Tinsman Road (2025) Movie Script

In the dream, I can hear her screaming.
She stands alone by a fallen tree
and points to something far away
and when I turn to look, the sky goes red
and blackbirds swirl around me.
Their wings become the walls
of the house we grew up in
and as something scrapes against the window
I fall through the floor, and into the earth.
And a piano begins to play in the blackness.
And then I wake up.
This is my street.
and...
that is the house that I grew up in.
And fled.
This is where I used to sneak out with my sister
and smoke cigarettes,
on the rock, at two in the morning.
And that's the autumn foliage.
Remember when you and Noelle
used to make these together
every year and - for special occasions
and you would splash flour on
each other and joke around?
No.
Well, you did.
Got some great pictures of that,
how could you not know it?
This is my mother.
I'm so glad you're home.
I'm home.
I could spoil you and cook
for you and bake for you.
Uh huh.
- sugar, egg, butter, and your favorite candies
that you and Noelle used to love -
See, I said her name and the lights flickered.
That's her.
She heard me say her name.
Ehh?
- the radio.
See? That's it! Her favorite part.
The candy going in.
- it's just -
- when I'm thinking about her.
There it goes again.
- you just need to -
Nope, it's a sign.
Can't tell me otherwise.
Hi, Noellie!
Mom...
What?
This butter isn't melting.
You don't believe?
That that's - a spirit?
Yeah.
No, I don't.
I think you should research it
and do a documentary on
angels and spirits and signs.
That's what you think I should do?
Yes.
Angels...
Yep.
Jeez, I'm gonna get carpal tunnel with this.
Butter won't melt.
You'll have these cookies tomorrow.
Okay, mom.
Glad you're home, honey.
I'm home.
All right, I'm gonna put the other -
I'm gonna put that in the fridge.
'cause, I think that's what happened.
I had to melt it to mix
it and it was too warm
to start out with.
Pathetic looking.
Are you ready?
I'm trying to put food away.
You wanted to do this.
Yeah, 'cause I believe.
Go ahead.
You're a non-believer
so it's hard to explain to -
This is where I feel her,
one of the places.
The lights flicker a lot,
which is a sign
that there's a spirit watching
over you, and in your presence.
And then on the stairs sometimes,
I'll like, hear soft footsteps
in the middle of the night.
- On the stairs?
Yep.
In the kitchen,
I feel her, because she
used to love for me
to show her how to make
the old family recipes,
our Hungarian recipes.
And whenever we would cook
she would put her arms
around me and hug me
and sometimes give me a kiss.
So I feel her a lot right here
by the stove where
we used to cook.
I have to keep it just the way it was
when she was here last.
I really feel her in here
and sometimes the music
box goes off on its own.
When does that happen?
It's usually in the
middle of the night, late.
but...
She loved this room.
Well, I think angels are...
after someone passes
and leaves their physical body,
they go to heaven, and,
they come back in
the form of an angel.
I'm not afraid of it.
Okay...
All the places that were important,
that's where I feel things.
Even though she was grown up,
I would always give her a kiss goodnight,
tell her I love her, tuck her in.
She was always my little girl,
even if she was a teenager.
How often do you come here, ma' ?
At least once a month.
By yourself?
Yeah.
She's gone.
It's still hard.
Can you stop filming?
I j -
No.
- Rob?
What?
- Come here.
What?
Come in Noelle's room,
I wanna play her song for you.
As the days are growing darker
and colorful leaves begin to fall
the crow above me sings so sweetly
I wanted to answer to her call
Miss Crow, take me with you
you're always free to dance,
to sing, your stage
the world below you,
and I know you know too
Miss Crow, take me with you
take me, take me with you
The crow is gone, but left a message
among the fallen leaves and dreams
of autumn's forest floor
a feather floated down to my feet
and I see that I can be as free
if I just spread my wings and soar
Mom...
- Miss Crow -
Sometimes I just wanna die
so I can see her again.
No, don't say that...
I love you.
Love you.
I don't want you to die.
I know.
I got the pumpkins.
I love carving pumpkins.
So I have two beautiful pumpkins.
