Great White Waters (2025) Movie Script

[engine droning]

Gunners on "Minnow," prepare yourselves to get the crates in!
Keep an eye out for any other bogeys.
Shit.
See what's going on out there?
Storm earlier must have driven sharks off the Keys.
You said there might be a couple.
That's more than a couple.
We barely have enough crew to handle the crates.
Now we have to watch out for sharks?
We get paid once we deliver. Now take care of it!
Harper, Campbell!
Chum the waters.
We need to get these sharks away from the crates.
And no complaining.
Okay.
Look at them go!
Already.
Captain, hold here.
Let's do this.
Hmm.

Oh, shit! What the heck?
-This is crazy. -I didn't sign up for this.
I'm done.
Get out there and get those crates!
What are you gonna do about it?
[gun clicks]
You.
Move it.
[whimpers]
Shoot 'em!
[gunshots]
Don't shoot the jars!
[loud rumble]
Grab my hand! Grab my hand!
-Do it! -Take my hand.
-Help him! -Take my hand!
Help him! Move! Move!
Aah! Aah! I'm bit! I'm bit!
I'm bit! Aah!
Aah!
[coughs]
Aah!
What is happening?! What the fuck?!
[crunching]
Die! Die! Die!
[growling]
[crunch]

Sunshine's landin', and I'm just so in this groove
My heart set sail on a ship of fools
With you
With you
[engine rumbling]
If you've come to give me another drink,
I already have one.
Guilty.
But seeing how this one's empty,
I could take another...
as long as you don't tell my husband.
I don't think your husband will mind.
-Can I join you? -Hey.
I have another surprise for you.
What?
You're gonna wanna put your drink down for this.

-Okay. -[glass clatters]
[chuckles]
I'm swept away
Swept away
-Okay, okay, okay. -I'm swept away
-Close your eyes. -Okay.
You're not gonna be push me in the water, are you? [chuckles]
Can I open 'em?
You said the boat wouldn't be ready for our honeymoon!
[chuckles] Well, I pulled a few strings to get it here in time.
-[gasps] -[chuckles]
-[laughs] -You like it?
Are you crazy?
[gasps] I love it.
[sighs]
You're gonna be an expert diver by the time we're through.
[laughs] Oh, I can't wait. [sighs]
I'll even write you another song.
-Oh, really? -Mm.
[laughs]

What's wrong?
[sighs]
They want me for the job.
But I won't take it if you don't want me to.
How long are you gone for?
They say as long as it takes, but you know me.
I like to get in, get it done, and go home.
And now more than ever,
I have someone I can't wait to get home to.

You okay?
Yeah. I just...
I just thought we'd have more time.
But I know you need to do this.
-And it's a huge promotion. -Yeah.
It's also our life.
I want you to do this.
Hey, you have my word.
When I get back, it'll be like no time has passed.
It's not goodbye. Just good night.
And we'll have forever.
You promise?
[birds calling]
[footsteps approach]
Hey, Gia.
-Great to see you again. -Hey, Jim.
Everything's good with the boat.
We've kept her in great shape for you.
She's ready to sail again.
How are the waters today? Busy?
Just a couple locals,
but the forecast has kept some people away today.
I left some coordinates for you.
It's further out into the Keys,
but you should pretty much have the waters to yourself there.
Thank you, Jim.
I miss him, too.
Be safe out there.
[sniffling]

[dog barking in distance]
-Mr. Reverend? -Jareth!
-How you doing? -Okay.
I'm meeting with the governor today
about breaking ground for the expansion to the park
in our new organic tea franchises.
Bam. I don't recall that you were on the invite list.
Yeah, well, it couldn't wait, you know?
What's it about, Jareth?
Is it about my tea?
-Yeah, uh, the import of Matcha. -Uh-huh.
-Delayed. -Yeah.
They didn't make it to the store.
Okay.
This shipment was imperative to the organization.
It's a test run to see how
our reputable operation will perform
not only in appearance, but in oversight.
And there are a lot of people that are depending on us
to not fail.
I made a lot of promises, and I always keep my promises.
Yeah, I know. I know, sir.
Okay. Well, have you been in touch with Oscar?
Yes, I-I-I--well, I have.
-Mm-hmm. -Uh...
-He's not answering. -Hmm.
When's the last time you heard from him?
Well, late last night, 9 p.m.
Oh.
Called to tell me that the, uh, the crates were confirmed.
There's only one way to happiness,
and that is to cease worrying
about things which are beyond the power of our will.
Epictetus...said that.
But you know what?
No matter how many times
I read that quote,
it never sinks into my head.
That's the Hoopers. Mr. Hooper's been
my loyal accountant for 10 years.
But lately there's been some,
you know, just some discrepancies,
some anomalies.
Forgiveness only goes so far.

Proceed.
[gunshot]
You know...
everybody deals with loss in their own ways.
-Yeah. -Mm-hmm.
[cracking]
[grunting]
-[crack] -If you mess this up,
what happens to you...
won't be as gracious
as what just happened to the Hoopers.
I want this to be a good day.
A good day, Jareth.
So what I want you to do, I want you to take Charlotte,
and you take a team,
and you find out why my tea isn't here on time.
I thought she was busy interviewing somebody.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, she'll be done by the time you arrive.
Now go.
Go!
[footsteps depart]
I've got an event to attend.

