It's just a lot of pressure.
Have you ever felt
like you have millions of
eyes on you and it all
comes down to one night?
Seriously?
Hey, Jalen, it's just me, alright?
I don't have anyone to tap it in for me.
Oh my gosh, the opening number is
starting.
I gotta get to the airport.
I don't have time to sit around and steam
outfits with you.
I gotta go.
Let yourself out.
Got six hours, so I should probably
snooze.
Memorize this script or read the news.
I look over at 11C.
He's watching Triple D.
Guy Fieri's eating up on me.
Yeah, me.
We're all watching shows and smelling
feet.
Yeah, feet.
Sing it.
I love TV screens.
Michael's money troubles on the airplane,
baby.
I love TV screens.
Oh, she's getting naked.
Don't look at my screen.
Ow!
My back.
Watchin' Abbott at the Marriott.
Catch another Bronson.
Nail the shot.
Robbie's M.D.'s are fixin' up P.P.
Next, I'm eatin' beef and waffles.
Watchin' beef.
Yeah, beef.
Then I screamin' Monster Ed Gein.
He's mean.
Sing it.
I love TV screens.
Hunky-hacky, humpin', passin' popcorn,
baby.
I love TV screens.
Now I'm watchin' Hacks Get Smart with
Gene.
Ow!
DTF, I'm DTW.
Gets down to watch, but I'm the first one
to.
Take me to the Killed It H.
Then I'll swim in Widow's Bay.
Holy sh, the sea egg's chasing me.
Ah!
Eek!
Wait, it's Jen Coolidge with the boba tea.
Yummy!
Thanks, Jen.
I love TV screens.
Cloppin' to the theater on a slow horse,
baby.
I love TV screens.
I know they're not real horses,
so don't at me.
I love TV screens.
Kinda like a movie on the smaller,
baby.
I love TV screens.
So order up a pizza and watch with me.
I love TV screens.
So does everybody watchin' this show,
baby.
I love TV screens.
Now it's time for the Emmy.
Welcome to the Emmy!
Hello!
I am Mariska Hargitay.
I am so honored to be your host tonight.
Um, the Emmys are celebrating their 78th
year.
And NBC is celebrating its 100th year.
And I have been on Law & SVU for all of
them.
I am so incredibly proud to be the first
woman to host the Emmys.
In 15 years!
Guys!
Imagine that!
For 15 straight years.
Amy and Tina said no.
So I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna lie,
it's a lot of pressure.
But it is so reassuring to see so many
familiar faces out there.
And I'm just talking about... how
many of you I've arrested on SVU.
Can you believe it?
You guys have done some unspeakable
things.
I'm talking to you, Martin Short.
You should be ashamed of yourself,
my friend.
And I couldn't do any of this without
thanking the genius behind SVU,
the legendary Dick Wolf,
who has created over
40 shows, 13 of which
are on the air right now.
And I gotta say, you know, over the years,
there have been a lot of jokes about his
name, which is so unfair, because Dick
Wolf isn't even his real name.
His real name is Richard Penis.
We have incredible nominees tonight.
Some new shows that
are here for the first time,
and others that are
celebrating their series.
Finale.
Sorry.
Finale?
Sorry.
Am I saying that right?
I'm sorry, guys.
It's just that I never had one.
So, okay.
So when I was deciding to host the Emmys,
I consistently got two pieces of advice.
Number one, don't do it.
And number two, whatever you do,
don't go for sincerity.
I clearly ignored the first, so please
join me as I ignore the second.
I am truly deeply moved, and so incredibly
grateful to be in a room full of people
who have dedicated their lives to telling
stories.
Since the beginning
of time, humans have all
gathered around the light to tell stories.
Back then, it was the fire in the cave,
and now it's the screen of your choice.
But no matter how we watch,
and even though we're worlds
apart, we're all still holding
a bit of that communal light.
And at the end of the day, we come to TV
for magic, to laugh, to cry, to care,
because we need that,
all of us, that indescribable
feeling that we get when
the lights begin to dim.
Dazzling images on the silver screen.
Sound that I can feel.
No, Mariska, come on.
What?
Yes.
That's mine.
That's my bit.
You can't do that.
What?
No, no, Nicole, I'm not.
No.
Somehow, heartbreak feels good in a place
like this.
No, no, come on.
That's my line.
That is actually my line.
Zip it, movie lady.
It's TV's turn tonight.
We've got such a great show for you.
Good luck, nominees.
Looking at you, Kidman.
Now, to kick things off, please welcome
our first presenter.
She's an Emmy winner
and the funniest woman
on TV, even when it's
a podcast on YouTube.
Ladies and gentlemen, Amy Poehler.
Give it up for Mariska Hargitay,
everybody.
Crushed it.
She crushed it.
Good evening.
I am here to present
Best Supporting Actress in
a Comedy Series, the
first award of the night.
Now, we all know that
only one name will be read,
and technically that
person will be the winner.
But keep in mind that the rest of you are
all losers.
But as this show goes on, the list of
losers will grow.
Until there are so many more of you than
winners.
And collectively, we will all start to
feel like the winners are the weird ones.
And when that starts
to happen, feel free to
go up to a winner and
point at them and laugh.
Remind them that you don't care about
winning stupid awards.
And then grab your friends and form a
circle around all of the winners.
And taunt them like the freaks that they
are.
That is what tonight is about.
Here are the nominees for Best Supporting
Actress in a Comedy Series.
Dale Dickey, Widows' Bay.
Hannah Einbinder, Hacks.
Janelle James, Abbott Elementary.
Kate O'Flynn, Widows' Bay.
Michelle Pfeiffer, Margo's Got Money
Troubles.
Megan Salter, Hacks.
Jessica Williams, Shrinking.
Hilarious women all.
And the Emmy goes to...
Kate O'Flynn, Widows' Bay.
This is the first Emmy win and nomination
for Kate O'Flynn.
Thank you so much.
Oh, wow.
Gosh.
Um... I want to thank our
mayor and all the residents
of Widows' Bay in front
and behind the camera.
You're amazing.
This is the role of a lifetime.
Thank you, Katie and
Hero, for trusting this
Lancashire lass to play a
sassy broad like Patricia.
And Apple for saying yes.
Thank you, Nicky and Tony, for looking
after me.
My friends and family back home.
Mum and Dad.
And the loves of my life.
My darling husband.
And our darling daughter.
Another sassy broad in the making.
But, um...
This is for all the Patricias out there.
See you at Sunset Cocktails to celebrate.
Thank you.
Please welcome, two-time Emmy winner,
Zendaya.
Brash and brilliant.
Fearless and fierce.
Sharp and sublime.
I can keep going on
all night about words to
describe how profoundly
talented these women are.
But, let's just get to the award.
Here are the nominees for Lead Actress in
a Comedy Series.
Quinta Brunson.
Abbott Elementary.
Iowa Debris.
The Bear.
Elle Fanning.
Margot's Got Money Troubles.

And her fifth win for her portrayal of
Deborah Vance on Hacks.
Okay, just the men stay standing.
The girls get to sit down.
I'm serious.
No, I'm serious.
Every time this happens, I think of the
girls.
They're going, oh, I just got comfortable.
Why did she have to... Oh, my God.
You got your Spanx and your corset and
your tape and your thing.
The shoes that are cutting your toes off.
You're going, oh, my God.
She's not that good.
You just stood up because she's old.
Oh, my God.
Anyway, thank you.
I'm so sorry.
Oh, my God.
The time is going.
Okay, I'm sorry.
I have so many people to thank.
Of course, Universal and HBO
and my reps who are the best
in the business and my children
who are my anchor for us.
I have Chris and Conner.
But this one I'm dedicating to Lucia
Aello, Jen Sackie, and Paul W.
Downs.
It all begins and ends with them.
I love you guys so much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you all so much.
What a ride, this event.
Coming up next, David
Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle
Gellar celebrate 30 years
of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
And Alan Cumming and Emmy Rossum present
supporting actress in a drama series.
I don't think I've lived a day without
thinking about my weight.
And I spent years trying to find an
answer.
I never thought that would change in my

So, when are we late for dinner?
How late?
Tomorrow.
So this is what Lois Lane feels like.
I love you, Lois.
A whole family full of cops.
Two Secret Service agents.
A U.S.

A Fed.
And now a DOJ analyst.
We're all government agents doing the

Amen.
I think my case is a double murder.

Don't you just hit?
She was looking behind her.
I think a third party shot them both.
Come on.
This is why I don't work with family.
The assassin is still out there.
We have to find him.
Gotcha.
Nothing like a little murder.
To bring a family together.
Time of Fire, next Monday on NBC and
Peacock.
Welcome back.
This year, so many of our favorite shows
are reaching milestone anniversaries.
The Muppet Show is turning 50, which means
that it is now a finely aged prosciutto.
You want to keep feeling old?
If you watched Hannah
Montana, it's now time to talk
to your doctor about scheduling
a Hannah mammogramma.
Also, Stranger Things just wrapped up
after 10 years.
10 full years.
And look at how the kids have grown up
now.
They grow up so fast.
We're also celebrating 30 years since the
debut of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The show... that taught us that
high school really is a portal to hell.
Please welcome the stars of Buffy, David
Boreanaz and Emmy
winner Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Hard to believe it's been 30 years since
Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered.
Yes, for those of you keeping track at
home, I had just turned two.
I mean, when you think about it,
it is, you know, kind of crazy, right?
A teenage girl chosen by fate to fight
vampires, demons, the forces of evil.
Darkness.
And then she falls in love with a vampire
with a soul.
Carrying around a couple hundred years of
regret.
A much, much older vampire with a soul and
agonizing remorse about his past.
For those of you who don't know,
his character was 241 years old.
So, a May-December romance?
More like a May-December 1787 romance.
You know, Sarah, I always thought that
Buffy and Angel would end up together.
Well, I guess we won't find out.
So, before we move on to the award...
Thank you.
David and I...
David and I would like
to acknowledge that it has
been a tough two years for
our beloved cast and crew.
And we feel very lucky to have known and
worked with such amazing people.
Indeed.
And now, here are the nominees for Lead
Actor in a Limited
Anthology Series or Movie.
Riz Ahmed, Bait.
Jason Bateman, Black.
Charlie Hunnam, Monster, The Ed Gein
Story.
Oscar Isaac, Beast.
Matthew Rhys, The Beast in Me.
And the Emmy goes to...
Matthew Rhys, The Beast in Me.
This is the second Emmy win and eighth
nomination for Matthew Rhys.
This year, he earned the
rare fees of Lead Actor
nominations in both
comedy and limited series.
And he is the first ever Ladies and
Gentleman Award recipient.
Oh, good grief.
If you try and taunt me, I'll stab you in
the eyes with this.
This is a real shock because.
Not least because the caliber and company
of the actors in this category...
We had a beautiful holy trinity of scribes
in the glorious form of Daniel Pearl,
Gabe Rotter, and the
inimitable Howard Gordon
who really brought
out the beast in all of us.
We were guided so
beautifully by our actors for
the past couple of years
and I do need to say that.
Antonio Campos was
certainly led ferociously,
fiercely, fervently by the
incredible Claire Danes.
Thank you for letting me join the Mystery
Machine and bringing out the Beast.
You are an intimidating scene partner but
I'm very grateful for for all this.
To all the reps and Cole,
Ginny, Netflix, all you
do, all you continue to
do, thank you so much.
Real, real, thank you.
Please welcome Golden Globe nominee Emmy
Rossum and five-time
Emmy winner Alan Cumming.
The great philosopher and
spiritual teacher Buddha once
said we are born alone, we
live alone, and we die alone.
Wow, that's dark.
It's very depressing.
It's an award show.
But there is good news.
We may be born alone and live alone and
die alone but we don't act alone.
That's true and that is why
we are honored to present the
Emmy for Outstanding Supporting
Actress in a Drama Series.
The men and women
who are nominated for this
award were fantastic
in their performances.
And spectacular at fully supporting and
giving their fellow actors a brief respite
from the hellish loneliness we all must
endure until we die alone.
And God bless them all.
Here are the nominees.
Taylor Dearden, The Pit.
Fiona Durek, The Pit.
Allison Janney, The Diplomat.
Catherine Lanassa, The Pit.
Sephida Muawfi, The Pit.
Julianne Nicholson, Paradise.
Carolina Ouidra.
And the Emmy goes to Allison Janney for
The Diplomat.
This is the eighth Emmy win and sixteenth
nomination for Allison Janney.
She took home her first
Emmy for Supporting
Actress in a Drama
Series for The West Wing.
I have to tell you this was not what I
planned for.
Because I was concerned that For this
category at all.
And I'm very, I'm very surprised and very,
very grateful to be here and I thank all
the members of the Television Academy and
of course I have to thank Deborah Kahn,
who is our show writer, showrunner,
who writes scripts and dialogue that
actors cannot wait to chew up and spit out
and it's so much fun, and Alex Grace,
our director, who I adore, and Janice
Williams, and the coolest woman on the
planet, Keri Russell, who leads us all
everyday.
She is... and Rufus, the entire cast is
just divine and I am so grateful and so
lucky and I thank you very much from the
bottom of my heart.
Thank you.
Coming up at the Peacock Theatre in
downtown Los Angeles, Florence Pugh and
Julia Gardner present the award for Lead
Actress in a Drama.
Brought to you by Icotide.
Great news.
I'm prescribing you Icotide, a new kind of

Just one pill, once a day?
You're unbelievable.
That's unbelievable.
Unbelievable, right?
I meant... The results?
Icotide provides powerful
skin clearance and I've
seen my patients achieve
completely clear skin.
It also has a proven safety
profile with Icotide patients
reporting side effects at
rates similar to placebo.
Do you see the...
Oh, patient brochures.
Do you want one?

So, Margo may have money troubles.
But Mariska's doing just fine.
Our next category is Outstanding Actress
in a Drama Series.
I took home this award 20 years ago for
playing America's sweetheart sex cop,
Olivia Benson.
And since then, I have won a number of
Emmys for acting.
And that number is zero.
And now to present the award, two
extraordinarily talented women.
Three-time Emmy winner, Julia Garner and
Oscar nominee, Florence Pugh.
We are honored to present the Emmy for
Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Over the decades, acclaimed actresses such
as Barbara Stanwyck, Angie Dickinson,
Tyne Daly, Glenn Close,
Edie Falco, Allison Janney,
and Viola Davis have all
taken home the Emmy.
In this category...
Tonight's nominees continue the legacy of
outstanding performances
in leading dramatic roles.
The nominees are... Carrie
Coon, The Gilded Age.
Chase Infinity, The Testaments.
Keri Russell, The Diplomat.
Ray Sehorne, Pluribus.
Zendaya, Euphoria.
And the Emmy goes to...
Ray Sehorne.
This is the first Emmy win and fourth
nomination for Ray Sehorne.
She was previously nominated twice for her
supporting role in Better Call Saul.
Hi, Gray and McClain.
Those are my sons.
Gosh, sorry.
Sorry, this is me on a beta blocker.
It's pretty bad.
I just... Well, thank you to the
Television Academy so much.
And all the members that voted.
And I also just want to say
congratulations.
And thank you for the performances to my
fellow nominees in my category.
All brilliant, brilliant performances.
Keri Russell among them, who sent us a
lovely gift and a card.
Quoting... Sadly, we didn't know
that we would lose her so soon.
But quoting Gloria Steinem, saying...
We are linked, not ranked.
And I feel that way about all you women.
So thank you for that.
Thank you, Vince Gilligan.
They're telling me to wrap it up,
but no.
Thank you, Vince Gilligan, for giving me
not only the role of a lifetime,
but for creating sets where we all get to
collaborate.
And we are actually made to feel safe to
take risks so that we
get better as artists.
Thank you to my whole crew, my producers,
my writers, the incredible background
artists that work on the show,

Come on, come on.
And my pirate lady, Carolina Widra.
And thank you to my beautiful family,
my friends, all supportive, and the loves
of my life, Graham Larson, McClain,
and Gray.
Thank you.

