Disney's Summer Magic Quest (2022) Movie Script

[Yvette Nicole Brown]
Tonight, some of your favorite
Disney Stars have been given
exclusive access
to be the only guests
inside EPCOduring the Walt Disney World
50th Anniversary,
the world's most magical
celebration.
[excited screaming]
[Yvette] They'll compete
in an incredible summer quest
and experience the magic
of possibility at EPCOT...
[all]
Wow!
[Yvette] ...in ways
that no one ever has.
-Look at this!
-Whoo!
[Yvette] To bring the world
together in celebration!
-Go, go, go, go!
-Come on!
-Watch out!
-[screams]
-[screams] Whoa!
-[screams]
-[Pearce Joza] Get in there!
-Whoo!
-[grunts]
-Aah!
[Yvette] Whichever team
finishes the quest first
before sunrise
wins the first-ever
Disney Summer Magic Quest!
[contestants cheering]
[all cheering]
-Let's go!
-Let's go!
It's time to get
this big night started.
Let's meet our teams. First up,
it's the Zombies superstars:
Meg Donnelly
and Pearce Joza!
- Summer Magic Quest!
-Whoo!
-We're in here in EPCOT.
-Finally!
-Unbelievable!
-Hey!
[Yvette]
And they'll be facing off
against their
Zombies 3 co-stars,
Kylee Russell
and Matt Cornett!!
I'm so excited to be
here at Magic Quest!
This is going to be awesome!

[Pearce] Wow! To be
the only guests in the park
is unbelievable!
[Meg Donnelly]
EPCOT is my favorite park
in Walt Disney World.
This is a total
dream come true.
[Matt Cornett]
This is incredible.
Spaceship Earth is
just as magical as ever.
[Kylee Russell]
I've always dreamt of seeing
EPCOT at night
with no one else around.
-[all laughing]
-Hey, hey, hey.
-You're going down, down, down.
-I don't think so!
-I don't think so!
-[overlapping chatter]
-Yeah!
-Nuh-uh!
-We got this!
-We got this!
You kidding me?!
-Dream team, right here.
-Mm-hmm.
Meg took the win the last time,
but I'm ready to take it back.
Meg, we're comin' for ya.
-[tablet ringing]
-Aw, we got this!
Oh, we're getting calls.
-Oh, my.
-Yo, hello!
-Hi!
-[laughter]
Welcome to EPCOT,
where the impossible
becomes possible.
And on this quest,
anything is possible.
These are your Magic Maps.
This is how I'm gonna
tell you where to go
and how the game is played.
-Let's do it.
-Do it, let's go!
This'll be easy enough.
[Yvette] Tonight, we are racing
around the world and beyond!
-Whoo! Can't wait.
-Awesome, let's go!
[Yvette] You're going
to compete head-to-head
through the the magic
of Walt Disney World
and the neighborhoods
of EPCOT.
This is my first time
doing this.
Is this how, like,
it usually goes?
Oh, no. This time,
we're going head-to-head.
I love that we're all going
on the same quest
together this time!
The Blue should be nervous,
because we're pros at this.
[Yvette]
You'll get clues that lead you
to your next destination.
And whichever team
arrives first
will win an advantage
in that challenge.
Oh, so we're gonna have
every advantage.
-Yeah, we're gonna be first.
-Nuh-uh!
So this time, it's more of
a mental game
and physical game?
Means sharp in the brain,
-strong in the body!
-Uh-huh. [growls]
I've already done
two Magic Quests.
You have any pointers for me?
-Just give it all you got.
-I can do that.
Whoever finishes
the entire quest first wins,
and Disney will
make a donation
on the team's behalf
to Special Olympics.
-That's awesome!
-That's so awesome!
Whoa!
And to start your quest,
here's a surprise guest
with your first clue.
What's up, guys!
-Milo!
-Milo! Oh, my gosh!
-Yo, it's Milo!
-Aah! Milo!
-Hey!
-Hey, Milo-Mi!
Yo, yo, yo!
I missed you so much.
I'm so sorry I couldn't
be there with you.
But you know, I wouldn't
want to miss a quest.
And I will be here
to give you clues
along the whole way,
starting now
with your first clue.
Oh, we're already
getting a clue!
-OK, uh...
-Wow, that was fast, OK.
There are many cultures
in the world, but in fact,
we have more similarities
than differences.
And that is what
unites us together.
The first destination
flies a flag
featuring the colors
red and white.
-Red and white, red and white.
-Wow, that is a difficult clue.
-Um...
-Italy.
What flags have
red and white? Uh...
To give you an extra
crumb of a clue,
this place is also known
for its cheese.
-Cheese.
-Oh, I love some good cheese.
Could be Italy.
It could be Mexico.
France does have Swiss cheese.
OK, either Mexico
or France, right?
Are you feeling bien
about where you're going?
Choose wisely.
- Bien, it has to be--
-Probably France.
No, it has to be Mexico.
It's France for sure.
It's gotta be France, OK.
-It's France.
-No, I don't think so.
-It's gotta be France!
-I think it's Mexico,
because bien, "muy bien."
But bien also sounds French.
Your Disney Summer Magic Quest
begins... now!
-[horn blows]
-Go, go, go, go, go!
[Matt] Let's go!
Before them, come on!
[Meg]
Run! [screaming]
Blue Team is going down!
Go, go, go, go, go, go!
We've got to get there first
to get that advantage.
-On to France!
-Oh! Oh, how nice!
-That's actually so cute.
-Oh, I love it.
-OK, let's--
-OK, I'm coming, I'm coming.

-Oh, wow, it's so beautiful!
-Look at the Eiffel Tower!
-Oh, wow!
-This is amazing!
We get to France first.
You're kind of mesmerized
as you're walking in.
Feel like we got
a pretty good start.
