Got to Get Out (2025) s01e05 Episode Script

Not So Fast!

1
[clock ticking]
[dramatic music playing]
[Simu Liu]
With over $300,000 on the line,
Cynthia and Stein
are ready for their escape.
[Cynthia]
I finally have a plan.
This is the moment I've been waiting for.
The red bathroom will open
at $312,000.
It's getting close to go time.
-Night, Stein.
-[Stein] Good night.
I hope you sleep great.
[Cynthia] Stein is my person.
I picked him to run for me.
I just hope that he is a man of integrity
and that he's going to
split the money with me.
-[suspenseful music playing]
-[clock ticking]
My heart is pounding outta my chest
because everybody's seeing everything.
Like, how does Stein
get to the gate completely undetected?
I don't know how he's going
to actually pull it off.
[snoring]
-[Clare] How'd the date go?
-We had a lot of great conversation.
We got to know each other even more.
[Spencer] I'm getting a new,
uh, watch when I get home.
It's just gonna have money.
Heidi'll be like, "What time is it?"
I says, "500,200 bucks, honey."
[Yahné sputters]
-[suspenseful music playing]
-[clock ticking]
[Stein] I'm so accustomed
to pushing the limits.
I spend my life capturing wild adventures
in remote places like the Antarctic,
but this is my biggest adventure yet.
The pressure here is
absolutely [bleep] insane.
-[music continues]
-[ticking continues]
[dramatic music playing]
[beeps]
I grew up in a household
where we had very little.
If I walk away with $312,000,
that would change so much in my life.
The stakes are so high right now.
-[suspenseful music playing]
-[ticking]
My strategy is to stay low
and just hug the side of the driveway.
I actually feel like we have a chance
of getting outta here.
If it was a million dollars
on the line and it said,
"You have to put together
four total people,
who would you put together?"
That's the way you really gotta think,
when it's your play.
You got one bullet, you got a hit.
Just put pieces
to the puzzle together.
Or you already know--
Either way
[Spencer]
You can tell me. I don't know.
[Rashad] Definitely
gonna put together the team
that wants to leave that I know
[Spencer] Wait, did you
just watch somebody run by?
[Rashad] Maybe?
What the [bleep]?
-[alarm blaring]
-[Shane] Hit the button! Hit the button!
Go, hit the button! Hit the button!
Cynthia's got it.
-[Shane] Hit the button! Hit the button!
-[blaring continues]
[Cynthia]
Stein only needs 12 seconds.
I gotta manage this button,
which means pretend
to be watching the button.
[Shane]
Hit the button! Hit the button.
-Hit the button. Hit the button.
-[bleep] this. I can't even eat.
Hit the button! Hit the button!
Hit the button!
All of a sudden,
it was like a whole shit show.
-[Shane] Hit the button!
-[Yahné] I just called it!
Hit the button!
Hit the [screams] button!
-[Lindsey] Run! Hit the button!
-[contestant] Whoa!
-[panting]
-[Cynthia] Oh! Got it.
Did you hit the button?
I'm a hot mess. I am going crazy.
I just don't know if he made it.
The clock has stopped.
-[Kim] Why?
-[Jill] It's froze.
Wait, so, hold on.
Who just tried to get out?
I don't know.
I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
[Athena S.]
Somebody got out?
[Yahné]
Somebody got out?
-[Spencer] Yeah.
-[Doodles] Who'd we get?
-[Steve H.] Who was it?
-False alarm?
[Yahné] Oh, my gosh.
What is going on here?
[dramatic music playing]
[money counter whirring]
-[Lindsey] What?
-Nooo!
[Lindsey]
Are you kid-- Is this a joke?
[Doodles] Everything that we've
done so far in this game
to protect the money, wiped out.
[dramatic sting]
[Spencer]
Back to zero. Oh, my God.
-I don't know, forget it.
-This is crazy.
[Spencer scoffs]
[Cynthia]
The money clock went to zero.
Well, we know what that means.