What's in your wallet?
Hello?
Okay, okay, I'm almost there.
I mean, look at the difference in your
hair.
Yeah, but you know what's funny?
I felt different way earlier than this.
I had the baby.
My hair was thinning for the first time.
And I was really struggling.
Then there was this moment when I didn't
recognize myself.
So I did something about it.
That's the moment I became an after with
Nutraful.
We need to brace ourselves for what's to
come.
Some people will have you believe AI will
make us less connected.
That it's gonna leave us behind.
We couldn't disagree more.
Call us optimists.
Call us dreamers.
Just as we've always done, we're betting
on people.
We bet on people when we connected you to
the ones you lost touch with.
And again when we connected you to the
ones you couldn't be near.
22 years and 3.5 billion people later,
we're doubling down.
Because while technology will change,
our intention behind it never will.
Call us optimists.
Call us dreamers.
Call us whatever the hell you want.
But we're betting on people.
And we like those odds.

AGT Live.
Tomorrow on NBC and Peacock.
Tonight we are celebrating some of the
biggest names in television.
But it's important to remember that they
weren't always stars.
In fact, my first job was working at a
bookstore here in L.A.
called Book Soup.
Coleman Domingo!
Hello!
What was your first job?
Oh, I worked at the Fry's station at
McDonald's.
Quinta Brunson, what was your first job?
Oh, I was a student dance school teacher.
Amazing!
Amazing!
Nick Offerman, how about you?
What was your first job?
Erotic painter.
Huh.
Interesting.
Like you painted men or you painted women?
Houses.
Okay.
No kidding.
Wow, okay.
Well, Raya Sehorne, what was your first
job?
Hostess, T.J.
I'm sorry, can we go back to Nick
Offerman's answer for a second?
Okay, so Nick, so you were an erotic
painter and you painted houses?
Yeah, that's right.
Okay.
How was that erotic?
I was in the nude.
So you were naked painting houses?
No, I was in the nude.
Uh, I don't see why this is so hard to
understand.
It was kind of a standard gig.
I would strip down and dump
a can of paint over my head and
then roll my nude male body
around the house's exterior.
The whole house?
You know, doors and trim were extra.
Roofs were not pleasant, but a buck is a
buck.
I'm sorry, Nick.
That doesn't sound erotic to me.
Oh, it wasn't supposed to be erotic for
you.
It was erotic for the house.
Moving on!
Here to present Supporting
Actor in a Comedy Series,
please welcome five-time
Emmy nominee Sofia Vergara.
Good evening.
They might call them
supporting, but there is
nothing secondary
about these performances.
These guys know how to steal a scene, and
occasionally they steal the whole show.
Being the second banana could come with a
gold statue for one of them.
Here are the nominees for Supporting Actor

for his role in Bury.
Holy cow, The Money Store.
Um...
I'm thrilled and delighted, but the reason
I'm up here is Katie Dippold.
Katie Dippold.
And Katie Dippold and the brilliant hero,
Mirai, who shoved us through all these
amazing shows, but I have to say it is
Matthew Rhys and the brilliant Cato Flynn
and the comic stylings of these two are
the best thing in the 21st century.
I was so happy to be included in this
incredible journey that we had today.
Thank you all the nominees.
You are all unbelievable.
I'm a huge fan.
Thank you, Harrison Ford.
Because my son because my
son came up to me running up

category with Harrison Ford!
Thank you, sir, for all your many years of
great, great, great, great acting.

We are so thrilled that we're being
represented by so many people.
Thank you so, so much!
Coming up, the cast of the new Baywatch.
Then, John Mulaney takes the stage.

Angels.
We need to draw a line.
Because somebody has to.

We are the cast of the new
Baywatch, and we are proud to
say it's shot right here on
the beaches of Los Angeles.
Yes, Baywatch is back.
And yes, there are red bathing suits.
But there are also big rescues and real
danger.
And very complicated relationships.
It's action-packed, sexy, and saltier than
ever.
So basically, it's Baywatch.
But with more action.
And less fabric.
And some things you just don't mess with.
And Baywatch is going big, premiering on
broadcasting and streaming the next day.
And now, here are the nominees for Reality
Competition Program.
Dancing with the Stars.
RuPaul's Drag Race.
Survivor.
Top Chef.
The Traitors.
And the Emmy goes to...
The Traitors.
The Traitors does it again.
After sweeping all five
nominations last year,
the show has now swept all six this year.
This marks the third consecutive win for
Reality Competition Program.
Thanks so much.
I speak on behalf of all our
producers who are running to
the stage as though they're
on a mission of The Traitors.
Now they know what it feels like.
Thank you to the Academy so much.

All right.
What a wonderful Emmy weekend this is.
It's these couple days
where you find out just
how much you mean to
your billion-dollar streamer.
We love you.
We want you to know how important you are
to this storytelling family.
Can I get a plus one?
You get out of here.
This is the best part of the night.
Lead actor in a drama.
This award is for the guys.
Just men being men.
Finally something for the fellas.
And what a, what a crop of prom kings we
have.
They're not soft like the dad on Bluey.
No.
Guy's a joke.
Since the creation of television,
men have been historically unrepresented.
For the first three years TV existed,
there were no men on it.
It was just beauty contests and children
talking to hand puppets
until the early 60s.
Until a man walked out and said enough.
My name is Fonzie and the president's been
shot.
But, let's talk about these bros tonight.
These sweat hogs.
Some of the men in this category do method
acting.
And some do regular, less annoying acting.
But no matter what, when these fellas hit
their mark, they know all their lines.
Why?
Because they started looking at their
sides earlier that morning.
These men excuse me, these men give it all
in every single take.
Unless the coverage is
on the other actor and
then they might bounce
early, but that's okay.
And they can play anything, these
nominees.
Not just doctors.
They can play a cop or an FBI agent or a
secret agent and then that's it.
No other examples.
I believe it was DJ Khaled who said,
real men don't go d.
But these nominees know that that is B.S.
They know there's often less pressure on
them if they do that first.
You know, I was shooting down Barham last
night at 90 miles an hour and I I was
reminded of something I read in actor
Frank Vincent's 2006 book.
A guy's guide to being a man.
And I do want to note this copy is from
the Glendale Public Library.
If you don't mind, I'd like
to read a passage from the
book right now and then
in a minute we'll get to this.
Let me see here.
Okay.
And I'm reading now.
A man's man can be wearing the best
clothes, drinking the finest wine,
sitting with the most beautiful woman in
Las Vegas, but if he doesn't treat
everyone around him with respect and
class, he's not a real man's man.
He's just a jabroni in a good suit.
And the nominees for lead actor in a drama
are
Joel, The Diplomat, Noah Wiley,
The Pit.
And the Emmy goes to Noah Wiley for The
Pit.
This is the third Emmy win and tenth
nomination for Noah Wiley.
He is a triple nominee this year for
acting, directing, and producing The Pit.
This is overwhelming.
And I just I have to acknowledge the work
of my fellow nominees.
Your work is inspirational.
I watch you.
I learn from you.
In particular, Mr. Oldman, I have to tell
you.
I don't know if there's an actor my age
that didn't look and prick up your ears
and sit in Nancy and
think that's the benchmark
that I want to hit one day in my career.
I'm so grateful to everybody that I work
with.
Everybody at HBO.
Casey and Sarah and Joey and all of our
partners at Warner Television.
Channing and Clancy.
To all the men and women who work so hard
on stage 22 each and every day.
We're going to be back there hitting it
hard tomorrow morning.
Really early.
Doing some hard stuff.
I grew up in LA.
I'm a Hollywood kid.
I was raised on a television.
And movie theaters were my place of
worship.
This is all I've ever wanted to do.
And this is the only club I've ever wanted
to join.
Thank you for accepting me.
Up next, Rachel Sennett and Odessa Isaiah.
Then later, Michael J.
Fox receives the Humanitarian Award.
And Reba McEntire pays tribute to Dolly
Parton.
Brought to you by Allstate.
You're in good hands.
I'm a 200 year old elm.

outside, on the inside, I'm dead.

Switch to Allstate, and you could save

Lock in.
We are thrilled to be presenting
the award for supporting actor
in a drama because we are
major supporters of actor drama.
Yes.
We're major, major supporters of actor
drama.
We're huge supporters.
We love it.
Truly.
I mean, any type of actor drama we love.
It's two macho straight guys
sitting in hair and makeup

yelling at each other on set.
It's the dream.
Delish.
I love it.
Oh my god, yes.

because one of them
looks taller on camera.
Heaven.
Heaven.
I mean, come on.
That's obviously the real drama.
We all live for it.
We live for it.
And we live for these fabulous nominees.
Garen Howell, The Pit.
Jack Loudon, Slow Horses.
Tom Pelfrey, TAS.
Carlos Manuel Vesca, Pluribus.
Oh my god, it's me?
Okay.
And the Emmy goes to Tom Pelfrey!
This is the first Emmy win and second
nomination for Tom Pelfrey.
His first nomination came in 2022 for his
role as Ben Davis on Ozark.
Wow.
This is incredible.
Thank you.
Um, I thank God for my life and my
sobriety.
I thank my family and my friends for all
your love and support all these years from
Emmys to, you know, black box theaters and
everything in between.
Thank you to HBO, Casey and Franny.
Thank you to Mark Roybal.
And Whip.
Thank you to Jeremiah and Sally,
our directors, our cast.
Especially Raul, Amelia, and my friend the
beautiful Mark Ruffalo.
Thank you to Brad
Inglesby for this incredible
role and this opportunity
and your friendship.
You are an amazing human being.
I'm so proud to be your friend.
And to my favorite actor in this room.
My love, my best friend, my partner.
The very pregnant Kaley Cuoco.
I love you more than anything in our
family is the crown jewel of my life.
Matilda, daddy loves you.
Baby girl in that belly.
Daddy loves you.
Thank you.
God bless.
All right, team.
Listen up.
The Emmys are tonight and
the mayor's office is breathing
down my neck demanding
an answer to the big question.
Will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?
Now, in order to crack a Swifty case,
you gotta think like a Swifty.
Because the Swifties think that everything
is a clue to what she'll do next.
Now... Okay, a crime board.
Now we're talking.
So let's start with the Emmy nominations.
Abbott Elementary nominated for seven
Emmys.
Season six premieres this year.
Seven and six add them up, people.
Taylor's lucky number, 13.
And there are 13 nominations for DTF St.
Louis.
St. Louis, Missouri.
Also in Missouri.
Kansas City.
And who plays football for Kansas City?
Travis Kelsey.
That's the guy she married.
What color is his jersey?
Red.
Like her album.
Red.
Like blood.
DNA sample cap.
And?
Contaminated.
Great.
Now we got bad blood.
Good blood.
Blood relative.
Like the contestants on The Amazing Race.
The Amazing Matthew Rhys.
Widows Bay.
Sea Hag.
See?
Look.
What you made me do.
Off the album Reputation.
Uh...
Genetic mutation.
Pluribus.
A real mind bender.
Hannah Einbinder.
Hacks.
Ah, that hacks finale.
I cried like a baby.
Griff, go check traffic cams.
For what?
Don't worry about it.
Just go check them.
Okay, you got it.
Alright.
To what I was saying.
Hacks.
Vegas.
Life of a showgirl.
You know who else is a girl on a show?
Barbara Corcoran.
Stick a fork in.
An empanada.
Wow.
Guys, I think we all know where this is
heading.
Diners, drive-ins, and dives.
Okay, guys, we are in a real rabbit hole.
That's right, it's a hole.
It's a whole nother crime board.
Diners, drive-ins, dives.
Drive-in.
The getaway car.
FBI.
SNL.
Am I from New York?
Welcome to New York.
It's been waiting for you.
I think we got a case here.
Hey, guys.
This isn't adding up.
And who asked you, rookie?
Our perp has a clear M.O.
A lot of this doesn't fit the pattern.
And I don't think everything is a clue.
It is to the Swifties.
I think what we're going to be looking for
is hiding in plain sight.
Saccharide.
Aries.
From the vineyard.
North or south.
What did you just say?
I didn't say anything.
I checked the traffic.
Sweetheart, we're way past that.
But you know who does use cams?
The camera crew.
From the pit.
Right?
Captain, if I may.
Yes, these are all Emmy-nominated shows.
Yes, the Aries tour got five nominations.
Good for her.
Those categories were last week.
Why would she be showing up to the
ceremony tonight?
She's probably going to
be sitting at home playing
with those cats she's named
after TV show characters.
Exactly.
And her cat is named Olivia Benson.
Wait.
I'm Olivia Benson.
And I'm going to be at the Emmys.
Last week, the mayor's office asked me to
do security tonight.
Hold on, guys.
Last week, tonight, John Oliver,
he's British like those damn slow horses.
Fast Broncos, Denver Broncos.
Broncos are playing the Chiefs.
Guys, the answer has been TV this whole
time.
Because they have a game right now.
Okay, so she's not going to be there,
right?
Because her husband's got a work thing.
Bingo!
Well, that case is solved.
Taylor Swift will not be at the Emmys.
She's not there.
I'm not watching.
She's going to do one of those cool
pre-taped sketch things to support the host.
Do you think she'll sing?
No.
Oh, wow.
Isn't it cool when it does that?
Mm-hmm.
It's actually my ringtone.
Just ahead, Jon Hamm
and Amanda Peete present
the Emmy for Lead
Actor in a Comedy Series.
Then later, a performance by Noah Kahn.
And this December, NBC is celebrating its
100th anniversary.
Brought to you by Capital One.
What's in your wallet?
Hey!
Capital One bank guy.
Oh, my favorite regulars.
What can I help you with?
Well, we heard a report about checking
accounts with no fees.
That's true.
Capital One checking accounts have no fees
or minimums.
So what's the catch?
There isn't one.
Are you trying to tell us there's no
catch?
Nope.
Just a really great checking account.
Story checks out.
Okay.
You're free to go.
But I live here.
Wow.
I love what you've done with the place.
What's in your wallet?
It's nice.
Super nice.

Take a strong position and don't apologize
for it.
People on Zondeo lost up to 25 pounds.
If diet and exercise alone haven't been
enough, it's not always

Don't take Zondeo if you're allergic to

Or if you or someone in your family had

right away if you have an

Or severe stomach pain.
Serious side effects may include inflamed

Tell your doctor if you experience vision
changes, if you're nursing, pregnant,
planned to be or taking birth control
pills.
And before scheduled procedures with
anesthesia.
Taking Zondeo with an insulin or
sulfonylurea may cause low blood sugar.
Side effects include diarrhea,
nausea and vomiting which
can cause dehydration and
may cause kidney problems.
Never be too polite to talk about Zondeo
with your doctor.
That's a house rule.

