I've had feelings for Jeff
probably since I met him.
We started out
as hooking up,
but it kind of just
transitioned
into this friendship,
a very close friendship
that I love and cherish.
So he might be surprised

He's a catfish.

And literally
after like four weeks,
I was like, if you don't meet me
right now for a drink,
I'm just blocking your number.
I was like, this is stupid.

to meet him for a margarita
in a blizzard.
But I went, I went.
[Jeff] And post open heart surgery.
[Alex] Yes, I still had bandages on
and a scar
[Jeff] I was unaware of all of this.
So I'm like, get here now.
And he's like, this is actually
the first day
I'm allowed to drink.
And then did

What's the story now?

like, dated for,
I would say,
probably like three months.
He's like always scheming
something and like

And then for a birthday
present, he was like,

We're going to Paris

whatever comes my way.
And I feel like if Allyssa and

limit to where we can go.

my big fears
is that I'm afraid of
the "what if" behind

losing you.
It's very nerve wracking.
I think the cause of
the pattern of me and Jeff
that we've been doing year
after year is fear.
Crossing a line
that you can't come back from
is always scary.
But to me, the reward kind
of outweighs the risk.
And for a long time,
my second fear was
feeling alone in this,
that I was
the only one feeling it.
I didn't know kind of how he was
feeling or if he felt the same.
So to be here and hear him
say that he does feel the same,
this isn't all in my head.
It was really,
really refreshing.
It's interesting, though,
because it's like,
why can't we like,
push to the next level?
And I think that's what
I'm trying to do with you,
like now is push myself
to a point that like,
I've never allowed myself
to push myself to.

we've spent so long
telling ourselves so harshly
that we're friends
that like, it's going
to take a little bit
to kind of like,
move past that.
I think another thing
that I probably struggle
with is the commitment.
And like the adult aspect,
I feel like we both have seen
so many of our friends
and just go through like
divorces,
or we feel like they're
complacent or they're settling.
We look at all these
people whose lives
we don't want to have.
And I feel like it's scary
to think that
that could be like the end,
if you will, that
we're just like, adulting.
I maybe am scared of
like a full on commitment
because I think it's like,
you're becoming an adult
and like giving up on life
maybe is how I perceive it.
I don't know,
but there's clearly
like some mental block
that I have a difficult
time processing.
And in your mind right now,
is it like maybe worth the risk?

you would've went home.
So I feel like,
am I past our reoccurring thing?
A thing I've always done
is I always run.
And I think I don't want
to run from you.

take a step back
and look at it
from a different perspective
of what's really going on

the highway deal.
Like, it just doesn't
work for me,
and you have a past with her,

way more than I do.

how it's always been? Or

hit like, a couple of key points
that I would agree
with you on.
It's weird to talk to Taylor
because he's the other person

a little uneasy.
If she has something
