering ]
Something to show you.
Hi, Luke.
This is Tony...
And Michael...
From the Main Street
Philharmonic.
We'd like to treat
all of you
to your very first
Walt Disney World experience
right here in Florida.
And we'd be honored
if you would join us
and march with us
through the Magic Kingdom.
[ Cheers and applause ]
We're going
to Disney World.
When?
Next week.
What year?
This year.
In a couple days.
Yes!
We're going
to Disney World.
[ Cheers and applause ]
My first time
at Disney World.
Can you all believe it?
[ Cheers and applause ]
Whoo!
Ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls,
welcome to Disney's
Animal Kingdom.
Today we're going on
the Kilimanjaro Safaris...
Alright. Beautiful.
Oh, my goodness.
...and see the elephants,
the giraffes, the zebras.
Whoo. Ooh.
I've never seen an okapi before.
Joe: There he is.
The lions and the tigers.
Roar!
Jill: Being here
at Walt Disney World
is such an amazing experience
for our family.
It's It's magic.
This is gonna be
a memory of a lifetime.
If you had asked me last year
if we would be here today,
I would tell you I didn't think
it was in the cards for us.
Forward march!
Announcer: Please welcome
the Main Street Philharmonic,
joined by guest percussionist
Luke Barry.
Oh, they just said
his name.
They just said his name.
I was watching his feet march
one foot at a time.
He's come so far.
He just really was very happy,
in his element.
Yay, Lucas!
Whoo!
It was marvelous.
It's
Proud beyond words.
Proud beyond words.
There are no words.
We keep the Christmas
celebration going
with performances
from Meg Donnelly...
Merry Christmas!
...Jimmie Allen, and many more.
Announcer:
The magic is calling you
to a celebration
50 years in the making...
...where the magic
you believe in...
...and the worlds you love...
shine like never before.
Join us for the world's
most magical celebration
at the Walt Disney World
50th anniversary.
Come celebrate today.
It's the most wonderful time
of the year.
And it's even more merry because
our new movie "West Side Story"
is out in theaters.
Wishing you happy holidays
from our "West Side Story"
family to yours.
This is the "Disney Parks
Magical Christmas Day Parade,"
and for everyone
with a sweet tooth out there,
your dreams
are about to come true.
We've got gingerbread people
heading down Main Street, U. S. A.
The gingerbread house float
is a whopping 16 feet tall
and has been a part of
the Christmas Fantasy Parade
since its first season
in 1995.
Which is the same year
we were introduced
to two of my favorite
characters,
Woody and Buzz Lightyear
in "Toy Story."
Can't wait to see
those guys later on.
Hey, there's Goofy, one of my
favorite Disney characters.
Did you know
that he first appeared
in 1932
in "Mickey's Revue"?
1932? Good year.
Yeah.
Well, Trevor, you're not
the only one around here
that knows
some Disney facts.
Here's another one.
Pluto made his debut
two years before that.
Wow, that's impressive.
Very impressive.
I didn't know that.
I'm very impressive.
Okay,
so here at Disney Parks,
the bakers pride themselves on
cooking up all sorts of goodies,
especially
this time of year.
And one of my favorite
holiday treats
is the Mickey Gingerbread.
Oh!
He's not gonna share.
Mnhmnh.
We've got a lot more coming up,
including the Disney princesses.
But right now, let's head over
to Walt Disney World
and check in
with my girl Julianne.
Let's keep this Christmas spirit
going with some more music.
She's a singer, actress,
and the star
of Disney Channel's upcoming
"ZOMBIES 3,"
The multitalented Meg Donnelly.
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ "Jingle Bell Rock" plays ]
Jingle bell, jingle bell,
jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing
and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin'
and bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Oh, jingle bell, jingle bell,
jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime
in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin'
in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time,
it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time
is a swell time
To go gliding
in a onehorse sleigh
Giddyup, jingle horse,
pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and amingle
in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock
Come on, everybody.
