If you don't eat,
you'll be weak.
And if you're weak,

Love, not everything
is solved by fighting.
Okay, son.

You need to be early tomorrow. Go.

His platform's solid.
I'm voting for him.

He used to be my chief.
Wow. Small world.
Small worldif you only knew.
Okay, I'll get your order in a bit.
Alright. Thanks.
Okay.

- Hello, love.
Hi, love. How are you?
Love, don't forget

When have I ever forgotten
to pick up our son, love?
I've got it, okay?
- Okay.

All we can afford
is mung bean stew and rice, dear.
What about you, Grandma?
You'll be hungry.
I'm fine. The broth
is free anyway.
Thank you, Miss Anne.
Miss Anne, a favor.
See that grandma and kid on the corner?
Get them rice and meal, one each.
I'll pay, okay?
Look at you, Mario.
Always treating people now.
Only sometimes.
- Alright.
- Thanks.
Hi, Grandma. Here's your food.
Oh no, I've only got coins.
I can only afford mung beans.
Grandma, don't worry about it.
Mario paid for it.
Okay? Eat up, alright?
Ma'am, are you Denise?
Yes. Ive been waiting here for ages.
Sorry, ma'am.
Youre not a reckless rider, right?
Are you okay?
What's that on your face?
This, ma'am? It's nothing.
I'll make sure you get there safely.
Come on. I'll just
turn the bike around.
- Okay.
- Alright, ma'am.
Let's go, ma'am.
Hold on tight, ma'am.
Okay, ma'am.
This is the right address, maam?
- Yes.
- Okay.
Hold on.
I'm Monica F. Lopez.
- I want to be an actress.
- Wow!
Thank you, Monica.
Have a seat.
Our last presenter
looks like his dad isn't here yet.
But we'll call him anyway.
Benjie Alvarez, please come up.
This is my dream.
I want to be a police officer.
Like Dadhe used to be a cop.
He always helps other people.
No one's helpless
when my dad's around.
So I want to be like him
a cop, for our country.
Wow. Thank you, Benjie.
Class dismissed. Thank you.
- Class dismissed. Thank you, everyone.
- Dad!
Sorry Im a little late, okay?
Hi, ma'am. Sorry I'm a bit late.
I had to drop someone off first.
You know, Benjie wants to be like you.
Really? Is that true?
Yes. He can do it.
Your son is very smart.
Well then... you really take after me.
Good job, son.
I heard you earlier.
Okay, ma'am we'll head out.
- Alright. Take care.
- Okay.
Where'd you get that?
Let me see.
Mom gave it to you, huh?
Tell the truthMom did?
- Bye.
- Take care.
So, you okay?
What was it that you wanted to tell me?
Do you know that
that's really my dream?
To wear the uniform that you kept.
You look like a super hero, dad.
You're so adorable.
Though...
There are other jobs out there
besides being a police.
Just like...
There! You could be a mechanic.
Maybe in the future,
if someone's motorcycle breaks down,
or their car.
You can repair it.
And aside from that,
you can work in the government,
or be a politician.
If a problem came up
in San Antonio,
you can help them.
Don't you like that?
That's different, dad.
A police has a distinct presence.
How old are you again?
Oh, you have forgotten, dad.
Only old people can be forgetful.
I wouldn't forget
because I am not old.
It's just sometimes,
you're acting different.
That's why I couldn't tell
if you're nine, ten, eleven...
Twelve?
What grade are you in now?
Hey! It was just a joke.
Give it a laugh, come on.
I'm sure that you have a lot
of homework from school.
Right?
We'll do that later, okay?
You know, son.
Don't you dream of
having a beautiful girlfriend?
Just like your dad.
Yes, I would like to.
After all, you have seen
how beautiful your mother is.
Dad, once I become a police officer,
all the pretty girls
will chase on me.
They'll be the ones
chasing you, is that it?
You're something else.
But, son, just because
you're a police officer,
doesn't mean women
will be chasing after you.
You have to be good-looking too.
Are you handsome?
I am your son, dad.
There's no doubt about that.
It's true, just from the ears alone.
Looks just like mine.
Dad,
we have an assignment from school.
We didn't get to finish it
since the bell rang.
Sure, let me see it.
Here it is, dad.
I see.
Is this supposed to
be your mother, son?
She is, dad.
You know during my younger years.
I, too, also liked drawing.
Such as portraits and face of a person.
Fine, I'll help you later.
Alright?
You're really awesome, dad.
Being a police officer
if something else.
You know, stop flattering me already.
What do you need from me?
