[all] Welcome to Dubai!
[Teja] Global Desis are ruling the world,

[upbeat theme music playing]
[in Hindi] The entry point for us
into this world is the Sanpal family.

[upbeat theme music continues]
I'm from Jabalpur.
I didn't have any ancestral money.
[In English] Now,
I'm the billionaire in Dubai.
I have 40 kilos of gold.
- Can you believe it? Already.
- [gasps]
[in Hindi] We've made our mark,
made a lot of connections.
We're friends with celebrities.
We're no less either.
[Binda, in English]
We don't go to Bollywood.
We bring Bollywood to us.
[Satish, in English] If you have money,
[in Hindi] money talks.
[laughs]
[upbeat theme music continues]
- Caviar?
- [in English] Of course, babe.
Wow! [laughs]
[Rizwan, in Hindi] This boy
came from the slums of India,
built a company in Dubai and has become
the third-largest developer in Dubai.

the mark to be a millionaire.
[people cheering]
[in Hindi] This glittering world
hides many secrets,
[in English] and I know everything.
[dramatic music playing]
Such troublemakers these girls are.
Complete troublemakers.
Thank God I don't have to have a man
fund my lifestyle.
Showing your wealth isn't wrong,
but faking it…
That's just an illusion.
Many girls want the throne,
but there is only one who wears the crown.
Whose friend are you?
[in Hindi] I've never seen
so much drama before.
- [in English] I never lie, anyway.
- But you just lied.
First see how to become
a mature woman and a mother.
Forget about being a wife.
I'll never expect that anymore from you.
[sobbing] I cannot talk to you.
Satish goes out partying.
I know he goes out with the girls.
[exclaims] What?!
[dramatic music continues]
There's a clear influence here
because of the kind of circle
you're surrounded with.
Tejasswi is not the right person for you.
No wonder why he hasn't proposed to you
because you don't let him talk!
If you think you don't fit in this circle,
you don't have to be friends with us.
Why would you not trust me?
[dramatic music continues]
I don't know if I will fit in the circle.
I don't know what to do.
[upbeat music playing]
[women cheering]
- [woman laughs]
- Oh!

[in English] This is extra today.
I should get one Hermès bag,
I think, for this. [laughs]
[lively music playing]
[Tabinda] Since I'm with Satish,
I massage his feet every morning.
He wakes up like a prince.
As a Hindu, he believes
[in Hindi] that if a wife touches
her husband's feet every morning,
it brings wealth.
- [heroic music playing]
- [in English] I'm Satish Sanpal.

[laughs]
[in English] My wife is Binda.
[in Hindi] We've been married
for nine years now.
We have a daughter, Bella.
We're very happy with her.
Is Bella awake?
Bella is awake.
She's about to go down for a walk.
Everybody, look, look ♪
[Tabinda] My name is Tabinda Sanpal.
I've spent 20 years of my life in the UK.
[baby cooing]
[Binda, in English] Good morning!
Everybody… ♪
[in Hindi] We'd been trying
for nine years to have a baby.
Then, when Bella was born,
we were very happy.
[Binda, in English] She was born
at a very famous hospital in London,
where the royal family has given birth.
[in Hindi] Before Bella was born,
her daddy got gold cutlery made for her.
She has a gold plate,
a gold spoon, and a glass of gold too.
[in English] She's the richest baby
in Dubai.
No, no, no!
[in Hindi] Today Karan
and Tejasswi are coming too.
[Satish] Hmm.
Did you ask if they'll have breakfast?
They will have breakfast.
Karan is a good friend.
Both of them also want to move to Dubai.
I want to help them.
[upbeat theme music playing]
[in English] Cabin crew,
prepare for landing.
[intriguing music playing]
[in English] This is a new start.
[in Hindi] It's a new beginning.
There's nothing here for us.
We need to build from scratch.
[in English] I'm really nervous.
[in Hindi] Whenever we've come
to Dubai before,
it's been either for a meeting,
or an event or on vacation.
But this time,
we haven't booked a return ticket.
[music fades]
[in English] What is wrong with you?
Paparazzi.
There are no paps.
Why?
Because they're not allowed
at the airport. This is not India.
[intriguing music playing]
[plane's engine hisses]
[Karan, in Hindi] Hi, I'm Karan Kundrra.
