(Narrator): After the fires,
came the floods...
and then the freezing.
The world as you live it,
ceased to exist.
Few survived. And yet...
There is hope.
Fate put us in the way
of a magical child...
(grunting)
I call Sumi.
Sumi had been raised by mama
bear beyond the treeline,
and lived without human contact.
(laughs)
(grunting)

The star would call out to them.
To follow.
You could see in Sumi's hands.
How they would talk.
Theirs was a language
foreign to me...
Different from yours
that I speak now,
or even my own.
This language of nature...
of the bear... and of the trees
Sumi would soon meet.

When Sumi and mama bear left
the refuge of the barren lands
it was to follow this elusive
star...
which would appear night or day.
The star guided them towards
the treeline, towards humans,
and inevitably towards danger.
But, also destiny.