[Kylee] And we have
an advantage. That's amazing.
Here we go!
First challenge! Whoo-hoo!
[both panting, cheering]
OK, well, they went to France,
right? They're not here.
-[sighs]
-Oh, my God.
-Um...
-Is it a...?
I don't think
anything's happening.
Not a thing.
My bad, Pearce.
You were right.
They can't see it,
but my toe's tapping right now.
-[laughs] I'm very sorry.
-Mm-hmm.
-I'm really, really sorry.
-It's still goin'.
I told you it was France!
I knew it was France!
-Maybe it is France.
-Well, now they're ahead of us!
-Come on! I knew it!
-I'm sorry!
I knew it! I knew it!
I knew it!
-OK, we're going--
-[Pearce] I knew it was France!
I am so frustrated that
we went to the wrong place.
I can't believe
that just happened!
Yo, there is no way
we're letting them win!
Ahh! We made it!
This looks like
a nice place to sit down.
[Pearce]
I told you it was France!
I just thought it was Spanish!
I hear "muy bien" all the time!
-True.
-I just thought it was--
And there's cheese, and--
[sighs] Whatever.
-I was wrong, and I'm sorry.
-OK.
I chose Mexico.
It was not Pearce.
Pearce said France. I take
the full blame for that.
Took it on the chin,
it's fine.
We are still
winning this thing!
-[tablet ringing]
-Oh, hold on.
OK, teams! We're gonna put your
culinary skills to the test!
Be sure to pay attention
to all the sights, sounds,
and smells on
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
so you can figure out
what's on the menu
for your next challenge.
Au revoir!
-OK, let's go!
- Au revior! OK, let's go!
-Which way?
-Which way? This way?
[all]
OK.
-[Matt] Sights, sounds, smells.
-[Meg] Here we go!
[Pearce] I literally
cannot believe we get to ride
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure!
[Meg] It's like Disney magic
brought the whole world
to one place!
I love Ratatouille!
[excited chatter]
[Matt]
There's the Gusteau's!
[Pearce]
Oh! He just winked at me!
-Wow!
-Whoa!
-This is awesome, wow.
-This is incredible.
[Pearce]
This is gonna be great.
[Matt] I think if we pay
attention and see
all the sights, sounds,
and smells.
-We can figure this one out.
-[Kylee] Oh, for sure.
We're the Blue Team.
We can make anything happen.
[Matt]
I mean, you're not wrong.
And, we're off.
Oh, I see we're rat-sized.
[Meg]
I know, isn't this crazy?
-Is that ratatouille? Whoa!
-That's ratatouille!
[both]
Whoa!
Whoa! And I'm falling
in the kitchen.
-[excited chatter]
-Oh, my gosh, that scared me.
[Kylee] It's incredible.
We've shrunk down,
and we're traveling through
this huge kitchen
with all these
massive ingredients.
[Pearce] Is that a turkey leg?
A ham leg.
A ham! That's cheese.
-Lots of cheese.
-Lots of cheese.
-[Kylee] Ooh!
-[Matt] I do smell some--
Oh, some dessert!
Are you kidding me?
Bell peppers, fruit...
Is a bell pepper a fruit?
Oh, look, the wheels
are spinning!
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
Roller skates,
I'm seeing a lot of.
-Skates!
-Yeah, red roller skates.
-I think we're onto something.
-[laughs]
[both screaming]
-OK, this is nuts.
-[Pearce] Oh, my gosh.
-Whoa! Carrot!
-There're mice holding a carrot.
-He's on a little baby!
-Oh, so cute!
Whoa, that was a lemon.
That's a dangerous lemon.
-Whoa! Whoa!
-Aah!
I was trying so hard
to pay attention
to everything around me.
There's so much,
I know I missed
probably 80% of it.
I smell, I smell...
-I smell bread!
-Cheese! Bread, bread, bread!
-Baguette.
-Baguette!
It smells like baguette!
[Matt] What do you think
is the most important thing
for us to be
paying attention to here?
[Kylee]
I don't even know.
But the smells in there
were amazing. Mwah!
The smells were incredible,
must I say.
Based off what
we're seeing inside,
I'm hoping that
the challenge is gonna be
something to do with, like,
running around with food?
[Pearce]
Yeah. I'm feeling a chase.
-Something fast-paced.
-Yeah.
-[chuckles] Yay! That was fun.
-Yay!
That was awesome!
I love Ratatouille.
-Whoo!
-Let's go!
Let's go! Look at all this!
-[Matt] Whoa!
-Oh, my God!
-[Meg] What is it?
-[Pearce] Holy cow.
-[Matt] Little helmet action.
-[tablet rings]
OK, teams!
Hope you paid close attention!
For our main course,
you'll compete head-to-head
and create a delicious
towering sandwich
inspired by the one
Remy was holding
at the end of the adventure.
[Pearce] Do you remember
what was on the sandwich?
[Meg]
No, I don't.
-I remember ham.
-OK, ham.
-And Swiss cheese.
-Yeah.
-Lettuce.
-Lettuce!
[Yvette]
One of you will be the chef,
and the other will be
the server. On skates.
Skates?!
[Yvette]
Blue Team,
since you won the advantage,
you get to choose which roles
the Red Team will play.
-Ooh!
-No way!
That's wildly unfair!
-OK.
-That's big. Oh, man.
OK, Blue Team.
Make your choice.
[Matt] I know Pearce
is really good on skates,
so maybe, I think
we put Meg on skates.
[Kylee] Yeah, that's
what I was thinkin'.
[Matt] The sandwich
is genuinely going to be
taller than her eyesight.
I think that might be best.
I think Meg should skate.
Are you kidding me?!
I'm the clumsiest person alive!
-And Pierce...
-You wanna be chef?
