Laz?
- What are you doing?
- I'm sorry.
Laz.
Laz, no, you've had too much to drink.
- [car engine starts]
- Laz.
Get out of the way!
- I will smash your windscreen in.
- [engine revving]
Turn the engine off.
Move out of the way!
I'm being dead fucking serious.
Don't test me.
[gasps]
[engine turns off]
What are you doing?
This was in Sutton's bedroom
the night she died,
and that fucker Olsen had it,
had it in his house.
He gave it to me the other day.
Yeah. I know that.
I mean, Jesus, I was so fixed
on Billy tonight and saving Olsen.
He was right by Margot's body.
Hang on, you think Olsen killed
Sutton and Margot?
No, I don't think he did it,
I know he did it.
Where were you going?
Well, I know where he is.
He's at the hospital,
so I'm gonna show him this
and tell him I know what he did.
Right. Right, okay, well,
that's not gonna work.
He killed our sister, Jen,
and I saved his life tonight. I saved him.
Hey, you show Olsen that
before the police get hold of him,
you're just giving him a heads-up.
- [groans]
- Right.
Hey, but-but you are onto something,
so let's get that to someone
who'll know what to do with it.
Hey, it's me.
Yeah, in here.
What the fuck?
Ah.
Hi.
- Hi.
- Always lovely to see you,
but, um, guessing at 3:30
in the morning, something's up.
- [Lazarus] You've got to see this.
- [Seth] No, no.
- Don't do this to me again, Laz.
- Seth, Seth, no ghouls, no ghosts,
I promise, this is, this is rock solid.
Just take a look at this.
Here. Do you see that?
Yeah. [sighs]
Right, now see what Olsen
gave me the other day.
This was in her room
the night she was killed.
And we know where he is.
[tense, dramatic music]
[eerie, suspenseful music]

[sighs]
Okay, we want him in the corridor
as quickly and as quietly as possible.
[sighs]
[thunder rumbling]
This is ridiculous.
We're just sitting here.
There's a process, Laz.
[Lazarus sighs]
[footsteps approach]
Oh, about time.
Thank you, and we'd like that VHS.
Sure. Uh, what about Olsen?
You picked him up?
We're doing this by the book, Joel, okay?
We're not just turning up on spec
and making things up as we go along.
We're getting a warrant.
- He said that two hours ago.
- Well, there's a process.
- Well, he said that, too.
- [Brown] Because there is.
[sighs] Okay.
Well, while we're waiting,
Sutton's murderer also killed
Cassandra, Harry, and Margot,
- so that means--
- Sorry, Harry? Who's Harry?
Harry Nash.
A priest got done for killing him,
- except I don't think it was him.
- [sighs]
That's apart from the priest denying it,
because Sutton, Cassandra, this Harry,
and Margot were all connected
to my dad, so Olsen kills him as well.
God Almighty, Laz.
No one killed your father.
He took his own life, that's been proven.
He didn't take his own life!
- [Seth] Well, have you--
- Okay, all right, enough.
Thank you. [sighs]
I think what you have here,
in regard to Olsen and Sutton,
is compelling, but not conclusive.
- How is that photo not con--
- Hey, hey, hey. Let her finish.
For example,
you say this was in Olsen's house.
- Mm-hmm.
- Yes, it was.
And when Olsen says, "No, it wasn't.
I've never seen it before."
[stammers] Do DNA tests.
I mean, his'll be all over it.
Then his legal team say,
"Who's to say this toy
- is the same one in the photo?"
- [Jenna] Uh
But Sutton had this
from when she was a kid.
Sutton had two dogs.
That's why she gave one away.
- What? I mean, she didn't
- But that's just absurd.
- Why would she have two dogs?
- What? She didn't. She--
- That's what they'll say.
- [phone beeping]
[sighs] This is Oh, God.
The warrant's through.
Go bring him in.
[dramatic music playing]
Armed police! Armed police!
Stay where you are!
Okay. Quick as you can,
before he can destroy anything.
- Armed police. Show yourself.
- Stay where you are. Don't move.
- Armed police.
- Armed police.
Armed police.
- On the right.
- Out back.
Armed police!