Sing with me.
Na na nana
nana nana nana
Na na nana
nana nana nana
Na na na nana nana na
Na na na nana nana na
Whoo!
Let's go.
Rollin' down the street
in a onehorse sleigh
Rollin' down the street
in a onehorse sleigh
What a bright time,
it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time
is a swell time
To go gliding
in a onehorse sleigh
Giddyup, jingle horse,
pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and amingle
in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell rock
Rollin' down the street
in a onehorse sleigh
Jingle bell rock
Rollin' down the street
in a onehorse sleigh
Jingle bell rock
[ Cheers and applause ]
Merry Christmas!
Whoo!
Look at these streamers!
I know.
Give it up for Meg.
Meg, that was awesome.
Thank you.
Alright,
so I got to know.
Can you give us any spoilers
for "ZOMBIES 3"?
Ooh, well, there are
a lot new characters coming,
so I'm really excited
for you guys to see them.
And the music and dances
are just bigger and better,
so I'm really, really excited
for you to see it.
Whoo!
How does it feel having grown up
watching Disney
and now you're actually
a part of the family?
It is the most
surreal thing ever.
I grew up on Disney Channel
and Disney,
and actually my mom and I,
every Christmas morning,
would watch this very Christmas
special as a tradition.
So the fact that I'm here
is just
it's just
a dream come true, so...
I feel the same way.
I love
Yeah.
The Disney Christmas Day Parade
is my favorite.
Yeah.
And being a part of it
is so special.
Well, thank you so much
for spending Christmas Day
with all of us.
Give it up one more time
for Meg!
[ Cheers and applause ]
Derek, what's happening
in your neck of the woods?
This is one
of my favorite things
about this annual tradition
celebrating the cast members
who work so hard
behind the scenes
to make sure everyone has
a magical time at Disney Parks.
Today, we're gonna get a peek
behind the curtain
of EPCOT's newest attraction,
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
Hello.
My name is Ryan.
I'm an attractions host
at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
Lois: My name is Lois.
As a relief coordinator,
I am making sure
that not only is my operation
running smoothly,
but I'm also making sure
that my cast members
are well taken care of.
When they're walking around,
they'll see a beautiful winery.
You'll see
three different years.
2007 is when Remy's movie
was released.
2014 was when Disneyland Paris'
Remy's ride was released.
And, of course,
2021 is us here at EPCOT.
Ryan: As the guests enter
the world of Ratatouille,
they'll become part
of the show itself.
Lois: But what they
don't also realize
is that they get to enjoy
the smell and the scent of it.
It's the bread smell
that definitely gets to me
all the time.
Ryan:
Before I became a cast member.
I loved the magic
that was created for me,
and it's an honor to continue
to create that feeling
for other people every day.
Still to come...
Keep on smilin', lookin' good.
...Brett Eldredge performs
a Christmas classic.
And we'll take
another sneak peek
at Disney's newest cruise ship,
the Disney Wish.
Announcer:
The magic is calling you
to stay at
a Disney Resort hotel,
where you're surrounded
by the world's
most magical celebration.
The fun never stops.
Special friends greet you.
You soar to adventures
with extra time in any of
the four theme parks every day.
The 50th anniversary awaits.
Start planning your vacation
at disneyworld.com.
Why would you stay
anywhere else?
No matter where you are
in the galaxy this time of year,
I'd like to wish you
a happy holiday season
on behalf of everyone
from the new Disney+ series
"The Book of Boba Fett."
And we can't wait for you
to enjoy our new original series
streaming December 29th
exclusively on Disney+.
Welcome back to this
magical celebration.
I love the holidays
and everything about them.
I know what you mean, sis.
And one
of my favorite things
is when artists take on classics
in their own unique way.
And this next performer
is the perfect example.
He always puts his own spin
on the Christmas songs
we know and love.
And he always
looks fantastic.
I might have to
take some tips from him
in the fancy suit
department.