Did your allowance run out, Benjie?
That's enough so we
can get this over with.
Let's have dinner once
your mom arrive, okay?
I've already took an order a while ago.
Let's put this aside.
For sure she'll be here soon.
Guess who's this?
Who else might it be.
There's only one person I love.
How are you, love?
I'm sorry love, I had a hard
time getting on a jeepney.
It's okay, I understand.
Benjie!
Son, come here.
Son, give me your bag. So you
and your mom could fit there.
Come on.
Excuse me, can we
follow up with the order?
How has your day been?
Thank you!
Did it go well?
Love, look. This is you.
Wow, my son is really good at drawing!
Is this supposed to be me?
- Wow! My son is really good at this.
- Thank you! Thank you.
Definitely got it from your dad.
Thank you!
Okay, let's eat
Hold on a minute.
Don't forget to pray first.
Benjie?
Who will lead the prayer?
Lead the prayer.
In the name of the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Father, thank you for these food tonight.
And may You always keep mom, dad,
and me, Benjie to be safe.
In the name of the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
I thought Benjie will lead the prayer?
I did it. I don't want my
son to have a hard time.
Okay, let's eat.
Okay, let's eat.
Let me handle the soup.
Love.
- Hmm?
- I'm sorry, okay?
- I may give you a hard time...
- Hmm?
Benjie says he has an
unfinished homework because
the bell have already rang.
As for me, I still have to leave later.
Could that possibly be
postponed until tomorrow?
Get some rest first.
Love, even if I want to,
you know that I can't.
I'm close on hitting my quota,
and I don't want to
lose the incentives,
and Benjie's tuition...
is when... Next month, right?
Is it okay?
Alright.
Just make sure you
come home safe, okay?
Promise me you'll
stay out of trouble.
Otherwise, you'll be in trouble with me.
Trouble?
- What?
- Benjie.
What is your mom saying?
When did I ever come home unsafe?
And when did I ever make some trouble?
I have never. Right?
Promise us.
Right?
You guys, really.
I promise.
I promise.
I love you.
Okay, let's eat.
Let us eat first.
Here you go. Thank you.
Take care.
- There.
- I've got it. Thanks.
Oh, thank you!
Help! Help! My phone!
Help! My phone!
Pleasehelp!
My phone!
Help!
My cellphone!
- Thank you, thank you!
- It's okay. Are you alright?
I'm okay. Are you okay?
- How about you?
- Are you hurt?
Nothing.
You're okay?
As long as you're okay.
Be careful.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Benjie, why are you up?
It's only 5AM.
I'm not done with my assignment yet.
Mom really can't draw.
- Is that so?
- What if I fail?
I want to be a cop.
Fine. Let me see.
Oh, okay.
Alright, like this, son.
Just do this.
Start with a circle like a face.
Like that. It's okay to mess up.
Just keep it light. Start like that.
Keep it light, so that if you
mess up, you can just erase it.
Once it's there, that's good.
Now draw a line down the middle.
Then one going down.
And that's where... you put the chin.
This is the nose.
The ear. Now add some hair.
Over here. Hair.
There you go.
Shoulders.
There.
There. Try that, son.
But Benjie, remember
there's no wrong way to draw.
As long as you're enjoying it.
Okay?
Wow, you're so good, Dad.
Thats why youre my idol.
I love you, son.
Go on. Try it.
Finish it up.
Draw a line down the middle,
then here.
Don't press too hard, okay?
So that if there's mistake,
we can erase.
Therethat's it.
That's correct.
But that nose is so pointy.
It's your turn, Benjie.
Benjie, you're bleeding!
Move! Help us!
Sir, Ma'am?
Benjie really needs treatment.
He's in advanced-stage dengue.
His blood type is also rare.
If moneys tight,
we can transfer him to a public hospital.
We can't, Doc.
You know how long
youd have to wait in line there.
What are you talking about, Doc?
My uncle waited
for almost eight hours.
His condition just got worse.
Its really hard
being poor in this country.
Okay, Doc.
We'll find a way.
Alright. Ill be around.
Love, I'll head to city hall.
I'll see if the mayor can help us.
Okay. Good idea.
- Watch Benjie for me, okay?
- Of course.
Son, get well.
Dad needs you.
Dad?
How are you, son?
I'm okay, Dad.
I'll get better, I promise.
I still want to be a cop.
Yes, son. You'll be a cop.
But for now, get well first. Alright?
- Promise Dad.

