The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration (2022) Movie Script

[bells jingling]
[instrumental music]
[instrumental music]
[snapping]
Welcome to
the "Wonderful World of Disney
Magical Holiday Celebration"!
I'm Derek Hough.
We're gonna kick things off.
Are you ready?
'Cause this is gonna be
such a night.
Tonight,
oh, what a night
It's gonna really be
such a night
Let the sleigh bells ring
as we start to sing
And the Christmas tree
shining bright
Oh, the night is alive
with the stars above
Oh, it's Christmas at Disney
We're gonna have some fun
Here we go!
[instrumental music]
We're here, here, here
Come on,
let's cheer, cheer, cheer
It's that time, time, time
Of the year, year, year
But before that dawn hits,
before that dawn hits
Before that dawn,
ooh, oh
Oh, it's gonna be
Such a niiiiight
[instrumental music]
Raindrops on roses
and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles
and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages
tied up with strings
These are a few
of my favorite things
[instrumental music]
Girls in white dresses
with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay
on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters
that melt into spring
These are a few
of my favorite things
When the dog bites,
when the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember
my favorite things
And then I don't feel
so baaaaaad
Raindrops on roses
Raindrops on roses
R-R-R-Raindrops on roses
[instrumental music]
Raindrops on roses
Raindrops on roses
R-R-R-Raindrops on roses
[instrumental music]
I simply remember
my favorite things
And then I don't feel
So baaaaaaaad
[Black Eyed Peas
"I Gotta Feeling" plays]
Hey, Jules, you know what some
of my favorite things are?
What are
your favorite things, D?
Tonight's lineup.
I got a feeling
[cheers and applause]
That tonight's gonna be
a good night
That tonight's gonna be
a good night
That tonight's gonna be
a good, good night
Tonight's the night,
let's live it up
I got my money,
let's spend it up
Let's paint the town,
we'll shut it down
Let's burn the roof
Let's do it, let's do it,
let's do it, do it, do it
[instrumental music]
We wish you
a Merry Christmas
We wish you
a Merry Christmas
We wish you
a Merry Christmas
And a Haaaaa-ppy
New Year
[Drumming,
"Jingle Bells" plays]
It's Christmas at Disney
[cheers and applause]
Whoo!
Hey, hey, hey!
Whoo-hoo-hoo!
That was so much fun!
-Oh, my gosh!
-Oh, my gosh, Derek.
I want to do it again.
Is that okay? Please?
What, again?
Well, Julianne,
it was definitely
the perfect way
to kick off the holidays,
but we've got
a lot of show to get to,
so let's get to it.
All right. All right.
You're right.
Welcome, everyone, to the
"Wonderful World of Disney
Magical Holiday Celebration,"
coming to you from Walt Disney
World Resort in Florida!
Now, hosting this wonderful show
has become
a real Hough family tradition,
and we are so lucky
that you invite us
into your homes
to celebrate
this very special time.
And it just gets more
holiday-tastic every year.
Hmm.
Not an actual word,
but I like it
and I totally agree.
All right, well, there is
nothing like celebrating
the holidays
at Disney Parks.
The sights, the sounds,
the cookies.
-The cookies. Mmm!
-Mmm!
But right now,
we're ringing in the holidays
in the best way with
the biggest stars who are here
and at Disneyland Resort
in California,
ready to hit the stage
and perform
your favorite holiday classics.
Plus, we've got
some sneak peeks
that you're not gonna
want to miss.
It really is
holiday-tastic!
-See? It's a great word.
-It is.
Holiday-tastic.
Let's make it a thing.
So let's kick things off
with a performance
by one of the brightest lights
in the world of country music.
She's a chart-topping
singer/songwriter
and has won several awards,
including a Grammy,
an American Music Award,
and five Country Music Awards.
And she's right here
on the Cinderella Castle stage.
So let's make some noise
right now.
Performing "Rockin' Around
the Christmas Tree,"
here is the one and only
Maren Morris.
[cheers and applause]
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung
where you can see
Every couple tries to stop
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas spirit
ring
Later we'll have
some pumpkin pie
And we'll do some caroling
You will get a sentimental
feeling when you hear
Voices singing,
let's be jolly
Deck the halls
with boughs of holly
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dancin' merrily
In the new old-fashioned way
[instrumental music]
You will get a sentimental
feeling when you hear
Voices singing,
let's be jolly
Deck the halls
with boughs of holly
Rockin' around
the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dancin' merrily
In the new old-fashioned
waaaaay
Yeah, yeah!
Happy holiday!
[cheers and applause]
Give it up for Maren,
ladies and gentlemen!
That was amazing.
That was amazing.
-Thank you.
-Thank you for that.
Listen,
so I have a question.
What were some
of your traditions
growing up
for the holidays?
So I'm originally
from Texas,
so we would sometimes get
hot Christmases
like they do sometimes
here in Orlando.
But, no, I grew up with
a lot of family traditions.
We would always do
the big present-opening
Christmas morning,
super, super early.
You got the matching pajamas,
the whole thing, right?
Yeah, we did that.
That's now transitioned
into my family.
I have my son here
and, yeah, my husband.
I don't know if he loves
the matching PJs, but...
I love it! Well, actually, that
leads me to my next question.
How is it to be here
at Walt Disney World
for the holidays?
I think that this is
the new tradition.
I think we set the bar
too high.
[laughs] Yeah.
It's kinda magical, right?
It's kinda great.
I mean, you went around
the parks today, right?
You enjoyed it
with your son and --
-Yeah.
-That's amazing.
This has been a really
beautiful year, so...
It has been.
Absolutely.
Well, thank you again so much.
Thank you.
Give it up for Maren one more
time, ladies and gentlemen.
Thank you.
Thank you, Derek.
Well, all you Maren Morris fans,
make sure you tune in
to the "CMA Country Christmas"
Thursday, December 8th,
right here on ABC.
We've got more Disney
holiday magic coming up.
[cheers and applause]
[announcer]
It's officially the holidays,
so let's get it started.
Black Eyed Peas are here
and ready to rock the stage.
Becky G, Jordin Sparks,
David Foster,
and Katharine McPhee
are sending season's greetings
with next-level performances.
And Meghan Trainor is joining
this nonstop party
all the way from Disneyland
Resort in California.
Plus, hi-hop icons Run-D.M.C.
bring their Christmas classic
to The Most Magical
Place on Earth.
And of course, we have
sneak peaks and surprises
in store.
It's the
"Wonderful World of Disney
Magical Holiday Celebration."