There are a lot of big
stars here tonight who
have made the leap
from movies to television.
Well, I'll have you also know that I
started in film as well.
I actually starred in a little movie
called Ghoulies.
And yes, it's a horror movie.
Where a monster pops out of a toilet.
Let's take a look.
Ghoulies.
They'll get you in the end.
Right?
I mean, come on.
Jamie Lee Curtis is not the only scream
queen around here.
Unfortunately though, I didn't make the
cut for Ghoulies 2.
Or Ghoulies 3.
Ghoulies go to college.
And don't even get me started on Ghoulies
And that's why.
That's why I turned to television.
Here to present Outstanding Director for a
Drama Series, please welcome three-time
Emmy nominee Peter Krause and Emmy winner
Shailene Woodley.
Peter and I have both had
the great privilege and good
fortune as actors to work
with some brilliant directors.
So we understand and appreciate how vital
their role is in any production.
They don't just direct us.
They deeply inspire us.
And they help us bring the words from the
page to life.
It is their creative vision that
ultimately ends up on the screen.
Nominees tonight continue a long legacy of
outstanding directors for a drama series.
And we are honored to present their award.

or live performances.
Different styles, different
backgrounds, different
points of view, different tall white men.
All with one goal in mind, to entertain
us.
Our Variety Series nominees all find
comedy within the chaos of modern life.
But even more important, they
speak truth to power, shining
the spotlight on the political
issues that affect us all.
Here are the nominees.
The Daily Show.
Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Saturday Night Live.
And the Emmy goes to...
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Late Show with
Stephen Colbert received nine
nominations this year
and a total overall of 41.
This is their sixth Emmy win this year.
Accepting the Emmy on behalf of the team
is Stephen Colbert.
I just want to point
out that if you liked the
comedy tonight, my old
writers wrote it tonight.
Ariel Dumas, my head writer, is the head
writer of tonight's Emmys.
Thank you so much on behalf of the over
200 people who threw themselves at this
show for 11 years to try to do the best
show they possibly could for you.
The thing about these late shows is that
besides being a really good, steady job,
is that they require so many people that
they're a fantastic incubator for young
people to come in, to
learn to work professionally
on a deadline, in
cooperation, in collaboration.
And that is the future of our business
that we have to look after.
I want you to know I got some great news.
They are all tech avail.
Hire them.
They will make your show better and they
will make your day easier.
I want to thank so many people in this
room.
Over the last 21 years, I've interviewed
at least a thousand of you.
Thank you for coming on to talk to this
idiot.
I want you to know that you were the
perfect guest.
This segment went great and I'm sorry I
forgot to play your clip.
But of course, there can only be one favorite
guest and that is my wife, Evy McGee.
Thank you, darling.
Thank you for being my only crew and my
only guest during COVID.
My only audience and the only audience I
really care about.
Yours is the laugh that I want for the
rest of my life.
I love you.
And I want to say to the audience,
thank you so much for watching.
We hope you enjoyed the show.
We had a great time doing it for you.
That's it.
Thank you.
We'll catch you all on the flip.
Coming up at the Peacock Theatre in
downtown L.A., Marcelo Hernandez.
Plus, Michael J.
Fox receives the Bob Hope Humanitarian
Award.
And Sally Field and the Emmys pay tribute
to Dolly Parton.
Welcome, everybody.
All eyes are gonna be on you.
Wow.
It's time.
Hit it.
We got a real chance to do something here.
From the dope game to the rap game.
Music brought me back to life.

We are all hormonal.

brew together.
Something wicked this way comes.
Oh, I'm ready.
I'm unstoppable, baby.
Why don't you join our soiree?
Just gotta paint myself.
Nice.
Hi.
I'm you.
With more gusto.
My hair's growing back.
Team's digging a new flaw.
It's just me.
Correction.
Team of seven.
We're growing, Mikey.
Get payroll that grows with you.
It's beautiful.
Great news.
I'm prescribing you Iketide.
A new kind of treatment for moderate to
severe plaque psoriasis.
Just one pill?
Once a day?
You're unbelievable.
That's unbelievable.
Unbelievable, right?
I meant... The results?
Iketide provides powerful skin clearance.
And I've seen my patients achieve
completely clear skin.
It also has a proven safety
profile with Iketide patients
reporting side effects at
rates similar to placebo.
Do you see the...
Oh, patient brochures.
Do you want one?
Increased risk of infections or lower
ability to fight them may occur.
Before treatment, your doctor
may check you for infections,
TB, if you need a vaccine,
or have kidney problems.
Iketide.
Ask your doctor if it's right for you.
You're unbelievable.
Anything could happen.

Hello, hello everybody.
.
Hi.
Hello.
It's an honor for me to be here.
It's my first time... at the Emmys.
And I get to present.
So I just want to take this
opportunity to say hi to
a few people I might not
be able to say hi to later.
I don't know what parties I've been
invited to.
And I don't know what parties you have
been invited to.
So just very quickly, I would like to say
hello to Harrison Ford.
.
Hello.
Hi.
You are a legend, man, and a real
inspiration to me.
And I would like to invite you to have
dinner at my house.
.
Yes.
No pressure.
.
I want to say hi to Zendaya.
.
Hi.
You're a beast.
And you're amazing.
And I saw you.
And I wanted to play it cool.
And I've decided I can do that.
.
So I would like to invite you and
Spider-Man to have dinner at my house.
.
Yes.
What's up, man?
I would also like to say hello to Oscar
Isaac.
Oscar, you are so good in beef,
man.
And you are also Hernandez, like I am.
So we could be cousins.
You never know.
.
And I will see you at Christmas.
I will cook you whatever you want.
.
And lastly, I want to say hello to Matthew
McConaughey.
When I was younger, my Tia Michichi,
my Cuban Tia Michichi, she said,
Marcelo, if you're
working very hard, one day
you can hang out with Matthew McConaughey.
.
And I'm basically doing it, Tia Michichi.
So that is my little spiel.
And now, more importantly, an award for
the people that are so crucial in the
telling of the stories that we all know
and love.
Here are the nominees for director for a
comedy series.
.
Randall Einhorn, Abbott Elementary.
Christopher Storer, The Bear.
Andrew DeYoung, The Chair Company.
Lucia Agnello, Hacks.
Mary Lou Belli, The Miss Pat Show.
Hiro Murai, Widows Bay.
.
Okay.
I get to say this.
And the Emmy goes to Hiro Murai,
Widows Bay.
.
This is the second Emmy win
and tenth nomination for Hiro
Murai, who has two nominations
this year for Widows Bay.
For directing and for producing.
His first Emmy was for producing The Bear,
making this his first directing win.
.
This is so scary up here.
You know, I always say my job isn't to
make the show.
It's just to let the right people in the
room.
And we just had the
most beautiful, kindest,
most gifted people in
our room on the show.
I'd like to thank Matthew, Kate,
Steven, our entire cast, crew, post team.
Some people, you know, I've been doing
this with from the very beginning.
Katie Dippel, thank you for being
brilliant and letting me ride shotgun.
And I'm so proud of everything we did.
And most of all, I just want to thank my
family and my partner, Emma.
I love you.
Thank you.
.
Please welcome three-time Emmy winner,
Juliana Margulies.
.
Tonight, a celebration.
.
An opportunity to recognize
members of our community for
their artistic achievements
of the past television year.
But, tonight we also want to single out an
extraordinary individual whose
contributions go far beyond his television
credits.
A man whose deeds and actions has had a
lasting impact on society.
A dear, dear friend of mine, who I had the
pleasure of working with on The Good Wife.
Michael J.
Fox.
The honor that Michael is receiving
tonight, the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award,
was created in 2002 by the Television
Academy as a way to honor those artists
whose philanthropy exemplifies Bob Hope's
altruism.
This year marks only the sixth time it has
been bestowed.
.
.
A proud son of Canada, he has become one
of the biggest stars in the world.
.
I'm hip.
I'm cool.
I'm a happening fool.
.
Winning Emmys for his role in Family Ties,
Spin City and Rescue Me.
.
Appearing in acclaimed series like
Shrinking and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
.
Oh, thanks.
.
Oh, Jesus Christ!
Did you shake that off on purpose?

On screen, he has brought us joy.
And with his foundation, he has given hope
to millions around the world.
On behalf of the Television
Academy, we are honored to
present the 2026 Bob Hope
Humanitarian Award to Michael J.
Fox.
First of all, thank you so much,
Juliana.
You are so kind.
You are such a great acting partner.
I had a great time on
that show, and I'm glad I
don't have to bring in
legalese every end of my life.
It's hard to remember those words.
I'm going to keep going.
Oh, yeah, and we're friends.
And our friendship.
Thank you to everyone involved with the
Television Academy for this amazing,
humbling honor.
First, a few words about Bob Hope.
My parents were born during the Great
Depression.
Came of age during World War II.
To them, Bob was more than an entertainer.
He was a selfless champion of soldiers and
military families like mine for decades.
Christmases, Thanksgivings, and New
Year's.
Other holidays where he could have been
celebrating with his family.
He was showing up to the troops in Berlin,
Saigon, the Middle East with a turkey leg
and a golf club and maybe a lucky
Lollapalooza.
He embodied everything I came to believe
in years later.
I learned from his example.
When it starts to get tough, you show up.
You help.
And if you can add a little joy while
you're doing it, that's even better.
I couldn't have known how these lessons
would resonate in my own life.
So in my late thirties,
my late twenties... my
life handed me a role
that I was looking for.
Initially I kept my Parkinson's Diagnosis
a secret.
I worried that it would affect my work and
my relationships with audiences.
Would they laugh if they knew I was sick?
And then I was stunned by the support I
got.
I want to support from all of you.
Who are so uplifting and just...just just
made me feel like I could keep doing this.
I hadn't lost, but I do.
you couldn't take it away from me.
And it's because you stood up for me.
And I appreciate it.
Eventually I understood that accepting
Parkinson's didn't mean
I had to surrender to it.
It just meant doing what I could for
everyone living with this disease.
So I set out to advocate for patients'
needs and raise money.
And to propel us towards a cure.
I found brilliant people
to lead the effort for me
and vowed to fund the
best science in the world.
I'm proud of the progress we've made to
benefit Parkinson's patients and families.
We move closer to eradicating this disease
forever.
I'm deeply grateful to our staff,
donors, researchers, and most of all the
patient community who make our work at the
Michael J.
Fox Foundation possible.
Just a shout out to Debbie Brooks who's
over there with my family.
My co-founder and our longtime partner is
Sergey Brindis.
Sergey Brindis.
The family foundation.
With three billion dollars in research.
You had to know there was a billion in
there.
A billion in there somewhere.
Sergey.
And now the part where I thank Tracy and
our kids.
Quina, Edvay, Skyler, and Sam.
For their sacrifices, for their patience,
and for their love.
You have no idea.
And of course my mom and dad and my
sisters and brother in Canada.
Army Brats and Bob Hope fans.
And thank you Bob.
We're Loafwana.
Just show me how it's done.
Thank you.
Coming up, Linda Cardellini and David
Harbour.
Plus, Sally Field and Reba McIntyre lead
the tribute to the great Dolly Parton.
Andy Seymour was fast as fun.
But I'm here to show that slow can be good
too.
Especially when it comes to a progressive
disease like chronic kidney disease.
So while I don't have CKD myself,
I'm taking it slow.
To remind you that Jordans is a little
pill.
Proven to slow the progression of CKD.
Which can lead to dialysis.
And it lowers the risk of cardiovascular
death too.
Serious side effects include increased
ketones in blood or urine.
And infection in the area between and
around the anus and genitals.
Called the perineum.
Both may be fatal.
Severe allergic reactions, dehydration,
urinary tract or genital yeast infections.
In men and women.
And low blood sugar.
Stop taking and tell your doctor right
away.
If you have nausea, vomiting, stomach
pain, tiredness.
Rash, swelling, trouble breathing or
swallowing.
Tell your doctor about
lightheadedness, weakness, fever,
pain, tenderness, redness
or swelling in the perineum.
You may have increased risk for lower limb
loss.
Call your doctor right away if you have
new pain or tenderness.
Sores, ulcers or infection in your legs or
feet.
When it comes to your CKD, embrace the
slow.
Ask your doctor about Jordans.
Coming in hot.
It's live training.
You got to stand your toes.
Morning, Eli.
Hello, Lebron.
It's all live training, people.

Let's get to it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Well, baby.
Let's get to it.

But now I'm ready for the moment with
clearer skin.
Thanks to Sky Rizzi.

head to toe.
And many were 100% plaque free.
Serious allergic reactions.
Increased infections.
Or lower ability to fight that may occur.
Before treatment, get checked for
infections and TB.
Tell your doctor about any flu-like

Please welcome this year's Emmy winners
for supporting actor and actress in a
limited or anthology series or movie,
David Harbour and Linda Cardellini.
Wow.
Linda, did you hear that?
They called us Emmy winners.
Wow.
Congratulations, David.
Congratulations to you.
We are the freaks that Amy Poehler warned
you about.
Wow.
We also want to give a shout out to our
brilliant DTF leader Steve Conrad,
who won two Emmys last week for writing
and directing our limited series.
We love you.
We are so lucky to play
chaotic and complex characters
that can live on with audiences
long after a season ends.
When the gift of dialogue and stories that
create impossible worlds collide,
the result is priceless.
Whether it's a hostile desert or a
high-stress ER room or a psychological
crisis, it's all In this psychological
interrogation, these writers push the
limits and boundaries all in under an
hour.
Here are the nominees for writing in a
drama series.
Peter Ackerman and Deborah Kahn,
The Diplomat.
Kirsten Pierre Gaifman and R.
Scott Gemmell, The Pit.
Valerie Chu, The Pit.
Vince Gilligan, Pluribus.
Will Smith, Slow Horses.
Brad Inglesby, Task.
And the Emmy goes to...
Vince Gilligan, Pluribus.
This is the fifth Emmy win and 26th
nomination for Vince Gilligan.
In the past, he won two Emmys for writing
and two for producing Breaking Bad.
Very excited.
I have an overwhelming number of people to
thank.
So I'm going to skip that.
But I do want to say I
wouldn't have minded losing to
Valerie Chu, who used to
be our writer's... Where's Val?
Used to be our writer's assistant on
Better Call Saul.
Val, you're awesome.
Thank you for buying me a drink tonight.
I've got a big career ahead of you.
Pluribus.
It's so weird.
A world in which everybody gets along.
It's so sci-fi.
But think about it.
There is nothing weirder than our current
reality.
These past ten years, you can't write this
stuff.
I submit to you that a real
world in which people get
along is just as believable
as what we've got now.
And achievable.
We will never agree on everything,
but we can show respect to one another,
maybe even kindness.
And we can stop listening to
a relative few who tell us that
that is for suckers and who
get their power from dividing us.
My two cents.
And I do want to thank you.
I want to thank Apple TV, Sony Pictures
Television, and the
magnificent Ray Sehorne.
Thank you.
On August 25th, we lost a piece of
America's heart.
Dolly Parton.
Please join me in welcoming her co-star
and treasured friend, Sally Field.
If there are truly angels on Earth,
then we just lost one.
Dolly Parton.
It was my great good fortune to have
worked with Dolly called Still Magnolias.
And over the years, I never stopped loving
her, though we lived very far apart.
I adored her from day one, how could you
not?
She was genuine and humble, supportive,
and blisteringly funny.
With a bawdy sense of
humor that would send
any rude guy looking for a place to hide.
I couldn't see then what a real giant
Dolly was.
Not just as an artist, but as a human.
She was a humanitarian whose contributions
had made a profound difference in the
lives of so many in her home state of
Tennessee and across our country.
God bless you, Dolly Parton, my friend.
I am not the only one on Earth that will
love you forever and ever.
I'm very, very proud of the fact that I
had the kind of parents that I did and
grew up in the Smoky Mountains,
the Appalachian Mountains.
And I have written a song that touches me
very deep, and I'm sure that in your own
way that you certainly will relate to
this.
This song, like I say, is very important
to me, and I hope you like it.
And if you don't like it,
well, if you don't mind,
I would rather not
hear about it later, okay?
It's a song that I call, Appalachian
Memories.
Please welcome three-time Grammy winner,
Reba McEntire.
Reba McEntire Reba McEntire When we go
north, somebody told us Cause the air is
filled with gold dust And fortune falls
like snowflakes in your hands Now I don't
recall who said it But we'd lived so long
on credit So we headed out to find our
promised land Just bore Appalachian farm
folk With nothing more than high hopes So
we hitched our station wagon to a star But
our dreams all fell in on us Cause there
was no land of promise And it's a struggle
Keep in sight of who you are, and oh these
northern nights are dreary, and my
southern heart is weary, as I wonder how
the old folks are back
home, and I'll keep leaning
on sweet Jesus, and the
hymn of the God in me.
Appalachian memories keep me strong,
you know I've been thinking a whole lot
lately, about what's been and what awaits
me, it takes all I've got to give what
life demands, you'd go insane if you give
in to it, life's of me, and I've been
through it, so I'm just thankful,
I'm creative with my hands.
Oh and these northern nights are dreary,
and my southern eyes are teary,
oh I wonder how the old folks are back
home, but I'll keep leaning on my Jesus,
and the hymn of the God in me.
Appalachian memories keep me strong,
I'll keep looking to the Father,
keep my head above the water.
Appalachian memories keep me strong.