My boy got out!
[triumphant music playing]
[panting]
[Stein]
Woo!
-[alarm blaring]
-[Cynthia] Oh!
[Stein]
No shit.
[laughs]
What?
Thank you mansion.
What an adrenaline pump.
[laughs]
Damn, look at this car.
Oh, my God.
Yes!
Oh, man.
[laughs]
Dude.
What?
It's life-changing money.
[bleep] yes.
Oh, I'm so grateful for this.
[Cynthia]
I can't believe we pulled it off.
We are the first to get out of this house,
and I actually feel guilty
because I had to deceive people
into thinking that I am the one
to trust at the button.
It's a third of the pot.
I am devastated.
Devastated as like somebody
has punched me in the stomach.
I have been trying for days to do this.
[Susan]
It's all part of the game.
It's okay.
We're gonna be fine.
[Spencer]
Who got out?
[Cynthia]
I'm an actress.
This is my best acting role yet.
[Athena S.]
Who's missing?
Where's Stein? Where's Stein at?
-Who?
-[Rashad] Stein.
[Rob]
Stein's the one that got out.
Oh, my God.
Stein!
[Athena S.]
Are you freaking kidding me?
Stein?
Somebody here tipped him off.
-[Spencer] No, he did it.
-[Doodles] He got out alone?
-[Spencer] Yahné could be involved.
-I'm not a part of shit.
So, how-- Wait, I wanna know,
how did he make it out?
Is it because somebody didn't
pull the lever or because the button--
'Cause nobody pushed the button.
[Susan]
Alright, who's his accomplice?
[dramatic music playing]
[Stein]
"Congratulations.
"Now, you must return
and tell your housemates
"if you wanna share the money
with anyone in the house,
"and if they choose to leave with you,
you must evenly split the money."
[Simu] Stein now has to decide
whether to give $156,000 to Cynthia
or keep it all for himself.
This is exactly how I feel
whenever I have to pay my agent.
[Stein] Almost a third
of the whole freaking game.
Three hundred and twelve thousand dollars,
like, this money is, like,
is more than anything I've made,
like, honestly in my whole life.
Like, nothing--
Oh, man.
Like, just eating [bleep] oatmeal
every day of my life.
Like
[sighs]
Like, we've had nothing.
I could buy a house with this money.
[bleep], I could leave here
right now with $312,000.
[Cynthia]
I feel good about Stein,
but that was before
he had $300,000 in his hands.
Now, I'm suddenly concerned
about the money part
especially the part about
am I going to actually
see any of the money?
[pensive music playing]
[Simu] Twenty strangers
locked into a house trying to escape
and steal a prize
climbing to a million dollars.
What's stopping them?
Each other.
-What's at stake?
-[alarm blaring]
[Susan]
Hit the button!
-[Spencer] Hit the button!
-[Simu] Everything.
-What's the vibe? Bad.
-[Susan growls]
This is Got to Get Out.
In a desperate gamble,
Stein teamed up
with a Real Housewife
from Atlanta, Cynthia.
But the question remains,
will he share the 312,000
he stole in the cover of night
or keep all the money for himself?
I'm just, like, nervous.
Stein could just decide,
"Screw Cynthia."
It's not like I wrote up a contract
and had him sign it.
Stein!
[Demi]
When I saw Stein with the money,
I'm thinking, "What the [bleep]?"
I hate him now.
[Spencer] There were
17 people at the windows
and at the button
every time I tried to escape.
So, I don't know how he got out.
Hi, friends.
[laughs]
[dramatic music playing]
[Jill]
We lost everything.
This is so hard.
[Rob] Stein takes all the money,
and I'm pissed.
I'm pissed off right now.
Three hundred and twelve thousand dollars
is unimaginable and would change my life.
And, uh, I come from very, very little.
I've never had this much money
in my entire life.
Like, I've
Like, I've never had,
I've never had anything like this.
[sniffles]
Um
There was, uh,
one person who helped me today.