[bells jingling]
Happy holidays to all of you
from the cast
of Disney's "Disenchanted."
-Robert!
-Oh!
After making Disney's
"Enchanted" all those years ago,
there isn't a day
that goes by
that someone hasn't asked me
about a sequel.
-Really? Every day.
-More or less.
Well, you're in luck.
Our new film "Disenchanted"
is out now on Disney+.
And we're so excited to finally
share it with all of you.
-Happy holidays.
-Happy holidays.
Wait, like, really?
Every day?
Every day.
Sometimes twice a day.
Welcome back.
The holidays
at Disney Parks
can't come soon enough
in our family.
You just have to take
a mental snapshot
of every wonderful moment
so you can just enjoy it
all year-round.
-A mental snapshot?
-[mimics camera click]
-I like that.
-Yes.
Now let's keep
this holiday party going.
Our next performer
always makes the holiday special
when she performs
right here.
She's a singer, actress
and a five-time
Latin Grammy
award-winning artist.
And she's won the hearts
of her 34 million
Instagram followers.
Singing
"Frosty the Snowman,"
it's the wonderful
Becky G.
[cheers and applause]
[instrumental music]
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Look at Frosty go
[instrumental music]
Frosty the Snowman
was a jolly, happy soul
With a corn cob pipe
and a button nose
And two eyes
made out of coal
Frosty the Snowman
is a fairy tale, they say
He was made of snow,
but the children know
How he came to life one day
There must have been
some magic
In that old top hat
they found
For when they placed it
on his head
He began to dance around
Frosty the Snowman
was alive as he could be
And the children say
he could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me
Let's go
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Hey!
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Okay!
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Let me hear you make some noise!
Icy
Let's go
Frosty the Snowman
had to hurry on his way
But he waved good-bye, saying,
don't you cry
I'll be back again someday
Frosty the Snowman
Hey, yeah
Was a shiny, happy soul
Frosty the Snowman
with two eyes made out of coal
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Look at Frosty go
Thumpity-thump-thump,
thumpity-thump-thump
Shiny, happy soul
Do you wanna build
a snowman?
[cheers and applause]
Happy holidays!
Y Feliz Navidad!
[cheers and applause]
Whoo! Now that's how
you ring in the holidays.
-Becky G style.
-Whoo!
Absolutely.
Great job, Becky!
All right, well,
we've got lots more
holiday magic coming up.
And more Becky G,
so don't go away.
[cheers and applause]
Coming up after the break,
it's me, Jordin Sparks.
Stay right there.
[announcer] This holiday
celebration is just heating up,
with more performances,
a special sneak peek
of the new "Tron" attraction.
Ne-Yo is getting ready
to put his spin
on a Christmas classic.
And a long-awaited special
appearance from Run-D.M.C.,
coming up.
[instrumental music]
[bells jingling]
Happy holidays
from my family to yours.
Feliz Navidad desde
mi familia a la tuya.
Buon Natale.
Happy holidays!
We're the cast of "National
Treasure: Edge of History."
Celebrate the wonder
of the holidays this season
with the gift
of adventure, mystery,
and maybe even
a little romance.
Happy holidays!
Welcome back!
I can't think of a better way
to ring in the holidays
than with you, big brother.
-Aw, thanks, babe.
-And all of you at home.
Absolutely, Julianne.
And right now, things are about
to get even more holiday-tastic.
-You did it again.
-It's back.
Let's head over
to New Orleans Square
at Disneyland Resort
for a performance
from an amazing singer.
Her star first rocketed
into the stratosphere
when she became
the youngest person
to win "American Idol"
in 2007.
Now she's a multi-platinum
recording artist and actress.
Singing "Trapmas Medley,"
here is the incomparable
Jordin Sparks.
-[cheers and applause]
-Hey!
[instrumental music]
Ooohhhh
[laughs]
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing
o'er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
o-o-o-o-o-oria
In Excelsis Deo
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
o-o-o-o-o-oria
In Excelsis Deo
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth
the angels sing
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord,
the newborn King
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
o-o-o-o-o-oria
In Excelsis Deo
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
o-o-o-o-o-oria
In Excelsis Deo
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Let's switch up the pace
Jing-a-ling-a-ling
Oh, what fun it is to fly
On a PJ to MIA, hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Lots of cash and change
Oh, what fun it is to drive
In a Maybach through L.A.
Through L.A., through L.A.
Through L.A., hey, hey, hey
Joy to the world
The Lord is come
Let Earth receive her king
Let every heart
Prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven, and heaven,
and nature sing
Joy to the world
We need more love
It starts with you and me
If you want a change
Be what you see
And live in harmony
And live in harmony
And that's when, that's when
we'll all be free
Yeahhhhh
Joy to the world,
joy to the world.
Joy to the world,
every boy and girl
Joy to the world,
joy to the world
Joy
Hey
Joy, joy
Joy to the world!
Joy, joy
Hey
Joy, joy, joy
Happy holidays, everyone.
[instrumental music]
I'm adding that
to my Christmas playlist.
Whoo!
I love Jordin Sparks.
She is so talented.
Okay, I've got
some really exciting news.
They're gonna let me ride
with Santa on the float
in the Christmas
Fantasy Parade?
No. [laughs]
But keep writing
those letters to him.
It might work.
You never know.
But, no, I'm actually
talking about
the exciting new attraction
coming to Tomorrowland
here at Walt Disney World Resort
opening this spring.
You're talking about
Tron Lightcycle Run,
one of the fastest coasters
at any Disney Park in the world.
I am indeed.
And we've got a special
sneak peek, so take a look.
[instrumental music]
[Beatty] When "Tron" first
opened, the very first film,
there was nothing like it.
It was groundbreaking
in so many ways.
It truly was ahead of its time.
Years later,
"Tron: Legacy" came out,
and it reminded all of us
how incredible that world was.
This attraction is sort of
a sequel to "Tron: Legacy."
We're expanding that world.
We're expanding that story.
And for Tomorrowland
here at the Magic Kingdom,
there's no better experience
to bring to life than "Tron."
So we're actually standing
at the second one.
The first one opened
at Shanghai Disneyland.
As we arrive, this incredible
venue that you see behind me,
you'll hear the music
for the first time,
you see the coaster
shooting around the track.
It really builds
that excitement.
But then we take you
into the digitizing room,
where we scan you down
and we turn you into
a digital version of yourself
as you enter into the grid
for this incredible race.
Tron Lightcycle Run will be
one of the fastest coasters
here at Walt Disney World.