We'll carve 'em up.
We need to get something to put -
I don't recall this being this hard.
Be careful.
Cut deep.
All right.
Now, gotta cut this off.
Just remember when you grow up,
you're gonna do this for your kids.
I am grown up.
Is it scary?
I have to put my glasses on
'cause I can't see in the dark.
But we gotta put him outside.
We have to put him in the leaves.
Ta da.
So I still think you should
make a documentary
about angels and signs -
- I am, that's why I'm filming.
All right, well, what about psychics?
Do you believe in them?
No.
I think some of 'em are shams
but there's one I have,
she's really good.
I told him how you have
always predicted things and,
you know, I wanted him to
do a documentary on it.
The power went out.
'Cause there's a lot of wind outside, so...
I heard something down there.
What?
I heard something.
I don't know, check it out.
Uh...
My mom swears she heard something.
Hello?
There's nothing down there.
You sure?
Yes.
I heard something for sure.
There's nothing down there.
There's nothing down there.
ohhh, as the days are getting darker
Good boy, you give Noelle kisses?
Ah, look at Noelle's happy she got the toy.
Why'd you get rid of the piano?
It just really gave me bad memories.
- Good boy. You love Noelle?
Not bad memories but,
just reminded me too much
of Noelle and I just didn't want it around.
Noelle diamond.
Noelle diamond.
Noelle diamond.
Snidy Tung!
Noelle, say "weeee"!
- wee, wee, wee, wee.
- Give Noelle a kiss.
Robbie... Robbie...
Robbie!
Come here.
Mom?
Do you hear that?
What?
You don't hear that?
Yeah, I hear it.
What are you doing?
What are you doing?
It's a sign.
What?
It's a sign.
That's definitely a sign.
Did you turn it on?
No.
I was upstairs and I called you
at the bottom of the steps.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, you just don't believe, right Rob?
No, I don't.
Yeah, I know.
I don't know where you got that from.
I taught you better.
I'm worried
about my mom.
My dad's not here.
My sister's
not here...
and I haven't
been here.
I don't know what
she's been, uh -
- doin' for the past
three years...
on her own...
She thinks she
hears signs and...
ghosts...
and uh...
she also is afraid of
something knocking at the door
and she thinks something bad is here.
So I don't know.
I guess this is my documentary about angels.
I don't know.
And this is my eye.
Mom, I'm taking the car.
- Okay.
- I was up at like 4 a.m.
and fucking...
I'm obsessed with what's his name?
- Daniel?
OH. MY. GOD. He is like, perfection!
- and he -
Ehh!
How's it going?
Hi.
Why do you have a camera?
Oh, I have a cam-
I'm making a, um, I was
coming up to you 'cause I-
Do you live here or are
you from around here, or?
Yeah, we live actually right down the road.
Yeah.
We grew up here.
Um..
Oh, you grew up here?
Yeah.
What's your name by the way?
- Robbie -
Oh, okay.
I'm Nancy.
On the other side.
Next to each other?
Yeah, just stand next to each other.
And I'll just ask questions and...
Okay.
Can we smoke on camera - is that?
Yes.
Well, I mean, our whole lives,
we grew up here.
Yeah, we grew up here.
It's nice, it's a small town, so -
- pretty quiet.
There's lots of woods.
That's all it is, is woods, woods...
That's literally all there
is to do around here, so.
I'm sorry, what's all there is to do?
Hang out.
- yeah, hang in the woods.
in the woods, and have bonfires-
- party, smoke, drink.
So I'm doing the film on the woods.
And then I'm also - if you might
remember a few years back,
the girl that went missing off of this road.
Yeah.
I'm doing a documentary about her as well.
Oh.
Yeah, yeah, no, we saw her,
you know, she would...
- Yeah, we used to see her around.
Yeah, you know, she'd be walking on the street.
- I never really talked to her, but I mean,
I always saw her around.
The search party?
- Yeah, if you could talk first about that.
Well, they had us all get together
and just go through the woods.
There's a lot of paths in these woods,
a lot of places that people could get lost,
but us locals, we know it, so
- Yeah.
