The Celebrity Traitors (2025) s01e04 Episode Script

Episode 4

1
Previously, 19 celebrities arrived to play
the ultimate murder mystery.
These dastardly traitors, we've got to
find them.
All in the hope of winning up to £100,000
for their chosen charity.
Three traitors were chosen.
And after one
banishment I'm a faithful.
Oh, no.
And one brutal murder
The traitors took their next victim.
You have been murdered.
As the players faced a shocking mission.
What are they doing out there?
Conspiracies inside the castle grew.
Maybe Claudia picked the traitor
team led by the big dog Jonathan.
Against the faithful team led by the
faithful big dog of Stephen.
And a dramatic roundtable.
One of the first things you did was make
an alliance with Nico.
I did not say we were an alliance.
Yes, you did.
I still do believe you are a traitor.
Resulted in another faithful being
banished.
I am a faithful.
But who will the traitors murder next?
We've got Ruth, David and Charlotte.
This is the Celebrity Traitors.
subtitled by VI31R@
I think we've come to a decision.
I think we've decided.
We've got to do it to them.
I think he's the only sensible choice.
Yeah.
Right.
I'll get right in.
Last night the traitors committed another
murder.
This morning one of the faithful won't
make it to breakfast.
So, whose seat will remain empty?
We're first.
Nobody here.
We're first.
Oh my God, I've never been first before.
I had a terrible night's sleep after
Puerto Mica last night.
Because I completely misread that
situation.
We all watch the show at home.
It's a kind of family thing, you know.
But being here, bumbling about in the dark,
it's very difficult to catch people out.
So now I guess I've got to rethink the
game plan.
When we were sitting round there last
night, I was thinking almost all of the
first half of the table voted for somebody
different.
I know.
It was so random.
Yeah.
It was like you, Claire, with the lever.
Do you remember the lever?
Shut up, Bella.
If you could not bring up my greatest
trauma, and then you were very excited.
I've got a shield, I've got a shield.
I was like, hmm, making a fuss of the
shield.
Don't put my name on the slate if you
don't want criticism.
Claire got bold because she had a shield.
I just don't want it to start a trend.
I don't want people to think, hmm,
I'm going to vote for Alan as well.
Come in.
Come in.
Hello.
Hi, Joe.
Good morning.
How are you?
Hi, Big Joe.
Did you two sleep well?
Oh, we did.
Well, I'm not together.
Not together.
Not together, but yeah.
I knew I did and I'm assuming you did.
Is that what it means when you get a
shield?
You just partner up?
Yes.
Yeah.
I was thinking last night, I
was like, Claire is or could be a
traitor because of how pleased
she was about having a shield.
I thought, God, it was a bit too much.
Cat amongst the pigeons, isn't it?
National treasure, Claire Balding.
I think there potentially could be some
feuds.
Well, there's already one brewing,
isn't there?
What's that one brewing?
Oh, yeah, there is one brewing.
Jonathan had a little bit of a tater tail.
Oh, yes.
Especially if Jonathan tries telling her
that black is blue.
Yes, quite.
She will not allow that.
And I was in the car and I know he did say
that.
Did he say that?
He said the word alliance.
But you were the other witness.
Yeah!
Last night, I had a bit of heat on me.
And so going into breakfast,
I have to be aware that a
lot of people are going to
look at me almost instantly.
I'm worried.
Is that a Flintstones outfit?
If you say so, it is.
Dabba dabba don't.
So who is in here?
David.
Charlotte.
Stephen.
And Ruth.
I think they're going to kill Ruth
to make it look Right, Jonathan.
Right, Jonathan.
OK.
So you think if they kill Ruth,
it's not Jonathan?
I agree.
I don't think it is Jonathan.
It feels a bit obvious.
Yeah.
Look out, look out.
Oh, no.
So we're missing
We're missing Ruth.
Ruth?
Ruth?
We're missing Ruth.
A twist.
I knew it.
Oh, Ruth.
I don't know what that means.
Ruth, she's not going to let it go with
me.
And I'm afraid this
cloak is feeling a little bit
like it might be pulled
tighter around my neck.
It could backfire on you.
Look, if I was a traitor, I wouldn't have
done this.
Why put myself in the firing line?
Let's just get rid now before she poisons
everyone.
I knew this was coming.
Ruth, by order of the traitors,
you have been murdered.
Signed Jonathan Ross and Kate Garroway.
I was murdered definitely because I was a
threat to the traitors.
I was one of the few
people in the group that
had my own mind that
couldn't be influenced.
I'm mentally extremely strong and
stubborn.
I really do wish the fatefuls the best of
luck.
I will miss them.
Oh, lovely Ruth.
OK, do you see what they're doing?
But why?
That was too stupid.
That's a bit obvious, isn't it?