[indistinct conversation]
[grunts]
What's the furthest out you ever hit a mark?
1,700 meters with an elevated position.
In your dreams. What'd you use?
SVD with a Nightforce inspect scope--
7.62x51 NATO round.
Damn!
You hit a target from that far off with a Dragunov?
It's impressive.
[engine turns off]

So, uh... interview's running late.
Who's the new hire?
Freelance--Paulina.
Call me Li. Nobody calls me Paulina.
[chuckles]
-Keep an eye on her. -Yes, sir.
-[squish] -Aah!
It's at the Miami Intermodal Center!
[gasps] The bus terminal! Locker F11.
[grunting]
Wait for me, man. That lady's insane.
She's out of her mind.
[slicing]
You're late.
You're hungry.
Looks like the interview with Luther went well.
I get the job done without having to run around
posturing like a two-bit thug. -[chuckles]
You know, there's a very thin line between
the way we do things... -Correct, but at least
no one sees it coming when they're dealing with me.
[crunching]
By the way...
Luther's going to lend us his boat
for our little excursion.
We can do this in style.
Assuming you did a background check
on the new hire. -Mm.
She checks out.

So what does she offer, huh? She's not muscle,
and we don't need another diver or driver.
Shooter. Accurate. Long range, specifically.
Even better than me, actually.
We'll see.
Just to be clear,
I'm in charge of this operation.
[scoffs]
So I've been told.
But the question is... for how long?
Hmm.
And what if a shark is waiting for me when I get in the water?
Sharks don't wait for you.
You leave them alone, they leave you alone.
Is that how your new assignment's gonna be?
Scuba diving's supposed to be peaceful, calming.
Occasionally there's a little danger to the adventure,
but you have me to guide you.
[sighs]

[sniffing]
-[line rings] -WOMAN: Leave a message.
Lydia, it's Gia.
Give me a call when you get this. It's important.
-Teller, time is ticking. -I had to get this waterproofed.
I'm only here because Mr. Reverend insists.
I hate the water.
Let's go before Silas leaves your ass.
-Come on. -Give me your hand.
Oh, fine. I'm coming.
Hey, hey.
New girl. New girl? This is your start paperwork.
You gotta fill that out if you wanna get paid.
And that goes for you, too, Silas.
I'm not tracking you down again, man.
I thought this was a cash deal.
Used to.
But Charlotte's done an amazing job with turning things around.
Now everything is done by the books here,
even though sometimes what we do isn't.
Look, I know this is your first gig,
but you work your way up to employee,
insurance is sweet,
and the bonuses top notch. Mwah.
Reverend takes care of his employees.
[engine starts]

[bell chimes]
[electronic crackling]
Hey, guys, I got something!
-What do you got, Tony? -[computer chimes]
Right there.
That tracker is only visible to us.
Yeah, state of the art. Only connected to this laptop.
Waterproof.
[chimes]
The tracker hasn't moved.
I don't like this.
Hey, I wrote a song for you.

Not the best singer, right?
Never, ever wanna say goodbye

Never, ever wanna see you cry

I'll be there as the waves go crashing by

Never, ever going to say goodbye
[harmonizing vocals]
-You like it? -I love it.

I love you.
I love you, too.
Hey, hey, hey.
What's going on?
What is this boat up to?
And why is it near our drop point?
Hey. Rifles down. Boat at 12 o'clock.
Yeah. Don't draw attention to yourselves.
Relax. Sit down.
Act like you're having fun.
Silas.
-Get eyes on that boat. -Yes, sir.
[indistinct radio chatter]
Oh. Just some woman fishing.
Is she alone?
Looks like it,
Yeah, that you know of.
Yeah. Keep her under surveillance.
Feds have eyes everywhere.
[water splashing]
Take your position.
No sign of our cargo boat. Just some debris.
That's where the signal's coming from?
That's where Oscar's boat should be.
See anything else?
The crates? Bodies?
All clear.
What about the girl?
Now she's drinking a soda pop. No sign of anyone else.
She probably can't see the trawler's debris
from where her boat is.
We need to get between her and Oscar's boat
and drop anchor just to make sure.
What could have caused that? A rogue wave?
And where is Oscar and his men? Did they flee, or...
It could have been competition.
Or maybe they got hit in the dark by a boat.
The location is pinging from over there.
Clearly the boat capsized.
We would have heard chatter, though.
The Coast Guard would have been called
if another boat was involved. -Yeah, I think it's time
to call Mr. Reverend, tell him we found Oscar's boat.
[scoffs] We've already interrupted him once today.
-Think that's a good idea? -It's good news.
Good news is we retrieved the crates.
That's why you are gonna call him.
[scoffs]