[dramatic music playing]
[Demi]
Who is it?
[Stein]
This wasn't my exit strategy.
This is Cynthia's.
[Kim]
What?
[Shane]
What the [bleep]?
I'm instantly just irritated.
I never saw it coming.
[Stein] I'm a man of my word,
and I wouldn't be here
if it weren't for Cynthia.
So, you can step forward
and I'm gonna bring you with me.
[Clare]
Oh, wow.
[clapping]
This is heartbreaking
because that could have been me.
The only reason I'm here right now
is because of Cynthia.
[Cynthia] Stein really
was the right partner.
Like, he's just good people.
He has a good heart.
[Athena S.]
I got one thing, one thing, guys.
Tell us how you did it.
I mean, uh, to be honest,
I was up in the watchtower by myself.
Like, every day I'd been watching.
I knew exactly where I was gonna run.
I knew where people
were sitting in the windowsills.
[Rob]
I will stay like this all night.
[Stein] I've been
so incognito this entire time.
So once I climbed out,
crawled underneath the plants right here,
stood at the front door, I stayed low.
The trees are a perfect diversion
when you're running into the driveway.
So, I just hugged the grass,
I just beelined it for the gate.
This was the hardest thing for me to do.
I was the mastermind, Stein was my legs.
It was so hard
to even have a plan with him
and be sitting at that button
with you guys.
So, I, literally, sat at the button
95% of the time,
protecting the money,
just waiting on my moment to
not hit it.
God just lined it up.
I guess it pays off
to be queen of the button.
[Cynthia]
Okay.
-[Stein] That was crazy.
-[Cynthia laughing]
[Omarosa]
Bye, Cyn! Bye, Stein!
[Cynthia]
Oh, my God, the door's closed.
[Stein]
I told you I'd get out. [laughs]
-Now we're splitting $312,000.
-Oh, my God!
I have just made $156,000!
And we don't have to stay.
[Cynthia] It feels really great
to get out of the damn house
and we're the first to do it.
It feels amazing.
-Can you believe it?
-[laughs] No.
Like, this is crazy!
[Simu] At last,
people who had a solid plan
and actually made it work.
And good on you, Stein,
for splitting your money with a celebrity.
That really warms my heart.
Back at the house,
there's $687,940 left in the pot.
That's over $10,000 less per person
if they all stick it out
to the end and share it.
[ticking]
So, their stocks are down
and so is their mood.
[Rob]
Damn!
That's [bleep] crazy.
Ugh.
That was my money.
Ugh!
My kid's gonna ask me
why I let somebody break out, though.
[Val]
'Cause you weren't paying attention.
[Spencer] I was watching
the center of the driveway.
Rashad's talking my ear off.
[echoing] This is what you gotta do,
the game's telling you what to do.
You know this now
[overlapping chatter]
If I get out, I give you a cut.
[panting]
[Spencer]
So I missed it.
Did you just watch somebody run by?
[Demi] Spencer, how could you
let this happen on your watch?
I failed.
[tense music playing]
[Omarosa] I mean,
the whole point of this experiment
is to get as much of that cash as I can.
So, I'm gonna have to step up.
If anybody gets a plan,
let me know, I will help.
I played running back in the NFL.
I played offense.
I can run.
So, this is a new game plan.
[Lindsey]
This changes the whole game.
I didn't expect this at all.
It was literally impossible to leave.
[Kim] I think now that Steiny
and Cynthia have won this money,
everybody had this number,
500,000, 900,000.
And if it doesn't get there,
then I'm not gonna run.
Well, I think, now,
we've all reconsidered our number
and now I want the [bleep] outta here.
The no wine rule
is really getting to me, guys.
[Simu] While most of the house
is reeling over their loss
and restrategizing their game,
for two of the players,
the reality is just too much.
[sobbing]
[Jill]
Oh, my God.
Uh, but here's the thing too,
is I'm exhausted.
I'm exhausted.
And really trying to hang in--
You miss your husband and your baby.
