Stream of Terror (2026) Movie Script
1
-Good morning, everybody.
It's Tiffany, and guess what day it is?
It is my first day of senior
year, and I am so excited.
Over the summer, I was
extremely busy with my dad.
We went on a couple trips,
and it was just lovely
to spend time with him
and connect with him.
But now that I'm back,
I have a lot of goals.
Hey, everybody. It's Tiffany.
This week at school it is Spirit
Week because it's homecoming.
And today is a theme day
of wearing pajamas.
So I'm wearing this beautiful
matching set that my dad got me.
And I'm really excited
for all the other days.
We've got some
really cool themes coming up,
and I will be doing outfit reveals
and streaming all of it this whole week.
Hey, everybody. It's Tiffany.
Yes, it is spooky season, officially.
I have been making
so many snacks, so many treats.
And tonight I'm doing a huge group costume
with all my friends.
There are a lot of soccer players.
We all organized it,
so all my friends
will be showing up to our party
as soccer players and I,
yes, me, I am the referee.
Hi, everybody. It's Tiffany.
Oh, you guys are already joining.
Hey. [chuckles]
Yes, I am all dolled up
because tonight is prom.
My beautiful boyfriend, Eric, is
about to come pick me up,
and I'm very excited.
We're gonna do a little dinner
before, head to the venue,
and just dance the night away.
Okay. Logging in.
I got in.
I got in, I got in, I got in, I got in!
Oh, my God.
Dad, Dad, I got in. I got in.
Oh, my God!
-[Warren] You did it, princess.
I knew you could!
-Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Mount Chester University, here we come!
Oh, my God!
Wow. I just finished rehearsal
for graduation.
We just did our whole little walk-through.
And it's such a surreal feeling
to be graduating.
And I just... I just can't wait.
I cannot wait for my life
after this moment.
[vehicle door closes, engine starts]
-It was a lot of fun.
Yeah.
- Big mess.
But I'll take care of it.
All right.
I'm all partied out.
You two kids take it from here.
- Thanks for the party, Dad.
It was amazing.
-Oh, anything for you, princess.
Uh, you guys wouldn't be happen
to going to the beach club
for that big party tonight, would you be?
-Uh, how did you know about that?
- Come on.
It's my job to know everything!
- Yeah, we were planning on it,
if that's okay.
Of course!
Want to take the car?
Dad, you did not!
- [laughs]
Oh, my God, it's... it's gorgeous.
Well, you deserve it.
You've been working hard, great grades.
And you need it at school next fall.
-[Tiffany] Thanks, Dad.
Oh, my God, everyone is gonna
die when they see it!
All right... there you go.
- Thank you.
-I'll let you two kids have fun.
Eric?
- Yeah.
- Take care of my princess.
Right?
You got it.
- Have a great night.
All right.
- Love you, Dad.
I love you, too, honey.
- Thank you so much!
- I'm gonna leave
the porch light on for you.
Okay. Bye!
- Bye, guys.
-Yeah. Thanks, Mr. Clarke.
Oh, my God!
-[Eric] Are you kidding me?
-What?
I... I cannot believe
that he did this.
- Yeah. No, he went all-out.
This is insane.
I got a handshake from my dad.
- [chuckles] Yeah, he's my big oak tree.
No. Come on, let's go.
In, in, in!
Ahh!
Oh, my God!
Start it up.
- Okay.
[engine starts, revs]
-[Eric] Oh, come on. Come on.
-Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited over here.
Oh, my God!
-Stepping over the edge
Catch your shadow,
your reflection
- Are you ready to make
everyone jealous of us tonight?
Yeah. Sure.
- Oh, my God.
- Are all those followers
just gonna be so heartbroken?
[chuckles]
-Guess what I just got?
-Yeah, she's got me. Hi.
-Yes, I've got you, too.
But check this ride out.
I mean, come on!
And he's cute, too. So, yeah.
-Hey, babe? Babe?
Whoa!
- [thud]
-[tires screech]
[both breathing heavily]
What the hell was that?
Okay. Hey. It's all right.
It's okay.
I'm good.
-[gasps]
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Eric, Eric... I didn't...
I didn't mean to do that.
I didn't mean to do that.
I didn't mean to do it.
I didn't mean to do that.
- Somebody's coming.
No, no, no.
- It's okay.
- Eric. Eric! Let go of me.
Let go! No, no, no, no.
[car door slams]
[breathing heavily]
[cellphone ringing]
[breathing heavily]
[ringing continues]
Damn it.
-[Jake] Hey, yo, Tiffany, you coming?
It's dying out pretty quick in here.
You're about to miss everything.
I'm on my way.
[exhales sharply]
-[laughs] This is great!
-If you say so.
- Oh, speaking of boyfriend,
I told you he would text me.
-How come I've never seen this boyfriend?
- Because some things are kept
behind closed doors.
-Okay. [sighs]
Where's Tiffany tonight?
Out saving the red panda
population or something?
Nah, she's on her way.
- Okay.
-Well, she really shouldn't make you wait.
I mean, I wouldn't.
-[scoffs]
Hey!
- Hey.
Yeah, I knew you'd show up.
- Where'd everybody go?
- Well, they left.
I told you it was thinning out.
-I'm gonna head out.
- Oh! Oh, hey, hey.
Come on. You're underage.
-Lacey said it was okay.
- Come on, killjoy.
It's all in good fun.
-Go home.
- I'm so glad you graced us
with your perfect presence.
- Come on.
What is your deal with me, huh?
- Deal?
Oh, there's no deal.
I'm just overjoyed that you took
time away from social media
flaunting daddy's money.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Your "charitable" ideas.
- Hmm. Would my time
be better spent working my way
through Alpha Beta Who's the Next Guy?
-[scoffs]
Yeah.
Prissy, little bitch!
-Hey.
Ooh.
That's not good.
[glass shatters]
- [laughs]
Yeah? All right.
- Oh, hey, hey!
What a night we're having, huh?
- Yeah, let him save you,
just like daddy always does.
And you, you fucking simp.
- Simp?
-[groaning]
Come here!
[glass shatters]
What?!
Haven't had enough yet?
[glass shatters]
- Aah!
[Tiffany groaning]
No!
[Tiffany] Get off me!
- [coughing]
Eric!
[panting]
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
- Yeah. Yeah.
So, who's the simp now?
Let her go.
- Go home and sober up, okay?
-This isn't over.
-You come at me again, you'll regret it.
-[snorts] Whatever. Move!
-Oh, look at you.
Sure did some damage with those.
-Yeah. I know.
Screw it. Two shots.
- Yeah! Hey!
To the champ!
[cheers and applause]
-Look at you
Hands up if you wanna move
Hands up to the roof
when I count to three
Hands up to the roof
if you're b-a-d
I know you think I'm special,
yes
-Hey! Get into it! Ah!
Ah-ooh! Whoo!
[cellphones ringing, chiming]
Ooh! Ah!
Hello? Party's here!
What are y'all looking at?
-Greg? Greg?
That's Trish.
What the hell is she doing?
What the hell is this?
[suspenseful music plays]
Trish! Are you in there?
- I'm a little busy right now.
- Dude, it's okay
if your boyfriend doesn't exist.
We've all been there.
- I-I do. I do have a boyfriend.
I'm with him right now.
-Okay, dude, whatever you say.
[cellphone beeps]
Hey, Trish?
Are you okay? Trish?
- No, no, no, no, no! Aah!
[screaming]
[screaming continues]
[coughing]
[both gasp]
[blood squelches]
[panting] What...
- Oh, my God.
Did anybody call the cops?
- Yes, I'm on it.
[door creaks]
-There's a murderer on the loose.
How do you feel?
Do you think she's dead?
How did he do it?
Who's the murderer?
Who do you think the murderer is?
I'm trying to get to the bottom of this.
This is an investigation
ongoing as of now!
- Kiki. Kiki, please!
Please. No!
[door rattling]
Please!
I didn't do anything. I
don't... Aah! [panting]
Please!
Please! I didn't do anything.
No! Please, please, please.
Please.
No! [crying]
[knife whooshes]
[gagging]
[knife twists]
[coughing]
[blood gushing]
[birds chirping]
-What's up, guys?
Welcome back to my channel.
Greg here, where crime is cringe
but my content isn't.
So, Lacey and Trish,
completely slaughtered.
So not a slay.
The police are in their clueless era,
which I don't understand
because the kill was
literally livestreamed.
But don't worry. I'm gonna
get to the bottom of this.
- So, can you tell us what do you
plan on doing on campus today?
- Well, as of right now,
the campus is on lockdown.
Nobody's coming or going until it's lifted
unless it's a medical emergency,
and then we'll get...
-Bullshit!
Is there a killer on campus
who's bloodthirsty for clicks?
-Greg, didn't you graduate?
Aren't you, like, 30 years old?
- 27!
And I just love seeing
your filler... I mean face.
-You need to leave the investigation
up to the professionals.
- I'm the voice of the voiceless.
- Oh, God. I don't have time
for your games.
Go call your mommy.
- Yeah, I already did.
She says hi.
-Take care of this.
- Okay.
Send your minion after me.
Let's go.
- Nice, big shot!
Go home, kid!
- I'm 27!
-Hey. Detective Brick.
- Hey. Thanks.
That kid was relentless.
- Yeah. Hey, look. I need to ask
you some questions.
- Okay.
But you got to keep up.
-Oh, and don't forget to tell your friends
to subscribe to all of Jake's
social-media pages, too.
Follow his journey to the pros!
Yo, playboy.
-Out of here.
Man, y'all got a whole season this year.
Y'all do some community work or something.
-Yes, sir!
- [Greg] Whoa!
Get out of the way!
Just learned how to do this.
I don't know how to stop!
I stopped. I stopped.
Don't worry, subscribers.
I'm here. I'm queer.
And the truth is near.
Greg out!
- [Jake] Greg, what are you doing?
-Just trying to lighten the mood.
Come on.
You all are thinking it.
- Can you just try
and tone it down a little?
-Tone it down?
You should tell that
to the comment section.
Did you see what people were writing
when it was actually happening?
Brutal.
Jesus Christ.
- [Greg] No pun intended.
- That's insensitive.
I actually have to save lives.
- Well, maybe we can save
some together at the morgue.
- Greg, shouldn't you be more,
I don't know, mature?
-I'm 27.
-Eh, pushing 30.
-You're pushing retirement.
I need confirmation of deaths.
- Alex Jones, what would you like
to tell us now?
- I'd like to say
that I'm a different Greg.
Okay, you guys, I've changed.
This summer, I went
backpacking throughout Europe,
and I really got in touch with my roots.
-What roots?
-You should ask that to your hair stylist.
Do you guys even know what
"Greg" means in ancient Greece?
-[Jake] No.
- Of course you don't, because
you're just a football player.
It means watchful.
- Bingo!
Got an A-plus in ancient history
right here.
- Okay, Greg, what are you trying
to say, man? Spit it out.
- Not to impede
on my investigative journalism.
This will bring in so many
subscribers to my channel.
-Yeah, except we all saw it, on-screen.
- Yeah, and that video already
cracked over a million views.
Tits, ass, and blood...
The Holy Trinity to bringing
in subscribers.
-You're sick.
- Careful.
You're the T&A in this equation.
-Do you like having teeth in your mouth?
-Sometimes.