[in English] I am from Mumbai.

[upbeat heroic music playing]
[Tejasswi] My name is Tejasswi Prakash.
I was born in Mumbai.
[in Hindi] I'm an Indian actress.
[ethereal vocalising]
[upbeat heroic music resumes]
[in English] It was 2021,
and I decided to be a part
of India's biggest and most controversial
reality show, Bigg Boss.
[in Hindi] It was there that I met
Tejasswi Prakash as a fellow contestant.
[ethereal vocalising]
[in English] I was not her type.
She was not my type.
Today, it's four years,
we're still… dating.
Welcome to Dubai, baby!
[upbeat heroic music continues]
[ethereal vocalising continues]
[music fades]
[upbeat music playing]
[in English] Look at that.
[in English] I'm just, like, so not used
to this lifestyle here yet.
Just when we meet people,
like, I don't really, always
have to be a certain way and, like…
Of course, you be you, baby.
Listen, that's too much pressure,
that's not the world we're living in.
See, you be you, but in makeup.
- [laughs out loud]
- [playful music playing]
Ferrari.
The first thing that I see. It's a sign.
You can't just keep looking at cars, baby.
There's so much more to look at.
[light, tense music playing]
Coming to Dubai, uh,
[in Hindi] it's expected
that we must emulate,
or assimilate a certain lifestyle.
[Karan] To be honest,
it isn't too difficult. I like it.
[in English] But Teju…
She is not used to this at all.
When was the last time that you were here,
living here, like now?
I'm thinking about that.
Six or seven years.
[Tejasswi, in Hindi] When I'd come
to Dubai earlier, I'd live with my dad.
He had a one-bedroom apartment.
[in English] I always used to look around
these big buildings and these big villas,
and I used to just dream,
like, one day, I'll own a house here,
and live a life in Dubai
which doesn't even feel
like it's away from home.
[upbeat song playing]
[in English] I'm looking forward
to welcoming Karan and Tejasswi.
This is the first time
I'm inviting them to my house.
- [Karan] Hi! Hello!
- [Teja] Hello, doll!
- [Tejasswi] Hi!
- [Tabinda] Hi! Hello!
[Karan] Aah, there's Bella!
- Hi! How are you?
- Hi, I'm good. That's Tejasswi.
- Tejasswi. Nice to meet you.
- Good to see you.
- This is my sister, Hadia.
- Hi!
- [Teju, in baby voice] Hi!
- Give high-five!
- [Tejasswi] Mashallah, Bella!
- High-five!
- High five, yeah.
- So cute.
Oh my God! Bella is a doll.
I'm obsessed.
Let's go, Bella. Let's go.
- Let's do tap-tap! Come!
- [Satish] Tap-tap!
- [Bella cooing]
- What a cute dress, Bella!
- [Satish] Say bye-bye, Bella.
- [incoherent] Bye.
[music fades]
[in Hindi] You have a beautiful house.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
It's beautiful.
The view is beautiful too, no?
"I don't see the Burj Khalifa from here."
[in English] And then,
it… it just dawned upon me
that I'm inside the Burj Khalifa.
[Karan, in Hindi] Stuff like this happens
all the time in big cities.
What's up? How was the flight?
It was good.
It'll take a couple of days to adjust.
- But this is what it is.
- Absolutely, you move here.
Karan has told me a lot about you.
- I see.
- About Bella's party.
- [Binda] You couldn't come to the party.
- I couldn't, but the party was beautiful.
Thank you.
[in English] Birthday was fantastic.
We guys had a lot of fun.
[in Hindi] We had a grand celebration
for Bella's first birthday.
[in English] She entered
in a princess carriage.
[in Hindi] She was wearing a gold dress.
She wore a 24-carat gold jacket.
[lively music playing]
[in Hindi] The cake came down
from the ceiling,
and then we cut the cake.
So, all the dreams that we had for her,
we fulfilled them all.
- [Tejasswi] Oh, okay.
- An epic birthday so all of Dubai notices.
[in English] Of course.
[in Hindi] Everyone in Mumbai also knows
about that party now.
Bella is more famous than you, by the way…
…over there.
Bella is also getting a car soon.
Satish's ordered a birthday gift for her.
- Car for Bella?
- Bella's dad
ordered a pink Rolls-Royce for her.
