Wow.
We're really here.
19 celebrities arrived to play
the ultimate murder mystery
This is life or death, isn't it?
..all in the hope of winning
up to a £100,000
for their chosen charity.
What's happening?
Something is afoot.
SCREAMING
But they quickly learnt
that in this game
Oh, God. Oh, no,
they're all our names.
..there is no special treatment.
Oh, God, it's disgusting.
I have a Shield, I have a Shield.
Got a Shield. Shield!
Shield!
Three Traitors were chosen
What am I going to do?
..and an epic first mission
SHE SQUEALS
I've locked it in
and I didn't mean to.
..put players in the firing line.
ALL CHEER
Clare pulling that lever is exactly
what a Traitor would do.
Suspicions intensified
I am suspicious of Kate
a little bit.
With her Shield,
I don't think she ever, like,
really had it out on show that much.
No, she didn't. She didn't.
Niko, I think.
There's something about the way
he looked at everybody, but then
He was looking quite intensely.
He was looking tense.
..and the Traitors
took on a treacherous task.
"Tonight you must
murder in plain sight."
"Rub your hands with
the poisoned pollen"
"..and touch the face of the
Faithful you want to murder."
Oh, God.
But who will be the first
to be murdered?
This is The Celebrity Traitors.
# Ooh, ooh
# It happens in the shadows
# No-one has to know #
Tonight, they will choose who
they're going to kill,
made more difficult by
today's great effort. Yeah.
I've got this poisoned pollen
on my hands
but I don't know who to murder.
It's not going to be easy.
HE SIGHS
Ooh, 'ello.
Does anyone want another cuppa?
Oh, I might grab one in a minute,
actually. I might.
I'm going to come for a cuppa.
Come and have a cuppa. Bye.
SHE LAUGHS
I don't trust any of them.
No, me neither.
THEY LAUGH
Oh, my God.
I definitely trust you.
Well, I trust you.
# There's something
in the shadows #
Clare is the biggest threat,
cos she's one of the moremost
intelligent, probably.
Yeah.
I'm really up against the clock.
How am I going to touch
someone's face?
I'm just going to
hand out my desserts.
I'm going to go to the firepit.
Did he get that thing?
Oh, God, he's out there.
Why's he out there?
Now, this is nice.
Guys, look what I made us -
a little
Oh, it's Oh, my God.
There's French Oh, thanks.
Lovely warmth.
Yes. And again.
Alan tipped me the wink.
I might have to talk to him
about keeping it on the lowdown.
I'm not sure who he's killed yet,
but either way, the deed is done.
Look at that. I've got a button
on top of a marshmallow.
Who would have thought of
such a delicacy?
# There's something
in the shadows #
BELL TOLLS
Off I go, my darlings.
Night-night, Stephen.
And let me pray that I will
see you all in the morning.
Yes.
I'm telling youYeah.
Me - Faithful.
Me too. Genuine?
Yeah! Oh, God, it's too much.
Erm, I hope I'll see you tomorrow.
Yeah. I hope I see you, too.
Oh. It's been beautiful tonight.
I hope they don't kill me. Yes.
Night-night, my love.
I hope I see you tomorrow.
Lots of love, bye-bye.
Night, darling.
If I die tonight Oh!
..goodbye.
I adore you all.
Paloma Faith, I love you.
# There's something
in the shadows #
With the Faithful departed,
unaware that a murder
in plain sight has taken place,
it's time for the Traitors to meet
to reflect on their first kill.
# You're no good, you're no good
You're no good
# Baby, you're no good #
Oh, I am a bad person.
Well, what a day.
You're not a bad person,
you're a good Traitor.
Who was it?
I'm just going to hand
out my desserts.
We'llwe'll follow behind.
Oh, lovely.
We'll come soon.
Do you like what I made? They're
beautiful. I made this earlier.
They look French.
ALAN CHUCKLES
You've got a bit of hair
in your face.
OK. There you are, there you go.
It's gone. Fabulous, darling.
Oh, no. Oh, my God.
Lovely Paloma Faith.
I feel awful.
But I didn't know what else to do.
I've gone and murdered
one of my best friends.
I thought, "Shall I do it?
Cos I really like her."
But I thought, there's no I'm
never going to get the opportunity.
It broke my heart.
You've got to toughen up.
I don't want to hear any more of
this broken-heart nonsense.
I know, I know.
What are you? What are you?
I'm a Traitor.
What are you? Traitor.
We've got to start enjoying this.
I know. Yeah, we do.
It's going to be hard seeing
Paloma's face at breakfast tomorrow,
but Alan has executed
that perfectly.
One Faithful down.
Well done.
The deed is done.
Last night, the Traitors murdered
Paloma in plain sight.
However, unbeknownst
to the Faithful,
everyone will turn up
to breakfast,
as the poisonous pollen
is yet to take its deadly effect.
# Oh, sinnerman
Where you gonna run to?
# Sinnerman
Where you gonna run to? #
Oh, wow!
Are we the first?
We're the first ones.
Oh, I have survived.
This is an incredible feeling.
I did not sleep well last night
cos I thought I might get killed.
Now I can take a deep sigh of relief
and just enjoy the day
and study everyone.
Joe and I had shields, but you
guys must be feeling amazing.