We looked for a few days,
but we didn't find her.
Yeah, no one turned up, but...
And then, yeah, can you talk a
little bit about that too?
Yeah, I mean, we came together as a community
and we tried to, you know, look for her and stuff
and, you know, like I said, we all know the back
of these woods, like the back of our hands
so we just sort of searched for her
but unfortunately nothing came up
and it was really sad and scary
because you feel like you
kind of know everybody here
and, you know, when someone goes missing,
it's sort of, you know, it's just a little,
- It was sad.
It was eye opening.
- Everybody was very quiet...
What do you think happened?
Well, I think somebody killed her.
- That's morbid.
I don't like to assume that she died
but it's been a couple years now
and no one's even heard from her and so...
- I mean, we looked...
No, we did, yeah, we searched.
- under things and paths and -
Nobody was able to find her.
- the lake, we looked - y'know...
- unless she just wanted a
whole new life and ran away.
I doubt - that would be
the fortunate thing,
but unfortunately
And then actually, is this,
just so you...
Yeah, that's her.
Yeah.
Yep, that's her.
Thanks.
It's really sad.
So why are you doing this documentary?
I'm just trying to figure out what happened.
Oh, okay.
Do you believe in ghosts?
I mean, you know.
Lots of local stories.
Yeah, it's not like a Jersey Devil,
but nothing too crazy.
Talk a little bit about the Jersey Devil.
The Jersey Devil?
I don't think he's in this area.
Isn't that the Pine Barrens?
That's South Jersey.
Well, thank you.
No, no problem.
Anything else, you know, if we can do to help,
just let us know.
We live here, you'll find us.
I live right up the road that way.
There's a street right off on the side.
Yeah, I live next door.
And she's next door, so.
We grew up here.
Nancy and Heather.
I don't know
too much about it.
The only thing I heard
was that she had went out
and she didn't
ever come back
and they didn't
know where she was.
They went looking for her,
but they haven't found her yet.
Oh, all right.
And you believe in ghosts?
Do I believe in ghosts?
Well...not really.
I mean, I don't think
there's such things as ghosts.
People make
themself a ghost.
People make
themselves a ghost?
Yeah, yes.
How do they do that?
Because they just think
about it and talk about it
and really don't
know what a ghost is.
Oh, all right.
Well, what do you think
happens when we die?
When we die,
we go up to heaven
and God takes care of us
and lets us live our
own life up there.
All right.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Have a nice day.
You too.
All right.
All right.
Uh, I really didn't get a
story about it, so I don't know.
They just said that she was on
this road and went missing
and nobody ever
seen her after,
I guess she was
on this road.
but that's all I heard
I mean, I didn't -
- Can you actually look in the
camera when you're talking?
Sure.
I don't think anybody
found anything really.
There's not much back here
to do except hunt and fish.
I mean, it's like
20 miles of just woods.
Yeah, if you go out that way,
you'll come to a river
and then across that river,
it's still just all woods.
Nope.
No ghost stories.
What do you think happens when we die?
I really couldn't tell ya.
I'm hopin' there's
something though.
I'm hopin' you go somewhere.
What do I believe in?
Being realistic...
and I never seen a ghost,
so according to me
they're not real,
so I like being real.
Well what do you think
happened to her?
What do I think happened to her?
I don't know.
I don't -
I have no idea.
All right.
Well, thank you.
Yeah, no problem.
Hey there...
Pretty run down...
When are you gonna start filming?
I have something to talk about that's really good.
- I'm getting -
Are you ready?
Yeah.
So I had this dream about this beautiful angel
and she was floating up the stairs towards my bed
and then she hovered at the end of the bed
and she just whispered, "It's gonna be okay."
- Okay.
and I just believe that there's angels and people
on the other side that come to you like a visitation
in your dreams to tell you that they're okay
and to comfort you.
Okay.
So what have you been filming?
What do you mean?
What have you been doing lately?
What have you been filming?
Just different stuff around the house and -
- old pictures and stuff.
You're not going to that road, are ya?
No.
Don't go there alone.
Makes me really nervous.
No, I wouldn't go there.
