that they were there

The best part for me
was to see you out there
mingling with all of them,
and how you overcame some
of your shyness out there.

Like when I got out of the car,
people wanted my autograph, I-

so I was like, "Me?" - Really?

I felt like, famous or something.
- You know what was amazing,
is the way you worked the room,
the way that people came up
to you, and congratulated you,
and how you know, everybody was around you,
and just showing you all their love.
I don't know, just, it's so
many words I wanna say,
that I was just overwhelmed.
And you looked so happy,
and you kind of, you shined.

media you had a release party?

But we did do something special.

I was like, "Why is my foot burning?"

Maybe flats might be good sometimes.
Maybe not heels all the time.
- I, I wore the heels because you said to,
so it's kinda your fault.

- So today I made a few calls,
and got Paige invited
to this amazing premiere
for this new film called "Companion."
I think this is going to be interesting.
This is the first time going to a premiere,
despite what the internet may say.
And so I think, I know,
that she's ready for this opportunity.
(soft expectant music)
Walk in, empty hand ♪

- So I styled myself
again for the red carpet.
I spent a lot of time trying
to find the perfect dress
that was also, you know, affordable.
My, well my mom picked it out,
so I shouldn't actually
take all the credit.
Looking for a cheap thrill ♪
And it won't be wasted, oh, oh ♪
- I, I felt really confident in this dress.
I felt, you know, like I
just thought it looked
really pretty, and I felt really
pretty and confident in it.
Don't make me, I'm cutthroat ♪
- When I got the call from
my manager that I was going
to be walking this red
carpet for this movie premiere,
I was really excited.
I immediately told everyone I knew.
I, I was really nervous,
'cause I knew I was gonna be
around a lot of people,
and fellow influencers,
and I was, I was shaking.
I don't think I've ever like met an actual,
like, celebrity before. (text whooshing)
(soft poignant music) Hey, what's up?
- [Grandma] Hi honey, I
was, one, I went online
just to share your article,
and it's not there anymore.
- What do you mean? What do you mean?
- [Grandma] It's just not there.
I don't know if they took
it down, or what happened.
But I went to look for it,
'cause I wanted to share it,
and, to some of my friends,
and it's just not there anymore.
What happened?
- When my grandma called me to tell me
that the article was taken
down, I was really upset,
as one should be, because of how much time
and effort went into this.
And I was just wondering
like, why did it get taken down?
Like, why does stuff like
this always happen to me?
Whether it's like my account's
getting banned or whatever,
it's just like, why can't I
just have this one moment?
You know, the article was
up for like, I think like a day.
There wasn't any issues
until this, you know,
phone call was made to have it taken down.
So they were trying
to find any little excuse
to not have my article
published, which is why
I had to even take down
my Instagram post about it.
And that was very crushing to me,
'cause I don't think I've
ever received so much love
and positive comments and feedback ever,
from one of my posts.
And I got so many messages about it,
so like to like take that
down, and my moment to be
kind of like, okay, like you had your,
your like, you know, 24 hours or whatever.
And like, it was just like, yeah I'm like,
this sucks, and it's just so unfair.
And I just feel like, like why,
why does everyone have it
out for me, but. (laughing)
(soft thoughtful music)
After the red carpet, everyone
was posting about the photos
and seeing like, you know,
like the, all the hate comments.
I also, you know, I
struggle with insecurity,
a lot of people do.
And it definitely did
not help my self-esteem.
I like, that's good that
you're getting (sniffing)
good messages too.
I hate like, you know like,
involving myself with
other people, 'cause like,
like you don't deserve hate, and like,
you get it just for associating with me,
and it makes me sad.
But like, it doesn't matter, you know?
So (sniffing) yeah, and this is just like,
what's gonna like, you know happen,
especially with what I'm
doing now, and even the show,
which I'm like, so excited
for, like that's gonna be,
you know people are
just gonna tear me apart
for my looks, but I
wanna be like authentic.
I wanna like, film scenes
without makeup, and just,
you know, I just wanna, to
do like as much as I can, like,
'cause I don't wanna
just be like, you know,
like a photo on Instagram anymore.
I want, I wanna do more,
and that's just, you know,
like what comes with it.
I wasn't handling it well.
Imagine like the entire
internet is like, calling you ugly.
It's not gonna feel good.
I look back at it now
and I'm like, you know,
I feel bad for her.
You know, no one should
have to go through that.
And you know, I'm a
victim of cyber bullying,
and it sucks, it's not fun.
But like people also, you know,
project their own insecurities onto you.

me, it felt really good.
She made me like, this

like, how was the premiere?
- It was, it was really good, it-

I had a really good time.
I got to meet like,
the actors in the movie,
which was really cool. - Who was there?
- I don't know, like, I don't know names.

I was a little like,
overwhelmed towards the end.
But I had a really good time.

I saw the photos, I was like,
"What are they talking about?"
And I hate the internet sometimes.