You know I'm
a bad cook, don't ya?
I've had your lasagna.
[all laugh]
Are you good on skates?
Mm, I think so.
-OK, skates, all you.
-OK.
Now, it's time to get cookin'!
Chefs will gather ingredients
four at a time
and stack them
in the correct order
that's listed
on the menu board.
And don't forget the olive.
I won't.
[Yvette]
And just like in Ratatouille,
the servers will
put on roller skates
just like Linguini does
and race through
our cafe course
to deliver the dish
to our hungry critic!
I have the highest
of standards,
and I'm expecting this
to be cordon bleu,
not cordon blech.
-Ooh. OK.
-OK.
[Yvette] Whichever team
gets a good review first, wins!
-I'm not worried.
-Uh, you should be.
-We're so gonna win this.
-Yes, we are!
There is no way
we are letting them win!
[Yvette]
On your marks...
get set, bon appetit!
-[horn blows]
-[excited chatter, cheering]
OK, here we go.
Starting off with that.
Get me one of those.
And I'll just take this.
-OK.
-And this.
[humming]
Come on, Kylee!
Come on, Kylee!
[Kylee] Yeah,
but I'm comin', I'm comin'!
[Meg] Strong start,
strong start.
All right, let's go!
All right, we're good,
we're good, we're good.
Bang, bang, what do we need?
-One, two...
-[groaning]
The critic's getting hungry,
Kylee! We have to hurry!
The sandwich has so many
different ingredients.
You have to remember them
in order and how they go.
I am so stressed.
I feel like
I'm taking up
way too much time.
Pearce is running back
and forth, 'cause he's so fast.
But at the same time,
slow and steady wins the race,
and I can't mess this up.
-I'm starving.
-[Matt] Kylee, come on!
-[Pearce] Heads up, heads up!
-[Kylee] OK!
-Come on, Kylee!
-The ham's really heavy!
OK, OK, OK,
is this everything?
-I think so.
-OK, let's go, let's go.
OK.
Do you wanna go
double-check it?
[Pearce]
OK, bread first.
We're gonna do it over here.
-And then the cheese slice.
-OK.
-Let's go, Chef Kylee.
-Where's the other tomato?
I thought I grabbed tomatoes.
Oh, right here, right here!
Oh, no, it's running.
-Lettuce.
-Lettuce. Two lettuce.
Two lettuces?! No!
-Where's the lettuce?!
-You got three!
-We got three!
-Hey!
[Pearce] Blue straight up stole our lettuce.
-They did! They did!
-Yeah! That was so unfair!
-Does that look good? OK.
-Yeah!
Thanks, chef. Oh, my goodness.
-Oh. OK.
-I got it.
[Matt]
And we dropped an olive.
So, salam-is?
-Go get 'em.
-OK, let's go.
-[Meg] Put it on the cart!
-OK, OK. [groans]
Whoo!
I don't know if I did that
right, but Matt, you got this!
All you! Just go slow
so it doesn't fall off.
-[Meg] OK.
-'Cause I am 98% sure
that is correct.
Ninety-eight percent? Really?
-Ninety-eight point five.
-[groans]
-[Pearce] Slowly, slowly!
-[Meg] Sorry!
[Matt] I'm not nervous at all,
because I see Meg's sandwich
is kind of
falling apart on her cart.
Her sandwich
is gonna be a mess.
Ours is going to look perfect.
Hello! Welcome to Gusteau's.
I hope you are very hungry.
-Oh! I have been waiting.
-OK! [groans]
Is this your first day
on the job?
-I d-- Yes, sir. Yes, it is.
-[groans]
I'm ready to eat a table,
I am so hungry.
[Matt] Oh, hello, wow,
what a yummy sandwich, right?
-Uch! It's just wrong!
-[buzzer]
[Yvette] Sorry, Blue Team.
Your ingredient order
is incorrect. Don't forget,
the customer is always right.
And did they not tell you,
I'm a vegetarian!
-You're a vegetarian?
-[critic groans]
So this is not correct?
They gave me a meat sandwich.
I'd rather eat my beret!
[groans]
-What? Oh, well.
-He's a vegetarian, apparently.
The guy's a vegetarian!
I'm putting ham
and other stuff!
And he doesn't eat meat!
-Get it out of my sight!
-OK.
Kylee, I'm coming back.
He didn't like my sandwich?!
Chef is clearly upset,
because I thought
chef made a great sandwich.
I made an amazing sandwich.
-No meat?
-[groans]
"Lettuce" pretend you didn't
bring me that sandwich.
Slowly, slowly!
Watch that olive!
Come on, come on!
Lift with the legs!
-[groans]
-Yeah, there you go!
-Olive on top!
-Oh, the sal-- Oh!
I'm being attacked
by a sandwich!
-No! Disaster!
-[Meg] You didn't see that.
Sandwich down!
We have a sandwich down!
-I am so sorry!
-[groaning]
-I am so sorry!
-[Pearce] You have to go back!
-You have to go back!
-[Meg] No, I don't!
He's not gonna wanna
eat an olive
that's been on the ground!
Just blow on it!
Just blow on it, it's fine!
Oh, that sandwich
is hurting my feelings.
[blubbers, retches]
[Meg]
I don't know what that critic's
problem is. I mean,
five second rule. It applies.
OK, I'm holdin' on.
-[Pearce] Bring it on home!
-OK! [exclaims]
Oh, goodness gracious.
No!
Two thumbs down. No stars.
Do not recommend!
Dude, look at our tomatoes!
They're wiped out!
All right, so no meat.
He said less meat.
No meat, so let's--
Does it still have to be
in the same order?
Do you need to go check?
I don't-- Go look at the menu,
'cause I don't remember now.
Lettuce, tomato, Swiss.
OK, Kylee,
remember it this time.