- [in English] Like a mini version?
- No!
- It's a real Rolls-Royce.
- An actual Rolls-Royce!
- But it's--
- It's a customised car.
I have never heard
of gifts like this in my life.
[Karan] Oh, this pink. How nice!
[Tejasswi] It's a girl's dream.
[lively music playing]
[in Hindi] I think Satish ji
and Binda ji should adopt me,
so that I can have a pink Rolls-Royce too.
[in English] I love Bella.
[in Hindi] Any time I ask him,
"Whom do you love the most?"
He says he loves money the most,
and after that…
[Karan and Satish laughs]
Then he loves Bella!
- [in Hindi] You're not on the list?
- No, Binda comes third.
[all laugh]
[lively music playing]
- [indistinct]
- [in English] Thank you, Chef. Thank you.
[lively music continues]
- I heard some rumours about you two.
- [nervous laughter]
[in Hindi] We heard
you're getting engaged.
- [Tejasswi] Uh…
- [Karan] Huh?
How long have you guys been together?
- [Karan] Four years. Yeah.
- [in English] That's a long time together…
- [Tejasswi] Yeah.
- …without marriage.
I don't want to be stressed.
[in Hindi] We've moved to Dubai.
There's a lot going on. We're struggling--
You should settle down first.
It doesn't feel like we're away from home.
Especially today.
No, because you've brought up
our marriage so many times.
Our families in India do that too.
- They keep asking you to marry.
- [Teju] Yeah.
They keep telling us to get married.
"Oh, you like him. Just marry him."
Actually, after every couple of months,
the tabloids in India keep publishing
about our engagement or wedding--
So, it's true. Right?
[in English] It's not true.
[tense music playing]
- [in Hindi] Not yet.
- [in English] There's still time.
I swear to God.
[in Hindi] I'm fed up with these articles.
[in English] They've married us off,
I think, I don't know…
[in Hindi] If there is an engagement,
a wedding, a midlife crisis,
a surgery or kidney stone, I'll tell you.
Don't make assumptions.
Karan, does Tejasswi look after you well?
I mean, have you
accepted her as your wife?
- Tejasswi looks after herself very well.
- What are you doing?
Let me give you some tips.
I give Satish a foot massage every day,
before he wakes up.
[tense music playing]
- [in English] For real?
- [in Hindi] I do it every single day.
- [Binda] He wakes up like a prince. Yes.
- Is it true?
In fact, he opens his eyes only after
I've massaged his feet for 10-15 minutes.
[in English] Wow!
[Tejasswi] Keep at it.
[in Hindi] Keep massaging
his feet, Binda ji.
I'm never going to do that.
- And Satish has promised me… Tell them.
- [Satish laughs]
I've promised Binda that I'll weigh her
in gold on our 10th anniversary.
- [Teju] Oh, yeah.
- In gold.
Gold and Binda, side by side.
- You should eat more then. Eat more!
- [Binda] Eat more, so--
- Exactly!
- [Satish] I tell her to lose weight.
No!
[Satish] Binda never married me for money.
And I'm happy with Binda.
Binda has all the good qualities.
[in English] I have 40 kilos of gold.
Can you believe it?
- Already.
- [gasps]
[opulent orchestral music playing]
[Tabinda, in Hindi]
Actually, Satish loves to buy gold.
[in English] He buys me,
like, three kilos of gold
every year on Dhanteras, especially.
Binda is a gold queen.
I'll be very honest, that was weird,
because we don't come from a place
where you can openly talk
about these things.
[in Hindi] If we start talking like that,
the Income Tax guys would raid our place.
[music fades]
We have a nice group of friends here.
We're having a Holi party.
- Yes.
- You must come on time.
- [in English] Yes, definitely.
- Yes!
- [in Hindi] I'll introduce you to them.
- [Karan] Yes.
[in English] This is where you'll meet
the elites of the Indian community.
- [Teju] Oh!
- So, you have to come.
Here, you have to be very…
- proper… dressed.
- Dressed up.
- [Karan] You know?
- [in Hindi] Well, in Dubai,
no matter where you go,
you have to be nicely dressed.
[in English] Yes, exactly.
[in Hindi] It feels nice
when girls look at you.
- [Tejasswi gasps]
- [all laugh]
You're laughing?!