Here to spread
some Christmas Day cheer
Is Mr. Christmas himself,
Brett Eldredge.
[ Cheers and applause ]
You know Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
The most famous
reindeer of all?
Oh, you know who it is.
Rudolph,
the rednosed reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh
and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games
Oh, but then one foggy
Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
"Rudolph,
with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh
tonight?"
Then how the reindeer
loved him
As they shouted out
with glee
"Rudolph,
the rednosed reindeer
You'll go down in history"
Yes, you will.
Come on.
Whoo! Yeah.
[ Laughs ]
Whoo.
Feels good, right?
You know
Whoo.
Oh, but then one foggy
Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
"Rudolph,
with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh
tonight?"
Then how the reindeer
loved him
As they shouted out
with glee
"Rudolph,

You'll go down in history"

You'll go down in history
Hit 'em with the red light

That Brett is one class act.
Okay, earlier, we showed you
what went into building
the newest Disney cruise ship.
Now you could be one
of the first
to experience the allnew
enchantment on board.
The Disney Wish takes you on a
journey into fantastical worlds
and beloved stories from Disney,
Star Wars, and Pixar.
And guess what We've got
a special sneak peek for you.
Check it out.
Laura: The Disney Wish
is our fifth ship,
so our assignment is,
how do you take something great
and make it even greater?
Entertainment and storytelling
is really the core
of what we do.
We want to bring our stories
to life at land and at sea.
Laura: Everything we do
is filled with enchantment.
Claire: Enchantment is sort of
the umbrella thing
that we start with,
and all of the stories
that we tell on the ship
fall under this banner.
Laura:
Walking through the space,
you have to bring it alive.
We are creating a castle
on the sea,
and this is our Disney Wish.
Claire: When families board
the Disney Wish,
we want them to be transported
from their real lives
into this beautiful
fantasy environment,
taking our stories
and infusing them
into every single aspect
of the ship.
Danny: We have the AquaMouse,
the first attraction at sea.
We have the firstever
cinematic dinner show.
You have technology
in the walls, in the ceiling.
We're using special effects to
completely transform this space.
Laura: We have created
the firstever
"Frozen" dining
theatrical experience.
You can meet Anna and Elsa
and interact with them.
We completely reimagined
Disney's Oceaneer Club.
These iconic characters
that you've seen on the screen
are here on the ship with you.
Claire: Also, we need spaces
for adults
that feel as if
they're really infused
with Disney storytelling
but in an elevated way.
Danny: We are doing a Star Wars
bar called Hyperspace Lounge.
Sachi:
We have the Quiet Cove district.
Danny: An exclusive retreat
just for adults.
There's something for everybody.
Laura: We hope our guests feel
a lot of of the magic
and the heart that
we've poured into this project.
There's a Meta Quest
virtual reality experience
here at Downtown Disney
at Disneyland Resort
until this January 5th.
So we had to
come check it out.
It's an immersive
VR experience,
"Star Wars:
Tales from the Galaxy's Edge,"
from ILMxLAB.
Yep, and this storyline
is connected
to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge
here at the Disneyland Park,
so I couldn't
be more excited.
Oh, may the Force
be with us.
May the Force
be with us.
Wow! This is amazing!
Trevor!
Seezelslak, my guy.
Sherry:
There's a tree right here.
Oh, I ate
I ate a whole thing in one bite.
What?
I want to try.
Whoa, I feel like
I'm in "Galaxy's Edge."
That's what I'm saying.
What? Space darts.
Oh, I see him.
Go, go, go.
I felt like
I was on Batuu.
We were just there.
Yeah.
And we got
some free goodies.
I felt
completely immersed.
It was the perfect
"Star Wars" experience.
Oh, man, I can't wait to try
this on my Quest 2 at home.
I'm coming over.
Let's go.
We've got more of your favorite
Christmas music
with performances
by Jimmie Allen,
Norah Jones, and Darren Criss.
Merry Christmas!