I literally woke up, got on the internet,
and saw that a lotta
people were bullying her for,
just talking about her face.
Saying, "Oh she looks
like this," and, "oh,"
and, "da da da, why does she?"
Literally that, I
promise y'all, that event,
she had no intention of
looking like anyone but herself.
She literally got this
beautiful black dress,
and she walked, she ate.
And next thing you know,
people are trying to tear her down.
So as soon as I saw
that, I was like, "Nah."
I got a little care package for her.
I went to Target, got her some chocolate,
got her some face masks,
got her a relaxation kit.
Because I'm like, "Girl."
I knew she was gonna freak out.
I knew she was gonna turn her phone off,
and not wanna look at
anything for the rest of the day.
So I pulled up and I
was like, "Girl, breathe,
and take this care package, and talk to me.
Like, how do you really feel,
and how can you feel
better past this moment?"
At the end of the day, we all
know haters are gonna hate.
If anyone knows, I know.
So I just tried to, gave her some advice,
and you know, help her
get through this time.
- I don't like how the
internet is, and I know
as soon as I posted about the event,
people were gonna dig up shit.
And I posted, you know,
one of the Getty images.
So people went on like Getty
images, like looked up my name.
So they posted like, all the pictures,
like ones like I haven't even seen.
And yeah, I saw like on
Twitter, like it was trending.
And I was, I like, I don't know.
I didn't know like, that
I was ugly. (laughing)
- Girl, you're not ugly.
Don't listen to them.
Like literally, I seen the
comments, and they were like,
"Oh this, that," and they had some, girl,
they said the crimson chin,
what crimson chin, where?
- Handsome Squidward. - And you believe it?
Don't believe it, it's
stupid. They're all lying.
I seen, one person did like a AI video,
like they took your face and
AI'd it, so it's not even true.
- When Lizzy came over
to like, check up on me,
it felt really good.
She made me like, this
little like, self-care basket.
I understand what Lizzy was saying,
but I want the world to
know that yes, I have fun.
And people, you know, have said that maybe
I've even gone too far.
But I haven't got my face reconstructed
to look like anyone else,
and I'm gonna prove that today.

I'm a board certified plastic surgeon,
practicing in West Hollywood
and Beverly Hills, California, since 2004.
I got a call earlier this week from Lizzy,
saying that Paige wanted to see me.
She wanted to discuss some
questions about plastic surgery,
and to be examined in person,
so I thought I'd be happy to see her.
Paige? - Hi.
- How are you? - Nice to meet you.
- [William] Dr. Bruno, nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you. - Sure.
What can I do for you today?
- I felt nervous walking into the office.
Always nervous to meet someone new,
but it went really well,
and he was so kind.
So basically I just wanna
like, debunk all like,
the plastic surgery rumors
that I've been getting.
- And despite denying that,
you're receiving thoughts
and comments that you've had things done?
- Yes. - Okay.
Have you ever considered
having any plastic surgery done,
or even thought about it?
- I, I have thought about
it, but I would never like,
actually get surgery done,
just because it's like irreversible.
- Right. - So that scares me.
- That's reasonable, and you're young,
so there's probably no, no real need
to have anything at this point.
Okay, well let's take a closer look,
see if there's a, even a remote chance
that you've had anything done.
- Okay, that sounds good.
- So after having the
opportunity to visit with Paige
and do a, you know, history
and physical exam, you know,
there's no evidence that
she had plastic surgery.
She did state that she
had some fillers in the past,
which I think is very typical
of a patient of her age.
And I think she's gonna
have a great career,
and I don't see any need for her
to have plastic surgery at this point.
(engine rumbling)

he was sober for like,
I don't know, a long
time, maybe like a year.
I don't know, I didn't live with him.
But every time I talked
to him he seemed fine,
till one night I could tell
he started drinking again.
But he never, he never admits it.

For an hour and a half, he

- My daughter did pretty good.

Her tongue's sharper than

She'd cut you in half
with that mouth of hers.
But Paige did good, she did really good.
I think my son got one,
but she, and throws an ax,
(exhaling) she barely
reaches the board, you know.
The ax is bigger than
her, and she's, (laughing)
she even throws an ax like a little girl.
She's so feminine.
Anyway, she'd make a heck of an ax killer,
I'll tell you. (laughing) Go team, go ♪
- That was fun, I'm surprised
how bad we are at that.
Paige, Paige, I think your personality
is definitely like, oh the best.
Listen, Paige never, like
Paige never gets mad or mean
or nasty, never a, there's
not a nasty bone in her body.
She's a, that's why like,
if anybody hurts Paige,
it's a travesty, because
she is such a nice person.
You could hurt her feelings
and all she'll do is like,

put her head down like this.
She, right? Her temperament-

- When she does get mad,
it takes so much for her
to get upset or hurt She just goes-

will get to that point,
and then you feel really
bad, 'cause you know
to get her to that point,
you are a real jerk to her.
I don't know where she gets it from.

That's why I Absolutely not.

- But the Barkers aren't like that.

- Hearing my family
afterwards just talk about,
kinda like my personality,
and where they think
that I get it from, and all that,
it was funny, it was cute. (laughing)
Yeah, I just, I'm like
the shy one in the group.
I'm like the quiet one.
But I love hearing my family talk,
and say like nice things about me.
Like, it makes me really happy.