I mean, that's, like, because everybody
witnessed that.
Jonathan, I think that's got you off the
hook.
I do.
Yeah, but you know what?
Unless it looks like it's a double bluff.
I was hoping that the murder would play
out the way it did, more or less,
because killing Ruth was risky.
I'm hoping this double bluff will work.
Try not to overreact
one way or the other, and
I'm just going to have to
keep my wits about me.
Well, if we think it's to frame Jonathan,
he's safe.
But if we think it's a double bluff,
he's not safe.
Yeah.
Yes.
Can we be capable of a double bluff now?
See how audacious?
It just seems too obvious for Jonathan,
if he were a traitor, to murder her.
But it's such an obvious attempt to frame
him that maybe it is a double bluff.
And it's a really, really clever,
high-risk play by Jonathan.
I'm Claire.
You know, she said I said we were in
alliance.
I wouldn't say that.
I didn't say that.
When you heard me say
Jonathan, I think you misremembered quite
a lot.
No, she did say that.
Just saying.
No, I didn't.
He did say it.
He said it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I'm amazed he can't remember it,
because he absolutely did say it.
I didn't say that, so I think Claire said
it in the end.
I'm definitely putting her name up
tonight.
You look amazing.
Yeah.
Everyone all right?
Yes, thank you.
I'll tell you who isn't.
Oh.
Lovely Ruth has been murdered.
That is five down.
Pretty soon it will be time for a mission.
And I'm going to tell you this.
You're going to have a whale of a time.
Oh.
Oh.
Moby Dick.
We're going to swim.
We're going to be in Wales and Iceland.
We're going to be in boats.
We're getting wet.
Oh, badminton.
Right, come on.
Who wants to play badminton?
I'll have a go.
I'm happy to watch the young people play.
Let's not do scoring.
Oh, God, I can't.
Is there anyone else here who want to
play?
Sporting legend Claire Balding.
Come on.
Before I go home, I would like to see a
trade court.
Please, yes.
That would be good, because they're doing
so damn well.
A couple of people
said John.
I am suspicious, actually.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
But he must be.
He's amazing at it, because he seems so
faithful.
That's why he's so good.
Right.
If I go to them, if I'm banished tonight,
look at Claire.
Claire, absolutely.
Celia.
What?
We need a bit of wind to get it over the
fence.
Oh, shut up.
LAUGHTER I adore Alan, but, of course,
he'd be very clever.
It would be very clever.
It didn't look like Carry On Traitors if
you put Alan as a traitor.
But what a clever cover.
I try to see the best in people,
but this is not the right game for that.
The traitors who are playing are past
masters at two-facedness.
So I've got to look at the bad side of
people, too.
Do you know what I'm finding?
What?
The longer this game
goes on Less people.
Have you found that as well?
LAUGHTER People just keep going,
and we don't know where they're going.
Honestly, I swear to God, Ruth was here
yesterday.
I swear to God.
OK.
If the round table was right now
Yeah, who would you vote for?
What are you doing?
I'm going to I think one of the big
dogs.
Jonathan or Stephen?
Because I did I like the big dog
theory, but if that's right, in my mind,
it'd have to be Stephen to be a traitor,
because the way Jonathan reacted to my
accusation I think
Stephen would be a good one.
I think At the minute, I think it is
Jonathan, and they've done the double bluff.
Really risky, though.
Right, why even put yourself in the mix at
this stage?
I think Yeah.
Do you know what I mean?
It's a bit daft.
No.
People aren't really listening to me.
I think it's a mix of not
articulating it very well
and not being brave enough
to shout it loud enough.
I'm just not buying it from big JR
anymore.
My gut is telling me that A, I'm hungry,
but B, JR is a traitor.
I think Claire set me up.
When she backed up Ruth yesterday against
me, Ruth said I'd said this thing,
which I definitely hadn't said.
Yes.
And you heard me defend it very, you
know, unequivocally, I didn't say that.
And then over breakfast she shouted over
to me and said, oh, you've got a very
forgetful memory coming to Jonathan.
Yeah, I saw that.
And, like, why would she say that?
We weren't even talking about it.
Who said that?
Claire?
Claire, about me.
I asked Stephen about her and I said to him,
if I'm murdered tonight, look at Claire.
And he said the same thing to me.
Jonathan's been quite vocal today about
Claire.
And I wonder if with Jonathan, is that
just the cover for him being a traitor?
The prize pot is currently
sitting at £27,500 and the players
have a chance to increase
that further in today's mission.
I'm so afraid somebody's going to jump out
on us.
Here we go.
If you see a shield, can I have it?
Yes.
You can have mine if you can take it out
of my vise-like grip.
A whale of a time.
A whale calls?
Whale calling!
Imagine if we had to make whale sounds.
I don't think it is that.
I feel quite excited about the missions.