Your hair looks amazing, but I mean,
look how far you've come.
Yeah, but I felt a change in myself well
before anyone could see it.
I was going through the divorce.
The stress was starting to show on my

And I felt completely drained.
But there was this moment when I realized
I hadn't prioritized me.

Hi.
Catherine O'Hara.
Remember... Remember her
as the forgetful mother, right?
But we'll never forget about her.
There are all kinds of words I could use
to describe Catherine.
She was encouraging.
She was warm.
She was funny.
But the word that I think of is mama.
You know, she wasn't just a wife and
mother to Beau and Matthew and Luke.
She was my mom.
She was our mama.
And by extension, she's all of our mama.
By the way, call your mother tonight.
For real.
But, um...
Yeah, right?
Give it to moms.
But like a good mama, man.
She always showed up when I asked her to.
Because that was Catherine.
That's what she did.
She showed up.
And this is the best that we can do for
her tonight.
We're showing up for her.
So, uh, she may have forgotten me.
Twice.
But we will always remember her.
Thank you.
Catherine's laugh was a perpetual yes and.
It challenged anyone who heard it to join
in and be as delighted as she was.
And she spread that delight everywhere.
After we lost Catherine, I was passed a
note on an Air Canada flight.
That said, she was so special.
I hope you're doing okay.
On a drive up north, I was hugged by an
extremely gruff-looking
gas station attendant.
Who was also grieving her loss.
While buying wine at the LCBO, I was
treated to a very lively Catherine mashup.
Which was a woman saying, Oh David,
where's the baby?
While doing what I can
only assume was, Her, was
Catherine's exquisite
hobble from Best in Show.
These are only a very few of the
interactions I've been lucky enough to have.
That remind me how profoundly Catherine
has impacted the world.
And it's because she brought us joy.
The greatest lesson I
learned from Catherine, both
professionally and personally,
was to always say yes.
Say yes to her instincts.
All of them.
As radical as they may sometimes seem.
She is miles ahead of you.
And you will learn to catch up.
Say yes to helping her build a TV
character over the age of 60.
That wears leather mini skirts and eight
inch heels.
And speaks in a strange, sometimes
unintelligible, transatlantic accent.
And know that she will not scare an
audience away.
Say yes to that rewrite.
She emails you, sometimes the night
before.
Dear Dan, some thoughts.
It will always improve the story.
Say yes to the concept of a wig wall.
Say yes to her asking to wear a wig as a
hat.
Say yes to her naming that wig.
Say yes to giving her space to experiment
and create.
It will amaze you on a daily basis.
And it will change your life.
Say yes to her dinner invites.
And her stories.
And her wisdom.
And her generosity.
Those are the things you will hold on to
the tightest.
Always say yes to any opportunity to revel
in the presence of greatness.
Tonight, alongside Noah Khan, we honor all
of the industry
greatness we lost this year.
When you're weary.
Feeling small.
When tears are in your eyes.
I will dry them all.
I'm on your side.
When times get rough.
And friends just can't be found.
Like a bridge over troubled water.
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water.
I will lay me down.
When you're down and out.
When you're on the street.
When evening falls.
So hard.
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When times get rough, and pain is all
around, Like a bridge over troubled water,
You will lay me down, Like a bridge over
troubled water, I will lay me down,
All around, Like a bridge over
troubled water, I will lay me
down, Like a bridge over
troubled water, I will lay me down.
Please welcome Jamie Lee Curtis.
So for over a thousand episodes of
television, the great James Burroughs set
a standard of comedy
directing that will be
cherished and studied
for generations to come.
And sadly last year, we lost another
cherished legend, our beloved meathead,
Rob Reiner.
Last week, Robbie won an
Emmy for guest actor in a
comedy series for his
beautiful work on The Bear.
And he now holds the record of 48 years
for the longest gap between acting Emmys,
which was previously held by his father,
Carl Reiner, at 37 years.
He was generous and kind and funny as
hell.
And a friend to all.
And we all miss Rob and Michelle.
And all those we lost this year.

I love you, Lois.

Really good friends.
Our favorite dishes.
New connections.
A sprinkle of murder.
These nice people killing each other.
I love it.
Like so many of us, I grew up wanting to
be the characters that I saw on TV.
I wanted to be Speed Racer.
I wanted to be Wonder Woman.
And of course, as I got older,
I had to come to terms with the fact that
I would simply never have the figure to
play Columbo.
In 1976, the world was introduced to
Charlie's Angels.
Three beautiful, bad-ass secret agents who

Celebrating the 50th
anniversary of their debut
season, please welcome
the cast of Charlie's Angels.
Jacqueline Smith, Cheryl Ladd,
and three-time Emmy nominee Kate Jackson.
Sit down.
Sit down, please.
Oh, how warm and wonderful that is.
Yeah.
Hi, everybody.
It's an honor to be here tonight to
present the Emmy for Drama Series.
And to celebrate the 50th anniversary of
Charlie's Angels.
And I would like to acknowledge someone
not standing with us tonight.
And that's my friend Farrah Fawcett.
As I've said many times, Charisma doesn't
need a second season.
She's here.
And she's here with us in everyone's
collective memory.
Farrah was the shiniest angel of all.
And she was loved by millions of people
all over the world.
And she still is today.
And they'll never forget her.
And neither will we.
And I'm sure you won't either.
And her iconic poster lives in the mines.
And it goes... The visages of many a man.
Here are the nominees for Drama Series.
The Diplomat.
You used me to sell a lie to the Prime
Minister.
When the Brits find out, they will
consider this an act of war.
The Gilded Age.
I just want what's best for us all.
I must confess, being so near death has
rather changed my perspective on that.
A Night at the Seven Kingdoms.
The night defends the innocent.
That's all I did.
I was not Sir Erland's blood.
But I have followed his example.
Paradise.
That's my wife.
I came a long way to find her.
And I need to know that she's okay.
The Pit.
They've been doing this longer than I
have.
They provide resources, assistance,
and support for sexual assault survivors.
Hey.
Guess we'll have to find you, okay?
Pluribus.
You know my name.
You know Helen's name.
You are talking to me from my TV.
Slow horses.
You don't want me here and I don't want to
be here.
You can leave anytime you want.
That's the whole point of Slower House.
Not sure how you missed that.
Your friends and neighbors.
I'm still at 200 grand.
Yeah.
Here's 150.
Give me another week, I'll get you the
rest.
How are you going to do that?
Are you going to rob somebody else?
And the Emmy goes to...
The Pit.
The Pit leads all programs
this year with 25 Emmy
nominations, bringing its
series total to 38 nominations.
Accepting the Emmy on behalf of the team
is R.
Scott Gemmell.
Yeah, apparently there's a lot of us.
R.
Scott Gemmell.
Thank you my dear.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you, this is... we are so grateful
and so humbled to be here amongst all of
the nominees, not just in our category,
in all the categories, as well as our
colleagues from last weekend's Creative
Arts celebrations.
We are just so grateful to be in this
business.
It takes hundreds of people to put on a TV
show, as you well know.
And we are so blessed to have the most
talented and passionate cast and crew.
And I know it's not just our show.
I know your shows are the same.
You feel the same way about your people.
Because we are so blessed to live in this
community where we have... the best part
of this job is the people we get to work
with every day.
We've always tried to
be really authentic and tell
stories about the real life
heroes of the emergency.
The department who are there for us day
in, day out.
And we just want to, you know,
shine the light on them.
Yes, their stories can be
frustrating and heartbreaking,
but they also can be so
inspirational and healing.
And yes, we are entertainers.
We make you laugh, we make you cry.
Occasionally we make you look away in
disgust.
But when I look around this room, I see
something more important than the awards.
The awards and the ratings,
I see a whole community
that is still trying
to do the right thing.
It is so hard to tell what is real and
what we can believe anymore.
Which makes telling
honest stories about real
human struggles so much
more important than ever.
What you do is, it changes people's lives.
And I am just so happy that
we get to do that because
it is so difficult to know
what to believe anymore.
And so, when the last bastion of reality
is our shared collective fiction,
that makes what you do so much more
important.
People need to know the truth
and we need to continue to tell
them that in whatever way we
can, in whatever form we can.
Because at the end of the day,
I think, sometimes it is only the story.
The storytelling that allows us to
understand and appreciate each other.
And that is more important than ever.
So, keep doing what you are doing.
Coming up next, Matthew
McConaughey and Woody
Harrelson present the
final award of the night.
Comedy Series.

Verity is a master at manipulating the
truth.
Warning.

Everybody.

Oscar winner, Matthew McConaughey.
Thank you.
Oscar nominee, Woody Harrelson here.
Which I prefer because, you know,
keeps me hungry.
One of the many things I love about you,
buddy.
So you want to tell me and everybody out
there what we're doing up here tonight?
Okay, we're presenting
here tonight because
we're back on TV for
the first time in 12 years.
Yeah.
Yeah, we got a little show called
Brothers.
It'll be on Apple TV next week.
It felt like moderate enthusiasm.
It's fine.
It's late.
And this all started with a crazy rumor
from your mom.
My mom started a lot of crazy rumors.
What did she say about this one?
Like you don't remember?
Right.
Yeah.
She told me after her fourth toke and her
fifth Kendall Jackson
that she knew my father.
Yeah.
Wow.
You've had many tokes with my mom before.
Anyway, that's cool.
But they just met.
So what's the big deal?
So what?
No.
She said she knew my father.
Right, right, right.
Lipsies.
What are you reading into that?
It feels pretty clear to me, dude.
Dude.
People meet.
All right?
People know each other.
I know lots of people.
Doesn't mean I've slept with all of them.
Yeah.
Well, the emphasis was on knew.
Like she knew.
Like they were doing it.
Like they were doing the horizontal bebop.
All right.
That's a pretty big leap
for you to believe that
your dad and my mom
actually shagged, buddy.
Well, no.
I don't think so.
The way she said knew definitely
meant they conceived you... Right.
...together.
Okay.
And that's what you're
saying is your proof
and the reason you know this to be true.
Time's still a flat circle for you,
ain't it?
Just as flat.
Just a little more round, bud.
Dude, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you
your mom wasn't a virgin.
Actually, Wood, it's impossible
technically for any mom to be a virgin.
Mary.
Oh, okay.
Now we're gonna talk about some immaculate
conception.
You wanna get on with why we're really
here now?
Yeah.
Why not?
They told us we need to spend more time up
here, that the show's going short.
Well, are we gonna read off...
Read the nominees for best comedy?
Yeah.
I have a good idea, brother.
Let's do that.
Here are the nominees for comedy series.
Abbott Elementary.
Sloppy Joes.
Our kids take pictures after lunch.
Yeah, I can't have more Sloppy Joes.
They don't have the hand-eye coordination
to pull off a clean Joe.
Yeah.
The Bear.
This is playing 1,440 hours.
Anybody know how long that is?
Three months.
Two months.
I don't know what you're worse at,

That's intimate.
Only Murders in the Building.
You never mentioned you did magic.
Was that because it's embarrassing?
So yes.
Shrinky.
Dude.
How did you not ask her out?
Liz, you know I hate being spied on.
Hey, she's right though, man.
That was painful.
What the hell?
I told you she liked him.
I got it.
Everybody, get out of my yard.
Widow's Bay.
Was there cannibalism?
No.
I don't think that's right.
Oh, yeah, right.
The Emmy goes to... Oh, are we supposed
to stretch it out here a little bit?
They're a little bit short.
They just came out and said we should just
go on and filibuster.
Yeah, just taffy it out.
You got no trouble with that, do you?
These guys are so bored with us.
Here it goes, too.
Widow's Bay.
Widow's Bay received 19 nominations this
year, capping off its remarkable Emmy

The Emmy goes to... I
love this group so much.
Thank you.
First of all, this is incredible.
We love all these other shows so much.
I mean, every other show is amazing.
Just personally, I have to quickly thank
my mom for always making Halloween fun.
And also, this group,
this was such a great
collaboration of the best
wonderful weirdos and artists.
These writers, these producers,
these amazing actors, these directors.
Hero, thank you again.
God, the editors.
I'm going to name everyone.
The cinematographer.
It's a wonderful group.
Thank you, Apple, for letting us take this
crazy creative swing.
They truly just let us do this weird show.
And we can't thank you enough.
So, thank you so much.
And thank you to the Academy.
And we'd also like
to thank the evil entity
on the island that
trusted us with its story.
Okay, serve the punch now.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much to the Television
Academy.
To all the nominees and to every TV
viewer.
It's been an absolute delight to be your
host.
Thank you for all the love and all the joy
tonight.
I had high hopes that this would be a
beautiful night.
But I just never knew that it could feel
this incredibly meaningful and joyful.
To celebrate with all of you.
And now that we've reached the end,
there's only one thing left to do.
God, I love it when it does that.
Good night, everyone.
Thank you.

