I'm here to tell you
that the ten of you
won't be able to participate
in this year's competition.
However
instead of being discouraged
I hope you take this
as a good opportunity to learn.
I understand the disappointment
you must be feeling right now.
You might be frustrated
or even jealous
of your fellow band members.
And yet,
these types of experiences
make us better performers.
So, use what you're feeling now
as a form of motivation.
Practice hard, and you'll
improve dramatically.
And if you work together,
you can use this opportunity
to grow as musicians.