-Let's go!
-OK!
-We need to hurry up!
-We're falling way behind!
-[Kylee panting] It's cheese,
-Yes?
lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss.
Did I leave anything?
It's all good!
[both]
Lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss.
-Oh, no.
-[Pearce] It's OK!
-Let's go. Here we go.
-Whoo!
-We're off to win a race.
-Go get 'em!
-Go get 'em!
-OK, I-- Oh!
-Oh.
-Please, please, Meg. Go ahead.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!
-Whoa!
-Whoa! Whoa!
Listen, just 'cause
your sandwich is messed up--
[Pearce]
Go, go, go!
-What'd he say?
-OK. No meat!
No meat? Here, hold on.
You're about to go, get ready.
-Oh, my goodness.
-Mr. Critic, we're coming!
-That's perfect, go!
-Matt, you're doing amazing!
Now, we're talkin'!
OK, here we go.
Hello! Hi, how are ya?
-Oh, it took so long!
-Welcome, again.
I was ready
to order breakfast.
Oh, well, luckily,
we are still here
-with your beautiful sandwich.
-OK.
-[Pearce] Push through it!
-I know!
Who cut the fromage?
That would be our
award-winning chef Kylee.
Matt, is it right!
It has all of the components,
presentation is everything.
Tres bien! This is a sandwich!
-Yes! Kylee!
-[winning bell]
-Really? Aah!
-Oh, my gosh.
-No!
-Oh, man!
-Yes!
-I couldn't believe it!
-We have a perfect sandwich!
-Whoo!
-I hope you enjoy.
-My compliments to the chef.
This is the chef. This is
the compliments to the chef.
- Tres bien.
-Thank you.
Tres, tres, tres, tres bien.
-Good job, Kylee.
-Thank you so much.
I had some reservations,
but in the end...
Mmwah! Delish.
Congratulations!
You have won the advantage!
Now you get to decide on
your mode of transportation
to the next challenge.
Would you like to go for a ride
or go for a glide?
-Ooh. A ride or glide.
-Oh, wow. Um...
-What do you think?
-Glide sounds pretty nice.
Glide sounds very fun.
[Kylee]
We're gonna go with glide.
You are better
at making sandwiches
than you are
at making decisions,
-I'll tell you that.
-[laughter]
-It's true.
-[critic groans]
All right, so we have to ride.
What do you think that means?
I don't know.
Golf cart, perhaps?
Golf cart, hey!
That's a good-- OK.
Like, the little gondola,
like they have in France.
[Pearce] Oh, my gosh.
You're totally right.
It could be a stroller.
[laughs]
-[laughs]
-Possibly.
Here is your clue.
I wrote it myself.
[clears throat] Think of all
the countries in the world.
-OK.
-This country can be
a bowl or a plate.
The main attraction
is really great. They gave us
fireworks, ice cream, and tea.
And beloved bears
for all to look at.
I'm a poet and had no idea
those words rhymed!
-Bowls and plates...
-Bowls and plates.
Dishes?
There's no country
called Dishes.
-It's something great.
-If something was great, I--
[Meg]
The Great Wall of China!
-It's China!
-Yes, it is!
[both]
We're going to China!
Bon voyage!
Go around the world.
-Get away from me.
-Thank you!
-Time to glide.
-Leave me to my dinner.
[sighs]
[excited chatter]
-So, we get to glide, right?
-Oh, this is gliding!
Oh, wait. Oh, this is so cool.
-Is this glide?
-This is glide.
-[laughs] OK.
-Ooh, wow.
Yo, what is that thing?
Let's go, let's go.
Wait, that looks so fun!
Wait, hold, we have
to put gloves on?
Are you ready? Can we go?
No, no, no, wait!
Let us put on our gloves!
Let me situate myself in here.
-We definitely chose right.
-We did.
-We chose right.
-I'm very proud of us.
-Let's go!
-Let's go!
[both]
Let's go!
[Yvette]
Teams ready?
Your around-the-world challenge
starts... now!
[horn blows]
[grunting] No, no!
-[grunting continues]
-[excited chatter]
[Kylee]
Look at me go!
I'm going!
-Yeah! Yeah!
-Here we go.
[Matt]
Oh, this is not fair!
-Oh, no!
-[excited chatter, cheering]
Oh, theirs is really fast!
[Matt]
Theirs is really fast!
Oh, wow, maybe we did
choose the wrong thing.
-[bell ringing]
-Game over, huh? [laughs]
Once we got goin',
Blue Team ate our dust.
-In the dust!
-Buh-bye.
[bell ringing continues]
[Kylee]
How are you going so fast?
[Matt]
I don't know, but I am.
-[ringing]
-Yahoo!
-Is this Morocco?
-Yeah.
Slow down! You guys
are moving so fast!
All right, now, come on!
Oh, I'm catchin' ya.
I'm catchin' ya.
-[Matt] Come on, Kylee!
-[Kylee] I'm trying!
I don't know why
it's not working for me!
Oh, I'm keeping
in tandem with you.
If I stop your pedal,
will that--?
No!
[all exclaiming]
[Kylee]
Let's keep a safe distance.
-[Kylee] Matthew, come on!
-[Matt] Come on, Kylee!
How are you going so fast?
I struggled, big time.
Wait, there we go.
Got the groove again.
Matt's going all fast
all of a sudden!
-He's figured it out!
-[Matt] Yeah!
-[Pearce] This is crazy!
-Whoa, whoa, whoa!
[Matt]
Look at this downhill.
[all cheering]
[Kylee] Oh, brake!
You're going too fast!
I felt like, I was, like,
sliding around the corners,
like drifting
around the corners.
-You were!
-It was like--
I was goin' full race mode.
[sighs] Put your back into it.
It's so hard to pedal,
but we got this!