Oh, fuck.
Shit.
with her wither,
moan and shiver,
ghastly gaping
gasping flicker
go she, gently,
wished the whistler,
tilt the wilt 'pon thrones of wicker,
pluck the morsels of her maybes,
wrap a worm around her daisies,
rot the knot and dark shall lick her -
So glad you're gonna be home for Thanksgiving.
Do you want me to bake you an apple pie?
Yeah.
- Plenty of bread I can
use for the stuffing.
Whoa, don't stand there and film it!
Tell me it's overflowing.
Do you want me to put
some cut up chicken in it?
Cause I just saved the broth.
Ah, yeah.
Okay...
Can I have a bite of it?
Thank you.
I don't know why you
don't eat in the morning.
With her wither, moan and shiver,
Ghastly gaping gasping flicker,
Go she gently, wished the whistler,
Tilt the wilt 'pon thrones of wicker,
Pluck the morsels of her maybes,
Wrap a worm around her daisies,
Rot the knot and dark shall lick her,
Furl her last uncurling finger,
Bellow madly, chirped the maggots,
Death's a most ungodly habit -
Hey again.
Hi.
How's it going?
Good.
Robbie, right?
That's me.
I found - I did find you.
You did.
How's your day going?
It's all right.
Good, how about you?
How's your movie going?
Movie's going all right.
You wanna come down?
Go that way...
Do you have some time
to do more questions?
Yeah, that's fine.
All right, over here?
Yeah.
- Be careful.
We just got off our shift at the diner, so...
Sunny's Diner.
Have you been?
No, I'm not from here.
Oh yeah, that's right.
I'm like 30 minutes away.
They have terrible eggs.
Don't get the eggs there.
- hood on, the last time I saw her.
Yea it was raining that day.
Yeah.
She had a bright pink
raincoat, I don't know.
That's pretty much it.
She was just mysterious.
Okay.
I used to see her walking up
and down the road a lot.
Usually I'd just see her walking up and then
go off into the woods.
There's lots of trails over there.
So, I saw her a few times
just go off into the trails.
Do you have any idea what she was-
Wanna go down this way?
Yeah, how much further is it?
It's just right up here.
Right here.
This path right here, I saw her.
She came walking down in here
and she went in there.
By, like by those -
Yep, right here.
That's the trail.
- Over there.
That's a trail?
Yep, there's trails back there.
There are some trails through there and stuff
and fields that we would hang out in, so...
My cousin is a cop a couple towns over
if you wanna talk to him.
He might have some information for you.
- That's right, I forgot about that.
I'm sure.
You think he'd talk on camera?
Probably.
You know, it's kind of a big story.
Everybody knows what went on.
I mean, I believe in heaven and hell
and purgatory.
- I believe in reincarnation.
I'm sorry, you-
- Like, I don't believe in heaven or hell.
I think you kind of just die
and you either keep going
or you just, you know
your soul carries on, either
in an animal or a person-
- I agree a little bit.
I believe in ghosts.
I believe that, I absolutely believe in ghosts
especially being in these woods
so, yeah.
So I believe that -
- Seen things, heard things.
Yep, that people, you know
especially people that I guess don't move on
they kind of stay in this world and
haunt it, in somewhat sense, yeah.
Toast the maiden,
Swill the swallow,
Burst the ripened, blood-wet hollows,
Flood the valleys, rush the red,
unknown dances -
Bellow madly, chirped the maggots,
Death's a most ungodly habit,
Herd our flocks to steep your sockets,
Surge the flesh of -
Rake her ringlets, dust the tendrils,
String the strands in swollen tangles,
So sing adieu to falling flowers,
Browning vines and failing powers -
Ma?
Drying rivers, diving doves,
Regretful lips - unspoken loves -
Mom?
Memories of aging minds,
The final dirt of humankind -
Ma'.
Ma!
Mom, come with me.
She's in the woods.
Mom, come with me.
Go to bed.