Oh, God, yeah.
Now you can actually eat.
Yeah. Cos you're relieved.
We can, like, breathe now.
It was really scary
walking into breakfast
because you have to play dumb,
but not too dumb.
So, it's a real juggling act.
This is all free, right?
Leave a pound.
CLARE LAUGHS
Charge you later, Joe.
Who do we think might be dead?
So, the shields were
Celia, Joe Marler, you,
me and Jonathan
we know it won't be.
KNOCK ON DOOR
Oh! Oh, my God. Hello, come in.
Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God.
Hey. Hi.
THEY CHEER
Good morning!
I was nervous to see if I made it,
you know, to breakfast.
You know, it'd be pretty terrible
going on an all-inclusive
to the Traitors castle and then
you don't even get
a croissant out of it.
The tension of waiting
is just horrendous.
Oh, horrible, horrible.
I first go through the door,
"Oh, my God.
"You're still alive, you haven't
been murdered."
And, of course, I know
none of them have been murdered
but, at the minute, I'm just going
to carry on what I'm doing,
being super friendly,
being a little bit, "Ooh"
Quite dithery.
I can't wait to be murdered and just
take that minging photo down.
Why was I staring in the sun?
I think you look strangely
sexy in that.
Oh, thank you.
S Emphasis on strange.
Who's not here yet?
It's kind of weird at the breakfast
because everyone's waiting
for the end, when they're going to
see that someone's dead
and, of course, no-one's gone,
so, as long as we don't act
any differently
when the deed has been revealed,
I think we're in the clear.
So, that's actually quite
a restful morning.
Ruth, have you got any suspicions?
Nothing solid. You're not No.
So, who's in your Will I give you
a name and you give me a name?
OK, three, two, one.
Who?
Yeah.
Do you think that there's a Traitor
in this room right now?
Law of averages says has to be.
Almost don't look at the door.
Look at whoever goes the loudest -
"Oh, my God, it's" Yeah.
Yeah.
That's my number one.
It's mainly cos of something I saw
when they took the eye patches off.
There was an over-reaction
to the word Faithful.
It was a real
It was that.
BANGING ON DOOR
Oh. Oh, hello.
Oh, hang on.
Woo!Yeah. Who's this?
Yes!
Who else? Who else? Who else?
Ah!
You made it.
Paloma.
Paloma!
Oh, my God.
I was so happy
and, like, relieved.
It was really nice to see
the reaction of everyone
who was pleased to see you as well,
and I thought,
"Oh, thank goodness not to be
the first one dead."
I'm so happy to see you.
I'm so happy to see you.
I didn't avoid eye contact
with Paloma
because I thought people are going
to be lookingfor the
..any sort of changes in behaviours,
so I just looked at her and I was
just like,
"I'm so happy to see you,"
and she was like,
"I'm so happy to see you."
Oh, God, I'm awful.
Who's missing?
Nick. Lucy.
Stephen.
And then Celia.
Oh, my God.
It's not Celia,
cos she's got a Shield.
It's very unlikely to be Stephen,
so it's between Nick and Lucy.
Yeah. No.
No! Oh
LAUGHING:Oh, God, I'm taking this
way too seriously.
Oh.
Oh, knock on that door, come on.
KNOCK ON DOOR
Oh! Oh. Oh-oh-oh.Yes.
THEY CHEER
That's everyone. That's everybody.
That's everyone.
That's everybody. Is it?
Yeah.
What in the?
That's all of us.
Oh, thank goodness.Oh, for
Nick, Nick, Nick.
Hey, maybe someone was recruited.
Maybe someone's been recruited.
Hello. What?
Obviously, I've murdered
someone in plain sight
and it's a slow-working poison,
so I had to pretend - "What?!"
"They're all down here?
But I thought someone was murdered."
What happened?
It was a stretch for
my acting ability.
I don't know how
Meryl Streep does it.
No-one's been murdered.
No, we're all alive!
I feel like Kate was being
a lot louder than usual.
I just I don't
I don't know, there's something
There's something a little bit off.
I never thought I'd care this much.
Cos everyone was feeling so tense.
Yeah, we were all building up
to this horrible moment.
STEPHEN GASPS
Here we go.
Here we go. Order!
Oh, gosh.
Good morning, players.
Morning. Morning. Good morning,
darling. Morning, Claudia.
Everyone is here,
present and correct.
It appears that nobody has died.
But appearances can be deceptive.
Oh
The Traitors did strike
for the first time.
And yesterday they murdered
one of you in plain sight.
Oh, no. No!
What? No. In plain sight?
What? What did they do?
I knew that
So, whilst the murdered player
sits amongst you all
GASPING AND LAUGHING
Oh!
Oh, no.
..by the end of today's mission,
they will be dead.
Oh, my goodness. Oh, no, don't.
So, enjoy your breakfast
ALAN CHUCKLES
..if you can,
then please put on your mourning
attire and meet me outside shortly.
What the heck?
Mourning with a "U", I think.
Oh, I don't like this.
That's quite a twist.
Do you think somebody did
something unusual?
It would have had to have been
unusual enough
for it to feel risky, wouldn't it?
PEACOCK CALLS
Morning, Luce.
How are you? I don't like this.
I don't like it at all.
Shall we go and sit in here?