Plus, Disney royalty
will be making their way
down Main Street, U. S. A.
Announcer:
The magic is calling you
to the Walt Disney World
50thanniversary celebration.
to the Walt Disney World
50thanniversary celebration.
I'm Archie Yates,
and I play Maxwell Mercer
in the new Disney+ movie
"Home Sweet Home Alone."
There's no place like home
for the holidays,
and I'm feeling very at home
right now in Magic Kingdom.
All: Merry Christmas!
[ Laughter ]
Welcome back to "Disney Parks
Magical Christmas Day Parade."
There's a certain joy
that comes from giving,
and one 11yearold
is on a mission
to give back to his community
in a really big way.
He calls it Race to Kindness,
and it's an example of how,
no matter your age,
we all can make a difference.
Let's meet Orion Jean.
Orion: My name is Orion Jean.
I am 11 years old,
and I am from Mansfield, Texas.
How many times
have you read that book?
Hmm. About three or four times.
Probably more.
For as long as I can remember,
he's had a love for reading.
McDonald:
He would wake up with a book,
come to the breakfast table
with a book.
About a year and a half ago,
I entered into a speech contest.
I won the contest.
I got some prize money.
And I knew that I had to act.
With that prize money,
I started the race.
The Race to Kindness
is a series of events
focused on spreading kindness.
The first project
was the Race to 500 Toys.
Then I did another project,
which was
the Race to 100,000 Meals,
and now we are on
the Race to 500,000 Books.
And now we're just trying
to distribute them
to the community.
One box down,
just 50 more to go.
We are having a book fair
to let kids and adults
go and get the books
that they want.
The key word here is "want,"
because for some children,
the reason
they don't like reading
is because the only books
that they've ever really read
is textbooks or history books,
and they had the opportunity
to learn about the kind of books
that they may like,
so they don't dislike reading
or think of it as a chore.
Orion wanted
to do a book fair
to target those areas
that have a need.
The folks that are gonna benefit
from the work that Orion does
I think will make this world
a better place.
Laura: He's always
had a servant's heart.
He's always been one
that was inclusive,
and he's always been one that
wanted to make a difference.
He is an amazing example
for children his age
but not just his age.
He makes me want to be
a better person.
Orion:
I cannot do this by myself.
My parents are, like,
my everything.
Kherri: I have no words
for how I feel about Orion
and just the work
that he's done.
Our hearts are full.
We've been keeping the secret
for weeks.
When we leave here,
there's a huge surprise
waiting for him
at home from Disney.
Orion: Oh, we're home.
We're home.
Home sweet home.
Home sweet home.
I was thinking just as soon as
I saw the Disneyland balloons,
"Are they gonna No, that
can't be what's happening."
There are few moments in life
that you just never forget.
This is one of them.
Absolutely.
For everything that you've been
doing in the community
to help others,
they decided to delight you
and send you and the family
to Disneyland.
[ Laughs ]
We're going
to Disneyland!
We're going to Disneyland.
Whoo!
We're going to Disneyland.
That's right.
We're going to Disneyland!
Oh, it's Mickey.
Orion: I'm so thankful
to have this experience
at Disneyland Resort
with my family.
At Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,
it was just truly like
walking onto a different planet.
Kherri: We just rode
Rise of the Resistance,
and we were blown away.
It was like a trip
through space, honestly.
Driving through
Radiator Springs,
all the way from
the moment you get there
to the moment you start racing,
it was awesome!
It was very helpful
to get a tutorial
from SpiderMan himself at
Disney's California Adventure.
Kherri: He said this was
his best day ever.
And I can totally see
why people call this
the happiest place on Earth.
Orion: I feel like I am
writing my own story,
and I'm excited
for the next chapter.
Oh, that was so sweet.
And how cool was
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?
It looked like they had
the adventure of a lifetime.
I cannot wait
to check it out.
Let's head back
to Disneyland Resort,
where I hear
some very important guests
are making
their appearance.