Not being much use in spotting traitors.
Absolutely not.
I think they've actually had the opposite
effect.
Yes, they bind us all closer together.
We've got to get a traitor.
We have to.
Yeah, we do.
It's infuriating though, isn't it?
Doesn't it get under your skin?
We're all not very good at it,
are we?
We're really bad.
This is so nice.
Nothing nasty can happen here,
can it?
Wow, that is laden with blossom,
isn't it?
The walled garden was a welcome relief.
I think we were all happy to be somewhere
that was so full of life and poetry.
Players, welcome to today's mission.
I want to flag this.
Things are about to get a little weird.
In the shadows of the castle forest are
wailing banshees.
Female spirits that cry warnings of
imminent death.
What you're going to have to do is split
into two teams.
Half of you will go to the forest.
You will find those banshees.
To get the banshee
to emit her wail, you
will have to say,
banshee, let out your wail.
Once you've heard her
haunting cry, you have
to repeat her exact
wail down the forest well.
Garden team, hanging around in this walled
garden, are named lockets.
Each of these lockets emits a wail.
You have to match the banshee to the
locket.
Understood?
A tiny detail.
You will only be able to
hear the wail from your fellow
players when your head
is submerged in that well.
For every banshee you correctly identify,
I will add £1,000 to the pot.
So, £5,000 is up for grabs today.
You have 30 minutes and I imagine you're
wondering about shields.
There is one hidden in the forest and one
here.
Match the locket with the wailing banshee.
When you do that, £1,000 is added to the
prize fund.
Players, please get into your teams.
The banshee's over here.
I'd rather go And just bear in mind,
sorry, musicians
Yeah, we've split in two, so I'll go down
there.
Kat, you can sing
I'm going to try my best.
Yeah, OK.
So, if she redoes the sounds here, and
then it's about recognising the sounds.
So, we split into the teams by splitting
up me and Kat, because Kat is also a
singer, so she was there
to recreate a sound and I
was at the other end to
match the sound to the locket.
OK, so who's going into the forest?
Off you go.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Love you guys.
With the groups, obviously, we had two
traitors, me and Kat in our group,
but, you know, we
had a traitor in the other
group, Jonathan, so we
had all bases covered.
Gosh!
This is a bit of a rickety forest,
isn't it?
Guys, there's a well!
Oh, my gosh.
Look down there.
Oh, my God.
Woo!
How deep is it?
I don't know.
Hello!
Well, you know what you do in a well,
don't you?
What?
Put the pussy in.
Exactly what we were all thinking,
Celia.
I think I speak for everyone when I agree
with you there.
Can we have a small explanation?
It's one of those nursery rhymes.
Well, come on.
What we were all thinking, might as well
say it.
We were not all thinking it.
That was my personal!
Celia's an icon.
If Celia wanted me to go live with her,
I'd move in with her.
Players, are you ready?
Yes.
Remember, garden players,
once the lanterns light
up, you can submerge
your heads in the water.
Here we go.
OK, speed walking this way.
Banshee, banshee, where are you?
So we had to go in
the woods together as a
group, and then we had
to go banshee hunting.
There's a banshee here!
Oh, where?
Lucy's got a banshee!
Oh, my God, it's here!
Oh, God!
I was a little bit scared when I saw the
banshees, because I don't really like sort
of masked, hooded things.
That sort of scares me.
Ironically.
Let's just say it at the same time.
Three, two, one.
Banshee, let out your wail!
Right, up we go.
These banshees, they would sing like a
melody line, which we then had to repeat
down a well.
All right, all put your hands up if you're
ready.
We had to duck our heads under water so
that we could listen to the other team
singing what the banshee was singing or
wailing.
You had to remember it, come out and run
down, and then some lockets that were
hanging on either side of the garden with
names.
When you opened it, it played a different
wail.
No, can I try this one?
Players, five minutes have gone.
You have 25 minutes left.
Ophelia?
No, go to Amanda.
Yes, that's it, that's it.
I think we've got it!
They're confident.
Coming through, here we go.
Tell me what the name is.
Amanda.
Throw it in the well.
Ready?
Go for it.
I can confirm that was correct.
Well done!
First one.
Go!
How the hell did they get that?
I found the banshee!
Banshee, let out your wail!
That's what I heard.
I've got it.
What is it?
Okay.
Hold Stephen Price in the water.
I'm a great man.
What the hell am I doing?
They all came out and gave a different
rendition of the wail, so Aurora.
Not bad.
Should we try Shielder?
No, that's a song, wasn't it?
What are they doing?
Dying fanny baggers.
Not these three.
Go that way.
Lara.
It's Lara.
What, because they might have gone wrong
with the
I didn't hear the bada at the end though.
But maybe we came out too quick.
Ladies, half the time has gone.