It's just a lot of pressure.
Have you ever felt
like you have millions of
eyes on you and it all
comes down to one night?
Seriously?
Hey, Jalen, it's just me, alright?
I don't have anyone to tap it in for me.
Oh my gosh, the opening number is
starting.
I gotta get to the airport.
I don't have time to sit around and steam
outfits with you.
I gotta go.
Let yourself out.
Got six hours, so I should probably
snooze.
Memorize this script or read the news.
I look over at 11C.
He's watching Triple D.
Guy Fieri's eating up on me.
Yeah, me.
We're all watching shows and smelling
feet.
Yeah, feet.
Sing it.
I love TV screens.
Michael's money troubles on the airplane,
baby.
I love TV screens.
Oh, she's getting naked.
Don't look at my screen.
Ow!
My back.
Watchin' Abbott at the Marriott.
Catch another Bronson.
Nail the shot.
Robbie's M.D.'s are fixin' up P.P.
Next, I'm eatin' beef and waffles.
Watchin' beef.
Yeah, beef.
Then I screamin' Monster Ed Gein.
He's mean.
Sing it.
I love TV screens.
Hunky-hacky, humpin', passin' popcorn,
baby.
I love TV screens.
Now I'm watchin' Hacks Get Smart with
Gene.
Ow!
DTF, I'm DTW.
Gets down to watch, but I'm the first one
to.
Take me to the Killed It H.
Then I'll swim in Widow's Bay.
Holy sh, the sea egg's chasing me.
Ah!
Eek!
Wait, it's Jen Coolidge with the boba tea.
Yummy!
Thanks, Jen.
I love TV screens.
Cloppin' to the theater on a slow horse,
baby.
I love TV screens.
I know they're not real horses,
so don't at me.
I love TV screens.
Kinda like a movie on the smaller,
baby.
I love TV screens.
So order up a pizza and watch with me.
I love TV screens.
So does everybody watchin' this show,
baby.
I love TV screens.
Now it's time for the Emmy.
Welcome to the Emmy!
Hello!
I am Mariska Hargitay.
I am so honored to be your host tonight.
Um, the Emmys are celebrating their 78th
year.
And NBC is celebrating its 100th year.
And I have been on Law & SVU for all of
them.
I am so incredibly proud to be the first
woman to host the Emmys.
In 15 years!
Guys!
Imagine that!
For 15 straight years.
Amy and Tina said no.
So I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna lie,
it's a lot of pressure.
But it is so reassuring to see so many
familiar faces out there.
And I'm just talking about... how
many of you I've arrested on SVU.
Can you believe it?
You guys have done some unspeakable
things.
I'm talking to you, Martin Short.
You should be ashamed of yourself,
my friend.
And I couldn't do any of this without
thanking the genius behind SVU,
the legendary Dick Wolf,
who has created over
40 shows, 13 of which
are on the air right now.
And I gotta say, you know, over the years,
there have been a lot of jokes about his
name, which is so unfair, because Dick
Wolf isn't even his real name.
His real name is Richard Penis.
We have incredible nominees tonight.
Some new shows that
are here for the first time,
and others that are
celebrating their series.
Finale.
Sorry.
Finale?
Sorry.
Am I saying that right?
I'm sorry, guys.
It's just that I never had one.
So, okay.
So when I was deciding to host the Emmys,
I consistently got two pieces of advice.
Number one, don't do it.
And number two, whatever you do,
don't go for sincerity.
I clearly ignored the first, so please
join me as I ignore the second.
I am truly deeply moved, and so incredibly
grateful to be in a room full of people
who have dedicated their lives to telling
stories.
Since the beginning
of time, humans have all
gathered around the light to tell stories.
Back then, it was the fire in the cave,
and now it's the screen of your choice.
But no matter how we watch,
and even though we're worlds
apart, we're all still holding
a bit of that communal light.
And at the end of the day, we come to TV
for magic, to laugh, to cry, to care,
because we need that,
all of us, that indescribable
feeling that we get when
the lights begin to dim.
Dazzling images on the silver screen.
Sound that I can feel.
No, Mariska, come on.
What?
Yes.
That's mine.
That's my bit.
You can't do that.
What?
No, no, Nicole, I'm not.
No.
Somehow, heartbreak feels good in a place
like this.
No, no, come on.
That's my line.
That is actually my line.
Zip it, movie lady.
It's TV's turn tonight.
We've got such a great show for you.
Good luck, nominees.
Looking at you, Kidman.
Now, to kick things off, please welcome
our first presenter.
She's an Emmy winner
and the funniest woman
on TV, even when it's
a podcast on YouTube.
Ladies and gentlemen, Amy Poehler.
Give it up for Mariska Hargitay,
everybody.
Crushed it.
She crushed it.
Good evening.
I am here to present
Best Supporting Actress in
a Comedy Series, the
first award of the night.
Now, we all know that
only one name will be read,
and technically that
person will be the winner.
But keep in mind that the rest of you are
all losers.
But as this show goes on, the list of
losers will grow.
Until there are so many more of you than
winners.
And collectively, we will all start to
feel like the winners are the weird ones.
And when that starts
to happen, feel free to
go up to a winner and
point at them and laugh.
Remind them that you don't care about
winning stupid awards.
And then grab your friends and form a
circle around all of the winners.
And taunt them like the freaks that they
are.
That is what tonight is about.
Here are the nominees for Best Supporting
Actress in a Comedy Series.
Dale Dickey, Widows' Bay.
Hannah Einbinder, Hacks.
Janelle James, Abbott Elementary.
Kate O'Flynn, Widows' Bay.
Michelle Pfeiffer, Margo's Got Money
Troubles.
Megan Salter, Hacks.
Jessica Williams, Shrinking.
Hilarious women all.
And the Emmy goes to...
Kate O'Flynn, Widows' Bay.
This is the first Emmy win and nomination
for Kate O'Flynn.
Thank you so much.
Oh, wow.
Gosh.
Um... I want to thank our
mayor and all the residents
of Widows' Bay in front
and behind the camera.
You're amazing.
This is the role of a lifetime.
Thank you, Katie and
Hero, for trusting this
Lancashire lass to play a
sassy broad like Patricia.
And Apple for saying yes.
Thank you, Nicky and Tony, for looking
after me.
My friends and family back home.
Mum and Dad.
And the loves of my life.
My darling husband.
And our darling daughter.
Another sassy broad in the making.
But, um...
This is for all the Patricias out there.
See you at Sunset Cocktails to celebrate.
Thank you.
Please welcome, two-time Emmy winner,
Zendaya.
Brash and brilliant.
Fearless and fierce.
Sharp and sublime.
I can keep going on
all night about words to
describe how profoundly
talented these women are.
But, let's just get to the award.
Here are the nominees for Lead Actress in
a Comedy Series.
Quinta Brunson.
Abbott Elementary.
Iowa Debris.
The Bear.
Elle Fanning.
Margot's Got Money Troubles.
Lisa Kudrow.
The Comeback.

And 15th nomination for Jean Smart.
And her fifth win for her portrayal of
Deborah Vance on Hacks.
Okay, just the men stay standing.
The girls get to sit down.
I'm serious.
No, I'm serious.
Every time this happens, I think of the
girls.
They're going, oh, I just got comfortable.
Why did she have to... Oh, my God.
You got your Spanx and your corset and
your tape and your thing.
The shoes that are cutting your toes off.
You're going, oh, my God.
She's not that good.
You just stood up because she's old.
Oh, my God.
Anyway, thank you.
I'm so sorry.
Oh, my God.
The time is going.
Okay, I'm sorry.
I have so many people to thank.
Of course, Universal and HBO
and my reps who are the best
in the business and my children
who are my anchor for us.
I have Chris and Conner.
But this one I'm dedicating to Lucia
Aello, Jen Sackie, and Paul W.
Downs.
It all begins and ends with them.
I love you guys so much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you all so much.
What a ride, this event.
Coming up next, David
Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle
Gellar celebrate 30 years
of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
And Alan Cumming and Emmy Rossum present
supporting actress in a drama series.
I don't think I've lived a day without
thinking about my weight.
And I spent years trying to find an
answer.
I never thought that would change in my

How late?
Tomorrow.
So this is what Lois Lane feels like.
I love you, Lois.
A whole family full of cops.
Two Secret Service agents.
A U.S.

A Fed.
And now a DOJ analyst.
We're all government agents doing the

Amen.
I think my case is a double murder.

Don't you just hit?
She was looking behind her.
I think a third party shot them both.
Come on.
This is why I don't work with family.
The assassin is still out there.
We have to find him.
Gotcha.
Nothing like a little murder.
To bring a family together.
Time of Fire, next Monday on NBC and
Peacock.
Welcome back.
This year, so many of our favorite shows
are reaching milestone anniversaries.
The Muppet Show is turning 50, which means
that it is now a finely aged prosciutto.
You want to keep feeling old?
If you watched Hannah
Montana, it's now time to talk
to your doctor about scheduling
a Hannah mammogramma.
Also, Stranger Things just wrapped up
after 10 years.
10 full years.
And look at how the kids have grown up
now.
They grow up so fast.
We're also celebrating 30 years since the
debut of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The show... that taught us that
high school really is a portal to hell.
Please welcome the stars of Buffy, David
Boreanaz and Emmy
winner Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Hard to believe it's been 30 years since
Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered.
Yes, for those of you keeping track at
home, I had just turned two.
I mean, when you think about it,
it is, you know, kind of crazy, right?
A teenage girl chosen by fate to fight
vampires, demons, the forces of evil.
Darkness.
And then she falls in love with a vampire
with a soul.
Carrying around a couple hundred years of
regret.
A much, much older vampire with a soul and
agonizing remorse about his past.
For those of you who don't know,
his character was 241 years old.
So, a May-December romance?
More like a May-December 1787 romance.
You know, Sarah, I always thought that
Buffy and Angel would end up together.
Well, I guess we won't find out.
So, before we move on to the award...
Thank you.
David and I...
David and I would like
to acknowledge that it has
been a tough two years for
our beloved cast and crew.
And we feel very lucky to have known and
worked with such amazing people.
Indeed.
And now, here are the nominees for Lead
Actor in a Limited
Anthology Series or Movie.
Riz Ahmed, Bait.
Jason Bateman, Black.
Charlie Hunnam, Monster, The Ed Gein
Story.
Oscar Isaac, Beast.
Matthew Rhys, The Beast in Me.
And the Emmy goes to...
Matthew Rhys, The Beast in Me.
This is the second Emmy win and eighth
nomination for Matthew Rhys.
This year, he earned the
rare fees of Lead Actor
nominations in both
comedy and limited series.
And he is the first ever Ladies and
Gentleman Award recipient.
Oh, good grief.
If you try and taunt me, I'll stab you in
the eyes with this.
This is a real shock because.
Not least because the caliber and company
of the actors in this category...
We had a beautiful holy trinity of scribes
in the glorious form of Daniel Pearl,
Gabe Rotter, and the
inimitable Howard Gordon
who really brought
out the beast in all of us.
We were guided so
beautifully by our actors for
the past couple of years
and I do need to say that.
Antonio Campos was
certainly led ferociously,
fiercely, fervently by the
incredible Claire Danes.
Thank you for letting me join the Mystery
Machine and bringing out the Beast.
You are an intimidating scene partner but
I'm very grateful for for all this.
To all the reps and Cole,
Ginny, Netflix, all you
do, all you continue to
do, thank you so much.
Real, real, thank you.
Please welcome Golden Globe nominee Emmy
Rossum and five-time
Emmy winner Alan Cumming.
The great philosopher and
spiritual teacher Buddha once
said we are born alone, we
live alone, and we die alone.
Wow, that's dark.
It's very depressing.
It's an award show.
But there is good news.
We may be born alone and live alone and
die alone but we don't act alone.
That's true and that is why
we are honored to present the
Emmy for Outstanding Supporting
Actress in a Drama Series.
The men and women
who are nominated for this
award were fantastic
in their performances.
And spectacular at fully supporting and
giving their fellow actors a brief respite
from the hellish loneliness we all must
endure until we die alone.
And God bless them all.
Here are the nominees.
Taylor Dearden, The Pit.
Fiona Durek, The Pit.
Allison Janney, The Diplomat.
Catherine Lanassa, The Pit.
Sephida Muawfi, The Pit.
Julianne Nicholson, Paradise.
Carolina Ouidra.
And the Emmy goes to Allison Janney for
The Diplomat.
This is the eighth Emmy win and sixteenth
nomination for Allison Janney.
She took home her first
Emmy for Supporting
Actress in a Drama
Series for The West Wing.
I have to tell you this was not what I
planned for.
Because I was concerned that For this
category at all.
And I'm very, I'm very surprised and very,
very grateful to be here and I thank all
the members of the Television Academy and
of course I have to thank Deborah Kahn,
who is our show writer, showrunner,
who writes scripts and dialogue that
actors cannot wait to chew up and spit out
and it's so much fun, and Alex Grace,
our director, who I adore, and Janice
Williams, and the coolest woman on the
planet, Keri Russell, who leads us all
everyday.
She is... and Rufus, the entire cast is
just divine and I am so grateful and so
lucky and I thank you very much from the
bottom of my heart.
Thank you.
Coming up at the Peacock Theatre in
downtown Los Angeles, Florence Pugh and
Julia Gardner present the award for Lead
Actress in a Drama.
Brought to you by Icotide.
Great news.
I'm prescribing you Icotide, a new kind of

Just one pill, once a day?
You're unbelievable.
That's unbelievable.
Unbelievable, right?
I meant... The results?
Icotide provides powerful
skin clearance and I've
seen my patients achieve
completely clear skin.
It also has a proven safety
profile with Icotide patients
reporting side effects at
rates similar to placebo.
Do you see the...
Oh, patient brochures.