Speaking of teeth bashing,
how's that hand?
You ice it after that bar brawl?
She started it.
- True.
Tell me more about your
deep desire to rid the world
of assholes in the most public,
beautiful, and violent ways.
- [Jake] Leave it alone, Greg.
Just leave it.
-Okay, I don't have time for this.
I have to go home and get my
livestream ready for my kids,
which is important.
- I figured they
would have canceled that event.
-Well, they haven't canceled it yet.
- [Dr. Machar] It was
an accident. You panicked.
It's a natural human reaction.
-I just feel like Eric moved on,
and he's in his own little world,
and I'm just, like...
stuck there.
- Well, everybody deals with
traumatic events differently.
How's your sleeping?
- I'm waking up
with some tightness in my chest
and the sweats.
And, um, sometimes I drift off
and replay it all again
in my head.
- That would be the
post-traumatic stress disorder.
From your social media,
looks like everything else
is going better in your life?
- That's the only reality
I can control, so...
-I want you to listen.
You have started a program
to help underprivileged kids.
You are giving kids educational
opportunities and sponsorships
for a better life.
You shouldn't let your past define you.
[alarm rings]
And that's our time.
So... I'll refill
your prescription.
Okay?
-Proloft? Same dose.
-Yeah.
Also, if you see Eric, give him my best.
[birds chirping]
-Hi, fighters. It's Tiffany.
I am so excited
for our event this weekend.
This is the official...
You editing Tiffany's video?
- Yeah.
-Let's see.
-[Tiffany] Little fighter T-shirts...
-No, get rid of that CGI bullshit, okay?
I want the real raw emotion.
- Yeah, I got it.
- And that green screen?
Trash. Cut it.
-Look, the sooner I can get this done,
the sooner I can get the hell out of here.
So, if you want me
to change anything else,
please get it out now.
- I'm sorry.
Where do you think you want to go?
You don't want to hang out
with the underprivileged youth
of America?
Show them a fun time?
Or even better, figure out
who's the Mount Chester Mangler?
-The Mount Chester Mangler.
-Mm-hmm. Thought of that myself.
I was also thinking of...
"Shatterface."
I just didn't know
if it was too... meta.
-Yeah. No.
It's badass, but to be honest
with you, I can't really indulge
in your true-crime, paranoid,
investigator bullshit right now,
especially if you
still think Covid-19 was a hoax.
- Uh, rewind.
Never said it was a hoax.
What I said was the media perpetuated it
through fearmongering propaganda,
and Big Pharma swooped in and profited.
- You gave me Covid three times.
It does make sense.
Exactly. It wasn't a hoax.
- Hey, can we talk?
-Yeah.
-Dr. Machar sends his best.
-Give me a break.
- You were doing so much better
when you had someone to talk to.
-I had you to talk to.
-I couldn't function, okay?
I needed a friend...
not a boyfriend.
-Yeah. What about Jake?
You function with him.
-You know Jake is a friend.
- [scoffs] Yeah.
Does he know that?
- You know, I actually
thought we should probably add
a disclaimer to this video.
Something like, "Killer on
campus. Enter at your own risk."
Which is kind of what I'm
doing with this conversation.
- No, this is great.
Please stay.
-Hey.
So, what'd I miss?
-Nothing.
-Some great news...
I actually pulled off
that sneaker donation.
That's awesome.
- I know, right?
Greg, I may actually give
you some credit on that.
- Uh, um, the promoter canceled
the kids' visit tomorrow. So...
- Oh. I'm sorry. I know how much
that meant to you.
Look, we can still do something.
It doesn't have to end like that.
-I'll still, um, get your video done.
Gotta go.
- I'll go with you.
-She's really great.
-Yeah. Yeah, she is.
- And I think she feels
the same way about you.
Lunch?
-Yeah. Yeah, that'd be great.
- No, no, no, you keep working.
You got to fuel up.
What do you want?
- I don't know.
Just give me one of those wraps.
-Wrapping on it.
-Thanks.
[knock on door]
-[Detective Brick] Dr. Machar?
Yes. Can I help you?
- Detective Brick.
Time for some questions?
- Uh, in reference to?
-Oh, I'm sure you heard what happened
at the college the other night.
- Yeah.
That was a horrible tragedy.
- Certainly is.
That's why I'm here.
I got a question
about one of your patients.
Do you still see Tiffany Clarke?
- Yeah.
I'm sorry, but that is, uh,
doctor-patient confidentiality.
I'm sure you already know.
- Okay.
Let's keep this simple, then.
Night of the murder,
she and one of the victims
got into a big fight.
-[Dr. Machar] Really?
-So, help me out here.
-[sighs] I don't know.
- All right, Dr. Machar,
this can go two ways.
One, I go get a subpoena.
I come back, bring you in for questioning.
Call the media.
Make this a big deal.
Or you just help me out.
Call it giving a little peace of mind.
- If what you're asking me is
if I thought she was a threat,
the answer is no.
If I did, I would have reported it by law.
-Hm. All right.
How long have you been seeing her?
- [Dr. Machar] A few years.
Now, look. I'm sorry.
I would love to help,
but I cannot violate
my patient's trust. Okay?
-Okay. Get it. Here's my card.
You think of anything that could
help me out, you let me know.
[cellphone buzzes]
Hello? I'm on my way.
-Is everything okay?
-It's confidential.
- [Tiffany] Hi, fighters.
It's me, Tiffany.
Hi, little fighters, it is Tiffany here.
I am so excited for our event
coming up very, very soon.
This is our official Tiffany's
Little Fighters T-shirts,
and if you attend, you'll get one, too.
At this event, we're going to have a...
[suspenseful music plays]
-Aah!
[grunting]
[panting]
[groaning, panting]
Aah!
- Aah! Aah! Aah-aah!
Aah-aah-aah!
Aah-aah! Aah-aah!
Oh, my God!
-[Eric] Go, go, go, go, go, go!
[both panting]
-I just wanted to eat.
-'Cause I know, babe
I know
- How many lotions does
one need in the bathroom?
-Take a video.
How about this one, Tiffany?
Hmm?
-Anyway, I gotta go.
I still got that phone call
with the shoe donation.
- Well, that means a lot, Jake.
Thank you.
- Yeah. No problem.
Anything for you and the kids.
-And post.
You know Jake has a thing for you, right?
What?
- I was literally standing
in front of him in a bikini,
and he was staring at you.
Jake's a friend.
- Mm-hmm.
-Oh, I'm already up a thousand likes!
[cellphone beeps]
-Eric?
What? What is it?
- It's Eric.
Let's go. I'll drive.
- Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I got your bag.
- [Cameron] Yeah.
Yeah, just got to the hospital.
- [Smith] Detective Brick?
- I'm going to go check him out.
Let me call you back.
-I came as soon as I got the call.
[panting] I found this
in the hallway at the school.
-Tiffany Clarke.
How do you know?
- It's my job to know.
I got some questions.
Let's go ask them.
-I'm glad you're okay.
My shift's in an hour anyway, so
I'm just gonna clock in early.
Stay safe.
- Okay. Yeah.
- Well...
Well, you are lucky.
- [Eric] It doesn't feel like it.
-There you go.
Just sit tight.
-Pop this on. You need it.
-Where did you get this?
- A journalist can
never reveal their sources.
So, Cameron went to the morgue?
Is that right?
Just...
- I'm just...
- [Eric] Please do not. Can you?
For five seconds.
- You guys. You guys.
Okay? I need these photos.
You don't understand the views
it'll bring to my page.
Look.
Look what the blood brought in.
[Tiffany] Greg.
- [Smith] Where there's chaos,
I can always count on you
to be around, Greg!
-Mm-hmm.
I know you.
You're that detective
that big-timed me.
- Yeah. It's Detective Brick.
You want to explain to me
why this photo was at the crime scene?
- This photo was taken
in high school. I don't know.
- [Detective Brick] Yeah.
So who wants to hurt you?
-Don't answer that.
- Quite the bar fight
you had last night with Lacey.
- I won't be talking anymore
until I have my lawyer.
-[Greg] Yeah, that's her daddy.
Real daddy, not sugar daddy.
-You do what you gotta do.
But you're all on my radar.
Let's go.
[indistinct chatter in background]
-I'll be right back.
-Where are you going?
-I'm thirsty.
-Right.
-For knowledge.
- Why was there a photo of me
at the crime scene?
-Does somebody know something?
-I don't know.
-[humming]
[door closes]
[suspenseful music plays]
-[Greg] Cameron!
- Greg...
what are you doing here?
- Listen.
I need to get to the morgue.
Finding answers there
will bring me one step closer
to a Nobel Peace Prize.
And you're the only one
who can help me get there.
- And what makes you think
that I'm willing
to risk my future career here
just to help with your research?
- Think about what this story
will do to both of our channels.
Okay? We'll become like
true-crime heroes,
subscribers for centuries.
- Well, no one's gonna let you in
there dressed like that, anyway.
-Dressed like what?
-Ew. Dirty scrubs. Really?
- Ew. Dirty pics
to the entire football team
while you're in a relationship?
Really?
-Whatever.
Just take elevator "B"
to the lowest level.
Take a right.
You'll see the signs.
-Thank you.
I haven't seen anything.
I promise.
And I'll shout you out in my next video.
-If you get caught, I don't know you.
New phone. Who dis?
- [door closes]
[indistinct chatter]
-[bartender] Another?
- Excuse me. Can I get a tequila
neat, please?
-Absolutely.
-You went through my mailbox.
That is illegal.
- "Illegal." Coming from you?
-All right, I'll talk.
-Hm.
Good, 'cause I'm just a little curious.
What's the relationship
between you, Tiffany,
and that bank account?
-Listen.
Warren Clarke just wanted
to keep his daughter safe.
Okay?
He wanted me to be his eyes
while she was at the school.
He told me that he would pay me
handsomely to reassure her
and give her anything that she needed.
Here are those drinks.
- Thank you. That's good.
Get this out of your way.
- [Dr. Machar] Thank you.
-Anything she needs, huh?
Yeah.
- Like pills?
-That's as much as I can say, okay?
I'm sorry.
Doctor-patient confidentiality.
- You took a bribe
to whisper sweet nothings
in a little girl's ear
and numb her with pills.
-I was trying to make her feel safe.
-You need to redefine what "safe" means.
-All right. Look.
She told me that she was in a car accident
when she was in her teens.
It took her nearly a year
to tell me about it,
and I tried to find information
about it myself, but I...
- Let me guess.
You found nothing.
-Yeah.
-Why don't you stick to what you do?
I'm a detective for a reason.
Because I go look for things, I find it.
And I found that
that bank account paid off
an Honorable Jonathan Riley
four years ago.
-You think that...
-Oh, I ain't gonna discuss that with you.
- Wait. Look, please.
Let me help, okay?
Come on. Let me help.
-You have done a disservice to you,
your profession, and that little girl.
- Yeah. You're... you're right.
I'm sorry.
Okay, I am so... sorry.
Right?
- Sorry.
Why are you apologizing to me?
You weren't lying to me
for the last four years.
[door opens]
[suspenseful music plays]
[door creaks, shuts]
-Oh, visual confirmation.
[door closes]
[footsteps approaching]
Duck!
[footsteps approaching]
-[man] Oh, yeah.
Break time.
What? Fuck this, fuck this.
- [man] What are you doing here?