Why don't we?
Goodness gracious me!
I bet you it's in a chapel.
What do you mean?
Oh, cos of mourning. Mourning wear.
Yeah. Yeah, it's not morning attire,
it's mourning.
How do you know?
You know, to mourn.
It's M-O-U-R-N-I-N-G.
Yeah, but Claudia
didn't say it like that.
She said,
"Wear your mourning attire."
Yeah. Yeah. So, could be
But she didn't spell it.
No. No. So, how do you know?
Stephen had the same idea,
and I'll believe Stephen.
Cos I actually Yeah, actually,
fair enough, then.
To actively murder someone, you have
to give them something or
We need to see who gets murdered
and then work backwards and see
what they were doing -
if they were acting weirdly,
if they had
Or who gave them that glass.
Oh, no, I feel bad, I feel bad,
but you know, Ru
Did you see Ruth
with the marshmallows?
The marshmallows? She came round
with the marshmallows.
Well, no, no.
That was So that was my idea.
We just brought it down to the fire,
do you remember?
OK, yeah,
I'm just thinking off the top
But you couldn't control who would
eat from it, could you?
No, no, no.
I feel like I had so little
..few interactions yesterday
that I don't feel like I was got.
Every single thing that happened
yesterday could have been that.
Who Niko hugged me goodbye.
Niko hugged you goodbye?
Yeah, he was like,
"Oh, can I hug you?"
My number-one suspect.
But isn't it obvious, cos that's
what his whole career's built on?
I suspect. He's the kind of person
who Exactly!
So maybe it's too obvious,
you mean?
I mean, what else,
though? What else could it be?
I'm not sureof anything. Yeah.
And that's what
they like to do to us.
There are so many possibilities
of what murder in plain sight
might entail, whether it could be
to give you a letter, or,
"Oh, have a look at this book.
What do you think it?"
You know, it could be anything.
Jonathan had briefly mentioned
that my name had come up
and I was like,
"What?! As a Traitor?"
It was, erm It was a surprise.
Shall we sit here?
Look, people like Niko, Lucy
or David
could fly under
the radar really easily.
Yeah.
They're the little sweet ones.
Yeah.
Cos you always think of a Traitor
as being this cunning killer.
Hey, guys, you good? Hello.
Yeah, we're good. How are you?
Yeah, we're great.
I love the green.
Oh, thank you.
It's beautiful.
Have Have you noticed anything
weird, either of you?
SHE EXHALES
It's so hard to tell at this point
because everyone worked
so well together on their mission.
Why, have you noticed anything?
No, I'm just retracing everything
that happened,
but one thing which I am thinking is
very smart is,
now we're all thinking about this
instead of who the Traitors are.
It's, "Oh, OK, who's been murdered?"
Well, I don't know about you guys,
but I am.
Yeah, totally.
Ooh, that's interesting.
I didn't see it from
that perspective. Mm, yeah.
Oh, goodness!
Fearful stuff. Fearful stuff.
Oh, no.
Yeah. Stirring the pot there.
Yeah.
I wonder whether the Traitors
were also surprised
when the person that they've chosen
to murder walked in.
I wish I was looking at Kate's
face when she went,
"Wait, what? Why are they not dead?"
You know what I mean?Yeah.
Cos it was
Straight away Kate went,
"Oh, there must have been
a recruitment," like, to try and
People may think of me
as just an athlete,
when actually, I like to think of
myself as somebody
that is very observant
and can think about
lots of things all at once.
The clever ones.
Oh! No.
THEY LAUGH
We wish!
Somebody is dead now.
I know.Walking around.
Walking Well, not
We Could we be dead?
You can't, cos you've got a Shield
and I've got a Shield.
I could, I ain't got
I didn't have a Shield.
Yeah.You could be dead.
I could be dead.
I am on the inside.
Please, don't, don't, don't, don't.
ALAN LAUGHS
JONATHAN:Who do you trust?
Charlotte, I trust.
Yeah. No, well, I don't, you see.
Why?
What?!
She gave up her Shield very
quickly.
That would be a very good
move for a Traitor,
because she doesn't need it anyway.
But can we just say, she is a very
nice person. Maybe it was that.
She's adorable,
but that's the point, don't you see?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes.
And she's very bright
and very quick.Yeah.
And you have to be.
I don't trust you, you see.
What?! I'm sorry, Joe.
You're very clever.
You see? And you would be a very
unlikely choice for a Traitor
because you're so adorable.I know.
You do have to watch people
very carefully.
The Traitors who are here
are being so smart
because I can't really tell.
I'm beginning to suspect everyone.
But you are right, even though
you're accusing me.
But, yeah, if you're being really
clever, you have to go
Ignore the people you think it might
be, and go the other way,
and then I reckon
you've got more chance.
Exactly!
I know, that's why I'm sat here
surrounded by three Traitors.
THEY LAUGH
I am, in my day-to-day life,
very weak-willed.
I'm a sheep, erm, but in this game,
I'd like to put my best foot forward
and hunt down a Traitor with,
erm, such vigour
that it frightens people.
THUNDER RUMBLES
With the Faithful still speculating
about last night's murder
in plain sight,
the players must now come together
for their next mission.
But for poisoned Paloma,
the end of her time is drawing near.