I'm hosting the Emmys.
I made my Broadway debut.
And SVU is currently filming its historic

So, Margo may have money troubles.
But Mariska's doing just fine.
Our next category is Outstanding Actress
in a Drama Series.
I took home this award 20 years ago for
playing America's sweetheart sex cop,
Olivia Benson.
And since then, I have won a number of
Emmys for acting.
And that number is zero.
And now to present the award, two
extraordinarily talented women.
Three-time Emmy winner, Julia Garner and
Oscar nominee, Florence Pugh.
We are honored to present the Emmy for
Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Over the decades, acclaimed actresses such
as Barbara Stanwyck, Angie Dickinson,
Tyne Daly, Glenn Close,
Edie Falco, Allison Janney,
and Viola Davis have all
taken home the Emmy.
In this category...
Tonight's nominees continue the legacy of
outstanding performances
in leading dramatic roles.
The nominees are... Carrie
Coon, The Gilded Age.
Chase Infinity, The Testaments.
Keri Russell, The Diplomat.
Ray Sehorne, Pluribus.
Zendaya, Euphoria.
And the Emmy goes to...
Ray Sehorne.
This is the first Emmy win and fourth
nomination for Ray Sehorne.
She was previously nominated twice for her
supporting role in Better Call Saul.
Hi, Gray and McClain.
Those are my sons.
Gosh, sorry.
Sorry, this is me on a beta blocker.
It's pretty bad.
I just... Well, thank you to the
Television Academy so much.
And all the members that voted.
And I also just want to say
congratulations.
And thank you for the performances to my
fellow nominees in my category.
All brilliant, brilliant performances.
Keri Russell among them, who sent us a
lovely gift and a card.
Quoting... Sadly, we didn't know
that we would lose her so soon.
But quoting Gloria Steinem, saying...
We are linked, not ranked.
And I feel that way about all you women.
So thank you for that.
Thank you, Vince Gilligan.
They're telling me to wrap it up,
but no.
Thank you, Vince Gilligan, for giving me
not only the role of a lifetime,
but for creating sets where we all get to
collaborate.
And we are actually made to feel safe to
take risks so that we
get better as artists.
Thank you to my whole crew, my producers,

And my pirate lady, Carolina Widra.
And thank you to my beautiful family,

Tomorrow on NBC and Peacock.
Tonight we are celebrating some of the
biggest names in television.
But it's important to remember that they
weren't always stars.
In fact, my first job was working at a
bookstore here in L.A.
called Book Soup.
Coleman Domingo!
Hello!
What was your first job?
Oh, I worked at the Fry's station at
McDonald's.
Quinta Brunson, what was your first job?
Oh, I was a student dance school teacher.
Amazing!
Amazing!
Nick Offerman, how about you?
What was your first job?
Erotic painter.
Huh.
Interesting.
Like you painted men or you painted women?
Houses.
Okay.
No kidding.
Wow, okay.
Well, Raya Sehorne, what was your first
job?
Hostess, T.J.
I'm sorry, can we go back to Nick
Offerman's answer for a second?
Okay, so Nick, so you were an erotic
painter and you painted houses?
Yeah, that's right.
Okay.
How was that erotic?
I was in the nude.
So you were naked painting houses?
No, I was in the nude.
Uh, I don't see why this is so hard to
understand.
It was kind of a standard gig.
I would strip down and dump
a can of paint over my head and
then roll my nude male body
around the house's exterior.
The whole house?
You know, doors and trim were extra.
Roofs were not pleasant, but a buck is a
buck.
I'm sorry, Nick.
That doesn't sound erotic to me.
Oh, it wasn't supposed to be erotic for
you.
It was erotic for the house.
Moving on!
Here to present Supporting
Actor in a Comedy Series,
please welcome five-time
Emmy nominee Sofia Vergara.
Good evening.
They might call them
supporting, but there is
nothing secondary
about these performances.
These guys know how to steal a scene, and
occasionally they steal the whole show.
Being the second banana could come with a
gold statue for one of them.
Here are the nominees for Supporting Actor
in a Comedy Series.
Coleman Domingo, The Four Seasons.
Paul W.
Downs, Hacks.
Harrison Ford, Shrinking.
Nick Offerman, Margot's Got Money
Troubles.
Steven Root, Widows' Bay.
Michael Urie, Shrinking.
Tyler James Williams, Abbott Elementary.
And the Emmy goes to... ...
Steven Root, Widows' Bay.
This is the first Emmy win and second
nomination for Steven Root.
He received his first nomination in 2019
for his role in Bury.
Holy cow, The Money Store.
Um...
I'm thrilled and delighted, but the reason
I'm up here is Katie Dippold.
Katie Dippold.
And Katie Dippold and the brilliant hero,
Mirai, who shoved us through all these
amazing shows, but I have to say it is
Matthew Rhys and the brilliant Cato Flynn
and the comic stylings of these two are
the best thing in the 21st century.
I was so happy to be included in this
incredible journey that we had today.
Thank you all the nominees.
You are all unbelievable.
I'm a huge fan.
Thank you, Harrison Ford.
Because my son because my
son came up to me running up
to me and said you're in a
category with Harrison Ford!
Thank you, sir, for all your many years of
great, great, great, great acting.
Thank you everybody on Widow's Bay.
We are so thrilled that we're being
represented by so many people.
Thank you so, so much!
Coming up, the cast of the new Baywatch.
Then, John Mulaney takes the stage.
And later, a performance from Noah Kahn in
tribute to those we lost this past year.
Plus, we celebrate 50 years of Charlie's
Angels.
We need to draw a line.
Because somebody has to.
The ocean is dangerous.
So what options does that leave you?
Are you going to just accept your fate?
Survive or survive?
No!
Won't I get out of here?
You will fall.

Jessica Belkin, and Noah Beck.
We are the cast of the new
Baywatch, and we are proud to
say it's shot right here on
the beaches of Los Angeles.
Yes, Baywatch is back.
And yes, there are red bathing suits.
But there are also big rescues and real
danger.
And very complicated relationships.
It's action-packed, sexy, and saltier than
ever.
So basically, it's Baywatch.
But with more action.
And less fabric.
And some things you just don't mess with.
And Baywatch is going big, premiering on
broadcasting and streaming the next day.
And now, here are the nominees for Reality
Competition Program.
Dancing with the Stars.
RuPaul's Drag Race.
Survivor.
Top Chef.
The Traitors.
And the Emmy goes to...
The Traitors.
The Traitors does it again.
After sweeping all five
nominations last year,
the show has now swept all six this year.
This marks the third consecutive win for
Reality Competition Program.
Thanks so much.
I speak on behalf of all our
producers who are running to
the stage as though they're
on a mission of The Traitors.
Now they know what it feels like.
Thank you to the Academy so much.
Especially thank you last week for all the
love you showed us at
the Creative Arts Emmys.
It really means a lot and is really
inspiring us to do better and to go bigger.
I want to thank all our friends,
Frances Berrick and all our friends at NBC
Universal and Peacock for their enduring
support.
We want to thank all our loved ones who

I want to thank my dog Lala for being the
perfect co-host.
Also our audience.
The audience is so amazing.
It is so diverse and it's
just incredible the way
you all get together and
watch the show together.
That is so beautiful that a show about
treachery and betrayal
brings people together.
Finally, tonight we have
received the most votes but
tomorrow is Voter
Registration Day in this country.
So please make sure you are registered to
vote because the time for talk is over.
It is now time to vote America.
Thank you so much.
Our next presenter can do an amazing iced
tea impression and I should know because
iced tea specifically asked me to tell him
to stop.
Please welcome four-time Emmy Award winner
John Mulaney.
All right.
What a wonderful Emmy weekend this is.
It's these couple days
where you find out just
how much you mean to
your billion-dollar streamer.
We love you.
We want you to know how important you are
to this storytelling family.
Can I get a plus one?
You get out of here.
This is the best part of the night.
Lead actor in a drama.
This award is for the guys.
Just men being men.
Finally something for the fellas.
And what a, what a crop of prom kings we
have.
They're not soft like the dad on Bluey.
No.
Guy's a joke.
Since the creation of television,
men have been historically unrepresented.
For the first three years TV existed,
there were no men on it.
It was just beauty contests and children
talking to hand puppets
until the early 60s.
Until a man walked out and said enough.
My name is Fonzie and the president's been
shot.
But, let's talk about these bros tonight.
These sweat hogs.
Some of the men in this category do method
acting.
And some do regular, less annoying acting.
But no matter what, when these fellas hit
their mark, they know all their lines.
Why?
Because they started looking at their
sides earlier that morning.
These men excuse me, these men give it all
in every single take.
Unless the coverage is
on the other actor and
then they might bounce
early, but that's okay.
And they can play anything, these
nominees.
Not just doctors.
They can play a cop or an FBI agent or a
secret agent and then that's it.
No other examples.
I believe it was DJ Khaled who said,
real men don't go d.
But these nominees know that that is B.S.
They know there's often less pressure on
them if they do that first.
You know, I was shooting down Barham last
night at 90 miles an hour and I I was
reminded of something I read in actor
Frank Vincent's 2006 book.
A guy's guide to being a man.
And I do want to note this copy is from
the Glendale Public Library.
If you don't mind, I'd like
to read a passage from the
book right now and then
in a minute we'll get to this.
Let me see here.
Okay.
And I'm reading now.
A man's man can be wearing the best
clothes, drinking the finest wine,
sitting with the most beautiful woman in
Las Vegas, but if he doesn't treat
everyone around him with respect and
class, he's not a real man's man.
He's just a jabroni in a good suit.
And the nominees for lead actor in a drama
are
Joel, The Diplomat, Noah Wiley,
The Pit.
And the Emmy goes to Noah Wiley for The
Pit.
This is the third Emmy win and tenth
nomination for Noah Wiley.
He is a triple nominee this year for
acting, directing, and producing The Pit.
This is overwhelming.
And I just I have to acknowledge the work
of my fellow nominees.
Your work is inspirational.
I watch you.
I learn from you.
In particular, Mr. Oldman, I have to tell
you.
I don't know if there's an actor my age
that didn't look and prick up your ears
and sit in Nancy and
think that's the benchmark
that I want to hit one day in my career.
I'm so grateful to everybody that I work
with.
Everybody at HBO.
Casey and Sarah and Joey and all of our
partners at Warner Television.
Channing and Clancy.
To all the men and women who work so hard
on stage 22 each and every day.
We're going to be back there hitting it
hard tomorrow morning.
Really early.
Doing some hard stuff.
I grew up in LA.
I'm a Hollywood kid.
I was raised on a television.
And movie theaters were my place of
worship.
This is all I've ever wanted to do.
And this is the only club I've ever wanted
to join.
Thank you for accepting me.
Up next, Rachel Sennett and Odessa Isaiah.
Then later, Michael J.
Fox receives the Humanitarian Award.
And Reba McEntire pays tribute to Dolly
Parton.
Brought to you by Allstate.
You're in good hands.
I'm a 200 year old elm.
And while I might be holding up on the
outside, on the inside, I'm dead.
Oh man, it feels good to just let go.
And if you don't have the right home

Switch to Allstate, and you could save
over $900.

Lock in.
We are thrilled to be presenting
the award for supporting actor
in a drama because we are
major supporters of actor drama.
Yes.
We're major, major supporters of actor
drama.
We're huge supporters.
We love it.
Truly.
I mean, any type of actor drama we love.
It's two macho straight guys
sitting in hair and makeup
for two hours and then
yelling at each other on set.
It's the dream.
Delish.
I love it.
Oh my god, yes.
Two guys in wigs just
slamming trailer doors
because one of them
looks taller on camera.
Heaven.
Heaven.
I mean, come on.
That's obviously the real drama.
We all live for it.
We live for it.
And we live for these fabulous nominees.
Garen Howell, The Pit.
Jack Loudon, Slow Horses.
Tom Pelfrey, TAS.
Carlos Manuel Vesca, Pluribus.
Oh my god, it's me?
Okay.
And the Emmy goes to Tom Pelfrey!
This is the first Emmy win and second
nomination for Tom Pelfrey.
His first nomination came in 2022 for his
role as Ben Davis on Ozark.
Wow.
This is incredible.
Thank you.
Um, I thank God for my life and my
sobriety.
I thank my family and my friends for all
your love and support all these years from
Emmys to, you know, black box theaters and
everything in between.
Thank you to HBO, Casey and Franny.
Thank you to Mark Roybal.
And Whip.
Thank you to Jeremiah and Sally,
our directors, our cast.
Especially Raul, Amelia, and my friend the
beautiful Mark Ruffalo.
Thank you to Brad
Inglesby for this incredible
role and this opportunity
and your friendship.
You are an amazing human being.
I'm so proud to be your friend.
And to my favorite actor in this room.
My love, my best friend, my partner.
The very pregnant Kaley Cuoco.
I love you more than anything in our
family is the crown jewel of my life.
Matilda, daddy loves you.
Baby girl in that belly.
Daddy loves you.
Thank you.
God bless.
All right, team.
Listen up.
The Emmys are tonight and
the mayor's office is breathing
down my neck demanding
an answer to the big question.
Will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?
Now, in order to crack a Swifty case,
you gotta think like a Swifty.
Because the Swifties think that everything
is a clue to what she'll do next.
Now... Okay, a crime board.
Now we're talking.
So let's start with the Emmy nominations.
Abbott Elementary nominated for seven
Emmys.
Season six premieres this year.
Seven and six add them up, people.
Taylor's lucky number, 13.
And there are 13 nominations for DTF St.
Louis.
St. Louis, Missouri.
Also in Missouri.
Kansas City.
And who plays football for Kansas City?
Travis Kelsey.
That's the guy she married.
What color is his jersey?
Red.
Like her album.
Red.
Like blood.
DNA sample cap.
And?
Contaminated.
Great.
Now we got bad blood.
Good blood.
Blood relative.
Like the contestants on The Amazing Race.
The Amazing Matthew Rhys.
Widows Bay.
Sea Hag.
See?
Look.
What you made me do.
Off the album Reputation.
Uh...
Genetic mutation.
Pluribus.
A real mind bender.
Hannah Einbinder.
Hacks.
Ah, that hacks finale.
I cried like a baby.
Griff, go check traffic cams.
For what?
Don't worry about it.
Just go check them.
Okay, you got it.
Alright.
To what I was saying.
Hacks.
Vegas.
Life of a showgirl.
You know who else is a girl on a show?
Barbara Corcoran.
Stick a fork in.
An empanada.
Wow.
Guys, I think we all know where this is
heading.
Diners, drive-ins, and dives.
Okay, guys, we are in a real rabbit hole.
That's right, it's a hole.
It's a whole nother crime board.
Diners, drive-ins, dives.
Drive-in.
The getaway car.
FBI.
SNL.
Am I from New York?
Welcome to New York.
It's been waiting for you.
I think we got a case here.
Hey, guys.
This isn't adding up.
And who asked you, rookie?
Our perp has a clear M.O.
A lot of this doesn't fit the pattern.
And I don't think everything is a clue.
It is to the Swifties.
I think what we're going to be looking for
is hiding in plain sight.
Saccharide.
Aries.
From the vineyard.
North or south.
What did you just say?
I didn't say anything.
I checked the traffic.
Sweetheart, we're way past that.
But you know who does use cams?
The camera crew.
From the pit.
Right?
Captain, if I may.
Yes, these are all Emmy-nominated shows.
Yes, the Aries tour got five nominations.
Good for her.
Those categories were last week.
Why would she be showing up to the
ceremony tonight?
She's probably going to
be sitting at home playing
with those cats she's named
after TV show characters.
Exactly.
And her cat is named Olivia Benson.
Wait.
I'm Olivia Benson.
And I'm going to be at the Emmys.
Last week, the mayor's office asked me to
do security tonight.
Hold on, guys.
Last week, tonight, John Oliver,
he's British like those damn slow horses.
Fast Broncos, Denver Broncos.
Broncos are playing the Chiefs.
Guys, the answer has been TV this whole
time.
Because they have a game right now.
Okay, so she's not going to be there,
right?
Because her husband's got a work thing.
Bingo!
Well, that case is solved.
Taylor Swift will not be at the Emmys.
She's not there.
I'm not watching.
She's going to do one of those cool
pre-taped sketch things to support the host.
Do you think she'll sing?
No.
Oh, wow.
Isn't it cool when it does that?
Mm-hmm.
It's actually my ringtone.
Just ahead, Jon Hamm
and Amanda Peete present
the Emmy for Lead
Actor in a Comedy Series.
Then later, a performance by Noah Kahn.
And this December, NBC is celebrating its
100th anniversary.
Brought to you by Capital One.
What's in your wallet?
Hey!
Capital One bank guy.
Oh, my favorite regulars.
What can I help you with?
Well, we heard a report about checking
accounts with no fees.
That's true.
Capital One checking accounts have no fees
or minimums.
So what's the catch?
There isn't one.
Are you trying to tell us there's no
catch?
Nope.
Just a really great checking account.
Story checks out.
Okay.
You're free to go.
But I live here.
Wow.
I love what you've done with the place.
What's in your wallet?
It's nice.
Super nice.