[playful music playing]
Just because Binda ji
and Satish ji live like this,
it doesn't mean that Karan and I
should be pressurised in any way
to be inspired by their lifestyle.
[in English] That's really just not me.
[in Hindi] We'll see you
at the Holi party.
[Satish] Karan is nice.
He's a wise man.
Both of them want to move to Dubai.
It's good for us.
We'll be in touch with Karan.
[upbeat song playing]
[goat bleating]
[lively music playing]
- [goat bleating]
- [in English] Perfect.
What is that sound?
[goat bleating]
- What? Oh, my God! What is that?
- [goat bleating]
[gasps]
Oh, my goodness!
Oh my God! [loudly] Lailli!
Oh my God!
A goat, literally, in a Louis Vuitton bag.
[Lailli gasps]
You're lying!
Oh, my goodness! He's so cute.
No!
- Wait, who sent this?
- What do you mean who sent this?
- Don't you know?
- Where did he come from?
You're so… Oh, my God,
the little Louis Vuitton necktie.
- I can't deal.
- Hi, baby!
The other day I posted a story, like,
"Where can I buy a mini goat?"
Because it's my ultimate dream
to be on a farm in couture.
And I get a bloody goat.
- You're such a good goat.
- Someone is literally
making a bakra out of you right now.
Someone was making a joke
out of Lailli. [laughs]
[lively music continues]
[Alizey] We live with our mum in Dubai.
Our mum founded Biolite.
We're one of the longest established
clinics in Dubai.
We are leaders in the industry.
I am the billboard.
- Clearly.
- [both laugh]
[upbeat song playing]
[Lailli] Binda basically told us
a star is coming today,
and I love being there
to meet celebrities.
But honestly, I had no idea who she was.
[music fades]
[upbeat music playing]
[Tejasswi] I'm here to get my face checked
before the Holi event.
What?
The second I arrived, I see a goat.
[high-pitched voice] Hi!
I don't think a goat is a good guard.
- [Tejasswi] Hi!
- Hi!
- Tejasswi! Nice to meet you.
- Hi, nice to meet you.
- Alizey! And this is my mom.
- Hi, Alizey.
- Hi, Tejasswi.
- That's your mom?
- [Alizey] Yeah!
- Hi!
- [in Hindi] How're you, Tejasswi?
- Very well. How're you?
- [in English] Good to see you.
- Hi!
Sorry. Lailli. Nice to meet you.
[Tejasswi] Oh, hi! Nice to meet you.
[Lailli] Tejasswi is so cute.
She walked in with a great energy,
and depending on how someone's energy is,
is how I react to them.
[music fades]
It's so nice to have you here.
Binda said you were gonna come.
Uh, yes, but before all of that,
what's with the goat?
- Oh.
- [playful music playing]
It's so cute!
[Lailli] I was asking the same question.
See, I posted on Instagram
that I wanted a goat,
and then some guy just sent me a goat.
I just want to know if he's going to
get me a Richard Mille next.
[playful music continues]
'Cause, like, I don't need a goat,
I need a new watch.
[forceful laugh]
[upbeat, heroic music playing]
[Binda] Today, I'm going to meet Pamala.
I know her through the social circle
we have in common.
[upbeat, heroic music continues]
It has been a long time
since I haven't met Pamala,
because Satish doesn't think
she's on the same level as us.
[upbeat, chic music playing]
[Pamala, in Hindi] Who is Pamala Serena?
[in English] I'm a complete diva.
Raised in the UK,
but I'm completely, 100% Punjabi Sardarni.
[in Hindi] I'm absolutely proud! Jai Ho!
[in English] I won the UAE World.
I'm their ambassador for peace.
And also, I create awareness
for women empowerment.
I have a business of properties
in London which I manage.
- [in sing-song voice] Hi!
- Hi, Pamala.
- How are you?
- I'm doing good.
- How are you?
- Oh, I missed you.
Oh, my hat.
[Pamala] Have you met Mochi?
No, I haven't seen him before.
It's a he or a she?
It's a he.
His name is Mochi. I do spoil him.
He has his own nanny, of course,
because he needs to be taken care of.
[in Hindi] He's wearing
such a cute outfit. You're twinning today.
- [in English] Aww, look at the watch.
- He's got a Bubba Watson on today.