Here we go! Oh,
I see China! I see China,
-We're almost there.
-Is that where it is?
[Meg]
It literally feels like
we're riding
around the world.
[Pearce]
It's like EPCOT brought
the whole world to one place.
Come on, come on,
Matt, come on!
It's a downhill,
Matt, come on!
He's working, it's working!
[excited chatter, cheering]
Oh, my gosh, it does.
Holy cow!
-I'm making a right...
-[excited chatter, cheering]
[Meg]
Right, right, right, right!
[excited chatter]
-Let's go, let's go!
-Run, run, run!
[all panting]
[Matt]
We're in the China pavilion,
the Temple of Heaven,
it's beautiful.
-This is amazing.
-This is so amazing.
-This is gorgeous.
-It's beautiful.
Yeah, what is the plan here?
Do you guys know anything?
I don't know.
Should we look for clues?
Possibly.
[Meg] Do you think
the clue could be in here?
[Matt]
Should we check? Let's see.
-[fanfare]
-Oh, my gosh!
-So cool!
-This is great.
-Hello!
-[excited chatter]
-Surprise!
-[Meg] What are you doing here?
-[Matt] What's up!
-I had to surprise you guys!
Come on, you know I
couldn't miss a Magic Quest.
[Kylee] It's so exciting
to be surprised by Milo.
He was my old teammate.
To have him back here is great.
And you're an amazing
teammate, too.
Thank you, Kylee, thank you.
It was great to see Milo.
And maybe he can give me
a couple pointers.
[excited shouting]
I thought you weren't
gonna be here!
I know, did you really think
I would miss this?
Come on, let's go
play some games!
-OK!
-Games, that's great!
-Oh, my gosh, it's Milo!
-It's Milo!
-My boy!
-And he's gonna host
-the game for us?
-I can't believe it!
I'm so excited!
He's a sneaky one!
We are going to be
playing a game I invented
called Around the World
Musical Chairs.
I know, I know,
give it up for my game.
Yeah, OK, great name,
great name.
[Milo]
All right, but first,
we're gonna need some help
from our special guests.
Everybody, say hello
to the Russell family!
[all gasping]
[all]
Surprise!
Mom, Dad, what are you guys
doing here? Hi, Halle!
-Hey, Kylee!
-Hey, Kylee!
[excited chatter]
[Pearce]
Long time, no see!
-Hi, Meg!
-Hi, Meg! Hi, Pearce!
-Hi!
-Hi, guys!
Are y'all ready to play?
-[all] Yes!
-All right, let's do this.
You familiar
with musical chairs?
-[all] Yeah!
-All right, so...
The Russell fam's
gonna play the music.
When the music stops,
you sit down in a bean bag,
all right?
Sound simple enough?
-[Matt] Yes.
-[Milo] But there's a twist!
When you sit down
in the bean bags,
you see they're
multi-colored, right?
-[all] Yes.
-The Russell family
is gonna pick out
of this hat,
and there are little balls
with corresponding colors
-to the bean bag chairs.
-Great.
[Milo] If they pick the color
that you are sitting in,
you get to advance
to the next round, all right?
When both team members
have advanced,
I will give you
your next clue.
Does that sound
like a plan or not?
Russell fam, are you ready?
[all]
We're ready!
Norman, spin that track.
Spin that track, Norman.
-All right, let's go.
-[music plays]
[Milo] Let's go, come on!
All right.
They are running
around the chairs.
[Meg]
This dancing is so much fun!
Did a little prance
around the ol' bean bags.
[both laugh]
Yo, what if I just
back flipped right now?

-[music stops]
-Oh, music stopped! OK.
OK, here we go. They're all
in their bean bags.
The color is...
-Yellow!
-Yes!
-Go, Matt! Way to go, Matt!
-Matt, go, Matt!
Right there.
I'm proud of you.
All right, you guys
ready to keep going?
-Yes.
-Ready!
Your daughter is still
in the game.
Russell family,
let's spin that track.
-Right.
-[music playing]
-Hey, hey!
-[Meg] Come on!
-[Matt] Let's go, Kylie!
-I'm trying my best here.
-[Matt] Yes.
-Hey, hey!
-[music stops]
-[Milo] OK, sit in your chair.
All right, it's time
to pick a color.
What color is it gonna be?
-Purple!
-[excited shouting]
This is huge! This is huge!
Here we go.
Congratulations, Pearce.
-Thank you, thank you.
-All right.
It's a girls showdown
right now.
We got Meg and Kylee
still in.
[both]
A showdown!
-[Milo] Here we go.
-Let's go!
-[music playing]
-[Milo] All right. Hey, hey.
-[Pearce] Hey, hey, hey.
-[Milo] Hey, hey, hey, hey.
-Hey, hey, hey, hey.
-[Matt] OK, vibes. Yeah.
[excited chatter]
-Go, Kylee! Go, Kylee!
-Go, Kylee! Go, Kylee!
You have to get
on the right color!
-I'm trying!
-[laughs]
OK, let's go!
-[music stops]
-[all] Oh!
[Milo] The music stopped!
All right, here we go.
-Here we go.
-OK, I'm picking.
[imitating drumroll]
[Milo]
The winner is...
-Purple!
-[all cheering]
[Milo]
You saved your daughter!
-We won! We won!
-We won!
Yes! [laughs]
-[all cheering]
-Go, Kylee!
[Milo]
Blue Team, you advance!
And I didn't even cheat!
-Kylee, you did good!
-I swear, we did not cheat!
[Meg]
We lost again!
Yeah, we're down two!
Hey, we can make
a comeback. We got this.
I'm being quiet so
the Red Team doesn't hear.
But I'm gonna give you
your clue to your next place.
It's not even a clue, I'm gonna
just tell you where it is.
-OK?