Mr. Reverend, I wanna thank you
for everything you've done for our community.
Let's cut the ribbon.
[cheers and applause]
WOMAN: Thank you, Mr. Reverend.
[laughter]
So how's the family?
Everybody's doing good, Governor.
-I'm glad to hear that. -Absolutely amazing.
Oh, Mr. Reverend, the sizable sum
that you've donated to expand this area into a state park
will greatly enhance and preserve
the beauty of the Florida Keys.
-That's beautiful. -I agree, Governor Willis.
And I'm assuming that the launch of our tea franchise
will proceed without a hitch, all 20 locations?
I'm indebted to you for your support
during my last campaign, and you will have
my full support with your launch.
I appreciate that, Governor Willis.
And as a token of my appreciation,
I'd like you to have this.
It's just so we can keep tabs on you.
-Got it? -Of course.
-[cellphone rings] -Excuse me, Governor.
[ringing continues]
Speak.
The boat capsized. It's ours.
Okay. Any other boats in the area? Any other aircraft?
Nothing by air,
but there is a pleasure craft about a hundred meters away--
a lone woman fishing.
Now, does that seem a little bit unusual?
There's a woman. She's near our cargo.
She's out fishing by herself? Is she doing anything else?
Drinking a soda pop.
Nobody else is with her?
That we can see.
Okay. All right.
So keep an eye on Soda Pop.
Proceed with recovery mode.
Yes, sir.
And next time, you call me with good news. You got it?
[beep]
[sighs]
What'd he say?
Next time, call with good news. He wants us to recover.
Well, we don't know if there's anything to recover.
[chuckles]
We installed trackers inside all the crates.
They activate when we're within 50 feet.
-When did this happen? -Last minute detail.
That was my idea.
Okay. Uh...how deep underwater are these crates?
Well, uh, they're about 30, 40 feet.
Reverend had us install decks underwater a few months back
all along the dropoff points.
Think of it as safety nets, so to speak.
That was also my idea.
Shipment runs into any trouble, cargo gets weighted down,
gets thrown overboard.
The platforms are there to catch it so it doesn't go too deep.
We don't lose the shipment.
You know, it would have been nice
if anyone informed me of all this.
We just did.
And since when do you even care about these details?
Since I was put in charge of cleaning up this operation.
Silas, get us into position.
SILAS: Yes, sir.
[sighs]
[pills rattle]
[under breath] Fuck me.

Yeah, let's get under the trawler.
Silas, get up here!
Gear up.
It's time to swim.
Jareth, I'm going with you.
Fine.

Wait up, people. I gotta put these trackers on you
so I can see you underwater.
All right, here we go.
All right, you're good to go.
I'm gonna go track you guys on the computer.
Be careful down there, okay?
Back in the water you go, pal.
Make sure we're not being watched,
especially from over there.
Yes, sir.
-All right. Come on, guys. -[computer beeping]
Come on. Yeah.
Yeah. Almost to the crates. Come on.
Mm-hmm.
[grunts]

Here. Take these.
Thanks. Going back down.
[chiming]
What's that?
[chiming continues]
Oh, no.
What's going on?
[typing on keyboard]
What's happening? What's going on?
[chiming]
Those. What are those?
I think they're sharks.
Shit.

[muffled yelling]
[muffled yelling continues]
[muffled scream]
Shit!
[panting]
It's got to be the sharks!
You were right!
[gunshots]
-Where did it go?! -No, no, no!
Wait, wait, wait, wait! Stop! What do you think you're doing?!
You're gonna kill someone.
The lady in her boat--
it doesn't matter what she is. She's gonna call it in.
[line rings]
Lydia, please call me. It's urgent.
[beep]

-[beeping] -[typing on keyboard]
GIA: Hey!
Everything all right? Need some help?
I heard some commotion. I thought someone might be hurt.
Our friends went wreck diving!
Something went wrong down there.
They haven't come up!
We're worried because we saw a shark fin over here.
Yeah, the storms will bring 'em in, so you have to be careful.
But they should leave you alone as long as
you don't provoke them.
They seem to be moving away at a pretty fast clip, though.
They must be after something else.
Hang on. I have something for you.
I don't trust her. I don't trust blondes.
No offense.
Are your outboards off?
Yeah!
Okay, good. I just shut mine off.
But isn't your device gonna send off
an electromagnetic signal, too?
Yeah, but it's a different type of signal. This is an ESD.
It's an electronic shark deterrent.
Make all the sharks scatter
and hopefully get your friends back to the surface.
[under breath] I don't trust her.
Not sorry.

Guys, get out of there.
Hurry up. Come on.
[grunting]
Come on!
[panting]
[gasping]
Hey!
-Everything okay? -Doing great.
I'm pulling the ESD up now.
[gasps]
What is she doing here?
You don't wanna know.
I was just shooting at sharks.
[grunts]