You really put, like,
Richard Mille's as a dog collar?
Because Satish wears a Richard Mille
on his wrist, and he'll get really angry.
[music fades]
[in Hindi] What is he eating? Caviar!
- Yeah.
- [in English] No way.
- [Pamala] Of course, babe.
- Wow. [laughs]
[Binda] And he loves it.
[in Hindi] Babe, I'm, uh, super sorry,
I couldn't come to Bella's birthday.
Yes. I looked for you,
wondering where Pam was, I'd invited her.
You know what happened? I went to London.
and then I actually missed it.
[in English] And I missed
everything completely.
[in Hindi] I heard, whole world was there.
It got a lot of publicity.
When I saw the birthday on social media,
I was like, "Man! Missed that one!"
You know that Bella was born
after a really long time.
We've been through a lot.
I've had many failed IVFs.
- [in English] Yeah.
- [sombre music playing]
I went for IVF treatment.
It didn't work the first time.
[in Hindi] I must have done
around five or six IVFs in Dubai,
which failed.
[in English] And I did two IVFs in UK,
which also failed.
- [in Hindi] After how many years?
- Eight years since I started treatment.
[in English] Doctor said to me, "You know
what, Binda? You should give up."
[in Hindi] I cried a lot, thinking,
I don't have children,
I didn't know what to do.
[in English] And then I became pregnant
with Bella, naturally.
- [in Hindi] Bella is a miracle baby.
- [in English] Yeah.
[Binda] The moment when I held Bella
in my hands, it was out of this world.
I had every luxury, but this happiness
was different, that money couldn't buy me.
[in Hindi] It's difficult without a child.
[in English] You know
how Indian families are.
Yeah. You know what happened?
[in Hindi] They were like,
"You know, your friend, Binda,
- she has thrown such a lavish party!"
- Yeah.
[in English] "Don't you think
it's too much?" And I'm like, "Well, no."
Because they don't know the story.
You know what I mean.
- They don't.
- I was like, "No, not really."
They were like, "Don't you think
it's a bit much? It's a bit OTT!"
[in Hindi] People think it's showing off.
[in English] I said to people,
"You know what? It's up to them."
[in Hindi] "They can do what they want."
It's a Desi community.
Everything is flamboyant.
[in English] But we love it.
[upbeat music playing]
I'm so glad we had this meeting.
You know, that we connected again.
[in Hindi] You don't even go out much.
- I don't go out much.
- Yeah.
- Satish goes out a lot.
- [in English] Satish is outgoing.
[in Hindi] Why don't you go
to parties with him?
I've decided to spend time with Bella now.
Yes, but don't let him be alone too much.
[Pamala] I heard that Satish
was partying once with a big group.
[in English] And there's
a lot of women around and stuff.
[in Hindi] I don't know how she does it.
I would never leave my husband alone.
Imagine, he's partying while I am at home?
The girls here will pounce on him,
I swear.
He goes clubbing?
He goes clubbing.
He visits famous DJs when they come.
Satish likes spending time with girls.
[in English] Sometimes I feel jealous,
but I trust him.
I know those girls
are just there for the party.
[in Hindi] And everyone's
single over there.
- Yes.
- [in English] Majority of them.
[Binda] Yes.
Are they really happy?
[in Hindi] I don't know.
Only time can tell.
I hope you're coming to the Holi party.
Of course. I missed Bella's birthday.
I'm not going to miss
another function of yours.
I wonder who Satish has invited.
[in English] But from the Desi circle,
a lot of people are coming.
- [in Hindi] Rizwan ji is coming.
- I see.
He owns the Danube group.
- [in English] Yes, they're nice.
- [in Hindi] His son, daughter-in-law…
Karan is coming
with his girlfriend, Tejasswi.
You must have met Karan.
We've met once. Yeah.
You know the two sisters,
who run a skin clinic? Lailli and Alizey.
[in English] Oh, okay.
[tense tune plays]
Lailli.
[in Hindi] Is something wrong?
[both laugh]
- No, I don't know them so well.
- [Binda] Okay.
It was just, uh…
- Once, we had gone out.
- Okay.
My ex was there too,
and Lailli asked for his number.
- I see. Oh my God!
- She was like, "Excuse me,
please give me your number."