And before scheduled procedures with

Taking Zondeo with an insulin or

Side effects include diarrhea,
nausea and vomiting which
can cause dehydration and
may cause kidney problems.
Never be too polite to talk about Zondeo

But it's totally different.

There are a lot of big
stars here tonight who
have made the leap
from movies to television.
Well, I'll have you also know that I
started in film as well.
I actually starred in a little movie
called Ghoulies.
And yes, it's a horror movie.
Where a monster pops out of a toilet.
Let's take a look.
Ghoulies.
They'll get you in the end.
Right?
I mean, come on.
Jamie Lee Curtis is not the only scream
queen around here.
Unfortunately though, I didn't make the
cut for Ghoulies 2.
Or Ghoulies 3.
Ghoulies go to college.
And don't even get me started on Ghoulies
And that's why.
That's why I turned to television.
Here to present Outstanding Director for a
Drama Series, please welcome three-time
Emmy nominee Peter Krause and Emmy winner
Shailene Woodley.
Peter and I have both had
the great privilege and good
fortune as actors to work
with some brilliant directors.
So we understand and appreciate how vital
their role is in any production.
They don't just direct us.
They deeply inspire us.
And they help us bring the words from the
page to life.
It is their creative vision that
ultimately ends up on the screen.
Nominees tonight continue a long legacy of
outstanding directors for a drama series.
And we are honored to present their award.

I thought it was an audition for a Bond
villain.
I just want to thank first Wil Smith who
is the nicest man in the entire world and
the best show runner that anyone can work
for.
And our incredible execs who did a good
job and last to be,
Please welcome Paul Anthony Kelly and Emmy
winner Awkwafina.
Oh, Variety Series can be anything.
Music, sports, interviews, stand-up,
or live performances.
Different styles, different
backgrounds, different
points of view, different tall white men.
All with one goal in mind, to entertain
us.
Our Variety Series nominees all find
comedy within the chaos of modern life.
But even more important, they
speak truth to power, shining
the spotlight on the political
issues that affect us all.
Here are the nominees.
The Daily Show.
Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Saturday Night Live.
And the Emmy goes to...
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Late Show with
Stephen Colbert received nine
nominations this year
and a total overall of 41.
This is their sixth Emmy win this year.
Accepting the Emmy on behalf of the team
is Stephen Colbert.
I just want to point
out that if you liked the
comedy tonight, my old
writers wrote it tonight.
Ariel Dumas, my head writer, is the head
writer of tonight's Emmys.
Thank you so much on behalf of the over
200 people who threw themselves at this
show for 11 years to try to do the best
show they possibly could for you.
The thing about these late shows is that
besides being a really good, steady job,
is that they require so many people that
they're a fantastic incubator for young
people to come in, to
learn to work professionally
on a deadline, in
cooperation, in collaboration.
And that is the future of our business
that we have to look after.
I want you to know I got some great news.
They are all tech avail.
Hire them.
They will make your show better and they
will make your day easier.
I want to thank so many people in this
room.
Over the last 21 years, I've interviewed
at least a thousand of you.
Thank you for coming on to talk to this
idiot.
I want you to know that you were the
perfect guest.
This segment went great and I'm sorry I
forgot to play your clip.
But of course, there can only be one favorite
guest and that is my wife, Evy McGee.
Thank you, darling.
Thank you for being my only crew and my
only guest during COVID.
My only audience and the only audience I
really care about.
Yours is the laugh that I want for the
rest of my life.
I love you.
And I want to say to the audience,
thank you so much for watching.
We hope you enjoyed the show.
We had a great time doing it for you.
That's it.
Thank you.
We'll catch you all on the flip.
Coming up at the Peacock Theatre in
downtown L.A., Marcelo Hernandez.
Plus, Michael J.
Fox receives the Bob Hope Humanitarian
Award.
And Sally Field and the Emmys pay tribute
to Dolly Parton.
Welcome, everybody.
All eyes are gonna be on you.

Just gotta paint myself.
Nice.
Hi.
I'm you.
With more gusto.
My hair's growing back.
Team's digging a new flaw.
It's just me.
Correction.
Team of seven.
We're growing, Mikey.
Get payroll that grows with you.
It's beautiful.
Great news.
I'm prescribing you Iketide.
A new kind of treatment for moderate to
severe plaque psoriasis.
Just one pill?
Once a day?
You're unbelievable.
That's unbelievable.
Unbelievable, right?
I meant... The results?
Iketide provides powerful skin clearance.
And I've seen my patients achieve
completely clear skin.
It also has a proven safety
profile with Iketide patients
reporting side effects at
rates similar to placebo.
Do you see the...
Oh, patient brochures.
Do you want one?
Increased risk of infections or lower
ability to fight them may occur.
Before treatment, your doctor
may check you for infections,
TB, if you need a vaccine,
or have kidney problems.
Iketide.
Ask your doctor if it's right for you.
You're unbelievable.

Hello, hello everybody.
.
Hi.
Hello.
It's an honor for me to be here.
It's my first time... at the Emmys.
And I get to present.
So I just want to take this
opportunity to say hi to
a few people I might not
be able to say hi to later.
I don't know what parties I've been
invited to.
And I don't know what parties you have
been invited to.
So just very quickly, I would like to say
hello to Harrison Ford.
.
Hello.
Hi.
You are a legend, man, and a real
inspiration to me.
And I would like to invite you to have
dinner at my house.
.
Yes.
No pressure.
.
I want to say hi to Zendaya.
.
Hi.
You're a beast.
And you're amazing.
And I saw you.
And I wanted to play it cool.
And I've decided I can do that.
.
So I would like to invite you and
Spider-Man to have dinner at my house.
.
Yes.
What's up, man?
I would also like to say hello to Oscar
Isaac.
Oscar, you are so good in beef,
man.
And you are also Hernandez, like I am.
So we could be cousins.
You never know.
.
And I will see you at Christmas.
I will cook you whatever you want.
.
And lastly, I want to say hello to Matthew
McConaughey.
When I was younger, my Tia Michichi,
my Cuban Tia Michichi, she said,
Marcelo, if you're
working very hard, one day
you can hang out with Matthew McConaughey.
.
And I'm basically doing it, Tia Michichi.
So that is my little spiel.
And now, more importantly, an award for
the people that are so crucial in the
telling of the stories that we all know
and love.
Here are the nominees for director for a
comedy series.
.
Randall Einhorn, Abbott Elementary.
Christopher Storer, The Bear.
Andrew DeYoung, The Chair Company.
Lucia Agnello, Hacks.
Mary Lou Belli, The Miss Pat Show.
Hiro Murai, Widows Bay.
.
Okay.
I get to say this.
And the Emmy goes to Hiro Murai,
Widows Bay.
.
This is the second Emmy win
and tenth nomination for Hiro
Murai, who has two nominations
this year for Widows Bay.
For directing and for producing.
His first Emmy was for producing The Bear,
making this his first directing win.
.
This is so scary up here.
You know, I always say my job isn't to
make the show.
It's just to let the right people in the
room.
And we just had the
most beautiful, kindest,
most gifted people in
our room on the show.
I'd like to thank Matthew, Kate,
Steven, our entire cast, crew, post team.
Some people, you know, I've been doing
this with from the very beginning.
Katie Dippel, thank you for being
brilliant and letting me ride shotgun.
And I'm so proud of everything we did.
And most of all, I just want to thank my
family and my partner, Emma.
I love you.
Thank you.
.
Please welcome three-time Emmy winner,
Juliana Margulies.
.
Tonight, a celebration.
.
An opportunity to recognize
members of our community for
their artistic achievements
of the past television year.
But, tonight we also want to single out an
extraordinary individual whose
contributions go far beyond his television
credits.
A man whose deeds and actions has had a
lasting impact on society.
A dear, dear friend of mine, who I had the
pleasure of working with on The Good Wife.
Michael J.
Fox.
The honor that Michael is receiving
tonight, the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award,
was created in 2002 by the Television
Academy as a way to honor those artists
whose philanthropy exemplifies Bob Hope's
altruism.
This year marks only the sixth time it has
been bestowed.
.
.
A proud son of Canada, he has become one
of the biggest stars in the world.
.
I'm hip.
I'm cool.
I'm a happening fool.
.
Winning Emmys for his role in Family Ties,
Spin City and Rescue Me.
.
Appearing in acclaimed series like
Shrinking and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Oh, thanks.
.
Oh, Jesus Christ!
Did you shake that off on purpose?

On screen, he has brought us joy.
And with his foundation, he has given hope
to millions around the world.
On behalf of the Television
Academy, we are honored to
present the 2026 Bob Hope
Humanitarian Award to Michael J.
Fox.
First of all, thank you so much,
Juliana.
You are so kind.
You are such a great acting partner.
I had a great time on
that show, and I'm glad I
don't have to bring in
legalese every end of my life.
It's hard to remember those words.
I'm going to keep going.
Oh, yeah, and we're friends.
And our friendship.
Thank you to everyone involved with the
Television Academy for this amazing,
humbling honor.
First, a few words about Bob Hope.
My parents were born during the Great
Depression.
Came of age during World War II.
To them, Bob was more than an entertainer.
He was a selfless champion of soldiers and
military families like mine for decades.
Christmases, Thanksgivings, and New
Year's.
Other holidays where he could have been
celebrating with his family.
He was showing up to the troops in Berlin,
Saigon, the Middle East with a turkey leg
and a golf club and maybe a lucky
Lollapalooza.
He embodied everything I came to believe
in years later.
I learned from his example.
When it starts to get tough, you show up.
You help.
And if you can add a little joy while
you're doing it, that's even better.
I couldn't have known how these lessons
would resonate in my own life.
So in my late thirties,
my late twenties... my
life handed me a role
that I was looking for.
Initially I kept my Parkinson's Diagnosis
a secret.
I worried that it would affect my work and
my relationships with audiences.
Would they laugh if they knew I was sick?
And then I was stunned by the support I
got.
I want to support from all of you.
Who are so uplifting and just...just just
made me feel like I could keep doing this.
I hadn't lost, but I do.
you couldn't take it away from me.
And it's because you stood up for me.
And I appreciate it.
Eventually I understood that accepting
Parkinson's didn't mean
I had to surrender to it.
It just meant doing what I could for
everyone living with this disease.
So I set out to advocate for patients'
needs and raise money.
And to propel us towards a cure.
I found brilliant people
to lead the effort for me
and vowed to fund the
best science in the world.
I'm proud of the progress we've made to
benefit Parkinson's patients and families.
We move closer to eradicating this disease
forever.
I'm deeply grateful to our staff,
donors, researchers, and most of all the
patient community who make our work at the
Michael J.
Fox Foundation possible.
Just a shout out to Debbie Brooks who's
over there with my family.
My co-founder and our longtime partner is
Sergey Brindis.
Sergey Brindis.
The family foundation.
With three billion dollars in research.
You had to know there was a billion in
there.
A billion in there somewhere.
Sergey.
And now the part where I thank Tracy and
our kids.
Quina, Edvay, Skyler, and Sam.
For their sacrifices, for their patience,
and for their love.
You have no idea.
And of course my mom and dad and my
sisters and brother in Canada.
Army Brats and Bob Hope fans.
And thank you Bob.
We're Loafwana.
Just show me how it's done.
Thank you.
Coming up, Linda Cardellini and David
Harbour.
Plus, Sally Field and Reba McIntyre lead
the tribute to the great Dolly Parton.
Andy Seymour was fast as fun.
But I'm here to show that slow can be good
too.
Especially when it comes to a progressive
disease like chronic kidney disease.
So while I don't have CKD myself,
I'm taking it slow.
To remind you that Jordans is a little
pill.
Proven to slow the progression of CKD.
Which can lead to dialysis.
And it lowers the risk of cardiovascular
death too.
Serious side effects include increased
ketones in blood or urine.
And infection in the area between and
around the anus and genitals.
Called the perineum.
Both may be fatal.
Severe allergic reactions, dehydration,
urinary tract or genital yeast infections.
In men and women.
And low blood sugar.
Stop taking and tell your doctor right
away.
If you have nausea, vomiting, stomach
pain, tiredness.
Rash, swelling, trouble breathing or
swallowing.
Tell your doctor about
lightheadedness, weakness, fever,
pain, tenderness, redness
or swelling in the perineum.
You may have increased risk for lower limb
loss.
Call your doctor right away if you have
new pain or tenderness.
Sores, ulcers or infection in your legs or
feet.
When it comes to your CKD, embrace the
slow.
Ask your doctor about Jordans.

Let's get to it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Well, baby.
Let's get to it.

Serious allergic reactions.
Increased infections.

Please welcome this year's Emmy winners
for supporting actor and actress in a
limited or anthology series or movie,
David Harbour and Linda Cardellini.
Wow.
Linda, did you hear that?
They called us Emmy winners.
Wow.
Congratulations, David.
Congratulations to you.
We are the freaks that Amy Poehler warned
you about.
Wow.
We also want to give a shout out to our
brilliant DTF leader Steve Conrad,
who won two Emmys last week for writing
and directing our limited series.
We love you.
We are so lucky to play
chaotic and complex characters
that can live on with audiences
long after a season ends.
When the gift of dialogue and stories that
create impossible worlds collide,
the result is priceless.
Whether it's a hostile desert or a
high-stress ER room or a psychological
crisis, it's all In this psychological
interrogation, these writers push the
limits and boundaries all in under an
hour.
Here are the nominees for writing in a
drama series.
Peter Ackerman and Deborah Kahn,
The Diplomat.
Kirsten Pierre Gaifman and R.
Scott Gemmell, The Pit.
Valerie Chu, The Pit.
Vince Gilligan, Pluribus.
Will Smith, Slow Horses.
Brad Inglesby, Task.
And the Emmy goes to...
Vince Gilligan, Pluribus.
This is the fifth Emmy win and 26th
nomination for Vince Gilligan.
In the past, he won two Emmys for writing
and two for producing Breaking Bad.
Very excited.
I have an overwhelming number of people to
thank.
So I'm going to skip that.
But I do want to say I
wouldn't have minded losing to
Valerie Chu, who used to
be our writer's... Where's Val?
Used to be our writer's assistant on
Better Call Saul.
Val, you're awesome.
Thank you for buying me a drink tonight.
I've got a big career ahead of you.
Pluribus.
It's so weird.
A world in which everybody gets along.
It's so sci-fi.
But think about it.
There is nothing weirder than our current
reality.
These past ten years, you can't write this
stuff.
I submit to you that a real
world in which people get
along is just as believable
as what we've got now.
And achievable.
We will never agree on everything,
but we can show respect to one another,
maybe even kindness.
And we can stop listening to
a relative few who tell us that
that is for suckers and who
get their power from dividing us.
My two cents.
And I do want to thank you.
I want to thank Apple TV, Sony Pictures
Television, and the
magnificent Ray Sehorne.
Thank you.
On August 25th, we lost a piece of
America's heart.
Dolly Parton.
Please join me in welcoming her co-star
and treasured friend, Sally Field.
If there are truly angels on Earth,
then we just lost one.
Dolly Parton.
It was my great good fortune to have
worked with Dolly called Still Magnolias.
And over the years, I never stopped loving
her, though we lived very far apart.
I adored her from day one, how could you
not?
She was genuine and humble, supportive,
and blisteringly funny.
With a bawdy sense of
humor that would send
any rude guy looking for a place to hide.
I couldn't see then what a real giant
Dolly was.
Not just as an artist, but as a human.
She was a humanitarian whose contributions
had made a profound difference in the
lives of so many in her home state of
Tennessee and across our country.
God bless you, Dolly Parton, my friend.
I am not the only one on Earth that will
love you forever and ever.
I'm very, very proud of the fact that I
had the kind of parents that I did and
grew up in the Smoky Mountains,
the Appalachian Mountains.
And I have written a song that touches me
very deep, and I'm sure that in your own
way that you certainly will relate to
this.
This song, like I say, is very important
to me, and I hope you like it.
And if you don't like it,
well, if you don't mind,
I would rather not
hear about it later, okay?
It's a song that I call, Appalachian
Memories.
Please welcome three-time Grammy winner,
Reba McEntire.
Reba McEntire Reba McEntire When we go
north, somebody told us Cause the air is
filled with gold dust And fortune falls
like snowflakes in your hands Now I don't
recall who said it But we'd lived so long
on credit So we headed out to find our
promised land Just bore Appalachian farm
folk With nothing more than high hopes So
we hitched our station wagon to a star But
our dreams all fell in on us Cause there
was no land of promise And it's a struggle
Keep in sight of who you are, and oh these
northern nights are dreary, and my
southern heart is weary, as I wonder how
the old folks are back
home, and I'll keep leaning
on sweet Jesus, and the
hymn of the God in me.
Appalachian memories keep me strong,
you know I've been thinking a whole lot
lately, about what's been and what awaits
me, it takes all I've got to give what
life demands, you'd go insane if you give
in to it, life's of me, and I've been
through it, so I'm just thankful,
I'm creative with my hands.
Oh and these northern nights are dreary,
and my southern eyes are teary,
oh I wonder how the old folks are back
home, but I'll keep leaning on my Jesus,
and the hymn of the God in me.
Appalachian memories keep me strong,
I'll keep looking to the Father,
keep my head above the water.
Appalachian memories keep me strong.