-[Matt] OK.
I don't think they want
the Red Team to hear.
Your next place is
the Wonders of Xandar pavilion.
-Go! Go!
-OK, OK, let's go.
Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!
Bye, Halle!
[all]
Bye!
-I love you!
-Love you guys!
-Love you guys!
-Bye, Ky!
I know that your daughter
just left,
but we gotta keep playing.
Meg, good luck!
You're doing a solo round!
-Here we go!
-[music playing]
-Come over here, Pearce.
-Come on, Meg!
-I'm going.
-[all] Go, Meg! Go, Meg!
[Milo]
Hey, hey, hey! Go, Meg!
It's your birthday!
We at Disney World!
-Have a good time!
-Go, Meg!
-[Milo] Hey, whoa, 360!
-[music stops]
-[yelps]
-[Matt] Oh!
[Milo]
All right, here we go.
Fingers crossed.
[Milo] Let's pick a ball
out of the hat.
And the color is...
-Purple!
-[cheering]
-Let's go!
-Good job, Meg!
All right. You guys
want the clue?
Are you really ready?
All right.
It's the Xandar pavilion.
It's the Wonders
of Xandar pavilion!
Did you listen to me
tell the Blue Team?
-I heard you!
-Just go, just go!
Oh, come on, come on!
How cool is that?
Your daughter
is by far
the best dancer here.
-Don't tell the other team.
-[all laugh]
[excited chatter]
[Yvette] Blue Team has made it
to Wonders of Xandar pavilion.
-Whoa! Look at this!
-Oh, wow!
This thing is so much
bigger in person!
Wow! Look at this!
-Are you kidding me?
-What is that?
It's the Nova Corps
Star Blaster!
It's the coolest thing ever!
I want to pilot one.
Would love to pilot
one of those, so bad.
You could probably
pilot one, too. Let's try.
-Where do we get our license?
-Yeah! Um...
[Matt]
It's incredible. It's amazing.
I'm geekin' out here.
-Come on!
-I don't even like
-musical chairs!
-We gotta get to Xandar!
-We're really falling behind.
-Yeah. Come on.
Whoa!
-Wow, this is awesome!
-This is so great!
[Meg] Are you ready
to save the galaxy?
You don't have to ask me twice.
I was born ready!
Welcome to
the Wonders of Xandar,
the first other-world
pavilion at EPCOT.
We're so excited to have
guests from Terra here.
Please, step inside
and explore our world.
As you Terrans say,
it's totally sweet.
-Oh! OK!
-Sweet!
There are so many wonders
in the universe.
We Xandarians and Terrans
have much in common,
including our mutual love
for exploration.
Who is your favorite
Guardian of the Galaxy?
-Rocket! Of course!
- Mm. I am Groot.
[Xandarian] Our beautiful
planet Xandar is known
for many things, especially
our advantaged technology.
[Meg] Xandar has
some really cool technology.
Xandar is most famous
for the Cosmic Generator,
an advanced piece
of Xandarian technology
that creates jump points,
artificial tunnels
that act as shortcuts linking
distant points in space.
And now, you'll be
transported into a Nova ship
above your planet
for a demonstration
of the Cosmic Generator.
OK! Do we go in?
Now, step forward into
the center of the chamber.
You're going to love this.
-Yay!
-Here we go!
-[all chuckling]
-Whoa!
Oh, my goodness!
This is crazy!
[excited chatter]
Whoa! Whoa!
Is it cosmically generating
right now?
-[Pearce] Whoa!
-[Meg] That's not normal, right?
-OK, that's--
-[Xandarian] We're here.
-Whoa!
-Welcome.
-Are we on the ship?
-[Xandarian] We are on the ship.
Wait, is that
the generator over there?
[Xandarian] The Cosmic Generator
is right there.
-What?
-Whoa! Whoa!
The Cosmic Generator
has been stolen!
That's probably not good.
-[alarm sounding]
-[Xandarian] Terrans, listen up.
We need your help to find
the Cosmic Generator
and save the galaxy!
Hop on board your ship
as fast as you can!
-Go!
-[excited chatter]
Where do we go?!
Where do we go?!
This way, this way! OK, OK!
Are we going to
the ship right now?
-Is this the right--?
-I think so!
This is real!
This is really happening!
I'm supposed to be
saving a galaxy!
-Fast walk, fast walk.
-Come on, come on, come on!
Jump points, planets.
Jump points, planets.
-Do we have a plan?
-No.
Slingshot!
Yes, we just kind of wing it.
-OK.
-And then we win!
-OK!
-Have fun, but win.
Win. And then have fun.
-[horn sounds]
-Red Team, go.
I literally cannot believe
we get to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy:
Cosmic Rewind!
-[both cheering]
-Bye!
I am so excited
to ride this ride.
Oh, this is nice!
-[gasps] I'm so nervous.
-Very cool.
[Meg and Pearce exclaiming]
[Pearce]
That's a jump point!
[Meg & Pearce]
This is amazing!

I see a planet. A Celestial,
that's what it's called.
[Meg] I'm thinking
we're going forwards,
but we went whoo!
[all screaming]
[Kylee]
There was so much goin' on.
[Matt]
So much happening.
[Meg] All the stars and the
planets and the jump points!
[Matt] Jump point to
jump point to jump point.
I'm going galaxy to galaxy.
[Kylee] Oh, look, there's
another jump point!
-[all exclaiming]
-We're going sideways!
[Kylee]
There is so much going on.
[Pearce]
Too much to process.
[Meg]
I was not expecting to turn.
-It's the moon!
-It's the moon!
[all screaming]
-[Meg] Jump point!
-[Kylee] Look at the jump point!
-Go through it!
-Wow.
[Pearce] I had no idea,
but this ride
is literally
out of this world.
-[Meg] Best ride ever.