We came out of the castle to see
Claudia resplendent on horseback,
in front of a rather more worrying
sight of three coffins.
I was just, likeshocked.
There's three coffins.
Joe Marler's not going to get in
one of those, is he?
It's all starting to feel
a little bit real.
We actually have murdered someone.
Dearly beloved players,
we are gathered here today
to pay our respects
to our first murdered Faithful.
A high-profile death
deserves a high-profile funeral.
You might be wondering
why there are three coffins.
All will be made clear.
For one of you,
death is incredibly close.
Now follow me.
We're going on a little walk.
Oh, my God, it just
feels very forbidding.
Macabre, morbid, desperately gloomy,
and we know that at the end of it,
someone's not coming back with us.
Wow!
The heart is a-racing.
I don't usually get nervous, but I'm
starting to get a little bit shaky.
HE EXHALES
KITE CRIES
SOMBRE VOCALISING
Oh, my God, that's really creepy.
SOMBRE VOCALISING
VOCALISING CONTINUES
That was cheery.
Players, welcome back
to the graveyard.
Oof! On day one,
you dug your own graves.
Today, our first murdered Faithful
will be laid to rest here.
Players, your mission today
is to correctly identify
which Faithful has been murdered
by answering a series of clues.
The clues will whittle down
the potential victims to three
..the murdered Faithful
and two other players
the Traitors chose to lie
alongside themjust for fun.
Oh!
Oh, God!
The Traitors
could have also chosen themselves
to lie in the coffins.
Oh!
Celia, Kate, Joe Marler,
Joe Wilkinson and Jonathan,
you have shields, so you are safe.
The rest of you
thoughts and prayers.
Wow! Thanks.
So, to clarify, you need to solve
clues to work out
which three players
belong in these coffins.
For each player
you correctly identify,
I will add £3,000 to the prize fund.
That means a total of £9,000
is up for grabs today.
But each time you request
an additional clue,
money will be deducted.
I will now hand over to the choir
for the first clue.
THUNDER CRACKS
Has any of the actors died?
Because nobody here's
Yeah, several times. Kicked
the bucket means Yeah, died.
Kicked the bucket out of sight.
Might as in strength? Yeah,
but Joe's got I was thinking Joe
but he's got a Yeah, but he's got
a Shield. He's got a Shield.
But then I guess we've all chased
goals. Do we want to hear
a second clue, just in case?
I think we should, yeah.
We're not definitive, are we?
No. No.
My strategy was to act like
I didn't know the answers
and I was
as confused
as the rest of the group.
OK, here is the second clue,
but it does mean you'll lose £500.
Ballot box. Ballot box.
Oh, is it Niko?
Oh, my goodness me. It's Niko.
When it came out with
the ballot box, I instantly knew
it was Niko because he famously
ran for London Mayor.
Oh, my God!
Are we agreed, everyone? ALL:Yes.
So, Niko, please lie in the coffin.
It's the first time in a coffin.
Oh, Niko!
Oh!
Oh, no!
I can think of nothing worse
than going out on the first murder.
I just I Like, now the fear
level has gone up even more.
My paranoia is spiralling.
Niko, I can tell you,
that coffin does belong to you.
CHEERING
£2,500 banked.
If we put Niko into one
of the boxes Yeah. Mm-hm.
..who we know there is heat on
already,
then it might be enough for one of
them to say, "His name's come up."
That's what people are like,
they are second-guessing,
so I think that's a really good
call. And they've struggled
to trust him because of the videos
that he makes on YouTube.
His name has come up a lot.
Niko, I'm afraid your time with us
may soon be over.
Oh!
When Niko got in that coffin,
he actually looked quite sad,
and that made me feel quite bad
and a bit guilty.
On to the next coffin.
"With laughter and jest." Alan's
got a radio show, it's Airwaves.
I did Radio 2 for years.
I think it might be me.
I've got a podcast
and I've done Taskmaster.
Oh, I haven't done, I haven't
Task I haven't done a task
I've had a Radio 4 series
and I was on Taskmaster.
It had the word
"task" in and "airwaves"
and I thought, "Could that be me?"
But Nick thought it was about him.
And was your Was the radio show
a comedy? A comedy, yeah.
Shall we do second clue? I think
we have to do second clue.
Second clue, please.
You would like a second clue?
Yeah. Yeah.
NICK:It's me. It's me.
To my horror, the next clue,
space rocket, the Apollo 11,
was brought out and I was like,
"Well, that's me."
Oh, it's Nick. Oh, it's Nick.
It is Nick.
Have you made your decision
or would you like another clue?
We've made our decision. Yeah.
You've made your decision.
Who do you think
this coffin belongs to?
Mr Nick Mohammed. Nick.
Nick Mohammed, please.
It was horrible getting
into the coffin and, um, yeah,
I've never got into a coffin before,
obviously,
so it was just quite
ominous and surreal.
If you get this correct,
you will bank £2,500.
Before I reveal
if you guessed correctly,
I am going to show you
the third clue.
THUNDER CRASHES
What's in it? A boat! A boat.
A boat? It's pointing
to the yellow Oh! Yello.
Oh, no, it can't be me,
that's the hull of a boat
but I've got nothing to do with
Apollo.
From Hull. But why a spaceship
for Lucy Beaumont?