- Armed police!
Stay where you are!
Clear.
[suspenseful music playing]
Clear.
Armed police. Stay still.
Clear.
Clear!
Nothing?
Not in here.
Okay, top to bottom, I want
a thorough search. I mean thorough.
[indistinct radio chatter]
[dramatic music playing]
What?
What, he's gone?
Yeah, no sign of him.
Oh, genius. Genius, do it by the book
and give him all the time in the world
to get away and go wherever he wants.
Laz, I'm sorry.
Oh, well, that's all right, then.
We will get him, okay?
And I-I am sorry. I
I know.
I'll go after him.
[Jenna] Hey.
[sighs]
[Jenna] Oh, wow,
would you stop behaving like you're the
only person being affected by any of this?
- That's not what's happening, Jen.
- Isn't it?
No, but are you having these
whatever-they-are apparitions
coming to you?
- No.
- You're doing it again.
- You're not.
- Well, are you sure you are?
I mean
I mean, what if you're not?
You think I don't have that possibility
in my head the whole time?
You don't think I know
I could be losing my mind again?
Come here.
- [indistinct chatter]
- [footsteps hurrying]
[Carter] Ted noticed this, Sarge.
[eerie music playing]
[Seth] What the hell are these?
[Carter] Clothes? Girls' underwear?
Right. Good work. Bag 'em up.
Check the other pictures.
[Carter] Yes, sir.
[dramatic music playing]
[eerie music playing]
[sighs]
[sighs]
[sighs]
Come on. Come on. Come on.
[elevator creaking]
[elevator bell buzzes]
Dad?
[door creaking]
[tense music playing]
S-Sorry, Dad.
Sorry, do you have a moment?
Oh, my God.
[sombre music playing]
Look up.
No, no, I looked him in the eye.
S-Sorry, Dad.
Sorry, do you have a moment?
[Jonathan] Do I have a moment?
- A moment's so fleeting.
- [fingers snap]
[snaps fingers] There. It's gone.
Do I have a moment?
A moment's so fleeting.
[whispers] There.
It's gone.
[chuckles] Sorry, yes.
Can we talk?
Of course we can.
I can't stop thinking about Sutton.
I can't stop feeling
that I could and should have
been there to stop what happened.
That her dying,
her-her getting killed is my fault.
Your fault why?
I saw her leave the dance, and
I saw she was upset, but
I stayed.
And what do you want me to do about that?
I don't know.
I suppose I want reassurance.
What, that Sutton's death was your fault?
No.
You want absolution.
"Forgive me, Father."
[Jonathan] Wrong type of father,
I'm afraid.
Wrong type of father, I'm afraid.
The best I can offer
is in matters of conscience,
for example, when you've promised
to walk your sister home,
the only one that can forgive you
is yourself,
because only you
can account
for the choices you've made
that trouble you now.
[sombre music playing]
I-I miss her.
I miss her.
- We've never not been together.
- Yes.
Yes, because she's your twin,
and because you grew
from nothing together.
A-And it's as if, suddenly,
half of your life has gone, but
you're still here.
And that hurts.
And that's what you and I have
to learn to live with.
[Jonathan] Are you okay, son?
Why'd you let that happen?
Why didn't you help me?
Why
when all you had to do was say,
"It's not your fault"?
You thought I was to blame.
No, never.
Then why let the boy,
who can't swim, drown?
'Cause that's what you did.
You, my father,
the person who mattered most to me,
held me responsible
for my sister's death!
- No.
- Yes!
But that's what you felt.
And still feel!
- But not what I felt, ever.
- Then why didn't you
rescue me?
- Joel.
- You saw the state
- I was in.
- Joel.
With all my heart,
mea culpa, truly, but
but when you have a child
and that child dies,
this void opens up before you,
because your children are your children.
They're not supposed to die before you.
And it was Sutton.
But I was your child, too.
I-I know.
You and Jenna.
I failed you both.
But you especially,
'cause I could see that you felt
as responsible as I did.
But in the understanding
that the only road to true peace
is facing and forgiving oneself,
I was as hard on you as I was on myself,
and that's no road
to send a young man down on his own.
It was as if you didn't care.
I was on my own.
I couldn't cope.
[sniffles] I did care.
Yeah, but you never showed me!
[tense music playing]
[tongue clicks]
I always wanted to think that you
came through okay.
God Almighty.
But I'm not okay.
[exhales]
[contemplative music playing]
Jen? Are you here?

He didn't go home last night,
and he's not answering his phone.
Have you seen him?

- You have?
Yeah, uh, Jen,
can you just give us a minute?
- Yeah. Okay.
- I'm sorry, what the fuck is going on?
Have you seen him?
Jen, you stay right there,
and you better start talking right now.
He-he-he came to see me last night.
What do you mean,
he came to see you last night?
And then
and then I drove him back to your house.
- You didn't drive him back to mine--
- Yes, yes.
- No, you--
- You were standing there
at the window, right there as I drove off.
Yeah I've just, I've just told you,
he did not come home!
And, uh, sorry, why would he want
to see you anyway?
I told him to leave you alone.
He'd had a paternity test done.
This is off his own bat, all right? I-I
I had nothing to do with it.
He um
he took my toothbrush,
got what he needed from it,
sent it off and
yesterday, the results came back

- What?
[Lazarus] Not now, Jen.

But we
we only met up that one time
after Paul and I got together.

Aidan's Paul's.