Even though it's high-speed,
it's fun and it's thrilling,
we want to make sure
guests of all ages
have the opportunity
to experience this ride.
Unlike a traditional
roller coaster,
you're actually gonna sit
on the lightcycle
down in that really cool
prone position.
So you have that same feel,
you get the same energy,
you have the same emotion
that you would have
as if you were really
in the film.
I think if you're a fan,
it's gonna check every box.
And if you're new to this story,
it's gonna be
a whole introduction
to an incredible new world.
It's exciting.
[instrumental music]
Man, I'm gonna be
the first in line
when that opens
this spring.
And since The Most Magical
Place on Earth is celebrating
its 50th anniversary
through March 31st, 2023,
it's just one more reason
to make our way back
next year, right?
As if we need a reason,
right?
[Laughs]
True. True.
But there are so many reasons
why you should stick around.
The "Wonderful World of Disney
Magical Holiday Celebration"
will be right back.
What's going on, everybody?
This is Ne-Yo wishing
each and every one of you
a happy holidays.
I'mma be bringing
some holiday magic to the stage
when we come back.
[announcer]
The holidays have just begun,
and there are more
magical performances on the way
with Run-D.M.C.
and Black Eyed Peas.
Plus, we're taking a trip
to Disneyland Resort
for a special treat
from superstar Meghan Trainor.
[instrumental music]
[bells jingling]
Happy holidays.
Wishing you a beautiful season.
Don't miss my gift to you,
my farewell concert,
"Elton John Live:
Farewell from Dodger Stadium,"
now streaming only on Disney+.
[cheers and applause]
This is the time to embrace
the spirit of giving.
It's really what the holidays
are all about.
The great tradition
of the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive
supporting Toys for Tots
does exactly that.
It's our chance to make
the holidays special
by giving to children
and families who need it most.
Here's how you can help.
Donate a toy to Toys for Tots
now through December 24th
by visiting shopdisney.com.
Let's make the holidays
special for everyone.
And we're about to do just that
with some more holiday music.
Our next performer is
a Grammy Award-winning singer,
songwriter, and producer.
He's a hitmaker, an actor,
and now he can add
Christmas crooner to that list.
Please welcome
the incredible Ne-Yo.
[cheers and applause]
Oooh, oooh, oooh,
oooh, oooh, oooh
Ooooh, oooh, oooh
Oooh
Chestnuts roasting
on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping
at your nose
And Yuletide carols
being sung by a choir
And folks dressed
like Eskimos
Oh, everybody knows
a turkey and some mistletoe
Helps to make
the season bright, yeah
Season bright
Tiny tots
with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard
to sleep tonight
They know that
Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys
and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child
is gonna spy
To see if reindeer
really know how to fly
And so I'm offering
this simple phrase
To kids from 1 to 92
92
Although it's been said
many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
Oooh
Santa's on his way
He's bringing lots of toys
and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child
is gonna spy
To see if reindeer
really know how to fly-y-y
And so I'm offering
this simple phrase
Ooh, to kids from 1 to 92
92
Ooh
Although it's been said
many times, many ways
Merry Christmas,
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you
[cheers and applause]
Happy holidays.
All right, that was amazing,
and listen,
we're gonna catch Ne-Yo
a little later on
for a very special performance,
but right now
I am with the iconic,
the legendary Black Eyed Peas.
-Peas!
-That's right. Yes!
Well, well, we did not
rehearse that, by the way.
That was unbelievable.
Listen, guys, first of all,
what have the Black Eyed Peas
been up to?
Oh, chilling. You know, we did
an awesome summer tour
this year in Europe.
We got a new record
that came out November 11th
called "ELEVATION."
The record is smashin'.
You gotta check it out.
Man, I cannot wait for...
What does it mean to you guys right now
to be performing here at Walt Disney World
during the holidays?
Well, it's an honor, man.
I'm an original cast member.
-What?
-'94, '95, yes.
When we first started
Black Eyed Peas,
I was working at Disneyland
during the day.
And then pursuing my dreams.
with my brothers.
Look where we are.
And I got to visit here
before I was adopted
from the Philippines,
and the first place I went to
was Disneyland,
and I asked my dad
to adopt me after that,
so that's --
Disneyland every day.
Yeah!
Happiest Place on Earth.
That's a great story.
So are there any traditions,
or do you guys have any plans
for the holidays coming up?
I make tamales for Christmas
for my family, so vegan tamales.
It's always about family time
during Christmas holidays.
It's always good to be able
to spend time with family.
I actually brought my wife
and my kids
to enjoy the park tonight.
Yes!
And this is my first time
at Disney World.
-Look at this love. Is it really?
-Yeah.
We gotta go.
We got to go ride some rides.
We're gonna be right back,
but when we do,
Black Eyed Peas are
gonna be
taking this party
to the next level.
You don't want to miss it.
[announcer] Our holiday party
is in full swing.
And it's only getting better,
with a performance
of a Christmas classic
from David Foster
and Katharine McPhee.
And a look at the movie event
of the year,
"Avatar: The Way of Water."
[instrumental music]
[bells jingling]
Happy holidays
from the entire cast
of "Disney's Strange World."
Have you been
craving adventure?
I want you to come with me
on an expedition.
Do you love
family road trips?
What kind of airship is that?
[Union] What better way
to celebrate the holiday
than journeying
into an unknown land?
This place is amazing.
-Grab your family.
-[screaming]
Your friends.
Come on!
We got a world to save.
Your Splat?
[screams]
And go check out
"Strange World,"
now playing in theaters.
[cheers and applause]
Welcome back. You know, Jules,
I've been thinking about it,
and sometimes life gets so
hectic, especially these days,
and I know we all have
a lot going on,
and I just want to say
I'm so grateful that we get
to spend the holidays
together every single year.
Aw, D-man! Aw!
Well, I don't take this holiday
tradition for granted either.
And I love that we get
to share it with all of you.
And one of the other things
I love about hosting this show
is that we get to meet
the most amazing people,
like Ethan Hill,
a truly inspiring young man.
Besides being a great student
and an awesome big brother,
He is also a champion
for the homeless
in his hometown
of Birmingham, Alabama.
And did I mention?
He's 12.
Take a look.
My name is Ethan Hill,
I'm 12 years old
and I'm the founder
of Ethan's Heart Bags4Blessings.
Six years ago,
I saw this gentleman
outside every day
on the way to school.
I really was wondering
why he was out there
and what I could do to help him.
We started
with survival buckets,
and after that
went to duffel bags.
Now we have our trailer
out there.
So this is my free mobile
store and educational unit.