Oh, it's me, then.
I wonder if it's
I had a show called Space Mam.
ALL: Oh!No!
So it's me. Lucy! This is awkward.
I've played at the Apollo.
Ah, it's me. So it's Hull,
Live At The Apollo,
I was on Taskmaster and I've got
a podcast It's too late,
disnae matter, it's too late.
Nick?Yeah. I can tell you
that that is not your coffin.
DISAPPOINTED GROANS
It is not your time to die yet.
Oh, after all that.
I'm so sorry.
The coffin was chosen for Lucy.
Oh! Lucy! Lucy!
Here's something, though.
Is it worth putting someone quieter?
Like who? Like Lucy?
And then we can just say,
"You are quiet, Lucy.
"You're so far under the radar."
Yes. Oh, yes.
I can't really compare the coffin
to anything I've experienced before.
I once fell asleep
in a wheelie bin. That's about
That's about it.
Players, by guessing incorrectly,
I'm afraid you haven't banked
any money for this coffin.
I'm sorry I got it wrong
but it's just Airwaves was a bit
No, no, we're sorry
it's you in the coffin as well.
We should blame the Traitors
cos they must have known
and they could have stepped forward
and steered us.
We knew that it was
meant to be her but, of course,
if we'd have intervened,
we'd have given ourselves away.
It's time to find out who the third
and final coffin belongs to.
They said it was
Says, "The story is done,
"but your words live on."
Is it Charlotte?
I hope my story's not done.
LAUGHTER
The next clue. Her story's not done.
It's still worth getting another
clue, isn't it? Yeah, second clue.
The second clue
for the final coffin. Here it comes.
School tie. A school tie.
Is it a school tie?
St Trini Is it you, Paloma?
St Trinian's?
But Celia, me and Stephen
were in St Trinian's. Ah, yes.
Well, it could be black and white,
it could be Newcastle.
Newcastle?
Yeah, which could be me.
I'm from Newcastle
and it looked like
Newcastle United colours.
I was convinced it was me.
But I think we should get
a third clue.
We think it's David
but we want a third clue. Yeah.
So, you'd like a third clue?Yeah.
You'll lose another £500.
What is that? Hearts, it's a heart,
like heart badges.
Plasters on the hearts. Broken
hearts? Has anyone got a song
called Plaster On The Heart?
Only Love Hurts Like This.
Yeah. Oh!
Yeah, but I don't understand
why the tie St Trinian's.
..but could be St Trinian's. And
then You found your thing
in the big smoke, but you're
a Londoner. I am from London.
What's "the story's done
and her words still spoke"?
But that is
Only Love Can Hurt Like This. Right.
And that looks St Trinian's-y.
It is me, I think.
It's the St Trinian's tie.
It has to be Paloma.
Have you made your decision?
Paloma. Paloma. Me.
PalomaYeah. ..step forward.
Oh, no, don't say that!
God, what a grim day.
I've no idea
what's going on right now.
All I hear is the rain
and my heart beating really,
really fast in my chest.
It might It's one of you. It
might not be you. Might not be you.
There's only one.
I feel so bad
seeing Paloma get in the coffin.
I mean, she actually looks at me and
I look at her and she's like, "Oh!"
And I'm like, "Yeah,
I popped you in that coffin."
I can now reveal that
the third coffin belongs to
..Paloma.Yeah! Woo!
Congratulations. You banked £2,000.
Well done, everyone.
You correctly guessed two players.
You've won £4,500
for the prize fund.
But that's horrible,
though, cos that means
one of the three are going.
I was terrified for whoever was
getting murdered, but there was
a part of me that could just have
a little sigh of relief
because it wasn't going to be me.
There is one last question
to answer, and it is a big one.
Oh!
As a group, you must now decide
who of these three
did the Traitors murder
in plain sight?
Oh, God!
If you guess correctly,
I will give you an extra £4,000.
4,000!
Once you've decided,
you must place this wreath
at the foot of their coffin.
You may start your discussion now.
OK, vote, vote.
Put it to a vote.
Right. That's the fairest way
to do it, cos we've no clue.
OK, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I think Ruth
is right, we should vote. Yeah.
OK, hands up forPaloma.
I'm stuck between
a rock and a hard place.
Obviously I know
the answer's Paloma,
but if I say it's Paloma
then I'm going to have heat on me.
One.
OK. Hands up for Lucy.
There's no point in taking a vote
for Niko. How many for Niko?
PALOMA:I think it's me,
though, I do.
Tell me who you're locking in.
Lucy. Lucy. Lucy.
Oh, Lucy-Lu!
Thank you, Mark.
According to you, Lucy has been
murdered by the Traitors.
If you are right, £4,000
will be added to the prize pot.
But have you guessed
the murder victim correctly?
We are about to find out.
This is really sad.
ALL EXCLAIM
What? Oh, Paloma, you were right.
That is flabbergasting.
It was Paloma.
Bye-bye, Paloma. Love you, Paloma.
Paloma is dead.
Rest in peace.
PALOMA:# Don't ask me #
We love you, Paloma!
# ..What you know is true #
I thought that I wasn't going to get
emotional but I feel really sad.
# ..I love your precious heart #
Oh, my God.
Goodbye, sweet Paloma.