- I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Okay?
I needed a safe place to go.
You're doing a great job
cutting everything up. I just...
I'm gonna let you get back.
I won't tell anybody about that.
-Get out of here!
- Five-second rule.
Science-approved.
[door opens, closes]
You guys. Oh, my God!
No!
- Yes!
What did you find?
- Death confirmed on Trish.
-Why did you doubt all of this?
The media confirmed the deaths already.
-Why wouldn't I doubt it?
Now all I need is confirmation on Lacey.
That is how a good investigative
reporter does it, my friends.
You can't believe the media.
- She's dead, Greg.
You gotta leave it alone.
-Fake news.
Now go... before the rent-a-cops find me.
[sighs]
- [engine starts]
[bottle rattles]
[suspenseful music plays]
-No, no, no, no, no!
[groaning]
[vehicle approaching]
[Greg cheering]
- You guys, my video is
up to a million views.
[cellphone chimes]
Give me the phone.
[suspenseful music plays]
Who was that?
-That was Tiffany's therapist.
-He was your therapist, too.
-What am I missing?
-Um, we need to get a group together.
This is not safe.
- Yeah, yeah, I agree,
but, um, I need to go home
and make an apology video
to the kids first.
- What? You need to go home?
No, you can do that here.
This means a lot to me, Eric.
- Okay. Yeah, I understand that.
But you don't need to go home for that.
I'm coming with you, at least.
- No.
-I'm not letting you out of my sight.
Not after that. Are you serious?
-[Greg] He has a point.
- Okay, look. I will be back
at the studio in one hour, okay?
Make sure you get Jake
and Cameron there, okay?
-Whatever.
-Let's get going. [grunting]
Don't speed.
Why are none of my pictures uploading?
[engine starts]
You good?
- [Eric] Yeah.
- Look, I'm sorry if you
think I'm doing too much, okay?
I'm just trying to let people
know. All right?
The cops aren't telling us shit,
and we have lives to save.
- Yeah. Okay. Well, what do you
want them to say exactly?
I'm sorry.
Do you want them to post
dead bodies on social media?
-I mean, if they're not gonna, I will.
Hey, wait.
There's a killer on the loose.
What's up, everyone?
Welcome back to my channel.
It's your boy, Greg.
Now, before we get into the nitty-gritty,
if you could smash that "like"
button and hit "subscribe,"
it'll kill me if you don't.
Okay.
The body toll keeps rising,
and I am here to confirm
that Trish is no longer with us.
[computer beeps]
Ooh, a comment.
"Shut up, you mouth-breather."
Okay, say that
to my deviated septum, asshole.
[computer beeps]
Oh, Nurse Cameron, what do you got to say?
9 "Stop inciting, freak!"
Hey, Cameron, why don't you
go take another photo shoot?
Have fun.
- [computer beeps]
Oh, okay.
Third time's a charm.
Please be nice.
"Shouldn't you have graduated
already?"
You know, it's called
furthering one's education.
Okay, back to business.
Tonight we are meeting
at the communications building.
There is power in numbers.
So be there or be...
[computer beeps]
- What is this?
[panting] Eric?!
-I'm not going on your show, man.
-No, Tiffany's on my show, man.
- Yeah, she's doing that thing
for the kids.
-No, she's being live-streamed.
Get over here now!
Come on.
[suspenseful music plays]
Call her, call her.
- Yeah, yeah, I'm doing it.
-[Tiffany] Hey, guys,
I'm so sorry that we had
to cancel our event.
But don't worry, friends.
I will make sure that the
next time we're all together,
it will be memorable.
- [cellphone buzzing]
Hey. What's up?
-Hey, you got to get out of the house.
You're being live-streamed.
Someone's there with you.
We can see you.
Hey, can you stay on the line?
Can you hear me? Tiffany?
God damn.
Don't hang up on me.
-Call her back.
[cellphone buzzing]
Get away from the closet.
Damn it!
I don't know.
Why did it go black?
Okay, well, yeah, fix it.
- I'm trying.
Fix it!
- I'm trying.
-[breathing heavily]
[camera thuds]
-I'll call the cops.
-Fuck! Damn it!
-Fucking old reliable.
[door creaks]
[clatters]
- Aah!
[panting]
- [doorknob rattling]
[rattling continues]
Oh! [panting]
Jake!
- Yeah!
-Someone's in the house.
Here?
- Yeah.
I don't know.
I think someone's in the house.
-Nobody's here.
[Tiffany] No! Jake!
- Aah!
[Tiffany screams]
No, no, no!
[yelling]
-[groaning]
-Aah! Aah! Help me!
-Raahhh!
-[panting]
Oh, my God.
Oh my God.
- [groans]
-Oh, my God, your shoulder.
I'm fine! I'm good.
- Are you sure?
I'm good, good.
I'm good. I'm good.
Okay.
- [both panting]
-What the hell?
-What is that?
-Wait. [groans]
[groans]
-Oh, my God!
-What the hell, Tiffany?
- Okay,
we need to find Eric... now.
Let's go. Come on.
[groans]
- Come on.
[cellphone buzzing]
-Who is it?
-Hello?
- [Jake] Hey, man, it's Jake.
Tiffany's okay.
We're headed
to the communications building.
-We'll meet you downstairs.
[Jake groaning]
- Come on.
Are you okay?
- Yeah. Are you good?
-That looks so painful.
-Don't touch me.
[Eric] You're okay?
- Yeah. I'm good.
You're not doing that again.
- I know. You saw that?
Yeah.
- No. We're good.
-And where did you come from?
-Cameron told me to check up on her.
- Oh, yeah. And you were just
in the neighborhood?
-She was worried about her, and so was I.
Bullshit.
- Okay. Eric, stop.
If it wasn't for him...
-Let's put the testosterone away, okay?
Let's go back to editing bay.
Hut!
-Let's go.
-Don't they say that in football?
- Detective Brick?
Tiffany's been attacked.
Where?
- [Smith] At her place.
Stay here.
- Hell, no.
I'm going with you.
-You have other officers working?
- Of course not.
The campus is on lockdown.
- Then stay here.
I work better alone.
-Look, we need to regroup
because none of this is making sense.
And I have a new piece of information.
[Tiffany] Good.
- Look. After what happened,
this link was sent out.
It's a livestream.
-Okay, well, who else got the link?
-Probably all of us.
[footsteps approaching]
[gasps]
- Oh, my God!
Cameron.
- Jake, that shoulder's a mess.
-Yeah.
I'm sorry, Jake.
- Don't be.
I'm just glad you're all right.
- Here, sit.
[groans]
- Here, take your shirt off.
You're lucky it's not so deep.
- Yeah?
-This link was sent from my account.
-How is that possible?
- I don't know if
somebody's trying to set me up.
-Why?
- I don't know.
Why would I incriminate myself?
-Maybe you fuckheads are doing all this.
-We're not.
[computer beeps]
You guys, you guys, get over here!
Get over here!
[cellphone buzzes]
It's rent-a-cop.
[suspenseful music plays]
-[gasps]
Why are you doing this?
[yells]
- [gun fires]
[all gasp]
Fuck, yeah!
- Okay.
-Confirm the kill!
-[gasps]
[coughing]
[knife wooshes]
- It's over. That's it?
Can you fix it?
Is there something wrong?
- There's nothing I can do, man.
This is intentional.
Shatterface is bulletproof.
So, we're shatter-fucked.
- Okay. My phone isn't working.
Greg, try your phone.
Is it working?
Any of the phones working, no?
- No, none of them.
-Why is this happening?
-I'm sorry, but they gotta know.
-[Greg] What?
- The person behind all this
left a note for Tiffany.
-What did it say?
- It says, "Your secret
is safe... for now."
-What secret?
-It was a long time ago.
And... I was young, and I...
and I was... I was foolish.
My dad had just given me a car,
and...[crying]
-You don't have to do this.
-I do.
I was driving.
And I hit something...
A little girl.
I killed her.
She was only five.
-I never heard of this story in the news,
and I Google-searched you.
- I just graduated, and...
I was about to start my life.
And I didn't know what to do.
I was an emotional wreck, and I...
And my dad told me
that he would fix everything,
and then I'd be all right.
- Great. So we're just some damn
pawns in a revenge tour.
-So, what happened to calling the cops?
-I wanted to turn myself in, okay?
I did, but my dad told me
that I would lose everything.
And since that day, I have been
trying to make it up.
-Well, you see where that got us, huh?
-We're done with this interrogation.
We're done.
- [computer beeps]
-Um, you guys, Shatterface is back.
Commence revenge tours.
[footsteps approaching]
-[groaning]
-Well, we have to do something... now!
-Tiffany!
-I don't want to be Shatter-faced, too!
Wait up!
-[panting]
-Get in here! Come on.
[gun fires]
Aah! Oh!
Jake!
-[Greg] Confirm the kill!
Take the creepy mask off.
-It ain't moving.
[groans]
- [yells]
-[Jake] Move, move, move!
-Oh, Eric!
Oh!
- Let's go! Let's go!
Get in!
- Let's go!
-[Jake] Hey! Hey! Hey!
- Guys, guys, get in, get in!
Fuck you!
[insects chirping]
[Cameron] Shit! Are you okay?
- Yeah. Just give me...
Give me something to stop the bleeding.
Put a tourniquet, something.
I just need to wrap it.
- Did you get hit in the head
with a football
one too many times?
How do you not know the difference
between a dead body and a live one?
-I thought it was dead!
- Listen! No one gets up
from two shots to the chest
unless they're wearing body armor.
-Thank you, Detective Obvious.
Clearly, Shatterface is bulletproof.
- Someone get me up
out of here. We need to move.
- [Greg] Come on, All-American,
help him up.
-Uh, let's just make a run for it.
- Yeah, let's go back outside
and Kumbaya with a killer.
-What's your strategy, then?
- We're going upstairs.
We're not staying here.
-[Greg] Come on.
[Tiffany] There.
- There, there, there.
- [Eric] Right here, right here,
right here, right here.
-What?
[computer beeps]
You guys, you guys, Shatterface...
- [distorted voice] Tiffany,
you tried to bury your secrets.
This is the real you.
-Show yourself or go fuck yourself.
-As for your friends,
they're all going to pay for what you did.
I want you to make the ultimate sacrifice.
I want him.
I want you to suffer loss
just like I have.
I'll see you soon.
[computer beeps]
- See?
Now it just doesn't make sense.
Why does he want Eric?
-Because I was with Tiffany that night.
- Well, that's a big
missing piece of the puzzle.
-We got your back, whatever it takes.
Let's set this fucker up.
- How?
- For every livestream,
location is tracked.
-Yeah, they know we're here.
So, this is
where we should make our stand.
This is our end game.
End game?
- We can stay here and fight,
or we're gonna get picked off
if we're running around.
[computer beeps]
- [Jake] I-I thought she was dead.
-Did you confirm the death? No.
We need to confirm every kill.
-We have to go help her.
-Well, exactly how do we do that?
I mean, our phones aren't quite working.
-I could go downstairs.
Yeah, I'll check the junction box.
That would work. Right?
- [Tiffany] No.
- Yeah. No, look. We know
where Shatterface is, right?
They're not here anymore.
If I'm gonna fix anything,
it has to happen now.
- Hey... you're the best roommate
I've ever had.
Be safe.