And he's like, "Umm…
- My girlfriend is right here."
- [Binda snickers]
I was like, "Okay,
I'm standing right here. Hello, I exist."
I mean, that incident that happened
gave me a setback. Like…
I didn't see any respect.
I can't tolerate that at all.
[clicks tongue] Nah, nah, nah.
[in English] No.
Not tolerating that at all.
Do you think
Lailli will recognise you at the party?
I don't know. I'm not sure.
Yeah, we'll have fun.
Seriously, I'm just surrounded by drama.
I wanna avoid it, but I just can't.
[in Hindi] Drama always pops up.
[both laugh out loud]
[playful music playing]
[Teju, in English] So, you're sisters?
[Alizey] We're twins.
[Teju] I mean, you all look similar.
Same surgeon.
We literally have different eggs,
but, like, same surgeon.
I have no issue being called plastic.
Plastic is fantastic.
[Alizey] Originally, we're Indian
with Iranian roots.
Our great, great, great-grandfather
was a Persian horse tradesman.
And he brought horses
from Shiraz in Iran to India.
I love to ride… horses.
- [horse neighs]
- [laughs]
[heroic music playing]
So, our dad worked with Vijay Mallya,
who is now no longer in India.
We don't actually know what happened.
We don't get involved.
But tell us about you. You're from…
- From Mumbai.
- Yeah, and you're not in Bollywood, right?
Not Bollywood,
but more like Hindi television.
Yeah, because Binda said
a celebrity is coming in,
so we're like, "Let's google who she is."
You guys stalked me?
- [playful music playing]
- [Alizey snickers]
So, how has your life been
since Bigg Boss?
It's been amazing.
You know I met my boyfriend there, right?
- We read that, yeah.
- No way!
Well, was that a real thing?
- Real--
- Or was it, like, staged?
- No, no! [laughs]
- You cannot fake it for four years now.
- Wait, four years? And no ring?
- [Teju] Four years.
[playful music playing]
I have a boyfriend,
but it's not necessary that I get married.
I mean, of course it affects me.
Of course, I do think about,
"Is it time for us to get married?"
I mean, even I don't know
if I'm getting engaged.
I feel like we've been living together,
we've been spending so much time together.
It's been so nice and smooth.
- So, it's like you're already married.
- [Teju] Yes.
I'm not clingy. I don't want to be.
[Lailli] We've read lots of,
like, rumours about Karan.
That he was cheating on his ex.
How did you get over that?
I mean, come on, we've all had our pasts.
- [Lailli and Alizey] Yeah.
- Okay?
Somebody's pasts are out there in public.
If he had cheated or not,
which, again, we don't know,
- because he's told me.
- Yeah.
Because he thought that,
"I don't care if the world knows,
you need to know the real thing."
If I knew someone was a cheater,
I wouldn't personally be with them.
Like, when you have a diamond at home,
why would you chase frogs?
- You also need to keep a track on him.
- No way.
You have to be so careful.
We're 29, unmarried and single.
We know how it is.
- And single?
- [both] Yeah.
[Tejasswi] So, you're looking?
Umm… Being committed to a man
who's not giving you enough is crazy.
[Lailli] The last time
I was in a serious relationship,
the initial heartbreak was hard.
I mean, both of our parents were like,
"Absolutely not."
We would never go against that.
This is why it just takes time
finding the right one.
[light laugh]
So, before we start anything,
one of the doctors will assess your skin.
- Okay.
- [Alizey] Looking at you,
I mean, I'd really recommend
either a salmon sperm
or the Korean glass skin facial,
- which is amazing.
- Yeah, yeah.
Shall we go?
[lively music playing]
- [Lailli] Oh my God. You look so good.
- [both sisters giggle]
- How's it going?
- [Tejasswi] Do I look better now?
No, you look insane.
How are you feeling?
- I'm feeling bubbly.
- [Lailli] Amazing.
I really have to ask.
This doesn't have any downtime, right?
- No, nothing at all.
- No.
- Do you have anything coming up?
- Yeah, I have the Holi event.
- You guys are coming, right?
- [Alizey] Yaay! I'm so excited!
Wait, so what are we wearing?
- Just white.
- [Lailli] Okay.
- Indian traditional, that's it.
- That's fun.
- Yeah, white.
- We love a traditional vibe.