-[Pearce] Mm-hmm.
Pretty cool!
That was pretty cool.
Think this makes us
official Guardians?
-For sure.
-Mm-hmm.
-[excited chatter]
-I loved that ride!
What is going on here?
Wait, why are there
planets everywhere?
-What is this?
-Um...
-[tablet ringing]
-Oh!
-Someone calling?
-Yeah.
OK. Oh, there's-- Oh.
-Yo! What's up!
-Hey!
Welcome back to Earth, teams.
Now, you're just in time
for your Cosmic Kickoff.
You stars are going to kick it
throughout the galaxy.
You'll kick off the game,
then send as many planets
through your jump points
-any way you can.
-OK! That's awesome.
[Yvette] Scored planets
will re-enter the game
through another jump point,
ready to be kicked
or thrown for more points.
Each planet is worth one point,
until the last 20 seconds,
when every planet
-becomes worth two points.
-Double the trouble!
-[both laugh]
-[Yvette] Whichever team
can score the most planets
in 90 seconds wins.
-Yes?
You made it here first,
so you won the advantage.
You get to kick off the game
with one free shot
before you all send
your planets into orbit.
-Wow! That's crazy.
-What!
-Go!
-[horn blows]
-Oh, go, go!
-Go, go, go, go!
-I can kick really well. Yeah.
-OK, you take the kicks.
-Awesome. OK, cool.
-I'll throw. And we'll be good.
So, we're going in the kickoff,
so you know what that means.
-Yeah?
-We're gonna beat them!
I wasn't expecting
the goals to move!
Oh, it moves!
That's right, this one?
Yeah, that would be
the best, I think.
-Oh, yeah.
-This feels right.
Yeah, once it
gets right there...
[Yvette]
Three, two, one.
[horn sounds]
-Yeah!
-Here we go!
[Yvette]
Look out, Blue Team!
Oh, that just ruined it!
-Aah! Kylee!
-Aah! So sorry!
Yeah, I'm a little stressed.
Not gonna lie.
It is a little stressful.
-[Meg] Watch out!
-Oh!
[excited chatter]
[Yvette] Red Team scores!
The game is on!
Red Team scores again!
I need more!
Aah, I'm so sorry!
[grunts]
[Matt] It's hectic,
and I think every bit
of strategy going
into the game
kind of flies out the window.
-Bang!
-This is absolute chaos!
I had no idea
planets were so bouncy.
[Yvette]
Red Team scores again!
It's four to two
with time running out.
Blue Team scores a point,
but Red answers right back.
Blue sinks another planet!
It's a one-point game!
-Bang.
-[groans]
Hey! It bounced in!
-Aah!
-[both laugh]
I'm not aiming for you,
Pearce, I promise.
[Pearce] Throwing it is--
is a lot harder than it seems.
-Yes!
-[grunts]
-Hey, let's go!
-[both] Eat planets, Blue Team!
-Aah!
-Yes!
[Yvette] Blue pulls ahead,
Red catches up.
Dang it!
[Yvette] It's 7-7 as we
hit the final 20 seconds!
Oh!
[Yvette] Every planet
is now worth two points.
Red Team lands a goal,
and another.
It's 11-7, Red Team!
Oh, yes, that's two!
This is crazy!
[Yvette]
Time is running out.
Blue Team ties the game.
It's planetary madness!
-[buzzer sounds]
-[Yvette] Well done, teams!
Now, it's time to see who wins
with a galactic tie-breaker.
-Tie game.
-[Matt] It's a tie?!
That's a shoot-off!
[Yvette]
Each team gets three planets
to kick into
their jump point.
Whichever team scores
the most planets wins.
I think Kylee is gonna
kick the, uh,
the first,
the penalty shot here.
Let's go, Kylee!
Let's go, Kylee!
Going into the tie-breaker.
It all comes down to this.
-[groaning]
-Got it.
Wait for it
to come back around.
You're right.
Oh!
There it-- There it is! Oh!
-[buzzer]
-[Yvette] Oh, it's a miss
for Blue Team's first
tie-breaking kick.
No pressure, Pearce!
[Yvette] Score!
Red Team is ahead!
-All right, all right.
-You got this!
Kick whichever one.
I'm gonna kick the little one.
-[buzzer]
-That's great!
-It's OK!
-Get in there!
-You did so good!
-Get in there, come on!
-You got this!
-You did a great job, Matt.
-Line it up!
-OK! Line it up.
-Big breath, big breath.
-[both cheering]
-[horn sounds]
-Are you kidding me?!
[Yvette]
Red Team wins!
-It was a good effort.
-Yeah, we tried.
[tablet ringing]
Oh, yo, come on!
Who could it be
-Whoo!
-Yo, Milo, what's up!
How are you doing, man?
Congratulations, Red Team!
You have made your planet proud.
Now, here is your clue
to the finish.
I have a core,
but I'm not an apple.
I have a crust,
but I'm not a pizza.
I'm made of cultures,
but I am not yogurt.
-What am I?
-Peel off, peel off, peel off.
-OK, OK, OK.
-Oh, fine.
We'll take our conversation
over here, as well.
"Cultures, but not yogurt"?
-"Crust, but I'm not..."
-Not a pizza.
-Is it the--?
-Oh, no, it's a planet!
-It's a planet!
-It was made of what?
It was something,
but it wasn't yogurt.
A planet has a crust,
and a planet has a core.
But it wasn't yogurt.
I shoulda paid
attention better.
It's gotta be Spaceship Earth.
That's what it is!
Let's go!
-Let's go!
-Well, let's go, too!
We're going that way, too!
-[Matt] Run, run, run, run!
-I'm going!
-OK!
-[laughs] Wait up!
-[cheering]
-Let's go! Look at this!
-Whoa! What is this?