I can imagine.
And it's my dad's anniversary that he died
and it's, like, I can't even
[exhales deeply]
My life is just so much
different than this at home.
Would you want to stay
X amount of more days
with the plotting
and the scheming
and a chance to win maybe zero?
It's a hard thing being here.
It's not easy.
I miss my baby like crazy.
I just, yeah,
I'm just ready to go home now.
[Producer] Ok.
-[Clare] I'm ready to go home now.
-[Producer] Ok.
Oh, my God.
With that clock
all the way back down to zero,
I'm so frustrated.
Like, I can't even tell you.
I miss my dogs. I miss my husband.
I miss my baby boy.
It is so hard.
I'm done.
[Simu]
And just like that,
Clare and Jill are now out of the game.
After four days of defending their money,
the house has woken up today
to a new reality.
[Kim] Those two, mentally and emotionally,
were having a very hard time.
-But, look, this is tough.
-Agreed.
Jill and Clare are gone, so we're good.
Less people, the more money we take home.
[Simu]
The 16 players left in the house
have spent the past 10 hours
desperately watching
the money clock tick up slowly from zero.
[ticking]
Like [bleep].
[Simu] What could possibly
cheer up these sad sacks?
Well, whenever I'm down,
I pretend it's Christmas.
So, let's do that.
Even though
it's a hundred degrees outside.
-[all gasp]
-Oh, my God!
[Susan]
Oh, my God!
[gasps, laughs]
I love Christmas!
Everyone in the house today
was so depressed.
Oh, my God, this is so--
Ooh, cookies.
My mood is instantly lifted.
This is what we've needed.
Alright.
Happy holidays, everybody!
[cheering]
[Simu] To make
their holidays merry and bright,
everyone now gets to choose a gift.
[Athena V.] Maybe it's
a nice pair of Louboutins.
[Rashad]
Oh!
-Ohh!
-[all groan]
Bad girl.
It's coal.
How do you like them apples?
Ohh!
[exclaims, laughs]
[screams]
I get a rat suit.
It's not something we need,
right, at this juncture
in the competition.
It's not Christmas.
It was just really stupid.
[Demi] Oh, my God.
I thought it was a fur coat.
Oh, my God.
[Kim]
Doodles, unwrap your present.
Ohh!
-It's another box!
-Oh!
-[Susan] [laughing] Another box!
-Surprising.
And, finally, we get
to the tiniest little box here,
and everyone's like,
"Is that a ring?"
[Susan]
A diamond ring.
[Rob]
This is the moment right here.
And to my utter surprise, it's not a ring,
but it's something even better!
Ooh.
-[both] Oh.
-Ohh.
[suspenseful music plays]
[ticking]
-I have a note.
-[Rob] Ohh!
"This gift is for the group.
[dramatic music playing]
"One hundred thousand dollars
[all cheering]
will be added to the money clock!"
[cheering and whooping]
[Simu] To be clear,
this $100,000 isn't actually extra money.
I'm just speeding up the clock
to make them less grumpy.
That's what I'm talking about, $100,000!
Seeing that number rise that fast,
that quick, it was a good feeling.
Whoa!
[Simu] And if you're wondering
if these gifts
are also meant to cheer them up,
well, no, they're not.
Two of the gifts,
which they've chosen at random,
will contain exit strategies.
And then, all the holiday cheer
can disappear
as they turn against each other again.
Come to think of it, that does sound
like the average family Christmas.
[Rob]
Yeah!
Oh yeah, I'm-- I am Mrs. Claus.
[all cheering]
-There it is. Ho, ho, ho.
-[Susan] Ho, ho, ho!
Merry Christmas!
[Athena S.]
Alright, Demi, right?
Yeah!
[Lindsey]
This was the best Christmas ever.
Definitely.
[Susan]
Mistletoe! [laughs]
Oh, my God.
There's mistletoe. I'm so nervous.
Ooh! There might be an opportunity here.