- I'm the only roommate
you're ever gonna have.
Eric...
- What?
- Be careful. Okay?
I need you to come back.
-Hey. Yeah, I'm coming back.
-Okay.
-Stay here... please.
-You're not going anywhere.
You got hit in the head pretty hard.
[Brick groans]
- I'll get Officer Smith back.
And if it's a setup,
I got something for
that sadistic ray of sunshine.
-Hey, you...
You ever use one of these?
Look, one in the chamber.
I fired two downstairs.
You have 13.
- My dad used to have something
just like this.
I'll bring it back.
-Be safe.
I don't need anything happening to you.
-I got you.
- Can you pull it up, up here?
What are you seeing?
-Locked and loaded.
Let's shatter this fucker.
-What the fuck?
[electricity crackling]
[Eric yells]
-Okay, okay.
-Look, I broke this off a paper cutter.
Flimsy. Put it back.
- Fine.
Okay, I saw somebody make an ax out
of this stuff on social media.
Guess it can work.
- Let me see 'em. Look.
Put it at a 90-degree angle.
Long one down.
- [Tiffany] Okay.
Flip the cord.
Did it look like this?
-Yeah, but not as good.
-It's called a war ax.
A Lorax?
- A war ax.
You've never heard of a war ax,
Mr. Conspiracy?
- No, I haven't.
I'm sorry, Miss DIY.
[computer beeps]
Here we go.
- [Cameron]
Jake! Jake! Watch out!
I'm going out there.
-I'm not letting you go, Lorax or not.
-That's my meal ticket out there.
If you don't move, I'll shove
this thing up your ass.
-Don't threaten me with a good time.
-Move!
- Cameron... be careful, I guess.
Shit.
-Oh, God damn. How...
How did this shut off again?
Damn computer.
-It's not working?
-Shatterface keeps messing with it.
Let's go to the editing bay.
Let's try in there. Come on.
-Aah! Aah!
-I'm not gonna let you hurt anyone else.
You're recording right now, aren't you?
You're not going to stop, either?
Well, come on, then!
[Cameron] Jake!
- Stay there!
Get the fuck off me!
Aah! Aah!
-Aaahhhh!
Aah!
- [gasping] Oh, my God.
No, no!
[wailing]
-[panting]
-[Brick] How tall is she?
-She's like 5'2".
-There's something wrong with this.
What do you mean?
- The point of view is off.
The person who attacked me
was a lot taller,
a lot bigger than that.
So, that means...
-There's two Shatterfaces.
We're double-fucked.
-Got this.
-We're dead!
- We're good.
I'll get you out of here.
We're gonna get out of here, okay?
We're gonna be fine.
[outfit crinkling, bones cracking]
-[panting]
[clattering overhead]
[gasps]
[computer beeps]
-Oh, shit.
We're being toyed with.
-What do you mean?
-Shatterface squared wants us to find out
if Cameron's really alive or not.
And we will in the student lounge.
-Where is that?
-Upstairs.
-No, you stay here.
-No, I'm coming with you.
- Okay. Easy, 007.
Are you like a walking armory?
Do you got one for me at least?
- No. Okay.
Can you show me how to get over there?
Run quickly...
- Heads will roll.
-Put it down.
Now.
Sit down.
We need eyes. Okay?
- All right.
See that screen?
- Mm-hmm.
-You see something, scream.
All right, show me the way.
- So, you're armed with a gun
and I'm armed with a scream?
-Stay behind me.
-[panting]
[rattling]
- [inhales, exhales sharply] Okay.
Come on, Greg.
You know how this is gonna go.
Be smarter.
You're safe in here.
No, I gotta go, I gotta go,
I gotta go, I gotta go.
Be a man!
Okay, okay. [breathing heavily]
You took karate in seventh grade.
You know how to kill someone, okay?
This is for the Nobel
Peace Prize. Let's do it.
-Cameron?
Cameron?
[gasps] Oh, my God!
[panting]
- Confirmed! Confirmed!
Confirmed! Confirmed!
- Tiffany? Come here.
Tiffany, now eyes on me.
Eyes on me. Hand on
my right shoulder, please.
Okay.
- Stay on my shoulder.
Okay? Let's move out.
Stay with me.
Stay with me.
- Okay. [crying]
-[breathing heavily]
Confirmed.
Aah! [groans]
No, no, no! No!
[groaning]
[groaning continues]
[gagging]
[neck twists]
[thud, blood squelches]
- Stay on my shoulder.
I'll get us out of here.
[suspenseful music plays]
Stay here.
- [gasps] Oh, my God!
[wailing]
-I'm sorry, kid.
You're next. Go.
Go! Move!
- [panting] Oh, my God.
-I'm coming for you. Now!
-Jake? Oh, my God.
-Can you take care of him?
Yeah.
- Cameron's dead.
Yeah.
- I can't... I can't do this anymore.
- Computers are still down.
Come on. What is this?
-Let's go. Come on.
Arm, arm, arm.
Let's get up.
Ugh! Okay. And step.
Aah!
-Shit! Don't move!
[gun fires]
[Jake, Brick groaning]
-[Brick] What the hell?
[punches landing,
Brick groaning, coughing]
-Take the mask off, would you?
We're done.
-[Brick] What the...
Run!
[gun fires]
[body thuds]
[panting]
- [Brick groans]
- That's enough, Lacey.
It's over.
- It's over when I say it's over,
stepbrother.
-Stepbrother?
-My mom, his dad... it was a thing.
-[groans]
-[Lacey] Show her.
-[Katie] You want to play tag?
-[Lacey] Well, we're gonna do our dance,
and then we can go get ice cream, okay?
And then maybe we'll play tag.
How does that sound?
Good? Yeah.
-[crying]
-[Jake] But not this time, okay?
-Your tears mean nothing to us.
What really sent us over the edge
was your blatant disregard for human life!
A human life that you took,
and now you pay.
-Aah! [wails]
-She's been through enough, Lacey!
This was never part of it.
- The killer developing feelings
for his prey... how special.
-Stop!
-What, were you gonna fucking marry her
and have murder babies?
-Can we just end this?
-I would love to.
- We'll stream her confessing
everything and then post it.
This was never part of the plan.
Plans change!
- No!
- Ho, ho!
You're just like your father.
You'll do anything to protect your image.
-Lacey, stop!
- He uses money.
You use children.
And I don't know what's fucking worse!
-[Tiffany] No!
Aah!
- Lacey, stop!
-You can't chill out for one damn second?!
-I'm coming for you, bitch!
-Ah!
- Help! Jake and Lacey
are the killers. Help me!
-But this is the killer.
Get out!
Walk!
-I found him wearing this.
I did it.
-You found the real killer, Mommy.
-I did!
- "Mommy"?
- Eric didn't do this shit.
She's trying to set him up.
- Careful. That's our mother
you're talking about.
-Your mother, remember?
Dad did say never to trust you.
-Jake, what are you doing?
-You tried to take me out twice.
Like for real!
-And you wouldn't fucking die.
-You... Aah! Aah-aah!
Why?
- Because real family
would have protected her.
We'll take it from here.
[knife clicks]
- Aah! Oh!
-Did I do good, Mommy?
-Yes, you did, baby.
-Now let's finish this.
-You killed your own brother.
- Stepbrother.
And he fucking deserved it.
- My beautiful, little girl?
She had her whole life.
And you took it from her!
-You know, she used to hold my pinkie
when she was falling asleep?
- [vehicle approaching]
-Dad! Aah!
Get away from her!
- What are you doing here?
-I got a call that you were in danger.
- [Smith] Yeah, that was me.
[laughs]
You're gonna want to hear this, too.
Your daughter murdered
my sweet, little girl.
She's gone.
And we were never the same.
- Raahhh!
-They took me off the streets.
They said I was too erratic.
Threw me in the basement
to digitize their records.
If it wasn't for this file
being put in the wrong place,
I would have never known.
The file was all wrong.
It said Katie fell, hit her
head, and died instantly.
Nooooo!
-Smith, what is this?
-He ruined my life.
-You're fired!
-[Smith] Our lives.
And so here we are.
- Look, I'll give you anything.
You just let her go. Please.
Tell her.
- Tell her what?!
- You know exactly what!
Tell her!
-Aah! Aah-aah!
- Hey, hey! Stop, stop, stop!
I'll tell her.
Fine. I'll tell her.
- The floor is yours.
-Judge needed the money.
He was a compulsive gambler.
Tiffany, it...
It didn't take much convincing.
-I would have turned myself in!
-It was the only way to save you and Eric.
- [Smith] And now look where we are.
[gun fires]
- Aah-aah-aah!
[Tiffany] Dad! Oh, God!
- You are finally
going to get what you deserve.
-So are you.
- Ha ha!
I am going to tear you apart!
-Get her, Lacey!
-Let's go.
[Lacey laughs]
-[groaning]
No!
- [gun fires]
-[Tiffany] Eric!
[Eric coughing]
-Lacey!
Mommy's here, sweetie.
Mommy's here.
Eric.
- [coughing]
-Oh, baby. Mommy's here.
You ruined my family!
-Hey, rent-a-cop?
[gun fires]
Are you okay?
- Yeah.
-Okay. You got them?
- Yeah.
Eric, Eric? Lift your head.
Lift your head.
I got you. I got you. I got you.
I got it. I got it. Okay.
You're okay.
- [Eric panting]
- You're gonna be okay.
You're gonna be okay.
-Hey, Tiffany?
How do you want this to end?
-I did it for Katie!
-I'm done.
It's gonna be okay.
I'm gonna be okay.
I'm sorry.
- Deep breaths. Deep breaths.
I got you. I got you. I got you.
I'm so sorry.
- I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
- I'm sorry.
-It's okay.
-'Cause I know, babe
I know you ain't going away,
someone else
- Let's go. Fighting stance.
Last one of the night.
All right, show me what you got.
One-two. One, two.
Over. Yes!
All right.
One-two again.
One, two. Yes!
Over, over, over.
Okay.
Keep dancing, keep dancing.
All right. One-two.
One, two. Over.
Whoosh! All right.
One-two. Boom! Yeah!
Over, over, over. Yes!
Good job, guys.
All right, we're all done for today.
Here's your goodie bags.
-Hey, Tiffany, let's take a photo.
- No. That's okay.
Um... why don't we
just put the phone away
and enjoy this moment?
Here's your goodie bag.
All right.
And I have your goodie bag, too.
Right here. There you go.
Where did you get that?
-From my backpack.
-That's okay.
It wasn't supposed to be in there.
You have a good night, okay?
[mask thuds]
- Shattered glass
screams in the night
Whos behind the mask,
who turns on the light?
Blood runs cold
in the digital streams
Wake up,
your life isn't what it seems
Fingers tap keys,
death takes a bow
Masked faces laughing,
cant stop it now
Friends fall like dominoes,
whispers in the air
Cant trust the silence
or whos standing there
Shattered glass
screams in the night
Whos behind the mask,
who turns on the light?
Blood runs cold
in the digital streams
Wake up,
your life isn't what it seems
Run, run,
but the walls close in
Your breath, your pulse,
your fragile skin
Every corner a camera,
every move a stage
Who wrote the script?
Who set the cage?
Shadows creeping,
walls are bleeding
Picture frames,
cracking hearts receding
Eyes on the screen,
feed the fear, feed the fire
Your dreams caught
in razor wire
-Good morning, everybody.