behalf of an extraordinary crew and cast.
We are all grateful for a moment like this
to say thank you to our families,
children, partners, and parents.
Their good cheer and

our greatest resource all along the way.
Thank you, HBO, for the kind and
intelligent guidance.
And on behalf of the 175

we are all grateful and we
each send our great appreciation.
Thank you.

So, I finally put myself first.
That's the moment I became an after with

Hi.
Catherine O'Hara.
Remember... Remember her
as the forgetful mother, right?
But we'll never forget about her.
There are all kinds of words I could use
to describe Catherine.
She was encouraging.
She was warm.
She was funny.
But the word that I think of is mama.
You know, she wasn't just a wife and
mother to Beau and Matthew and Luke.
She was my mom.
She was our mama.
And by extension, she's all of our mama.
By the way, call your mother tonight.
For real.
But, um...
Yeah, right?
Give it to moms.
But like a good mama, man.
She always showed up when I asked her to.
Because that was Catherine.
That's what she did.
She showed up.
And this is the best that we can do for
her tonight.
We're showing up for her.
So, uh, she may have forgotten me.
Twice.
But we will always remember her.
Thank you.
Catherine's laugh was a perpetual yes and.
It challenged anyone who heard it to join
in and be as delighted as she was.
And she spread that delight everywhere.
After we lost Catherine, I was passed a
note on an Air Canada flight.
That said, she was so special.
I hope you're doing okay.
On a drive up north, I was hugged by an
extremely gruff-looking
gas station attendant.
Who was also grieving her loss.
While buying wine at the LCBO, I was
treated to a very lively Catherine mashup.
Which was a woman saying, Oh David,
where's the baby?
While doing what I can
only assume was, Her, was
Catherine's exquisite
hobble from Best in Show.
These are only a very few of the
interactions I've been lucky enough to have.
That remind me how profoundly Catherine
has impacted the world.
And it's because she brought us joy.
The greatest lesson I
learned from Catherine, both
professionally and personally,
was to always say yes.
Say yes to her instincts.
All of them.
As radical as they may sometimes seem.
She is miles ahead of you.
And you will learn to catch up.
Say yes to helping her build a TV
character over the age of 60.
That wears leather mini skirts and eight
inch heels.
And speaks in a strange, sometimes
unintelligible, transatlantic accent.
And know that she will not scare an
audience away.
Say yes to that rewrite.
She emails you, sometimes the night
before.
Dear Dan, some thoughts.
It will always improve the story.
Say yes to the concept of a wig wall.
Say yes to her asking to wear a wig as a
hat.
Say yes to her naming that wig.
Say yes to giving her space to experiment
and create.
It will amaze you on a daily basis.
And it will change your life.
Say yes to her dinner invites.
And her stories.
And her wisdom.
And her generosity.
Those are the things you will hold on to
the tightest.
Always say yes to any opportunity to revel
in the presence of greatness.
Tonight, alongside Noah Khan, we honor all
of the industry
greatness we lost this year.
When you're weary.
Feeling small.
When tears are in your eyes.
I will dry them all.
I'm on your side.
When times get rough.
And friends just can't be found.
Like a bridge over troubled water.
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water.
I will lay me down.
When you're down and out.
When you're on the street.
When evening falls.
So hard.
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When times get rough, and pain is all
around, Like a bridge over troubled water,
You will lay me down, Like a bridge over
troubled water, I will lay me down,
All around, Like a bridge over
troubled water, I will lay me
down, Like a bridge over
troubled water, I will lay me down.
Please welcome Jamie Lee Curtis.
So for over a thousand episodes of
television, the great James Burroughs set
a standard of comedy
directing that will be
cherished and studied
for generations to come.
And sadly last year, we lost another
cherished legend, our beloved meathead,
Rob Reiner.
Last week, Robbie won an
Emmy for guest actor in a
comedy series for his
beautiful work on The Bear.
And he now holds the record of 48 years
for the longest gap between acting Emmys,
which was previously held by his father,
Carl Reiner, at 37 years.
He was generous and kind and funny as
hell.
And a friend to all.
And we all miss Rob and Michelle.
And all those we lost this year.

I love you, Lois.
A whole family full of cops.
We're all government agents.
Doing the Lord's work.
Amen.
The assassin is still out there.
We have to find him.
Gotcha.
Nothing like a little murder.

Final Fire, next Monday on BBC and

Let us begin.
Surprise!
Really good friends.
Our favorite dishes.
New connections.
A sprinkle of murder.
These nice people killing each other.
I love it.
Like so many of us, I grew up wanting to
be the characters that I saw on TV.
I wanted to be Speed Racer.
I wanted to be Wonder Woman.
And of course, as I got older,
I had to come to terms with the fact that
I would simply never have the figure to
play Columbo.
In 1976, the world was introduced to
Charlie's Angels.
Three beautiful, bad-ass secret agents who
broke the mold one mission at a time.
I was obsessed.
And so was the world.
Celebrating the 50th
anniversary of their debut
season, please welcome
the cast of Charlie's Angels.
Jacqueline Smith, Cheryl Ladd,
and three-time Emmy nominee Kate Jackson.
Sit down.
Sit down, please.
Oh, how warm and wonderful that is.
Yeah.
Hi, everybody.
It's an honor to be here tonight to
present the Emmy for Drama Series.
And to celebrate the 50th anniversary of
Charlie's Angels.
And I would like to acknowledge someone
not standing with us tonight.
And that's my friend Farrah Fawcett.
As I've said many times, Charisma doesn't
need a second season.
She's here.
And she's here with us in everyone's
collective memory.
Farrah was the shiniest angel of all.
And she was loved by millions of people
all over the world.
And she still is today.
And they'll never forget her.
And neither will we.
And I'm sure you won't either.
And her iconic poster lives in the mines.
And it goes... The visages of many a man.
Here are the nominees for Drama Series.
The Diplomat.
You used me to sell a lie to the Prime
Minister.
When the Brits find out, they will
consider this an act of war.
The Gilded Age.
I just want what's best for us all.
I must confess, being so near death has
rather changed my perspective on that.
A Night at the Seven Kingdoms.
The night defends the innocent.
That's all I did.
I was not Sir Erland's blood.
But I have followed his example.
Paradise.
That's my wife.
I came a long way to find her.
And I need to know that she's okay.
The Pit.
They've been doing this longer than I
have.
They provide resources, assistance,
and support for sexual assault survivors.
Hey.
Guess we'll have to find you, okay?
Pluribus.
You know my name.
You know Helen's name.
You are talking to me from my TV.
Slow horses.
You don't want me here and I don't want to
be here.
You can leave anytime you want.
That's the whole point of Slower House.
Not sure how you missed that.
Your friends and neighbors.
I'm still at 200 grand.
Yeah.
Here's 150.
Give me another week, I'll get you the
rest.
How are you going to do that?
Are you going to rob somebody else?
And the Emmy goes to...
The Pit.
The Pit leads all programs
this year with 25 Emmy
nominations, bringing its
series total to 38 nominations.
Accepting the Emmy on behalf of the team
is R.
Scott Gemmell.
Yeah, apparently there's a lot of us.
R.
Scott Gemmell.
Thank you my dear.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you, this is... we are so grateful
and so humbled to be here amongst all of
the nominees, not just in our category,
in all the categories, as well as our
colleagues from last weekend's Creative
Arts celebrations.
We are just so grateful to be in this
business.
It takes hundreds of people to put on a TV
show, as you well know.
And we are so blessed to have the most
talented and passionate cast and crew.
And I know it's not just our show.
I know your shows are the same.
You feel the same way about your people.
Because we are so blessed to live in this
community where we have... the best part
of this job is the people we get to work
with every day.
We've always tried to
be really authentic and tell
stories about the real life
heroes of the emergency.
The department who are there for us day
in, day out.
And we just want to, you know,
shine the light on them.
Yes, their stories can be
frustrating and heartbreaking,
but they also can be so
inspirational and healing.
And yes, we are entertainers.
We make you laugh, we make you cry.
Occasionally we make you look away in
disgust.
But when I look around this room, I see
something more important than the awards.
The awards and the ratings,
I see a whole community
that is still trying
to do the right thing.
It is so hard to tell what is real and
what we can believe anymore.
Which makes telling
honest stories about real
human struggles so much
more important than ever.
What you do is, it changes people's lives.
And I am just so happy that
we get to do that because
it is so difficult to know
what to believe anymore.
And so, when the last bastion of reality
is our shared collective fiction,
that makes what you do so much more
important.
People need to know the truth
and we need to continue to tell
them that in whatever way we
can, in whatever form we can.
Because at the end of the day,
I think, sometimes it is only the story.
The storytelling that allows us to
understand and appreciate each other.
And that is more important than ever.
So, keep doing what you are doing.
Coming up next, Matthew
McConaughey and Woody
Harrelson present the
final award of the night.
Comedy Series.
I was hired to help Verity write.
Verity had a car accident.
She will never walk or talk again.
Oh my God.
You have to spend some time at the house.
She was standing right there.
She can't walk.
Verity is a master at manipulating the
truth.
Warning.
Darkness ahead.
Verity.

Good evening, everybody.
Yes.
Favorite flavor of vape.
That's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
Everybody.
Emmy winner, Woody Harrelson here.
Oscar winner, Matthew McConaughey.
Thank you.
Oscar nominee, Woody Harrelson here.
Which I prefer because, you know,
keeps me hungry.
One of the many things I love about you,
buddy.
So you want to tell me and everybody out
there what we're doing up here tonight?
Okay, we're presenting
here tonight because
we're back on TV for
the first time in 12 years.
Yeah.
Yeah, we got a little show called
Brothers.
It'll be on Apple TV next week.
It felt like moderate enthusiasm.
It's fine.
It's late.
And this all started with a crazy rumor
from your mom.
My mom started a lot of crazy rumors.
What did she say about this one?
Like you don't remember?
Right.
Yeah.
She told me after her fourth toke and her
fifth Kendall Jackson
that she knew my father.
Yeah.
Wow.
You've had many tokes with my mom before.
Anyway, that's cool.
But they just met.
So what's the big deal?
So what?
No.
She said she knew my father.
Right, right, right.
Lipsies.
What are you reading into that?
It feels pretty clear to me, dude.
Dude.
People meet.
All right?
People know each other.
I know lots of people.
Doesn't mean I've slept with all of them.
Yeah.
Well, the emphasis was on knew.
Like she knew.
Like they were doing it.
Like they were doing the horizontal bebop.
All right.
That's a pretty big leap
for you to believe that
your dad and my mom
actually shagged, buddy.
Well, no.
I don't think so.
The way she said knew definitely
meant they conceived you... Right.
...together.
Okay.
And that's what you're
saying is your proof
and the reason you know this to be true.
Time's still a flat circle for you,
ain't it?
Just as flat.
Just a little more round, bud.
Dude, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you
your mom wasn't a virgin.
Actually, Wood, it's impossible
technically for any mom to be a virgin.
Mary.
Oh, okay.
Now we're gonna talk about some immaculate
conception.
You wanna get on with why we're really
here now?
Yeah.
Why not?
They told us we need to spend more time up
here, that the show's going short.
Well, are we gonna read off...
Read the nominees for best comedy?
Yeah.
I have a good idea, brother.
Let's do that.
Here are the nominees for comedy series.
Abbott Elementary.
Sloppy Joes.
Our kids take pictures after lunch.
Yeah, I can't have more Sloppy Joes.
They don't have the hand-eye coordination
to pull off a clean Joe.
Yeah.
The Bear.
This is playing 1,440 hours.
Anybody know how long that is?
Three months.
Two months.
I don't know what you're worse at,
math or calling people back.
Hacks.
The worst part about dying is I can't even
enjoy being bone-thin.
Margot's Got Money Troubles.
Girls, have you seen Bodhi's Boogie
Boogie?
Nobody Wants This.
Baths are fun.
Baths are intimate.
Why don't you come lay with me on the couch
and I'll show you my TikTok algorithm?
Widow's Bay received 19 nominations this
year, capping off its remarkable Emmy
debut with the biggest prize of the night
comedy series.
A total of six Emmys tonight,
also including supporting
actors, supporting actor, lead
actor, writing and directing.
The Emmy goes to... I
love this group so much.
Thank you.
First of all, this is incredible.
We love all these other shows so much.
I mean, every other show is amazing.
Just personally, I have to quickly thank
my mom for always making Halloween fun.
And also, this group,
this was such a great
collaboration of the best
wonderful weirdos and artists.
These writers, these producers,
these amazing actors, these directors.
Hero, thank you again.
God, the editors.
I'm going to name everyone.
The cinematographer.
It's a wonderful group.
Thank you, Apple, for letting us take this
crazy creative swing.
They truly just let us do this weird show.
And we can't thank you enough.
So, thank you so much.
And thank you to the Academy.
And we'd also like
to thank the evil entity
on the island that
trusted us with its story.
Okay, serve the punch now.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much to the Television
Academy.
To all the nominees and to every TV
viewer.
It's been an absolute delight to be your
host.
Thank you for all the love and all the joy
tonight.
I had high hopes that this would be a
beautiful night.
But I just never knew that it could feel
this incredibly meaningful and joyful.
To celebrate with all of you.