It's been really
a wonderful experience.
I just wish it had been longer,
but I guess that just leaves me
to say that this is now goodbye.
# ..And they could never
tear us apart #
I'm feeling really sad,
actually, truthfully.
She was such a joy.
Our sunshine's gone.
Would anybody like to say
a few words?
Alan, you knew her the best, why
don't you say something about her?
Yeah. Oh, well
Well, I think I think we're all
going to miss her, really.
The biggest irony is,
for someone who was so full of life,
and then to end like this,
it just doesn't feel fitting
and, er, I think
we're going to miss her.
And we will avenge her death!
Yes! Yeah! We're going to get some
Traitors, ain't we? Yes, we are!
CHEERING
It's been a dramatic day.
I have to tell you,
it might also be a dramatic night.
Now get back to the castle.
I'll see you later.
Paloma, I'm sorry we killed you.
It was absolutely nothing personal.
For you, it was wrong time,
wrong place,
wrong game.
PALOMA:# ..And they could
never, ever tear us apart #
You, Alan, were really close
to Paloma. Yeah.
So how are you feeling?
We really did have a bond and,
obviously, you know, I hate goodbyes
at the best of time,
but what a goodbye, you know
I think Paloma's murder
has thrown everyone off my scent.
I'm getting a lot of sympathy,
"Are you all right?"
"I know Paloma was close to you."
Paloma's murder's my Shield
cos people just think,
"Oh, Alan wouldn't do that
to his good friend!"
If you were a Traitor, right,
who's the least likely person
to have killed Paloma?
Someone she's close to. Exactly.
Oh, you're talking about Alan.
I'm talking about Alan.
So you're suspicious of Alan
right now? No, I'm just saying,
that's the least likely person
to have killed her
but it's also therefore something
you have to consider. Yeah.
If a Traitor's name comes up,
I will defend them as much as I can,
but not to my own detriment.
Any thoughts?
I hate to say it,
but I think Clare and Kate.
Clare? Let me tell you about Kate.
I feel Kate is a Traitor.
Really? Kate's a Traitor.
I see it and I feel it.
I watched everybody
to see people's reactions.
The person that I had in my head
was Tameka.
Oh, that's interesting.
Tameka and Kate both sort of did
a "ohhh", you know, thing.
I'd already started
my narrative about Tameka,
so I thought,
"Well, that fits, that fits."
I just don't think I'm going to go.
First? No, to the Round Table.
Oh! Just going to
I'm going to hide
under the Round Table.
HE LAUGHS
PEACOCK CRIES
There's 18 of us now.
Oh, dear!
My gosh!
Let's go in the, um, library?
Or the bar?
Maybe in the bar?
Poor Paloma. Yeah.
It was really shocking, wasn't it?
It was.
I feel like
..I have to defend myself
properly now Yeah.
..because I think there's now
a lot of eyes on me, which is
Yeah, I see what you mean. Mm.
The one thing which the Traitors
will do is plant seeds.
Whoever is being brought up
into the conversations continuously,
that's probably the Traitors
who have done that.
"Who can we put in the coffin
who's going to
"..who everyone's going to look at?"
Yeah. And then I feel like
that's where I was then put forward,
which is a bit of a problem.
But I think everyone's
on tenterhooks. You think?
Yes, I do.
Yeah, we'll see.
Oh!
I've just noticed that they've
already crossed out her face.
GASPING
Oh, my God, they have.
That makes it final.
Oh! That's awful.
It'll be weird now without her.
Yeah.
Weirdest of all for Alan.
Yeah. He's lost his buddy.
Taking out someone as big
and loud and wonderful as Paloma,
so that's a bold move,
and, obviously, Paloma and Alan,
I mean, they are, like, best mates,
but could it be Alan? Could Alan
have actually done in Paloma,
straight off, sent her home?
Knowing that nobody would ever think
he would do that.
Let's go down the road that they
have picked one of themselves
to go in. It wasn't Paloma.
I just can't see Lucy
putting herself through that. No.
OK, but that doesn't mean Niko IS -
it just means that if we were going
down that route, you would choose.
He's very worried now.
Who, Niko, because of that?
He's very worried.
Now he's done a very good convincing
on me that he absolutely isn't.
I do think putting yourself
in the coffin
is a bit nuts at this point,
personally.
It does draw attention to yourself.
Well, that's what he thought and
he thought And he has a point.
If I was a Traitor, I wouldn't
I wouldn't put myself in the
Cos you've got to keep a low
Under the radar.
Yeah, you just want to be
in the middle. Personally.
I don't think Niko is a Traitor.
I'm looking at someone who
hasn't really been accused yet,
so I've narrowed it down
to myself or Tom.
I'm leaning towards Tom.
He's sweetness and light,
but he'sdiving, ain't he?
But imagine that,
callously picking us off.
I'd watch that.
Hello, guys. The thing is..
Room for one more?
Yeah, absolutely,
come and take a seat.
Pick the Traitors off one by one,
that's what you've got to do. Yeah.
Lull them into a false sense
of security and then, bang, get 'em.
Yeah. How are we feeling?
Pretty good.
I want to avenge Paloma's death.
Yeah. Yeah.
What's your feeling with Niko?
I personally I don't feel like
he's a Traitor.