The homeless people
can come in here
and really shop for the things
that what they need,
free of charge, of course.
This also restores
the dignity of the people.
Letting them come in here
really just gives them
a sense of freedom again.
[instrumental music]
[David]
Ethan meets no strangers,
and people receive him well
everywhere he goes.
-Are you Ethan?
-Yes.
Nice to meet you,
young man.
There's something special
about this little guy.
And a blanket, please.
To see a young man
do something like this,
it reaffirms my faith
in humanity.
-You need soap?
-Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
-Need some water, too?
-Oh, yeah, I need some water.
Man, for what you did for me,
man, appreciate that.
[Ebony] Ethan, even when he does
something grand,
his thing is, "Okay, now what?
How can I make this bigger?"
What's up, y'all?
Today we're gonna have
one of our smaller events.
It's gonna be like
a little packing party,
and also just starting
to educate.
[boy] This is pretty cool
because you don't see a lot
of kid entrepreneurs
doing things like this.
It does give me inspiration,
a lot of inspiration.
Every day is a day to help
someone in need.
That's what I tell people
on the streets.
That's what I tell people
in school.
That's what I live by,
pretty much.
[instrumental music]
We're here at church,
where we are every Sunday.
But today's special because
they're celebrating Ethan.
He has no idea he's going
to Walt Disney World.
Mr. Ethan,
we have a surprise just for you.
Because of all you have done
and continue to do in our city,
because of your passion to serve
and your compassion for people,
Disney Parks would like to
invite you and your family
to Walt Disney World Resort
to celebrate the holidays!
Come on, somebody!
Amen to God!
Give it up for Ethan!
I'm very excited and surprised.
I did not know
this was gonna happen.
I can't wait to go.
We're going
to Walt Disney World!
We goin'
to Walt Disney World.
[instrumental music]
We're at Disney World.
We're at Epcot
at the Guardians of the Galaxy:
Cosmic Rewind ride.
We was shooting back
and shooting forward
and going all around.
Best roller coaster ever!
[instrumental music]
That was amazing!
All right!
-Here we go!
-Here we go!
[screaming]
I can do that one again.
That was fun.
We were on the Slinky ride.
"Fantasmic!" was one of the best
Disney shows I've ever seen.
The lights, the fire, and all
the theatrics was pretty great.
[boy exclaims indistinctly]
Just to see the smiles
on both their faces have been
absolutely amazing.
I can really understand
why it's called
The Most Magical
Place on Earth.
10 out of 10,
must recommend.
[laughs]
Ah! That was so inspiring.
And I'm actually here right now
with the Hill family.
Mom, dad, you must be
so proud of your son.
We are so proud of him,
and it's an absolute joy
to be his parent.
And, Ethan, what do you have
planned for the future?
My plans for the future
are to just continuing
to get better
with my schoolwork,
Ethan's Heart,
improving the services
that I provide for the people
and keeping meeting their needs.
You're so wonderful.
We could all take a page
from your book right now.
And so, now that you're here
at Walt Disney World,
what is your favorite
attraction?
So, since being here
this week,
my favorite attraction
has been
the new Guardians of the Galaxy:
Cosmic Rewind ride.
Whoo!
I feel the same way.
Whoo!
What about you?
Do you have
a favorite attraction?
"Ratatouille."
-Ah!
-[Crowd "Aw"s]
Well, I think I might have just
switched my favorite attraction.
[laughs]
That was perfection.
Well, thank you
so much for sharing.
And Ethan, again, thank you
for all that you're doing.
You are such
an inspiration.
Okay, we've got a performance
from a group who has sold
over 50 million albums
and taken home six Grammys,
cementing their status
as a worldwide sensation.
And their message
of peace and love
has reached every corner
of the planet.
Here are Black Eyed Peas.
[cheers and applause]

We love you, Disney!
[announcer]
We keep ringing in the holidays
with music from Meghan Trainor,
Black Eyed Peas
return to the stage,
and hip-hop icons Run-D.M.C.
are still on the way.
[instrumental music]
[bells jingling]
Hey, guys,
this is Kevin and Britt
from "Rookie: Feds."
We just wanted to wish you all
a happy holidays.
Hi, guys.
Cierra Ramirez here
from Freeform's "Good Trouble,"
wishing you and yours a happy
holiday from me and mine.
I'm Israel Johnson, and I
just want to say happy holidays.
Since 1923, Disney has been
a part of our lives
and for generations has been
inspiring us to dream big.
Their stories and characters
have truly given us
a sense of wonder.
Take a look.
[woman]
Wonder is magic.
The way it dances
into your bones,
feeds your soul,
and then comes up for air
in the stars above.
[instrumental music]
It's amazingly beautiful,
yet so simply understood,
shared across generations,
across time,
across this whole
wondrous world.
Bursts of laughter.
Wide-eyed amazement.
Heart-stirring enchantment.
These things unite us,
elevate us,
and pull us together
in a way nothing else can,
because if we continue to
surround ourselves with wonder,
we will always find each other.
["When You Wish Upon a Star"
plays]
[instrumental music]
[Disney] I only hope that we
never lose sight of one thing.
That it was all started by a mouse.
Wow! I literally have goose bumps.
That was amazing.
Disney has touched
every part of our lives.
And you know what?
I was thinking about it,
and my moment of wonder
is when we were kids.
And I remember we used to
watch "The Lion King"
and kind of fight over
who was gonna be Simba and sing
"I Just Can't Wait
to Be King."
[laughing]
And you always won.
Of course I won.
I was the older brother.
But I just remember, you know,
as a kid watching that with you,
and it was something
that we got to share together.
We were singing.
We were dancing.
And it just was one of
the most, I don't know...
Most memorable,
most wondrous moments
of my, like,
memories from Disney.
That... That's
a pretty good one.
You know what?
For me, my moment of wonder
is actually "Aladdin."
And I would cheat,
like the couch was
like the buildings,
and I was like, "One jump."
-You know, and jumping around.
-Oh, yeah.
And jumping, doing, like,
rolls and turns
and singing the song.
It was the first song I think
I learned all the lyrics to,
and I still don't know
lyrics to any other song
except for that song.
That's a true story.
I'm not even kidding you.
I actually remember that
very vividly,
you doing that.
Yes.
And I think that's... [laughs]
I think that's why I wanted...
I, like, wanted to claim
"Lion King," but, you know.
Yeah, hey, well,
you know what?
-There you go.
-I know.
I cannot wait to see
what incredible stories
and characters they're going
to bring us next.
We are ready to celebrate
Disney 100 Years of Wonder.
