annually by the concert bands

various high schools.

like we plan to do next week,
or they play pieces
in various formations.
A lot of students
will apply to high schools
with well-known concert bands
just based on what
the uniforms look like.

things have changed

Ever since the day we played
the "Marines' Hymn"
as an ensemble,
the band's mood
has drastically shifted.

"It doesn't matter
how hard we try,"
to, "We'll be able to improve
if we put in the effort."
It's pretty simple really.
We work hard when we
know we'll be rewarded for it,
and if we feel like
we're getting better,
we try to work even harder.

by a truck.

of packing the instruments
instruct us
on how to load them.
It's a lot of heavy lifting.
Our male band members
are crucial
at times like these.
