going on in my life right now,
Reale Actives launch week is here,
and there's been so much momentum
and hype built up to this moment.
Like, I want to go into this moment
and for there to be an element of, like,
"Wow. Oh my gosh.
This is happening. This is so cool."
And not like, "Wrah-wrah."
I studied marketing in college,
and I always say
if I wasn't an influencer now,
I think I would be
on the other end of what I do, um,
working with brands on campaigns
and maybe like their socials or marketing.
I just love everything
to do with understanding,
you know, what makes a consumer
drawn towards something.
And it is something
I'm really passionate about.
I also think it's going to help people
maybe take me more seriously
because there's something
that feels a little bit more legitimate
to say that I have a business of my own,
rather than just posting
these videos online.
I think that's why
the stakes feel so much different, um,
for this compared to
anything I've done before.

that I've been able to make it

I've been just less of a priority

doesn't really understand what I want
or where I'm coming from sometimes.
So that can be a little… challenging.
I feel like he could at least
suggest rescheduling
or meeting at a different time.

we reschedule the whole thing.

I feel like, you know, as my manager,
you should be on those calls.
This is, like,
one of my busiest months ever.

So I have here some exhibits
for our conversation.
This is what I do for you.
This was our strategic goals for the year.
A parent inevitably gets,
you know, underappreciated.
But when you're a dad and a manager
or a parent and a manager,
I feel like you get it twice as bad.
Ashtin and Alix, to some extent,
don't really fully appreciate
everything that I do for them
or even know or acknowledge
what I do for them.
-This is what I call your business lines.
-Mm-hm.
Here's your team structure
as it currently sits.
Did you make these because
Alix told you I was gonna fire you?
-No. But I had a sense.
-[Ashtin laughs]
But now in terms of what I do, right?
There's the duties of a manager,
which is to guide your career.
But there's things that I do
that I think are above and beyond
what a typical industry manager would do.
Do I think an industry manager would guide
your career? If they're good, yes.
Do I think they would open doors for you?
If they're good, yes.
Then there's things they don't do
because they're not equipped to do it.
And that's where I think I come in.
I think I help keep you guys grounded.
I think I give it to you straight
when you're not doing things
the way I think they should be done
or you're getting
a little full of yourself.
I'm always gonna be there
to check you on that.
And I think that
that is a critical part of all of it.
I don't know what I'm doing sometimes.
So I feel like kind of lost.
Ultimately, for me, as your father,
but somebody who's involved in your team,
my priority is to make sure that
you live a healthy and prosperous life.
-[poignant music playing]
-This is a challenging business.
And nothing means more to me
than making sure you're well taken care of
and that you…
this business doesn't harm you.
I'm very proud of where we are.
I'm very proud of you.
I talked to my therapist yesterday.

And she said that--

if somebody I love
feels like I let them down, that…
It, like, really negatively affects me.
-Um, I have a big problem with that.

So, I guess the good thing is,
is that you don't have to worry

is I will let you down.

Then there's things they don't do
because they're not equipped to do it.
And that's where I think I come in.
I think I help keep you guys grounded.
I think I give it to you straight
when you're not doing things
the way I think they should be done
or you're getting
a little full of yourself.
I'm always gonna be there
to check you on that.
And I think that
that is a critical part of all of it.
I don't know what I'm doing sometimes.
So I feel like kind of lost.
Ultimately, for me, as your father,
but somebody who's involved in your team,
my priority is to make sure that
you live a healthy and prosperous life.