And that's exactly
what we're going to do.
The yearlong celebration
kicks off
on "Dick Clark's
New Year's Rockin' Eve,"
right here on ABC.
Whoo! So exciting.
Okay. Right now let's get back
to some holiday music
with a global superstar.
She's won several awards
and sold 11 million copies
worldwide
of her debut song,
"All About That Base."
Now she's standing by
in New Orleans Square
in Disneyland Park,
ready to give us
the holiday gift of music
with her viral hit.
So let's head over there
for the one and only
Meghan Trainor.
[cheers and applause]
Here comes Santa Claus,
here comes Santa Claus
Right down Santa Claus Lane
[instrumental music]
I could have my Gucci on
I could wear
my Louis Vuitton
But even with nothin' on,
bet I made you look
I made you look
I'll make you double-take
soon as I walk away
Call up your chiropractor
just in case your neck break
Ooh, ooh
Tell me what you, what you,
what you gon' do, ooh
'Cause I'm 'bout
to make a scene
Double-up that sunscreen
I'm 'bout
to turn the heat up
Gonna make
your glasses steam
Ooh, ooh
Tell me what you, what you,
what you gon' do, ooh
When I do my walk, walk
I can guarantee
your jaw will drop, drop
'Cause they don't make a lot
of what I got, got
Ladies, if you feel me,
this your bop, bop
Bop-bop-bop
I could have my Gucci on
Gucci on
I could wear
my Louis Vuitton
But even with nothin' on
Bet I made you look
I made you look
Yeah, I look good
in my Versace dress
Take it off
But I'm hotter
when my morning hair's a mess
'Cause even
with my hoodie on
Bet I made you look
I made you look
Mm-hmm mm-hmm mm-hmm
And once you get a taste
Whoo
You'll never be the same
This ain't that ordinary,
this that 14-karat cake
Ooh, ooh
Tell me what you, what you,
what you gon' do, do
When I do my walk, walk
I guarantee
your jaw will drop, drop
They don't make a lot of...
What I got
Oh, oh
Oh, I could have my Gucci on
Gucci on
I could wear my...
Louis Vuitton
But even with nothin' on,
bet I made you look
Said I made you look
Yeah, I look good
in my Versace dress
Take it off, baby
But I'm hotter
when my morning hair's a mess
'Cause even with
my hoodie on
Bet I made you look
Said I made you look
All right, that was amazing.
Listen, I can hardly
contain my excitement.
I'm here backstage
with the legendary
Darryl McDaniels and Rev Run,
also known as the hip-hop icons
Run-D.M.C.
-What's up?
-Hey, fellas. How you doing?
-Chilling.
-Doing really good.
It's not your first time
here at Disney,
but it's your first time
on the show.
Are you guys excited
about performing?
-Totally.
-Yeah. It feels like Christmas.
-Yeah.
-Well, 'cause it is Christmas!
-It's Christmas!
-For the kids and presents.
And things in love and joy
and kindness and togetherness.
-And you've written this book here.
-Yes.
I've written a kid's book,
and it's called "Darryl's Dream."
-It's me in the third grade.
-Wow.
It deals with bullying
and believing in yourself
and finding your voice.
I love that, man.
Because children are perfect
just the way they are.
-Yeah.
-Oh, my gosh.
Now, you've just done
"Hip Hop Nutcracker."
-It's on Disney+.
-Yes.
How was that experience?
It just came to me
out of nowhere,
something to sink my teeth in.
I did my rhymes.
They did the hip-hop dancing.
Wow.
And I'm grateful
to be on Disney+.
That's incredible.
Now, I hear
you guys will be performing
a very sort of
a classic Run-D.M.C. --
-Yes.
-Yes.
One of the greatest
Christmas classics ever.
I don't want
to spoil anything.
-No.
-Don't answer.
-I'm dreaming of a...
-It's not "Jingle Bells."
-No, no. Not that one.
-"Silent Night"?
-A big surprise.
-Another one.
Chestnuts roasting on an...
Roasting
-No, not that one either.
-No.
-Let's keep it a secret.
-Let's keep it a secret.
-Let's keep it a secret.
-All right.
Well, listen.
In the meantime,
we're gonna check out
"Hip Hop Nutcracker" right here.
It's streaming
only on Disney+.
So let's check it out.
Peace.
[instrumental music]
Hey,
let's get this thing in motion
Block so hot,
got me full of emotion
Everybody's on the street
Feel the energy
from your head to your feet
So crispy, fresh, faded
Holidays top-notch, upgraded
Turn up for New Year's Eve
Everybody getting ready
It's time to party
It's my block,
I started this function
Back in the day
when hip-hop was pumping
And I don't say this
casually
I love these folks
like family
[album scratching]
[instrumental music]
Old, new
It's something
like the fusion of the two
Tradition with a twist
Modern music don't mess
[instrumental music]
[Bell rings]
It's finally time,
here's your last heads-up
We got the power,
light this whole place up
-[electricity crackles]
-Let's go!
[instrumental music]
I'm Maren Morris.
Stick around, because there's
more holiday magic coming up.
[announcer] We've got more of your
favorite holiday music and something new
when Black Eyed Peas
hit the Cinderella Castle Stage.
Plus, a new twist on a Christmas
classic from Chloe Flower.
[instrumental music]
[instrumental music]
Hi, everyone.
It's Madeleine McGraw from
"Secrets of Sulphur Springs,"
and I just wanted to wish all of you
a very happy holiday season.
Happy holidays to everybody.
[all] We're the Backstreet Boys,
and we want to...
Wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you
a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
and a happy New Year
-Yeah.
-Hey.
-[cheers and applause]
-Okay, so, I have a confession.
I was a huge Backstreet Boys fan
growing up, and...
-[crowd cheering]
-Oh, yeah. You too?
[chuckles]
Well, I still am.
So I'll be glued to the TV
on December 14,
watching
"A Very Backstreet Holiday"
at 8:00 p.m.,
right here on ABC.
But right now,
I want to introduce you
to a truly unique performer.
She's an incredible pianist
who is bridging the gap
between classical and pop music
by combining piano melodies
with hip-hop beats.
We're so lucky to have her here
performing
on our Cinderella Castle Stage,
so make some noise
for Chloe Flower.