It's Tiffany, and guess what day it is?
It is my first day of senior
year, and I am so excited.
Over the summer, I was
extremely busy with my dad.
We went on a couple trips,
and it was just lovely
to spend time with him
and connect with him.
But now that I'm back,
I have a lot of goals.
Hey, everybody. It's Tiffany.
This week at school it is Spirit
Week because it's homecoming.
And today is a theme day
of wearing pajamas.
So I'm wearing this beautiful
matching set that my dad got me.
And I'm really excited
for all the other days.
We've got some
really cool themes coming up,
and I will be doing outfit reveals
and streaming all of it this whole week.
Hey, everybody. It's Tiffany.
Yes, it is spooky season, officially.
I have been making
so many snacks, so many treats.
And tonight I'm doing a huge group costume
with all my friends.
There are a lot of soccer players.
We all organized it,
so all my friends
will be showing up to our party
as soccer players and I,
yes, me, I am the referee.
Hi, everybody. It's Tiffany.
Oh, you guys are already joining.
Hey. [chuckles]
Yes, I am all dolled up
because tonight is prom.
My beautiful boyfriend, Eric, is
about to come pick me up,
and I'm very excited.
We're gonna do a little dinner
before, head to the venue,
and just dance the night away.
Okay. Logging in.
I got in.
I got in, I got in, I got in, I got in!
Oh, my God.
Dad, Dad, I got in. I got in.
Oh, my God!
-[Warren] You did it, princess.
I knew you could!
-Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Mount Chester University, here we come!
Oh, my God!
Wow. I just finished rehearsal
for graduation.
We just did our whole little walk-through.
And it's such a surreal feeling
to be graduating.
And I just... I just can't wait.
I cannot wait for my life
after this moment.
[vehicle door closes, engine starts]
-It was a lot of fun.
Yeah.
- Big mess.
But I'll take care of it.
All right.
I'm all partied out.
You two kids take it from here.
- Thanks for the party, Dad.
It was amazing.
-Oh, anything for you, princess.
Uh, you guys wouldn't be happen
to going to the beach club
for that big party tonight, would you be?
-Uh, how did you know about that?
- Come on.
It's my job to know everything!
- Yeah, we were planning on it,
if that's okay.
Of course!
Want to take the car?
Dad, you did not!
- [laughs]
Oh, my God, it's... it's gorgeous.
Well, you deserve it.
You've been working hard, great grades.
And you need it at school next fall.
-[Tiffany] Thanks, Dad.
Oh, my God, everyone is gonna
die when they see it!
All right... there you go.
- Thank you.
-I'll let you two kids have fun.
Eric?
- Yeah.
- Take care of my princess.
Right?
You got it.
- Have a great night.
All right.
- Love you, Dad.
I love you, too, honey.
- Thank you so much!
- I'm gonna leave
the porch light on for you.
Okay. Bye!
- Bye, guys.
-Yeah. Thanks, Mr. Clarke.
Oh, my God!
-[Eric] Are you kidding me?
-What?
I... I cannot believe
that he did this.
- Yeah. No, he went all-out.
This is insane.
I got a handshake from my dad.
- [chuckles] Yeah, he's my big oak tree.
No. Come on, let's go.
In, in, in!
Ahh!
Oh, my God!
Start it up.
- Okay.
[engine starts, revs]
-[Eric] Oh, come on. Come on.
-Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited over here.
Oh, my God!
-Stepping over the edge
Catch your shadow,
your reflection
- Are you ready to make
everyone jealous of us tonight?
Yeah. Sure.
- Oh, my God.
- Are all those followers
just gonna be so heartbroken?
[chuckles]
-Guess what I just got?
-Yeah, she's got me. Hi.
-Yes, I've got you, too.
But check this ride out.
I mean, come on!
And he's cute, too. So, yeah.
-Hey, babe? Babe?
Whoa!
- [thud]
-[tires screech]
[both breathing heavily]
What the hell was that?
Okay. Hey. It's all right.
It's okay.
I'm good.
-[gasps]
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Eric, Eric... I didn't...
I didn't mean to do that.
I didn't mean to do that.
I didn't mean to do it.
I didn't mean to do that.
- Somebody's coming.
No, no, no.
- It's okay.
- Eric. Eric! Let go of me.
Let go! No, no, no, no.
[car door slams]
[breathing heavily]
[cellphone ringing]
[breathing heavily]
[ringing continues]
Damn it.
-[Jake] Hey, yo, Tiffany, you coming?
It's dying out pretty quick in here.
You're about to miss everything.
I'm on my way.
[exhales sharply]
-[laughs] This is great!
-If you say so.
- Oh, speaking of boyfriend,
I told you he would text me.
-How come I've never seen this boyfriend?
- Because some things are kept
behind closed doors.
-Okay. [sighs]
Where's Tiffany tonight?
Out saving the red panda
population or something?
Nah, she's on her way.
- Okay.
-Well, she really shouldn't make you wait.
I mean, I wouldn't.
-[scoffs]
Hey!
- Hey.
Yeah, I knew you'd show up.
- Where'd everybody go?
- Well, they left.
I told you it was thinning out.
-I'm gonna head out.
- Oh! Oh, hey, hey.
Come on. You're underage.
-Lacey said it was okay.
- Come on, killjoy.
It's all in good fun.
-Go home.
- I'm so glad you graced us
with your perfect presence.
- Come on.
What is your deal with me, huh?
- Deal?
Oh, there's no deal.
I'm just overjoyed that you took
time away from social media
flaunting daddy's money.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Your "charitable" ideas.
- Hmm. Would my time
be better spent working my way
through Alpha Beta Who's the Next Guy?
-[scoffs]
Yeah.
Prissy, little bitch!
-Hey.
Ooh.
That's not good.
[glass shatters]
- [laughs]
Yeah? All right.
- Oh, hey, hey!
What a night we're having, huh?
- Yeah, let him save you,
just like daddy always does.
And you, you fucking simp.
- Simp?
-[groaning]
Come here!
[glass shatters]
What?!
Haven't had enough yet?
[glass shatters]
- Aah!
[Tiffany groaning]
No!
[Tiffany] Get off me!
- [coughing]
Eric!
[panting]
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
- Yeah. Yeah.
So, who's the simp now?
Let her go.
- Go home and sober up, okay?
-This isn't over.
-You come at me again, you'll regret it.
-[snorts] Whatever. Move!
-Oh, look at you.
Sure did some damage with those.
-Yeah. I know.
Screw it. Two shots.
- Yeah! Hey!
To the champ!
[cheers and applause]
-Look at you
Hands up if you wanna move
Hands up to the roof
when I count to three
Hands up to the roof
if you're b-a-d
I know you think I'm special,
yes
-Hey! Get into it! Ah!
Ah-ooh! Whoo!
[cellphones ringing, chiming]
Ooh! Ah!
Hello? Party's here!
What are y'all looking at?
-Greg? Greg?
That's Trish.
What the hell is she doing?
What the hell is this?
[suspenseful music plays]
Trish! Are you in there?
- I'm a little busy right now.
- Dude, it's okay
if your boyfriend doesn't exist.
We've all been there.
- I-I do. I do have a boyfriend.
I'm with him right now.
-Okay, dude, whatever you say.
[cellphone beeps]
Hey, Trish?
Are you okay? Trish?
- No, no, no, no, no! Aah!
[screaming]
[screaming continues]
[coughing]
[both gasp]
[blood squelches]
[panting] What...
- Oh, my God.
Did anybody call the cops?
- Yes, I'm on it.
[door creaks]
-There's a murderer on the loose.
How do you feel?
Do you think she's dead?
How did he do it?
Who's the murderer?
Who do you think the murderer is?
I'm trying to get to the bottom of this.
This is an investigation
ongoing as of now!
- Kiki. Kiki, please!
Please. No!
[door rattling]
Please!
I didn't do anything. I
don't... Aah! [panting]
Please!
Please! I didn't do anything.
No! Please, please, please.
Please.
No! [crying]
[knife whooshes]
[gagging]
[knife twists]
[coughing]
[blood gushing]
[birds chirping]
-What's up, guys?
Welcome back to my channel.
Greg here, where crime is cringe
but my content isn't.
So, Lacey and Trish,
completely slaughtered.
So not a slay.
The police are in their clueless era,
which I don't understand
because the kill was
literally livestreamed.
But don't worry. I'm gonna
get to the bottom of this.
- So, can you tell us what do you
plan on doing on campus today?
- Well, as of right now,
the campus is on lockdown.
Nobody's coming or going until it's lifted
unless it's a medical emergency,
and then we'll get...
-Bullshit!
Is there a killer on campus
who's bloodthirsty for clicks?
-Greg, didn't you graduate?
Aren't you, like, 30 years old?
- 27!
And I just love seeing
your filler... I mean face.
-You need to leave the investigation
up to the professionals.
- I'm the voice of the voiceless.
- Oh, God. I don't have time
for your games.
Go call your mommy.
- Yeah, I already did.
She says hi.
-Take care of this.
- Okay.
Send your minion after me.
Let's go.
- Nice, big shot!
Go home, kid!
- I'm 27!
-Hey. Detective Brick.
- Hey. Thanks.
That kid was relentless.
- Yeah. Hey, look. I need to ask
you some questions.
- Okay.
But you got to keep up.
-Oh, and don't forget to tell your friends
to subscribe to all of Jake's
social-media pages, too.
Follow his journey to the pros!
Yo, playboy.
-Out of here.
Man, y'all got a whole season this year.
Y'all do some community work or something.
-Yes, sir!
- [Greg] Whoa!
Get out of the way!
Just learned how to do this.
I don't know how to stop!
I stopped. I stopped.
Don't worry, subscribers.
I'm here. I'm queer.
And the truth is near.
Greg out!
- [Jake] Greg, what are you doing?
-Just trying to lighten the mood.
Come on.
You all are thinking it.
- Can you just try
and tone it down a little?
-Tone it down?
You should tell that
to the comment section.
Did you see what people were writing
when it was actually happening?
Brutal.
Jesus Christ.
- [Greg] No pun intended.
- That's insensitive.
I actually have to save lives.
- Well, maybe we can save
some together at the morgue.
- Greg, shouldn't you be more,
I don't know, mature?
-I'm 27.
-Eh, pushing 30.
-You're pushing retirement.
I need confirmation of deaths.
- Alex Jones, what would you like
to tell us now?
- I'd like to say
that I'm a different Greg.
Okay, you guys, I've changed.
This summer, I went
backpacking throughout Europe,
and I really got in touch with my roots.
-What roots?
-You should ask that to your hair stylist.
Do you guys even know what
"Greg" means in ancient Greece?
-[Jake] No.
- Of course you don't, because
you're just a football player.
It means watchful.
- Bingo!
Got an A-plus in ancient history
right here.
- Okay, Greg, what are you trying
to say, man? Spit it out.
- Not to impede
on my investigative journalism.
This will bring in so many
subscribers to my channel.
-Yeah, except we all saw it, on-screen.
- Yeah, and that video already
cracked over a million views.
Tits, ass, and blood...
The Holy Trinity to bringing
in subscribers.
-You're sick.
- Careful.
You're the T&A in this equation.
-Do you like having teeth in your mouth?
-Sometimes.
Speaking of teeth bashing,
how's that hand?