So normally when we're conducting a search
especially in this type of terrain
is that we'd have people line up
usually where you can see each other
see the terrain around you
and then we just walk, kinda staying in line,
and just looking and observing,
See, if you see actual footprints,
especially it's -
this time of year's a lot
of moisture on the ground, a lot of things
you could see people's footprints.
You'd see scraping marks
if the person was being dragged.
They might drop items on the ground
anything that doesn't fit, that looks out of place.
- How far out into the woods
do you think they went
in my sister's case?
I - no more than a
couple thousand feet
probably less than a half a mile.
- So they wouldn't have gone deep in?
- They wouldn't have been able to go deep in
with the terrain, the type of year
especially she was just walking on the street.
She wasn't prepared with
hiking boots and other stuff
and thick, warm clothing.
I don't think she'd make it very far.
- So if you were looking years later
what would you be looking for?
So then we're obviously looking
for something different
because you won't have the smell.
You won't have anything where
a search and rescue dog
would be able to find it.
We'd be using cadaver dogs.
Three years out in this area
it would be nothing but
bones is all you would probably find
maybe some scraps of clothing.
Unfortunately, animals, we do have bears
and we have foxes here, that uh, bobcats,
they would actually get to a
body if it was buried shallow
in the ground and dig it up and consume the flesh
that was on it.
So you'd have that.
If it was buried deeper in the ground
you'd have worms getting to it
and the decay that's there.
So you would, again, you'd
either have that depression
and you'd have bones underneath there
or you'd have bones on the surface
and maybe some loose scraps of clothing or stuff
to identify.
Okay, we're at the lighthouse beach today.
It's a little bit windy.
Hi Rob.
Whatcha doing?
Yeah?
That was cool!
There's the lighthouse.
Fuck!
So -
- what do you think actually happened?
I have no idea and I don't wanna think about it.
She's just watching home
movies and crying right now.
I don't really know how
to help her when she's
like this.
Grandma.
We used to have such a big family.
So many of them are gone now.
Hello?
Hello?
Hello?
I'm just gonna film it
until it happens again.
Noelle?
N-
fuuuck
Noelle?
Can you hear me?
Is there anyone in this house?
Do you hang out by the door?
Noelle?
Are you in your room?
Is there anyone in this house?
Can you hear me?
Do you hang out by the door?
It's around back.
Around back.
Over here.
Over here.
Hey.
What's up?
Smokin'.
Gimme some of that.
Where's your friend?
She's working, at the diner.
I'm off today.
Is it snowing?
A little bit.
It was on the way over here.
Thank you for coming.
Yeah.
Ta da.
Ohhh, yes!
It's what we do.
What we do on a Monday.
Am I fitting into the -
You are.
So this is my room.
Ta-da.
This is -
Ta-da.
This is where the magic happens?
There's no magic.
Why'd you give me the full one?
That one was, wait.
- 'cause we're new friends.
I don't know anybody here anymore.
Ohh, you're gonna get me f-
I can't - can I curse?
In your movie?
- Yeah.
You're gonna get me fucked up.
I can't open it again.
I'm good at opening drinks.
Cheers to new friends.
Nope.
No more for me.
That tastes like apple.
Yeah.
Woo!
This is how we do it in Hollywood.
Oh yeah? Tell me more about Hollywood.
Hollywood seems amazing.
- No.
Is it awesome?
- No.
No, it's not awesome?
- It's all right.
It's all right?
It's better than here.
What is there around here?
Childhood.
This.
Alcohol.
Drinking, smoking.
Yeah.
Oh, I have something for you.
What?
I found something.
- What?
I was going through my stuff.
This is apple.
What?
They were posted all over,
and I kept some of them.
I guess your cousin told you all that?
Yeah, when I talked to him the other day,
he told me everything.
Where'd you get these?
I held onto them.
They had posted them in
the diner, around town,
and they gave them out when we
were looking through the woods.
Maybe film me as I -
I'm gonna look at -
I've never seen these.
Are they the same?
- Mm-hmm.
There was a lot of her.
Yeah, I never saw this.
I was uhhh -
I had just moved and I -
- I didn't see them.
You can have that if you want.
Yeah, can I hold onto it?
Yeah, you can keep it.
Thank you.