-This is crazy.
-What is this?
-Awesome, this is awesome.
-Huh. Interesting.
-This is crazy.
-We gotta get in those?
-Get in those? What!
-[tablet ringing]
-Hold on, hold on.
-Gettin' a ring, huh?
-Let's see here.
Great job, teams!
You made it to the finale!
And you'll be racing
through our course
-in these space spheres!
-[cheering]
[Yvette] This one's a relay.
You'll each have to
roll your sphere
around the course
and through all the gates.
Red Team,
since you won
the last challenge,
you get the advantage
of a five-second head start.
-Whoo!
-Five seconds?!
-Listen, we have five seconds.
-Five seconds!
That is huge!
That's, like, the entire race.
I think five seconds is
gonna make a huge difference.
-Massive.
-[Yvette] The first team
through the finish line wins
Disney's Summer Magic Quest!
-[cheering]
-Let's go!
-I've got it, let's go!
-We've got this.
Be the ball. Be the ball.
Run as fast as you can.
All right, Red Team,
you start first.
On your mark, get set...
-[horn sounds]
-Go, go, go!
We're gonna be fine.
[groans] Go, go, go!
[horn sounds]
[Matt]
Go, Kylee, go, go, go!
[Pearce]
Yo! Come on!
[Matt]
I'm giving you a push.
[Pearce]
Don't lose focus!
-And you're off!
-[panting]
To your left, to your left!
[Yvette] Red Team made the most
of their head start,
but Blue is catching up fast.
[Matt] Dude, that
five seconds is so not fair.
[Pearce] It's crazy,
I know, I know.
-But hey!
-Oh, my goodness. [panting]
[Yvette]
Look out, teams!
There's a lot
of traffic tonight!
-[exclaims]
-[Pearce] Keep going!
-Keep going!
-[Matt] Stop her, Kylee!
Stop her! Stop her!
[Pearce]
Push through!
-Push!
-Aah! [panting]
-[Matt] Hurry! Come on!
-[Pearce] Come on! Come on!
-[Matt] Come on!
-[yelping]
You're good,
you're good, you're good!
I'm coming, I'm coming,
I'm coming, I'm coming! Ow!
[Matt] She's going out there.
She's going out there, OK.
The race with
us girls was close,
but now it's up to Matt
to bring it home.
-Get in there, buddy.
-Give me a push.
[excited chatter]
Go! Go!
Ha!
-No, Pearce! No!
-Do you need help?
-Aah!
-Wow!
Red Team is ahead as they
pass the halfway point.
If Blue Team doesn't
do something,
their hope of winning
will be... deflated.
Ow!
It's very tough.
My head was hitting the top,
I think I might've been
a little too tall for it.
You probably didn't
have that problem.
I was fine.
Ow!
Matt looks like a giant
inside of that
inflatable hamster ball.
-[laughs]
-I don't know!
[Meg]
I felt my core engaged!
[Kylee laughs]
Whoo! Let's go!
[Meg] Let's go!
Let's go! Let's go!
All right,
this is my defense!
Yo, there is absolutely no way
I'm letting Matt roll by me.
You and Meg may have had
a little bump collision,
but Pearce and I
had a full-on battle.
I was, like, trying
to block him
from getting through the gate
to the finish line.
No!
[Yvette]
They've got to hurry up!
[Meg]
Let's go, whoo!
You gotta be
the space sphere.
Be the space sphere.
You're gonna win this race.
-[Meg] Come on, Pearce!
-Come on, you've got this!
-Come on, come on!
-Come on, you're so close!
-Oh, you're so close!
-[Meg] Yes!
-Aah!
-[buzzer sounds]
[Yvette]
Red Team wins!
[both cheering]
Come out!
-Let's go!
-Yay!
[Meg]
We won! We won!
[both] We did it!
We did it! We did it!
Sorry for you, Blue Team,
but I would feel so bad
if I wasn't busy celebrating!
Feelin' blue?
You nailed that!
-I mean, listen...
-That was so hard!
Matt and Kylee did amazing!
First half got me,
-not gonna lie.
-Wow.
But we just did
a little better.
-Yes!
-Congrats.
-Yes!
-Congrats on the, well...
You know what?
I don't think
I can think of anybody
-I'd rather quest with.
-Mm.
This was the best summer ever!
[all cheering]
[Yvette] And to celebrate
your victory with you,
it's Mickey Mouse
and Minnie Mouse!
Minnie, hello, hi!
-Hello, hi!
-Hey, Mickey!
-You ready?
-We did it, yes!
-We got it!
-[Yvette] Now it's time
to open your trophy,
trigger Harmonious,
and unite the world
in harmony!
[both]
One, two, three!
-Boom!
-[fanfare playing]
Bye, Mickey! Bye, Minnie!
We love you!
[Yvette] They've brought all
the Beacons of Magic to life!
Yo, we won Disney Magic Quest!
[both shrieking]
[all cheering]
-Milo!
-I missed you guys!
Yo! Yo, congratulations!
What's up, dude!
[Kylee] We're definitely
a big family,
and everyone
is united at EPCOT.
You did the Red Team proud!
[all cheering]
[Meg] In the end,
it doesn't matter
who won the quest.
What matters is
that we all got to
do it together.
[all cheering]
[Pearce]
This is so amazing.
[Kylee] The perfect ending
to the perfect night.
Congrats to both teams
for an amazing night.
And Disney is making a donation
on the teams' behalf
to Special Olympics,
who have been working
to empower athletes
with different abilities
all over the world.
Helping the Special Olympics
makes it that much better!
-It's awesome! We did it!
-We did it!
[all cheer]
That's it!
Thanks for being a part
of Disney's
Summer Magic Quest
and the Walt Disney World
50th Anniversary Celebration!
[all cheering]