-Hey. -Hey.
You.
You guys okay?
[under breath] Ha. Before you say something stupid,
she's the one that saved you.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Um...
Uh, yeah.
So, my girlfriend and I, we were diving,
and the sharks just surrounded us.
Was it just the two of you out there?
Yeah. Uh, yeah, it was just the two of us.
Oh, no guide? I heard some shooting.
I happened to take out one of those sharks.
Hey. We'll be right back.
[lowered voice] What do you think you're doing?
We need to get rid of her.
She saved us.
The water is so beautiful.
We can't afford to make any more mistakes.
Killing an innocent civilian
will only draw attention to the organization.
Exactly what Mr. Reverend doesn't want.
Look, I've been with Mr. Reverend for 10 years.
You've only been been with him for what, two?
I think I know what he wants.
No. Jareth, she has that shark device.
We get her to draw the sharks in, and we get the crates,
or at least what's left of them.
Uh...we'll use her.
But when this is over, she's gone.
Hey!
Friend!
Sorry for keeping you waiting.
Um...we didn't catch your name.
Uh, this is my girlfriend, Charlotte.
I'm Jareth.
That's Batton and my boy Teller and Paulina--Li.
She's inside.
Oh, it's nice to meet all you guys.
I'm Gia. Glad I was around to help.
Nice to meet you, too. How cute is she, huh?
-So cute. [chuckles] -Oh, my gosh.
Listen, we kind of need your help.
Just for one small, little thing.
Oh. I really should be getting back.
Look, uh, I'm gonna be honest with you.
Uh, that's our boss's boat that sunk, right?
And, uh, we really need to retrieve some things from it.
Did you call the Coast Guard?
We did. No injuries, not a priority.
And it could take hours with the sharks in the water.
Well, what do you want me to do?
[chuckles] What do we...
[forced laugh]
Can we use that...
cool little device of yours again?
You can. It doesn't have much charge left in it, though.
I don't know how long it'll last.
-Ah. -Problem is, if it suddenly
shuts off, those sharks are coming back in a hurry.
You seem to know a lot about sharks.
What do you do for a living, Gia?
Well, I work in accounting, but, uh, I know about sharks
because my husband and I did one of those shark dives
for a honeymoon, and I just wanted to learn
everything about them before seeing them on the boats.
Is your husband below deck?
No. Uh...he passed away.
Oh, we're so sorry to hear that.
I'm so, so sorry. [sighs]
But, you know, since that device of yours is almost out of juice,
can we use some of your fish and chum it up?
And, you know, we can move those sharks away from us.
I'm so sorry, guys. I really should be getting back.
You know, we--we have some chum of our own
that we can let you use. Wed pay you, too.
-Hey, hey. -Look, I'm gonna have to insist.
Hey, hey. Okay, okay. I'll do whatever you want, okay?
Just--Just take it easy.
Pat her down. Check her I.D. Sweep the boat.
With pleasure.
She's clean.
-Seriously? -Yeah.
-All this for your boss? -Yeah.
Yeah, he really likes his team.
Gotta get it back. It's a pricey import.
Teller, grab your computer and check her out.
I'm on it.
[panting]
Seriously?
Boat's all clear.
Gia Shah. Looks like she's an accountant.
-I got a ping. -Go.
Lock her down.
-Yeah. -What do you got?
Well, info on her is limited, but I was able to pull out
her accounting website on three different search engines.
Okay. What about the husband? Checks out?
Nothing on him yet, but Shah could be her maiden name.
When that bullet finally comes, who should I be more afraid of?
Him or you?
Do what you need to do for you, and you'll get through this.
Now, she's either really good at keeping up
with her social media profiles, or someone's really good
at hiding something that they don't want us to find.
Keep it up.
Come on.
[grunts]
Ah-ah.
I'll pilot the boat.
You chum the fish.
Don't try anything.
Hey!
Was that necessary?
Do not mess with my boat anymore.
Do you hear me?
This boat belonged to my husband and I.
It's all that I have left.
JARETH: [over radio] Batton.
[radio crackles]
You ready yet?
Take her boat, chum the waters
and get those sharks away from us.
Yes, sir.
Chum the waters.
Go.
[engine starts]
And don't toss it all out at once.
We could have handled that woman differently.
She's a liability and wasn't buying any of it.
Sometimes you gotta act before the other person
gets the upper hand.
Jareth, we know very little about her--
who she knows, if she has a family.
She's not a low-level criminal you can just make disappear
when you're done with her.
Someone will notice that she's missing.
People disappear all the time and nobody finds 'em.
Besides, we already have one boat that overturned.
There's sharks out there. The cover story writes itself.
Once again, you only see one side of things.
The organization has changed.
You're stuck in the past, and you really need to start
considering all options before you act.
Options breed regrets.
Not my style.
Regrets are the reason why
you'll never get higher than where you are with Mr. Reverend.