When I saw her, she always was like
bopping around when she was walking
and I saw her writing in a book
and I heard that she wrote music.
Nancy said she wrote music.
Pick one.
- I like this one. This one looks good.
I haven't listened to them all yet.

That sounds pretty.

Yeah, I didn't even know these tapes existed.
She had a lot of talent.

Happy Thanksgiving.
It's Happy Thanksgiving
'cause my boy is here.
I like your earrings.
Thanks.
You know what the secret is?
- What?
You crumble up the turkey
heart and put it in there.
Oh.
Okay.
It's ready to go in.
Delicious turkey.
Here we go.
Whew, almost everything's done.
What's your favorite part about Thanksgiving?
Being together.
What are you doing?
Smoking.
Polluting your lungs?
Standing in the rain?
Uh huh.
Not helping me with
Thanksgiving meal?
What are you doing?
Well what do you
think I'm doing?
Already made two pies,
turkey's in the oven, stuffing,
sweet potatoes.
I'll be right in.
Getting rained on.
Like an idiot.
Dear Lord, thank you for this day
and for having Robbie with me
as I felt so alone
and
prayers to my daughter in heaven
that she's safe and warm and happy.
Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
Love you, mom.
Love you, honey.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks for coming home.
I miss you.
Mom.
Ma.
What are you doing?
Who are you?
Robbie.
Robbie's not here.
Ma, what are you looking at?
Noelle.
What do you see?
I see Noelle.
I see her out there.
There she is.
What do you want?
I want everything to
be the way it was.
I got the candle.
What?
I got the candle.
Sorry.
Nice.
It's been weird around here.
Like what?
Well, the music box keeps
turning on in my sister's room.
There's been footsteps.
The door keeps, like, the door
that we just came in opens.
My mom has been sleepwalking.
You believe in ghosts, right?
Yes, very much.
Open it.
Yeah...
You don't think I'm crazy?
I don't.
Noelle...
Noelle, did you turn on the music box?
Did you turn on the music box?
Do you wanna ask something?
If you're here, give us a sign.
We wanna help you.
Are you okay?
Yeah.
Ask something.
Do you know who killed you?
Your mom and your brother miss you.
They just wanna say hello.
And know that you're okay.
Just let us know that you're okay.
You okay?
Yeah, it makes me think of my dad.
What?
I lost my dad a few years ago.
I'm sorry.
I did too.
How did it happen?
He killed himself.
I'm sorry.
It's okay.
Sometimes I wish I could talk to him too.
Ask him something.
Hey, dad.
Are you there?
I miss you.
Is it you that bothers me in my room at night?
What happens in your room at night?
Something sits on my bed. I can feel it.
When my back is turned.
Did you stop it?
No, it's still recording.
Shh. Shhh.
Shh.
Put that down!
What are you doing in here?
Nothing.
Get out!
Stop yelling.
GET. OUT.
This is my friend, Heather.
Sorry...
Just get the camera out of
my face. I'm so sick of this.
I'M DONE.
You can actually hear
nature talking to you...
she has a lot of voices
the sound of
leaves in the trees brushing
against each other, gentle -
the sound of the wind,
howling, moving...
between branches
Les.
I love you.
Do you want me to try to find you?
Can you get out of this room?
Wow.
Hey!
I finally get to be included in this little mix.
Yeah.
Been stealing Heather from me
for the last week or so.
- trying to do a seance,
Yeah.
We were just, like, talking.
She came in and she's like screaming.
Get out!
Well it's her dau-
Oh, speaking of, I'm really
sorry about your sister.
I didn't realize that it was her.
No, it's all right.
Sorry I didn't tell you guys earlier.
No, it's -
I was trying to keep it - like -
y'know, like -
- not be weird.
- before it happened, right?
What?
You left before it happened,
like you were gone?
I was in California, yeah, when it happened.
Well, I don't know.
Why were you in California,
when it happened?
Why didn't you come home?
What were you doing out there?
Because my mom didn't tell
me for weeks after she was missing,
and I thought my sister
just wasn't talking to me.
Oh.
So I had no idea until it was too late.