You ice it after that bar brawl?
She started it.
- True.
Tell me more about your
deep desire to rid the world
of assholes in the most public,
beautiful, and violent ways.
- [Jake] Leave it alone, Greg.
Just leave it.
-Okay, I don't have time for this.
I have to go home and get my
livestream ready for my kids,
which is important.
- I figured they
would have canceled that event.
-Well, they haven't canceled it yet.
- [Dr. Machar] It was
an accident. You panicked.
It's a natural human reaction.
-I just feel like Eric moved on,
and he's in his own little world,
and I'm just, like...
stuck there.
- Well, everybody deals with
traumatic events differently.
How's your sleeping?
- I'm waking up
with some tightness in my chest
and the sweats.
And, um, sometimes I drift off
and replay it all again
in my head.
- That would be the
post-traumatic stress disorder.
From your social media,
looks like everything else
is going better in your life?
- That's the only reality
I can control, so...
-I want you to listen.
You have started a program
to help underprivileged kids.
You are giving kids educational
opportunities and sponsorships
for a better life.
You shouldn't let your past define you.
[alarm rings]
And that's our time.
So... I'll refill
your prescription.
Okay?
-Proloft? Same dose.
-Yeah.
Also, if you see Eric, give him my best.
[birds chirping]
-Hi, fighters. It's Tiffany.
I am so excited
for our event this weekend.
This is the official...
You editing Tiffany's video?
- Yeah.
-Let's see.
-[Tiffany] Little fighter T-shirts...
-No, get rid of that CGI bullshit, okay?
I want the real raw emotion.
- Yeah, I got it.
- And that green screen?
Trash. Cut it.
-Look, the sooner I can get this done,
the sooner I can get the hell out of here.
So, if you want me
to change anything else,
please get it out now.
- I'm sorry.
Where do you think you want to go?
You don't want to hang out
with the underprivileged youth
of America?
Show them a fun time?
Or even better, figure out
who's the Mount Chester Mangler?
-The Mount Chester Mangler.
-Mm-hmm. Thought of that myself.
I was also thinking of...
"Shatterface."
I just didn't know
if it was too... meta.
-Yeah. No.
It's badass, but to be honest
with you, I can't really indulge
in your true-crime, paranoid,
investigator bullshit right now,
especially if you
still think Covid-19 was a hoax.
- Uh, rewind.
Never said it was a hoax.
What I said was the media perpetuated it
through fearmongering propaganda,
and Big Pharma swooped in and profited.
- You gave me Covid three times.
It does make sense.
Exactly. It wasn't a hoax.
- Hey, can we talk?
-Yeah.
-Dr. Machar sends his best.
-Give me a break.
- You were doing so much better
when you had someone to talk to.
-I had you to talk to.
-I couldn't function, okay?
I needed a friend...
not a boyfriend.
-Yeah. What about Jake?
You function with him.
-You know Jake is a friend.
- [scoffs] Yeah.
Does he know that?
- You know, I actually
thought we should probably add
a disclaimer to this video.
Something like, "Killer on
campus. Enter at your own risk."
Which is kind of what I'm
doing with this conversation.
- No, this is great.
Please stay.
-Hey.
So, what'd I miss?
-Nothing.
-Some great news...
I actually pulled off
that sneaker donation.
That's awesome.
- I know, right?
Greg, I may actually give
you some credit on that.
- Uh, um, the promoter canceled
the kids' visit tomorrow. So...
- Oh. I'm sorry. I know how much
that meant to you.
Look, we can still do something.
It doesn't have to end like that.
-I'll still, um, get your video done.
Gotta go.
- I'll go with you.
-She's really great.
-Yeah. Yeah, she is.
- And I think she feels
the same way about you.
Lunch?
-Yeah. Yeah, that'd be great.
- No, no, no, you keep working.
You got to fuel up.
What do you want?
- I don't know.
Just give me one of those wraps.
-Wrapping on it.
-Thanks.
[knock on door]
-[Detective Brick] Dr. Machar?
Yes. Can I help you?
- Detective Brick.
Time for some questions?
- Uh, in reference to?
-Oh, I'm sure you heard what happened
at the college the other night.
- Yeah.
That was a horrible tragedy.
- Certainly is.
That's why I'm here.
I got a question
about one of your patients.
Do you still see Tiffany Clarke?
- Yeah.
I'm sorry, but that is, uh,
doctor-patient confidentiality.
I'm sure you already know.
- Okay.
Let's keep this simple, then.
Night of the murder,
she and one of the victims
got into a big fight.
-[Dr. Machar] Really?
-So, help me out here.
-[sighs] I don't know.
- All right, Dr. Machar,
this can go two ways.
One, I go get a subpoena.
I come back, bring you in for questioning.
Call the media.
Make this a big deal.
Or you just help me out.
Call it giving a little peace of mind.
- If what you're asking me is
if I thought she was a threat,
the answer is no.
If I did, I would have reported it by law.
-Hm. All right.
How long have you been seeing her?
- [Dr. Machar] A few years.
Now, look. I'm sorry.
I would love to help,
but I cannot violate
my patient's trust. Okay?
-Okay. Get it. Here's my card.
You think of anything that could
help me out, you let me know.
[cellphone buzzes]
Hello? I'm on my way.
-Is everything okay?
-It's confidential.
- [Tiffany] Hi, fighters.
It's me, Tiffany.
Hi, little fighters, it is Tiffany here.
I am so excited for our event
coming up very, very soon.
This is our official Tiffany's
Little Fighters T-shirts,
and if you attend, you'll get one, too.
At this event, we're going to have a...
[suspenseful music plays]
-Aah!
[grunting]
[panting]
[groaning, panting]
Aah!
- Aah! Aah! Aah-aah!
Aah-aah-aah!
Aah-aah! Aah-aah!
Oh, my God!
-[Eric] Go, go, go, go, go, go!
[both panting]
-I just wanted to eat.
-'Cause I know, babe
I know
- How many lotions does
one need in the bathroom?
-Take a video.
How about this one, Tiffany?
Hmm?
-Anyway, I gotta go.
I still got that phone call
with the shoe donation.
- Well, that means a lot, Jake.
Thank you.
- Yeah. No problem.
Anything for you and the kids.
-And post.
You know Jake has a thing for you, right?
What?
- I was literally standing
in front of him in a bikini,
and he was staring at you.
Jake's a friend.
- Mm-hmm.
-Oh, I'm already up a thousand likes!
[cellphone beeps]
-Eric?
What? What is it?
- It's Eric.
Let's go. I'll drive.
- Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I got your bag.
- [Cameron] Yeah.
Yeah, just got to the hospital.
- [Smith] Detective Brick?
- I'm going to go check him out.
Let me call you back.
-I came as soon as I got the call.
[panting] I found this
in the hallway at the school.
-Tiffany Clarke.
How do you know?
- It's my job to know.
I got some questions.
Let's go ask them.
-I'm glad you're okay.
My shift's in an hour anyway, so
I'm just gonna clock in early.
Stay safe.
- Okay. Yeah.
- Well...
Well, you are lucky.
- [Eric] It doesn't feel like it.
-There you go.
Just sit tight.
-Pop this on. You need it.
-Where did you get this?
- A journalist can
never reveal their sources.
So, Cameron went to the morgue?
Is that right?
Just...
- I'm just...
- [Eric] Please do not. Can you?
For five seconds.
- You guys. You guys.
Okay? I need these photos.
You don't understand the views
it'll bring to my page.
Look.
Look what the blood brought in.
[Tiffany] Greg.
- [Smith] Where there's chaos,
I can always count on you
to be around, Greg!
-Mm-hmm.
I know you.
You're that detective
that big-timed me.
- Yeah. It's Detective Brick.
You want to explain to me
why this photo was at the crime scene?
- This photo was taken
in high school. I don't know.
- [Detective Brick] Yeah.
So who wants to hurt you?
-Don't answer that.
- Quite the bar fight
you had last night with Lacey.
- I won't be talking anymore
until I have my lawyer.
-[Greg] Yeah, that's her daddy.
Real daddy, not sugar daddy.
-You do what you gotta do.
But you're all on my radar.
Let's go.
[indistinct chatter in background]
-I'll be right back.
-Where are you going?
-I'm thirsty.
-Right.
-For knowledge.
- Why was there a photo of me
at the crime scene?
-Does somebody know something?
-I don't know.
-[humming]
[door closes]
[suspenseful music plays]
-[Greg] Cameron!
- Greg...
what are you doing here?
- Listen.
I need to get to the morgue.
Finding answers there
will bring me one step closer
to a Nobel Peace Prize.
And you're the only one
who can help me get there.
- And what makes you think
that I'm willing
to risk my future career here
just to help with your research?
- Think about what this story
will do to both of our channels.
Okay? We'll become like
true-crime heroes,
subscribers for centuries.
- Well, no one's gonna let you in
there dressed like that, anyway.
-Dressed like what?
-Ew. Dirty scrubs. Really?
- Ew. Dirty pics
to the entire football team
while you're in a relationship?
Really?
-Whatever.
Just take elevator "B"
to the lowest level.
Take a right.
You'll see the signs.
-Thank you.
I haven't seen anything.
I promise.
And I'll shout you out in my next video.
-If you get caught, I don't know you.
New phone. Who dis?
- [door closes]
[indistinct chatter]
-[bartender] Another?
- Excuse me. Can I get a tequila
neat, please?
-Absolutely.
-You went through my mailbox.
That is illegal.
- "Illegal." Coming from you?
-All right, I'll talk.
-Hm.
Good, 'cause I'm just a little curious.
What's the relationship
between you, Tiffany,
and that bank account?
-Listen.
Warren Clarke just wanted
to keep his daughter safe.
Okay?
He wanted me to be his eyes
while she was at the school.
He told me that he would pay me
handsomely to reassure her
and give her anything that she needed.
Here are those drinks.
- Thank you. That's good.
Get this out of your way.
- [Dr. Machar] Thank you.
-Anything she needs, huh?
Yeah.
- Like pills?
-That's as much as I can say, okay?
I'm sorry.
Doctor-patient confidentiality.
- You took a bribe
to whisper sweet nothings
in a little girl's ear
and numb her with pills.
-I was trying to make her feel safe.
-You need to redefine what "safe" means.
-All right. Look.
She told me that she was in a car accident
when she was in her teens.
It took her nearly a year
to tell me about it,
and I tried to find information
about it myself, but I...
- Let me guess.
You found nothing.
-Yeah.
-Why don't you stick to what you do?
I'm a detective for a reason.
Because I go look for things, I find it.
And I found that
that bank account paid off
an Honorable Jonathan Riley
four years ago.
-You think that...
-Oh, I ain't gonna discuss that with you.
- Wait. Look, please.
Let me help, okay?
Come on. Let me help.
-You have done a disservice to you,
your profession, and that little girl.
- Yeah. You're... you're right.
I'm sorry.
Okay, I am so... sorry.
Right?
- Sorry.
Why are you apologizing to me?
You weren't lying to me
for the last four years.
[door opens]
[suspenseful music plays]
[door creaks, shuts]
-Oh, visual confirmation.
[door closes]
[footsteps approaching]
Duck!
[footsteps approaching]
-[man] Oh, yeah.
Break time.
What? Fuck this, fuck this.
- [man] What are you doing here?
- I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Okay?