That's right, Julianne.
We've got some
of the Disney princesses
and their plusones
here today.
Okay, I've literally waited
my entire life for this moment.
This is really
a dream come true.
Oh, there's Snow White
and the Prince,
Princess Tiana
and Prince Naveen,
Cinderella
and Prince Charming.
Wow. Oh, and I spot Aurora,
Prince Phillip,
Ariel, Prince Eric,
and, of course, the belle
and the beast of the ball.
Now, they all have
their own stories,
but every Disney princess
has three things in common.
What's that?
You ready for this?
I'm ready.
They're all courageous.
Ah.
They're all extremely kind.
Mm.
Very important.
And they each have
a heart of gold.
True.
Yeah.
Okay, I think I've got, like,
a strong two out of three.
Which one you missing,
the kind one?
I think you got
all three.
I got all three.
We're in the presence
of Disney royalty,
but the word on Main Street
is that the parade's longest
and tallest float
is making its arrival
very soon.
Wait,
which float is that?
I got you!
You should've seen your face.
Oh, payback.
He thought
it was coming up.
Find out
when we come back.
One of Disney's biggest fans,
Jimmie Allen,
is about to take the stage,
and we check in
with the Christmas Day Guy.
Plus, "Toy Story's"
Buzz and Woody
join the Christmas Fantasy
Parade when we come back.
[ Sewing machine clicking ]
[ Rumbling ]
What's up, everybody?
We are...
[Imitates turntable]
All: DCappella.
And from our family
to yours...
We want to wish you happy
holidays and a happy New Year.
This is the most magical time
of the year because of food!
Basically.
What, I'm gonna say
I'm gonna say
I don't like the food?
[ Laughter ]
So from all of us
at "The View"...
All: Happy holidays!
[ Cheers and applause ]
As promised, it's time
for the parade's longest
and tallest float.
The Toy Factory float
made its debut
in a Christmas Fantasy Parade
and it took the title
in 2008.
You know, I'm
I'm very impressed
with your parade knowledge,
Sherry.
It's very good.
Those are some impressive stats.
Trevor, Trevor, Trevor,
I take my parade stats
very seriously.
Did you know that the parade
consists of 110 performers,
including 12 toy soldiers,
16 elves,
eight reindeer,
eight snow people,
and four
gingerbread cookies?
Yeah, I totally knew that.
That's obvious.
You knew that?
I'm kidding.
I had no idea.
You didn't know it!
But now you know.
Hey, look, here comes one
of my alltime favorite parts
of the parade the "Toy Story"
Green Army Patrol.
And, of course,
everyone loves Buzz Lightyear
and my guy Woody.
And I just ran into
these two best friends
at Disney California
Adventure Park.
Oop. Hold on.
Now, I just got word
that Santa's on his way.
No way.
Yeah, yeah.
He's had a pretty busy morning,
but he'll be here shortly.
Okay, I simply cannot wait,
but I guess I have to.
So let's head over
to Walt Disney World Resort
with Julianne and Derek.
Thanks, Sherry.
It's almost time
for Santa
to make his way down
Main Street, U. S. A.
But first, I have a riddle
for you, Derek.
You do?
You ready?
Yeah.
What's Santa's
favorite type of music?
I don't know.
What?
Wrap.
Get it?
Yeah.
WRAP wrap.
II got it.
I got it, Jules.
Thank you
for spelling it out, though.
Thank you for that.
You're welcome.
I actually know for a fact
that Santa's a fan
of all kinds of music,
especially
this next performer.
He's one of the brightest
talents in country music.
Here, with the holiday classic
"White Christmas,"
is a multiplatinum
recording artist
who was just nominated
for his first Grammy
Jimmie Allen.