[cheers and applause]
["Carol of the Bells" plays]
[instrumental music]
Ding, ring the bells,
ring, hear the bells
Bring out the bells,
Christmas carols
Sing to the bells,
swing to the bells
Bang on the bells,
tell the tale
Christmas is here,
love's in the air
Feel all the cheer
everywhere
All through the day,
all through the night
God is good, all of the time
[instrumental music]
Wishing you
a very merry Christmas
Wishing every day
could feel like Christmas
Bring out with joy,
every child
Every girl, every boy
Bring down the love,
straight from above
Come feel His love,
everyone
Christmas is here,
love's in the air
Feel all the cheer,

-[fireworks exploding]
-[cheers and applause]
[Julianne]
Whoo-whoo-whoo-whoo!
Happy holidays!
-Whoo-hoo!
-[cheers and applause]
Wow! That was
an incredible performance.
-Oh, my goodness! Chloe!
-[crowd cheering]
First of all,
we're so happy that you're here.
Thank you.
And, you know,
I think we all want to know,
how did you decide
to combine pop and classical?
Basically, I love pop music.
I love classical music.
And I thought, why not call it
"popsical" and do both?
-[crowd cheering]
-Right?
Popsical.
Ooh, that sounds good.
Well, by the way,
you have actually produced
some incredible music and songs
for some of the best names
out there in the business,
already doing collaborations
with Cline Dion, 2 Chainz,
I mean, Johnny Mathis,
I mean, just to name a few.
So is there anybody that
you would want to work with now
that you haven't yet begun
to work with?
You know, I've always wanted
to work with Ariana Grande,
whom I know all of you here
are familiar with.
I've always wanted to do
a big ballad with her, you know?
-So...
-I see it happening so clearly.
It's amazing.
Well, that was
absolutely incredible.
Thank you so much
for being here.
Now let's check in with Derek,
who has a pretty
special announcement
for all of you football fans.
[cheers and applause]
Thanks, Jules. And I do have
a pretty cool announcement.
But before I get into that,
can we just take a moment
to acknowledge
all the wonderful details
they've added here at the park
to commemorate
the 50th anniversary
of Walt Disney World.
They have really
outdone themselves. Amazing.
All right. Now I have something
I want to share with all of you
that's near and dear
to my heart.
Our colleagues and friends
at ESPN
have an amazing lineup
of college-football games.
Let's welcome ESPN's
college-football analysts
Rece Davis, David Pollack,
and Joey Galloway.
[cheers and applause]
The 2022 college football
playoff selection show
is on ESPN Sunday, December 4
at noon Eastern time.
And there we will reveal
the top-four teams
in college football
as determined
by the selection committee.
Those teams will face off
in the college-football playoff
semifinal matchups,
the Fiesta and Peach Bowls
December 31 on ESPN.
And the winner of those games
will play
for the national championship
on January 9, 2023 on ESPN.
It's college football,
and you never know
what's gonna happen.
So tune in
and watch it all unfold on ESPN.
[all] Happy Holidays.
[announcer] We keep rocking the holidays
with a performance
from David Foster
and Katharine McPhee.
Plus, Becky G, Chloe Flower,
and Ne-Yo
all together
on the Cinderella Castle Stage.
And a sneak peek at the upcoming
highly anticipated movie
"Avatar: The Way of Water."
[instrumental music]
[instrumental music]
Hello from Wakanda.
This year, we're giving thanks
to all of our fans
for your love and support.
All of us from "Black Panther:
Wakanda Forever"
want to wish you
a very happy holiday.
[cheers and applause]
Welcome back to "The Most
Magical Holiday Celebration."
Nothing says Christmas like
a big, beautiful Christmas tree,
except maybe trying to untangle
that ball
of Christmas-tree lights.
You know what I'm saying?
Gets me every time.
Now, our next performers
make beautiful music together.
He's a legendary 16-time
Grammy winner,
and she's
a chart-topping singer.
And I can see them over there
on the stage,
ready to sing
a Christmas classic for us.
So, performing
"Jingle Bell Rock,"
let's make some noise
for David Foster
and Katharine McPhee.
[cheers and applause]
[instrumental music]
Jingle bell, jingle bell,
jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing
and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up
bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell, jingle bell,
jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime
in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin'
in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time
It's the right time
to rock the night away
Let me hear it.
Jingle bell time
is a swell time
To go glidin'
in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse,
pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle
and a jinglin' beat
That's the jingle bell rock
Hit it, guys!
[instrumental music]
[crowd cheering]
[instrumental music]
Snowin' and blowin' up
bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
[instrumental music]
Whoo!
Dancin' and prancin'
in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time
It's the right time
to rock the night away
Jingle bell time,
it's a swell time
To go glidin'
in a one-horse sleigh
Oh, giddy-up jingle horse,
pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle
and a jinglin' beat
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
The jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
[instrumental music]
That's
the jingle bell rock
[cheers and applause]
Happy holidays.
[cheers and applause]
Oh, my gosh!
That was incredible!
It's snowing in Florida!
-It's happening!
-It's snowing!
Ladies and gentlemen,
give it up
for David Foster
and Katherine McPhee.
One more time,
give it up!
[cheers and applause]
[McPhee] It was so much fun.
-Oh, my gosh.
-[Foster] It's real snow.
-This is unbelievable.
-It is.
-Wow.
-Guys, first of all, I love you two.
We love you.
You guys are the absolute best.
You're amazing.
And I'm so curious.
What is it like
in the, in the Foster/McPhee
household during Christmastime?
Oh, my gosh. Well, this is like
the first year.
We're really excited.
Our little boy is 20 months old,
and he's just gonna really
kind of get to experience it
for the first time, right?
-Yeah.
-We're excited.
You know,
we make a lot of music at home.
I mean, we don't plan on it,
but just the piano's there.
She's a great singer. I play.
-Yeah.
-It's a lot of music.
So basically what I'm saying is
can I come over?
-[laughing] Yes.
-[laughs]
Can we hang out?
I'll dance a little bit.
-Yes.
-You guys play music.
-Absolutely.
-Amazing.
That will be awesome.
We're gonna throw
a Christmas party this year.
We should throw
a Christmas party this year.
I mean, we're at a Christmas
party right now, right?
-That's true. Whoo!
-[cheers and applause]
That's true.
Your little boy,
his name is Rennie, right?
I mean, so, have you guys taken
him to Disneyland yet or...
I took him last year, but he was
only like 9 months old.
He remembers it, though.
He remembers it.
-Yeah, I'm sure.
-He remembers it, yeah.
They'll just have
to have us back next year
so we can bring him along.
-There it is.
-Right.
-[cheers and applause]
-Well, listen.
I mean after that performance.
-Yeah. That was amazing.
-[laughs]
Yeah, well, listen.
Happy holidays to you and yours.