[cellphone rings]
-[ring] -Answer it.
-[continues ringing] -Answer it!
[ring]
Hello? Gia Shah.
WOMAN: Ms. Shah, I have Special Agent in Charge
Lydia Greene in the Miami office for you.
-I need your agent ID number. -You're DEA?!
[both grunting]
[grunting continues]
[grunting continues]
[panting]
Have a nice nap, asshole.
[computer chiming]
I'm only seeing three sharks on my screen.
I have eyes on four!
This is agent Gia Shah. Echo, Bravo, 0-3-3-1-niner.
Verification is Tango, Foxtrot, 11.
I need a direct line with Special Agent in Charge
Lydia Greene in the Miami office.
[cellphone rings]
[beep]
-Ms. Shah, where are you? -I'm in the Florida Keys.
I was following a tip from my CI on the Reverend DTO,
and I came in contact with some of his associates.
I'm requesting a Special Response to my location. I'll ping you now.
Agent Shah, you are supposed to be on personal time,
not pursuing leads on a DTO that we're not currently focused on.
Cease whatever activities you are currently conducting.
The Reverend Organization is now shipping their cocaine
in jars that look like Matcha.
I found one of them earlier while diving.
Their boat is out there now,
and things are turning upside down for them.
They are making mistakes. It is time to strike.
Agent Shah, I want you to come in right now.
We can take down Reverend and his crew today.
But I can't do it alone.
Listen, Dalton was a good man and a great agent,
but I can't have you going rogue.
Reverend will pay for Dalton and countless others.
But there is due process-- our due process.
And you should know better than anyone.
Take control of yourself, Agent Shah.
I want you in my office no later than 1400 hours today,
or I will put you on an indefinite suspension
with a psych review.
-Do you understand? -Copy.
[line disconnects]
-[radio crackles] -Batton, status.
Batton, do you read? Copy.
[radio crackles]
[loud bang]
-Do you read, Batton? Copy. -Turn around.
Batton! Do you read?!
Answer. Keep it simple.
[radio crackles]
All good.
When do you want me back?
Copy. Stay the course.
[radio crackles]
[radio thuds]
You're with the Reverend Organization, yeah?
I don't know what you're talking about.
Hmm. I figured. But it never hurts to ask, right?
The more you cooperate, the more likely it is
that the judge will reduce your sentencing.
[laughs]
You have no idea what you're swimming in.
[grunts]
[boat rumbling]
Neither do you.
[boat rumbling]
Get me out of these!
You know you're in this position
because you're expendable to them, right?
Why else would they send you out here
to chum for sharks with me?
Because if something happens to you, you're replaceable,
just like your friend out there.
They didn't care about him, and they do not care about you.
They don't care if you live or die.
He didn't even respond to you when you asked him
when he wanted you back.
Batton, right?
Look, obviously you are twice my size.
And if I let you out of these cuffs right now,
I know you could kill me just like that.
I could kill you just like that.
And I could have killed you just now, but I didn't.
I spared you.
So you can either work with me,
and we can both make it out of this alive,
or don't, and I'll leave you here just like they did.
Your call, but make it quick.
-[boat rumbles] -[grunts]
[rumbling continues]
I'm with you!
I'm with you.
[handcuffs clacking]
[panting]
[boat rumbles]
[both panting]
We need my rifle.
-[gunshots in distance] -The boat is sinking!
They're surrounded! They're trying to fight them off!
All the sharks have moved in their direction.
Sharks can have her! Let it sink!
What about Batton?!
I don't give a damn about Batton!
-The area below is clear! -Go, go, go!
Hey, sharpshooter! You see sharks,
they come near us, you see a goddamn fin,
you shoot to kill! -Got it!
We're taking on too much water.
We have to swim to your friend's boat.
Are you insane? There are way too many sharks.
-[gunshots] -[beep]
This device should have just enough charge in it
to get us there safely. Let's go.
I'm not getting in the water.
Fine. Do whatever you want, but I'm leaving.
Batton can't shoot his way out of all those sharks.
He needs help!
Watch out!
Oh, shit!
I'm out on bullets!
Come on! Let's go!
We gotta help them. We gotta help Batton.
-[rifle clicking] -Shit!
[rifle clatters]
I'm getting in the water.
Our orders were to retrieve the crates
and eliminate the sharks near us.
We weren't given any orders to save Batton.
TELLER: We just gonna let him die?
Better him than me.
[thud]
We don't have much time. Stay by me.
[panting]
Come on! You gotta keep up!
Oh!
[yells]
[device beeping steadily]
[cellphone ringing]
[beep]
Hello, sir?
Why haven't I heard an update?
Jareth and Charlotte are in the water right now.
So, you've located the cargo, right?
Yes, sir, but we're still trying to ascertain the situation.
We've...run into a bit of a complication.
With what?
Sharks.
You know, I believe it was you that chose these coordinates
in the first place. Is that right?
Yes, sir. It was me.
But...But shark activity is very rare, sir.
There's a whole pod of them.
They're very aggressive.
We need this shipment, or we cannot open tomorrow.
So, as soon as Jareth gets on board, you have them call me.
Do you understand me?
-Yes, sir. As soon as... -[line disconnects]
they come up, we're g--
[tank whooshing intermittently]
-I don't see them. -Shit!
[computer beeps]
They've got a shark on their tail!
LI: I'm not seeing any of the sharks from up here.
Oh, my God. He's catching up to them.
-I'm going in. -You're--You're going where?
With what?!

[clank]
[muffled grunting]
You guys okay?
Come on, come on. Hurry up!
[panting]
[both gasping]
[gasps]
[device chirping]
[gasps] Shit!
[groaning]
JARETH: Li!
Spot me! I'm getting the other crate!
[grunts]
[grunting]
Give me the crate and get out of the water!
[grunting]
-Come on! Pull it in! -I'm pulling!
Mr. Reverend wants you to call him immediately. I got it.
The crates is what he was calling about, right?
Yeah.
Yeah! Let's give him something good to talk about.
[panting]
[grunting]
Before the sharks come back, I'm going for the third crate!
Come on!
Come on. Pull. Pull!
[yells and groans]
Pull yourself.
I got... [yells]
Come on. [grunting]
Come on.
[grunting]
-[grunting] -TELLER: Yeah, yeah, get it.
[yells]
We got it, we got it, we got it.