Doodoodoodoo
Doodoo doo doo doo
Doodoodoodoo
Doodoo doo doo doo
I'm dreaming
Of a white Christmas
Just like the ones
I used to know
Doodoo doo doo doo
Where the treetops glisten
And children listen
To hear
Sleigh bells in the snow
Doodoo doo doo doo
I'm dreaming
Of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card
I write
Doodoo doo doo doo
May your days, may your days,
may your days
Be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases
be white
Doodoo doo doo doo
Ooh, yeah
I'm dreaming
Of a white Christmas
Just like the ones
I used to know
Doodoo doo doo doo
Where the treetops glisten
And children listen
To hear
Sleigh bells in the snow
Doodoo doowah
badoo badoo
I'm dreaming
Of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card
I write
Yeah
May your days be merry
And briiiiiiight
And may all
your Christmases be
White
Mmm.
Christmas Day Guy.
How can I help you?
Pluto!
Hey, great to hear
your voice, buddy.
Luckily I speak dog.
Is it okay that you got Mickey
and Minnie the same present?
I don't see why not.
What'd you get them?
You got them each a bone.
Hmm.
Oh, I think they're
gonna love any gift
that comes from you.
Blitzen, merry Christmas, buddy.
How'd it go last night?
Yeah, some choppy weather, huh?
But all in all, pretty good.
Right, right.
Well, I think I know
why you're calling.
Blitzen calls me every Christmas
to tell me a joke.
It's kind of a tradition.
Okay, I'm ready.
Hit me.
What do Santa's helpers
learn in school?
I don't know. What?
The elfabet.
[ Laughs ]
Good one.
Olaf calls every year
for suggestions
on where to vacation.
He's always like,
"What do you think of Hawaii?"
I'm like, "Sounds great if you
want to end up as a puddle."
He ends up staying
at his timeshare in Aspen
every year anyway.
Honestly, I can't think
of a better job in the world.
I get to help people
have an awesome Christmas,
and I've made some
great friends along the way.
In fact, I just got invited
to join the toy soldier
softball team,
so that's pretty exciting.
Great bunch of folks.
Merry Christmas, everybody.
And remember,
if you've got a question,
then I got the answer.
Well, a question about
Christmas Day, obviously.
Merry Christmas.
Goofy.
As part of the
50thanniversary celebration
of Walt Disney World Resort,
EPCOT has a brandnew show
called "Harmonious."
It takes many skilled
cast members
to put on this
nighttime spectacular,
and you're about to meet one.
Take a look.
My name is Andrew Appold.
I'm an entertainment technician
at EPCOT at Walt Disney World.
Opening with
the 50th anniversary
of Walt Disney World,
"Harmonious" is a global
celebration of world culture
and a nighttime dreamscape
of Disney music and images
here at EPCOT.
Guests can expect
to see a variety
of different Disney characters
throughout "Harmonious."
The Disney characters
are often silhouetted
so that they can imagine
themselves as a part of the show
and a part
of the global celebration.
During a show, I am located
in the laser control booth,
and I have an interface
that allows me to control
all of the outputs
of the lasers.
"Harmonious" is one of the
largest nighttime spectaculars
that Disney has ever built.
We are very excited
that it is finally open
for all our guests to see.
There's more magic on the way
with a holiday performance
by Norah Jones.
Merry Christmas.
And Santa Claus touches down
in Disneyland Resort
in California.
Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!
Announcer: Legend has it magic
can be found in the waves.
It whispers in the wind,
calling you back to explore,
to swim the seas and feel aloha,
to get lost in the wonder
and journey beyond
your imagination,
reminding you it's time
to reawaken your legend.
Let your legend begin at Aulani,
a oneofakind
Disney resort in Hawaii.
Hi, everyone.
I'm Ashley Nicole Williams.
I'm Jessica Sutton.
And I'm Taylor Hickson.
And we're on the set
of Freeform's
"Motherland: Fort Salem."
All: And we wish you
a happy holiday
We wish you a happy holiday
We wish you a happy holiday
and lots of good cheer
I am so grateful
I get to be here
experiencing the magic
of Walt Disney World
on Christmas Day.
