And for a sad,
middle-aged man like myself,
[chuckles] she burns

The meeting to discuss
anti-Gnosia procedures
will commence shortly.

[sighs] Though
it pains me to depart,
it seems we have
no other choice.

We were fortunate the evacuation

a bunch of Gnosia infectees

among the 12 of us on board,
three of us are Gnosia.

and may use it
to protect their crewmates
from attack during warp.
When a human
is fully secured in this way,
it is impossible
for the Gnosia
to target them for elimination.
However,
because this place
is a great strain
on the ship's hardware,
only one person
can be protected per night.
Additionally,
the Guardian Angel
cannot protect themselves.
That's interesting.
So at the end of every meeting,
if they can predict
who is the most likely
to be targeted
They can prevent that person
from getting taken out.
[LEVI] Yes, that is correct.
[YURI] I see.
That makes sense.
At least, now I know
what's expected of me
and the role I need to play.
Well, who wants to claim they're
the Guardian Angel then?

intends to step forward.
Of course they wouldn't.

Obviously, we could get lucky.
But if we guess wrong,
we'll lose a real asset.
Better if we don't risk it.

we should be looking at someone
outside of those four, I guess.

is that we know
there are three Gnosia.
And if two of them are among
the four who declared a role,
then out of
all eight of us remaining
[CHIPIE] There's only one.
[JONAS] So choosing
one of us at random
comes with a 90% chance
of sending an innocent man
to an icy fate.

So with that in mind, then,
is it really wise for us
to exclude the other four?
It's difficult to say.
If we're unsure,
then anyone will do.

and things will become clear.

to eliminate the real Engineer,

legitimately identify them.

that confirms the one
who gets taken out was human.

who remains is Gnosia.
They'd be ensuring
one of their own
was sent to cold sleep

Surely they can think
that far ahead at least.

I should choose someone
who hasn't stepped forward.
And there are six
of them to pick from,
so the odds
that I would mistakenly
protect a Gnosia are low.

You need to think
like a Gnosia.
Whose death would give them
the biggest advantage

And for that matter,
why would they wanna claim

as the real one.

to keep protecting them alone.

the entire crew unhindered.

So even if it does mean
risking one Gnosia
being identified
first thing tomorrow,
there's still a good chance
that they'll go after
the real Engineer first.

to protect Kukrushka.

knowing that,
and the fact that Gnosia
wouldn't attack each other,
Kukrushka is an ally,
and Comet is
absolutely a Gnosia.
This is about to be the easiest
vote of our entire lives!
I just need them to believe me.
Okay. Doctors and Engineers,
please come forward
with your reports.
[SHIGEMICHI] Whoo!

Not that it's a big surprise,
but Stella was human.
He's correct.
My findings were the exact same.
Which means freezing her
was utterly meaningless.

who she identified as human,
is the real Doctor.
The Gnosia will want to stop
it all from falling into place.

they'll probably target

to establish now
is which one of them
is the real Doctor.