[yells]
-Aah! -Oh, God!
Hand me the scope!
Here.
I wanna go home right now!
I'm going to get my gun!
[gunshot]
I think I got it. Here, hold this.
Aah! Aah!
Li! Grab my hand! Look out!
-He's right there! -TELLER: Get out of the water!
CHARLOTTE: Behind you!
[panting]
CHARLOTTE: Shoot now!
-I... -Shoot him!
-Get out of the way! -Now!
I can't! I don't have a clear shot!
Come on, hurry! Li, grab my hand!
-Li! -Oh, my God!
-I got you! Come on! Come on! -Hey!
Got you!
Come on! Hurry! Li, grab my hand!
Give me your hand.

[screams]
Oh!
[muffled scream]
[gasps]
TELLER: Li's gone. Oh, my God, Li's gone!
[gasping]
Come on.
[grunts]
[panting]
Damn it!
Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man.
[exhales deeply]
[sighs]
[exhaling deeply]
[gasps]
I told him not to do this.
-CHARLOTTE: Who? -Mr. Reverend.
TELLER: Yeah.
The most important mission in our organization's history,
and he wants to drop the shipment from a plane
into the ocean like it's 1985!
I begged him!
[panting]
Send it through customs with decoys.
Test the waters, right? No.
But now we're stuck out here
in the middle of nowhere
on a compromised mission,
surrounded by goddamn sharks!
Jareth!
What is wrong with you?
Do you know why I've accomplished more
in two years than your 10?
Hmm?
I learned to be part of machinery
and not a squeaky wheel.
Fuck you.
Wow.
Fuck...you.
I am no one's wheel.
And what I do and how I do it is valuable to the organization.
TELLER: Oh, God. Could you guys just cut it out?
It is in our best interest if we called Mr. Reverend back
before he calls us back, okay?
Okay, now which one of you wants to do it?
I'll fix this.
[sighs]
[sighs]

[cellphone rings]
[ring]
Talk.
Hello, sir.
I'm calling to give you an update.
[whispers] Tell him about the sharks.
[whispers] I am fully aware about the trouble
with the sharks, okay?
Did you recover the cargo?
Yeah, we recovered, uh, of two crates intact
and a couple of jars.
Two crates?!
Two out of four?!
Yes, sir. Uh, like I said,
we've recovered two crates intact.
Looks like another shark got a hold of one of the crates
before we got here,
and another shark got a hold of the third crate.
But there's a chance we might get that back.
And I'm seeing no signs of the jars being broken.
Do you know how much money that is?
You are gonna be working until the day you're dead
to make this up to the organization.
Like I said,
I'm confident we will retrieve the third crate.
Put me on speaker.
Yes, sir. Just a second.
[whispers] Fuck.
You're on speaker, sir.
Somebody has to pay for all these careless mistakes.
Jareth, I had reservations about you choosing Oscar
for the pickup, all right?
But it's not your fault.
By all accounts, Oscar was there to do his job,
and he got very unlucky.
But, Teller,
you knew sharks were in the water.
You knew there was a chance
that they could impact the shipment
and my money.
Sir, I'm--I'm sorry. No. We--
We had Cowboys lined up all along the drop routes.
Charlotte?
Yes, sir.
Make sure Teller's okay.
[whispers] What does that mean?
No, no, no!
-[groans] -[thud]
[Teller groaning]
[groans]
He's okay, sir.
You see that?
Charlotte understands how to follow orders correctly.
She understands the meaning of my orders
and doesn't misinterpret them or go against them.
She just does them.
And, Teller, if the team fails to recover the third crate
with everything intact,
the next time, I will not ask Charlotte
to check if you're okay. Do you understand?
Yes, sir, Mr. Reverend.
Hey. Charlotte. You're fully in charge now.
Have a wonderful day.
You heard him. Let's get back to work.
And bandage yourself up properly.
We don't need those sharks coming back
because of your blood.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
This is what we do.
Would you, you know, if he asked you to make sure I was not okay?
Would you do it?
Get back to work.
[sighs]
[breathing heavily]
[under breath] Bullshit.
They're the last tanks.
We need to be smarter.
We go down, and we try to get whatever is left of the crate.
If we can't, we come back up
and figure out a different plan on the boat, okay?
We're just gonna get in and get out. Okay?
Okay.
[gasps]
Fuck.
Aah!
Jareth!