Don't worry, bro.
The investigation's moving.
So far, we have no leads.
Ill let you know right away.
Here.
You're something else, brother.
Is this the suspect
you were talking about?
That's him.
If that's him, this helps a lot.
We'll find this asshole.
Can we keep this?
So I have a copy too.
We'll handle it, brother.
We'll track this animal down.
Don't think about it too much.
Leave it to us.
I'm counting on you, brother.

Mario.

What do you mean?
Nothing. Come onlets get coffee.
Let's go.
I'm telling you, Alfred.
You should've resigned long ago.
You should've rested too.
Rest?
How? So our force rots even more?
That's exactly my point.
Listen to yourself.
Nothing's changed.
Back then, Fred, you had
to kill just to meet quota.
Even an animal shouldnt be shot
what more a person?
That's why I resigned.
I get you, Mario.
What I'm about to tell you
stays between us. Okay?
Its just rumors.
Carjackings and robberies keep happening.
I checked the CCTV
by the traffic light.
And it showed the guys
who jumped you...

near the junk shops.
Where exactly?
We barely made anything today, bro.

I can't, Love.
I can't just walk away.
I have to finish this.
I have thought about this.
Go home firstto the province.
You'll be safer there.
Listen to me.
For our son.
I know I cant stop you.
Just promise me...
Promise you'll be careful.
Mario.
Come with me.
Alright.
I'm coming with you,
but there's something
I need to finish.
You were right, Fred.
You were right about everything.
Remember when
your first day on the force?
You were full of fire.
You wanted to change the world.
And when you saved me,
you took the bullet.
How could I forget that?
I was ready to die.
But you still stood up for me.
You still risked your life.
Why?
You know, now...
It's all coming back.
It's clear to me now.
Why you left the force.
Because if I'd left too, maybe I'd
have lived longer, without ever seeing...
...this darkness.
This pain. This misery.
Get out of there.
Walk away from all of it.
I'm in too deep in this corruption.
You can still walk away, Fred.
That can't be traced.
Bro, are you really sure about this?
Maybe you should think it through first.
Once you step in,
there's no turning back.
In this world...
...where justice is for sale.
You need force to
make the fight fair.
Thanks, Fred.
Love, is that you?
Love?
Love... is that you?
Good evening.
Yes, sir? What do you need?
Buddy, we're gonna drink
all night, alright?
Tomorrow morning, were heading out.
We need to meet Mr. Cheng.
At the port. Prepare the parts
you chopped up.
We're shipping those to Korea.
Sure, boss.
As long as you cover our drinks.
Fine. It's on me.
Maybe that animal Mario shows up.
Shit that kid I assigned there
he's an idiot.
Move it. That's our shipment.
Where are you going?
Take a look.
Good evening, Mario.
Damn you!
Mario, where are you?
Mario...
Please... don't kill me.
I was just following orders.
Bro, don'tdon't do this.
We're childhood friends.
We go way back.
Go easy on my boys.
They're just following orders.
Please, Mario.
Don't kill me.
Im asking you for mercy.
- Mercy?
- Please forgive me.
Just don't kill me.
I'll give you the money.
If you want... we can split it.
Waityeah.
I'll split it.
Hello, Love.
- Love?
- Love?
Love, where are you?
Give me that.
Mario.
You bastard!
You want your wife back?
Come here.
You know the place.
Just one shot.
Hey! Stop right there.
Just don't hurt my wife.
Don't worry, I'm here now.
Stop that. Don't do anything stupid.
Mario.
Did you have a good night?
You okay?
What do you think?
Well, help yourself.
Help yourself.
Guys, see you at the after party. Okay?
Girls, take care of them.
Mr. Chen.
Chief, he's valuable.
A weapon should be wielded, not wasted.
Give him a choice.
Bring him back.
You heard what Mr. Chen said?
He says you get a second chance.
Mario, we both know this.
Justicia Incorporated
is a huge corporation.
Security, warehouses, the port
everything.
Just come with us.
Well both come out on top.
I guarantee you that.
Because of you,
our son got dragged into this.
Other people got dragged in too.
So don't drag me
into your crooked system.
The system is rotten.
You have no choice.
You know why?
The big shots protect it.
You can't tear that down.
That's why you're
being given a chance.
So you can change.
You've got no choice.
Unless you come with us.
Mario, we were
together before, right?
I know how good your skills are.
The bosses get their way.
The powerless? They're done.
That's it. Forget it.
The powerful can buy everything.
So forget chasing justice for yourself.
You're only lying to yourself.
It's too late.
Use this.
Come with us.
Mr. Chen's giving you a chance.
A chance to get back up
and start over.
Like I said. Don't drag me
into your crooked system.
Get that through your head.
This is the system!
Liz?
Liz!
Liz!
Liz!
Liz!
Liz!
Liz!
You should've just kept walking away.
Then this wouldn't
have happened to her.
But you looked back.
You looked back!
News flash!
In this generation,
who will the public trust?
Especially if there is policemen in service
who protects the syndicates
like Chop Chop Gang
including big names in politics
and a previous police captain,
Ronaldo Dela Cruz.
This is after discovering several bodies
inside a club in Milagros.
Based on a report of
a senior police officer
Alfred Orpiya,
the one's that are killed are probably
involved with the said syndicate.
For now, there's no suspect identified
but the investigation continues.
In the middle of fear and anger,
from the people, there are a few
saying that some ordinary
citizens are running out of options.
And for some,
it is time to be a vigilante.