You only have 15 minutes left.
I think it's Lara.
We're just lifting the agnus one more
time.
Guys, time's ticking, so you've got to
choose.
What do you think?
Well, let's go with that.
Okay, tell me the name.
Lara.
You think it's Lara?
Throw it in.
I'm afraid that is incorrect.
No wrong.
Just so you know, the right answer was
Ophelia.
No, but that was spot on.
Let's go.
I'm really intrigued why
the other team didn't get
the second one, because
we were all killer, no filler.
We hit every note.
One thousand banked, three banshees yet to
be found.
I'm just giving you this in brackets.
One of the lockets might give a clue as to
where a shield is.
One of the lockets we opened at that end
had a song inside it rather than a tune.
It was words.
There's the banshee.
There she is.
There's a shield on the banshee.
Who wants the shield?
Shall I just take it and then we all say
that?
One of us has it.
So we just don't let him know?
Don't tell the other team.
I got one of these.
I went in with that theory of why don't we
not say if we have a shield or not.
It's worked in my favour.
I think it's made me look more faithful.
Banshee, let out your wail.
Oh my gosh.
It's a suck on a fisherman friend.
I don't think we're going to get this one,
I'm not afraid.
Some of these banshees are really out of
tune.
Celia let out a noise that I've never
heard before.
Before in my life.
No, it's the
Celia.
Moving down, isn't it?
Try Janet down there.
Sing it for me, Claire.
It's like a death wail.
The skill of projection is very important.
It's a lot to do with breathing, a
lot to do with pronunciation, I guess.
Stop it!
Stop it now.
Have a listen to Janet.
There's this one as well.
That one.
Are you confident?
Yeah.
David, tell me.
We think it is more
Throw her in.
You are cruel.
Well done.
How the hell did they get that?
£2,000 banked.
20 minutes is gone though.
Banshee, let out your wail.
Got it.
Tell me.
Come on, Venus.
Be lucky.
Keep singing, John.
Charlotte was the most valuable player
because she could take her head out of the
water and then perfectly reproduce the
sound.
And that made it really easy because once
we heard inside some of the lockets,
we could work out which one it was.
Try Luna, yeah?
Yes.
It's Luna!
OK, who do you think it is, David?
We think it is Luna.
Throw her in.
You are correct!
Yeah!
One more, one more.
Right.
Guys, six minutes.
Bloody hell.
Is that one there?
There!
Banshee, let out your wail!
Listen, Charlotte.
That's it.
That's it.
That's it, definitely.
Definitely three.
Quick, quick, quick!
Who do you think it is?
Come to me!
Janet!
You think it's Janet?
Throw her in.
Who did this?
Four out of five.
That's good.
You still have three minutes.
So who wants a shield?
I don't know where to look.
Have a listen.
Is there any clues?
I don't want to be murdered tonight.
So it would be lovely to win a shield.
Which is the one that had the song?
Is that one?
Shielder?
Prudence Lauder.
I don't think that's a clue to a shield.
Time's ticking.
Protection hides in the watering can.
The watering can!
Protection hides in the water can!
What?
Watering can!
Guys, who wants it?
Yes, please!
Desperate.
Yes!
Thank you, everybody.
I owe you big time.
We must protect Stephen at all costs.
What nobility!
I had the glory of getting a rather gunky
shield out of the watering can and knowing
that I would be safe for the night if I
wasn't banished.
So it was a relief, but half a relief.
A rel or an eef.
Players, congratulations.
I mean it.
Did you enjoy it?
Yes!
That was wonderful!
Not only that, £4,000 added to the prize
fund.
You absolutely smashed that, and we can
see who has the shield.
Yes.
Thank you.
This was so kind.
It was really noble of you all to help.
Treasure for treasure.
Don't banish me before I have the chance
to use it.
You are protected from murder, but of
course, nobody is protected from banishment.
You can go back to the castle,
reunite with the forest team, and I'll see
you at the round table where you will try
to catch a traitor.
Congratulations!
Thank you!
It's genuinely the best thing I've ever
seen.
Well done.
You'll sleep easy tonight.
If I'm not banished first?
I haven't heard your name once.
Well, that was a fun mission.
And frankly, Charlotte.
MVP, most valued player.
And also, Jonathan and everybody,
giving me this.
I mean, making sure that I was the one who
won it.
I'm very, very proud.
Despite what they say, you are still
loved.
Stephen got the shield, in part because I
let him have it.
And afterwards, that did worry me.
Is that suspicious?
But, no, it isn't suspicious.
Because it's the way the faithful are
playing the game.
Whose turn is it for a shield?
What is this nonsense?
Charlotte was outstanding.
And I'm also very pleased Stephen has got
the shield.
Yes.
But also interesting, Jonathan was very
happy for him to have it.
Yeah.