Were you guys fighting?
No, I just...I thought she
was mad at me for leaving.
And that's why I haven't
been home in years 'cause -
it was fucked up.
So she doesn't know what
you're doing now, right?
She doesn't know
anything about this?
No.
Oh.
Well, isn't she curious as
to why you're filming?
She thinks I'm making a stupid
documentary about angels
but I just want to actually -
Did you tell her that?
Now I'm gonna
to go into just
I want the opportunity
to search myself.
By yourself?
By yourself?
Yeah.
Just for a couple days.
We can go with you.
That is crazy.
That's not a good idea.
Go head, here.
Like, film you?
Yeah. Go head.
Ask whatever you want.
Um.
but the - I mean, what do you -
what do you hope to find out
there that nobody else has found?
Do you have a plan?
You're just gonna wing it?
A fox.
A trap.
Tree with a fork.
And steps.
It's a fox.
A fox.
Why are you crying?
I'm just sick of this whole thing,
this filming, and everything,
I'm just tired of it.
I just want you to stop.
Mom, how long have you been sleepwalking?
I don't sleepwalk.
Mom, you turned the music box on last night.
Yeah, sure. I turned it on. Right.
You just don't believe in God or angels,
so you just try to make it look like I did it.
It's not your - Mom -
You sleepwalk.
Robbie, YOU sleepwalk. YOU do it.
Not me. I've seen you.
Laying on the floor when you were in the bed
and the door's open in the middle of the night.
You turned the music box on, Mom.
Where were you when I needed you?
I don't want to hear this stuff.
"There's no angels and God" and all that.
I'm so sick of that.
You weren't here.
- I'm not tryin -
Oh, be quiet.
I'm not trying to hurt you, Mom.
Yeah, well, you do.
'Cause YOU weren't here.
Why don't you make something of yourself?
Why don't you do something
with your life instead of just
holding that stupid camera in your hand?
It's ridiculous.
I'm sick of it.
Mom...
Get out of here.
Just go.
You wanna lose
two kids, then?
Are you fuckin' KIDDING me?
No wonder she didn't wanna stay in this house!
After what I've been through?
- what?
You fuckin' kidding me, Robbie?
I can't BELIEVE you!
What?
You're fucking crazy!
I'm fucking crazy all right!
Hey.
Hey.
Thank you.
Sure.
Ready?
Yeah.
There's - you know where
I can put my bag?
Yeah, you can put it in the back.
Alright.
Bye, Mom.
Take me to the road.
Okay.
What?
What are you gonna tell my mom if she calls?
I will tell her that you're
sleeping and you'll call her back.
And what if she presses?
I think I can handle it.
Moms are my specialty.
Sometimes the moon disappears
and the night turns black.
But the dark moon always gives way to
a new crescent, and the light slowly returns.
Our journeys into darkness are
guaranteed and they are unavoidable.
But so is our inevitable
return to light, to beauty, to peace.
You got it?
Yep.
Did that look alright?
Yeah.
Looks good.
Alright.
Whew.
Thank you for everything.
You're very welcome.
I'll uh, see you Monday.
Sure you're gonna be okay?
Yeah.
I'll be alright.
Okay.
I'll see you Monday.
See you Monday.
Thank you.
Tell Nancy hi.
I will.
Good luck.
Thank you.
Be safe.
There's no fucking trail here.
Fuckin' trail...
Yes?
How you doing today?
I'm good, you s-
I'm good.
I'm good.
I uh -
Y'know, I just don't like people trespassin'.
Uh-huh.
I didn't realize I was trespassing.
Yeah, if somebody gets hurt or something
then I could get sued,
and it could turn into a
real big mess, you know?
Yeah, I get that.
So I-
- I really don't know if you're just filming
or you're looking for something else.
- talked to you a few weeks ago..
- Yeah, I kinda recognized you a little bit.
Yeah, um -
- I got the camera, so I'm filming like birds and...
Oh, okay.
But I really don't like people on my land.
You know, if you get hurt or something,
then it's uhh - my fault I could get sued.
So I really don't -
- Well, it's just the woods.
