Anyway, we get back in the car
and ten minutes later, sure enough,
he's like, "Hannah, I
think you better drive."
[CHUCKLING] I thought he was
gonna puke all over the car.
So we look for the
nearest place to stop,
and that's how we
found the Cape Cod Inn.
The next morning, we
canceled the rest of the trip,
and we went straight home.
And later he admitted to me
that he'd been okay enough
to continue with the trip,
he just wanted to go home.
Why?
It was maybe only the second
time that he'd left you alone
since your mom died.
He didn't want to be away from you.