I wonder who's got one from the other
half.
Oh, God, this round table.
We've just gone round the houses and then
we got rid of two faithfuls.
Yeah.
We've got to try and actually start
putting it on people.
Yeah.
To see how they crumble.
Agreed.
Do you know who you're going to say round
the round table?
No.
I don't hope, again.
Do you think Jonathan is in trouble?
From what I've heard, I think Jonathan and
Claire.
Well, I'm pretty sure Claire's a faithful.
Do you have any suspicions, Claire?
Yeah.
You don't?
Yeah.
She's so up for it.
Like, she gets so stuck into the task, I
think, would you get that stuck in, though?
Like, do you know what I mean?
People are looking now towards those
national treasure types.
The Stephen Fries, the Claire Bouldings,
sadly the Jonathan Rosses.
So I feel a little bit uneasy.
Guys, did anyone get a shield?
Yeah, Stephen did.
And who on your side won the shield?
Erm, we're not saying.
One of us has got the shield.
We're not saying which one.
We're not saying which one, either,
Alan.
Didn't really occur to us.
Very subtle.
No, we're just, like, keep the traitors on
their toes.
We were all pretty certain there's
no traitors in the group, but
You can probably
never be certain.
But I bet you felt there was no traitors
in cos you bombed with every prediction.
Well, of course you do, that's it.
I thought there was one with us.
There must be.
That's the thing.
No, I've got a name.
Is it something you want to know?
Yeah.
It's, erm, Claire.
Right, that's interesting.
So if I am murdered tonight, look at her.
Right.
I'm going to be looking for people that
now start going, putting names forward for
the first time, going, oh, I'd better now
sort of say something.
And Sarah would be like, hold on, you
haven't really stuck your neck out at all.
Do you have a defence plan if the
spotlight falls on you?
No.
LAUGHTER I'm looking for people that
haven't said anything, cos they're trying
to stay under the radar, but now they're
thinking, oh, I'd better say something,
cos I'm starting to look like a traitor,
which I am.
Not me, obviously.
I'm going to put some names out there and
I'm going to look, even if I don't 100%,
but I just need to see some flinching, some
gulping, some eyes widening, I just need.
Because we can't just keep going round in
circles like this.
No, I know.
And I think we were so scattergun last
night.
It's too obvious a thing to have for
Jonathan to be a traitor.
Or But they were saying in the car,
it could be a double bluff.
It's an amazing double bluff.
At tonight's roundtable, I'm going to be
paying attention to Jonathan.
I've kind of got my eye on Charlotte.
I've kind of got my eye on Claire.
I'm keeping in mind those people that are
stoking the fires.
Who do you feel like you know?
Is it Stephen?
You know the best?
I probably know Stephen the best,
yeah.
Have you still got a little bit of a
question mark?
Yeah, because he's brilliant.
Yeah.
Stephen is a genius.
Right.
I really don't use that word very often.
Do you know what's a disadvantage for me?
When me and Stephen are
stood up, he's so far away
from me, I can't work
out if he's lying or not.
I can't see his eyes.
I can tell you if his flies are undone or
not.
That's about it.
Finding this game so hard, I thought I'd
be better at it than I am.
I can imagine, like, if
you catch a traitor early
doors, I bet he must give
you loads of confidence.
But I'm really doubting my judgement.
I keep getting it wrong.
What a day.
All that singing's got me beat.
How are you feeling?
I mean, I feel good, I've got a shield.
That's what I mean.
I'm split between Jonathan and the double
bluff.
The double-double.
What are you leaning more towards?
There was no doubt in my mind that I'm
going to go for Jonathan.
But I wanted to hear
what theories Kat had,
whether we were sort of
on the same page or not.
I need some sort of guidance.
If you had to be bold, what would you
boldly do?
Claire.
Would Claire be bold actually,
isn't she?
I'm back to the big dog theory I had.
My theory is Claudia's set up this game of
two big dogs.
With Stephen being
the crusading faithful
leader and Jonathan
the treacherous traitor.
You know, playing this human chess.
It's so important we actually catch one
tonight.
After a day searching for
the wailing banshees, the
attention of the players is now
very much on the round table.
With a traitor yet to be found,
the hunt is very much on.
I absolutely think my name could come up
tonight.
I just hope that it's not in the numbers
to get rid of me.
I'd like to target Jonathan,
but my concern is
that if I'm wrong, they
will think I'm a traitor.
Jonathan has to survive this round table.
He's clever, but with so much heat on him,
I don't know.
I've worked pretty hard today to try and
get Claire naming the flame.
I'm not going to go down without a fight.
I'm going to try and take Claire out
before me.
That, I think, is probably my only chance.
Players, welcome back to the round table.
Congratulations.
Today you added £4,000 to the prize fund.
That means the total is now £31,500.