I'm just filming nature stuff.
- Yeah, but you're on my property.
I mean, you know, I don't know
who you are, really.
Well, I talked to you a few weeks ago.
Yeah, well, that was just the
first time I ever met you
and now I see you walking
around on my property.
Yeah, no, which way is off your
property? I'll start goin' that way -
- if you go back down the path this way -
Sorry, I didn't mean to like... perturb you.
About a half a mile
the road is, and then that'd
be off my property.
Because I own over like 200 acres on this land.
Oh I didn't realize that.
I'm sorry.
Well, just tell me which -
point which way to go and I'll -
If you go down this path right here
and just keep following it out
it'll take you right to the road.
Yeah.
And then that's not
my property anymore.
Well, I'll start heading, you know...
Just filming birds.
Okay.
Yep, I'll go this way then.
What?
Have a good day.
Yeah, you too.
Now I'm gonna go this way.
You go the other way and
you'll come out to the road.
Where?
I'm sorry, which way?
I'm lost.
You gotta turn around
come out here onto the path
turn around and walk straight out
you'll come right out to the road.
All right, sorry about that.
- It'll bring you into a little town.
All right, yeah.
Okay?
Yeah.
Got it?
I got it.
All right, have a good day.
Yeah, you...too.
I'm going this way.
Hello?
Where ya going?
Fuck!
I feel like she was there.
Motherfucker.
Hello?
- Hey.
- oh, it's you again.
Oh.
- what are you still doing here?
I thought you were leaving.
I can't hear you.
Come on, get on!
Okay.
Fuck.
- I don't really like people on my property.
Yeah.
I'm not filming or anything.
Yeah I uh -
I'm a little turned around.
Well
umm...
I just don't like people poking
around on my property -
- Yeah, you said that yesterday
I thought -
You said that yesterday,
I'm lookin - I was on a map
and the map said this
is state park, actually
where I am now.
No, the state park is back that way.
This is my property.
That way, you said?
Yeah.
You wanna follow me and
I'll show you the way out?
Uhh...
Well, I still got a little bit to film.
Well, maybe you could go to
the state park and film it.
Yeah, no, I'm just gonna grab
I have some of my gear back
that way, so thank you, though.
Maybe I should follow you
and make sure you get out of here.
No, that's all right
I'm pretty - I got the map, so if I'm off a little bit
that's - I'll be able to find
my way back real quick.
Don't worry about it.
Okay, just be careful.
It's very dangerous.
You see all - dead trees
and stuff laying around.
Yeah, no, it's the woods, yeah.
- don't want you to fall and get hurt.
No, no.
Your name's Keith, right, Keith Bixby?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I mentioned to my friends
before I went hiking yesterday
that I had talked to you
at your house, so.
They know I'm out here and -
- You sure you don't want me to show you?
'Cause I can show you how to get out of here.
Yeah, no, that's all right.
So you're just filming?
Just - yeah, I got some
shots of deer earlier.
I'm not filming now.
Okay.
It was nice to see you again, though.
You too.
- Yeah, when I was telling my friends about you
I talked about your house and the road
and the documentary I was making
and that I was coming out here so
thanks for being a part of it.
Okay.
Be careful.
- Yeah, yeah.
I don't need anybody getting hurt.
- No, yeah.
All right.
- All right, yeah.
- That's it, keep goin' that way.
You're goin' the right way.
Shut the fuck up.
What?
- Just keep going.
Stay the fuck away from me, dude!
Stay the FUCK away from me!
- Just that way.
That way.
That way's the way out.
fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
Fuck!
Noelle?
Shit.
Put this here.
Put this here.
Put this one here.
I'm gonna put this one here.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm gonna put this here
and mark it.

Calm down.
Calm down, get yourself together.
Get your fuckin' self together.
Get yourself together.
Get yourself together, okay?

There's a bunch of animal bones here too.
Hey, what are you doing in there?
Hello?
Hello?
Anybody in there?
Hey.
I don't like you too much anymore.
I heard her singin'
and I just wanted her to sing to me.
If you find this, this is the guy.
I just wanted her to sing.