I needed a safe place to go.
You're doing a great job
cutting everything up. I just...
I'm gonna let you get back.
I won't tell anybody about that.
-Get out of here!
- Five-second rule.
Science-approved.
[door opens, closes]
You guys. Oh, my God!
No!
- Yes!
What did you find?
- Death confirmed on Trish.
-Why did you doubt all of this?
The media confirmed the deaths already.
-Why wouldn't I doubt it?
Now all I need is confirmation on Lacey.
That is how a good investigative
reporter does it, my friends.
You can't believe the media.
- She's dead, Greg.
You gotta leave it alone.
-Fake news.
Now go... before the rent-a-cops find me.
[sighs]
- [engine starts]
[bottle rattles]
[suspenseful music plays]
-No, no, no, no, no!
[groaning]
[vehicle approaching]
[Greg cheering]
- You guys, my video is
up to a million views.
[cellphone chimes]
Give me the phone.
[suspenseful music plays]
Who was that?
-That was Tiffany's therapist.
-He was your therapist, too.
-What am I missing?
-Um, we need to get a group together.
This is not safe.
- Yeah, yeah, I agree,
but, um, I need to go home
and make an apology video
to the kids first.
- What? You need to go home?
No, you can do that here.
This means a lot to me, Eric.
- Okay. Yeah, I understand that.
But you don't need to go home for that.
I'm coming with you, at least.
- No.
-I'm not letting you out of my sight.
Not after that. Are you serious?
-[Greg] He has a point.
- Okay, look. I will be back
at the studio in one hour, okay?
Make sure you get Jake
and Cameron there, okay?
-Whatever.
-Let's get going. [grunting]
Don't speed.
Why are none of my pictures uploading?
[engine starts]
You good?
- [Eric] Yeah.
- Look, I'm sorry if you
think I'm doing too much, okay?
I'm just trying to let people
know. All right?
The cops aren't telling us shit,
and we have lives to save.
- Yeah. Okay. Well, what do you
want them to say exactly?
I'm sorry.
Do you want them to post
dead bodies on social media?
-I mean, if they're not gonna, I will.
Hey, wait.
There's a killer on the loose.
What's up, everyone?
Welcome back to my channel.
It's your boy, Greg.
Now, before we get into the nitty-gritty,
if you could smash that "like"
button and hit "subscribe,"
it'll kill me if you don't.
Okay.
The body toll keeps rising,
and I am here to confirm
that Trish is no longer with us.
[computer beeps]
Ooh, a comment.
"Shut up, you mouth-breather."
Okay, say that
to my deviated septum, asshole.
[computer beeps]
Oh, Nurse Cameron, what do you got to say?
9 "Stop inciting, freak!"
Hey, Cameron, why don't you
go take another photo shoot?
Have fun.
- [computer beeps]
Oh, okay.
Third time's a charm.
Please be nice.
"Shouldn't you have graduated
already?"
You know, it's called
furthering one's education.
Okay, back to business.
Tonight we are meeting
at the communications building.
There is power in numbers.
So be there or be...
[computer beeps]
- What is this?
[panting] Eric?!
-I'm not going on your show, man.
-No, Tiffany's on my show, man.
- Yeah, she's doing that thing
for the kids.
-No, she's being live-streamed.
Get over here now!
Come on.
[suspenseful music plays]
Call her, call her.
- Yeah, yeah, I'm doing it.
-[Tiffany] Hey, guys,
I'm so sorry that we had
to cancel our event.
But don't worry, friends.
I will make sure that the
next time we're all together,
it will be memorable.
- [cellphone buzzing]
Hey. What's up?
-Hey, you got to get out of the house.
You're being live-streamed.
Someone's there with you.
We can see you.
Hey, can you stay on the line?
Can you hear me? Tiffany?
God damn.
Don't hang up on me.
-Call her back.
[cellphone buzzing]
Get away from the closet.
Damn it!
I don't know.
Why did it go black?
Okay, well, yeah, fix it.
- I'm trying.
Fix it!
- I'm trying.
-[breathing heavily]
[camera thuds]
-I'll call the cops.
-Fuck! Damn it!
-Fucking old reliable.
[door creaks]
[clatters]
- Aah!
[panting]
- [doorknob rattling]
[rattling continues]
Oh! [panting]
Jake!
- Yeah!
-Someone's in the house.
Here?
- Yeah.
I don't know.
I think someone's in the house.
-Nobody's here.
[Tiffany] No! Jake!
- Aah!
[Tiffany screams]
No, no, no!
[yelling]
-[groaning]
-Aah! Aah! Help me!
-Raahhh!
-[panting]
Oh, my God.
Oh my God.
- [groans]
-Oh, my God, your shoulder.
I'm fine! I'm good.
- Are you sure?
I'm good, good.
I'm good. I'm good.
Okay.
- [both panting]
-What the hell?
-What is that?
-Wait. [groans]
[groans]
-Oh, my God!
-What the hell, Tiffany?
- Okay,
we need to find Eric... now.
Let's go. Come on.
[groans]
- Come on.
[cellphone buzzing]
-Who is it?
-Hello?
- [Jake] Hey, man, it's Jake.
Tiffany's okay.
We're headed
to the communications building.
-We'll meet you downstairs.
[Jake groaning]
- Come on.
Are you okay?
- Yeah. Are you good?
-That looks so painful.
-Don't touch me.
[Eric] You're okay?
- Yeah. I'm good.
You're not doing that again.
- I know. You saw that?
Yeah.
- No. We're good.
-And where did you come from?
-Cameron told me to check up on her.
- Oh, yeah. And you were just
in the neighborhood?
-She was worried about her, and so was I.
Bullshit.
- Okay. Eric, stop.
If it wasn't for him...
-Let's put the testosterone away, okay?
Let's go back to editing bay.
Hut!
-Let's go.
-Don't they say that in football?
- Detective Brick?
Tiffany's been attacked.
Where?
- [Smith] At her place.
Stay here.
- Hell, no.
I'm going with you.
-You have other officers working?
- Of course not.
The campus is on lockdown.
- Then stay here.
I work better alone.
-Look, we need to regroup
because none of this is making sense.
And I have a new piece of information.
[Tiffany] Good.
- Look. After what happened,
this link was sent out.
It's a livestream.
-Okay, well, who else got the link?
-Probably all of us.
[footsteps approaching]
[gasps]
- Oh, my God!
Cameron.
- Jake, that shoulder's a mess.
-Yeah.
I'm sorry, Jake.
- Don't be.
I'm just glad you're all right.
- Here, sit.
[groans]
- Here, take your shirt off.
You're lucky it's not so deep.
- Yeah?
-This link was sent from my account.
-How is that possible?
- I don't know if
somebody's trying to set me up.
-Why?
- I don't know.
Why would I incriminate myself?
-Maybe you fuckheads are doing all this.
-We're not.
[computer beeps]
You guys, you guys, get over here!
Get over here!
[cellphone buzzes]
It's rent-a-cop.
[suspenseful music plays]
-[gasps]
Why are you doing this?
[yells]
- [gun fires]
[all gasp]
Fuck, yeah!
- Okay.
-Confirm the kill!
-[gasps]
[coughing]
[knife wooshes]
- It's over. That's it?
Can you fix it?
Is there something wrong?
- There's nothing I can do, man.
This is intentional.
Shatterface is bulletproof.
So, we're shatter-fucked.
- Okay. My phone isn't working.
Greg, try your phone.
Is it working?
Any of the phones working, no?
- No, none of them.
-Why is this happening?
-I'm sorry, but they gotta know.
-[Greg] What?
- The person behind all this
left a note for Tiffany.
-What did it say?
- It says, "Your secret
is safe... for now."
-What secret?
-It was a long time ago.
And... I was young, and I...
and I was... I was foolish.
My dad had just given me a car,
and...[crying]
-You don't have to do this.
-I do.
I was driving.
And I hit something...
A little girl.
I killed her.
She was only five.
-I never heard of this story in the news,
and I Google-searched you.
- I just graduated, and...
I was about to start my life.
And I didn't know what to do.
I was an emotional wreck, and I...
And my dad told me
that he would fix everything,
and then I'd be all right.
- Great. So we're just some damn
pawns in a revenge tour.
-So, what happened to calling the cops?
-I wanted to turn myself in, okay?
I did, but my dad told me
that I would lose everything.
And since that day, I have been
trying to make it up.
-Well, you see where that got us, huh?
-We're done with this interrogation.
We're done.
- [computer beeps]
-Um, you guys, Shatterface is back.
Commence revenge tours.
[footsteps approaching]
-[groaning]
-Well, we have to do something... now!
-Tiffany!
-I don't want to be Shatter-faced, too!
Wait up!
-[panting]
-Get in here! Come on.
[gun fires]
Aah! Oh!
Jake!
-[Greg] Confirm the kill!
Take the creepy mask off.
-It ain't moving.
[groans]
- [yells]
-[Jake] Move, move, move!
-Oh, Eric!
Oh!
- Let's go! Let's go!
Get in!
- Let's go!
-[Jake] Hey! Hey! Hey!
- Guys, guys, get in, get in!
Fuck you!
[insects chirping]
[Cameron] Shit! Are you okay?
- Yeah. Just give me...
Give me something to stop the bleeding.
Put a tourniquet, something.
I just need to wrap it.
- Did you get hit in the head
with a football
one too many times?
How do you not know the difference
between a dead body and a live one?
-I thought it was dead!
- Listen! No one gets up
from two shots to the chest
unless they're wearing body armor.
-Thank you, Detective Obvious.
Clearly, Shatterface is bulletproof.
- Someone get me up
out of here. We need to move.
- [Greg] Come on, All-American,
help him up.
-Uh, let's just make a run for it.
- Yeah, let's go back outside
and Kumbaya with a killer.
-What's your strategy, then?
- We're going upstairs.
We're not staying here.
-[Greg] Come on.
[Tiffany] There.
- There, there, there.
- [Eric] Right here, right here,
right here, right here.
-What?
[computer beeps]
You guys, you guys, Shatterface...
- [distorted voice] Tiffany,
you tried to bury your secrets.
This is the real you.
-Show yourself or go fuck yourself.
-As for your friends,
they're all going to pay for what you did.
I want you to make the ultimate sacrifice.
I want him.
I want you to suffer loss
just like I have.
I'll see you soon.
[computer beeps]
- See?
Now it just doesn't make sense.
Why does he want Eric?
-Because I was with Tiffany that night.
- Well, that's a big
missing piece of the puzzle.
-We got your back, whatever it takes.
Let's set this fucker up.
- How?
- For every livestream,
location is tracked.
-Yeah, they know we're here.
So, this is
where we should make our stand.
This is our end game.
End game?
- We can stay here and fight,
or we're gonna get picked off
if we're running around.
[computer beeps]
- [Jake] I-I thought she was dead.
-Did you confirm the death? No.
We need to confirm every kill.
-We have to go help her.
-Well, exactly how do we do that?
I mean, our phones aren't quite working.
-I could go downstairs.
Yeah, I'll check the junction box.
That would work. Right?
- [Tiffany] No.
- Yeah. No, look. We know
where Shatterface is, right?
They're not here anymore.
If I'm gonna fix anything,
it has to happen now.
- Hey... you're the best roommate
I've ever had.
Be safe.
- I'm the only roommate
you're ever gonna have.