Can I say something?
You work so brilliantly as a team.
All of the missions, genuinely,
you have smashed them all.
So the question is, can you work as a team
in here and banish a traitor?
Who would like to begin?
There is a way of doing
this, which is exactly
the opposite of what
Claudia suggested.
Yes.
And that is, we don't have any discussion
at all and write down who we think.
Because we're very worried about how we
influence each other.
We are in trouble, it seems, with our
judgement.
So we need to do
something differently, perhaps,
but other people might
have a point of view.
I may be, I'm just very weak-minded,
but I would be quite interested to hear
people's theories, even if they're not
going to vote for them, just because it
feels helpful to hear what other people
are thinking.
I had a theory about kind of staying under
the radar, and I think David, you're the
person most staying under the radar,
which is a little bit suspicious to me.
Which I think a traitor would do is be
invisible for as long as possible,
and out of everyone I think that's what
you are doing.
But I think you're
naturally shy, and this
game, in some ways, is
like a nightmare for you.
I think you're enjoying yourself though,
aren't you?
I'm loving the game.
I just know that I'm so bad at
dissimulation.
In the traitors in this game, this Alice
with the looking glass, everything is on
his head, and you are probably the
complete opposite of what a traitor would
be, so I think there is
something almost delicious
about you being a traitor
when you're so trusted.
I love it because I'm so bad at it.
It would be a whole new skill set.
Well, a traitor would say that,
wouldn't it?
That's true.
It's true.
Well, Celia knows how much I absolutely
adore her, and part of me would like to
know either way because I feel that Celia
is so inscrutable, unpredictable,
bulletproof, and brilliant that you would
make a formidable traitor.
You know I've had my
eye on you, Nick, but that's
not necessarily what I'm
going to vote for tonight.
Because nobody's put Nick forward before,
have they?
No.
He's a magician.
A very good one, I should say.
And it's not what I do for a living any
more, and there's a good reason.
Ruth talked last night about Jonathan
mentioning the word alliance, which you
don't remember saying, but I back Ruth,
you did.
And that car was Nico, Ruth, me,
and Jonathan.
Why do you feel like it makes you
vulnerable?
Well, I think Jonathan probably will go
for me.
Interestingly, no, you know what?
The reason why I was going to put you
forward is mainly the Tom thing.
Tom went.
We don't really know why Tom went,
OK?
But he probably knew you better than
anyone else.
And he's already made public that your
name is in his head.
If you were a traitor, that would be the
person you'd be most fearful of.
That's it.
Claire, I feel like you have been quite
keen on directing my attention at times.
So, for example, during the coffin
situation in the second mission,
you were sort of really I did,
I said.
drawing my attention towards Kate.
That was my early theory.
It was all based on reaction.
OK.
I'll be honest.
A couple of times you let us know that you
had a shield.
Oh, God, I was thrilled to have a shield.
Exactly.
Then I thought, well, I've had a shield
and a few people have had a shield,
and I behaved differently.
I didn't mention it.
As if you didn't feel the need to prove
that, hey, I'm vulnerable, I might be killed.
Exactly, yeah.
Because everyone knew I
had the shield, so I mean,
honestly, I'm hugely flattered
that you would think that.
I'll say one further thing.
I'm slightly concerned, Jonathan.
I think it would be a classic traitor move
to kill off Ruth last night.
It seems like a clumsy set-up.
But it could also be a brilliant double
bluff.
And I think if anybody around this table
would have the audacity to do a double
bluff, there was that much of a high-wire
act.
Jonathan is such a superfan of the show,
and you've seen every single iteration.
Yeah.
I'm going to remind you of what Nicko said
to us all, and which we didn't listen to,
which was, why would you put a tag on your
back?
Yes.
When you don't need to.
Can I ask why you are telling people if
you've heard their name being mentioned?
I'm trying to gauge their reaction to
that.
Ah, OK.
So I'm going in, and once again I'm
playing it as straight as I can,
because that's the only way I think I'm
going to get any read on anyone.
I'm just looking for clues.
And that's all that is.
I'd like to tell you to your face that I'm
concerned that you are a traitor,
because I think you've double bluffed it.
Oh.
I just wanted to let you know.
No, I'm glad you do.
And that, of course, is the fiendish
nature of this game.
Players, the time for talk is over.
Please write down on your slate the name
of the person you believe is a traitor.
Are the names locked in?
Yes.
Thank you so much.
Claire, we're going to start with you.
Who do you believe is a traitor,
and why?
I was waiting for someone to really gun at
me, Charlotte.
Because I thought
you wouldn't unless you
were a traitor, because
I know I'm a faithful.
David, who do you believe is a traitor,
and why?
I voted for Claire, because you're playing
this game brilliantly.
I just can't work out whether you're
playing it as a faithful or a traitor.