- Yeah! [laughs]
- Enjoy, babe!
- See you! Bye!
- [Lailli] Bye.
[upbeat song playing]
[in Hindi] I love getting ready.
One should have good clothes.
No matter where I go,
perfection is a must.
[lively Hindi song playing]
We were about to meet the people
from the Indian community.
[in English] A bit nervous,
but we were looking forward to it.
Happy Holi!
- Hi!
- [Satish] Karan!
- [Karan] This is so beautiful.
- Happy Holi!
[lively Hindi song continues]
As a Maharashtrian family,
for me, Holi means colours.
And I love how colourful
everybody looks after a Holi party.
I'm not going to do that
with people here, especially Binda ji.
[in Hindi] I don't know how
she'd react if I put colour on her.
- [in English] I love his outfit.
- [Binda] Yeah, it's customised for him.
And they're not allowed to repeat.
[laughs] I hope they don't.
Oh, yeah, I thought you got them
to sign a bond,
- "You can never--"
- Uh, we did, actually.
[light, tense music playing]
[lively, heroic music playing]
- [Binda] Happy Holi!
- [Dyuti] Happy Holi, bro!
[indistinct conversation]
[in Hindi] I know Dyuti socially.
He's a very good friend.
He likes parties too.
But mostly,
people know him as Mr. Golden Visa.
- Hello.
- Hi, I'm Dyuti.
- [in English] Hi, I'm Karan…
- Hi, I'm Tejasswi.
- This is Dyuti.
- [Dyuti] Happy Holi!
Happy Holi! Happy Holi!
- Nice to meet you.
- Hi. Tejasswi. Nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you. Hi.
- [indistinct]
[woman] Happy Holi.
- [Tejasswi] Hi. Happy Holi.
- Hi. Happy Holi!
[in Hindi] Does Bhabhi speak Hindi?
She doesn't, but that's good for us.
[all boys laugh]
[in English] I like you already.
About Dyuti, the first thing
that I felt was that he's very chill.
[in Hindi] So, it was nice meeting him.
[upbeat, heroic music playing]
Oh!
- [squeals] Hi!
- [Karan talking indistinctly]
- [in English] I know you!
- [Sana laughs]
Adel and Sana, I'm so happy to see them.
I've known them before.
[in Hindi] Karan and I have booked
our apartments through Danube Properties.
[in English] I love your outfit.
- Thank you.
- [woman] Finally!
I'm the group managing director of Danube.
It's a 33-year-old company
started by my father, Rizwan Sajan.
- The most stunning woman in Dubai!
- [Teju] Stunning! I love your outfit.
We got married… Nine years.
I'm a proud mother
of three beautiful kids.
Adel ji is so soft-spoken,
and Sana ji,
his wife is the best person there is.
- [Karan] Hello! How are you?
- Very good.
So good to see you.
- Long time. You're looking good.
- Yes, extremely long time.
[intriguing music playing]
[upbeat, chic music playing]
- [Lailli] Hi!
- [Alizey] Hi.
- Hi! How are you?
- [indistinct]
Where is your man?
- I want to meet your man.
- He.
[Lailli] You're the boyfriend.
We've heard so much about you.
I hope good things.
I've been waiting to see the man
that has stolen Tejasswi's heart.
He's very charming,
he's very sweet, very engaging.
- And I like that.
- [Satish, in Hindi] Everyone's here.
- Let's start the party.
- [Dyuti] Yes. Let's go.
["Balam Pichkari"
by Pritam Chakraborty playing]
[man, in English] Oh, wow!
["Balam Pichkari"
by Pritam Chakraborty continues]
[cheering loudly]
[Binda, in English]
Usually, Holi is celebrated with colours
which go on your clothes,
and they never come off.
So, this is the reason why
we thought we'd throw petals instead.
[song continues]
Holi is celebrating… good defeating evil.
And it is also the celebration
of love between Radha and Krishna.
["Balam Pichkari"
by Pritam Chakraborty continues]
Everyone into the mood, wanting to dance.
[Tejasswi] Happy Holi!
[boys, loudly] It's Holi!
[lively music playing]
[Satish] Thank you, everyone.
Thank you for coming.
[in Hindi] I hope
you enjoyed the Holi party.
- [man, in English] Had a good time.
- And, I appreciate it.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you!