Merry Christmas.
-Oh!
-[all cheer]
[Simu]
Aw, their first kiss.
How, mm, staged.
Don't look at me!
[Simu] But let's get back
to those random gifts.
-[Susan] Did you get your card?
-I got my card.
-[Susan] Okay.
-Got my card!
This is so exciting!
[Simu]
Inside each of them,
I've hidden a card
that they'll all need to open in secret
to find out if it contains
an exit strategy.
"No exit strategy."
"No exit strategy."
"No exit strategy."
"No exit strategy."
Listen here, you really cost me.
-[shelf rattles]
-Ow! That's what I get.
"No exit strategy."
Bah humbug.
"No exit strategy."
[Simu] [sighs] Better luck
next Christmas, I guess.
[Spencer wails]
But for Yahné, the random gift she picked
checks all the boxes on her list.
[gasps]
[exhales]
[Yahné] "The blue bedroom will be open
at $186,700."
[laughs] I have a terrible
[bleep] poker face, bro.
Okay.
All this money about to come to me.
I would probably get
a nice little handbag.
I would get a new car, maybe pink.
This is about to be the greatest heist
in Got to Get Out history.
[Simu]
Well, we'll see about that, Yahné,
because looks like Susan
might give you a run for your money.
[Susan]
I got the best exit strategy.
"Santa is the G-O-A-T of escape artists.
"In this suit,
you have the ultimate power.
"It must be used
"between 175,000 and $191,200.
"Stand in front of any lock.
"Throw two hands in the air and say,
'Now dash away, dash away,
dash away all.'"
I'm dying. I'm dying.
-Yay!
-[Simu] Me too.
How does Susan keep getting so lucky?
[Susan] [quietly]
Yes! Yes!
[Simu] Susan and Yahné
have both received exit strategies
that they can use tomorrow.
They'll need to find allies
for their plans.
Everyone else will be on defense.
Well, everyone except Doodles and Athena,
who are continuing
their strange love story.
Whatever, I'm here for it.
[Doodles]
With Cynthia and Stein leaving,
I'm feeling pretty paranoid.
Little on edge, a little anxious.
So, I wanna build
this relationship with Athena
because it's all about increasing
my future opportunities
to get more exit strategies.
[whispering] I told you
I was a game designer already.
[whispering]
You did.
You said there's more I don't know.
Do you know the game Jumanji?
I [bleep] love that game.
I made the newest version.
[grunts]
[Athena V.] [whimpers]
No freakin' way!
-Yes, actually.
-No, you didn't.
I did.
-No!
-The one that opens up like this?
-You did that?
-It's got a green dome and it lights up.
You did that?
You [bleep] did that?
That is so [bleep] cool!
[Doodles]
Oh, my God, another kiss.
First, underneath the mistletoe and now?
That's for real.
So, we're no longer
individuals playing this game.
We're a pair.
-What?
-Yeah.
I'm literally sitting with the man
who created Jumanji 2.
[imitates explosion sounds]
Okay, Doodles, with the big brains.
So, I'm gonna use it when I need it.
But since you revealed a secret of yours,
I have to reveal a secret of mine.
-Mm. Only fair.
-Okay.
-But you can't tell anyone.
-I won't tell a soul.
You will be the only person that knows.
-I swear.
-I believe you.
Okay.
I have a bachelor's degree,
master's, and 60 credits
towards my PhD in mathematics.
-Oh, wow.
-I'm a mathematician.
[Doodles]
Amazing.
I create and design curriculum
for schools across the United States.
-So, you're super smart.
-Yeah.
-I knew were super smart.
-Yeah?
I could see that.
[Doodles]
I get really excited
because mathematicians
are strategic, logical,
and will make sure
that their result comes out on top.
But at the same time,
I need to know, with her actions,
if she's able to help me get out.
[Simu] Doodles and Athena
are matching each other's freak.
They've got each other,
but they don't have an exit strategy.
Unlike Santa Susan.
