have both beaten the odds
and passed the Magic
Knights Entrance Exam.

[EXAMINEES gasping, chattering]
[GAYAYA]

Asta's brain realized something.
Thus far, he'd used
his well-trained body,
his kinetic vision,
and his explosive power
to slice through magic
and destroy his foes.
But this time was different.
Magna's magic was too quick
for Asta to intercept.
[ASTA]
It's so fast!
[NARRATOR]
Even if he did slice through it,
the force of the
attack would not die,
and Asta would still
absorb the full blow.
[ASTA]
I can't block it!
[NARRATOR] When he knew
he was out of options,
all thought shut down.
However, his body
still refused to give up.
[NARRATOR] Asta had spent
years training his body.
And when faced with
this final struggle
[yells]
[NARRATOR] somehow,
it found a way to survive.
[LUCK]

[CHARMY]

That's the first time in a while
that we haven't had
to rescue the newbie.
[YAMI] He couldn't slice it
with the blade's edge,
so he hit it with the flat.
Seems that sword can both
cut through magic
and reflect it. Interesting.
[ASTA]

but it turns out

This sword is awesome!