Jareth, look out!
[panting]
[grunts]
[gasps]
[panting]
Come on. Let's go.
[grunts]
[panting]
No! No!
Stop!
[breathing heavily]
Why'd you save me?
[panting]
Because we need each other.
You have the only working boat, and you're down how many?
I can help you survive...
or not.
How did you do that?
Usually you can just push the sharks away
or gouge their eyes and gills, and sometimes
even approaching them head on can make them swim away.
They're not used to having things approaching them.
You know a lot about sharks from just being an accountant.
Certainly, you didn't learn that just
from diving with your husband.
Okay, look, we ran into a pod of sharks, okay?
My husband and I didn't have guns like you.
And the problem that you face now
is that you've provoked them, and you've left a blood trail.
So, you can either trust me and let me help you
or kill me now.
Yeah, we'll let the sharks decide.
That device--it's still working.
The device is dead. It needs to be recharged,
and the charger sunk with my boat.
That's too bad for you.
But since you know how to swim with the sharks so well,
you're gonna dive down and retrieve something for us--
those jars of matcha, that tea that we're talking about.
Because if you don't, we're gonna kill you
and turn you into shark bait.
And that little trick you do with that one shark,
it's not gonna save you from a whole swarm of them.
Come on! Now!
All right, you're gonna go down,
get the jars, and bring 'em back up, okay?
Once you do that, I'll let you go. I promise.
Use my gear.
I'm just looking for your jars. That's all, right?
Yes.
All right? Let's go.

Let's go! Let's go!
[grunts]
Take this.
All right. Good job.
Two more. Let's go.
Okay.
Two more.

Come on.
[grunts]
There's your jars. Help me up.
JARETH: Get her up. Get her up.
Come on.
All right.
Thank you for your help.
What about your promise?
Reverend makes promises.
I'm not Reverend.
So what's in the jars?
Money?
-Drugs? -Yes.
[scoffs] Drug dealers?
Guns, tough guy faade out in the middle of nowhere?
Unfortunately for you, I'm not afraid of you.
Just like I wasn't afraid of those sharks.
[sighs]
Time's up.
[grunts]
Aah!
[grunts]
[panting]
Okay, okay, okay.
What kind of accountant are you, exactly?
It's the end of the road, guys. DEA.
Hmm.
I found one of your little jars earlier
while diving with the bricks still intact.
Fucking, I knew it! I knew it!
I should have trusted my instinct!
I'm placing all three of you under arrest
for the possession and transporting
of controlled substances with the intent to sell.
And that bird up there is headed straight for us,
so don't try anything stupid.
Move your hands away from your body, Charlotte.
[helicopter whirring]
Hey, that's not DEA.
-[grunts] -Oh!
Don't move.
What are you gonna do, DEA?
[helicopter whirring]
[amplified voice] Jareth!
Hook up the first crate!
[grunts]
Got it. Got it!
We're coming down to get you.
[grunts]
Who's that woman down there?
She's DEA.
The woman on the boat-- Soda Pop. DEA?
-Yes, sir. -How many more DEA agents
are you gonna let into the organization, huh?!
Am I gonna have to kill 'em all?!
Hey! I've worked for you for 10 years!
I've worked...
I can fix this. I promise!
Give me another chance.
Give me another chance!
-Give me another chance! -[gunshot]
He's gonna kill us all!
Aah! Aah!
How long do you think before that's you?
-[crunching] -[screaming]
Let's get outta here!
Go! Go! Go!
[alarm beeping]
Get off the boat!
-Aah! -TELLER: Look out!
[panting]
[grunts]
Aah!
[grunting]
[yelling]

[grunts]
[panting]
[grunting]
CHARLOTTE: Gia!
[grunting]
Come on!
-Pull yourself up! -[gasps]
Come on.
Why are you helping me?
Charlotte!
-Over here! -REVEREND: I'm coming to you!
Let go of me!
Are you really a DEA agent?
What's it matter to you?
-What office do you work from? -Weston.
So you're gonna shoot me now?
Gia...
I'm with the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.
I've been deep undercover with Reverend Organization
for two years now.
-Shit. -Yeah.
You're showing up today has pretty much
messed up my entire investigation.
I have been waiting
for an opportunity like this for a while. Okay?
I got some intel that there was a drop.
I was hoping to find some evidence,
call it in and nail everyone, including Reverend.
-Did you call it in? -Yes.
Didn't they give you instructions to stand down?
Yes.
And why didn't you follow orders?
Because... my husband was also DEA.
He was investigating Reverend.
He was working undercover,
posing as a buyer when he was exposed.
Franco Paretti?
That wasn't his real name, but yes.
You knew him?
I knew of him.
I'm so sorry. I didn't know he was married.
He kept you hidden very well.
Precaution you have to take when you're undercover.
REVEREND: Charlotte!
-CHARLOTTE: Here comes Reverend. -Get over here!
Listen, you're gonna have to play along with me.
-Less is more with Reverend. -Help me! Come on! Almost there!
Otherwise, he'll know something's up.
[panting]
Mr. Reverend! Hurry, before the sharks come back!
Keep swimming!
Faster!
Come on!
Come on, sir!
Come on.
[grunts]
Tie that on the raft. Come on.
[grunts]
-[grunts] -[exhales deeply]
[panting]
[groans]
[panting]
Who's your friend?
A DEA agent.
I'm sure Jareth told you about her.
[panting]
Do I know you?
Look at me.
Look at me.
Ohh.
Now that... that's a look of hate.
But it's personal.
I've seen that look many times on many faces.
So why don't you tell me?
Where do we know each other from?
My husband.
Your husband.
I'm gonna need a little more information
than that, sweetheart.
His name was Dalton Arias.
Two years ago, he was your CFO.
That's what you like to call your lieutenants, right?
Franco.
Franco Paretti.
Oh. I remember him.
I remember he played his part well.
He was a go-between with the Revok Corporation
and my company.
Saying goodbye to him...
oh, it was so difficult.
It was so difficult.
Would you like to hear how I found out he was undercover?
This is good.
So one of Revok's lieutenants had a Belgian Malinois.
Beast of a dog.
Odin was his name. Never left his side.
So, your husband--he was wearing a wire underneath his collar.
And so Odin was hearing the sound from the transmitter
coming from your husband, and he jumped up.
Boom! His wire came loose. Franco's cover blown.
So then we sent a dog after him. [laughs]
And it plunges that right into his neck. [laughs]
He was screaming
like a little piggy on a meat hook.
[imitates pig squealing]
[yelling]
At least you put up a better fight than your husband did!
-Aah! -Pussy!
[grunting]
Are you ready to scream?
Fuck you!
[yelling]
[yells]
-Hey! Stop! -Aah!
-REVEREND: Shoot her! -Get off!