Nick.
With the utmost respect, I have voted for
Celia.
Alan.
A real curveball.
I think someone who would be perfect.
The anti-traitor, David.
Mark.
I don't know if I even do believe this
person is a traitor, but I had suspicions
before, and then they were forced,
and I'm backing for it, but I don't know
but Charlotte, I've voted for you,
I'm sorry.
So, a vote count.
Two for Charlotte, one for Claire,
one for Celia, and one for David.
Kate, who do you believe is a traitor,
and why?
I have put Claire down.
I'm not certain.
I'm 50-50.
I've heard your name mentioned a lot by
people I think I can trust, so it's
brought it down to 50-50, but I have voted
for you.
Joe Marlowe.
I've come with Big Dog John.
Because of the whole double, triple bluff
thing.
Lucy.
Claire, I had so little to go with, I'm so
sorry, I think you're an amazing woman.
Yeah, yeah.
Kat.
I've gone for you again, Mr Stephen,
just because I think as well as looking at
the quieter ones in
the group I think it's also
important to look at maybe
more of the leaders as well.
So, a vote count.
Three for Claire, two for
Charlotte, one for Celia,
one for David, one for
Jonathan, and one for Stephen.
Stephen, who do you believe is a traitor
and why?
With no pleasure and no certainty,
I've written your name, Claire,
simply because I think you're so
brilliant.
It's a silly reason and a terribly sorry.
I'm wrong.
Joe Wilkinson.
I'm sorry, Claire, I'll put you.
Celia.
I voted for David because I
think he's endlessly intriguing
and would make a brilliant
traitor under our noses.
Jonathan.
I'm sorry, Claire, I've gone for you as
well.
It's just I've got nothing else to go on.
A couple of people said they thought it
was you.
And finally, Charlotte.
I have also gone for you, Claire,
and I think that you would make an
extraordinary traitor, so I think it's
you.
Thank you so much.
Claire, you have received the most votes.
Please come up here and join me.
Claire, you have received the most votes.
You are banished from the castle.
Before you leave us, please reveal are you
a faithful or are you a traitor?
I came in with only one strategy,
which was to be nice to absolutely
everyone and I have had the best time and
I love all of you.
I am and I have been from the start a
faithful.
God, we are terrible at this game.
What are the odds of us being so useless?
Oh my God.
Players.
Jesus.
You have lost a faithful.
A great faithful.
A fantastic faithful.
A fantastic faithful.
You are wasting these round tables.
You've got to get dirty in here.
You have to interrogate.
You have to flush a traitor out.
Stop being so polite.
Yep.
The banshees, they signal imminent death.
For one of you, it is extremely close.
Sweet dreams.
No chance.
What have we done?
Oh, God.
What have we done?
We do have to change tactics.
Oh, she was such a great faithful.
She was such a good faithful.
Oh, I can't believe it.
Whoever these traitors are, they are
there's someone else, you know.
I'm not holding back.
I haven't got a clue.
Nothing has happened.
How am I still here?
I mean, I've got to be the luckiest
traitor in the history of the game.
Without even having to work at it,
the faithfuls did our dirty work for us.
Everyone's coming out tomorrow with their
claws out.
And everyone's going to be scratching away
at each other to try and see if under the
otherwise faithful skin, there lurks a
black-hearted traitor.
Oh, my God.
What?
We are useless.
Absolute horror.
Bloody rubbish.
I loved her very much.
Really, she was such a brilliant presence.
Oh, my goodness.
It's like a nightmare, isn't it?
It is.
Oh, God, it's tricky.
It really is.
But we're being hopeless at the moment.
I know.
I know.
I'm really surprised she got so many votes,
but I was even trying to think of why.
I heard people saying, oh, there's been
talk about Claire.
So then going into the round table,
I thought it would be inauthentic of me to
then just go, Claire, I'm just going to
vote you because everyone else has said it.
Do you know what I mean?
But if you're just going around saying,
I've heard this, well, if I was a traitor,
I could do that and get to the end quite
easily.
You just go, I've heard this, and you go,
I've heard this, I've heard this.
If you say that enough times,
you go, I don't know where
because none of us know
where it started for each other now.
They refuse to believe it could ever be
Alan Carr.
And I think maybe
because I'm young and sort
of sweet, maybe they
just don't think it's me.
But I think there will be more heat on
Jonathan.
This is hideous.
It's much worse than we think.
We've got to change the way we're playing
it.
Have you considered this thought?
I'm sure you have.
If someone is murdered tomorrow,
a quarter of our group will be traitors.
It might be more, though, because it could
be four or five.
But it's a hell of a thought.
We've got to be so much tougher at the
round table.
I don't know what to look out for anymore.
I mean, if you are a faithful and you are
worried that people think you're a
traitor, you will look guilty in some
people's eyes.