- This was amazing.
- Having a great time.
- [woman] Thank you for having us.
- Thank you.
Your party is as beautiful as you are.
And you're all amazing.
[in Hindi] You all danced and had fun.
- [woman, in English] Such a good start--
- Especially to our journey, here in Dubai.
So Sana, you haven't been showing up
very much in the events lately.
Haven't seen you.
- Is everything okay?
- Yeah.
- I had a little procedure last Monday.
- [man] Oh!
It looks a little-little,
but it's not really little.
So, I was diagnosed
with thyroid cancer last September.
[woman] Oh my God.
[sombre music playing]
[Sana] It was a malignant tumour
on both sides of my thyroid.
[in Hindi] When I learnt of it,
I wasn't scared at that moment.
Because I knew what lay ahead of me.
[in English] To tell you honestly, when
I was notified about the real diagnosis,
the only thing I thought
about was my kids.
You think about
why you want to value your life,
and what matters for you at that moment.
I don't wanna put it in the bad news way.
It is great news that we're over it.
- Yes.
- It's done?
- [in Hindi] All over?
- [Sana, in English] Yeah, so…
- [Teju] What a strong woman.
- [man] You're very brave.
[Karan] Very brave.
- [Sana] Thank you.
- More power to you.
Sana is brave.
[man] No, she really is.
The journey has been amazing.
My husband's, like, really, really…
I can't even tell you
how supportive he is in every way.
He's more than what I can even imagine.
[in Hindi] I'm very lucky
to have a wife like Sana.
[in English] Because she not only
makes sure that I'm happy,
my kids are happy, my family is happy.
[lively music playing]
- Do you want some salad? Do you guys have?
- No, we have.
- Yeah.
- Guys, I have an extra plate.
Those empty chairs better be for the bags.
Do you have any surprises for us?
My bag is on the chair.
There's no way you're moving your bag.
Occupied. [laughs]
[upbeat, intriguing music playing]
[Pamala] I'm super excited
for the Holi lunch.
I'm meeting everybody.
Lailli's here.
Does she remember me?
Or doesn't she?
That's the question.
[people laughing among themselves]
[Sana] It was hilarious.
And then, I'm like… Muah!
[Pamala] Hello, everybody.
- How are you? Hi!
- [Satish] Hi, Pamala.
[in Hindi] Suddenly, a lady walks in.
In my mind,
I hear the background music play "Nika…"
- [Komolika's theme music playing]
- [scatting Komolika's theme]
[laughs]
[in English] Happy Holi!
[Satish] Pamala is good.
[in Hindi] I don't know much about her.
But I do know what she's capable of.
[in English] I'm so sorry, I'm late.
[in Hindi] I felt
like Komolika had entered.
As soon as she came, she changed the vibe.
Just like the vibe would change
when Komolika entered a scene.
- [in English] Happy Holi.
- [Pamala] Oh my God! You look beautiful.
[Binda] Come, let me introduce you
to everyone. Come.
- Hi. How are you?
- So, this is Adel and his wife, Sana.
- Of course I know them.
- You know them?
- Nice to meet you.
- How are you? Hello, guys.
- Dyuti and his wife.
- Hi!
- Hello.
- [Binda] Karan, you already know.
- Hello.
- [Tejasswi] Hi, nice to meet you.
Hi. Sorry, I was eating.
- Hi.
- And these are the two gorgeous sisters.
- Hi. Alizey.
- [Binda] Alizey.
- Hi.
- And Lailli.
Lailli. Nice to meet you.
Have we met before?
[tense music playing]
- Don't think so.
- [Pamala] No?
Okay, I thought we met before.
[Lailli] I don't know her.
I have no idea who she is.
Hi!
[tense music continues]
Obviously, I know Lailli because
of the incident that happened with my ex.
And I wanted to check if she knew me,
but she said she didn't know me.
I'm sure you'll remember soon,
don't you worry.
Are you sure we haven't met before?
Maybe.
- You look so familiar.
- Really?
Pamala, the other day you told me
you remember them.
[tense music continues]
[Lailli] You mentioned to someone
that you know me?
Why would you come up to me
and be like, "I think I know you"?
[dramatic music playing]
I will show you the true colours
of everybody.
The truth always comes out in the end.
[ethereal song playing]