Aah!
CHARLOTTE: Oh, my God, Reverend!
-Oh, my God! -Who's screaming now, asshole?!
[continues screaming]
[Reverend continues screaming]
We need to stop the bleeding!
-Do it! -GIA: Let him bleed!
-We need him alive! -[grunts]
What'd you say?
Charlotte! Oh, not you, too!
[groaning]
You're the last person I would expect to betray me!
Who? Who are you working for? [panting]
The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.
[panting]
Yeah.
[panting]
[groans]
Hey, maybe we should just play the odds,
'cause those sharks gonna be more forgiving than I am.
You two girls, you all got no place to hide.
You hear me? No place.
Shut up, Leo! Before I feed your other arm to the sharks.
[panting]
Don't even think about it!

[boat approaching]
-[Reverend groans] -CHARLOTTE: Who are those guys?
They don't have any identifying badges.
Every agency in town eating out of my hands.
They're probably coming for you.
That's SRT. Thank goodness. [gasping]
[engine idling]
Hands up!
I'm Agent Gia Shah, Miami Division.
Verification Echo, Bravo 0-3-3-1-niner.
We know who you are, Agent Shah.
-Charlotte Harlow? -Yes, sir.
Confirming visual identification.
Leo Reverend, you are under arrest
for the possession and transporting
of controlled substances with the intent to sell.

[seabirds calling]
[Reverend groans]
Shit. You know he's gonna spin that shark bite
into some kind of hero's tale.
CHARLOTTE: Doesn't matter. We'll make the charges stick.
We got a confession and some of the cocaine.
He'll no longer be a pillar of the community.
He's known as a respected businessman
and a great philanthropist.
Now he's a drug dealer.
But no matter what way this is spun,
we won this round.
I'm so sorry I ruined your investigation.
[chuckles] If he had murdered my husband,
I would have done the exact same thing.
And by the way, that story he told you about Dalton?
From what I heard,
it was Reverend who was doing all the screaming.
Your husband went out fighting.
[whispers] Thank you.
Oh, one more thing.
We retrieved this when we were going through Dalton's things.
Thought you should have it.
[cellphone rings]
[ring]
[ring]
I'm so sorry. I have to take this.
[ring]
Thank you.
[ring]
[ring, beep]
Mommy, I missed you.
I missed you, too, baby.
I still have my bracelet.
I do, too. I haven't taken it off.
-You finished your job? -I did.
You coming home soon?
I am. I'll see you tonight, okay?
Okay. I love you, Mommy.
I love you, too, Daisy.
DALTON: Hey, I wanted to leave this message
for you and Daisy, um, just to let you know that
I love you both very much, and I'm thinking about you.
I even had someone finish our song for you.
I'll see you soon.
SINGER: Never, ever gonna tell you goodbye

Even though we know it's just a lie

But I'll be there
As the waves crash on by
Mommy, look what I found! It's my favorite shell!
Never, ever gonna say goodbye
-That's a good one. -[giggles]
Wow. You must have found this--
it must have been really hard to find this one, huh?
Never gonna say it's time to go
I found it, like, over there.
-It's a good one. -Yeah.

Why don't we leave it at hello?

And all these words
Lead to the same reply
I don't wanna say goodbye
Oh, I never want to say goodbye
Say goodbye
-If you don't see me -You don't
As the daylight turns
See me when daylight turns to night
I'll always be there
In spirit by your side

All you have to do is close your eyes
And say good night
Say good night

Say good night
Good night
Good night, good night
Good night
-Good night -Good night
Good night

I won't let the stars fade from view

Because I wrote this song for you
Ah
But when we finally
Run out of time
Do we have to say goodbye?
-I never -I never want to
Want to say goodbye
-Don't say goodbye -If you don't see me
As the daylight turns to night
You don't see me when daylight turns to night
I'll always be there
In spirit by your side

All you have to do is close your eyes

And say good night

Say good night

Say good night

Say good night, good night
Good night, good night
Tell me good night
Good night, good night

-Don't close your eyes -Don't ever
-Want you to say goodbye -Remember this lullabye
Don't say goodbye
-Don't ever -It's not goodbye
-It's just good night -Don't say goodbye
Just close your eyes
Good night

[song ends]