And there's nothing we love more
than spending Christmas here
at Walt Disney World
together with all of you.

-Happy holidays.
Merry Christmas.
Hey, what's up, guys?
Frankie Quiones.
Just want to say happy holidays
to you and yours.
-[cheers and applause]
-We're back.
And it's time
for a little holiday riddle.
Ooh, I love riddles.
All right, let's go.
Okay. What do you get when
you mix a classical pianist,
a Latin pop superstar,
and one of the best
singer/songwriters in R&B?
A superhero musical?
[laughs]
That's a cool idea, but no,
It's our next performance.
With "What Christmas Means
To Me,"
please welcome back to our stage
Chloe Flower, Becky G,
and Ne-Yo.
-Whoo!
-[cheers and applause]
[Ne-Yo] Whoo!
Are y'all ready
to have a good time?
[rhythmic clapping]
Happy holidays, everybody.
Go clap to hands.
[instrumental music]
Get them, Chloe.
Mm
Oh, yeah
Candles burnin' low
Lots of mistletoe
Lots of snow and ice
Everywhere we go
Choirs singin' carols
Right outside my door
Oh, all these things
and more, babe
All these things and more
All
That's what Christmas
means to me, my love
That's what Christmas means
Oh, oh, yeah
Ya know what I mean?
Make some noise!
Ooh, ooh, ooh
I see your smilin' face
like I never seen before
Even though I love ya mad,
I swear I love you more
Little cards you give me
touch my heart for sure
Oh, all these things
and more, baby
All these things and more
Whoo
That's what Christmas means
to me, my love
-Ladies and gentlemen, Becky G.!
-Oh, yeah
-I feel like runnin' wild
-Ow!
As anxious
as a little child
Greet you
'neath the mistletoe
Kiss you once
and then some more
To wish you
a Merry Christmas, baby
Wish you a Merry Christmas
baby
And such happiness
in the comin' year
Whoo!
Everybody, clap your hands.
Let's deck the halls
with holly
Sing sweet silent night
Fill the tree with angel hair
and pretty, pretty lights
Go to sleep and wake up
just before daylight
All those things and more,
baby
All these things and more
Whoo!
That's what Christmas means
to me, my love
That's what Christmas means
to me, my love
Yeah! Let's go!
[instrumental music]
Hey!
Said all these things
and more, baby
-All these things and more
-Whoo!
That's what Christmas
means to me, my love
That's what's Christmas means to me
Hey!
I want to wish you
a merry Christmas, baby
-Mm, yeah
-Yeah
Gonna wish you
a merry Christmas, Ne-Yo
Whoo-hoo
Let's go!
[cheers and applause]
-Happy holidays!
-Happy holidays!
[cheers and applause]
[all] Ciao, everyone.
-I'm Ignazio.
-I'm Gianluca.
-I'm Piero.
-[all] And we are Il Volo.
We are delivering
a special holiday gift...
-...all the way from Italy...
-...just for all of you.
[announcer] We'll meet the cast
of the brand-new film
"Avatar: The Way of Water."
plus, Black Eyed Peas
and Run-D.M.C.
shutting things down.
All that and more when
this holiday party continues.
[instrumental music]
[instrumental music]
My holiday wish for everyone
is that they enjoy the time
with their families this year.
I know that it has been
a big chunk of time
where that hasn't been able
to happen,
so hopefully you can do so
and do so safely
and enjoy it and soak it up.
-[all] Happy holidays!
-From our family to yours.
Frohe Weihnachten!
-19!
-[all cheering]
I'm Alex Honnold.
And I'm Jimmy Chin
from "Edge of the Unknown."
-And happy holidays.
-Happy holidays, everybody.
Happy holidays, everyone.
I'm Bailey Bass.
-I'm Jamie Flatters.
-And I'm Trinity Bliss.
-And we're the cast...
-[all] ...of "Avatar: The Way of Water."
We're here at Pandora,
the world of "Avatar"
in Disney's Animal Kingdom
theme park.
where guests can discover
a world like no other.
And it's just as breathtaking
as the movie.
[Bailey] That's right. Every last bit
is as awe-inspiring
as James Cameron imagined it.
-Now let's go explore.
-Whoo-hoo!
Yeah, let's do that.
I've been wanting to do that.
[instrumental music]
[instrumental music]
Flatters: Whoa!
[cheers and applause]
Welcome back to the "Wonderful World
of Disney Magical Holiday Celebration."
Oh, my goodness.
This cast of "Avatar"
looks like they were having
so much fun.
In 2009,
when "Avatar" made its debut,
it won the hearts
of fans everywhere.
The movie
was visually groundbreaking
and broke several records,
including highest-grossing movie
of all time.
Now it's back with
the highly anticipated sequel,
"Avatar: The Way of Water."
And joining me now
and my brother
are some of the cast members.
Please welcome Jack Champion,
Trinity Bliss, Bailey Bass,
and Jamie Flatters.
[cheers and applause]
Welcome, guys. Wow.
So, oh, my goodness.
First of all,
I'm so excited.
I want to know,
how does it feel
to be part of this new chapter
of the "Avatar" film series?
It's just an honor to be part
of, like, the legacy
of such an iconic film.
Yeah.
The scale of this thing
and Jim and the thousands
of dedicated people
that put their everything
into this
really make it unlike anything
I've ever done
and probably will ever do.
And "Avatar"
will always have
a really special place
in my heart. [chuckles]
The holidays is all about spending time
with your families.
What can you say about,
you know, this movie
and what it says about family?
My favorite theme
of this movie
is that no matter where
you're from,
we're all the same
and that we should all take care
of each other.
And the same
with the Na'vi.
When the Sully kids are coming
to meet the Metkayina clan,
they are going to feel
that feeling
of always sticking together.
So, you guys are
a big old family.
I love that. I feel that.
I can't wait
to join the family
by just watching
in theaters.
Well, speaking of,
it is now time for the moment
we've all
been waiting for.
Here is a sneak peek of
"Avatar: The Way of Water."
[instrumental music]
Dad, I know you think
I'm crazy.
[instrumental music]
I hear her heart beat.
She's so close.
What does her heartbeat
sound like?
Mighty.
[instrumental music]
We cannot let you bring
your war here.
Outcast.
That's all they see.
I see you.
[instrumental music]
This is our home!
[instrumental music]
I need you with me.
And I need you
to be strong.
[instrumental music]
Strong of heart.
"Avatar: The Way of Water."
Only in theaters, December 16.
I've already
got my ticket.
And you can experience
"Avatar: The Way of Water"
only in theaters,
but right now,
let's get back
to the music.