Wow, what a gift to be able
to come together again
and enjoy the parks,
the music, and each other.
This next artist is a singer,
a songwriter,
and an amazing musician
who I've loved
listening to for years.
She just released her
very first Christmas album,
"I Dream of Christmas,"
and now she's here
to give us a sample.
Performing "Run Rudolph Run,"
here's ninetime
Grammy Awardwinning singer,
the incomparable Norah Jones.
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ "Run Rudolph Run" plays ]
Out of all the reindeer,
you know you're the mastermind
Run, run, Rudolph
Randolph
ain't too far behind
Run, run, Rudolph
Santa's gotta
make it to town
Santa, make him hurry
Tell him he can
take the freeway down
Oh, run, run, Rudolph
'Cause I'm reelin'
like a merrygoround
Oohoohooh, oohoohooh
Oohoohooh
Oohoohooh, oohoohooh
Oohoohooh, oohoohooh
Oohoohooh oohooh
oohoohooh
Said Santa to a little girl
"What have you
been longin' for?"
"All I want for Christmas is a
rock'n'roll electric guitar"
And then away went Rudolph
Whizzin' like
a shootin' star
Run, run, Rudolph
Santa's gotta
make it to town
Santa, make him hurry
Tell him he can
take the freeway down
Oh, run, run, Rudolph
I'm reelin'
like a merrygoround
Said Santa to a little boy
"What have you
been longin' for?"
All he wants for Christmas
Is a rock'n'roll
electric guitar
And then away went Rudolph
Whizzin' like
a shootin' star
Run, run, Rudolph
Santa's gotta
make it to town
Santa, make him hurry
Tell him he can
take the freeway down
I said, run, run, Rudolph
I'm reelin'
like a merrygoround
Oohoohooh, oohoohooh
Oohoohooh
Oohoohooh, oohoohooh
Oohoohooh
Oohoohooh ooh ooh
Oohoohooh
[ Song ends ]
[ Cheers and applause ]
Thank you.
Merry Christmas.
Happy holidays, everybody.
I'm Malika Andrews.
And I'm Richard Jefferson.
Hey, Richard,
I got a question for you.
What do you got?
Who do you think would win
in a game of oneonone?
Would it be Chip or Dale?
Ooh.
That's a tough one.
Look, I'm team Dale all the way.
His jump shot
is just a thing of beauty.
That's an
interesting choice.
I like them both,
so I'm not going to pick.
Okay.
But either way, I think
it would be a great game.
And here's some news,
right?
ESPN and ABC have teamed up
to give basketball fans
not one, but five great
NBA Christmas Day games.
That's over 13 hours
of coverage.
Oh, that's right, and ESPN
coverage starts at the historic
Madison Square Garden
in New York City
when the Knicks
play the Hawks.
And ABC's tripleheader,
it tips off
with the defending
champion Bucks
as they take on
the Boston Celtics.
And the slate includes
a blockbuster primetime matchup
at 8:00 Eastern
as the Lakers face off
against the Nets in L. A.
It's gonna be a good one.
Merry Christmas, everybody.
It's NBA on Christmas Day.
This Christmas celebration
keeps going
with a festive performance
by Darren Criss.
Jingle all the cruise
Plus, the moment we've all
been waiting for
The one and only Santa Claus
is next.
Buzz:
To infinity and beyond.
To infinity and beyond.
To infinity and beyond.
Hi, Woody.
Announcer: This kind of magic
only lasts so long.
Let's celebrate
the little moments
while they're still little.
Hi. Cierra Ramirez from
Freeform's "Good Trouble" here,
wishing you a happy holiday.
Hope you have a happy, healthy,
and prosperous new year.
You got to love the holidays
the lights, the decorations,
fun times with family,
and, of course, the music.
Here to get you on your feet
dancing to his Christmas beat
is Emmy Awardwinning
triple threat
actor, singer,
and songwriter Darren Criss.
Whoo!