Mm. I sort of was looking at people
who were kind ofbe, like,
over-compensating
and being super, like,
exaggerated with just
their responses to things.
Go on.
Well, like Kate, for example.
I said Kate.
"Oh, my gosh, I'm flabbergasted."
Like, who uses that word?
You can't just call someone
a Traitor
cos they have a better vocabulary
than you.
"Flabbergasted" is like saying
"whoops-a-daisy", is it not?
THEY LAUGH
You know when you just get
a vibe from someone? Mm.
I do think the Round Table
might be a bit intense.
I don't feel like I'm
going to have a problem, er,
writing a name on a board.
I'll keep Paloma in my heart and
Let's do it for her.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's been a traumatic day
as we laid poor Paloma to rest,
but now it's time for the Faithful
to avenge her murder
as they gather at the Round Table
and start the eternal debate -
who is a Traitor?
Get comfy, it's time
for the first banishment.
Heading into the Round Table,
my heart is just in my mouth,
to be honest.
We've just seen Paloma murdered.
No-one expected that, so now
you're thinking anyone could go.
People are coming for me,
there's no doubt about that,
but if you think I'm not
ready for it, you lost your mind.
I have no idea in which direction
this Round Table's going to go.
When it's the first banishment,
you have to make a decision
based off so little data, so I just
have to stick with what I think
and hope that no-one comes for me.
My game plan at the moment,
especially around the Round Table,
is to just lay low, stay quiet.
Just going to fly under the radar.
We know how ruthless they are,
these dastardly Traitors.
They're clever,
so we've got to find them.
Players,
welcome back to the Round Table
and your first banishment.
Congratulations. After today,
your prize fund currently stands
at £19,500.
Here's a thing.
One of the skills you need
to be good at this game
is to know when somebody
is lying to you.
You are famous.
People lie to you all the time.
LAUGHTER
"I loved that show."
"It's a great jacket."
LAUGHTER
"I listened to that
particular podcast twice."
Lies.
So, how on earth are you going to
tell if somebody is lying to you?
Let me tell you how this works.
Whoever receives the most votes
will be banished
and will reveal if they're a Traitor
or a Faithful
as they leave the castle.
So, then, players,
for the first time,
the floor is yours.
Can I start just by reiterating
that we have to write a name down
and we have very little to go on,
and whatever name we write down,
it isn't because we dislike someone
or we think
they should leave the game.
The greatest detective there ever
was, Sherlock Holmes, said,
"It is a cardinal error
to theorise without data."
And we have almost no data to go on.
We are, as Claudia said,
going on instinct.
I've got to ask a question
which sounds a bit side bar,
but a couple of people have
mentioned that my name
has cropped up, right,
in conversations.
If anybody has been
part of those conversations,
can you say what came up? Because
I feel like then that might help us
to understand
what people are thinking of.
I mentioned your name.
Why did you think that?
Because I think in I'll say
the mission today, specifically
OK. ..I didn't know whether your
sort of larger response to Paloma's,
er, coffin being closed
was an overcompensation,
or whether it was a genuine
Right. ..sort of fear.
Well, first of all, I'm a massive
ham. That's the first thing.
So, my reactions are always
massively over the top
about everything. But, genuinely,
I was flabbergasted.
And I'll own up as well.
Exactly the same thing.
When we were here and we took
the masks off Yeah.
..the overreaction wasn't to the
word "Traitor" from you,
it was to the word "Faithful."
When you went, "Faithful"
But it's exactly the same thing.
It's the over It's the ham.
It's the ham. I am a ham,
I'm a terrible ham, yeah.
Um I just have a question.
When we were doing the challenge,
a lot of people were very
forthcoming with their shields
and stuff. I just didn't
Maybe I didn't hear you,
but I didn't notice you
once offer it up.
I didn't know that Charlotte had
offered it. That's how out of it
I was. I actually didn't know
you'd given it up.
I was in a blur, but also
isn't that evidence of a Faithful?
It means that I was more keen
to hang onto the Shield.
One thing we might consider, of
course, is that Claudia asked us all
whether we wanted to be
Faithfuls or Traitors.
We might consider amongst ourselves
who we think is the kind of person
who would say,
"Yeah, I'd love to be a Traitor."
On that basis, I felt - and, again,
don't take this personally -
that Niko was the kind of person
who might say,
"I'd love to be a Traitor."
OK, well, I'm actually glad that
I've got this opportunity to speak
and defend myself.
First off, I am a Faithful.
I actually asked to be a Faithful as
well. But what I will say is, today,
obviously, rest in peace to Paloma,
but I believe that I've been set up.
I believe that when the Traitors
met up, they were like,
"Well, let's put Niko forward
"because Niko has come up
in conversation
"and if he's in there, he's going to
get brought up at the Table."
It's going to be a reason
that's used against me.
But with that being said,
does anyone have any rebuttal
as to why I would, as a Traitor,
put myself into the coffin where
everyone's eyes would be on me?
I think there's a case of double
and triple bluffs here. Yeah.
I mean, and there's other reasons
that I've been also thinking
about you, Niko, and one of them
being, at the Round Table,
before and after,
you had an impeccable poker face.
Yeah. And you were,
like, completely expressionless.
Mm-hm. And that made me wonder.