Eric...
- What?
- Be careful. Okay?
I need you to come back.
-Hey. Yeah, I'm coming back.
-Okay.
-Stay here... please.
-You're not going anywhere.
You got hit in the head pretty hard.
[Brick groans]
- I'll get Officer Smith back.
And if it's a setup,
I got something for
that sadistic ray of sunshine.
-Hey, you...
You ever use one of these?
Look, one in the chamber.
I fired two downstairs.
You have 13.
- My dad used to have something
just like this.
I'll bring it back.
-Be safe.
I don't need anything happening to you.
-I got you.
- Can you pull it up, up here?
What are you seeing?
-Locked and loaded.
Let's shatter this fucker.
-What the fuck?
[electricity crackling]
[Eric yells]
-Okay, okay.
-Look, I broke this off a paper cutter.
Flimsy. Put it back.
- Fine.
Okay, I saw somebody make an ax out
of this stuff on social media.
Guess it can work.
- Let me see 'em. Look.
Put it at a 90-degree angle.
Long one down.
- [Tiffany] Okay.
Flip the cord.
Did it look like this?
-Yeah, but not as good.
-It's called a war ax.
A Lorax?
- A war ax.
You've never heard of a war ax,
Mr. Conspiracy?
- No, I haven't.
I'm sorry, Miss DIY.
[computer beeps]
Here we go.
- [Cameron]
Jake! Jake! Watch out!
I'm going out there.
-I'm not letting you go, Lorax or not.
-That's my meal ticket out there.
If you don't move, I'll shove
this thing up your ass.
-Don't threaten me with a good time.
-Move!
- Cameron... be careful, I guess.
Shit.
-Oh, God damn. How...
How did this shut off again?
Damn computer.
-It's not working?
-Shatterface keeps messing with it.
Let's go to the editing bay.
Let's try in there. Come on.
-Aah! Aah!
-I'm not gonna let you hurt anyone else.
You're recording right now, aren't you?
You're not going to stop, either?
Well, come on, then!
[Cameron] Jake!
- Stay there!
Get the fuck off me!
Aah! Aah!
-Aaahhhh!
Aah!
- [gasping] Oh, my God.
No, no!
[wailing]
-[panting]
-[Brick] How tall is she?
-She's like 5'2".
-There's something wrong with this.
What do you mean?
- The point of view is off.
The person who attacked me
was a lot taller,
a lot bigger than that.
So, that means...
-There's two Shatterfaces.
We're double-fucked.
-Got this.
-We're dead!
- We're good.
I'll get you out of here.
We're gonna get out of here, okay?
We're gonna be fine.
[outfit crinkling, bones cracking]
-[panting]
[clattering overhead]
[gasps]
[computer beeps]
-Oh, shit.
We're being toyed with.
-What do you mean?
-Shatterface squared wants us to find out
if Cameron's really alive or not.
And we will in the student lounge.
-Where is that?
-Upstairs.
-No, you stay here.
-No, I'm coming with you.
- Okay. Easy, 007.
Are you like a walking armory?
Do you got one for me at least?
- No. Okay.
Can you show me how to get over there?
Run quickly...
- Heads will roll.
-Put it down.
Now.
Sit down.
We need eyes. Okay?
- All right.
See that screen?
- Mm-hmm.
-You see something, scream.
All right, show me the way.
- So, you're armed with a gun
and I'm armed with a scream?
-Stay behind me.
-[panting]
[rattling]
- [inhales, exhales sharply] Okay.
Come on, Greg.
You know how this is gonna go.
Be smarter.
You're safe in here.
No, I gotta go, I gotta go,
I gotta go, I gotta go.
Be a man!
Okay, okay. [breathing heavily]
You took karate in seventh grade.
You know how to kill someone, okay?
This is for the Nobel
Peace Prize. Let's do it.
-Cameron?
Cameron?
[gasps] Oh, my God!
[panting]
- Confirmed! Confirmed!
Confirmed! Confirmed!
- Tiffany? Come here.
Tiffany, now eyes on me.
Eyes on me. Hand on
my right shoulder, please.
Okay.
- Stay on my shoulder.
Okay? Let's move out.
Stay with me.
Stay with me.
- Okay. [crying]
-[breathing heavily]
Confirmed.
Aah! [groans]
No, no, no! No!
[groaning]
[groaning continues]
[gagging]
[neck twists]
[thud, blood squelches]
- Stay on my shoulder.
I'll get us out of here.
[suspenseful music plays]
Stay here.
- [gasps] Oh, my God!
[wailing]
-I'm sorry, kid.
You're next. Go.
Go! Move!
- [panting] Oh, my God.
-I'm coming for you. Now!
-Jake? Oh, my God.
-Can you take care of him?
Yeah.
- Cameron's dead.
Yeah.
- I can't... I can't do this anymore.
- Computers are still down.
Come on. What is this?
-Let's go. Come on.
Arm, arm, arm.
Let's get up.
Ugh! Okay. And step.
Aah!
-Shit! Don't move!
[gun fires]
[Jake, Brick groaning]
-[Brick] What the hell?
[punches landing,
Brick groaning, coughing]
-Take the mask off, would you?
We're done.
-[Brick] What the...
Run!
[gun fires]
[body thuds]
[panting]
- [Brick groans]
- That's enough, Lacey.
It's over.
- It's over when I say it's over,
stepbrother.
-Stepbrother?
-My mom, his dad... it was a thing.
-[groans]
-[Lacey] Show her.
-[Katie] You want to play tag?
-[Lacey] Well, we're gonna do our dance,
and then we can go get ice cream, okay?
And then maybe we'll play tag.
How does that sound?
Good? Yeah.
-[crying]
-[Jake] But not this time, okay?
-Your tears mean nothing to us.
What really sent us over the edge
was your blatant disregard for human life!
A human life that you took,
and now you pay.
-Aah! [wails]
-She's been through enough, Lacey!
This was never part of it.
- The killer developing feelings
for his prey... how special.
-Stop!
-What, were you gonna fucking marry her
and have murder babies?
-Can we just end this?
-I would love to.
- We'll stream her confessing
everything and then post it.
This was never part of the plan.
Plans change!
- No!
- Ho, ho!
You're just like your father.
You'll do anything to protect your image.
-Lacey, stop!
- He uses money.
You use children.
And I don't know what's fucking worse!
-[Tiffany] No!
Aah!
- Lacey, stop!
-You can't chill out for one damn second?!
-I'm coming for you, bitch!
-Ah!
- Help! Jake and Lacey
are the killers. Help me!
-But this is the killer.
Get out!
Walk!
-I found him wearing this.
I did it.
-You found the real killer, Mommy.
-I did!
- "Mommy"?
- Eric didn't do this shit.
She's trying to set him up.
- Careful. That's our mother
you're talking about.
-Your mother, remember?
Dad did say never to trust you.
-Jake, what are you doing?
-You tried to take me out twice.
Like for real!
-And you wouldn't fucking die.
-You... Aah! Aah-aah!
Why?
- Because real family
would have protected her.
We'll take it from here.
[knife clicks]
- Aah! Oh!
-Did I do good, Mommy?
-Yes, you did, baby.
-Now let's finish this.
-You killed your own brother.
- Stepbrother.
And he fucking deserved it.
- My beautiful, little girl?
She had her whole life.
And you took it from her!
-You know, she used to hold my pinkie
when she was falling asleep?
- [vehicle approaching]
-Dad! Aah!
Get away from her!
- What are you doing here?
-I got a call that you were in danger.
- [Smith] Yeah, that was me.
[laughs]
You're gonna want to hear this, too.
Your daughter murdered
my sweet, little girl.
She's gone.
And we were never the same.
- Raahhh!
-They took me off the streets.
They said I was too erratic.
Threw me in the basement
to digitize their records.
If it wasn't for this file
being put in the wrong place,
I would have never known.
The file was all wrong.
It said Katie fell, hit her
head, and died instantly.
Nooooo!
-Smith, what is this?
-He ruined my life.
-You're fired!
-[Smith] Our lives.
And so here we are.
- Look, I'll give you anything.
You just let her go. Please.
Tell her.
- Tell her what?!
- You know exactly what!
Tell her!
-Aah! Aah-aah!
- Hey, hey! Stop, stop, stop!
I'll tell her.
Fine. I'll tell her.
- The floor is yours.
-Judge needed the money.
He was a compulsive gambler.
Tiffany, it...
It didn't take much convincing.
-I would have turned myself in!
-It was the only way to save you and Eric.
- [Smith] And now look where we are.
[gun fires]
- Aah-aah-aah!
[Tiffany] Dad! Oh, God!
- You are finally
going to get what you deserve.
-So are you.
- Ha ha!
I am going to tear you apart!
-Get her, Lacey!
-Let's go.
[Lacey laughs]
-[groaning]
No!
- [gun fires]
-[Tiffany] Eric!
[Eric coughing]
-Lacey!
Mommy's here, sweetie.
Mommy's here.
Eric.
- [coughing]
-Oh, baby. Mommy's here.
You ruined my family!
-Hey, rent-a-cop?
[gun fires]
Are you okay?
- Yeah.
-Okay. You got them?
- Yeah.
Eric, Eric? Lift your head.
Lift your head.
I got you. I got you. I got you.
I got it. I got it. Okay.
You're okay.
- [Eric panting]
- You're gonna be okay.
You're gonna be okay.
-Hey, Tiffany?
How do you want this to end?
-I did it for Katie!
-I'm done.
It's gonna be okay.
I'm gonna be okay.
I'm sorry.
- Deep breaths. Deep breaths.
I got you. I got you. I got you.
I'm so sorry.
- I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
- I'm sorry.
-It's okay.
-'Cause I know, babe
I know you ain't going away,
someone else
- Let's go. Fighting stance.
Last one of the night.
All right, show me what you got.
One-two. One, two.
Over. Yes!
All right.
One-two again.
One, two. Yes!
Over, over, over.
Okay.
Keep dancing, keep dancing.
All right. One-two.
One, two. Over.
Whoosh! All right.
One-two. Boom! Yeah!
Over, over, over. Yes!
Good job, guys.
All right, we're all done for today.
Here's your goodie bags.
-Hey, Tiffany, let's take a photo.
- No. That's okay.
Um... why don't we
just put the phone away
and enjoy this moment?
Here's your goodie bag.
All right.
And I have your goodie bag, too.
Right here. There you go.
Where did you get that?
-From my backpack.
-That's okay.
It wasn't supposed to be in there.
You have a good night, okay?
[mask thuds]
- Shattered glass
screams in the night
Whos behind the mask,
who turns on the light?
Blood runs cold
in the digital streams
Wake up,
your life isn't what it seems
Fingers tap keys,
death takes a bow
Masked faces laughing,
cant stop it now
Friends fall like dominoes,
whispers in the air
Cant trust the silence
or whos standing there
Shattered glass
screams in the night
Whos behind the mask,
who turns on the light?
Blood runs cold
in the digital streams
Wake up,
your life isn't what it seems
Run, run,
but the walls close in
Your breath, your pulse,
your fragile skin
Every corner a camera,
every move a stage
Who wrote the script?
Who set the cage?
Shadows creeping,
walls are bleeding
Picture frames,
cracking hearts receding
Eyes on the screen,
feed the fear, feed the fire
Your dreams caught
in razor wire
