It was tough.
And then I think when you
went viral on one of your TikToks,
kids were noticing you, and it was
They're like, "Oh, that's that
girl that was on that video."
And so, of course, everybody
was giving you attention,
and then, you know, you
have your haters and stuff, so
But,
yeah, I think-
- And the pandemic took
her right out of school.
- The COVID, yeah.
Once COVID hit, you know,
everybody was kind of confined
to online training and
doing their homework.
And I know you and me helped her out there
on that part of it,
but I don't know where
you were at. (laughs)
- I know where she was at.
She was in New York,
working in the hospitals
during the pandemic.
- [Karl] No, I know, I was-
- That's right.
- I was gone for, like, a couple months,
and people act like I was gone
for, like, 18 years of her life.
(group laughs)
She's with me.
- [Michelle] She's always been with you.
- Yeah.
There are some people
who drink and they get mean.
He got, was starting to get really mean.
Did he ever hit me?
No.
But has he thrown, like, food at me?
Yes.
Have I ever thrown a
glass of water in his face?
Yes.
So it was just,
it was just, like, bad.
We did separate for two years.
- You know, we're not on
bad terms, I don't think.
We're civil and-

There was times, you know,
you know, in our pre-divorce,
where, you know, like every divorce,
isn't always that great, but yeah.
We ended up being friends, you know,
especially to be I want nothing
but the best for you, honestly.
- [Karl] With Paige.
- I want to be okay and happy.

co-parenting with Paige.
- [Gina] But always, whatever
she needs from her parents,
we'll always be there for her.

- But I don't think,
like, we really co-parent.

But at the end of the day, I always

how much that I loved you.

at the end of our marriage.
I loved you right up until the time
we could not be together anymore,
and when I realized that we,
that things were never gonna turn around,
and I, you know, decided
to make a different choice.
But up until then, I loved you to death,
and, like, fought for you.
So it just didn't work out.
It didn't work out.
The timing was wrong,
and the direction was not
We just never met.
We just never met.
Our love never met at the same time.
Like, my love for you met no love back and-

- [Gina] We never loved
each other at the same time.

was my mom met my stepdad

um, like, she just left to meet him.
But sometimes it felt
like her and my dad was
There was moments where
it felt like her and my dad
maybe would have made
things work or got back together.
But then she would always, like, you know,
go back to, like, talking
to my stepdad, I guess.
It's so complicated.
It's really complicated.
It's a lot to say.
Yeah, it's just sad.
It's hard for me.

- You miss how it used to be?

Or do you kinda miss,
wish it was better than what we used to be?

There was a long time
I wish we could have worked it out too.
I think Paige was, like,
seven or eight years old
when we separated for two
years and got back together.
And we got back together and I was
I don't know what happened,
but I just saw him differently.
He got a promotion at work.
He was very just like normal to me.
For some reason, in my head,
I saw him as a normal person,
and I started to fall
back in love with him.
So we got back together,
but he never acted
Or I don't think he wanted to.
I think it was more me wanting to.
I don't think he wanted to
really get back together with me,
and he did it because I
was very pushy about it.
And we got back together
and he just never really
loved me the same, yeah.
It never
And I had had a relationship
and he had had a
relationship in that time period.
He just didn't
He was drinking more.
He was unhappy.
He was coming home from work drunk.
He lost his job due to that.
- [Karl] As a kid growing up,
seeing your parents divorce-
- Yeah.
- [Karl] You know, in junior high
and in high school Oh, I've been there.
You haven't.
I've been there. - [Karl] I haven't
but I know you have.
- Yeah, it sucks.
- [Karl] And I couldn't have imagined
what a child goes through-
- Yeah, it's bad, it's bad.
- [Karl] Seeing their mom and dad split.
- I think what you're doing,
I mean, you realize though,
it's so cool to have two people
that are divorced, you know,
just sit down at a table
and have a really nice
conversation with each other.
- [Karl] Yeah.
- It's really rare.
- [Karl] Yeah.
- [Richard] So that's
kind of a blessing as well.
- And you did that.
- You brought us together
for this, you know?

with your family go?
- It went good, I think.
I had dinner with them last night.
Yeah, it was, like, a weird kind of moment
just seeing them together in the same room.

"How does it feel to
have your family in town?"
And y'all, I'm very
spiritual, if you couldn't tell.
I don't know.
She said everything was
great, everything was fine.
Honestly, I could see through her eyes.
I'm like, girl.
But I don't, I didn't wanna push her,
but I definitely felt like she
was going through something
that she couldn't just, she
couldn't speak on in the moment.
Was it awkward having
them all in the room or-

- It was weird and really,
like, emotional for me, so

This has been going

that had flopped herself
on Paige's bed while she's sleeping.