[ Cheers and applause ]
[ "Christmas Dance" plays ]
Come on, it's Christmas
Well, come on,
it's Christmastime
Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh
Well, here we are again
The magical season when
All of the trees
are dressed in light
Time for a new December
Time for you to remember
The time of the year
to end it right
So play a song that makes us
make out when it snows
A holly jolly one
that everybody knows
It goes
Get up, get down
Well, come on,
it's Christmas
Rockin' around
Come on, it's Christmastime
Time to really take a chance
So can I ask
May I have this Christmas
May I have
this Christmas dance?
Carols from a choir
Family by the fire
Listening to Mariah sing
The happiness in my head is
Fuller than Santa's sled is
And the only "Cole" I'll get
is ol' Nat King
And when they pump it up,
my favorite Yuletide cheer
My heart goes
thumpitythumpthump
Every time you're near
When I hear
Get up, get down
Well, come on,
it's Christmas
Rockin' around
Come on, it's Christmastime
Time to really take a chance
So can I ask
May I have this Christmas
Can I have
this Christmas dance?
Want to dance
We gon' twist, twist,
twist, twist
Twist it like ya made it
on the naughty list
And then shake, shake,
shake, shake
Shake it while ya waitin'
for your cookies to bake
And now frost
Chill, one more time
We said twist, twist,
twist, twist
Twist it like ya made it
on the naughty list
And then shake, shake,
shake, shake
Shake it while ya waitin'
for your cookies to bake
And now frost
Chill, baby
'Cause at an office party
singin' falalas
I mean, how'd ya think the
big man first met Mrs. Claus
He said
Get up, get down
Come on, it's Christmas
Rockin' around
Come on, it's Christmastime
Time of year
to really take a chance
So can I ask
May I have this Christmas
It's all that I ask
this Christmas
May I have
this Christmas dance?
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Come on, it's Christmas
Yeah, yeah, yeah
[ Cheers and applause ]
Merry Christmas, everybody.
We love you.
Thank you so much.
It's the moment
we've all been waiting for.
I'm so excited.
I mean, Santa's gonna
be here any second.
Man, check out that tree.
It's incredible.
You know,
I've always wondered
how they got all the ornaments
up there.
Elves.
Incredible tree climbers.
No way.
Ooh, here come the reindeer,
which means Santa's sleigh
is right behind them.
All the way
from the North Pole
straight to
Main Street, U. S. A.,
there he is,
the magical man himself, Santa.
Santa!
Mele Kalikimaka, Sherry.
Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas,
my friends.
Joyeux Noel.
Buon Natale.
Wait.
Wow!
OMG!
In every language.
Santa knows my name.
I have chills.
That's right, Sherry.
He knows your name, my name,
and everyone else's
around the world.
I've had a great time
hosting with you.
You're one of my favorite
people on Earth.
And merry Christmas
to all of you
from the happiest place
on Earth.
The same, Trevor.
So much fun. This was, like,
the best day of my life.
And I mean it.
Thanks to all of you.
Merry Christmas
and happy holidays, everyone.
But now I need to get my selfie
with Santa Claus.
You better hurry
before he gets gone.
Aah!
Careful.
Santa!
Alright, good luck
with that, Sherry.
Santa!
Trevor:
What a great magical day.
Remember that "grownish"
returns to Freeform
with allnew episodes
on January 27th,
and you can catch Sherry
on allnew episodes
of "Good Trouble" coming soon.
Back to you, Derek and Julianne.
One love, merry Christmas,
God bless.
You know, Derek,
this is going down
as one of my favorite
Christmases ever
because we were able
to come together
with friends
and loved ones again.
Yes, that's the real gift
of the holidays,
and we're so fortunate
to be here
at the most magical place
on Earth
on the most magical day
of the year with all of you.
We hope you enjoyed
the parade.
And thank you so much,
Trevor Jackson, Sherry Cola,
and all the wonderful
performers.
Both:
Merry Christmas, everybody.
See you next year.
See you next year.
