Or at least it was, until the blast hit.

Two months ago, there was an explosion
at a nuclear missile silo
in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The public was told that this
was an act of ecoterrorism.
But your government's been lying to you.
The blast actually occurred
at a secret government prison
called the Pit, which was home
to the worst killers
the world has ever seen, all of whom
the public believed were dead.
The blast killed many of
these inmates, but many more
escaped and remain at large
throughout this country.
Federal agents are not equipped
to apprehend these killers.
This is why Attorney General
Mallory assigned me
to a specialized team,
which she has since disbanded
with disastrous effects.
This is one of the largest
government cover-ups
in the history of the United States.

into his victims' homes,
waiting for them underneath their bed
before drugging them with a paralytic.
Simms was a companion control killer,
which means he didn't actually
want his victims dead.
He just wanted them still.
For him, intimacy was only safe
if he knew the other person
couldn't leave.
And it was after he had complete control
that he felt fully safe
expressing himself.
He would stay with them for days on end,
never leaving their side.
They slowly died from sepsis
as their internal organs
began to shut down one by one
from the paralytic.
Yeah, this creep was all over the news
when I was in high school.

It was about the isolation
that it created.
I mean, everyone wants connection, right?
Everyone needs intimacy.
Ron just didn't know how to get it.
Belonging is an essential human need.
It's level three of Maslow's hierarchy.
I had a lot of time for reading
the past couple weeks.
I understand the essential human need,
but what part of Ron Simms' brain
equates immobilizing women with intimacy?
So in police interviews,
Ron talks about being a kid
and watching his mom passed out
from barbiturates and alcohol.
He would lie with her sometimes,
putting his head on her chest,
seeking connection.
Because she was immobilized?
Mm-hmm.
I regret asking that question.
So are all these videos just of
Ron acting weird and ignoring people?
For the first three years
in the Pit, yeah, pretty much.
It was just standard
cognitive behavioral therapy.
But then he starts to work
with Dr. Dresden Charles,
a psychiatrist that specializes
in animal-assisted therapy.
He was a pioneer
in this particular modality.
That's when the real
breakthrough happened.

Which means he's probably

location using their ISP.