You'll kind of think, how
am I supposed to look so that
I can persuade them that
I am the faithful that I am?
And that's suspicious.
This is the blind alley you run up every
time.
There is no solution to this problem.
So we were more decisive tonight,
but we were decisive in the wrong way.
Who did you vote for, Celia?
I voted for David because I thought that
he was he's intriguing.
He would make a brilliant traitor,
yeah.
But you don't think he is?
I don't not think he is, but, like,
I'm, you know, I think
Unfortunately, that's the answer you have
to give to everyone.
But I'm going to be quite honest.
I was convinced about you, you see.
Well, you've got to explore that.
You've got to explore everyone.
Jonathan was my thought most of today,
but then at the time of the table,
he seems earnest and I get convinced.
It's quite embarrassing.
It's absolutely my
responsibility next time to ignore
his deliciousness and
try and stick to my guns.
Who did you vote for?
I thought, let's go for the least person
possible, so I went for David.
That's not the idea of the game.
The least person possible to be a traitor.
Yeah, because I think everything else has
failed for me.
Yeah, but the idea is to catch a traitor.
Well, I'm catching him by naming him,
aren't I?
Who did you who
did you even put?
Jonathan.
Oh, okay.
He's done the double bluff last night,
mate.
Do you reckon?
Yeah.
With Jonathan, he's like Mr Teflon.
Nothing sticks, does he?
Can I get your
opinion on Yeah.
he sat next to you on Mark?
I wouldn't be surprised if he's a traitor
as well.
Did you see him with all that?
He's so over the top with it.
Oh, no!
And he's pausing all that.
He's slammed the table twice.
It's too exaggerated for me.
I mean, come on.
I'm not surprised people are suspecting
Mark.
He's been acting a little bit OTT.
Okay!
Oh!
You know, maybe he might be in the
spotlight on the next round table.
Good night.
Good night.
Sweet dreams.
If you're a traitor, please don't murder
me tonight.
Spoken like a traitor.
Bye, love.
Goodbye, my darling.
There's no art to find the mind's
construction in the face.
We're quite smart, Stephen.
I know, but it's loaded against us.
But we have to do it tomorrow.
I'm going.
Sorry.
As the clock chimes, the faithful must
return to their beds.
And for one, they're about to hear a
different sound.
And it will not be pleasant.
In fact, it will be deadly.
The wailing banshees are coming.
But for who?
What just happened?
Oh, my God.
It's like playing chess,
but it's like playing
chess with a bunch of
kind of like five-year-olds.
Yeah.
Your name is still being floated around as
a potential.
Because people are like, could it be
Jonathan and could it be a double bluff?
I mean, you're both playing much better
games than me.
And you are so far under the radar.
Your names only come up when they say,
who haven't we talked about?
That's it.
You're in the, we don't possibly suspect
you, but who have we talked about?
Yeah, I've got the shield.
You've got the shield?
I've got the shield.
Amazing!
Oh, you've got the shield!
If we can't We pretended, didn't we?
We said, let's not tell the other group.
Let's keep the other team guessing.
Because all of us are faithful.
It's the others who are the traitors.
But it means, I personally think, I think
we should kill someone from your team.
If someone on our
team dies, then they'll
know that someone in
that seven is a traitor.
You're correct.
Only we know who got the shield.
You are correct.
And I can't kill myself.
So we kill someone from my group.
Yeah.
So we've got Charlotte.
The thing about Charlotte
is, if she gets a bead on
any of the three of us,
it's just a small bead, right?
She's going to run for it.
She's going to run with it and go with it.
And I think people might listen.
Yes.
Charlotte's not bad.
Who do we have here?
Kate.
Kate is a very good scapegoat.
If Kate doesn't come down
for breakfast, people will
just think she's gone into a
broom cupboard by mistake.
Because she keeps going, I have no idea,
people are starting to get annoyed at that.
I think it might be quite
easy to throw it back on her,
because she was someone who
came under a lot of flak early on.
So we've also got David on my team,
and we could get rid of David.
Now, pros are, he's smart, he's
analytical.
He hasn't really been focusing that.
I think we're going to
see him coming out a bit
more aggressive, a bit
more perceptive, perhaps.
I think the cons of murdering David would
be, again, people are starting to look at
him as a potential as well,
and removing him gets rid of
that potential and maybe
could shift their eyes onto us.
Every time we kill someone, it's like we
turn them, and they're like, why, why, why?
And in that madness, double down.
Yes.
Yeah.
Let's dig deep.
Yeah.
OK, so it's between
Charlotte, David, Kate.
Yeah.
OK.
Have we come to a decision?
I think we have.
Can I just say one thing?
What?
Isn't me always just getting a lot easier?
Yeah.
Their death is just going to rock the
boat.