Oh, my God, I'm gonna miss everybody.
I'm gonna miss everybody
'cause I'm [bleep] out of here! [laughs]
This is really gonna happen this time.
I can't run.
But I know the fastest runner
in this house is Rashad.
I think he can do it
in, like, nine seconds.
I mean, after all, he's a football player.
[ticking]
I want you to run.
But are you ready to leave?
[Rashad]
I'm ready to go tomorrow.
[whispering] I wanna see
my little boy, so it's worth it.
[gentle piano music playing]
[Susan]
The man had tears in his eyes.
Real live tears.
He made me cry,
that he missed his son so bad.
So, I do trust Rashad.
Then let's do this.
I haven't been away from my son
since he has been born.
Um, not one day.
And it feels weird
not seeing him.
I promise, if I get out,
you're getting out.
-Okay.
-Alright?
[record scratches]
Anyway
[Simu] Oh, Rashad.
What a sentimentalist.
[whimsical music playing]
Now let's fast forward two hours
and several wardrobe changes
to see Rashad stabbing Susan in the back.
At $186,700
dollars
The Blue Room window is going to open.
[Yahné]
Rashad runs for a living.
I need him as my main guy.
We had an alliance.
We are locked in.
Who's running?
You.
Okay.
I'm like, "Dang."
That just put me
in a whole cluster of, like
[imitates explosion sounds]
I'm feeling torn
but at the end of the day,
my ride or die is Yahné.
You were the first person
that I ever said, "I got you."
[whispers] You're my number one.
Do you think I look good
as a platinum blond?
[Rashad] You gotta hurt somebody's
feelings in order to win this thing.
Whatever happens, right?
Ho, ho, ho.
I don't give a damn what I got going on.
If I know you're down,
I got you regardless.
I can get us out.
I can get us out.
I promise you.
[ticking]
[Demi] The money clock
keeps getting higher and higher.
We get more clues released.
These [bleep]
are about to all be weird.
[whimsical music playing]
[Simu] While Athena is doing
whatever she's doing in the bathroom
Doodles was gonna show me Steve's bed.
[Simu] Omarosa is
regifting her present.
-Where does Steve sleep?
-[Doodles] In the blue bedroom.
[music continues]
[Omarosa laughs]
Thanks, Doodles.
Good night.
[Simu]
'Twas the night before Christmas
all through the house,
not a Spencer was stirring,
but in Steve's bed was a mouse.
I'm sorry.
It's actually a rat.
Alliances were made with thoughtful design
in hopes they can pull off a heist
like Cynthia and Stein.
[echoing]
Ho, ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!
[suspenseful music playing]
[Simu] We're now halfway through the game
with only five days remaining
to steal the money.
Defender Athena is perfecting
her button sprints
while other Athena
has woken up looking glum.
[Kim] How you feeling, love?
You need something?
[Athena V.]
No, I'm okay. Thank you.
The house is getting to me a little.
[Kim]
Your eyes look bad, though.
It's 'cause you kissed
that [bleep] weirdo.
That's my belly for now.
It's like my pubic hairs.
[laughs]
[Simu] Santa Susan's plan
is about to take shape.
[Susan] Ho, ho, ho!
Merry Christmas, [bleep]!
What the [bleep]?
[Simu] After the money clock
hits $175,000,
she's hoping Rashad will run for her
from the red bathroom window,
the same window that Stein escaped from
-[Susan] Ho, ho!
-Santa.
[Simu] while she distracts
people as Santa Susan.
Every single day in this house
is just madness.
[Susan]
Happy holidays.
Do you wanna sit on my lap
and tell me what you want for Christmas?
I don't think I'm gonna
sit on your lap, Santa.
[laughs]
People were just laughing,
like, what is she up to now?
Ho, ho, ho!
[Yahné sputters, laughs]
I thought they would just get
so annoyed at some point,
which they did, and left me alone.
Have you been
a good girl this year? [laughs]
[Yahné]
No, I'm always naughty.