This operatic trio
has toured the globe
singing their own
special brand of music
they like to call "popera."
And their Christmas album
has sold over a million copies.
We're very, very excited that
they're here with us right now.
All the way from Italy,
please welcome Il Volo.

[announcer] This celebration
is about to go to another level.
The magic doesn't stop.
Black Eyed Peas are up next
with special guests
Run-D.M.C.
Hitting the stage with a performance
you can't miss.
[instrumental music]
Hey, everybody. Merry Christmas.
Happy Hanukkah.
I hope you're getting to spend
some time with family.
I hope you're enjoying
the holidays.
Have an amazing time.
Enjoy it.
Happy holidays
from the cast of "Willow."
Happy holidays from our family,
"Raven's Home," to yours.
[cheers and applause]
Wow, this was
such a great night
and an awesome way to officially
kick off the holidays
because we did it
with all of you.
You know,
I absolutely love celebrating
this tradition
with you, sis,
and our entire
Disney family.
I look forward to it
all year.
You know, I really do, too.
So, what do you say we give them
another performance right now?
I thought you'd never ask.
I've been working
on this dance number
that's just perfect.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Not us.
-Oh.
-Silly.
Dang it. Been working out.
All right, save that energy
for Christmas Day.
I've been looking forward
to this performance
because it's going
to be fantastic.
We've kicked off the show
with this song,
so it's only right
that we close it out
with the originators.
Back on our stage
performing their timeless hit
"I Gotta Feeling,"
here's Black Eyed Peas
and a very special surprise.
[cheers and applause]
[instrumental music]
Clap your hands.
Clap your hands, yeah.
Yo.
I got a feeling
Whoo-hoo
That tonight's gonna
be a good night
That tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna
be a good, good night
A feeling
Whoo-hoo
That tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna
be a good, good night
Tonight's the night,
let's live it up
I got my money,
let's spend it up
-I feel
-Go out and smash it like, oh, my God
Jump off that sofa,
let's kick it off
Fill up my cup, mazel tov
Look at her dancin',
just take it off
Let's paint the town,
we'll shut it down
Let's burn the roof
Hey
'Cause I got a feeling
Whoo-hoo
That tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna
be a good, good night
A feeling
Whoo-hoo
Yo, that tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's
gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna
be a good, good night
Tonight's the night
Hey
Let's live it up
Let's live it up
I got my money
I'm paying
Let's spend it up
Let's spend it up
Go out and smash it
Smash it
Like, oh, my God
Like, oh, my God
Jump off that sofa
Come on
Let's kick it off
Kick it
Fill up my cup
Drank
Mazel tov
L'chaim
Look at her dancin'
Move it, move it
Just take it
Take it off
Let's paint the town
Paint the town
We'll shut it down
We'll shut it down
Let's burn the roof
Whoo-hoo
And then we'll do it again
Let's do it, let's do it,
let's do it, let's do it
And do it, and do it,
let's live it up
And do it, and do it,
and do it, do it, do it
Let's do it, let's do it,

Do it, do it, do it
Here we come, here we go,
we gotta rock
Easy come, easy go,

Fill the shot, body rock,

Round and round, up and down,
around the clock
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday
-Do it

And I'm feeling
Whoo-hoo
That tonight's gonna
be a good night
That tonight's gonna
be a good night
That tonight's gonna
be a good, good night
Whoo-hoo
Ladies and gentlemen,
hip-hop legendary heroes,
Run-D.M.C.!
Yeah
Everybody throw your hands
in the air
And wave them
like you just don't care
And if you're ready
for Run-D.M.C
Everybody say, oh, yeah
Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah
Make some noise
Homeboys,
make some noise
Oh, baby,
oh, baby, oh, baby
It was December 24th
on Hollis Ave after dark
When I seen a man chilling
with his dog in the park
I approached him very slowly
with my heart full of fear
Looked at his dog, oh, my God,
a ill reindeer
But then I was illin'
'cause the man had a beard
And a bag full of goodies,
12 o'clock had neared
So I turned my head a second
and the man was gone
But he must've dropped his
wallet smack dead on the lawn
I picked the wallet up
but then I took a pause
Took out the license
and it cold said "Santa Claus"
A million dollars in it,
cold hundreds of G's
Enough to buy a boat
and matching car with ease
But I'd never steal from
Santa, cause that ain't right
So I'm going home to mail it
back to him that night
But when I got home I bugged,
'cause under the tree
Was a letter from Santa
and the dough was for me
Hey
Put your hands in air
Put your, put your, put your
Oh, baby, oh, baby, oh, baby
Say yeah
Yeah
Now scream
Check it out
It's Christmas time
in Hollis, Queens
Mom's cookin' chicken
and collard greens
Rice and stuffing,
macaroni and cheese
And Santa put gifts
under Christmas trees
Decorate the house
with lights at night
Snow's on the ground,
snow white so bright
In the fireplace
is the yule log
Beneath the mistletoe
as we drink eggnog
The rhymes that you hear
are the rhymes of Darryl's
But each and every year
we bust Christmas carols
[instrumental music]
Say ho
Ho
Say ho
Ho
Say ho, ho, ho
Ho, ho, ho
Here we go, Black Eyed Peas
[vocalizing]
Rhymes so loud
and proud you hear it
It's Christmas time
and we got the spirit
Jack Frost chillin',
the hawk is out
And that's what Christmas
is all about
The time is now,
the place is here
And the whole wide world
is filled with cheer
My name's D.M.C.
with the mic in my hand
And I'm chilling and coolin'
just like a snowman
So open your eyes,
lend us an ear
We want to say Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year!
Yeah, Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year!
Black Eyed Peas.
Run, Run, Run-D.M.C.
Our new crew,
just for you.
-Fresh.
-This is what we do.
Aaaaah!
[cheers and applause]
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, that's how
you shut it down.
Run-D.M.C. and Black Eyed Peas?
Are you kidding me?
-[Julianne] The holidays are here.
-Right.
Celebrating the holidays
with Disney
is celebrating
with family.
And it means
so much to us
that in these busy,
challenging times,
you decided to spend
this time with us.
It's the perfect way
to get into the holiday spirit.
And we hope that you are all
enjoying the holidays
like we are with family,
friends, and loved ones.
We want to thank all of
our incredible guests
and performers,
and, of course,
all of you for joining us.
And we'll see you
right back here
on ABC Christmas morning
for the Disney Parks
Magical Christmas Day Parade.
Until then,
stay safe and...
Happy holidays.
-Whoo!
-[cheers and applause]