Niko, can I add something? Yeah.
Because, first of all,
I really like you
and I really admire you as well.
Um, but I also was someone
who raised you name earlier on,
and for the same reason
that Charlotte's just said,
and I thought there was a change in
your behaviour. That's why I thought
there was a chance, and that's why
I am one of the people
who did mention your name. All
I can say, cos if I am a Traitor,
why would I put myself
into a coffin?
It doesn't make any sense at all.
It does feel risky.
Extremely risky.
And I think, like I mean,
the proof of that is in the fact
that we're all talking about it now,
so Exactly.
Just, actually, in Niko's defence
as far as, you know,
being a Traitor is concerned,
that jars in my head.
The changes in behaviour
that I've noticed for the person
that I have observed
over the last two days,
and it's really hard
and I'm sorry but, Tameka, erm,
when we came out of here
the other night
after the Traitors had been chosen,
I thought I sensed
a real change in your behaviour.
You seemed quite,
er, withdrawn, jittery,
and then today I watched
when Claudia was pacing up and down
those coffins before she slammed
Paloma's lid shut Mm-hm.
I didn't want to watch that.
I wanted to watch the crowd
to see everybody's reaction. Your
reaction didn't ring true for me.
It was aover the top
Today, I was really shocked
because I thought it was you, Lucy,
and I really didn't want it to be
you, so when Claudia shut the
Yeah, that makes sense. ..coffin
on Paloma, I was genuinely shocked,
and then I was just trying
to just think my way through it
and I actually noticed you walk away
and was looking back, because it was
almost as if you were looking at,
"That's happening over there, but
what are other people looking at?"
You separated yourself to look at
everybody else Mm-hm. ..on that.
Cos I want to know
who the Traitors are.
But it's very interesting that
you're talking about people's,
you know, looking different.
I felt, after the selection,
I felt that, um, yourself, Kate,
had changed. Really?
Yeah, I'm sorry.
I absolutely promise you,
I'm a Faithful.
STEPHEN:Let's imagine
that we were Traitors.
Um, what would inspire us to choose
Paloma as our first victim?
Well, Paloma's own theory was that
she was such a big character
Yes. ..that it was a way of
shocking. And would you have said,
"Let's get Paloma
because she's a big character"?
I don't think I would. I think
I would have done something
more closer to what Niko's
describing. I would have worked out
who the heat was on
Yes. ..in the first day
and think,
"Who would easily be banished?"
It's a cruel touch of genius,
though. It is.
I actually have a question for Alan.
You would have talked to Paloma
the most. Yes.
Was there anyone that she kind of
openly suspected? She had two names.
And I couldn't get them out
And she went,
"If I die, there's two names."
Next thing you know, she's shoved
in her coffin and the thing's gone.
It was very frustrating.
Could I say something?
We've hung around quite a lot
and you've been really nervous
about being Murdered. ..murdered.
Yep. So, I personally
don't think it's you.
Who do think it is, then?
All right, this hurts,
but I was worried about Tom.
Only because I was
When I started this, I thought,
"Who would I think would?"
I'll be honest, this is probably
going to backfire,
but I thought you and Paloma
are the two people,
if I was in control of this thing,
and that's the only reason I think
it's you. I've had no other proof.
Like, you Niko's come up a lot
and I don't believe
what's been put in front of me.
Thank you. Um, I feel like
the evidence which I've given
makes it quite clear
that it's not me.
I personally believe that
the decision is up to you
and I'll respect that, but
if you do not think it's me,
do not vote for me
because you could be killed next.
Oh, God! Players,
the time for talk is now over.
Oh, hell! Oh, God!
Please write down the name of the
person you believe is a Traitor.
WHISPERS:This is awful.
Are you names locked in?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you.
Ruth, we'll start with you.
Who do you believe is a Traitor
and why?
I voted for Kate.
I just found
that your behaviour changed
and became slightly more animated
any time Traitor talk came about.
Tameka.
I have voted for you, Kate.
I'm just going by
how you were reacting.
Alan.I'm going for Niko.
Um, I've got to go for my friend
who I lost today.
Mark.I'm sorry, Tameka,
but I'm going for you.
Um, just inconsistencies
in behaviour
and over-compensation Anyway.
Yeah.
Niko.I've gone for Tom Daley.
The UK's golden boy might have
a good Traitor streak about him.
You could have definitely
pulled off the whole master plan
of setting me up.
So, a vote count.
Two for Kate, one for Niko,
one for Tameka and one for Tom.
Kate, who do you believe
is a Traitor and why?
I'm going to go for Tameka
because I was very convinced by Niko
that it wasn't Niko.
Joe Marler.Didn't have a lot
to go on, so I went with my gut.
Niko.
Lucy.
I-I-I-I kept scribbling names out
and, Niko,
I've wrote your name down.
This is awful. It's awful.
Cat.
Um, I voted for you, Kate.
I just felt like
in the mission today,
your sort of loudness could have
been an over-compensation.
So, a vote count.
Three for Kate, three for Niko,
two for Tameka, one for Tom.
I'm very nervous.
The reality that I might be gone
at the first Round Table
is starting to set in.
My biggest fear -
I could be out the game.
They've got it so wrong!
This could go any way.
Stephen, who do you believe
is a Traitor and why?
